Who Won ‘The Traitors’ Season 4? See the Winner of the 2026 Season
[ad_1]
Image Credit: Euan Cherry/Peacock After weeks of deception, shifting alliances and shocking banishments inside the Scottish Highlands castle, The Traitors Season 4 narrowed down to its final five: Rob Rausch, Maura Higgins, Eric Nam, Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski. With trust hanging by a thread and the prize pot on the line, the remaining contestants faced one last roundtable that would determine who was faithful — and who had been deceiving them all along. The Feb. 26, 2026 finale delivered a dramatic end to the season. Here’s everything to know about the Season 4 winner and the high-stakes conclusion.
How Can I Watch The Traitors Season 4 Finale?
The Traitors Season 4 finale—along with the reunion and full season—is available to stream exclusively on Peacock in the United States. New episodes of the series typically dropped on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT throughout the season, with the finale airing on Feb. 26, 2026. Viewers can watch the entire season with a Peacock Premium or Premium Plus subscription.
Who Won The Traitors Season 4?
Rob won The Traitors Season 4, taking home the entire $220,800 prize pot in the Feb. 26, 2026 finale. The season came down to a dramatic final two moment between Rob and Maura after the last banishment left them alone at the firepit. With the power to end the game or banish again, the pair chose to conclude the competition—prompting the final role reveal. That’s when Rob confessed the truth. “I am and I always have been a Traitor,” he told Maura. “I am so sorry, I am a Traitor. I’m serious.”

THE TRAITORS — “Leap of Faith” Episode 411 — Pictured: (l-r) Alan Cumming, Rob Rausch — (Photo by: Euan Cherry/Peacock) At the beginning of the season, he was secretly chosen as a Traitor alongside Candiace Dillard Bassett and Lisa Rinna, giving him early control of the game’s direction. As eliminations unfolded, Rob carefully maintained his cover while shaping alliances and steering suspicion elsewhere. He later brought Eric Nam into the Traitors’ ranks.
How Much Money Does the Winner of The Traitors Get?
The prize money on The Traitors depends on how much the cast earns during missions throughout the season. In Season 1, Cirie Fields won the full $250,000 prize pot. Season 2 winners Chris “C.T.” Tamburello and Trishelle Cannatella split $208,100. In Season 3, Dolores Catania, Dylan Efron, Gabby Windey and Lord Ivar Mountbatten divided a $204,300 prize pot.
For Season 4, Rob claimed the entire $220,800 pot on his own.

New Ring Camera Footage From the Night Nancy Guthrie Disappeared Could Provide Clues – InTouch Weekly | In Touch Weekly
[ad_1]
As Nancy Guthrie’s whereabouts remain unknown, more Ring camera video footage from the night she was seemingly abducted has been released.
Fox News Digital obtained a new video published Thursday, February 26, from neighbors who live around 2.5 miles from Savannah Guthrie’s mother’s home in Arizona.
The recordings — taken between midnight and 6 a.m. on February 1, with some activity around 2:30 a.m., when the 84-year-old’s pacemaker device reportedly last synced with her iPhone — show cars driving by.
Retired NYPD detective and national security expert Pat Brosnan told Fox that he and his team believe the vehicle seen at the 2:36 a.m. mark is a Kia Soul.
Pima County Sheriff’s Department The Pima County Sheriff’s Office told Fox News and NBC News that they are aware of the footage, but it is not immediately clear if they are using it in the ongoing investigation. NBC reported, via an FBI source, that authorities have amassed 5,000 to 10,000 hours of footage that they are currently combing through.
Elias and Danielle Stratigouleas, who shared the latest video footage with Fox, told the news organization that police had not canvassed their neighborhood in the 25 days since Nancy was believed to be abducted.
The sheriff’s office previously requested Ring camera footage from homes within a two-mile radius, and Stratigouleas’ home is outside of that radius.
The Today anchor, 54, recently announced that her family is now offering a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to the recovery of Nancy, whom she acknowledged may be dead. (The FBI is offering $100,000 for information leading to the location of Nancy “and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.”)
Though the ongoing search has thus far yielded zero suspects in the case, Savannah noted, “Someone out there knows something that can bring her home. Somebody knows, and we are begging you to please come forward now.”

Instagram/savannahguthrie Nancy was reported missing on February 1 by family members. Previous video footage released by authorities show a masked and “armed individual” appearing to tamper with the camera at Nancy’s front door the morning of her disappearance. She is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds; she has brown hair and blue eyes.
People with any information regarding the case are asked to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324). You may also contact your local FBI office, the nearest American Embassy or Consulate, or you can submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov.

WSOP Circuit to Run Alongside 2026 World Series of Poker July 14–25 in Las Vegas
[ad_1]
For the first time, a full World Series of Poker Circuit stop will run in Las Vegas alongside the summer edition of the World Series of Poker, extending the action at Horseshoe Las Vegas beyond the traditional bracelet schedule.
The Circuit series is set for July 14 through July 25, 2026, overlapping with the final days of the 100-event WSOP bracelet festival, which runs May 26 through July 15 at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas.
While the summer bracelet schedule already includes Event #16, the $1,700 No-Limit Hold’em U.S. WSOP Circuit Championship, the newly added July 14–25 series will consist of traditional Circuit ring events.
WSOP Circuit Meets the Summer Series
The WSOP Circuit has long been a staple of the poker calendar, hosting stops across the United States and internationally with tournaments awarding gold rings instead of bracelets. Each stop typically features a mix of mid-stakes and high-roller events anchored by a Main Event.
Las Vegas is no stranger to Circuit action throughout the year, but positioning a full Circuit stop directly at the conclusion of the World Series marks a notable scheduling shift. The move creates nearly two straight months of WSOP-branded tournament poker in the city, giving players who travel in for the summer even more reasons to stay.
Key Events and Dates on the July Schedule
The Circuit stop opens July 14 with a $400 No-Limit Hold’em Mini Main Event featuring multiple starting flights. The series continues with a steady mix of No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha and mixed-game tournaments, including TORSE.
A $1,125 No-Limit Hold’em event takes center stage July 19, followed by a $2,200 High Roller on July 20. The $1,700 WSOP Circuit Main Event begins July 21 with multiple Day 1 flights on July 21 and 22 before playing down to a champion later in the week.
The latter half of the series includes a $3,300 High Roller on July 23 and a $5,000 High Roller on July 24, with the final ring events wrapping up July 25.
Full Schedule
A Longer Summer in Las Vegas
With 100 bracelet events concluding July 15 and a full Circuit schedule immediately following, the 2026 WSOP will offer one of the longest continuous stretches of tournament poker in Las Vegas history.
For players chasing bracelets or rings, the summer grind just got longer.

From the ‘Say No to Suno’ campaign to GoldState securing ‘significant’ investment from Bridgepoint… it’s MBW’s weekly round-up – Music Business Worldwide
[ad_1]
Welcome to Music Business Worldwide’s Weekly Round-up – where we make sure you caught the five biggest stories to hit our headlines over the past seven days. MBW’s Round-up is exclusively supported by BMI, a global leader in performing rights management, dedicated to supporting songwriters, composers and publishers and championing the value of music.
This week, a coalition of artist representatives published an open letter titled ‘Say No to Suno,’ calling on the music community to reject the AI music generator.
In other Suno news, the company’s CEO and co-founder Mikey Shulman revealed that the firm has reached 2 million paid subscribers and $300 million in annual recurring revenue.
Also this week, GoldState Music, the investment firm founded by music industry veteran Charles Goldstuck, confirmed it has entered a strategic partnership with Bridgepoint Group, the London-listed mid-market investor.
Meanwhile, news broke this week that Primary Wave is in advanced talks to potentially acquire Kobalt Music Group.
Elsewhere, it was revealed that Grammy-winning rap duo Salt-N-Pepa have filed a notice of appeal against the dismissal of their lawsuit against Universal Music Group over the copyrights to their master recordings.
Here are some of the biggest headlines from the past few days…
1. ARTIST REPRESENTATIVES LAUNCH ‘SAY NO TO SUNO’ CAMPAIGN: ‘AI SLOP DILUTES THE ROYALTY POOLS OF LEGITIMATE ARTISTS FROM WHOSE MUSIC THIS SLOP IS DERIVED.’
A coalition of artist representatives has published an open letter calling on the music community to reject AI music generator Suno.
In an open letter titled ‘Say No to Suno’, the artist reps described the company as a “brazen smash and grab” platform, accusing it of using “unauthorized AI platform machinery trained on human artists’ work”.
Published Monday (February 23) on the Music Technology Policy blog, the letter was signed by figures including Ron Gubitz, Executive Director of the Music Artist Coalition; Helienne Lindvall, songwriter and President of the European Composer and Songwriter Alliance; and Chris Castle of the Artist Rights Institute.
Other signatories included artist David C. Lowery; artist and Artist Rights Alliance board member Tift Merritt; Blake Morgan, artist, producer, and President of ECR Music Group; and Abby North, President of North Music Group… (MBW)
2. SUNO: WE’VE HIT 2M PAID SUBSCRIBERS AND $300M ANNUAL REVENUE
AI music generator Suno has reached 2 million paid subscribers and $300 million in annual recurring revenue.
That’s according to CEO and co-founder Mikey Shulman, who shared the figures in a LinkedIn post on Wednesday (February 25), two years after the platform’s launch.
He also noted that over 100 million people have now used Suno.
“We launched Suno 2 years ago to let the world feel the joy of making music,” Shulman wrote. “Since then, over 100M people all over the world have used Suno, from music lovers to Grammy winners.”
The $300 million ARR figure represents a significant jump from the $200 million in annual revenue previously reported by The Wall Street Journal in November, when Suno closed a $250 million Series C funding round at a $2.45 billion post-money valuation… (MBW)
3. CHARLES GOLDSTUCK’S GOLDSTATE SECURES ‘SIGNIFICANT’ BRIDGEPOINT INVESTMENT FOR GROWTH EQUITY FUND TARGETING MUSIC COMPANIES
GoldState Music, the investment firm founded by music industry veteran Charles Goldstuck, has entered a strategic partnership with Bridgepoint Group, the London-listed mid-market investor.
Under the deal, announced on Thursday (February 26), Bridgepoint has committed what the two parties describe as “a significant investment” as lead investor in GoldState’s Growth Strategy – a dedicated fund focused on building and scaling music-oriented businesses globally.
The partnership marks a notable evolution for GoldState.
The company’s two previous fundraises – a partnership with private equity firm Flexpoint Ford in late 2023, and a USD $500 million raise co-led by Northleaf Capital Partners and Ares Management last April – were focused primarily on the acquisition of music rights, including catalogs, master recordings, and publishing assets… (MBW)
4. PRIMARY WAVE IN TALKS TO POTENTIALLY ACQUIRE KOBALT MUSIC GROUP
Primary Wave is in advanced talks to potentially acquire Kobalt Music Group.
MBW understands that Larry Mestel-led Primary Wave is among a number of potential suitors who have been in discussions with Kobalt’s majority owner, private equity firm Francisco Partners (FP), in recent months.
The latest intel is that Primary Wave now stands alone as a would-be buyer trying to agree on a sale price with Francisco.
For FP, a sale of Kobalt at this stage would be surprisingly early compared to a more typical private equity time horizon of holding an asset for 5-7 years before cashing out… (MBW)
5. SALT-N-PEPA FILE NOTICE OF APPEAL OVER UMG LAWSUIT DISMISSAL, WITH ‘BLURRED LINES’ LAWYER AS COUNSEL
Grammy-winning rap duo Salt-N-Pepa have filed a notice of appeal against the dismissal of their lawsuit against Universal Music Group over the copyrights to their master recordings.
The notice, filed on February 4 and docketed in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on February 5, challenges the January 8 ruling by District Judge Denise Cote that dismissed both of the duo’s claims against Universal.
A judge ruled in January that the artists never owned the copyrights to their sound recordings and therefore cannot reclaim them.
The filing, obtained by MBW, also appears to reveal that Salt-N-Pepa (Cheryl James and Sandra Denton) have added prominent music industry lawyer Richard S. Busch of Nashville-based King & Ballow to their legal team… (MBW)
Partner message: MBW’s Weekly Round-up is supported by BMI, the global leader in performing rights management, dedicated to supporting songwriters, composers and publishers and championing the value of music. Find out more about BMI here. Music Business Worldwide

Dirty Hobbit Feet Weren’t My Fault!!!

UpdatedABC
Benny Blanco is well aware his feet have gone viral after a recent podcast taping showed his bare tootsies were absolutely filthy … but he says he’s really not the Peanuts’ Pig-Pen.
The record producer dropped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Thursday, along with Lil Dicky, to talk about their new “Friends Keep Secrets” podcast … which is already a hit thanks to BB’s filthy bare feet on the pilot episode.
Benny defended his dogs … saying Dicky’s floors were dirty, and that’s the reason why his feet were so nasty. He then took off a boot and his sock to show Jimmy, and viewers, his feet are pretty clean.
Of course, it wasn’t just haters coming at Benny … others suggested he could make some decent dough if he posted snaps of his dirty feet and sold them on fetish websites … something Kimmel also brought up.
Friends Keep Secrets
It makes sense … after the podcast moment went viral, his feet made it onto wikiFeet — a website where all lovers of the foot can gather to rate feet … Benny has an overall score of 3/5.

Grey’s Anatomy Pays Tribute to Eric Dane in Wake of Tragic Death
[ad_1]
Reading Time: 3 minutes
One week after Eric Dane died from complications related to his years-long battle with ALS, the show that made him famous paid homage to the actor.
At the conclusion of Thursday night’s Grey’s Anatomy episode, ABC aired a 60-second tribute to Dane — who portrayed Dr. Mark Sloan on the medical drama.
Set to Tommee Profitt and Fleurie’s cover of Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars,” which was also used in an emotional montage for the show’s milestone 400th episode in 2022, the video included a collection of some of Sloan’s most memorable moments and one-liners.

(ABC) The montage featured such scenes as Mark dubbing himself and Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) the “Plastics Posse,” his friendship with Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) and the moment he walked her down the aisle, as well as his love story with Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh).
The was highlighted by Mark’s most beloved line:
If you love someone, tell them. Even if you’re scared that it’s not the right thing. Even if you’re scared that it’ll cause problems. Even if you’re scared it’ll burn your life to the ground, you say it. You say it loud and you go from there.
As you can see below, closing words of the tribute read, “In loving memory of Eric Dane. 1972 – 2026.”

(ABC) In the wake of Dane’s passing, his former Grey’s Anatomy colleagues took to social media in droves to remember the star.
In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter on behalf of her production company, for example, series creator Shonda Rhimes cited Dane as “a gifted actor whose portrayal of Dr. Mark Sloan left an indelible mark on the series and on audiences around the world.”
“We are grateful for the artistry, spirit, friendship and humanity he shared with us for so many years,” Rhimes continued. “Our hearts are with his family, loved ones, and all who were touched by his work.”
Elsewhere, Patrick Dempsey said he had been in touch with Dane about a week before his death.

Eric Dane attends the “Countdown” Premiere and After-Party on June 18, 2025. (Photo Credit: Frazer Harrison/Getty Images for Prime Video) “I was corresponding with him, we were texting, so I spoke to him about a week ago and some friends of ours went in to see him, and he was really starting to lose his ability to speak. He was bedridden and it was very hard for him to swallow, so the quality of his life was deteriorating so rapidly,” Dempsey told The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Virgin Radio UK.
Added Dempsey:
“He was the funniest man — he was such a joy to work with, and I want to just remember him in that spirit because any time he was on set, he brought so much fun to it.
“He had a great sense of humor. He was easy to work with, we got along instantly.
“First scene was him, you know, in all his glory, coming out of the bathroom with the towel on looking amazing, making you feel completely out of shape and insignificant. We hit it off because it was never really any competition.
“There was just this wonderful mutual respect, he’s wickedly intelligent and I’m always going to remember those moments of fun that we had together and celebrate the joy that he did bring to people’s lives.”

LAMB OF GOD Revisit Their Richmond Roots On Pummeling New Single “Blunt Force Blues” – Metal Injection
[ad_1]
As they prepare to unleash Into Oblivion on March 13, Lamb of God are taking a long look in the rearview mirror. Their latest single, “Blunt Force Blues,” out now, trades spectacle for self-examination – a bruising love letter to the Richmond, VA scene that forged them.
Arriving as the final preview of the forthcoming album (due via Epic Records), “Blunt Force Blues” reframes the band’s origin story as one born from community. Frontman Randy Blythe recalls a time when ambition meant keeping pace with peers, not chasing industry trends.
“We learned how to play by watching and hanging out with other local dudes,” Blythe says. “That’s what we aspired to do – keep up with good local bands. They were just as much of an influence on us as any of the bigger bands from different cities.”
For guitarist Mark Morton, the perspective shift is the point: “For me, the album is about having the space to breathe creatively and not feeling like we have to keep up with any trend or expectation,” Morton explains.
“It feels nice to be untethered from any agenda beyond rallying around the notion of, ‘Let’s just make music that we think is cool,’ which is really where it all started.”
That sense of creative autonomy courses through Into Oblivion, an album shaped as much by reflection as by force. Produced and mixed by longtime collaborator Josh Wilbur, the project was assembled across spaces deeply tied to the band’s DNA. Drums were tracked in their hometown of Richmond, while guitars and bass were cut at Morton’s home studio. Blythe laid down vocals at Total Access Recording in Redondo Beach, CA.
To mark the album’s arrival, Lamb of God have lined up more than 140 independent record stores across the U.S. for a nationwide listening party series running March 13-15. Fans can expect exclusive merch, free swag (while supplies last), prize giveaways and an indie-exclusive, limited-edition “Poltergeist” vinyl variant of the album. A full list of participating shops is available via the band’s social channels.
Pre-orders for Into Oblivion are live now, including limited vinyl pressings and a collectible CD edition bundled with a companion zine packed with album art sketches, handwritten lyrics and previously unseen studio photos.
Lamb of God is set to return to the road this March for what promises to be the heaviest tour of 2026, with the North American trek featuring support from Kublai Khan TX, Fit For An Autopsy, and Sanguisugabogg. Get those dates below and get your tickets here.
“We are beyond thrilled to announce the loudest, proudest, floor shakin’-est, earth quakin’-est, ear-splittin’-est, mosh pittin’-est, undiluted, undisputed HEAVIEST tour of the whole damn year,” said Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton. “Is this the largest collection of RIFFS ever assembled under one roof? It would seem so. Lamb of God, Kublai Khan TX, Fit For An Autopsy, and Sanguisugabogg. Do not miss this shit.”

Deon Cole returns to host NAACP Image Awards, says BAFTA disruption will be addressed
[ad_1]
LOS ANGELES — As Deon Cole returns to host the NAACP Image Awards, the comedian-actor is focused on celebrating Black achievement and responding to a recent onstage disruption at the British Academy Film Awards.
Cole called the incident “terrible” and said the matter would be addressed at the 57th NAACP Image Awards on Saturday, airing live across multiple Paramount networks including BET and CBS. The disruption occurred Sunday when a racial slur was shouted from the audience by Tourette syndrome advocate John Davidson while “Sinners” starsMichael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo were presenting during a ceremony that had been prerecorded earlier in the day.
The NAACP Image Awards honor achievements in entertainment, culture and public service. This year’s ceremony will include tributes to Viola Davis, who will receive the Chairman’s Award, and Colman Domingo, who will be presented with the President’s Award.
Known for his roles on the sitcoms “black-ish” and “The Neighborhood,” as well as his stand-up comedy, Cole told The Associated Press that he is preparing for both celebration and the unpredictability of live television. Responses have been edited for clarity and brevity.
COLE: Just amping up the ante, man. Last year was phenomenal. We had a great time. And anything you do, you always go, “Man, what if we could have did this? We should do this and do that.” And so, this year we gonna do that. We just gonna go there, and just make it fun, make it exciting, spontaneous. It’s going to be a good look.
COLE: It’s just about balance. It’s almost like cooking. You know how much seasoning to put in there. You know how long to let it cook. It’s the same thing when it comes to comedy, putting the right amount of seasoning in and knowing the right temperature and letting it cook for the right amount of time, and then knowing when to pull it back. I’m glad that they trust me to steer that ship.
COLE: It happened last year. Kerry Washington went way off script, but it was so great, and it was fun. You can’t have these huge moments and expect people to really stick to the script. They’re gonna act the way that they’re gonna act. So it’s good to see that… My comedic mind is always like, “How do I piggyback on this? How do we make it even funnier, up the ante on it?”
COLE: It was terrible. I felt like it was terrible. They never really gave an apology. An official apology straight to our brothers. So, tune into the award show. We’re gonna deal with that. We’re gonna touch on that.
COLE: We live in discomfort. That’s our job to make something uncomfortable comfortable, make you look at it a certain way, make you think of it a certain way. Every comic that’s on stage is talking about something that’s discomfort at some kind of level and trying to bring some normalcy to it. We live in that. We don’t live in everything’s amazing.
COLE: Viola is from another planet. We are blessed to have her. We don’t know what planet she’s from, but she’s from another planet. She is one of the most powerful actors we have in this game ever. Giving her flowers is everything. She’s winning. She’s so incredible. Colman Domingo is my brother. I’ve worked with him on several projects, and we have a brotherhood. I am so happy that my brother is getting his just due, getting his flowers and everything. He deserves it, and he has so much to offer. I just can’t wait for that moment.
COLE: It means a lot. It shows the versatility that one has. Being on television with certain TV shows, having success with at least four sitcoms that are still in syndication, I guess people know that I can handle network funny. It’s different than stand-up funny. It’s a whole different ball game. There’s no coincidence that Steve Harvey can do what he does on “Family Feud,” and then he can go over here and destroy a room if he wants to. It’s two different funnies. So for people to trust me to handle it, I appreciate it. I guess it shows that we can do it all.

Is Red Light Therapy Bad for Your Eyes? Eye Safety Facts
[ad_1]
Introduction: Why Eye Safety is Important
Our eyes are one of the most vital and delicate organs in our bodies. They allow us to see and perceive the world around us, making them a crucial part of our daily lives. However, with the rise of modern technology and artificial lighting, we have come into contact with various forms of light that may have an impact on our eye health. One such form is red light.
What Exactly is Red Light and How Does It Affect Our Eyes?
Red light is part of the visible spectrum of electromagnetic radiation emitted by the sun and many artificial sources such as LED lights, fluorescent lights, and digital screens. It has a longer wavelength compared to other types of visible light, such as blue or green light. This longer wavelength gives off a warm glow and makes objects appear reddish in color.
How Does It Affect Our Eyes?
Is red light bad for your eyes? One way red light can affect our eyes is through its impact on sleep patterns. Exposure to bright or intense red light before bedtime can delay melatonin production, which affects our ability to fall asleep easily. This could lead to disrupted sleep cycles and potential long-term consequences on overall health.
Moreover, some studies suggest that prolonged exposure to high levels of red light may damage retinal cells over time. These cells are responsible for converting incoming visual information into electrical signals that are sent to the brain for processing. When damaged, they may not function properly, resulting in vision problems.
On the other hand, there are claims that certain wavelengths within the red spectrum may have therapeutic effects on certain eye conditions, such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD) or diabetic retinopathy.
Exploring the Harmful Effects of Blue Light on Our Eyes and How It Relates to Red Light
In today’s digital age, we are constantly exposed to artificial sources of blue light, such as screens from our electronic devices. While blue light is a natural part of sunlight and plays an important role in regulating our circadian rhythm, prolonged exposure to blue light from artificial sources can have harmful effects on our eyes.
Studies have shown that blue light can cause eye strain, fatigue, headaches, and even disrupt sleep patterns. Prolonged exposure to blue light may also increase the risk of developing age-related macular degeneration, a condition that can lead to permanent vision loss.
Interestingly, red light has been found to have the opposite effect on our eyes. Unlike blue light, which has short wavelengths and high energy levels, red light has longer wavelengths and lower energy levels. This makes it less harmful to our eyes compared to blue light.
Addressing Common Misconceptions About Red Light and Its Impact on Eye Health
There is a common misconception that all types of red light are bad for our eyes. However, this is not entirely true. The harmful effects of red light depend on its wavelength and duration of exposure.
For example, studies have shown that shorter wavelengths of red light (around 600-640 nm) can actually improve visual acuity by stimulating cell growth in the retina. On the other hand, longer wavelengths (around 670-700 nm) are more damaging as they can penetrate deeper into the eye and potentially cause damage to retinal cells.
Another misconception about red light is that it causes cataracts or increases the risk of developing them. However, research has not shown any direct link between red light exposure and cataract formation.
How Red Light TherapyTreatment Method Uses Red Light to Improve Overall Eye Health
Stimulate Cellular Repair and Regeneration: Red Light Therapy (RLT), also known as photobiomodulation, is a non-invasive treatment method that uses red and near-infrared light to stimulate cellular repair and regeneration. This therapy has been found to have various benefits for the eyes, such as reducing inflammation, improving circulation, and promoting healing.
Stimulate the Production of Adenosine Triphosphate: One of the ways RLT can improve overall eye health is by targeting specific wavelengths of red light (around 635-670 nm) to stimulate the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the main energy source for cells. This helps in repairing damaged cells and tissues in the eye, thereby improving vision.
Reduce Oxidative Stress and Inflammation: Additionally, RLT can also help in reducing oxidative stress and inflammation in the eyes, which are common factors contributing to age-related vision problems like macular degeneration and cataracts.
While blue light from artificial sources can have harmful effects on our eyes, red light therapy using specific wavelengths is beneficial for eye health. However, it is important to consult with a healthcare professional before undergoing any type of treatment for your eyes.
Tips for Protecting Your Eyes From Harmful Light: Practical Steps You Can Take to Minimize Potential Damage
When it comes to safeguarding your eyes from harmful light, proactive measures can make a significant difference.
Invest in Quality UV-blocking Sunglasses: First, invest in quality UV-blocking sunglasses when outdoors; look for lenses that offer 100% protection against UVA and UVB rays. These not only shield your vision but also reduce glare, making it easier on the eyes.
Use Blue Light-blocking Glasses: Next, consider using blue light-blocking glasses if you spend extended hours in front of screens. These specialized lenses filter out high-energy visible (HEV) light emitted by digital devices, which can contribute to digital eye strain and discomfort over time.
Adjust the Brightness Settings: Creating an optimal indoor environment is also crucial. Adjust the brightness settings on your devices and utilize blue light filters available on most operating systems after sunset. Incorporating regular breaks into your screen time, like the 20-20-20 rule, can help relieve any strain: every 20 minutes, take a 20-second break to look at something 20 feet away.
Use Soft Ambient Light: Finally, don’t underestimate the power of proper lighting while reading or working. Soft ambient lighting reduces harsh contrasts and eases eye fatigue significantly.
Conclusion
It is important to be aware of the potential risks associated with red light exposure and take necessary precautions to protect our eyes. While further research is needed to fully understand the effects of red light on eye health, we should all strive to limit our exposure and use protective eyewear when necessary. By following these safety tips and being mindful of how much red light we are exposed to, we can help preserve our vision for years to come.

New Frostrail video delivers more survival train horror shooting plus weird underground Tomb Raider temples
[ad_1]
I’ve felt surprisingly mixed so far about Frostrail, the new first-person co-op horror survival game from the folks behind Barotrauma. As a rule, I’m keen on stories about awful apocalypse trains – see Metro Exodus, RailGods, and recent Julian favourite Fogpiercer – but Frostrail has hitherto seemed a bit generic. Certainly, a bit generic for a game from the people who made a game that inspired write-ups like this one.
The announcement trailer suggested a dowdy routine of chugging between resource spots and shooting a few dozen ice zombies while backpedalling towards your upgradeable locomotive. Thankfully, this week’s new gameplay overview adds a few layers of mystique, delving into catacombs where the vegetation is lusher, the architecture a bit Tomb Raidery, and the horror, less explicable. You’ll get into certain of these sunken spaces by way of abandoned churches, which reminded me a little of the altar puzzle in Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. Anyway, here’s the video.
I can’t knock the game’s backstory writing. “Once a mighty empire, the land now lies barren, consumed by an unrelenting cold,” explains the Steam page. “Twisted by the Emperor’s pact with the Void, its ruins are haunted by relentless revenants and eldritch horrors. Aboard an armored, steam-powered train, the Penitent Gardeners purge the land of the cursed, granting mercy to the lost and striking down the wicked, seeking salvation in the heart of the frozen desolation.”
Yes! I have always wanted to be a Penitent Gardener, and not just the everyday, lower-case kind who forgets to sow the potatoes in time and hack back the raspberries before the winter.
Frostrail is out in early access sometime this year. If you missed Barotrauma for lack of an appropriately tenacious and twitchy submarine crew (yes, I’m aware you can play with bots), Frostrail appears more singleplayer-friendly in that it is openly marketed as for “solo or co-op”. Still, we won’t know for sure till we play it.
Question for the thread: who would win, trains or submarines? The answer, of course, is: we shouldn’t have to choose.

Shia LaBeouf Ordered To Rehab by Judge After New Orleans Arrest — Report
[ad_1]
Actor Shia LaBeouf is reportedly heading to rehab as part of his new bail conditions after an altercation during Mardi Gras in New Orleans landed him in a legal situation. The Transformers star appeared in court on February 26, where a judge ordered him to seek substance abuse treatment and submit to weekly drug testing following his arrest on two counts of battery.
Reports say a judge has ordered Shia LaBeouf to rehab after Mardi Gras arrest
Orleans Parish Criminal Court Judge Simone Levine reportedly mandated that Shia LaBeouf enroll in a rehabilitation program and post a $100,000 bond to remain out of custody while his case proceeds. The judge also required the actor to undergo immediate drug testing, which his attorney later confirmed showed no illegal substances in his system at the time.
The court date comes just over a week after LaBeouf was taken into custody during the city’s Mardi Gras festivities. Police responded to reports of a disturbance at the Royal Street Inn & R Bar in the early morning hours of February 17, where staff had removed him for aggressive behavior. According to the incident report, the actor allegedly returned to the bar and struck multiple people.
During Thursday’s hearing, Judge Levine expressed serious concerns about the nature of the allegations, particularly reports that LaBeouf used homophobic slurs during the incident. The police report reportedly claims the actor allegedly targeted two men with derogatory language while striking them, with one victim reportedly suffering a dislocated nose.
“This defendant does not take his alcohol addiction seriously,” Levine said from the bench. “This court does not believe he understands the level of seriousness when it comes to these allegations.”
Shia LaBeouf has a documented history of legal issues, including prior arrests and a 2020 sexual battery lawsuit filed by ex-girlfriend FKA Twigs, which was settled out of court in July. LaBeouf has also been open about his struggles with sobriety in past interviews and court proceedings (via AP News).
