“Enola Holmes 3” Is Reportedly In Progress — Here’s What We Know

    [ad_1]

Millie Bobby Brown dazzled fans everywhere with her performance in “Enola Holmes 2,” which premiered on Netflix on Nov. 4, 2022. Still, the movie left fans with one major question: will there be an “Enola Holmes 3”? It seems like the odds are pretty good, because on Nov. 7, Collider reported that a screenplay for a third installment was in the works.

The news came via an interview with the head of Netflix Film, Scott Stuber, who also praised Brown’s performance. “You know, she’s such a great homegrown star for us,” he told Collider of Brown. “I mean, obviously, ‘Stranger Things’ is huge for us in that, and watching her grow as an actress . . .” He also hinted at a possible third Enola Holmes movie. “The Holmes IP is weirdly elastic. Obviously, Warner Bros. did an incredible job with Downey and Jude Law, so this idea that we can extend that IP with her is exciting,” he said, referring to Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law’s “Sherlock Holmes.” “So, we’re working once again on a screenplay to try to get that. But yes, aspiration,” he continued. “I’d like to do another one.”

The Enola Holmes movies are based on The Enola Holmes Mysteries, a series of seven books written by Nancy Springer. The original six books were published between 2007 and 2010, with a seventh book released in 2021. The first Enola Holmes movie, which debuted in 2020, along with the second, adapt parts of the first two books in the series, “The Case of the Missing Marquess” and “The Case of the Left-Handed Lady.” “The Case of the Bizarre Bouquets” is the third book in the series. That means there’s lots of material to adapt for future movies, and Brown said she’s definitely interested in doing more.

In an interview with ScreenRant published in November 2022, she said, “I would love to be a part of another one.” Brown explained, “I would love to see [Enola] do more cases, be put under pressure, be put in crazy situations, make her feel vulnerable again. I absolutely love seeing her back at work.”

The most mysterious part of another Enola Holmes movie is whether Henry Cavill would return as Sherlock Holmes, Enola’s older brother. In 2022, the actor announced that he was leaving his lead role in Netflix’s “The Witcher” after season three dropped in June 2023. It’s not clear if Cavill leaving “The Witcher” means he won’t appear in any more Netflix projects, or if he’ll be open to appearing in any more Enola Holmes films. “The Witcher” replaced Cavill with Liam Hemsworth, so if it did come to that, Netflix might choose to recast Cavill in the Enola Holmes film series, too.

We’re still waiting for “Enola Holmes 3” to get the official green light, but we’re optimistic it’ll happen soon.

“Vanderpump Rules” Returns This Winter: What to Know About Season 11

    [ad_1]

The last time we caught up with the cast of “Vanderpump Rules,” things were a mess. During the season 10 reunion in May, things came to a head between Ariana Madix, her ex Tom Sandoval, and Raquel Leviss, the latter two of whom had been secretly having an affair together for months right under Madix’s nose. The truth was initially revealed in March, after season 10 had finished filming, but cameras booted back up to catch the drama. The rest of the cast — including Scheana Shay, Katie Maloney, Lala Kent, and James Kennedy — were equally up in arms about the betrayal as it reverberated through their friend group. On Nov. 3 at BravoCon, Bravo released a teaser trailer for season 11 — which will premiere this January — and the drama picks up right where we left off, even though Leviss isn’t back for the new episodes.

The trailer features a more sober version of the show’s iconic theme song, and it shows some really intense fights between Madix and Sandoval, who still live together in the home they purchased. Lisa Vanderpump seems to try to build some sympathy for Sandoval, but will that ever be possible? We’ll have to wait and find out.

As for the cast, we do have some idea of what they’ve been up to since the reunion. Sandoval and Leviss have seemingly split for good, and Madix has moved on with a new romance herself. Madix is also tearing up the dance floor this fall on “Dancing With the Stars.” Meanwhile, Tom Schwartz appeared on Fox’s “Stars on Mars,” and Sandoval took a short trip to “The Masked Singer.”

Ahead, here’s everything we know about “Vanderpump Rules” season 11 so far.

Every Taylor Swift “From the Vault” Song, Ranked

    [ad_1]

Taylor Swift’s rerecorded albums, called “Taylor’s Version” albums, have each contained a beautiful, unexpected gift — songs from the “vault.” A vault song is a song that Swift originally wrote during the time when she was working on the album but, for one reason or another, didn’t make it to the final track list. Some were deemed wrong for the album by her then-record label. Some, she admits, her creative team couldn’t figure out the production on. Some were just considered too long.

Swift has released four rerecorded albums so far: “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” and “Red (Taylor’s Version)” in 2021, and “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” and “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” in 2023. The release dates for “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” and “Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version)” remain mysterious for now. Between the four albums we have, Swift has released 26 songs designated as “From the Vault.”

Ahead, I rounded up every vault track from all four “Taylor’s Version” albums and ranked them. And if your favorite is lower on the list than you’d like, please know it was a very hard task, because even the ones at the bottom are still pretty good. There’s no song that’s obviously terrible — just some that clearly stand out as the best. Ahead, here’s POPSUGAR’s ranking of every Swift vault song.

World War II Comes to Life in the Terrifying Trailer For Netflix’s “All the Light We Cannot See”

    [ad_1]

Netflix’s “All the Light We Cannot See,” based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Anthony Doerr, is heading to the streamer this fall. On April 18, Netflix released a teaser trailer, which announced the new miniseries‘s November release date, as well as first-look images. The series stars newcomer Aria Mia Loberti as Marie-Laure LeBlanc, a blind girl living in Paris with her father, Daniel, played by Mark Ruffalo. During WWII, the pair must flee Paris with a valuable diamond they don’t want to fall into Nazi hands. They land at the house of Marie-Laure’s great uncle Etienne (played by Hugh Laurie) in Saint-Malo, where they try to evade the Nazis.

Marie-Laure’s story starts to intersect with that of Werner (Louis Hofmann), a German teen who’s ordered to use his radio skills to find illegal broadcasts so the Nazis can stop them. Marie-Laure and Werner’s stories come to an explosive end with tragic consequences for both. Netflix released the full trailer for the TV adaptation on Oct. 3, and it dives into Marie-Laure and Werner’s stories and how the radio ultimately brings them together in a time of darkness and despair.

Doerr’s novel was published in 2014 and became a critical and commercial success. It was on the New York Times bestseller list for 200 weeks and won the Pulitzer Prize For Fiction in 2015. Filming of the miniseries took place in 2022 in Budapest and France, including the real Saint-Malo.

  • What We Know About “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” — Including the 1 Person Who’s Definitely Not on It

What We Know About “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” — Including the 1 Person Who’s Definitely Not on It

    [ad_1]

“1989 (Taylor’s Version)” will be released Oct. 27.

The ultimate release date comes after the “Shake It Off” singer dropped a lot of clues about it. In June 2022, Swift seemingly dropped more Easter eggs about its release at the Las Culturistas Culture Awards, hosted by “SNL” star Bowen Yang and comedian Matt Rogers. She recorded two acceptance speeches for the show, and in those videos, her home was full of items that seemed to reference the “1989” original era, per Vulture.

Then, this May, Swift surprise released the music video for “Karma” (feat. Ice Spice), and fans thought it included even more Easter eggs that pointed to an upcoming drop. In the video, she plays a vinyl copy of “Midnights,” but the album is a light blue, which fans associate with “1989.” In another shot, Swift is the Greek goddess Nemesis, and her pedestal has “MCMLXXXIX” carved into it; that’s 1989 in Roman numerals.

Fans have also found meaning in a scene where Swift appears as three lit lightbulbs. “Speak Now” was Swift’s third album. Then Swift appears as five lightbulbs; “1989” is her fifth album.

One of the video’s last shots has also been interpreted as a clue. Swift holds a coffee cup; inside, her latte has art that looks like a clock. A finger with light-blue nail polish is by the eight on the clock, while a finger with black polish is by the two. Many fans thought that meant a “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” announcement would come in August and “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” would come in February 2024.

The video for the “Speak Now (TV)” song “I Can See You” also had a “1989 (TV)” clue — at the end of the video, a sign over a bridge read, “1′-9″ 8.9 tv.”

  • What to Know About Angelina Jolie’s Famous Parents

What to Know About Angelina Jolie’s Famous Parents

    [ad_1]

Jolie’s dad, Voight, was born in Yonkers, NY, in 1938. He began to pursue acting after graduating from college and first received critical acclaim for his role in 1969’s “Midnight Cowboy.” He won an Oscar for his role in 1978’s “Coming Home,” and his screen credits also include “Heat,” “Mission: Impossible,” and “Ali.” More recently, he appeared on Showtime’s series “Ray Donovan.” He also appeared in “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” as the the father of Jolie’s Lara. When Jolie won her own Oscar for best supporting actress in 2000, she thanked her dad in her speech, saying, “Dad, you’re a great actor but you’re a better father.”

But Jolie and Voight’s difficulties have often been made public. In 2002, when Jolie split from then-husband Billy Bob Thornton, Voight slammed Jolie in the press. He said he was “brokenhearted. . . because I’ve been trying to reach my daughter and get her help, and I have failed and I’m sorry,” per Entertainment Weekly. “Really I haven’t come forward and addressed the serious mental problems she has spoken about so candidly to the press over the years, but I’ve tried behind the scenes in every way.”

Jolie said in a statement at the time, “I don’t want to make public the reasons for my bad relationship with my father. I will only say that, like every child, [my brother] and I would have loved to have had a warm and loving relationship with our dad. After all these years, I have determined that it is not healthy for me to be around my father, especially now that I am responsible for my own child.” She reportedly did not speak to her father until her mother died in 2007.

But eventually, it seems, Jolie started to mend fences with her dad. She told Parade in 2010 that they had started speaking again. She spoke a bit about their reconciliation in the January 2012 issue of Marie Claire, saying, “He’s met the kids and they’ve met him, and I think that’s important that they can do that,” per E! News. “We’re in each other’s lives, but we don’t, as a rule, discuss the past,” she said, adding that she was the one who called him when her mom passed, which was the first time they’d spoken in six years.

In 2017, Jolie told Vanity Fair about her dad’s skills as a grandparent, saying, “He’s been very good at understanding they needed their grandfather at this time. I had to do a therapy meeting last night and he was just around. He knows kind of the rule — don’t make them play with you. Just be a cool grandpa who’s creative, and hang out and tell stories and read a book in the library.”

Back in 2020, Voight also praised Jolie’s parenting skills. “She loves her kids, she’s always involved with them, always concerned for them,” he told reporters at a pre-Golden Globes gala, per People. He added that the biggest thing he’s learned about being a grandfather is “every child is unique.” He explained, “They all have something special, and what you want to do is provide them with the tools to express that.”

Voight is also a vocal supporter of former president Donald Trump.

  • Diddy Celebrates His VMAs Global Icon Award by Performing With 3 of His Kids

Diddy Celebrates His VMAs Global Icon Award by Performing With 3 of His Kids

    [ad_1]

Diddy celebrated his legendary career at the 2023 MTV VMAs on Sept. 12 — and he did it with his family by his side. The music icon received the show’s Global Icon Award and hit the stage, marking his first performance at the event since way back in 2005. During his performance, Diddy was joined on stage by his son King Combs, 25, and his twin daughters, Jessie and D’Lila Combs, 16. The pair danced with their dad during his greatest-hits medley, while King popped up throughout the performance.

Diddy performed classics like “I’ll Be Missing You,” “It’s All About the Benjamins,” “Bad Boy For Life,” “I Need a Girl (Part Two),” and “Mo Money Mo Problems.” Yung Miami also joined him for his track “Gotta Move On,” while Keyshia Cole took the stage to perform “Last Night.”

Mary J. Blige introduced Diddy before he took the stage, and she and his oldest daughter, Chance Combs, presented the mogul with his award afterward. “This is a dream come true for me,” he noted during his acceptance speech. “I grew up watching MTV. I started as a paperboy at 12, and then I was going to be an NFL football player for the Pittsburgh Steelers.” But then Diddy shared that he broke his leg, crushing his dreams, until he got scouted as a dancer and realized he wanted to work in music.

“I want to thank every executive, every producer, every songwriter,” Diddy added in his remarks. “I gotta thank the Bad Boy family because without them, I wouldn’t be up here.”

He urged the audience, “You just gotta keep dreaming. I know sometimes you get hit with those hard things. Like I said, I thought I’d be playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but God made another choice.” Diddy added, “I pray to God y’all get to do something that you love for 30 years consistently.”

Last, he said, “Before we go, in true Diddy fashion, I’m a hustler. I’ve got an album coming out this Friday.” Diddy had Jessie and D’Lila lift up copies of the album, titled “The Love Album: Off the Grid,” his first solo album since 2006.

At the award show, Diddy was also nominated for four other awards. His song “Gotta Move On (Queens Remix)” was nominated for best collaboration and best hip-hop, while Metro Boomin’s song “Creepin’ (Remix),” which he features on, was also nominated for best collaboration and best R&B.

Though only four of Diddy’s kids attended the award show, the hip-hop icon is a proud dad of seven total. His youngest daughter, baby Love, was born in October 2022. Diddy is the third recipient of the MTV Global Icon Award after the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2022 and the Foo Fighters in 2021.

“And Just Like That” Renewed For Season 3

    [ad_1]

Carrie Bradshaw isn’t hanging up her Manolo Blahniks just yet. On Aug. 22, Max announced that “And Just Like That” has been renewed for a third season. The announcement of the “Sex and the City” spinoff’s renewal comes days before season two wraps up.

“We are delighted to share that since the launch of season two, ‘And Just Like That’ ranks as the #1 Max Original overall, and is the most-watched returning Max Original to date,” Sarah Aubrey, Max’s head of original content, said in a statement. “As we approach the highly anticipated season finale on Thursday, we raise our cosmos to Michael Patrick King and his magnificent team of writers, producers, cast and crew who continue to charm us, 25 years later, with dynamic friendships and engaging stories. We cannot wait for audiences to see where season three will take our favorite New Yorkers.”

Of course, fans are anxiously awaiting the finale, not just to find out what will happen with Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Aidan (John Corbett) but also because Kim Cattrall’s Samantha will return for a brief scene. Will Samantha come back in a fuller way in season three? It seems unlikely, but the very idea of Samantha ever returning once seemed far-fetched, too, so we’ll have to wait and see.

Good News, “Heartstopper” Fans: It’s Already Renewed For Season 3

    [ad_1]

Content warning: The following story contains spoilers for “Heartstopper” season two.

“Heartstopper” season two is here, but some fans might already have their eyes turned toward the next installment. The series, created and written by Alice Oseman from her series of graphic novels, follows Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie (Joe Locke), two British teens who fall in love after meeting at school. The show grapples with their struggles to explore their relationship (and themselves) in an environment that can be less than accepting toward LGBTQ+ people. The ensemble cast includes Charlie’s besties Elle (Yasmin Finney), Tao (William Gao), and Isaac (Tobie Donovan), as well as other classmates and friends, including Tara (Corinna Brown), Darcy (Kizzy Edgell), Imogen (Rhea Norwood), and Sahar (Leila Khan).

Back in May 2022, Netflix renewed “Heartstopper” for seasons two and three. Oseman said in an interview this May with Hello! magazine that they do know how the series will ultimately bring everyone’s stories to a close. “I definitely have an end point in mind, just because I know what’s going to happen in the whole story, [and] because I’ve got the comics planned out,” they said. “And I imagine four seasons would see out the whole story of ‘Heartstopper.’” For now, whether the show will get renewed for that fourth season remains a mystery.

  • How A24’s Gory Film “Talk to Me” Comes to Its Horrifying Conclusion

How A24’s Gory Film “Talk to Me” Comes to Its Horrifying Conclusion

    [ad_1]

Content warning: The following story contains spoilers for “Talk to Me” and references to suicide as depicted in the film.

The new A24 horror movie, “Talk to Me,” might just be the scariest film of the year so far. The new movie, directed by Danny and Michael Philippou from a script by Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman, follows a group of Australian teenagers who discover they can speak to spirits by using an embalmed hand. Mia (Sophie Wilde), whose mom recently died, is obsessed with doing it, while her best friend, Jade (Alexandra Jensen), is much more apprehensive. When they use the hand to hold a séance at Jade’s house, her little brother, Riley (Joe Bird), gets involved, with disastrous, gory consequences.

Through the end of the movie, Mia tries desperately to save Riley as the spirits start to slip into her everyday life. It all leads to a thrilling, terrifying conclusion. But if the “Talk to Me” ending had you a little confused, we’re breaking it down ahead.

    “Talk to Me” Ending Explained

After Riley takes part in the séance, he can’t stop beating himself up and trying to die. At first, it seems that an evil spirit has taken over his body and is forcing him to do this, but when Mia communes with a spirit, she realizes that Riley’s spirit is trapped in the underworld and is being constantly tormented. The pain is so great that he wants to die.

Back at her house, Mia learns from her father that her mother died by suicide and left a note. In her room, the spirit of Mia’s mother tells Mia that her father is an impostor and that she needs to kill Riley, ultimately, to set him free. Her mother promises she can take care of Riley’s spirit then. Mia hallucinates that she’s being attacked by a spirit and accidentally stabs her father in the neck.

At the hospital, Mia tricks Jade into leaving Riley’s room so she can kidnap him and push him onto the highway. Earlier in the movie, Mia and Riley saw a dying kangaroo in that same spot on the highway that Riley wanted her to put out of its misery, but she couldn’t. The movie implies that it might be the spirit of the kangaroo that’s terrorizing Mia and Riley now.

Jade rushes to stop Mia, and it’s unclear if Jade pushes Mia, or if Mia decides to sacrifice herself, but she ends up being the one hit by the car. We see her walking through a hospital, where Riley and her dad have both healed and are heading home. No one can hear or see her. Then we see more high schoolers who’ve taken possession of the hand and use it to talk to Mia’s spirit.

Ultimately, Mia dying was the sacrifice that the spirits required, so they let Riley go free. The spirit that was her mother was actually some malignant force that just wanted to cause pain and preyed on Mia’s grief. By dying, she saved them all.

“Talk to Me” is in theaters now.
