The Howl-O-Sprint 5K run returns to SeaWorld Orlando for its second year, bringing thrills, scares and high-energy fun to the park after dark.

Runners will dash past haunted roller coasters and through scare zones as they race to the finish line, dodging spooky surprises along the way. The event happens Thursday, Oct. 2, at 8 p.m., with an awards ceremony scheduled for 9:30 p.m.

Survivors will be rewarded with an exclusive post-race party featuring food, drinks, live entertainment and a chance to explore one of this year’s new haunted houses. Participants can also snag photos with Havoc, the event’s mascot.

Every runner receives free parking, a commemorative T-shirt, and a custom finisher’s medal. The top three finishers will win gift cards to the Howl-O-Scream gift shop.

Entry to SeaWorld Orlando’s Howl-O-Scream (on now through Nov. 1)  event and kid-friendly Spooktacular (on now through Nov. 2) is not included with race registration.

Registration is open now for thrill-seekers ready to take on the challenge.
