  • What To Know For Leo Season 2023, According To Astrologers

What To Know For Leo Season 2023, According To Astrologers

    [ad_1]

Every zodiac season will feature a full moon that marks the culmination of a six-month lunar cycle. In this case, we’re talking about the lunar cycle that began on the Aquarius new moon back in January.

On August 1 under the full moon, think back to six months ago, keeping in mind Aquarius themes like humanitarianism, innovation, social groups, and eccentricity. How can you tap into those qualities under this moon? And perhaps more importantly, what do you need to release to allow your inner Aquarian to come out to play?

This is also a great full moon to hang out with your social circles, do some volunteer work, or even brainstorm groundbreaking ideas.

  • What Do The North & South Nodes In Aries & Libra Mean For Us?

What Do The North & South Nodes In Aries & Libra Mean For Us?

    [ad_1]

The nodes are always in opposite signs, and as of July 17, 2023, they’re fresh off the Taurus-Scorpio axis and ready to roll on the Aries-Libra axis until January 2025.

When we think about the opposing natures of the signs, it makes sense that one half (the North Node) is what you’re currently working on, and the other half (the South Node) is what you already know. And in this case, the Aries and Libra opposition is all about the self versus relationships.

Over the next 18 months, the twins explain, we’ll be assessing whether our relationships support our own personal growth—or if we’re focusing too much on trying to make other people happy. “The balance between ‘mine’ and ‘ours’ hits a critical tipping point as the lunar nodes shift into Aries (North Node) and Libra (South Node) until January 11, 2025,” the write for mindbodygreen.

As such, they suggest taking inventory of your inner circle and cutting ties with any energy vampires. “But note that the real evolution comes from owning the role you’ve been playing in any lopsided dynamics,” they add.

Generally speaking, Aries is a sign that revels in its individuality and brazen spirit. They have no problem asking for forgiveness instead of permission, and the twins say we could all feel new levels of confidence and leadership inspired by this Aries North Node.

“Simultaneously,” they note, “the Libra South Node delivers a scathing review of any unproductive relationship habits, such as people-pleasing, stonewalling, or trauma bonding.”

So the name of the game over the next 18 months, then, is to strike that balance between independence and camaraderie. “This important cycle hasn’t come around for nearly two decades,” the twins add, “helping us all unlock the fine art of diplomatic negotiation.”

  • How To Lean Into This Weekend’s Cozy New Moon In Cancer

How To Lean Into This Weekend’s Cozy New Moon In Cancer

    [ad_1]

This month’s new moon in Cancer arrives on July 17 at 2:32 pm EST, and according to astrology expert Imani Quinn, we’ll all be feeling the Cancerian energy.

As a water sign, she explains, Cancer is sensitive, intuitive, and deeply loyal to their loved ones. And Cancer season itself, she adds, also marks the halfway point of the calendar year and the fertile energy of midsummer.

“So this is a great time to tap into two different aspects of cancer energy: One—because they’re very loyal to their family, friends, and their community—you can be really intentional about who you’re spending time with and making sure you’re cultivating trust and love within the relationships that matter to you,” Quinn says.

And two, she adds, this Cancer new moon can also serve as a chance to refresh your home (including the inner home you feel within yourself). “Cancers are very homey, so this new moon is giving us time to face ourselves, to look and address the parts of ourselves that make us uncomfortable that need to be seen—and they can be seen in the safety of our home,” she explains.

Not to mention, each new moon begins the start of a 6-month lunar cycle, and in this case, we’re looking at the six months between now and the full moon in Cancer on December 26. Quinn notes that this new moon can help us dig deeper into the emotional side of what we want to manifest over the next 6 months, helping to process your emotions to understand the root of how you’re actually feelings.

And of course, you could literally refresh your home under this moon, too. As the AstroTwins recently wrote for mindbodygreen, you might feel inspired to remodel or redecorate, or even move house altogether. “La luna’s opposition to shadowy Pluto and a harmonious trine to spiritual Neptune sets the stage for feng shui, a deep decluttering, or a house-blessing ritual,” they say.

Speaking of rituals, here’s how Quinn and the twins recommend spending your new moon weekend.

  • Weekly Horoscope For July 17-23, 2023, From The AstroTwins

Weekly Horoscope For July 17-23, 2023, From The AstroTwins

    [ad_1]

All the world’s a catwalk as the Sun struts into glamorous Leo this Saturday for its yearly four-week show. This annual solar cycle is high season for all things glamorous, romantic and creative. Does your name belong in lights? Or maybe a history book or the hall of fame? Visualize it, then start positioning your personal “brand” for that ascent.

Need some inspiration? Do some competitive research analysis. What are the ballers in your industry doing? How would YOU put your own unique spin on this? If you have a finished product to promote, put a final coat of high-gloss polish on it, then, schedule your big reveal!

There’s only one catch: Venus turns retrograde in Leo on Saturday, too, backing up through the lion’s den until September 3. During this cycle, the planet of love, beauty and romance shifts from being an “evening star” (appearing at dusk) to a “morning star” (glimmering in the sky just before dawn).

Metaphorically, this is a key time to assess your love life and think about what issues you’d like to put to bed. Maybe it’s time to say “ni-night” to a habit of dating financially draining users or coddling your messy spouse instead of insisting they help clean up.

Since retrogrades bring back the past, don’t be surprised if an ex resurfaces out of the blue. A problem you thought was resolved in a relationship could flare up again. Obsessing over you-know-who? During this befuddling backspin, you could waste hours trying to strategize your next best move. Instead of fanning the flames, reach out to get the right help and support.

Thankfully, Venus only turns retrograde every 18 months—and it doesn’t have to dump rain on your summer lovin’ parade! Nostalgia is the magic elixir. Do things that revive a bygone era, like revisiting a place you haven’t been to since the honeymoon phase.

Enough with the swagger! The proof is in the pudding for the next seven weeks as make-it-happen Mars leaves Leo’s den and checks its ego at Virgo’s door.

We’ve all made a few bold promises while Mars toured Leo since May 20. But how many of these passionate proclamations can we actually back up? (And, uh, do we even WANT to, in reality?) This Monday, July 10, brings a simpler, saner and more serene cycle.

With Mars in humble Virgo until August 27, random acts of kindness and selfless service will win the medal of honor. Extreme cleaning, anyone? (And please use environmentally friendly products.) These earthy, orderly Virgo vibes get us obsessed with systematizing and simplifying. Feel free to color-code your bookshelves and purge anything processed from your fridge.

Mars in Virgo could also get us mad for all things wellness related—just be careful not to hop on the latest fad because spending $20 for a gemstone-infused, activated-charcoal healing tonic miiiiiiight not be worth the coin. Or just make it your damn self during this DIY-fueled Mars cycle!

And not only are you surrounded by community, but that community is expanding as well, according to Quinn.

“The fruits of labor of the friendships you’ve been putting your time into are the ones that are really going to be flourishing for you right now,” Quinn says, adding that it’s also important for you to lean on your friends, too. “If you need help in working through some of your long term goals, your friends are ready to show up for you, and that’s what’s most important for you at this time,” she notes.

  • The Astrology Behind July’s Full Super Moon In Capricorn

The Astrology Behind July’s Full Super Moon In Capricorn

    [ad_1]

The full moon arrives this Monday, July 3 at 7:39 a.m. EST in the sign of stern and serious Capricorn. As astrology expert Imani Quinn tells mindbodygreen, Capricorn is all about longterm goals, while July’s full moon is also known as the “Buck Moon.”

It’s named as such because around this time of year, male deer’s antlers reach their full growth, Quinn explains, adding this parallel speaks to the energy of this full moon as well. “It’s a reminder of what’s coming into full maturity in your life right now. Capricorn is success-oriented and focused on hard work, so you’re paying attention to what you’ve been putting effort into—and what has culminated,” she says.

Meanwhile, of course, we are still the midst of Cancer season, the opposite sign of Capricorn. As Quinn explains, these opposing energies have us residing in both our heads and our hearts. And according to her, it offers us an opportunity to make sure both of them are aligning.

“Since the full moon is about letting go and releasing what doesn’t serve us, what do you find within the head and heart that aren’t aligning? And what is being asked to let go?” she suggests asking yourself.

With this Cancer-Capricorn complementation underway, she adds, nurturing yourself will be of utmost importance. “Stay the course on your vision and don’t lose sight of your purpose, and [remember] you also need your love the most,” Quinn explains.

Queue up your Calm app and blow the dust off your dream journal. With Neptune starting its annual retrograde, you’ll be pushed deeper into the waters of your subconscious.

The oceanic planet, which is sailing through its home sign of Pisces until March 2025, will demand extra contemplation and reflection until it corrects course on December 6. But this backspin can actually roll back the fog of denial, distraction and delusion and help you process a stuck situation for once and for all.

With the muse hovering in the background, use this time to revisit unfinished creative projects or heal another layer of emotional trauma.

While your open mind and receptive energy are great for self-discovery, they can also make you more susceptible to absorbing toxic energy or attracting untrustworthy people. Be sure to shield your field from energy vampires with an extra layer of protection, like healthy boundaries, crystals, salt baths and therapy.

  • What To Know For Cancer Season 2023, According To Astrologers

What To Know For Cancer Season 2023, According To Astrologers

    [ad_1]

Neptune has been in Pisces for quite some time (over 10 years in fact), and goes retrograde once a year for roughly five months. This year, it’s going retrograde on June 30 until December 6, highlighting themes around dreams, illusion, and spirituality.

And considering it’s in the sign of Pisces, which Neptune already rules, confusion could be strong—whether you’re feeling illusory about your job, your relationship, or your living situation, for example.

But when it goes retrograde, those illusions are presented to us at center stage. Newfound clarity and insights might start coming in as Neptune backspins, so pay attention to your intuition throughout this sensitive season. And as astrology expert Imani Quinn recently told mindbodygreen, you’ll also want to “allow yourself to make mistakes, learn from them, and keep your boundaries in place when it feels necessary.”

  • Venus In Aries: How They Approach Life, Love & More, From Experts

Venus In Aries: How They Approach Life, Love & More, From Experts

    [ad_1]

When it comes to dating, Venus in Aries people have to “accept who they are, and not conform to others’ views of how courting should play out,” according to Pelinku. “In other words,” she says, “if they like someone and wait for the other to make the first move, it will lead to delays and repressed anger for this Venus sign.”

The twins echo this point, noting that patience is not a virtue for those with Venus in Aries. “A lover who drags out the courtship process will likely get a taste of your extreme ghosting powers,” they explain, adding, “While your book of love may be filled with steamy and half-finished chapters, at least it won’t be boring.”

This is a placement that fairs best when they’re the ones to pursue and take initiative, because it boosts their confidence, Pelinku explains. “In their established relationships, they desire movement and results. If they have a list of goals to fulfill with their love partner, they will want to see it completed. If not, that’s where the anger stirs,” she adds.

And according to the twins, these fiery and passionate lovers won’t settle for less than an all-encompassing attraction. Love at first sight is a very real thing for these people—but the problem is that it can happen multiple times. “You’ve probably fallen head over heels in a nanosecond more than once. If the click is there, you’ll jump right in, [so] pacing yourself is an art form to learn,” they add.

In terms of compatibility, it’s always a good idea to check out a full astrological compatibility chart (aka synastry chart) to get the big picture, but Aries Venuses would likely do well with other fire Venuses (Leo, Sagittarius, or another Aries), as well as air sign Venuses (Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius).

Overall, if you’re dating someone with an Aries Venus, you’re in for an adventure that’s filled with spontaneous trips, passion-filled nights, and constant movement, Pelinku says. And if you’re the one with the Aries Venus, “Just try not to write people off so quickly that they don’t have a fair shake,” the twins suggest.

Venus in Leo drapes the cosmic catwalk in eye-popping colors and sexy, sequined sizzle. Colossal courtships are on Cupid’s menu—and not just for a night or two. The love planet lounges in Leo for an extra-long, four-month showcase (until October 8) instead of the usual four weeks.

The reason for this extended visit, however, might not be your favorite announcement. But here goes: From July 22 to September 3, Venus will be retrograde, a disruptive cycle that comes around every 18 months.

  • Libra & Cancer Compatibility: Love, Friendship & More

Libra & Cancer Compatibility: Love, Friendship & More

    [ad_1]

Libra is ruled by Venus, the planet of love, which will harmonize beautifully with Cancer’s moon-ruled, ever-changing moods. This makes them feel emotionally secure in a way that they desperately need—Venus prefers to attract, and the moon enjoys reflecting.

Cancer will intuitively make feel Libra wanted, and Libra will find the waxing and waning of Cancer’s vibrations enticing. These two planets both tap into feminine energy, which makes this pair’s exchanges filled with gentleness, sentiment, intuitiveness, and romance.

While there is much loveliness to be shared between them, there will be challenges regarding their shared Cardinal modality, which puts them in a square aspect.

In my book, Sun Signs in Love, I explain that the square aspect happens when you are three signs away from your significant other, which creates a tricky, competitive, and vigorous atmosphere. The feel of this relationship usually leaves one or both partners requiring more from the other, and they’ll both need to be very conscientious not to unload their negativity on each other and create friction. There is so much to learn from this aspect, but it must be done in a supportive and constructive manner.

While square pairs are faced with a challenging aspect, they also share something that is the same, which is their modality. Modality by definition means, “a particular mode in which something exists or is experienced or expressed.” In Cancer and Libra’s case, they both express themselves in the Cardinal modality.

Cardinal signs are the natural born leaders of the zodiac. They are both self-starters and tend to give out a lot of energy by being assertive and influential. This can have them both wanting to take charge, but the way in which both of them do this is gentle, which can really make this a benefit more than a hindrance.

The trickiest part of combining this pair is their element. Libra is a freedom loving air sign, while Cancer is a deeply concentrated water sign. Air stirs, turns, and can cause waves in the water, but then quickly moves away giving the water no control. When water penetrates the air, it creates moisture and ignites the process of creating rain, which is needed for life and rebirth in which air has no control over.

There is no choice or control over these things occurring in either of the elements, so it is better if water and air signs appreciate one another’s differences and individual energy. This boils down to the fact that there will need to be a lot of understanding and appreciation for one another’s differences, otherwise the lack of the ability to completely blend will be the caveat to this great love story.

  • What To Know For Gemini Season 2023, From An Astrologer

What To Know For Gemini Season 2023, From An Astrologer

    [ad_1]

This year’s Gemini season kicks off with the ball rolling fast, according to Christopher Renstrom, astrologer and author of Rise and Shine: An Astrological Guide to How You Show Up in the World. As he tells mindbodygreen, the same day the season begins on June 21, we also have the sun forming a flowing trine with Pluto in Aquarius.

“So it’s like a shot out of the cannon—but no sooner does it get rolling than it’s brought to stop by a sun-Saturn square on June 28,” he explains, noting that this will have us (especially you, air signs) feeling like we were on a roll only to come up against some roadblocks.

But then, as a full moon in Sagittarius graces skies on June 5, we’ll feel a “reassertion” of sorts, Renstrom says. “The full moon squares Saturn, but then it trines Mars—so the full moon is almost like, ‘We’re gonna do it anyway and we just found a way to do it,’” he adds.

On the same day as the full moon, Venus also enters fiery and dramatic Leo, where it will stay until October 8. Between Leo’s influence and Gemini’s flirty air, we’re all going to want to have some fun in the sun and romantic sparks are likely to fly.

Renstrom describes Venus as “smoothing the ruffled feathers” we might have felt during the weeks leading up to this transit, just keep in mind that the love planet will be going retrograde in July. “Just because she smooths out the ruffled feathers doesn’t mean they’re gonna stay that way,” he adds.

And speaking of retrogrades, two other backspins to keep your eye out for include Pluto re-entering Capricorn in its retrograde journey on June 11, as well as Saturn turning retrograde in Pisces on June 17 (the same day as the new moon in Gemini).

But have no fear—retrogrades don’t have to be a bad thing, and can offer us the perfect opportunity to take a step back and reflect before charting forward.

“What’s kind of nice about these oppositional energies is that they’re rethinking their positions,” Renstrom says, which will have all of us rethinking our own positions, too. “When you’ve got planets turned retrograde like this—definitely Pluto going back into Capricorn—it’s going to be a strong revisit for things we felt we were done with,” he adds.

  • Mars In Scorpio: What This Astrological Placement Really Means

Mars In Scorpio: What This Astrological Placement Really Means

    [ad_1]

Nowadays, Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, but back in the Hellenistic astrology days, it was actually ruled by Mars. That said, Mars feels right at home in Scorpio, and it makes sense—Scorpio is the sign that rules sex, and Mars is definitely a passionate planet.

Then take Pluto, the planet of transformation and rebirth, and we start to get a clear picture on how having a Scorpio Mars results in intensity and unmatched depth.

As astrologer Desiree Roby Antila previously told mindbodygreen, folks with Mars in Scorpio are relentless, with an ability to get through, around, over, and under any obstacle. “They have a really strong drive, but again, they’re fixed, so whenever Mars is in a fixed sign, it tends to make the person pretty stubborn,” she notes.

This can look like having a hard time letting things go, holding grudges, being vengeful, etc., which is telltale Scorpio energy. They also have a tendency to push themselves to the point of burnout, which is something to watch out for.

And according to astrologer Molly Pennington, Ph.D., a Scorpio Mars placement will likely fly under the radar with an air of mystery. “People might just walk up to them not knowing that they’re dealing with a Scorpion—and it’s about to sting,” she explains.

This is all part of the Scorpio Mars strategy of protecting and guarding itself against vulnerability. “They have this deep, emotional side, almost like wars of the heart that are deep down underneath it all,” Pennington says, adding that those wars are often long lasting, and they bring a “battlefield” mindset into all areas of their life.

Take Taylor Swift as a classic example of Scorpio Mars energy. She has a Scorpio Mars, and her insistence on rerecording all of her music to get the rights under her own name is a prime example of this placement’s willingness to win at any cost.

  • Taurus Rising: What To Know About This Rising Sign In Life & Love

Taurus Rising: What To Know About This Rising Sign In Life & Love

    [ad_1]

When it comes to their love lives, Taurus risings aren’t one for games or drama. In fact, Renstrom tells mindbodygreen, “Nothing turns a Taurus rising off faster than drama,” and while they’re not typically a skeptical bunch, they will have no problem cutting you off if you encroach on their comfort.

These people also tend to be very attractive, but they don’t know it. (Or if they do know it, they’re humble about it.) Again, Taurus risings have a gentle and comforting nature that makes them feel very safe to be around, Renstrom explains.

In terms of how they show love, he notes the instinct to provide and to shelter is very strong for these folks. “And they want to be recognized and appreciated for that,” he adds.

Further, they will likely show they care by doing something like cooking for you, buying tickets to a concert, covering the tab at dinner, or of course, physical touch. (That’s their earthy energy for you.)

If you want to woo them, it certainly won’t hurt if you put yourself together—being Venus-ruled means Taurus risings love pretty things. They’re also culture-vultures, and will always be down to check out the new, hip spot in town, whether a new restaurant or gallery opening.

For most Taurus risings, their fifth house of romance will be ruled by Virgo, a sign of service, dedication, and organization. Their seventh house of long-term partnerships, on the other hand, is ruled by Scorpio, a fixed sign that’s all about transformation, mystery, and emotional depth.

That said, they tend to be most compatible with Scorpio risings, as well as other the earth signs (Virgo, Capricorn, or another Taurus rising). But in order to get a full rundown of relationship compatibility, be sure to check out a synastry chart!

  • The Astrology Behind May’s Full Moon Lunar Eclipse In Scorpio

The Astrology Behind May’s Full Moon Lunar Eclipse In Scorpio

    [ad_1]

This month’s full moon will be at its fullest around 1:30 pm EDT on Friday, May 5. The lunar eclipse will begin at 11:15 am EDT, peak at 1:24 pm, and end at 3:32 pm, during which the moon will be partially darkened as it moves through the Earth’s shadow. However, this eclipse event will only be visible in places where the moon is above the horizon—so not here in the U.S.

But even if we can’t see it here in the states, its energy will still be palpable. If you recall just two weeks ago, we had a new moon solar eclipse in Aries, which began a two-week cycle of transformation that is now about to come to a close.

As astrology expert Imani Quinn tells mindbodygreen, eclipses are a time of rapid, unexpected change, and this eclipse lands in the sign of Scorpio—a sign all about transformation and digging deep into what lurks in the shadows.

“So we see a lot of destined, fated events happen that are bringing us into alignment on our path [during eclipses],” Quinn explains, adding, “It’s not really a good time to try to make things happen for yourself. It’s best to witness, process, and surrender to the natural flow that’s taking place.”

And speaking of not forcing things, remember we are still in a Mercury retrograde period until May 14, which gives us even more reason to slow down before we take action. As Quinn says, Mercury retrograde doesn’t necessarily have to make anything worse, but it does offer us a chance to reflect and have things revealed to us in the midst of all this eclipse energy.

Now, this lunar eclipse portal “will be ending with the full moon in Scorpio, which is making for big emotional breakthroughs,” she notes. “It will create a deeper unearthing of shadow work through Scorpio, and things within the subconscious that want to be seen. So really prepare for an awakening week on a very deep level,” Quinn advises.
