The 2023 US Open — the last tennis Grand Slam of the year — kicked off on Aug. 28 at Billie Jean King Tennis Center in Queens, NY, and there were plenty of stars there to take in the action.

On night one, they were treated to American player Coco Gauff’s tense battle with Laura Siegemund — in which Gauff eventually prevailed — and Novak Djokovic’s trouncing of Alexandre Müller. Former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama were both in attendance for the matches, as were celebrities like Danny Devito, Gayle King, and Katie Couric. Couple Jamie Chung and Bryan Greenberg witnessed the action together as well, and designer Vera Wang watched the along with Vogue editor Anna Wintour (who’s a major tennis lover). On night two, Queen Latifah, J Balvin, and Ariana DeBose were spotted among the attendees.

Between now and the finals on Sept. 10, we expect to see even more famous faces make their way to Flushing to watch some great tennis, and there are tons of people to root for this year. At 19, Gauff is giving fans a lot to look forward to, as are fellow US players Frances Tiafoe, Jessica Pegula (whose parents own the Buffalo Bills), and Christopher Eubanks, who made it to the Wimbledon quarterfinal last month.

Ahead, see all the celebrities spotted at the 2023 US Open so far.
