  • Victoria Beckham Celebrates Netflix Documentary Premiere With Her Fellow Spice Girls

    [ad_1]

The preview attracted other celebrities, including Victoria Beckham’s long-time friend Eva Longoria, looking radiant in a satin dress and gold-heeled sandals. The Spice Girls (almost) all turned up. Emma Bunton was accompanied by her son Beau Lee Jones, Melanie C posed with her partner, Australian model and actor Chris Dingwall, while Geri Halliwell came with her husband, former F1 driver Christian Horner, and his daughter Olivia. Mel B was the only absentee.

As her husband had done two years earlier in Beckham, the former singer let the cameras follow her around, offering the world a portrait of the “real” Victoria Beckham. From her showgirl past in the most mythical girl group of the turn of the century to her status as England’s most famous WAG and the launch of her flourishing fashion and beauty business. Over the course of three episodes, she confides in us about her “ambition,” “constant reinvention,” and reiterates her “unwavering commitment to style,” according to the official Netflix synopsis. The three episodes, each around 50 minutes long, are available on Netflix.

  • Victoria Beckham’s New Beauty Collection With Augustinus Bader Brings Science-Backed Skincare to Makeup

    [ad_1]

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, Variety may receive an affiliate commission.

Victoria Beckham is expanding her growing beauty empire with a new skincare-driven makeup collection developed in partnership with Augustinus Bader, marking the latest evolution of her namesake brand’s minimalist, science-backed approach.

The new range, which launched last month, centers on The Foundation Drops — a complexion product that blurs the lines between skincare and makeup. The formula incorporates Bader’s proprietary TFC8® technology, a complex of amino acids, vitamins, and peptides designed to support skin renewal and improve texture over time.

Beckham, who first partnered with the German skincare house in 2019, has steadily built a line that merges clinical performance with luxury branding. Earlier collaborations included Cell Rejuvenating Priming Moisturizer and Power Serum, both of which quickly became cult favorites among beauty insiders. The new expansion cements Beckham Beauty’s commitment to long-term skin health while broadening its reach into the complexion category.

The partnership with Bader is both strategic and deeply personal for Beckham, who has long been candid about her challenges with sensitive skin and her preference for formulas that combine efficacy with elegance. The packaging — minimalist, weighted, and glass — continues her brand’s signature design language, balancing precision with polish.

In addition to the foundation, the line introduces a Concealer Pen infused with the same TFC8® complex, further blurring the boundary between coverage and care. More complexion products are expected in early 2026, as Beckham Beauty continues to expand its presence in the luxury skincare-meets-makeup space.

  • The Victoria Beckham Docuseries Is Finally Coming to Netflix

    [ad_1]

In August of 2024, Netflix announced an upcoming docuseries starring Victoria Beckham. One year later, the project is finally seeing the light of day. Victoria Beckham will hit the streamer September 10, a release date announced on Instagram with a never-before-seen portrait of the designer.

Directed by the producers of the 2024 Beckham series and Nadia Hallgren (of Becoming, the documentary on Michelle Obama), the series will follow Victoria as she splits her time between family life and work during Fashion Week. Netflix cameras were on hand last September as she organized her Paris fashion show.

    Instagram content

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

Like the streamer’s earlier Beckham series—which retraced the soccer career of her husband, David Beckham—this new production adopts an intimate format. But it’s reportedly focused more on Victoria’s current life and her career in the fashion industry. As the head of a genuine fashion empire, the former Spice Girl is opening the doors of her studio to tell her own story for the very first time.

It’s been a particularly busy year for the Briton, with the expansion of her Victoria Beckham Beauty line, David Beckham’s knighthood, receiving the Harper’s Bazaar Entrepreneur of the Year award, and more. The documentary may also revisit rumors of family tensions, particularly with their son Brooklyn, who reportedly has had a strained relationship with his parents in recent months.

  • I Never Say This, but the Victoria Beckham x Augustinus Bader Makeup Collection Deserves to Be Absurdly Expensive

    [ad_1]

Let’s be so for real: The Cell Rejuvenating Power Serum is not cheap. With a price like that, it better be one of the best things in your makeup bag—and it honestly is. The serum comes in a gorgeous dropper-line glass bottle that feels rich when you dab it onto your complexion. You only need a few drops (which is great, because the product comes out of the bottle very slowly). I have super dry skin, and this lightweight oil took care of that in one application, leaving my complexion buttery soft without a glossy, greasy slick.

It’s enhanced with a yeast ferment complex to clarify the skin and improve the skin barrier, resulting in more supple-looking skin. Additionally, it contains bio-peptides for their anti-inflammatory properties and rebalancing powers, as well as black crowberry fruit for its antioxidants and skin-toning benefits. It also features triple-weight hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, which work together to calm and reduce redness, target fine lines and wrinkles, and give your complexion a radiant glow.

While it is expensive, I think this is the hero product of the collection, and a little goes a long way (I used maybe two drops to cover my entire face).

  • Loewe puts on spring explosion of flowers and form at Paris Fashion Week

Loewe puts on spring explosion of flowers and form at Paris Fashion Week

    [ad_1]

PARIS (AP) — Loewe’s latest VIP-filled collection dazzled at the Paris Fashion Week runway Friday, presenting an explosion of flowers and form that captured designer Jonathan Anderson’s innovative spirit.

The Northern Irish designer again showed his talent for infusing theatricality into his designs, showcasing whimsical creations like a surreal giant hoop skirt that lent the display an eccentric, circus-like feel. A stunning white gown adorned with vibrant floral prints radiated energy.

Here are some highlights of spring-summer ready-to-wear shows:

    Loewe’s twists

Unexpected lines and twists on classic silhouettes dominated the runway, with the giant hoop transforming floral patterns into eccentric spectacles. Anderson expertly wove together historical inspirations from the Renaissance with the carefree looseness of the 1920s, mixed with surreal structured skirts and peplums that evoked a rich sense of heritage. All designs had something off-kilter about them.

A standout piece, a beautiful feathered poncho featuring a Van Gogh print, dazzled with its artistic flair. It illustrated Anderson’s ability to transform art into fashion and resonated deeply with camera-ready audiences. Each piece seemed to challenge the viewer’s expectations, daring them to reconsider the boundaries of traditional fashion.

In its exploration of bold concepts and mind-bending forms, the display occasionally veered into the overly conceptual. But Anderson still delivered a wealth of wearable pieces. The collection included striking items like a black trench coat with a fashion-forward midriff cut-out, which exuded rock-star magnetism and exemplified the brand’s leather heritage.

The piece, along with others, showcased Anderson’s mastery in balancing creativity with practicality.

    Schiaparelli shines with bold whimsy

Daniel Roseberry’s latest collection for Schiaparelli focuses on blending high fashion with refreshing accessibility. Though it featured less of the Surrealism associated with the late, great house founder Elsa Schiaparelli, the collection still celebrated whimsy, albeit a dialed down version.

Gone are the days of celebrity-driven runways. Instead, Roseberry crafted an eclectic mix of bold silhouettes and playful designs. Standout pieces included denim with a unique U-shaped dip at the waist, paired with curve-hugging ivory bodysuits that highlighted an hourglass shape. This motif, evident in a zip-front dress and sleek halter top, appeared throughout the collection, showcasing Roseberry’s knack for redefining femininity.

With fewer embroideries this season, the designer emphasized texture and details. Models strutted in gathered mesh jersey dresses, with fabric coiled like a braid, and dresses accented with suede for added luster.

Footwear also stole the spotlight, featuring Roseberry’s signature trompe l’oeil sneakers alongside leather babouche slides adorned with golden toe rings — transforming everyday items into artistic statements.

Roseberry drew inspiration from the women in his life who crave statement pieces that are effortlessly chic, with daring patterns, exaggerated shoulder pads, and bold floral motifs.

In a fashion landscape often driven by commercial pressures, Schiaparelli’s latest show carved out a dynamic space for creativity. Roseberry proved he can balance artistic whimsy with wearable elegance.

    Issey Miyake’s papery beauty

Issey Miyake’s latest collection unfolded like a poetic exploration into the art of simplicity and craft. Much like the house’s previous offerings, this collection combined innovative techniques with tradition — a hallmark that has continued under the vision of Satoshi Kondo and the design atelier.

This time, the team explored paper as a medium and inspiration, delving into its textures, lightness, and nostalgic feel. If previous shows dabbled in geometry and fluidity, Friday’s collection was about the fragility and strength of paper through airy, pleated garments and origami-inspired folds.

The collection began with kamiko pieces — garments made of traditional washi paper — that paid homage to Japan’s centuries-old crafts. This nod to the past didn’t come at the expense of wearability.

The Fold-to-Form pieces were nothing short of architectural brilliance, with angular, origami-inspired folds. It felt like a natural extension of the Miyake legacy: one part innovation, one part reflection on the past.

The house’s fixation on textiles sometimes tipped into over-conceptualization. The EAU series, with its water-like transparency and fluidity, had all the ethereal beauty one could expect, but the weight of its metaphor — garments flowing like water — felt familiar.

    Marketing madness

As Paris Fashion Week unfolds, so too do the latest gimmicks. The newest trend and subject of front-row chatter was the introduction of Uber Fashion cars, designed in collaboration with fashion house Coperni. The vehicles feature a metallic sheen inspired by the brand’s Swipe Bag.

Fashion-conscious riders could book a free ride in these cars by selecting the Uber Fashion option in the app, and each ride even comes with a custom playlist to enhance the Fashion Week experience, according to Uber. However, availability is on a first-come, first-served basis, meaning that many may be unable to secure a ride amidst the event’s chaos. It’s yet another example of how the fashion industry seeks to capitalize on Fashion Week’s excitement.

Victoria Beckham blows in a new breeze

Victoria Beckham’s latest collection swept through Paris with the force of a Greek myth, evoking the Victory of Samothrace as a twisted cropped vest opened the show. It billowed like a gleaming shard of fabric, as if it were poised to take flight off the runway — setting the tone for a collection that danced between poetry and practicality.

The windswept aesthetic was unmistakable throughout, from a sheer pastel top that exposed nipples in a diagonal cascade down the torso, to loose-waisted signature trousers with a billowing slit. Beckham’s recurring play with proportions was here, albeit with a softer, more sculptural touch, subtly nodding to her signature focus on elongating the body. This time, her references to Ancient Greece gave her collection a new kind of dynamism that felt almost ethereal. Gigi Hadid, draped in a gleaming green gown with a gathered skirt, moved like a sculpture come to life — a striking moment that embodied this unexpected, but highly welcome, more poetical direction for the former Spice Girl.

But amid the billowing silhouettes and minimalism, Beckham deftly anchored designs with the staples that have made her brand so popular. Florals made an appearance — subtle, yet essential — as did her commitment to relaxed, modern tailoring. While the poetical gestures floated through, the bread-and-butter of the house remained: practical, wearable luxury.

Yet the collection walked a fine line between creativity and wearability — a line Beckham has navigated with mixed success in the past. While the draped, windswept garments invoked a sense of playful experimentation, critics of her previous work may wonder if her eccentricity is in danger of overpowering the brand’s practical core. Beckham’s last few seasons have seen her balancing the theatrical with the everyday, but the sheer pastels and sculptural gowns here flirted with pushing that envelope a little too far.

Still, Beckham has proven her command of deconstruction and silhouette, and here it paid off. The architectural approach she’s honed, from slashed jackets to exposed backs, found new life in this Grecian motif. Her ability to expose and conceal in the same breath, to deconstruct and rebuild, once again highlights her strength in mastering complex garment construction—a talent honed across her Parisian shows.

  • Victoria Beckham rocks the tiniest handbag you ever saw on date night with David

Victoria Beckham rocks the tiniest handbag you ever saw on date night with David

    [ad_1]

The Beckham family have been enjoying their summer holidays in France and we have been loving their holiday snaps. David and Victoria both shared a carousel of intimate pictures and they look super exotic. Wish you were here, indeed!

WATCH: Victoria and David’s best fashion looks

The whole family (sans Brooklyn) can be seen on the famous couple’s Instagram, happily enjoying their getaway on board a yacht and the clan looked ultra sun-kissed as they enjoyed each other’s company.

In one shot, Victoria and David were seen on a date night, watching a romantic sunset in the French vineyard, Domaine De Peretti Della Rocca. Swish! Looking relaxed and loved-up, the pair snuggle up for the camera. Ever the stylish fashionista, VB rocked a classic black sundress and picture-perfect straight hair. But did you spot her bag?

On the table, next to the wine, was a tiny Hermès ‘Mini Kelly’ bag. The iconic style is having such a big fashion moment right now, as it hits the ‘Old Money Aesthetic’ trend with its top handle vibe and of course, eye-watering price tag. How teeny is it though? We bet she can’t fit too much in it.

The brunette beauty mostly wears and carries items from her own fashion collection – it’s actually quite rare to see her rock an item so publicly from another label.

A ‘Kelly’ bag of this size starts at around £7,000-£10,000 but vintage counterparts can sell for a lot more.

    Photoshopgate

The idyllic snap prompted Victoria to call out her megastar football legend husband. In the photo, she has her arm around David and fans were quick to ask if she had dyed her hair, as it appeared to have a reddish tint. VB, who is known for her dry sense of humour, quickly quipped: “What? Why is my hair ginger??? What filter is that David?”

Another follower piped up, joking: “Now Ginger Spice!”

Harper Beckham is celebrating her 13th birthday today and proud parents David and Victoria have shared messages for their daughter.

Harper is former footballer David and fashion designer Victoria’s youngest child. They have three older sons – Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, and Cruz, 19.

Over the years, Harper has enjoyed some lavish birthday celebrations. But one in particular sparked some backlash from people online.

    Harper Beckham birthday

For her sixth birthday in 2017, Harper celebrated at Buckingham Palace. The little girl partied with her pals alongside Princess Eugenie.

At the time, David, 49, shared photos from the bash on the palace grounds. He wrote on Instagram: “Happy Birthday to our special little young lady. Such a special girl who brings so much joy and happiness into our lives..

“Happy 6th birthday (I can’t believe you’re 6 already) have the most amazing day we love you pretty lady.”

However, the post sparked some backlash from trolls.

Even royal experts offered their opinions, with former palace press secretary Dickie Arbiter telling Sky News: “None of them has got a right to be there.

“Is it being opened up as a theme park? It devalues what the place is all about. Why do the Beckhams get special treatment?”

David defended the visit, saying on Instagram at the time: “Just to be clear this wasn’t the palace opening the gates for Harper’s birthday party, this was a tea party where us and other guests were invited so it was a beautiful thing to do with my mum, Harper plus a few school friends. We were honoured to be able to there… Beautiful tea party.”

David wrote on Instagram: “Happy 13th Birthday to my beautiful little girl. Daddy is so proud of you, you have grown up to be a kind, generous and a beautiful young lady with the most amazing heart and the most amazing smile that we all love so so much. Always be the beautiful person that you are.”

  • Spice Girls Reunite for Brief Birthday Show

Spice Girls Reunite for Brief Birthday Show

    [ad_1]

“It’s important to evolve and try new things,” Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham said in an interview on the eve of her landmark birthday celebrations. And while that’s probably true, the pop icon turned fashion designer is in the news today for a weekend act of nostalgia—a reunion with the band that made her a household name.

Beckham, who turned 50 last Wednesday, hosted a star-studded shindig Saturday in honor of the occasion. Held at Oswald’s, a members-only club in London known for visits by Prince William, Joan Collins, and Boris Johnson, guests including Tom Cruise, Eva Longoria, Salma Hayek, and Jason Statham, People reports.

Perhaps most thrillingly, Beckham’s co-Spice Girls were all in attendance: Emma “Baby Spice” Bunton, Melanie Janine Brown (also known as “Mel B” or “Scary Spice”), Melanie Jayne Chisholm (that’s Mel C/Sporty Spice), and Geri “Ginger Spice” Horner (née Halliwell).

It’s hard to imagine that all five of the members of the group that provided the basic soundtrack of the 1990s haven’t gathered in private over the years—after all, as the song goes, “friendship never ends.” But the group hasn’t publicly performed together since 2012, when they reunited for the closing ceremonies of the London Olympics. Beckham did not participate in the band’s 2019 reunion tour, saying then that “it just didn’t feel like the right thing to do.”

Fans hopeful that the group will again take the stage will probably have to wait a bit longer, though. In an interview with the most recent edition of The Sunday Times, Beckham seems most focused on a new line she’s designed for the fast fashion brand Mango. But her remarks came before last night’s party, where she joined her bandmates in a singalong to “Stop,” one of the Spice Girls’ second-album singles.

The performance was captured by Posh’s spouse and retired footballer David Beckham, who posted the seemingly spontaneous show to his Instagram. The Spice Girls were sans microphones, so we can’t evaluate their voices—but it’s clear that they still recall the choreography to a quarter-century-old song, which is worthy of praise. And Posh was dancing while in a fracture boot, as she’s still recovering from a February gym mishap during which she broke her foot. Now that’s a commitment to presentation.

“I mean come on,” Beckham captioned his post, on which he tagged his wife’s former colleagues. “Sooo fun!” Longoria added in the post’s comments. Posh also shared her husband’s video of the mini-show, captioning it “Best night ever! Happy Birthday to me! I love you all so much!”

The party might be a taste of things to come, if recent remarks made by Brown are any indication. In an appearance on Today earlier this month, Brown said that “us five are working on something that is going to be announced soon,” and told another show, Loose Women, “we are definitely doing something” (but didn’t way what).

Beckham didn’t allude to any reunions when she spoke to the Times, but she didn’t rule anything out, either. “I’m excited about the future,” she said. “The thing with aging is that it is what it is … generally I feel good about things. I have better opportunities now than I did when I was younger.”

It’s important to remember that we’re talking about *the* Posh Spice, though. We’re not meant to question her sometimes daring fashion choices, even at the airport, where practicality almost always wins out over style. Clearly she made it onto her flight and to NYC just fine. More than fine, really, because we all know that heels and a good outfit are paramount to the Beckham matriarch’s happiness. Sure, I probably wouldn’t follow her lead in this exact instance, but more power to anyone who wants to try.

Scroll down to see Beckham’s TSA-defying in-flight look in full. In the off chance that you’re also not ready to press copy and paste on her Balenciaga bottoms but still want to mimic the overall airport ensemble, I went ahead and added a few pairs of leggings that don’t have heels attached to them for you to shop ahead of your next trip.

9 Major Trends That Will Define Fall/Winter Fashion

    [ad_1]

It took a while—and over 1000 runway images—to finally wrap our heads around the contents of fashion month. For the first time in a long time, the runways this fall/winter season had an almost tangible air of newness to them, with a handful of designer debuts—including Daniel Lee at Burberry and Ludovic de Saint Sernin at Ann Demeulemeester—and a number of veterans successfully refreshing their brands in the eyes of the fashion community. Most substantial, though, were the trends presented by these designers and so many more, who managed to deliver some of the most unexpected groupings we’ve seen in ages that somehow still fit within the current zeitgeist.

Tory Burch, Miuccia Prada for Prada and Miu Miu, Anthony Vaccarello for Saint Laurent, and Matthieu Blazy for Bottega Veneta all seemed to grasp what so many have tried and failed to in the past—that is, what women actually wear. In a relatable move, Prada sent models down the runway at Miu Miu looking intentionally frazzled, having remembered to wear stockings and outerwear but forgotten pants and a hairbrush.

Elsewhere, Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent collection displayed a contrasting glimpse of the female form, one that’s strict in its put-togetherness, utilizing intensely strong tailoring and powerful silhouettes to get his message across. Finally, at Loewe, Ferragamo, and Jil Sander, our desire for comfort played out in the form of furry footwear, fashionable security blankets, and apparel fitted with oversize hoods.

Determine which of the above fits your current mindset by scrolling through the nine trends from the fall/winter 2023 runways below.

11 Reasons Victoria Beckham Looks So Amazing at 49

    [ad_1]

I’m lucky enough in my job to have access to celebrity facialists, top beauty brands, and the best experts in the industry, but I’ve noticed more and more that it’s A-listers themselves who are becoming all the more influential when it comes to serving up legitimately good beauty advice. Of course, celebrities like Beyoncé and Jennifer Aniston are surrounded by the beauty industry’s cream of the crop on a daily basis—from makeup artists to French hairstylists—so it’s really no surprise that they’ve picked up some expert beauty tips along the way. There’s one celebrity in particular, however, whose skincare knowledge I trust more than most: Victoria Beckham.

With her very own beauty line under her belt and a dedicated beauty reel of product recommendations and top tips on her Instagram, Beckham’s love of all things beauty is obvious. Her passion for products combined with how open she has been about her skincare journey from Spice Girl to bonafide fashion designer means that she’s a lady that I have really come to trust when it comes to beauty tips. Plus, there’s the fact that at 49 years old, she looks damn incredible.

  • I Ranked the Celeb-Favorite Beauty Products I Was Influenced to Buy This Year

I Ranked the Celeb-Favorite Beauty Products I Was Influenced to Buy This Year

    [ad_1]

My name is Kaitlyn McLintock, and sometimes, I’m influenced by celebrities to buy things. There, I said it. As a beauty editor, it’s easy to blame it on my job and call it “research” or “due diligence.” After all, I can’t crown a certain product as the best without comparing it to all of the others on the market, right? That’s true, but if I’m being honest, it’s more than that. It’s also about the fact that I want to have the best beauty products at my disposal. If a celebrity, who has access to basically anything they want, uses or recommends something, I want it.

Let me be clear. I’m not necessarily looking for celebrity endorsements. I’m interested in the products they use without being compensated for using them or, at the very least, products they’ve created themselves. Say what you will about celebrity beauty brands, but if they’re slapping their name on something, they have to believe in it at least a little bit.

This year, I bought and tested a lot of celeb beauty products. I, however, only felt a few were worth the money, and I figured I’d share them with you. Ahead, see all the celeb-favorite beauty products I used this year, ranked from most to least favorite.

The $15 Trend That In-the-Know Fashion People Are Wearing With *Everything*

    [ad_1]

If you’re simultaneously obsessed with the latest micro-trends and too intimidated to test them out, you’ve come to the right place. This is Ways to Wear, a monthly series where editor Eliza Huber offers a dose of outfit inspiration focused on current trends that feel intriguing yet overwhelming at the same time. Consider it your guide to actually wearing the coolest items of the moment, no matter how puzzling they might appear at first.

Even the chicest outfits can fall flat sometimes if they’re missing a certain level of oomf. Everything about them can be perfect, from the fit to the color combinations and so on, but without that finishing touch that ties it all together, the sartorial spark will never light. And right now, the easiest and most cost-effective way to fire up your outfits is with hosiery. Yes, I said hosiery, and no, I don’t mean pantyhose.

From red and burgundy tights to knee-high sheer socks, the world of hosiery is one full of possibilities. And of all the leg décor that’s trending among fashion people this year, the style making the most significant impact by far is fishnets. Once considered tacky and more than a touch costumey, in recent seasons, the latticed tights have received a dressed-up makeover, with brands such as Gucci, Tory Burch, and Victoria Beckham pairing them with elegant dresses and separates, adding a touch of intrigue to every combination. They balance out any outfit, ensuring that no ensemble ever risks being called boring.

Victoria Beckham Just Launched 3 New Fragrances, and Yes, They're Extremely Posh

Fragrance notes: Black cherry, red peppercorn, rose, midnight violet, and tobacco leaves.

This one was inspired by another trip the Beckhams took. This time, it was in 2004. David Beckham surprised Victoria with a vow renewal and a second honeymoon in Paris. They stayed in Suite 302 at a “storied hotel.” As such, it’s reminiscent of glamour and luxury, taking inspiration from fine wine, cosmetics, leather goods, and expensive cologne.

To me, this smells like a classic, designer fragrance—albeit a fruit-forward one thanks to the top note of black cherry. The following rose and violet notes add a touch of sweet florals, and the tobacco leaves add a subtle smokey quality. It’s a rich and strong scent, and while I like it, I think I’d be hard-pressed to find an event to wear it to, as I tend to choose warmer, subtler scents instead.

Britney Spears and Jada Pinkett Smith demonstrate the delicate dance of the celeb memoir | CNN

    [ad_1]

    CNN
     —

Would you want to revisit your life and your past in order to share it all, both the good and the bad?

I certainly wouldn’t, but I’m not famous nor do I have famous people problems (knock on wood). Being a celebrity is something many people dream about, but while the riches certainly make life more comfortable, what comes a long with it probably isn’t what most of us would want.

    Let’s talk about it.

Both Britney Spears and Jada Pinkett Smith grasp the concept that drama sells.

Before their memoirs – Spears’ book is titled “The Woman in Me” and Pinkett Smith’s is “Worthy” – were recently released, there were plenty of tabloid treats from them teased throughout the media landscape.

The two biggest revelations from the stars’ tomes both happened to involve their celebrity relationships.

Spears shared that she had an abortion during her time with Justin Timberlake in the early aughts, while Pinkett Smith went public with the news that she and Will Smith have been living separate lives since 2016.

While both of these revelations sparked conversation, they also showed how there’s a delicate dance when it comes to the art of publishing a celebrity tell-all.

On the one hand, you have to share enough to get people excited for the book. Yet at the same time you don’t want to reveal too much, because then what is the incentive to purchase said book?

It should be said, though, that both Spears and Pinkett Smith are most probably used to a lot of attention by now.

David Beckham and Victoria Beckham in 2004.

Another instance of a star laying it all out there for public consumption is the “Beckham” docuseries on Netflix.

I am far from a soccer fan, but I greatly enjoyed visiting the highs – and lows – of David Beckham’s stellar career. The series is really well done and filmmaker Fisher Stevens got both Beckham and his wife, Spice Girls member Victoria Beckham, to open up about difficult times.

One of those tough times featured in the doc is the decades-old alleged affair between David Beckham and his former personal assistant Rebecca Loos.

In a recent interview, Loos complained that Beckham was portraying “himself as a victim” in the series. That’s another tricky area when it comes to celebs telling their life stories – it affects others who were also there, and who are portrayed via the star’s lens and recollections.

    Taylor Swift performs during the

At this point I am aiming to see how many newsletters in a row I can talk about Taylor Swift.

This time it’s the fact that she’s dropping “1989 (Taylor’s Version),” Swift’s latest rerecording of her old music after losing her masters.

Yes, much of the recent attention paid to Swift has more to do with her love life than her love of music, but if you know Swift you know that there is a direct correlation between the two.

I don’t even have to sell it here because it’s Taylor Swift, the star of the moment, and her music. Enough said – except that the new(ish) album debuted Friday.

    Fabrice Morvan attends the

Reader you know it’s true – Milli Vanilli was the duo to beat back in the day. Rob Pilatus and Fab Morvan had hits in the late 1980s/early 1990s and were flying high in the music industry.

    Until they weren’t.

A new self-titled documentary traces their rise and eventual fall when the world learned they weren’t actually singing on those songs. It’s a more tender look at the pair than one might expect, given the vitriol that was spewed about the controversy at the time which resulted in their best new artist Grammy being revoked.

The “Milli Vanilli” documentary is streaming on Paramount+.

  • 6 Style-Minded Scents Usher In a New Kind of Fragrance Wardrobe

6 Style-Minded Scents Usher In a New Kind of Fragrance Wardrobe

    [ad_1]

“I see fragrance as an extension of my wardrobe,” says Victoria Beckham, whose collection this fall goes beyond deconstructed trench coats and plush turtlenecks to include three debut scents. “You are tapping into all the senses when smell becomes a factor. It’s how you dress yourself.” There is merit to having a signature perfume—an aide-mémoire that lingers in your absence—but a cache of design-minded fragrances makes the case for a sartorial array. Here, six tastemakers riff on their creations, imagining which clothing item best reflects what’s worn on the wrist.

    Gabriela Hearst | Paysandú

The Uruguay-born designer expands her brand this fall with two fragrances, created with Fueguia 1833. “Both scents, Paysandú and New York, are pieces of my childhood, my memories, and my soul, in a way,” she says. A nod to her motherland, Paysandú is a resinous blend layered with jazmín del país and the medicinal herb carqueja. She sees it with a knit wrap from her line, made by artisans from the nonprofit Manos del Uruguay.

Frédéric Malle | Heaven Can Wait

To Malle, Heaven Can Wait reads like “second skin—it’s a mood rather than a moment,” he says of the latest by perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena. Evoking “intimacy and warmth,” with notes of clove, carrot seed, and iris, the fragrance seems to find its textile equivalent in bed linens and little else. Malle instead suggests a worn-out sweatshirt, unfussy in its deep comfort, to accompany this “very soft yet textured perfume.”

Tory Burch | Essence of Rose

“I design fragrances the same way I design my collections: They are tools for self-expression,” says Burch. Her new scented oils—odes to rose, sandalwood, and vetiver, ideal for layering— stoke that creative impulse. Her favorite is a calibrated mix of Bulgarian rose and bergamot, akin to nailing the “ideal balance of silhouette, fabric, and fit in a jacket.” Fall’s two-piece ivory look with exposed boning strikes the same tone: “romantic and sensual.”

    Victoria Beckham | Portofino ’97

“Fragrance for me is emotional and subjective,” says Beckham, who calls her trio of perfumes “extremely personal.” Suite 302 (tobacco, black cherry) conjures a night in Paris; San Ysidro Drive (saffron, incense) captures a stretch of LA life. This citrusy postcard from the Italian Riviera recalls her first trip with David Beckham—young lovers escaping the limelight. An aquamarine dress for fall, adorned with a plume, fits the occasion.

    Armando Cabral | Mahogany Kora

The designer and model collaborated with perfume studio D.S. & Durga for this limited edition, featuring notes like papyrus, atlas cedar, and calabash nutmeg. “It takes me back to the ’60s in Mali, a time well-documented by the great Malian portraitist Seydou Keïta,” says Cabral. For him, a soft-texture white suit projects a “sense of elegance and depth, echoing the fragrance’s sophisticated nature.”

    Loveshackfancy | Forever in Love

Once the type to faithfully wear a signature perfume, founder Rebecca Hessel Cohen came to appreciate the idea of an olfactive wardrobe. “It’s just like your actual closet in fragrance form—different scents for different seasons, moods, times of day,” she says. Of the three new scents, Forever in Love is her morning pick. “It’s gardenia and green pear—so open and optimistic.” The brand’s Ruffle miniskirt mirrors its flirtatious personality.

  • Victoria Beckham’s 15 Engagement Rings Couldn’t Be More Unique

Victoria Beckham’s 15 Engagement Rings Couldn’t Be More Unique

    [ad_1]

When it comes to engagement rings, celebrities certainly are in a league all their own. As far as jaw-dropping styles go, however, no one does it better than Victoria Beckham, whose jewelry collection includes 15 engagement rings. Yes, you read that right. David Beckham bought the former Spice Girl a record 15 sparklers, over the course of their 26-year relationship. And Victoria Beckham’s engagement rings couldn’t be more unique.

When the stylish couple first got engaged in 1998, the footballer, and star of Netflix’s “Beckham,” proposed with a marquise-cut diamond set. Later, she had upgrade after upgrade, including some engagement rings that are big enough to double as mirrors.

One of her biggest updates was in 2003, when she switched to an emerald-cut diamond, surrounded by baguettes and set in platinum. The following year, for her 30th birthday, Beckham received a pink, oval-cut diamond in a halo setting that’s reportedly worth $1.1 million. More recently, she’s been spotted wearing a square-cut yellow diamond set on a pavé band.

Another standout ring is the 15-carat, emerald-cut diamond Beckham received in 2008. Designed by Chopard, that sparkler is set on a pavé band. She was also gifted a huge sapphire for her 10th engagement ring, a trend inspired by Princess Diana that’s still persists today.

Read on to see almost every engagement ring Victoria Beckham owns — and stay tuned for updates as David Beckham inevitably buys her more.

  • 25 Times David and Victoria Beckham Coordinated Outfits, From the ’90s to Today

25 Times David and Victoria Beckham Coordinated Outfits, From the ’90s to Today

    [ad_1]

David and Victoria Beckham have been together since 1997, memorably tying the knot at a lavish ceremony in Dublin, where they wore matching purple outfits with 3D florals to cut their cake. But the Hollywood couple have seen so many red carpets, runway shows, and royal weddings together since then, many of which they attended with their kids, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper. With the release of the Netflix docuseries “Beckham,” which follows David’s soccer career, we’re offered a nostalgic glimpse of the duo’s approach to mastering fashion trends in the ’90s and ’00s.

David, 48, and Victoria, 49, might have attended the UK “Beckham” premiere in his-and-her suiting, rocking midnight navy and white, respectively, but they’ve coordinated in plenty more styles throughout the ages. From all-black leather at a Versace store appearance to acid wash denim at a Whitney Houston concert in 1999, they’ve managed to keep their wardrobes in sync. On Sept. 29, David supported Victoria at her Fashion Week runway show in Paris, sitting front row with his children and Vogue’s Anna Wintour, just as he does each and every season. The athlete and fashion designer also enjoyed a trip to Versailles for the Jacquemus Le Chouchou presentation this past June, where they sported lightweight separates from the brand at the photo call, accessorizing their neutral pieces with dark sunglasses.

Ahead, look back at 25 of David and Victoria Beckham’s most iconic moments together, from casual courtside appearances and dinners at Nobu to the British Fashion Awards and the annual Met Gala.

Victoria Beckham and Margot Robbie Swear By These Luxe, Line-Smoothing Eye Masks

    [ad_1]

When we said luxe, we meant it. This little black box retails for $115 and contains eight individual eye masks. It’s certainly a steep price relative to some of the other eye masks on the market, but each one contains a cocktail of good-for-skin active ingredients.

The hero ingredients are retinol, niacinamide, and peptides. Although, there’s also hyaluronic acid and rose-hip extract. Together, they promise to moisturize, plump, brighten, and smooth the under-eye area for a luminous and well-rested appearance. And it only takes 20 minutes of wear to reap all the benefits. So yeah, it’s no wonder celebs swear by them.
