If there was one color that’d unite all fashion people around the world, it’d be black—and for good reason. It’s the ultimate neutral. It looks good on literally everyone. Not to mention with the right pieces an all-black outfit can be sharp and impactful delivering the perfect dose of confidence and sophistication. As a fashion editor, I too am a huge fan of the dark hue. In fact, my closet consists of more black clothing than any other singular color out there. Let’s face it. While a bright pop of a pretty color is refreshing, there’s something undeniable about the power of black.
I regularly spend countless hours digging through the online retail world to locate the top selects worth sharing with you. I’ve stumbled upon some of the best black clothing finds out there, and I’ve decided to include a curation of my favorites below.
Ahead shop everything including the infamous LBD, a perfect everyday cardigan, chic leather items, and so much more. Keep scrolling to uncover your new favorite fashion finds.
Aside from Nordstrom having the best elevated basics and lovey-dovey lingerie, the West Coast–based retailer also has the best date-night pieces. Now that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, there’s nothing more time-consuming than scrolling for hours on end to find the chicest outfits to wear during that special date night. Even though I’m a fiend for online shopping, looking at my Nordstrom cart, which is often overwhelmingly full, isn’t the most productive way to spend the weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day with my partner, so thankfully, I’ve done all my shopping early this year.
From date-night dresses and speakeasy-appropriate denim to splurge-worthy Valentine’s Day gifts for someone else (or yourself!), Nordstrom may have the best selection of V-Day goods and garments this year. Below are 32 pieces I’ve left in my online cart.
I’d describe the Nordstrom shoe department in one word—epic. Whether you head into one of the stores or scroll through the offering online, you’re bound to find at least one style that piques your interest. And that’s thanks, in part, to the range of silhouettes.
Whether you’re in the market for a gorgeous pair of heels, versatile flats, cool loafers, or comfortable sneakers, Nordstrom will have it for you. On that note, I took a scroll through these categories to pull out the styles that I’m loving right now to provide any shopping inspiration you may need.

Basics could often be described as the backbones of a solid wardrobe. Susie Wright (the mastermind behind the blog So Susie) couldn’t agree more. With her work as a former Nordstrom buyer and current stylist, she’s recommended and tested a range of basics over the years to uncover those versatile standouts. As she’s been sorting through her closet in the new year, she actually zeroed in on the elevated and trendier basics she’ll deem as 2023 staples because of their easy-to-wear nature. Alternatively, there are a few pieces she probably won’t wear as much because they don’t feel as fresh in her eyes.
If you’re looking for a bit of shopping inspiration to add a few new basics into your rotation, keep scrolling for Wright’s list. Of course, it’s always smart to remember that you should always wear whatever you love and what makes you feel comfortable, despite what someone else may or may not be wearing. Go on for more.
With the world seemingly falling apart at every turn, It’s become more important than ever to find moments of joy in everyday mundane activities. For fashion people, a great way to tackle this is by channeling your energy into getting dressed in pieces that make happy chemicals swirl around your noggin in delight. As always, we here at WWW are your handy dandy designated style hunters, so I’ve dug through the far corners of Nordstrom’s robust online retail presence to find some Serotonin-Inducing fashion pieces that’ll turn that frown upside down.
All fashion enthusiasts know how great of a feeling it is to score an item that makes you excited about the endless possibilities. To get into all those warm feels keep scrolling and check out the selection of affordable, yet chic Nordstrom goods we have ahead. It’s time to bring on the joy.
Every fashion person knows that a great handbag really ties together a look. However, securing a high-quality designer handbag can really start to add up with many options going from several hundreds of dollars to thousands and thousands. While I’m all for putting together an outfit, money is tight. I regularly spend countless hours scrolling through the internet’s handbag offerings, and the affordable options at Nordstrom and Net-a-Porter have caught my attention time and time again. I’ve dug through these luxury websites and curated a selection of beautiful designer handbags that are all under $300.
Ahead you’ll find top picks from your favorite designer brands including (but not limited to) Ganni, Kate Spade, Coach, ByFar, Staud, and so much more. Shop handbag styles for every occasion from glamourous clutches to the quintessential work tote. There’s something for every kind of bag lover and all at such an affordable price point.
On my long list of resolutions for the new year close to the top is focusing on wellness. Now when I say that I don’t mean elaborate wellness trips or making any major lifestyle changes, I just want to be more intentional on how I take care of myself. After all when you’re not taking care of yourself in the way your body needs you can’t show up as your best in other areas of your life. The main things I’m focusing on are getting enough sleep, after all feeling well rested is the best way to kick ass in life both professionally and personally.
I also want to focus on my skincare and doing things that make me feel centered like taking long baths, listening to my favorite podcasts while walking around New York, and cuddling up with an Ugg blanket to watch my favorite movie, and integrating some wellness supplements into my diet. When looking for items to help me on my wellness journey the retailer I turned to was Nordstrom. They actually have an entire section on their website dedicated to all things wellness. I rounded up 30 items that I cannot wait to try.
To the untrained eye, winter fashion looks much easier than it actually is. In a world of puffer jackets, fuzzy boots, and chunky scarves, the best advice the fashion crowd often whispers to friends and family isn’t just about the buzziest winter trends that they need to follow. It’s about how to layer winter clothing properly.
We’ve gone over layering 101 here at Who What Wear, from the base layers you need to buy to stay toasty to the best materials for insulating knitwear. Although layering can seem complicated (and expensive!), some of the chicest pieces ring in well under $150 while remaining true to your personal style.
“When you’re adding sweaters to your wardrobes, we start with basics and think about the different ways that you can style them,” Rachel Boedecker, a stylist at Nordstrom, told Who What Wear. “Once you’ve got basics covered, we look for something different and unique, like a cutout, unique neckline, and unexpected color or silhouette.”
One of my favorite things to do is browse through the beauty counters at department stores. It’s a source of endless inspiration—there’s makeup, skincare, fragrance, and more as far as the eyes can see. It reminds me of being a kid and going to a makeup counter with my mom.
The thing about beauty counters is that they can feel overwhelming. It’s hard to know what to pick when you’re faced with so many choices. If you’re looking for new beauty products in 2023, I talked to Autumne West, Nordstrom’s national beauty director, to learn what she recommends. Keep reading to see her curated edit of Nordstrom’s beauty section. After all, she does know it the best.
Winter comes with decreased temps, tons of cozy layers, and sometimes snow. However, there’s one winter occurrence that gets even the grumpiest person excited —it’s vacation. Yes, winter is the perfect opportunity to escape the frigid temperatures and opt for some much-needed R&R under the tropical sun. While vacations are all about living it up, the process of shopping and packing to prepare for the vacation can be a little stressful. I love looking to Nordstrom’s robust variety of goods to snag a few items that help make traveling so much easier.
Ahead I’ve dug through Nordstrom for a selection of travel bags, goods, and accessories that’ll help get you closer to white sand palm trees. Keep scrolling and prepare to shop travel organization items, mini versions of your favorite products, and the perfect weekender bag. Before you know it, you’ll be sipping on piña coladas soaking beach-side.
I don’t know about you, but Scandi style is all I can think about right now. The stylish women in Europe’s northern capitals like Oslo, Stockholm, and Copenhagen seem to possess a certain effortlessly cool polish that the internet (and this editor) can’t get enough of. Thanks to the popularity of influencers like Matilda Djerf and Pernille Teisbaek, their particular brand of elevated minimalism is inspiring droves of outfit re-creations by us Americans.
As someone who studies Scandi style like it’s my job (well, it sort of is), I thought it would be fun to put myself in their shoes for the day and imagine the types of things that would fill their carts on a shopping trip to an American standby, Nordstrom. Although the beloved retailer that’s the topic of much of our conversations here doesn’t have any doors in Europe at the moment, plenty of popular Scandi staples are casually sitting on its site as we speak.
Behold—the ultimate guide to shopping our favorite retailer like a true Scandi fashion person, from the items they’d be buying to what they’d politely skip.
Not to stress you out or anything, but we’re still knee-deep in the throes of winter, meaning an impending snowstorm is a likely probability, and extremely cold weather is a definite possibility. All of this to say, it’s still a smart investment to add a pair of boots to your current lineup.
While a bit late in the game to go boot shopping, there is a silver lining here—most retailers have deeply discounted their boot selection, Nordstrom included. And when it comes to browsing new footwear, there really isn’t a better place than Nordstrom. From its wide range of shoe sizes to its diverse assortment of styles and price points, Nordstrom is really a one-stop shop for the best pairs on the market. If you weren’t in the mood to comb through 71 pages of shoes, I’ve done it for you. The below pairs are some of the best of the best Nordstrom has to offer. Keep scrolling to shop them all.
Listen, no one loves splurging on a bag more than yours truly. But, that doesn’t make it economical. As part of my “new year, new me” I’ve taken to my shopping habits with a practical lens. And I’ve already found that there are worth-it bags that don’t break the shiny, new budget.
I set out on a hunt for sophisticated, expensive-looking bags. Handbags are typically a slightly more expensive piece so I capped the search at $300. I turned to Nordstrom for my hunt and my cart is now overfloweth with polished woven bags, faux leather tote bags, chic shoulder bags, and adorable mini bags that are new-budget-approved.
It would be wrong not to share the wealth (of knowledge) so I’ve included the best 21 handbags that will have you feeling rich and looking expensive.
While I enjoy the optimism and feeling of getting a fresh start that a new year provides, I can’t help but think ugh when I hear the word January. It’s cold, long, and dark, and the holiday cheer is a distant memory, but we might as well live in the moment and make the best of it, right? Right. And the best way I know how is by having small things to look forward to, like a cozy new sweater or a pair of slippers to make my WFH life a little more enjoyable.
These days, having a package from Nordstrom, Zara, or Shopbop on my frozen doorstep is pretty much the highlight of my day, and all three retailers are currently fully stocked with warm things (some of which is even on sale) to get us all through this long, dreary month. So before we start wishing January away, let’s live in the moment and think about what we’re going to (or at least would like to) wear. I’ll go first—scroll to see what I chose from Nordstrom, Zara, and Shopbop.
New year, new arrivals. Many of the stores we turn to on a regular basis for fresh staples dropped new arrivals or restocked favorite pieces this week, including Nordstrom, J.Crew, and H&M. So I thought I’d curate an edit of the items I’m particularly into from each that I think you’ll adore as well.
But here’s the thing. Many of the items have high viewership (you can see how many people are eyeing certain items on Nordstrom and J.Crew, for example) or already have lower stocks. So there’s a chance that many will actually sell out before February even arrives. Basically, if you’re feeling the pieces coming your way, you might want to go for it before they’re gone for the season.

I’ve always had a lot of energy, especially when I was a baby. In my youth, I would bounce throughout the house with so much fury that my mom was desperate to find a place where I could get all of that energy out, so we headed to the mall. She would mall-walk and push me in a stroller for hours every week. My mom recounts this as the start of my love for shopping. I feel the ultimate sense of nostalgia when we shop together.
I just spent some time at home for the holidays, and per usual, we headed to the mall. I’m always trying to overhaul her wardrobe and convince her to try everything that I’m seeing on the streets of New York. We got overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of late Christmas shoppers, so online shopping it was. We disagree on a lot of the controversial fashion trends, but after a lot of scrolling, we found 29 items that we actually agree upon.
The color red is our love language.
We’re both here for the belt.
My mom loves elevated sneakers, and so do I.
I have a coat just like this, and my mom wants one for herself.
I’m trying to sell my mom on quirky jewelry.

I’m always borrowing from my mom’s designer-bag collection, and I’m hoping she buys this one next.
We’d both wear this to dinner.
She loves a good pair of skinny pants, so I am steering her in this direction.
This sweater reminds me of something I saw at Khaite. I need it.
My mom has a fabulous drawer of scarves, and I like to add to it when I’m shopping for her.
She’s always borrowing my shearling jackets.
We both deal with snow in the winter, and these boots would be a big help.
The fact that this is under $100 is beyond me.
We both love lounging in cozy tanks.
When I’m home, I love hopping on my mom’s Peloton, and we’d both wear shorts like this for a fun ride.
I’m easing her into wide-leg pants, and this pair has me captivated.
Jeans that are just outside of her comfort zone but are extremely comfortable.
We’d both wear this on a Zoom call.
A good belt takes any look to the next level.
My mom actually introduced me to Rails when I was young, and we both love the brand.
Uggs bonded us during my teenage years, and I’m convincing my mom to try the short pairs.
We both always can agree when it comes to staple tees.
Stuart Weitzman is one of her favorite investment brands.
Being from Michigan, we live for a good coat.
She recently saw me wear the long-denim-skirt trend and expressed interest.
Leather gloves are the ultimate winter luxury.
The inner French girl in both of us loves a striped sweater.
I recently wore something like this, and my mom asked me where I got it from immediately.
Nordstrom is one of my go-to stores. You too? Wonderful. You’re going to be quite intrigued by the info coming your way. While there is always a covetable offering of investment pieces and designer items at Nordys, it’s the consistent assortment of standout items under $100 that routinely pique my interest. And yes, that’s exactly what you’ll find below.
I vetted Nordstrom’s new arrivals to bring you an edit of affordable items that look quite expensive. To note, there’s quite a variety of items included in the mix. Need a beautiful sweater to refresh your offering? You’ll find several. What about sleek tailoring finds and chic dresses? Yep, I got you. Keep scrolling to check out the best under-$100 items at Nordstrom right now.
New year, new me. Or at least that’s what I tell myself as I spend the first few days of the year scrolling endlessly to figure out what my personality will be for 2023. Although I have my aesthetic nailed down (barely, if we’re being honest!), I can’t resist browsing the Nordstrom new arrivals at the start of each month for hours on end.
Now that New Year’s Eve has come and gone, all eyes are on what’s “in” and “out” in 2023—aside from the viral social media lists everyone was posting on the last day of the year. While I’m a sucker for trends, elevated basics will always be my first love, and thankfully, the Nordstrom new-arrivals section is full of affordable finds with timeless, elegant picks. Plus, with a lower price tag comes the ability to try out new styles, trends, and pieces to incorporate into your wardrobe in 2023. It’s a win-win scenario all around.
Below, shop all of Nordstrom’s can’t-miss new arrivals to kick off 2023.
We’re reaching the point of the season where your outfit’s only as good as your outerwear. Whether you’re going out to pick up coffee, walk the dog or meet friends for dinner, your coat is going to be the most visible part of your outfit, so it better be cute. Also important: how warm it’ll keep you.
In the depths of January going into the February chill, we recommend reaching for longer hemlines to make sure you’re getting the coverage you need. Ahead, shop the long coat styles that’ll get you through the coldest months, from hefty puffers to cozy fuzzy toppers to layerable shackets.

I have always been one of those people who love perfumes and fragrances. Oftentimes when we’re talking about the cherry on top of an outfit, people think of shoes or a great pair of sunglasses, which are important parts of an outfit, don’t get me wrong, but the real cherry on top is a great fragrance. Your scent says just as much about you as your outfit choice does. I love fragrance so much I bring a travel size perfume in my purse with me everywhere I go. I’m a believer in mixing perfumes too. Certain brands, such as Jo Malone London, are designed to be mixed and matched with their entire collection of scents. I personally love the combination of Wood Sage & Sea Salt mixed with English Pear & Freesia. I’m currently wearing a mix of Rose 31 from Le Labo and Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming. They balance each other out so well, with the Le Labo perfume being a little smoky and masculine and the Dior being light and sweet.
Certain fragrances gain the attention of fragrance lovers and become cult favorites. Some that come to mind are Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s Baccarat Rouge or Le Labo’s Santal 33. Now whenever I hear about a new fragrance everyone can’t get enough of, I have to be the judge myself. I have high standards when it comes to perfume, and I need to really love a scent to spend the money on it, especially considering great fragrances aren’t usually cheap.
For me to invest in the right fragrance, it has to check four main boxes. It has to last a long time (for me, that’s at least five to six months), it has to be sweet but not overwhelmingly so that you would mistake me for a high school cheer captain, it has to be a little woodsy or smoky but not so that you’d mistake me for someone’s grandfather, and it has to have character and personality. I rounded up 30 fragrances that I’ve tried and believe are worth the hype and have earned the title of “cult-favorite fragrance,” including all of my current favorites that sit on my vanity while I write this.
Keep scrolling to see which fragrances made the cut.
