Total-Steal Alert: 32 Pairs of Shoes to Snag ASAP From Nordstrom’s Winter Sale

Shoe and sale are two of my favorite words, and when used together they’re even better. As a former accessories editor and the guilty owner of a robust shoe closet, I naturally jumped right to footwear in Nordstrom’s winter sale. And I did not leave disappointed (or empty-handed).

With spring and summer shopping on the minds of so many currently bundled optimistic shoppers, the on-sale boots are so good. From stiletto ankle boots to slouchy suede boots, you’re guaranteed to find what you’re looking for (at a discount). Beyond boots, there is a plentiful offering of classic sneakers, bold heels, and trendy flats

I’ve done a deep dive into the absolute best footwear the sale has to offer for your shopping enjoyment. Keep scrolling for shoephoria.

On that note, Hayes recently shared a list of staples she thinks will be most popular in 2023. Up next, we thought there could be interest in learning about the best items she thinks are worth checking out at Nordstrom’s winter sale

The current sale is quite epic, featuring a smattering of fantastic, seriously discounted pieces. But according to Hayes, there are eight general categories we should shop first because there’s an amazing assortment of deals in each.

The Final Markdowns From Nordstrom’s Designer Sale Are Here—24 Items to Shop RN

    [ad_1]

We’ve reached the final stretch of sale season, when the very best deals arrive on items that almost never get marked down. Early on, you’re not going to run into a lot of trouble scouring for discounted fast-fashion items. You won’t, however, see a bevy of Miu Miu, Prada, and Bottega Veneta at discounts up to 60%. Those kinds of prices are for the patient and the patient only. But if you were able to hold off on shopping at the beginning of the markdown period, now’s the time to reap the rewards.

As we speak at Nordstrom, the final reductions have been made to the retailer’s selection of on-sale designer items, with all of the above labels as well as Moncler, Burberry, and more currently priced far below their normal retail value. But if I know anything about designer sales, especially ones as good as this one, their contents don’t sit around for long. Below, shop what’s left of Nordstrom’s designer sale.

Specifically, I wanted to call out pieces I’m loving and that also happen to be front-runners for other Nordstrom shoppers

A Nordstrom Stylist Replaced My Outdated Clothes With These 5 Easy Items

    [ad_1]

I consider Nordstrom to be one of my go-to stores. While I routinely shop the retailer online and browse the site on a daily basis as I’m doing market research for my various stories, I also like to visit the brick-and-mortar store when I’m near one. Recently, I did just that when I visited Chicago. But I didn’t simply browse the racks. I actually had the opportunity to work one-on-one with one of the brand’s in-house stylists.

That’s right. I spent the morning with Lauren Meek (pictured above) as she pulled items she thought would work for me. And given that I’m always interested in learning how others define what’s “in and out,” I had Meek swap in pieces she thinks could replace some of the outdated items in my closet. Of course, though, I always note that styling choices are personal, and you should always wear whatever you absolutely love.

With all that in mind, keep scrolling for a deeper dive into what a Nordstrom stylist added into my offering. The pieces coming your way are all unique, but they all share a similarity, in that they’re simple and easy to style. If any of the product categories catch your eye, I also went through Nordstrom’s offering online to shop out inspired womenswear products that could be of interest to you.

  • 41 Nordstrom, Zara, and H&M Items That Look Like Luxury (Without the Price Tag)

41 Nordstrom, Zara, and H&M Items That Look Like Luxury (Without the Price Tag)

    [ad_1]

The days of layering on as many fashion items as you possibly can in the name of maximalism are officially over. Instead, I’ve been noticing a slow but significant shift toward a quieter, more luxurious method of dressing. Think soft, neutral-colored sweaters; exquisite tailoring; pretty, timeless dresses; and accessories you’ll own and cherish forever. The only downfall is that with simpler, higher-quality pieces, the prices also tend to rise.

That’s where I come in. Rather than diving head first into this inherently expensive trend without any sort of budget, I’m suggesting the 41 items from Zara, Nordstrom, and H&M that are listed out below. Not only are they all $150 or less, making them far easier to justify during the approaching tax season, but they also look shockingly pricey, easily giving you the quiet-luxury look without the strain on your wallet.

Keep scrolling to shop the anti-maximalism trend that’s taking over fashion ATM on a $150 budget at Nordstrom, Zara, and H&M.

Nordstrom, H&M, and Mango Have the Best Plus-Size Basics—38 in My Cart

    [ad_1]

When it comes to shopping for plus-size basics, it’s never been easier than now. Over the last few years, more and more fashion-forward retailers have expanded their size ranges after listening to consumers’ frustrations with a lack of size diversity. Cute plus-size clothing either used to be impossible to track down or just plain nonexistent back in the day, but brands like Mango and H&M have been ramping up their game, competing for a piece of the plus-size market share pie with multi-brand retailers like Nordstrom. The result? More and more chic and affordable clothing that everyone can try and buy.

Basics are the foundation of every closet, and now that plus-size elevated basics are commonplace, there’s plenty to choose from. Just like straight-size clothing, plus-size elevated basics are meant to go with everything and anything in your wardrobe. Scroll below to discover some of the best plus-size basics I’m shopping now as a fashion editor, from straight-leg denim that pairs well with any blouse to perfectly slouchy blazers à la Hailey Bieber.

My Aunt is 54 and Works in Fashion—I Ran to Tell Her About These Nordstrom Finds

    [ad_1]

My aunt has always been one of my biggest style inspirations form day one. She’s always worked in fashion and has such a knack for styling that everyone in our family turns to her for advice on what to buy and how to wear it. So yes, the “cool aunt” stereotype definitely applies here and now, she’s heading up a beloved local boutique called Knuth’s where everyone else can benefit from impeccable taste, too.

There’s really no question that she was one of the first people to pique my interest in pursuing a fashion career and now that we both do, I’m constantly texting her about everything from the shoes I’m buying and the coolest trends to know to the brands we’re both into. What can I say? Shopping is my love language and right now, these 29 Nordstrom finds are speaking it fluently. I love these finds and guarantee they’ll be up to my aunt’s high standard, too, so instead of keeping them to myself, I’m dishing on all the coolest finds that I ran to text her about.

I’m In My 20’s and My Mom Is In Her 50’s—30 Nordstrom Items We’re Both Buying RN

    [ad_1]

It would be the understatement of the ear to say that my mom and I don’t exactly have the same sense of style. She’s a lot more laid back than I am, she loves her maxi skirts and a great pair of yoga pants (I mean, who doesn’t) while my style is a little more over the top, and a lot more New York City if you know what I mean. While we don’t have the exact same sense of style we do have a similar love for shopping. When I was growing up, every weekend my mom, sisters and I would take day trips to the mall to shop and have lunch together, where we bonded over our love for a great deal and talked about the clothes in the stores we couldn’t wait to wear over Starbucks. It was the best, and we would always spend the most of our time in Nordstrom. I have always been a Nordstrom lover, I even worked there as a digital stylist for a few years. Every shopping trip with my mom would usually end with a long Nordstrom receipt of home, fashion, and beauty items the two of us equally loved.

Lately, Nordstrom has been killing it with great new arrivals that my mom and I both have sitting in our carts. Keep scrolling to see what Nordstrom items made the cut.

My 59-Year-Old Mom Has $200 to Spend at Nordstrom—34 Items I’d Buy If I Were Her

    [ad_1]

If you ask me whether or not to buy someone a gift card as a present, I’ll tell you that it’s impersonal and a bit of a yawn 90% of the time. The only time I praise them is when the recipient is anything like my mother, who almost never buys anything indulgent for herself and therefore needs the incentive to go out and splurge on something that’s just for her.

That is why I was thrilled to find out that she’d been gifted with a $200 gift card to Nordstrom aka our department store. (Everyone has one that holds an extra-special place in their hearts.) I’m aware that she knows her way around Nordstrom just as well as I do from years of experience, but given how little time she spends shopping anymore, I took it upon myself to scour the entire contents of the store (no really, I did) to help her get busy spending it. Below, find 34 under-$200 items that I’d pick if I were my gift card–holding 59-year-old mom.

I Just Found the Staples French Girls Never Toss Hiding at Nordstrom

    [ad_1]

If you’re a fan of simple and effortless French-girl style, then you’ve come to the right place. As someone who studies French style like it’s my job (well, it sort of is), I’m acutely aware of what they’re wearing this season and beyond. And as any good Francophile knows, their style is pretty seasonless. In other words, French people tend to be very picky with their wardrobe—they rely on a curated list of wardrobe staples and tend to wear them on repeat with various outfit combinations. It also means that they don’t cycle through their clothes as frequently.

Because of this observation, I’m pretty confident in stating that the French won’t ever toss certain staples. Things like blazers, vintage-inspired denim, and ballet flats are all on this list and—surprise—I found all of them on for you today. On a recent visit to an American standby, Nordstrom, I came across a trove of French-inspired wardrobe staples and they were too good not to share.

Behold—the ultimate Nordstrom shopping list if easy, effortless, and classic French style is what you’re after. Look no further than the below 29 items.

Nordstrom Dropped a Sale And I Scanned Through The Whole Thing—These Buys Are It

    [ad_1]

At this point, whenever Nordstrom drops a sale it’s virtually a holiday. It’s not uncommon to catch the final drip of end-of-season sales around this time in January, but few rival Nordstrom’s expansive selection of epic markdowns. So when the retailer launched a semi-sale a few days ago, I stopped everything to see what was up. And scan every corner I did—precisely 400 plus pages of boots, dresses, denim, sweaters and more.

Many tired eyes and fatigued fingers later (because I’m just that dedicated), I found the most compelling fashion buys of the bunch. It’s great news if a wardrobe refresh or trend experiment is on the seasonal agenda—there were so many great designer discounts included in the sale like Prada and The Row for 60% off. But if your budget calls for staples that are more affordable, of course, there’s plenty of that too. Ahead, keep scrolling to shop the deals that trump the rest.
