  • Who Are Matt Lauer’s Kids? Meet Sons Jack and Thijs and Daughter Romy

It’s been eight years since Matt Lauer was forced out of the spotlight following allegations of sexual misconduct. During that time, his three children have managed to mostly stay out of the limelight.

Lauer married Dutch model Annette Roque in 1998. The couple went on to welcome sons Jack and Thijs and daughter Romy.

Once Lauer’s alleged misconduct made headlines in 2017, he was fired from NBC after being a host on the network for more than two decades. (Lauer was accused by a female colleague of inappropriate behavior during NBC’s coverage of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, three years prior.)

Lauer said in a statement at the time that he was “truly sorry” for the “pain I have caused others by my words and actions,” but the fallout from the scandal poisoned his career and affected his romantic relationship.

Matt Lauer and his second wife, Annette Roque, were months away from celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary when the TV host was hit by scandal. Roque filed for divorce in July 2019 and Lauer since has worked hard to rebuild his connection with his kids. “He is on good terms with his kids, which was the most important thing for him,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in April 2024. “This was not always the case post-divorce but now he’s good with the kids.”

Lauer and Roque welcomed their first child, son Jack, in June 2001. “Becoming a dad gave me perspective; it brought balance to my life,” Lauer told Good Housekeeping in 2007.

The following year, Lauer told his Today cohosts that his eldest son was a “sports fanatic,” with whom he frequently attended games with in New York City. The pair was spotted at the New York Knicks games and New York Rangers games over the years.

“All he cares about is sports. Baseball in the summer, basketball in the winter, football in the fall. He loves it,” Lauer said of Jack in 2008.

As an adult, Jack has managed to stay out of the public eye. He doesn’t have a public social media account and hasn’t popped up on sister Romy’s profile in recent years.

Romy is the only daughter of Lauer and ex-wife Roque. She was born in October 2003. Romy made her TV debut at 3 years old when her father read her a story on a special episode of Sesame Street.

Over the years, Romy has focused on horseback riding, having competed in jumping and other events since she was young. Romy has continued to compete at a high level since going off to University of Miami for college in 2022.

Romy has been dating University of Miami tennis player Antonio Prat since April 2023, according to her Instagram. “Happy to live by your side. 730 days. Love you ❤️,” Prat wrote via Instagram in April 2025, celebrating the couple’s second anniversary.

Romy made headlines in September 2024 when news broke that she crashed a car into a fence in the Hamptons in July of that year. Romy was given a traffic ticket for leaving the scene, according to People. She never went to trial for the incident.

Lauer and Roque’s youngest child, son Thijs, was born in November 2006. Thijs is pronounced “Tice,” and is a common Dutch name short for Matthijs (a.k.a. the Dutch equivalent of Matthew.) Roque is from the Netherlands and Lauer’s full name is Matthew, so Thijs is a nod to both parents.

Thijs was born two months after Roque filed for divorce from Lauer in September 2006, citing “cruel and inhumane” behavior. She withdrew her petition three weeks later, but the pair split for good in 2019.

Thijs has remained out of the spotlight during his teenage years and into young adulthood. He has a social media account, but it is private. Thijs, however, was spotted in a photo from a trip to Mongolia in 2023, which his sister, Romy, posted on her Instagram.

According to his Instagram bio, Thijs is a student at Boston College. Thijs was highlighted in June 2025 via Boston College 2030’s social media page, where he shared he was living in Switzerland at boarding school for three years before returning to the U.S. for college. “I’m a Swiss ski instructor (love to ski) and like [to] go to the gym,” the profile read.

  • Nathan Lane Made Hepatitis Joke to Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s 5-Year-Old Son

Jesse Tyler Ferguson had no qualms about Nathan Lane telling an adult joke to his 5-year-old son, Beckett.

Ferguson, 50, shared that he recently invited Lane, 69, and Pamela Adlon over to his home for dinner during the latest episode of his “Dinner’s on Me” podcast. Before the meal, he recalled using Lane’s very famous Disney character, The Lion King’s Timon, as a touchpoint for Beckett and son Sullivan, 3, to help recognize their impending guests. (Ferguson shares both his sons with husband Justin Mikita.)

“[Lane] was in town shooting something and we’ve been trying to meet for dinner and it was just easier. I was like, ‘Do you just want me to cook for you? I’ll cook for you.’ And he came over,” the Modern Family star explained. “And I was like, ‘You know Nathan, of course. You’ve listened to him, you know his voice from [Timon in] The Lion King.’ So I played ‘Hakuna Matata’ and on my way to school, they were singing ‘Hakuna Matata.’ And I was like, ‘This is Nathan who is coming to dinner!’”

He continued, “So that evening, Nathan comes over with Pam, and Nathan comes in, and my son goes, ‘I know who you are!’ He called him, ‘Athan.’ ‘Athan, Athan, Athan, I know who you are! You’re from ‘Hakuna Matata,’ you’re from Lion King!‘”

While Ferguson’s kids were clearly excited, the Only Murders in the Building star was allegedly less than enthused to be recognized for one of his past roles. “Nathan was like, ‘Oh god.’ Like, as if he was being stopped in the street by a fan,” Ferguson recalled with a laugh. “I was like, ‘Nathan, he’s a 5-year-old. Like, let it rest!’”

Lane’s response didn’t dissuade Ferguson’s eldest, though, as Beckett returned shortly after with something hidden behind his back. When he asked Lane to guess what he had, the Birdcage star didn’t hold back.

“He’s like, ‘Athan, Athan, Athan, guess what I have?’” Ferguson remembered. “And Nathan goes, ‘Hepatitis.’”

Despite the joke being more geared toward adults, Ferguson said he wasn’t bothered by Lane’s disposition.

“I loved him so much for just being authentically himself,” Ferguson confessed, adding that Lane has expressed that children aren’t his favorite crowd. “He’s like, ‘I don’t mind kids, but I also don’t relate to them. And I hear an opportunity for a joke and this is what I’m going to give.’”

Lane’s status as Disney royalty has made him a legend to the younger generations. The Emmy winner starred as lovable jungle meerkat Timon in all three of the original Lion King films, one half of the movie’s comedic relief duo with Ernie Sabella Nathan Lane Made Hepatitis Joke to Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s 5-Year-Old Son who portrayed warthog Pumba.

While there is plenty of kid humor throughout each Lion King — including Pumba’s farting noises, which came from Sabella trying to make Lane laugh in early morning recording sessions — there was one adult-leaning joke that made its way into the movie thanks to Lane’s improv.

While appearing on an April 2025 episode of SiriusXM’s Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend show, Lane admitted the scene where Timon puts on a skirt and distracts a group of hyenas came from him “screwing around” in the studio.

“I don’t even remember half of it, but, apparently I said, ‘What do you want me to do, dress in drag and do the hula?’ for some reason,” Lane recalled of the now-famous line. “It must have been a long day. And then they made it a song.”

Lane, who came out publicly as gay in 1999, nearly expanded his kids movie resume with another classic, 1996’s Space Jam. However, the Guys and Dolls actor claimed during a May 2025 interview with Vanity Fair that he was passed over for the role due to homophobia.

“I was told [being gay did] impact a movie that I didn’t really care about: Space Jam. I was up for the part that the guy from Seinfeld wound up playing,” Lane said, referencing the role of Michael Jordan’s publicist that ultimately went to Wayne Knight. “I was up for that part. Apparently the director saw me hosting the Tony Awards and thought that suggested I was too gay to play the part. So thank God, I didn’t have to do Space Jam.

The family of five made a low-key appearance at the release party for Marc Shaiman’s book, Never Mind The Happy: Showbiz Stories From A Sore Winner, marking their first public outing together since 2022.

Sarah was a proud mother as she sported an all-black ensemble with an eye-catching pearl necklace, while Matthew, whom she married in 1997, looked dapper in a red patterned suit.

Their 23-year-old son, James, was laid back in a gray T-shirt and black jeans, while 16-year-old Tabitha looked chic in a green sweater and black pants. Her twin sister Marion opted for a beige blouse and blue jeans on the night.

Tabitha and Marion’s most recent public appearance was at the premiere of Smash on Broadway in April 2025, while James joined his parents at the Golden Globes in early January 2026, twinning with his father in a tuxedo with a large white flower in the lapel.

Sarah was honored with the Carol Burnett Award on the night, and made sure to pay homage to her family in her emotional acceptance speech. “To my beloved family, my brilliant husband Matthew Broderick, who has been my husband for just shy of 30 years,” she said. “Who has given me a family discount, an all-access pass to his masterclass in acting, comedy and dedication.”

While James is pursuing a career in Hollywood, and even starred alongside his father in an episode of Elsbeth in February 2025, Tabitha and Marion are less interested in following in their parents’ footsteps. “I really want my children to be educated in the ways that are fulfilling to them,” the Sex and the City star told E! News.

“I don’t think that there is one way to be an educated person or to be equipped to be an adult and try to fashion a life for yourself after what would be considered ‘finishing college’ – let’s say 22 years old.”

“They like clothing, but it’s not playing an oversized role in their life. They definitely have ideas about how they want to feel and look when they walk out the door, but they don’t seem particularly distracted [by it],” she explained.

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Alex Vesia will keep his late daughter close to his heart during the upcoming 2026 baseball season.

“It’s glove day [and I] get to customize six gloves with Marucci,” Alex, 29, said in a Friday, January 16, TikTok video shared by his wife, Kayla Vesia.

According to Kayla, also 29, her husband designs a new baseball glove ahead of each MLB season.

“It’s that time of the year again when we make Alex’s gloves for the season [with] the colors, everything,” Kayla explained in her footage. “Fun fact about gloves. No. 1, the gloves cannot be white, they need to be two-toned … [and] pitchers tend to have a bigger glove so they don’t tip their pitches.”

Sometimes he pulls inspo from different pictures of gloves that already exist and most of the time we mess around and see what we like.”

Alex and Kayla announced in November 2025 that their daughter, Sterling Sol, “went to heaven.”

“There are no words to describe the pain we’re going through but we hold her in our hearts and cherish every second we had with her,” the couple wrote in a social media statement at the time. “Thank you to the Dodgers for their understanding and support during this time. Our baseball family showed up for us and we wouldn’t be able to do this without them.”

Alex sat out the entirety of the 2025 World Series last fall while grieving Sterling’s death. (The Dodgers eventually won the championship over the Toronto Blue Jays.)

  • John Mellencamp breaks silence on famous daughter’s cancer battle with painful update

John Mellencamp shared a painful update about his daughter Teddi‘s health on Wednesday, just months after the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star revealed that her cancer was “gone”. The iconic rocker shared on The Joe Rogan Experience that Teddi was “really sick” amid her stage four cancer battle, which began in 2022 when she was first diagnosed with melanoma.

“It’s not [expletive] fun,” John said. “She’s got cancer in the brain, and she’s suffering right now.” Teddi revealed in April 2025 that her cancer had reached stage four, after being found in her lungs and brain.

John revealed that Teddi was “suffering” amid her cancer battle

She underwent surgery to remove several brain tumors in February 2025 and documented her radiation therapy journey. In October of that year, the mother of three shared on her podcast, Two T’s in a Pod, that she had tentatively been declared cancer-free by doctors.

“Just to give a little life update to you guys, I had my immunotherapy yesterday, and they did my scans, and at this point, there is no detectable cancer,” she said. “I still need to be on immunotherapy for another year, and I’m not considered in remission or anything like that.”

“When they told me, I was in such shock, I was numb. So I’m still going to be having days when I’m feeling sick and stuff because I still am in immunotherapy, so I’m still fighting because you have to be,” Teddi continued.

“The way [the doctors] said it works, it’s like one year, then two years, then at three years you’re allowed to be considered…in remission. So, but that was huge news yesterday…All the tumors continued to shrink and everything. It’s been good. It’s a good day.”

She added that he “stepped in”, “helped me have a nurse”, and called “every single day” to check in. She reiterated how important her father had been throughout her recovery in a touching tribute to the “Jack & Diane” singer on Instagram in October.

  • Why Dax Shepard Is ‘Sad’ After Losing ‘Best Podcast’ Golden Globe

Dax Shepard detailed why he couldn’t help feeling “sad” after failing to take home the first Best Podcast Golden Globe award.

Taking to Instagram after the ceremony on Sunday, January 11, the “Armchair Expert” cohost shared a screen shot of a text exchange with one of his daughters that detailed his post-event reflections. “You know, the ONLY reason I’m sad I didn’t win is because I wanted to stand on that stage and tell the whole world how much I love you and your sister,” Shepard, 51, sent to his daughter via text. (Shepard shares two daughters, Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 11, with wife Kristen Bell.)

The touching response came after his daughter wrote of his glam appearance at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, “You look so handsome dada,” followed by “Your suit is stunning.” Shepard, who lost the award to Amy Poehler and her work on “Good Hang,” offered further perspective within the screen shot’s caption. “I won tonight. And every night,” he wrote.

Several celebrity friends hit Like on Shepard’s post including Nina Dobrev, Joey King and Meghann Fahy, while many fans commented on his parenting style. “There’s something special about when a kiddo reaches the age where they can text you sweet things like this,” wrote one person, while another wrote, “Nothing better than the tremendous love between a child and parent.”

Shepard and Bell, who got married in October 2013, arrived arm-in-arm at the event staged inside Los Angeles’ Beverly Hilton, clearly putting a recent awkward joint “Armchair Expert” interview with guest star Cher behind them. The Monday, January 5, episode saw Shepard ask the music icon who she thought would be a “dream partner” for Bell because he believed Cher thought she “could do better” than him.

Cher, who costarred with Bell in 2010’s Burlesque, responded, “The truth is, I trust her. So, you must have something that I don’t see.”

Bell added her own two cents, noting that her husband is “a slow burn, but you’re going to learn to love him,” before saying that Shepard is “almost too good for” her.

The episode also made headlines after Shepard revealed that he recently promised Delta he would support any future request to freeze her eggs. “Delta was saying how she can’t wait to have a baby,” he said during the podcast, which is coshosted by Monica Padman. “I said, ‘When do you think you’ll have your first child, when you turn 18?’ I want to be supportive of whatever. I said, ‘If you want to, we’ll freeze your eggs when you’re 18.’ I’ll pay for you to get your eggs frozen so you don’t have to think about that.”

Blackstock died in August 2025 following a three-year cancer battle. The first sign that Blackstock was ill came that same month when Clarkson postponed her “Studio Session” concerts at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

“Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,” she said in a statement at the time. “While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.”

The American Idol alum concluded, “I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.”

One day later, Blackstock’s family released a statement confirming that he’d died after a lengthy battle with cancer.

“It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away. Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family,” a family spokesperson told Us Weekly. “We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time.”

Clarkson stepped away from her daytime talk show and filming on The Voice to support her children, though she eventually got back to work in September 2025.

Meanwhile, Us reported in August 2025 about the way Blackstock’s illness led him to build bridges with Clarkson after their contentious 2022 divorce. A source told Us that Blackstock’s cancer diagnosis “changed [his and Clarkson’s] perspectives” even if it didn’t necessarily bring them “closer together.”

“Co-parenting was not easy for Kelly because she was the one who had to transport the kids, so it was really her life that was always turned upside down,” the insider added. “She is their [children’s] primary parent. But this was catastrophic for them, so immediately Kelly went into mom mode and focused on the kids and how they were coping.”

While Clarkson has mostly shied away from addressing Blackstock’s death in public, her former mother-in-law, Reba McEntire, told Entertainment Tonight at the 2025 Emmy Awards red carpet that their whole family “miss [Blackstock] every minute.” (McEntire was married to Brandon’s father, Narvel Blackstock, from 1989 to 2015. Brandon and his siblings Chassidy and Shawna were from Narvel’s first marriage to Elisa Gayle Ritter, whom he was with from 1973 to 1988.)

“The kids are doing well, they’re all bonding together and hanging out with each other, and taking it one day at a time,” McEntire, 70, said in September 2025. “We know God’s got this.”

  • Gordon Ramsay Reflects on Emotional Speech at Daughter’s Wedding

Gordon Ramsay is opening up about the “tough” role of giving a speech on his daughter Holly‘s wedding day.

Ramsay, 59, and his daughter Tilly appeared on the Monday, January 5, episode of the U.K.’s This Morning, less than two weeks after Holly, 26, married Olympian Adam Peaty. Reflecting on his role as father of the bride, Ramsay admitted delivering a memorable speech was a “tough gig.”

“It’s tough, honestly,” he said. “Being the dad with three daughters, you dream of that moment, and that moment arrives, and you’re just like a hot mess. But the speech was perfect, it went well … You’ve got to be warm, emotional … It’s a tough gig.”

Tilly, 24, said she heard the speech before the big day. “I think it was Christmas Eve, I was sat in his room for an hour as he was just reading through it, going through everything, but no tweaks were needed,” she said. “It was perfect. It made everybody cry.”

Holly and Peaty, 31, exchanged vows on December 27, 2025, at The Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul in the U.K. Holly told British Vogue in an interview published this month that she wanted her wedding dress to be “very traditional, quite modest” and “super feminine,” citing Grace Kelly and Princess Kate Middleton as inspirations.

The bride wore a custom Elie Saab gown with long sleeves and a full skirt for the ceremony, but she changed outfits before her first dance with Peaty, repurposing mom Tana Ramsay‘s dress from her 1996 wedding to Gordon.

“Honestly, it was a bit of a shock because she had it on for the majority of the night,” Gordon said on Monday before asking Tilly if she would ever consider wearing her mom’s wedding dress.

“I would love to,” Tilly replied, before her father joked, “You’ve got to get engaged.”

Speaking to British Vogue, Holly teased that her parents “would love it if I did one look,” but she couldn’t resist the special tribute to her mom. “I’ve always loved the idea of bringing in mum’s dress at some point,” she said. “It’s beautiful: silk with a V-neckline and pearls all the way around. I tried it on and it fit me perfectly — it didn’t need any altering.”

“Remembering this special day 68 years ago, when Natalie and I said ‘I do.’ Happy Anniversary, Nat. More than love!” he wrote in the caption.

Fans rushed to the comment section to share the love, with one writing: “A great love is never forgotten, she is always with you and your family,” while another added: “Soulmates.”

“Thank you for sharing your beautiful memory,” another said, while a fourth chimed in: “They were a beautiful couple.” Robert and Natalie’s love story spanned decades, with the pair marrying in 1957 and divorcing five years later before tying the knot again in 1972.

They were together until her untimely death in 1981. Between their two marriages, Robert was married to actress Marion Marshall from 1963 to 1971, and the duo welcomed a daughter, Katie. Similarly, Natalie was married to producer Richard Gregson from 1969 to 1972, and had a daughter, Natasha, with him.

  • Amy Robach, T.J. Holmes Make Rare Outing With Blended Family

Newly engaged couple Amy Robach and T.J Holmes made a rare appearance with their blended family at Jingle Ball 2025.

The former GMA anchors turned podcast hosts attended the iHeartRadio concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday, December 12, alongside their daughters. In a group photo taken at the event, Holmes, 48, posed next to his youngest child, Sabine, 12, while Robach, 52, stood beside her daughters Ava, 22, and Annalise, 19.

Holmes wore a brown velvet jacket over an all-black ensemble for the occasion, while Robach rocked a chocolate brown lingerie-style dress. Her hair was pulled back and she wore dangling earrings, as well as her massive engagement ring from Holmes. (The pair announced their engagement in October after three years of dating.)

Sabine looked lovely in a red mini dress, which she paired with ankle boots and black tights. Ava wore a black dress and coordinating boots with tights while Annalise chose a plunging maroon polka dot frock. She also wore black boots and tights.

Robach shares Ava and Annalise with her first husband, Tim McIntosh, whom she was married to from 1996 to 2008. She was married to Melrose Place alum Andrew Shue from 2010 to 2022, until reports of infidelity arose in light of her romance with Holmes.

Shue, 58, is now dating Marilee Fiebig, Holmes’ ex-wife whom he split with following the cheating scandal. Holmes shares Sabine with Fiebig, 48, as well as daughter Brianna and son Jaiden with his first wife, Amy Ferson.

“I’m saying this genuinely — my girls have now gone off — but to have Sabine around is joy,” Robach shared on her and Holmes’ podcast in September. “I absolutely, totally appreciate and actually really look forward to and love having that childlike, that sweetness around. It’s awesome.”

Although Robach said she can no longer have children after battling breast cancer in 2013, she does have the “natural desire” to have children with Holmes, who agreed.

“It’s not even a matter of watching you and your girls, you watching me with mine,” he said. “It’s just really a matter of when you are with [someone], you can’t help but want to create your own unit. And yes, those units sometimes come from other pieces and places coming together, but you can have them.”

Holmes shared that they have discussed adding to their brood, admitting, “We have talked more lately about the idea of even adopting a child, and usually it’s me bringing it up.”

He added, “I need to write-in to my own damn column to get some advice about what to do when the person you’re with — who is maybe at an advanced baby-making age — laughs every time you bring up the possibility of kids.”

Since their romantic relationship was exposed in November 2022, former ABC coworkers Holmes and Robach have continued to stand by each other. Though they were ousted from the network in January 2023 amid the controversy, Holmes and Robach now cohost the “Amy and T.J.” podcast, which launched in 2023.

During the premiere episode, Robach and Holmes denied they had an affair. They were both reportedly separated from their respective spouses, Shue and Fiebig, when they started seeing each other. They didn’t, however, inform ABC — or their families — that they were dating at the time.

“Maybe we screwed up, but in the immediate crisis of it all, and I have it in my phone — still saved as a draft from November 30th, the day this happened — our draft[ed] statements that have never been released,” Holmes said, continuing, “You made a statement about where you were in your marriage. I made a statement about my divorce proceedings, and those statements were never released.”

Robach noted that she “also felt awful” that her family found out about their relationship online.

“We thought we were protecting our children and our families, and we thought we had time,” she said. “And we thought we had a right to privacy. And maybe that was foolish and silly.”

  • Brooklyn Beckham Included In Grandparents’ Stocking Display Amid Drama

As the famous Beckham family prepares to celebrate the Holidays, matriarch Victoria Beckham is offering a glimpse into how the brood is keeping everyone close amid the family’s ongoing drama.

Victoria, 51, shared a sweet snap of her mom, Jackie Adams’, fireplace on Friday, November 28, which was already decorated for Christmas.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted a stocking for her estranged son, Brooklyn Beckham, hanging alongside the stocking for his siblings and, presumably, his cousins and other various family members.

Notably, there did not appear to be a stocking for Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz, but it’s unclear if the family’s holiday tradition includes decorations for spouses and partners.

It was just too much pressure and tension looming over them.” The […]

The photo was shared as the Beckham family continues to navigate its fair share of ups and downs The estrangement reportedly began just before Brooklyn and Peltz’s 2022 wedding, when the bride did not wear a dress designed by Victoria and reportedly left her reception in tears after performer Marc Anthony called Victoria the “most beautiful woman in the room.”

The young couple also skipped David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebration in May 2025, a strong indication that the family is unable to squash the ongoing feud.

“Brooklyn has no interest in mending things at this time,” an insider said while speaking exclusively to Us Weekly in October. “He’s really focused on living a peaceful, drama-free life with Nicola. They’ve built their own world together and are very content in it. They want to let things settle naturally rather than trying to fix something that still feels tense.”

The source also noted that Brooklyn is not speaking to either of his parents or to his siblings, Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20.

“The relationships are all still strained,” the insider said.

The rift makes things more difficult for Victoria and David, the source also said.

“It’s been heartbreaking for Victoria and David to not have all their children together during huge press events for the family, like Victoria’s documentary release,” the source told Us, referencing the October 9 debut of the former Spice Girl’s Netflix series. “It was such a big moment for the family, and she wanted everyone together to celebrate it.”

David is just as upset as Victoria, the insider continued, adding that the famed soccer player “misses how close they all used to be.”

“David and Victoria have always been about family first, so seeing that distance, especially during milestones that mean so much to them, has been incredibly hard,” the source added at the time.

A second source also noted that both Cruz and Romeo have taken perceived shots at Brooklyn via social media.

“There have been ongoing jabs on social media from Cruz and Romeo, and Brooklyn and Nicola are currently blocked by his brothers, leaving no room for reconciliation,” they explained.

Brooklyn made his first public comment about the dispute in September of this year.

“Everyone is always going to say rubbish,” he told the Daily Mail while competing in the Ryder Cup Celebrity All-Star Match. “I just try and do this, play some golf with some friends. It’s good fun.”

  • David Cameron Goes Public With Prostate Cancer Diagnosis

Former U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

During an interview with The Times, published on Sunday, November 23, Cameron, 59, revealed details into the diagnosis which was presented after testing prompted by his wife, Samantha Cameron, earlier this year.

He told the outlet, “You always hope for the best. You have a high PSA score — that’s probably nothing. You have an MRI scan with a few black marks on it. You think, ‘Ah, that’s probably OK.’ But when the biopsy comes back, and it says you have got prostate cancer … you always dread hearing those words. Literally as they’re coming out of the doctor’s mouth, you’re thinking, ‘Oh, no, he’s going to say it. He’s going to say it. Oh God, he said it.’” (A PSA test involves taking a blood sample to screen for prostate cancer, according to Mayo Clinic.)

David, who served as Prime Minister from 2010 to 2016, also noted that he has received focal therapy to treat the cancer. Cleveland Clinic details this localized therapy as a “type of treatment that uses various types of energy (like heat or cold) to destroy cancer cells.”

He told the outlet that his decision to go public with the diagnosis was deeply considered. “I want to, as it were, come out. Let’s be honest. Men are not very good at talking about their health. We tend to put things off.”

David also noted, “I’ve got a platform. This is something we’ve really got to think about, talk about, and if necessary, act on.”

David and Samantha, 54, have welcomed four children together. Their firstborn son, Ivan, suffered from Ohtahara syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy that occurs in infants, according to the Child Neurology Foundation, and died at the age of 6.

I had just become an MP [when Ivan was born]. I remember turning up for debates in the House of Commons completely exhausted because I’ve been in St Mary’s Paddington [hospital] all night.”

He then reflected on the light his family managed to find while navigating his late son’s illness. “I remember this great blessing of having your first child. In spite of all the difficulties he had with the seizures and cerebral palsy and everything – you still remember this beautiful, smiling boy that you would rest on your lap and look after and love,” he told the outlet. “The extraordinary thing about grief is to start with, there’s nothing but black clouds. But after a while, happy memories do break through.”

  • Stefon Diggs’ Paternity Test Proves He Is Father of Model’s Baby

The results of a paternity test reportedly prove that Cardi B’s boyfriend, NFL player Stefon Diggs, is the father of model Aileen Lopera’s baby girl.

“The paternity has been confirmed. Mr. Diggs is the father of the child,” Lopera’s lawyer, Tamar Arminak, told Page Six on Wednesday, November 5. “Now that the child’s paternity has been established and Mr. Diggs has acknowledged his daughter, my client hopes they can work toward being great parents to their child.”

Arminak noted that the case has not been dismissed and “will move forward if the parties are not able to resolve [their issue] themselves.”

Lopera, known as Lord Giselle on Instagram, filed a paternity suit against Diggs, 31, in Los Angeles in December 2024. She requested legal and physical custody of her baby, who was born in April. Lopera named her Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera.

In her filing, Lopera also asked the court to order Diggs to pay child support and cover the expenses related to her pregnancy and legal fees.

In July, the New England Patriots wide receiver responded to the suit. He said he wasn’t certain that he was the father and requested genetic testing. He also asked for joint legal and physical custody of the child if the DNA test proved paternity.

“My client looks forward to the day Mr. Diggs acknowledges and provides for his infant daughter in Los Angeles,” Arminak told Us Weekly in September.

But beyond the trophies and screaming fans, Pete has faced some incredibly tough battles, from the loss of his coach to his wife’s devastating diagnosis. Join HELLO! as we learn all about Pete’s quiet home life with his loving family, and the challenges he overcame to become a tennis god.

    Love match

As soon as Pete laid eyes on Bridgette Wilson in the 1999 comedy Love Stinks, he knew that she was the one. At the time, Pete was recovering from a leg injury that he had sustained at the RCA Championships in Indianapolis. “There was a bright spot to that otherwise terrible late summer – my injury was directly responsible for my wife and me meeting,” he wrote in his 2008 memoir A Champion’s Mind.

“While I was hurt, I was watching this movie, Love Stinks, with a friend, John Black. Bridgette Wilson, an actress in the film, caught my eye. Actually, she blew me away when I saw her. I thought she was stunning.” He then asked John, who was the LA Lakers Vice President of Public Relations at the time, to reach out to her on his behalf. While their first date had its awkward moments, the duo eventually hit it off and wed in 2000 after nine months of dating.

    Family first

The tennis great and the Hollywood star welcomed their eldest son, Christian, in November 2002, and their youngest, Ryan, in July 2005. Bridgette revealed to People that her parenting style greatly differed from that of her husband. “We had to give each other permission to be different as parents,” she told the publication. “That’s why there’s a mom and dad with two different approaches because you do need both.”

The duo both decided to retire in the ’00s despite their relatively young ages and soaring careers, in order to be present in their sons’ lives. “For now, I want to be there when [the boys] wake up, and I want to be there to put them in bed,” Bridgette said. Pete later explained to The New York Times that retiring was the right choice for himself and his family.

“I’m in complete control of what I want to do in my life and that’s a great place to be at 39 years old…I knew when I was retired I could pick and choose what I wanted to do,” he said. “So it really is a nice place to be in life. I can spend a ton of time with my kids, take them out to the park during the week, and most guys are working eight to six.”

    Bridgette’s battle

The family of four was struck by tragedy when Pete revealed in 2023 that Bridgette had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer a year prior. The former athlete shared the news via ATP Tour on X. “As most have come to know, I am a pretty quiet and private person. However, this past year has been an exceptionally challenging time for my family, and I have decided to share what’s been going on,” he began.

“Last December, my wife, Bridgette, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Since then, she has had major surgery, pushed through chemotherapy and continues with targeted maintenance therapy. It is hard to watch someone you love go through a challenge like this,” he continued. “However, seeing our boys step up and be such strong supporters of Bridgette, myself and each other has been amazing. Watching Bridgette continue to be an incredible mom and wife through it all has been inspiring.”

“I have also learned that it is very hard to reach for support when something is simply too hard to talk about. With that said, I will end this by humbly asking for good thoughts and prayers for our family as Bridgette continues to thrive on her healing journey. Thank you,” he concluded.

    Breaking point

Pete overcame a major challenge at the height of his career when his longtime coach, Tim Gullikson, was shockingly diagnosed with brain cancer. One of the tennis legend’s most vulnerable moments came during the quarterfinal against Jim Courier at the Australian Open in 1995, when he began to cry and took a moment to collect himself on the sidelines. The star’s coach had collapsed in the locker room ahead of the tournament and subsequently learned of his diagnosis, before he was flown back to the US.

“I think people understand that I’m normal, I have feelings like everyone else,” he later told the LA Times of the emotional moment. “I’m not a robot out there. I’m as normal as the guy across the street, and I think that’s what people have to realize: when they see tennis players, we’re not above everyone; we do the same things everyone else does.” Tim passed away a year later.

  • Danny Masterson and Bijou Phillips’ Relationship Timeline

Danny Masterson and Bijou Phillips wed in 2011 after meeting at a celebrity poker tournament two years prior.

In March 2017, Masterson — who welcomed daughter Fianna with Phillips in 2014 — was accused of sexual assault in the early 2000s by multiple women. As a result, he was written off from Netflix’s The Ranch. He denied the claims at the time.

Masterson, who is a member of the Church of Scientology, was later arrested and charged on three counts of rape in June 2020. After being released on a $3.3 million bail, he pleaded not guilty to all charges.

“Bijou has been a total rock,” a source exclusively told Us in January 2022 before Masterson’s criminal trial began that August. “She fully supports him and says they’ll get through this nightmare together and come out stronger.”

The court proceedings concluded the following November, resulting in a mistrial after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict. Masterson’s retrial began in April 2023 — and he was found guilty the following month. He was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison that September, with Phillips reportedly in attendance.

Less than two weeks after Masterson’s sentencing, Phillips filed for divorce following more than 10 years of marriage.

  • Jeremy Allen White Makes Rare Comment About Fatherhood

Jeremy Allen White opened up about how he handles being an in-demand Hollywood actor while raising his two daughters.

The two-time Emmy Award-winning star of The Bear shares daughters Ezer Billie, 6, and Dolores Wild, 4, with his ex-wife, Addison Timlin. (The couple separated in 2023 after three years of marriage and Timlin filed for divorce in May of that year.)

White’s most recent high-profile role was playing legendary rocker Bruce Springsteen in the biopic Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, which chronicles the musician’s battles with his record label while making the landmark 1982 album Nebraska. (The Scott Cooper-directed movie is based on author Warren Zanes’ 2023 book Deliver Me from Nowhere and also features a leading performance from Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s manager, Jon Landau.)

Speaking to London’s The Times, White, 34, admitted that the demands of playing Springsteen took its toll on every facet of his life — including fatherhood.

“I feel like I’m ‘pain for hire,’” he joked. “Like I’m getting paid to put myself in painful places. On The Bear, it’s not like I walk around punching walls and screaming in my closet. But I stay close to that energy and it’s uncomfortable — and filming the Bruce movie was incredibly difficult. I was in isolation. I was far from my children. I didn’t travel home much. It made me unwell and when I came out of it I thought, ‘There has to be a better way.’”

Jeremy Allen White’s dating life has seen some ups and downs since he split from wife Addison Timlin in 2023. While the duo met while filming 2008’s Afterschool, it took a few years before anything romantic between them developed. Timlin first hinted at her and White’s relationship, revealing that things took “a hard right turn […]

White admitted to facing more “scrutiny [with] something going on in my personal life that has been of interest” since The Bear became successful, though he’s tried to keep life with his children as grounded as possible.

“After a while, people will stop following you once they realise that all you do is pick up your kids from school and come home. My life — my normal life — is very simple,” he insisted.

White likened his daily routine to any other parent when he’s not on a Hollywood film set.

“Like today. I made breakfast for my daughters, took them to school and later I will pick them up and make dinner,” he explained.

White joked that, unlike the accomplished chef he plays on The Bear, he only has “seven dinner dishes I do well, and three my children enjoy.”

“You do the prep, then they take a bite and just ask for chicken nuggets,” he teased.

White has traditionally been reluctant to discuss his private life, though he did make a rare comment about the breakdown of his marriage to Timlin, 34, after she filed for divorce in 2023. He told British GQ that 2023 was an “insane” year with “a lot of high highs [and] a lot of terribly low lows.”

“With everything going on in my personal life, I thought, ‘OK, let’s just pump the brakes in general, and maybe you don’t work for a while,’” he explained in November 2023. “I made this choice to not work for the rest of the year and just be with my daughters and just slow it all down.”

White briefly entered into a relationship with Rosalía following his divorce from Timlin, before splitting with the Spanish singer, 33, in mid-2024. Still, the actor showed his respect for Rosalía in an October interview when he was asked to name his favorite Spanish music artist.

Kristen Bell is celebrating her 12th wedding anniversary by sharing one of her husband Dax Shepard’s more, uh, unusual promises.

“Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: ‘I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I’m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would.’ ❤️,” Bell, 45, posted via Instagram on Friday, October 17, along with a photo of the pair embracing on the edge of a bed.

The pair, who were first linked in 2007 after connecting at a dinner party for Shauna Robertson, the producer of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, got engaged in 2010. “I just wish I butterflied around a little bit more,” Bell added at the time.

While reflecting on the pair’s marriage in another September 2025 conversation with Alicia Silverstone, Shepard said he’d only look at his union with Bell as positive — even if the duo decided in the future to call it quits.

We had these two beautiful children. We had this great time together.”

The pair have also been honest about challenges they’ve faced over the years. In a 2019 interview with People, Shepard noted that his marriage has been “work.”

“We definitely had to work really hard at being a couple because we’re both incredibly, painfully stubborn, and we’re pretty much opposites,” Shepard told the outlet at the time. “I was like, ‘That’s the best personality I’ve ever seen on a woman. I need to be around it. I want to be around it when I’m 80, but how?’”

Bell shared similar thoughts while speaking to E! in 2024.

  • James Van Der Beek Shares Parenting Struggles During Cancer

James Van Der Beek revealed his biggest parenting regret amid his cancer battle as she shared a new reflective social media post.

The actor celebrated his son Jeremiah in a tribute post uploaded via Instagram on Friday, October 10 to mark the child’s 4th birthday, while apologizing for not being a better father amid his health struggles.

“4 years old today. After 2 late-term losses, we thought we were done. Thank God you knew better,” James, 48, wrote alongside a carousel of photos of Jeremiah, including one where the child was perched atop the actor’s shoulders.

James paid tribute to Jeremiah’s lively personality in the heartfelt post.

“An iron will combined with an innate sweetness. And ALL boy. And as you run around and scream and bang things… all I can think about is how grateful I am that you came to us,” he wrote. “You’ve been particular from the jump. And as your language skills have finally caught up the specificity of your desires, what I’m seeing is a fun-loving, passionate soul who doesn’t think twice about speaking up for exactly what he wants. And for that example, I thank you.”

Continuing the post, the Dawson’s Creek alum then shared that he felt he hasn’t lived up to the standard of father that he believed his son deserved.

“I’m sorry there have been spells where I couldn’t be the father I would want to be for you… where I was too weak to pick you up, throw you around, or even put you to bed… but know that watching you reveal yourself to us has been one of the greatest joys of my life,” he added. “And even though you’re stingy with the hugs… when you do decide to wrap those thick little arms around my neck, it’s like time has stood still and all is right with the world.”

James concluded, “I love you, bubba. And I always will. And all you ever have to do is be you. Happy birthday, my ‘big little boy.’ ❤️”

Katie Holmes, who costarred alongside James in Dawson’s Creek in the 90s, reacted in the comments.

“Sooooooo sweet!!!!!!!” the actress, 46, wrote.

Jeremiah is the youngest of six kids who James shares with his wife Kimberly. The couple also share Olivia, 15, Joshua, 13, Annabel, 11, Emilia, 8 and Gwendolyn, 6. James and Kimberly have also been open in the past about suffering pregnancy losses in November 2019 and June 2020, which James referenced in the post.

“I hope it’s a girl. I really do. We’re praying for a girl,” Rocky told Elle in a profile published in September. “Our first time, we wanted to know the sex of the baby. The second time, we didn’t want to know. Third time, we don’t want to know until, you know.”

He added, “I feel like it’s going to be a girl. This pregnancy is so different from the other two. You can tell from the experience. I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.”

Meanwhile, Rihanna has previously praised Rocky for his parenting skills in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in February.

The “Umbrella” singer told the outlet that the “greatest thing” about her partner “is seeing him be a dad.”

She joked her only frustration with Rocky when he is performing dad duties is how much the couple’s sons adore him.

“I’m annoyed because my sons sometimes just live for him more than they live for me,” she said. “And I’m like, ‘Did you know who cooked you? Do you know who pushed you out?’ And they love him, but when I see it, oh, it’s the best.”

Rihanna has also spoken candidly about how being a parent has transformed her life.

“It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before, that’s the craziest thing ever,” she told British Vogue in 2023. “You literally try to remember it — and there are photos of my life before — but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far, because … it doesn’t matter.”

For his part, Rocky has been outspoken with praise for Rihanna and complimented her for the positive effect she’s had on his life.

“[The relationship] is going great,” the “Purple Swag” singer said. “I don’t think there’s a more perfect person because when the schedules are hectic, she’s very understanding of that. And when the schedule’s freed up, that’s when you get to spend [the] most time together. It’s all understanding and compatibility.”

Rocky echoed the sentiment in an interview with GQ in 2021 when he referred to the star as “The One.”

“So much better when you got The One,” he gushed to the outlet. “She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. … I think when you know, you know. She’s The One.”
