David and Victoria Beckham: A Timeline of Their Relationship

    [ad_1]

David and Victoria Beckham continue to remain as strong as ever 24 years after tying the knot. The longtime couple met in 1997, though David himself had a crush on the former Spice Girl during her days with the popular British girl group long before they connected for the first time. In a 2008 interview on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” the former soccer star revealed that he was watching TV when he experienced love at first sight. “I was in a hotel room with my best friend, who was my best man at my wedding, I remember turning around — before I’d even met Victoria — and said, ‘I want to marry that one,’” he said.

The Beckhams said “I do” in July 1999, and went on to have four children together: Brooklyn (born March 1999), Romeo (born September 2002), Cruz (born February 2005), and Harper (born July 2011). Throughout their years-long relationship, the couple have withstood criticism, in addition to divorce and infidelity rumors, but have always maintained their strong bond during the toughest of times.

From sweet Instagram posts to gushy interview moments, David and Victoria are what many consider couple goals, and the two aren’t shy about sharing their love for one another. In an interview on “The View” in October 2019, Victoria sang David’s praises, gushing, “Obviously, he’s incredibly good-looking, but David is the most wonderful husband and fantastic father and a real inspiration to all of us. He’s hardworking . . . I’m lucky to have him as my soulmate.”

Read on for the couple’s complete relationship timeline, from when they first met to starring in David’s Netflix docuseries, “Beckham,” which hits the streamer Oct. 4.

Now this is a bit more like me. San Ysidro Drive is the fun middle child of the VB fragrance family. With notes of passion fruit, pink peony, ocean air infused with rose absolute, saffron flower, and agarwood, it’s certainly an eclectic mixture of notes. But it truly embodies Victoria Beckham’s transformative phase in Los Angeles – just as it was intended to – and we’re vicariously living a Posh Spice summer with each spritz.

This fragrance evokes that signature slow pace of Californian life, from meditative hikes in the canyons to ocean air blowing through your hair and the comforting scent of burning candles at home. But the real magic lies in the warm base notes.

Victoria Beckham San Ysidro Drive 50ml

Road test: I sprayed San Ysidro Drive first thing in the morning to channel those positive ‘fresh start to a new day’ vibes. The initial rush of passion fruit and pink peony gave way to tranquil, oceanic freshness, even though I was facing the busy streets of London. By dusk, it had evolved into the type of comforting aroma that feels like a hug in a bottle.

Victoria Beckham Suite 302 review: at a glance

    • GLAMOUR star rating: ⭐⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
    • Reasons to buy: Punchy, smoky, rich
    • Reasons to avoid: Raw and for some, too overpowering
    • Price: 50ml £170, 100ml £245
    • Our verdict: Want to smell expensive and like a timeless family heirloom that will be passed down generations? Try this scent.

Suit 302 is the confident older sister to San Ysidro Drive. With notes of black cherry, red peppercorn, midnight violet and musk, it’s designed to transport you to the Parisian hotel where Victoria and David celebrate their wedding anniversaries.

It’s certainly a big and opulent scent, which I usually gravitate towards, but surprisingly, it has to be said that this is my least favourite perfume of the bunch. The notes feel too isolated rather than blending seamlessly into one another, which can make the finished product feel a little too raw and overpowering at times. This is especially true of the smoky and leather notes – they feel too intense, like a designer leather jacket that has absorbed the smell of too many Cuban cigars.

    Victoria Beckham Suite 302 50ml

Road test: Suite 302 is definitely a night time scent. It turns heads, yes, but it felt overpowering on my wrists as the smoky elements lingered for longer than I would have liked. The blend of black cherry, red peppercorn, and musk do create an aura of intrigue, though and hours later, the fragrance had transformed into something unexpectedly velvety and sensual.

    The Final Verdict

Each fragrance is a beautifully crafted memory. But like all good perfumes, Victoria Beckham’s collection is also very evocative so each one transports you to a different time and place and allows you to create memories of your own. The longevity of these fragrances on the skin is impressive, ensuring that your chosen scent will accompany you throughout your day or evening, and I personally think it’s worth experiencing each one for yourself.

Victoria Beckham Portofino ’97 EDP, San Ysidro Drive EDP, and Suit 302 EDP are available to purchase from Victoria Beckham Beauty and Selfridges now.

The Most Iconic ’90s Outfits in VMAs History

    [ad_1]

After a dearth of red-carpet events thanks to the ongoing SAG strike, I’m absolutely looking forward to the MTV Video Music Awards on Tuesday, September 12. While every decade has had its fair share of iconic looks at the event, the ’90s take the cake in my opinion. When else could you see Pamela Anderson in a gigantic pink hat, Destiny’s Child in matching sherbert-hued looks, and Gwen Stefani in a furry bra?

Below, I rounded up my favorite ’90s looks in VMA history. Here’s a hint of what to expect: The Spice Girls in their prime, Madonna in an elaborate costume for a performance, Jennifer Lopez in a sparkly top, and Cindy Crawford in a thoroughly modern outfit that could have been worn yesterday. Scroll down to revisit the most iconic looks from the MTV VMAs.

  • I Tried Tons of Brown Eyeliners to Bring You the Very Best 10

I Tried Tons of Brown Eyeliners to Bring You the Very Best 10

    [ad_1]

Much like black, brown eyeliner can be applied in a number of different ways. I personally love using a brown pencil or crayon for tight-lining my eyes. I angle the pencil upwards and apply it right into my lash line which helps to add subtle definition and creates the illusion of fuller lashes without it looking like I have any eyeliner on. If you’ve previously found black eyeliner over-powering, but tight-lining with a brown liner has a totally different result which you’ll probably find more flattering.

“The great thing about brown eyeliner is that you don’t have to be too neat and if you want a smoky, smudgy look you can just use a pencil brush to blend,” says Clarkson. She also recommends tight-lining to start with, but for a bolder look she suggests dragging the brown liner into a wing whilst keeping your eyes open to add some extra shape. “If you feel like it adds too much product, instead of applying directly with the pencil, put a generous amount onto the back of your hand and use a small angled brush to apply along the lash line, building it up to your perfect amount.”

Of course, brown eyeliners also come in felt tip pen applicators, which can be used for a more traditional thick line or cat-eye wing. Although this does require a steady hand (and cotton buds to clean up any mistakes!), any error in the shape will be much less noticeable than a black eyeliner would be. Plus, the overall effect will be more subtle.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Friendship With David And Victoria Beckham Is Reportedly Over — Here’s Why

    [ad_1]

    By Becca Longmire.

The Beckhams and the Sussexes’ friendship has reportedly fizzled out.

According to the Mail on Sunday, David Beckham was “absolutely bloody furious” after it was reportedly suggested that the Beckhams had leaked stories about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

A source who is said to be close to the Beckhams told the paper, “David and Victoria went to Meghan and Harry’s wedding and were very supportive when Meghan arrived in the U.K.”

The accusations were said to have come up during a tense phone call.

The source said, “Any making up now is so unlikely.”

Anderson was said to have helped arrange Harry and Meghan’s secret dates at the private members social club.

  • Victoria Beckham and Her Husband, David, Perform the Spice Girls’ “Say You’ll Be There”

Victoria Beckham and Her Husband, David, Perform the Spice Girls’ “Say You’ll Be There”

    [ad_1]

Victoria Beckham and her husband, David Beckham, spiced up their life with a karaoke performance of “Say You’ll Be There” by the Spice Girls in Miami on July 22. On July 23, Victoria shared a video of her and David performing the ’90s hit on TikTok. In the TikTok, the fashion designer/woman formerly known as Posh Spice holds hands with her husband as they dance and belt out the iconic song.

“Warming up the vocals in Miami! More to come,” Victoria captioned the TikTok. Meanwhile, she teased the full-length video on her Instagram, writing, “Just a casual night out in Miami! check out my tik tok to see the full performance no really I did not drink that much.” The official Spice Girls account commented on her post with two heart emoji.

Victoria and David’s throwback Spice Girls sing-along appeared to have taken place shortly after Lionel Messi made his Inter Miami debut (David co-owns Inter Miami). The Beckhams were there to cheer on Messi along with a number of their famous friends, including Kim Kardashian and her son Saint West, LeBron James, and Marc Anthony. Two of the Beckhams’ children — Harper and Cruz — attended the match, as well.

After the match, Victoria shared a post featuring candid shots from the afterparty. She captioned the joyful photos, “Work hard play hard! wow!! What a night celebrating with friends in Miami!!!! I love you @davidbeckham x.”

The couple’s big night may have inspired Victoria to indulge in a bit of Spice Girls nostalgia, but fans of the band shouldn’t expect to see her on tour anytime soon. In a 2022 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” she told host Andy Cohen that she’s too busy to suit up as Posh Spice again.

“I had so much fun being in the Spice Girls. But I think now with everything else I’ve got going on — with my fashion, and my beauty line, four children — I couldn’t commit to that,” she said of a potential reunion tour. She also confirmed that she still loves to sing the band’s songs during karaoke (as evidenced in the video below). “I had so much fun in the Spice Girls. I love the girls,” she added. “I really, really enjoy singing Spice Girls when I’m doing karaoke.”

  • From Bella Hadid to Rihanna, This Luxury Bag Is a Calling Card of Wealthy Celebs

From Bella Hadid to Rihanna, This Luxury Bag Is a Calling Card of Wealthy Celebs

    [ad_1]

Goyard bags are prized in part for their exclusivity. And because they can only be purchased at certain places, they tend to be priced even higher when sold secondhand. So as far as an investment bag goes, it’s a pretty safe bet as long as you take care of it.

That said, determining the value of a bag is different for merchants and buyers. While the quality construction and materials used in Goyard bags are superb, it’s also important to consider other factors: How often will you wear the bag? Will the color work with the rest of your wardrobe? Does this particular style feel timeless to you?

Also, higher-end bags that tend to be custom creations can also be of different value to the buyer and seller, particularly on the secondhand market. Does the bag have personal details that are meaningful, such as a monogram, or other embellishments? Rare bags that are unique but not overly personalized tend to carry the highest value in the resale market but may be priceless to their owners.

So while we say yes, it is worthwhile to buy a Goyard bag, ultimately, the decision is a personal one that must factor in material, design, price, color, and utility. Hopefully, any bag purchased will be enjoyed and admired no matter the final cost.

Fall 2023’s Top Runway Trend Was Wearability—12 Ways You Can Copy It RN

    [ad_1]

It’s not every season that most of the big shows during fashion month send looks down the runway that anyone, even someone who might not necessarily consider themselves a “fashion person,” could recreate with pieces they already own. Trust me—I’ve attempted to mimic my fair share of runway looks. Typically, it involves the help of sample pulls, personal purchases, and sometimes even cutting up pieces in my closet. But this fall, you can rest easy knowing that one of the most significant and talked-about trends of the entire season was wearability

From a tank top and jeans closing out Matthieu Blazy’s third show for Bottega Veneta to Miu Miu models donning leggings and zip-up hoodies, there was no shortage of wardrobe staples and basics on the runway at the fall/winter 2023 shows across the board, from New York to Paris and everywhere in between. Tailored coats reigned supreme at Khaite. Blazers accompanied nearly every model at Saint Laurent. And classic denim made appearances at both Alaïa and Gucci. Clearly, designers, like us, have an affinity for pieces that are as versatile and sensible as they are shockingly gorgeous in construction. *Sighs in relief.*

Prepare to save all 60 of the runway looks featured ahead. Trust me, you’ll need them when you go to style all the classic staples in your current wardrobe.

According to Celebs, Thigh-High Boots Are the It Shoes of 2023—Here’s Proof

    [ad_1]

Leave it to celebs to be fashion’s earliest adopters. Sure, we may still only be at the crack of 2023 but our favorite A-listers are already testing out one of next season’s most notable emerging trends: over-the-knee boots. Now, knee boots have reigned supreme for several seasons but based on our evidence, spring 2023 is when our staple boots will start creeping ever higher over the knee.

They’ve been making a big impact on recent runways, too, cameoing at Diesel, Fendi, Jil Sander, and Bottega Veneta, just to name a few and while our initial reaction was one of hesitation since OTK boots are notoriously tricky to style, we’re positive that they’ll become the biggest boot trend of spring 2023 after seeing how celebs are wearing them.

From Rihanna to Emily Ratajkowski and Dua Lipa to Margot Robbie, the sheer number of celebrity outfits we’ve spotted with over-the-knee boots have us questioning whether they’ll replace our knee boots for good. All the proof your need is up ahead.

  • Pants Are Out, and Underwear Is In—6 Risqué Runway Looks That Prove It

Pants Are Out, and Underwear Is In—6 Risqué Runway Looks That Prove It

    [ad_1]

In addition to simple, pared-down looks on the spring 2023 runways, the latest fashion season also offered up its fair share of more risqué ensembles, one of which involves ditching pants entirely and wearing underwearonly. Even more surprising, though, was how alluring the trend turned out to be. Rather than over-the-top or showy, designers like Matthieu Blazy at Bottega Veneta and Victoria Beckham showcased the pantsless look in the most high-brow of manners.

What leveled up the concept was the way in which it was styled on the runways, which I suggest you take note of for when you test out the trend IRL. At both of the aforementioned presentations, models ditched pants and wore just tights instead, paired with classic heels and either a simple knit (at Bottega Veneta) or a lace bra and tailored blazer (at Victoria Beckham).

In contrast, Miu Miu Creative Director Miuccia Prada used long, layered T-shirts and knee-high open-toe boots to create the illusion that going out sans trousers was no big deal. At Del Core, thigh-high stockings provided just enough coverage to make a bodysuit (and only a bodysuit) suitable for everyday, and at Coperni, a cropped blazer was made to turn high-rise black briefs into a put-together ensemble.

All that’s to say if you were planning on investing heavily in trousers come spring, don’t. Or at least, don’t buy so many that you can’t afford a few pairs of show-worthy panties and snag-proof tights. I promise they’ll come in handy because the pantsless trend, no matter how impractical, is here to stay.

Victoria Beckham Just Made Leggings Look Posh With These Unexpected Shoes

    [ad_1]

Victoria Beckham doesn’t always wear leggings, but when she does, she makes them look impossibly cool. I’m used to seeing Beckham in her signature midi dresses and skirts, but she was just photographed in New York City wearing classic black leggings.

She nixed sneakers in favor of pointy-toe stiletto boots, which instantly elevated her look—she is Posh Spice, after all. Her sock boots are the opposite of athleticwear, but naturally, she pulls them off with aplomb. If you’ve only been wearing your leggings to the gym, consider this your sign to style them with your sexiest pair of boots and go out on the town instead. Scroll down to see how Victoria Beckham is styling leggings right now and shop pieces to re-create her outfit.
