Every year, New Yorkers patiently wait for the summer to arrive for a plethora of reasons. Dining outside in the city reopens, summer Fridays are back in session, days in the park become a part of everyone’s weekly routine, and most exciting of all, Hamptons season arrives. All fall, winter, and spring long, New Yorkers wait patiently to escape far to the east to the land of hydrangeas, lobster rolls, and white linen pants to drink too much rosé and relax on the beach with friends. Luckily for me, I am going to be one of those New Yorkers this summer. As I have more Hamptons weekends on my calendar this summer than ever before, it looks like my manifesting has been working.
Of course, the first thought that popped into my head once I had finalized my plans to head to the Hamptons was, What am I going to wear? I have to bring my A game. After all, summering in the Hamptons is not the time to drop the ball when it comes to outfits. I’m on a mission to have jaw-droppingly great looks. I want outfits that turn heads and prompt people to stop and ask, “Where did you get that?” With all of this in mind, I headed to Shopbop, Mango, and H&M on a mission for the best Hamptons-ready clothing that didn’t break the bank, and I found 30 items that are exactly what I was looking for.
Keep scrolling to see which 30 Mango, H&M, and Shopbop pieces I’ll be packing with me on my trips to the Hamptons this summer.
Though it’s now a part of my job, I was aggressively checking the new arrivals at all my favorite retailers long before I was a fashion editor. Since I could shop, I’ve been enthralled by the rows and rows of never-before-seen items that arrive in droves every season at stores like Zara, H&M, and Nordstrom. That fascination came in handy this morning when I set off to round up the best summer pieces that dropped this week at all three retailers above.
Given that I’ve practically trained my entire life for this type of task, you can rest easy knowing the list of 40 just-debuted pieces from H&M, Zara, and Nordstrom that I meticulously curated below includes only items worth saying “yes” to. But don’t take my word for it. Keep scrolling, and you’ll soon see proof.
Given the enormous red sale banner on the homepage of H&M’s website, I got distracted during my weekly crawl of the brand’s new arrivals and almost completely forgot to check them out. Luckily, I fought the urge to scroll through the sale for the umpteenth time, because a few clicks away were hundreds of new items that were as close to perfect as a wardrobe item can get—especially when the max price is $100.
This week, in addition to plenty of fresh discounts, H&M dropped a bevy of summer arrivals that demand your immediate attention. So, it’s no wonder that I’ve already texted half of my contact list about them, not to mention wrote this dedicated story. Tube dresses, linen trousers, eyelet tops, minimalist sandals, and more—it’s as if H&M saw my extensive wishlist for the season and said, “Make it.” Before everything inevitably sells out in seconds (but actually, this will happen), scroll down to shop H&M’s newest items.
These days it seems like you can barely buy a baguette for less than $5, so when I come across a quintessentially French find that doesn’t cost a fortune, I tend to take stock and spread the wealth.
Recently I came across an incredibly soft jersey maxi dress from H&M that is reminiscent of the style we’ve seen parading across Paris. The main difference is that this dress comes with an unbelievable price: $15. That’s right, for the cost of three artisanal baguettes, you can pick up a wear-everywhere dress that will see you through the entire summer.
Whether your upcoming plans consist of standing in front of the air conditioner or stuffing your carry-on bag to the brim, I’m sure this simple-yet-sophisticated staple can be worn almost every single day of the summer. Ahead, get excited to shop the trend with some outfit inspiration, then browse 15 of the best jersey maxi dresses available now.
Jennifer Lopez has seen it all, so when she endorses a controversial trend, people tend to take notice. The superstar and mother of two was spotted in Los Angeles walking to a casual lunch. Lopez mixed luxury and affordable pieces including an Hermés Birken and designer aviators with Nike Air Force 1s, a cropped sweater, and baggy low-rise jeans. And, while the sneakers are definitely cool, it was the Y2K-era low-rise jeans that piqued our interest.
Although low-rise styles have been creeping back into fashion over the past few seasons, it’s the unusual combination of the rise and the width that pushes these jeans into controversial territory. If you’re totally opposed to low-rise jeans, move along; this look isn’t for you. But, if you’re open to something a little out of the box, then you’re in luck. We found several pairs of loose, low-rise denim at places like Zara and H&M, plus a few pricier versions, too.
This fit might not be for everyone — J.Lo can pull off outfits that most women wouldn’t even attempt — but, we think this one’s a winner. We especially love how the super slouchy fit works with both casual and more elevated pieces; perfect for those of us with Birken bag dreams but on a Birkenstock budget.
So, if you’re down to give Lopez’s latest look a go, keep scrolling to shop similar pieces, plus a plethora of sweet low-slung jeans to wear on your next lunch date. Enjoy!
Summer is when I really start dressin’, as the cool kids say. As a 24-year-old living in downtown New York where every sidewalk seems to be the equivalent of an arts-scene fashion show, the summer season is the most crucial when it comes to fashion. While my job as an editor is to find the most chic, on-trend items everyone on the internet is lusting after (including myself!), it’s harder to make those purchases ethically if I know they won’t come in my size.
Time and time again, plus size people paved the way for retails and brands to deliver on size-inclusive promises. Over the last few years, more of our editors’ beloved brands have made steps in the right direction. Brands like H&M and Mango are staples in our everyday wardrobes, so their semi-recent size expansions are still the cause of celebration. For designers who have size inclusivity at the crux of their operations, like Good American or Rails, Nordstrom has become a home. If you’re above a size 12, you’re in luck. What once was an annoying task, searching through racks and scrolling pages online to find the best plus size summer clothing has come to an end. Below, find all of the best dresses, swimsuits, skirts, jeans, and tops for all sizes, just in time for the summer, from Nordstrom, H&M, and Mango.
French style is highly coveted, including by the editors at Who What Wear, as it is often associated with words like chic and effortless. When it comes to covering Parisian fashion, it’s the effortlessly elegant staples, such as elevated basics, that are most popular among this style set. In fact, there are three stores that offer a range of chic items that would likely appeal to a French girl: J.Crew, Abercrombie & Fitch, and H&M.
I believe a woman in Paris would greatly appreciate the selections I recently discovered at these stores, as they seamlessly blend into a low-key yet forward wardrobe. I’m referring to items like relaxed tailoring that can be paired with anything from flats to sneakers, as well as pretty skirts that effortlessly pair with a tank and sandals. Basic essentials like simple tees and straight-leg jeans also make the cut.

Summer is arguably my favorite season to dress for simply because it’s the easiest. After my fair share of experimentation with fashion throughout my early 20s, I’ve landed on simple, elevated, effortless summer outfits to carry me through the warmest weather of the year. Today’s fashion hype-fixation? Finding a plus-size summer dress I’ll be hard-pressed not to wear every day for the next three months.
In a world full of incredibly chic summer dresses, it’s hard to scroll online for hours and not find your size. Thankfully, I’ve spent the last three hours rounding up the best plus-size summer dresses for anyone itching to add something pretty to their closet without sacrificing comfort or style. Let’s face it: There’s no worse feeling than having a dress that doesn’t fit quite right. Lucky for you, these 34 finds should make dressing for summer that much easier. Don’t believe me? Sofia Richie Grainge is in her It-girl era. In recent weeks I haven’t been able to escape her content—not that I’m mad about it. TikTok users were quick to compare her nuptials to a royal wedding as they fawned over every detail of her pre- and post-ceremony outfits. Oh, and don’t even get me started on her impeccable honeymoon looks.
Richie’s recent outfits have been burned into my brain, so I immediately thought of her when I saw this new H&M dress. H&M’s Glittery Pointelle-Knit Dress ($75) reminds me of the Khaite Cedar Dress ($2400) she wore in the South of France. Her Instagram post garnered over 240,000 likes and hundreds of comments, so it’s safe to say her fans loved the dress. Scroll down to shop H&M’s version.
There’s nothing more frustrating than shopping online for hours and not seeing anything you like. If you’re plus size, it’s even harder because limited sizing and silhouettes— making the struggle to find the perfect pair of jeans, dresses, or shorts that much harder. Denim shorts have always been the item I struggle to shop with the most. For the longest time, nearly all styles available in my size felt too boring, too long, too big, too small, or too cropped. Over the last few years, as more and more brands have caught up to the plus size market’s buying power and sartorial needs, some of my favorite retailers have added cute, trend-forward styles in a variety of washes, cuts. and lengths that suits everyone. (Took long enough!)
Now that summer is here, I can’t wait to pull my jean shorts from storage and feel comfortable and chic this summer. While my personal uniform involves a pair worn with a simple white tee and leather sandals, there’s a ton of outfit inspiration out there to convince you that you need a pair.
Below, shop some of the best plus size jean shorts just in time for the summer— including some super cute, inclusive outfit inspiration to spark joy. Everyone deserves to find clothing that they feel and look good in, and these 24 pairs do just that.
Is it just me, or are we suddenly in peak pre-summer sale season? Hey, I don’t hate it!

After browsing all 1170 new-in products, it’s safe to say my cart is full of expensive-looking pieces that are surprisingly affordable.
But today’s my lucky day—and yours too. From Tuesday, May 9, through Thursday, May 11, H&M is offering 20% off purchases of $75 or more, plus free shipping. Just enter code 2830 at checkout, and you’ll be set to enter the hottest season in style without blowing your summer budget. Stay cool out there!
I’ve long been adamant about my love for heels of all kinds and my general avoidance of flats whenever possible. So, you can imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon a $20 pair of utterly heel-less strappy sandals on H&M’s website that I not only wanted but literally had to have. Minimal in shape but loud in terms of their print—the sandals are snakeskin, a trend I’ve already coined *the* animal print of 2023—the cost-effective sandals were shockingly alluring to a heel lover like me.
Naturally, I did further research in order to try and zero in on what exactly about H&M’s newest sandals caught my eye, only to remember that Khaite—one of the fashion set’s most desired labels, not to mention a personal favorite of mine—made a similar pair for spring. Though the H&M pair doesn’t feature quite as many luxurious details as the Khaite ones do, they do cost more than $700 less whilst still giving off the same overall aesthetic, so my interest in them shouldn’t be all that startling.
I’d be willing to bet that I’m not the only anti-flats fashion person with a soft spot for these H&M sandals, meaning that the likelihood of them staying in stock is next to none. Shop them while you still can below.
Whether you’re in the public eye or not, there’s something to be said for having a recognizable signature style. Whether your style is broadly defined as classic, sporty, or bohemian, or super specific combinations like ankle-length dresses with boots or high-waist jeans with boxy tees, there’s a lot of value in knowing what makes you look and feel your best.
Long before she was one of the most recognizable faces around the world, Meghan Markle honed her personal style, focusing on modern interpretations of traditional silhouettes. And, while her wardrobe ranges from casual to custom, there is a particular style that stands out as quintessentially Meg: the trench coat dress.
The duchess has worn several trench-inspired dresses, but the public first took notice of them when she stepped out in a sleeveless midi-length design by House of Nonie in 2018. In subsequent years, Markle has been photographed wearing this style of dress from brands as accessible as Banana Republic to designer labels like Wales Bonner, which she chose to wear for baby Archie’s debut.
While Banana Republic’s version is currently sold out, this classic design can be found at an array of retailers and price points. As springtime and sunshine call for shorter hemlines and lightweight fabrics, we’re excited to step into H&M’s linen version of the sleeveless belted style. But, if that’s not the right fit, there are plenty of affordable trench-inspired dresses to try on at Zara, Mango, and even Uniqlo, not to mention a few pricer designer versions.
Keep scrolling for 10 of our favorite Markle-inspired trench coat dresses, and prepare to suit up in style this season.
A few nights back, in a bustling restaurant in Lower Manhattan, I regaled with fellow fashion editors over one specific topic: sale shopping. Regarding sales, some might say the allure of scouring the clearance section could be chopped up to a rise in endorphins, but it’s more than that. There’s something magical about finding a great deal both in real life and on the internet. It’s an experience that can enchant anyone (fashion editor or otherwise).
But even if you find sale shopping not that exhilarating, you likely know the importance of scoring a deal. With rising inflation, it’s more imperative to be intentional with what you’re buying, especially in the clothing department. You want to buy pieces that can be worn for extended periods while not breaking the bank. And what better place to do just that than at H&M? While most may consider the large retailer where to shop for “trendier” items, the truth is it has a treasure-trove of great staples.
What’s more, is that they offer great flash sales‚ including the one that’s ending today (4/30). Shoppers can get 15% off purchases of $60, 20% off $80, or 25% off $100, plus free shipping. It’s a great way to stock up on the essentials for half the price. But if you’re still dubious about what gems can be found at H&M, you’ll want to keep reading. I’ve done some deep-scrolling to identify 35 perfect spring-to-summer staples for any wardrobe. These items are not only timeless, but they’re sure to make even the most anti-sale shoppers get goosebumps.
H&M is one of those retailers that I look at a lot in my role as a fashion editor at Who What Wear, specifically on the shopping team. One of my main duties is to curate edits of trending buys I think you, dear readers, will love. And when I want to share expensive-looking items that ring in at more affordable price points, H&M is that front-runner.
Below, you’ll actually find one of my shopping lists that features the chicest H&M items that look elevated and have forward and modern design details. But yes, everything included in the mix comes in at $75 and under.
Keep scrolling to check out beautiful dresses, sharp tailoring silhouettes, adorable tops, sleek denim cuts, and more.
Whenever I’m looking for a quick and affordable fashion pick-me-up, I immediately go to H&M. The clothing company always has something chic I can buy to quickly satisfy my shopping urge—and, most of the time, the pieces I pick garner me tons of compliments. Now that it’s officially spring in New York City, those of us who spent winter bundled up inside are more than ready to get back outside for days at the park, weekend brunches, and more.
With warm weather on the way, my wardrobe needed something new for all the fun spring and summer events I’ve planned. Naturally, I had to check out what H&M had to offer. Because I wanted to do a full haul, I told myself to only focus on items priced at $50 or less. To my surprise, I found so many really chic pieces. I found dresses perfect for rooftop season, tops I can wear all season long, and sandals that look cute and comfortable.
Keep scrolling to see the affordable H&M pieces I love right now.
Even if you don’t work in fashion or its surrounding entities, I can almost guarantee you’ve seen a picture of a flannel-clad Kate Moss walking in Bottega Veneta’s S/S 23 show at some point in the last seven or so months. Casual and cool but wildly elevated, Moss’s look did more for flannel than Mr. Brawny ever could (thanks in part to other looks from the collection that featured the same woodsy staple). And now that spring has finally arrived, we’re starting to see the online popularity of flannel play out in real life.
Case in point: Earlier this week, Jennifer Lawrence was spotted walking in New York City with Cooke Maroney, her husband of nearly four years. On that walk, Lawrence was wearing a simple jeans-and-tee look elevated with Alaïa sunglasses, sold-out Adidas Sambas, and a gray-and-black flannel similar to styles that rocked the runways back in September with their simple yet alluring qualities. Though I’ve yet to determine the designer responsible for Lawrence’s perfectly cropped flannel, her affinity for luxurious labels like The Row and Alaïa leads me to believe it likely won’t come cheap. But then I remembered how large the flannel offering was, and always has been, at H&M, and I couldn’t resist looking for an affordable alternative. Below, find the $30 flannels I found at H&M that’ll get you Lawrence’s look at a great price.
One of the most elusive parts about luxury fashion brands like Louis Vuitton, Mugler, or Dior is that they don’t produce their clothing in a timely manner with cheaper fabrics to fit trends. They dictate the trends, while fast fashion brands like Shein, Forever 21, and H&M rush to copy them. Fast fashion is always more affordable, but is equally guaranteed to fall apart within three washes.
Mugler is known for their architectural style. Think corsets, broad shoulders, and cinched waists – it’s about illusions and futuristic looks, and Thierry Mugler’s visions have been worn by celebrities like Cardi B and Bella Hadid on red carpets and runways across the world. And now, they’ve decided to collaborate with fast fashion’s finest: H&M.
It’s a bit of a peculiar mashup that doesn’t quite make sense. While I love the preview of the H&Mugler collection, which drops May 11, I can’t help but wonder why it’s happening. First of all, fast fashion is controversial on its own. Bad for the environment, bad conditions for their workers, bad materials, bad everything.
But to attach Mugler’s precious luxury name to fast fashion is eyebrow-raising. H&M has some of the lowest-priced clothing available in your local mall, while Mugler is often sold in standalone stores surrounded by Gucci and St. Laurent buildings. However, for this collection, they’re said to be meeting in the middle, price-wise.
Mugler’s creative director Casey Cadwallader has designed the collection to stay true to Mugler while bringing it into the homes of those who can’t normally afford the brand’s steep pricing.
“I was determined for this collection to be true Mugler. The details and quality of every piece had to be exactly as we do them, and I wanted to showcase the energy of Mugler, which has always been about clothes that allow for personal liberation. You can be so many different versions of yourself in Mugler.”
This collaboration isn’t that surprising for H&M, who has had several successful luxury collaborations in the past with brands like Karl Lagerfeld, Versace, and Kenzo. For this Mugler collab, H&M was looking to hone in on the silhouette-hugging, confidence-inducing Mugler classic look.
“We are proud to celebrate the legacy of Manfred Thierry Mugler with this collection,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor at H&M. “We were all honored to get to know Manfred, and it feels very special that he was involved at the initial stages together with Casey and the house of Mugler. Casey has done such an incredible job at paying homage to history, and to the archive while making the collection totally contemporary. Under him, Mugler has become one of the most innovative and exciting houses on today’s fashion landscape.”
Thierry Mugler was a favorite among all celebrities. He returned from a 20-year hiatus in 2019 to create Kim Kardashian’s wet Met Gala look. After passing away last January, this collab is said to honor Mugler’s iconic looks in his memory.
If this season’s red craze isn’t your thing, perhaps Kate Middleton‘s preferred shade on the color wheel is. The Princess of Wales spent her Sunday attending Easter service at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, where she re-wore (a sartorial tradition of Middleton’s) a royal blue coatdress custom-made by Catherine Walker. Middleton paired the coat with a blue Lock and Co. pillbox hat and a blue Emmy London clutch. In fact, the only item Middleton wore that wasn’t blue was a pair of neutral suede pumps from her go-to shoe brand, Gianvito Rossi.
But Middleton isn’t the only person eyeing royal blue for spring and summer. After a few hours of scrolling through H&M, Nordstrom, and Zara this morning, it became crystal clear the shade is having a moment. A bevy of options in the hue are being sold at all three retailers right now. Below, check out my favorites from their current offerings.
It’s been a minute since I really delved deep into the trendy offerings at H&M, and I’ve clearly been missing out. If you like cheap thrills that make your outfits look especially current for any given season, it’s truly one of the best places to peruse. So peruse I did because who doesn’t want to look a bit trendier for not a lot of money? Feel free to disagree, but I find that spring and summer are the easiest seasons to add trendy items into your wardrobe for cheap. After looking at H&M, the universe is basically agreeing with me.
Have I gotten your attention? If so, scroll on to shop 46 under-$100 H&M items that are making me very excited for outfits to come.
