Taylor Swift’s got a long list of ex-boyfriends. That much we already know. There’s an entire song about it. But her recent engagement to Travis Kelce is a commitment from the singer and the football player that she won’t have any more, and that all future songs from her will either be happy… or fictional. But how do her ex-boyfriends feel about her engagement and about the fact that they will now be the only ones to get breakup songs?
Well, one of them had a very loud reaction to her engagement. A mere hours after Swift and Kelce confirmed the news that they were indeed going to tie the knot, Taylor Lautner went on social media to react to the news. The Twilight hunk reshared a post from the NFL to support his ex and her future husband, proving there’s no bad blood between them. Not at all.
The post from the NFL featured a split image of one of the couple’s engagement photos with one of the two on the football field, celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs winning the AFC Championship back in January of this year. The text on the photo reads: “I cannot believe this is really happening,” which is what Taylor said to Travis when his team won. The NFL captioned the post: “Same,” a clear nod to the couple’s engagement. Taylor Swift is now NFL royalty, after all.
Of all her exes, Taylor has perhaps always had the best relationship with Lautner, and the two are now reportedly very good friends. Long gone are the days when Swift sang “It turns out freedom ain’t nothing but missin’ you” after they broke up in the song “Back to December.” They briefly dated for a few months in 2009 while filming the ensemble romantic comedy Valentine’s Day. Years later, the duo rekindled their relationship, and Lautner and his wife, Taylor Dome, are reportedly now close with the singer, which explains the social media reaction.
And these aren’t just anonymous reports, either. Swift herself confirmed it. “He was a very positive force in my life when I was making the Speak Now album, and I want to say he did every single stunt that you saw in that music video,” Swift said at her Eras Tour concert in Kansas City, as she brought Lautner on stage to premiere the music video he appears in for her song “I Can See You.” She added: “He and his wife have become some of my closest friends, and it’s very convenient because we all share the same first name.”
We can imagine the jokes about that.
As for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement, it might have just been announced on August 26, but a source told Page Six that Travis proposed to Taylor a “couple weeks” before the two made the announcement. An exact date hasn’t been confirmed. This, however, means Travis and Taylor likely got engaged mid-August, you know, around the time she appeared on the “New Heights” podcast hosted by the Kelce brothers and announced her 12th album,The Life of a Showgirl. All in a day’s work when you’re Taylor Swift, apparently.
Even her friends don’t really seem surprised if they’re joking about it. Just really happy for her.
“I actually just received my 12th text of people being like, ‘Taylor Kelce?’” said Taylor Swift fan Shannon Duncan.
The two fandoms are all a buzz following the Enchanted engagement announcement.
“My sister texted me. I got a news notification. My other sister texted me,” said Taylor Swift fan Kelly Dopak. “Some lady in front of us started talking about it. She was wearing a Taylor Swift t-shirt, like, ‘How did you know this was happening today?’”
It is official: The Prophecy has been fulfilled, and Swift and Kelce are End Game.
“Great job Kelce. You chose well,” said Eddie Hill. “He’s one of the biggest stars in the NFL. She’s one of the biggest stars in the world. Nothings bigger than that… huge.”
The post showed off photos in a flower-filled garden straight out of many of our Wildest Dreams and Swift’s “So High School” as the attached sound, a scene mirroring the romanticism Swifties know All Too Well.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially engaged.
Meta says the couple’s Instagram post broke the record for the most reposts on the social media site and got over 14 million likes just in the first hour.
Now, Swifties worldwide are envisioning the songstress standing in a nice dress, staring at the sunset for what wedding event planners have appropriately called “the Super Bowl of Weddings.”
“Being America’s sweethearts, they are a royal couple, and I knew this was going to break the internet,” said Big City Bride Founder Susan Cordogan. “What Travis and Taylor do will be its own brand. It will be one of one that will echo through generations of events.”
Cordogan has spent three decades planning VIP weddings and already anticipates this one will set the stage for trends for future weddings.
“It’s not only going to be wildly influential in the wedding world; it’s going to be wildly influential in style, in decor, parties, get-togethers,” Cordogan said. “Taylor Swift is such an influence on weddings already, from her music, often the first dance to her look.”
This August, it’s not a Cruel Summer anymore. Even ABC7 Chicago AccuWeather Meteorologist Cheryl Scott is getting in on the fun.
ABC7 Chicago AccuWeather Meteorologist Cheryl Scott shares her Taylor Swift-inspired forecast after the pop star announced her engagement to Travis Kelce.
And ABC7 has already heard of people in our area planning engagement parties for the couple.
The couple’s engagement announcement comes on the heels of Swift announcing her newest album. Fans will parse through lyrics for Easter egg for hints on plans for the big day, when the couple’s Love Story will officially be Forever & Always.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may have announced their engagement on Tuesday afternoon but the Kansas City Chiefs star’s father spilled the beans on when his son actually proposed.
Ed Kelce told a local Cleveland TV station that the three-time Super Bowl champion proposed about two weeks ago. The photos posted on Swift’s Instagram account showed the tight end down on one knee, surrounded by flowers in a garden setting.

“Travis actually did the proposal, oh, maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks ago,” Ed Kelce told News 5 Cleveland on Tuesday. “He was going to put it off ‘til this week. I think she was getting maybe a little antsy, but he was going to put her off ‘til this week, to, you know, make some grand thing, to make it a big special event.
“And I told him repeatedly, you know, you could do it on the side of the road, do it any place that makes it a special event … when you get down on one knee and ask her to marry you.”
Ed Kelce said that Travis proposed in a garden in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

“He got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said, ‘Let’s go out and have a glass of wine.’ … They got out there, and that’s when he asked her, and it was beautiful,” he added. “They started FaceTiming me and their mother and her folks to make sure everybody knew. So, to see them together is great.”
Ed Kelce said he was at Philadelphia Eagles practice when he received the call. The beaming father couldn’t have been happier for his son and soon-to-be daughter-in-law.
Kelce and Swift’s relationship had been a focal point of the NFL season since she showed up to Arrowhead Stadium to support the Chiefs tight end against the Chicago Bears. Since then, Swift routinely attended games in Kansas City and was there two years ago to watch the Chiefs go to the Super Bowl.

It’s a love story, and roommates, Taylor Swift said YES to Travis Kelce! The couple is engaged after two years of courtship in front of her eager fans, a.k.a the Swifties! In a social media post, the superstar singer and football player revealed their major life update. Now, the engagement is the talk of the internet!
Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Share Engagement Photos
When they met, Travis Kelce was a famous football player — a star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs and a Super Bowl champion — but Taylor Swift’s level of fame is like no other. Their relationship truly made him global, thanks to the Swifties. Fans and media have documented plenty of public gestures in the last two years, from Taylor celebrating at Chiefs games to fan videos of Travis Kelce dancing at her Eras concert tour. Still, there’s been some trolling and doubts about the relationship’s authenticity. In the end, though, the couple paid it dust and kept publicly dating. Most recently, she appeared on her future brother-in-law’s podcast and talked about how hard she ignores the critics of their relationship.
“We don’t, really. I don’t see a lot of things,” Taylor told Jason Kelce. “My name can be in the actual headline, and it’s none of my business.”
After two years of moving like THAT, Taylor Swift is rocking an engagement ring that could compete with her fiancé’s three Super Bowl rings. As mentioned, the newly engaged couple shared their big news in a five-photo joint Instagram post on Tuesday (August 26). She showed off her stunning ring while standing in a garden with her fiancé. The superstar wore a striped Ralph Lauren dress and a Cartier diamond-encrusted watch on her left wrist.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the caption read, accompanied by an emoji of a dynamite stick.
It’s unclear when and where the two 35-year-olds got engaged, but it’s a first for them both. According to the Associated Press, an hour after hearing from their publicists about the engagement, Kelce was stretching for practice in Kansas City, Missouri.
What To Know About Taylor Swift’s ROCK
One thing Taylor Swift’s fans know about her, sis loves her vintage style! So, it’s no surprise that her now-fiancé took notes and executed the vision with her engagement ring. The cut of the diamond reportedly dates back to the 18th century and is known as an old mine brilliant cut. Old mine brilliant cuts are often boxy shaped with rounded corners and soft curved edges. Taylor Swift’s diamond is in a yellow gold bezel setting. Such diamonds usually have 58 large facets. Additionally, the bulky nature of the cut is meant to sparkle by candlelight.
According to BRIDES, experts estimate the ring could cost upwards of $500,000. Meanwhile, several experts who spoke to PEOPLE estimated the price would be between $250,000 and up to $1.5 million.
Swift’s publicist, Tree Paine, said Kindred Lubeck crafted the unique piece. According to her website bio, Lubeck is a goldsmith who specializes in hand engraving and collects vintage jewelry. She is based in New York and operates Artifex Fine Jewelry. She is the daughter of Jay Lubeck, a well-known goldsmith in Neptune Beach, Florida.
Daddy Kelce Approves Of Taylor BTW
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship featured prominently in the six-part ESPN documentary The Kingdom. The project chronicles the Chiefs’ failed pursuit of an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl title last season. Kelce’s parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, joined him on the red carpet for the premiere last Sunday. The event took place at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City. While there, Ed didn’t hold back on what he thinks of Taylor.
“She’s very good for him. I don’t hesitate in saying that,” Ed said of his future daughter-in-law. “They are two people that truly deserve each other.”
Taylor Swift’s summer seems to be anything but cruel: Hot on the heels of announcing her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl, and its attendant 97,000 vinyl variants (so far), with Travis Kelce at her side, the pair made another big announcement Tuesday. In a joint Instagram post, the couple shared news of their engagement, Swift flashing a 10-plus-carat cushion-cut diamond ring in a fairytale garden crammed with the lushest of blooms.
The message is clear: Karma is her fiance, thankyouverymuch.
Just over a month before she drops her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, and a week and change away from the Kansas City Chiefs’ season opener, Swift and Kelce have once again snatched the day’s headlines together by sharing the happy news. Don’t spend it all in one place? Nah, they seem to say, blow the bank. Scrooge McDuck the currency of happiness and success.
It’s a marked change from the past two years of Swift and Kelce’s public relationship: As the so-called dads, Brads, and Chads sniveled about seeing Swift cheering during cutaways at NFL games and complained about the star “ruining” the sport (if it’s that easy to ruin, how big of fans could they have been in the first place?) and analysts wrung their hands about the possibility of the singer being a distraction, Swift and Kelce kept their profile as low as possible for two of the world’s most famous people. Yes, they kept showing up for one another’s professional triumphs, but stepped carefully to minimize critique.
Now? They’re done playing coy. If Swift ever had an ounce of division between her work and her personal life, she set it on fire when she featured Kelce in an onstage Eras Tour cameo scooping her off the ground in the “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” intro in London, dropped dynamite on it by announcing The Life of a Showgirl on his podcast with a two-hour conversation with him and brother Jason Kelce, and then threw in some napalm for good measure by soundtracking this engagement post with “So High School,” a song she wrote about him. He’s part of her work and her life, at this point, and the world’s just going to have to live with that. Contrast that with lyrics from Swift’s 2022 Midnights track “Lavender Haze,” in which she laments that “all they keep askin’ me is if I’m gonna be your bride / The only kind of girl they see is a one-night or a wife.” (Kelce gets the questions too.) Then-Taylor waved the question off. Now-Taylor has gone full Miss Americana, donning a white silk Polo Ralph Lauren sundress with black pinstripes, complemented by Kelce’s classic navy cable-knit short-sleeve polo sweater by the same brand, and smiling huge, flashing that enormous Artifex Fine engagement ring and letting people think what they’ll think.
Even Donald Trump, who seems to have a one-sided rivalry with Swift and recently shared his opinion that she was “NO LONGER HOT” since he declared his hatred for her (Sydney Sweeney, on the other hand, was “HOTTEST,” he said, since finding out she’s a registered Republican in the wake of her American Eagle “good jeans” campaign fiasco), was forced to sigh and accept the news. A journalist broke the news to Trump as he emerged from a Cabinet meeting and asked for his reaction.
“Well, I wish him a lot of luck,” Trump said. “I think he’s a great player. I think he’s a great guy. And I think that she’s a terrific person. So I wish them a lot of luck.”
So much for Trump being “not a Taylor Swift fan” and liking apparent Republican Brittany Mahomes “much better than Taylor Swift,” as he proclaimed ahead of last year’s Super Bowl, eh?
Swift, who again wore that diamond-trimmed Cartier watch she’s been so fond of recently in the couple’s engagement photos, probably won’t say anything about it, just like she didn’t say anything about him using an AI photo of her implying her endorsement, or several of his other slams and fibs. Why should she humor it with a response? As she herself sang in The Tortured Poets’ Department’s “But Daddy I Love Him,” “No, you can’t come to the wedding.”
As she said on New Heights, her relationship with Kelce “is what I’ve been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager.” She bought back her masters, and now she’s owning her narrative right along with them. As her tyrannical hot girl cult pairs off one by one—Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, the list goes on—Swift, too, is growing up to live the reality she’s been writing for herself all along, no apologies necessary or offered.
You’ve been waiting for it and finally, one photograph changed the lives of Swifties everywhere: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged. This news comes after months of speculation from Taylor Swift’s most devoted fanbase.
When Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce began dating each other, fans instantly speculated that this was going to end up with the two getting married. And with each passing season that Kelce has been tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, it has furthered that speculation. But now, it is official: The two are getting married!
The news comes right after Swift announced the title for her next album, The Life of a Showgirl. There is no news yet if songs on the album are inspired by Kelce and their relationship but the album will be released on October 3.
Swift shared the news by writing “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married” in the caption. Now, those are the best paid English and gym teachers in the game but hey, it is a pretty apt description of the two of them. In the photographs, Swift shared a close up shot of her engagement ring, the two surrounded by flowers, and one of her and Kelce on a swing together.
Writer Sophie Vershbow pointed out that the engagement is sweet because Swift did take her time finding the right match for her when it comes to Kelce. “An intelligent woman dating many different men until she finds the right match instead of settling for a ring from the wrong partner. We love to see it.”
Somehow, a boy from Ohio convinced a girl from Pennsylvania to marry him and that is the true story here. But it is exciting to see how happy Swift is with Kelce and we wish the two the best!

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Swift, who wore a striped Polo Ralph Lauren sundress in the photos, wrote in the caption. Kelce wore a cableknit sweater, also by Polo Ralph Lauren.
The couple have been dating publicly for nearly two years. Their debut, when Swift showed up in a VIP box at a Kansas City Chiefs game on September 24, 2023 to cheer Kelce on, was Jumbotron-worthy. After the football player’s team won, the pair literally rode off into the sunset in a convertible after weeks of rumors that they were dating. In the months following (with a side of seemingly ranch), the couple’s profiles only got bigger: Swift continued on her globe-spanning Eras Tour, and Kelce and the Chiefs went all the way to a Super Bowl win, with both parties literally cheering each other on along the way. Swift became a fixture at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium when her tour dates permitted, and managed a wild feat of time zone management and air travel to make it to Las Vegas from Japan in time to watch the Chiefs take the W in the big game and provide victory smooches and go to karaoke after. For his part, Kelce trotted to multiple continents including South America, Australia, Asia, Europe (a bunch of times, including an on-stage cameo), and, of course, home sweet North America.
It makes sense that Kelce would keep that streak of Eras tour appearances going: It was an important part of their origin story. He saw Swift perform in his adopted hometown of Kansas City in July 2023 and tried to shoot his shot with his then-crush by delivering a beaded friendship bracelet with his phone number on it. It didn’t work, he moaned on an episode of New Heights, the podcast he co-hosts with brother Jason Kelce, saying, “She doesn’t meet anybody, or at least, she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal. But it was an unbelievable show.” That got Swift’s attention, evidently. As she revealed in an interview with TIME, “This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell.”
“We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other,” she said. “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple.”

The photo slideshow was set to one of Swift’s songs, So High School, from her album The Tortured Poets Department. The song describes the emotions and journey of a high school crush, referencing teenage memories like playing truth or dare and spin the bottle, watching your crush play the video Grand Theft Auto, and watching American Pie together on a Saturday night.

A sparkling diamond ring can be seen on Swift’s finger. According to US Weekly, the ring is an old mine brilliant cut designed by Kindred Lubeck at Artifex Fine Jewelry.
Estate Diamond Jewelry’s Benjamin Khordipour told wedding site Brides that Swift’s ring “was handcrafted in 18k yellow gold and the center diamond is set with needle point prongs that perfectly match the antique style.”
“We estimate the price of her ring to be $550,000,” Khordipour said.

Swift recently shared details about the beginning of her relationship with Kelce in her nearly two-hour appearance on the New Heights podcast.
When Swift was discussing the Eras Tour, Kelce described it as a catalyst for his interest in Swift.
Swift said Kelce tried to meet her during her Eras Tour concert at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., in July 2023.

She joked that he “threw a man tantrum” when he wasn’t able to give her the friendship bracelet he had for her.
“This dude didn’t get a meet-and-greet and he’s making it everyone’s problem, that’s what I thought at first,” Swift shared.
But Swift went on to say that Kelce declaring his interest in dating her on his podcast was “wild.”

“It was such a wild, romantic gesture to just be like, ‘I want to date you,’” she said.
“That’s what it does when you’re on the stage and you perform in Arrowhead. That’s what it did to me,” Kelce added. “You come to Arrowhead, I get to meet you. That’s the perk of playing for the Chiefs.”
Swift said Kelce planned to meet her during the concert that night.
“You realize he didn’t even reach out to our management. I was like, when this podcast came out, I was like, ‘Did he ever reach out to be like, in the tents, or did we know he was in the building?” Swift said. “He came with Pat [Patrick Mahomes], and thought that because he knows the elevator lady, that he could talk to her about just getting down to my dressing room.”
The Fortnight singer went on to say that Kelce wanting to date her “felt more like I was in an ’80s John Hughes movie, and he was standing outside of my window with a boombox saying, ‘I want to date you! Do you want to go on a date with me? I made you a friendship bracelet! Do you want to date me?’”

Kelce went on to say he wanted Swift to “just meet me once, just give me a chance.”
“I was like, ‘If this guy’s not crazy, this is sort of what I’ve been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager,’” Swift said.
Swift is about to release her next album, The Life of a Showgirl, which will be released on Oct. 3. She wrapped up the Eras Tour, which covered 149 cities around the world and brought in more than $2 billion in revenue, in Vancouver, B.C., in December 2024.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are one of the beloved couples of the industry. While the two recently made headlines for their appearance on the New Heights podcast, the NFL star’s father gushed about his son’s girlfriend. Ed Kelce, while attending The Kingdom premiere, revealed to People Magazine that the Bad Karma crooner brings happiness into his son’s life.
When asked if he tuned into Travis and Jason Kelce’s episode of the podcast featuring Swift, Kelce claimed it was “so good.”
Ed Kelce talks about Taylor Swift
While in conversation with the media portal, Kelce revealed that “Taylor” is the cause of Travis Kelce’s happiness. He added, “There’s no question about it.” Furthermore, speaking of Swift’s episode of New Heights, the father of the NFL star said, “I think it was awesome.” He continued, “It was great to see them go back and forth. They’re two people obviously very much in love.”
Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs star has been dating the pop culture icon since 2023. The duo went on to meet at the Eras Tour concert; soon, the sparks flew, and the couple’s relationship took off.
The pair went public with their romance in October 2023, after they stepped into the Saturday Night Live afterparty, holding hands.
Meanwhile, Kelce and Swift went Instagram official after the NFL star shared pictures of himself and the singer in June 2024.
Moreover, after spending the summer together, Taylor Swift is “really looking forward” to supporting Kelce in the upcoming Super Bowl season. Travis will play his 13th game, which coincides with the Love Story crooner’s lucky number.
There are rumors that Swift might also perform at the Super Bowl halftime ceremony of 2026. The fans picked up on the singer’s Sourdough obsession and linked it to the mascot of the San Francisco 49ers.
Taylor Swift appeared to have set the standard when it comes to dating professional athletes.
Olivia Dunne, a national champion former gymnast at LSU, told Page Six in a recent interview that she’s looking to the pop star when it comes to navigating that world. Dunne is in a relationship with Pittsburgh Pirates star Paul Skenes.

But unlike Swift and Travis Kelce’s start, Dunne and Skenes had some familiarity with each other as they both went to LSU.
“(Taylor) has her boyfriend that’s a professional athlete and my boyfriend is a professional athlete as well,” she told the outlet. “And she has her own success and I have my own success, so I try to look at her perspective on things and how she handles criticism, how she navigates.”
Dunne said trying to date a pro athlete is its own beast because they’re always traveling, among the other challenges that come with it.
In Swift’s case, she’s presently the most popular recording artist in the world but she did receive some boos from NFL fans at Super Bowl LIX this past February.

“I think that she takes the heat a lot worse than I do, because, I mean, the bigger you are, the more people you have trying to tear you down,” Dunne added to Page Six. “It just really resonated with me. It’s a unique position to be in. And I think for some people, women in sports is uncomfortable for some reason.”
The dating life is far from the only thing that Dunne looks up to Swift for. She noted that the music icon seems to be dominating nearly every aspect of life at 35 years old.
“I admire her in so many different ways. Her work ethic, how much she cares about what she puts out there and how the meaning behind everything is very admirable.”

Taylor Swift‘s upcoming album release and her love of all things orange isn’t lost on her fans — or brands that are seeking a ride on what has become an enormous economic tailwind.
On Wednesday after Swift went on the “New Heights” podcast co-hosted by her boyfriend, NFL football star Travis Kelce, to announce the imminent release of her 12th studio album “The Life of a Showgirl,” major companies went into marketing overdrive.
Numerous corporations, from United Airlines to Olive Garden, began posting orange-hued memes on their own social media accounts soon after the new album was announced. Shake Shack, FedEx, Buffalo Wild Wings, Cinnabon, Walmart and Netflix did, too.
That’s because Swift appeared onstage wearing orange numerous times toward the end of her Eras Tour, and discussed her feelings about the color on the Wednesday podcast.
“It feels like energetically how my life has felt,” the 14-time Grammy winner tells co-host Jason Kelce.

Many, it seemed, saw value in tying their brand to Swift.
More than a dozen NHL teams, both north and south of the Canadian border, followed with posts on social media acknowledging Swift’s new album.
Even X got in on the action, declaring that it had a new profile pic: a glittery orange X. The post soon garnered 5.5 million views.
Google is using its search engine to celebrate the October release of Swift’s “The Life of a Showgirl.” Users who search for “Taylor Swift,” are greeted with a shower of orange digital confetti, along with a flaming orange heart and the phrase, “And, baby, that’s show business for you.”
Swift’s tour appearances have become economic events. The singer’s Eras Tour two years ago was the first such tour to cross the billion-dollar mark, according to Pollstar’s 2023 year-end charts. Cities and their surrounding areas registered a sizeable economic boost after Swift appeared, with thousands of fans making the pilgrimage and spending money at hotels, restaurants and elsewhere.
Swift also mentioned during the Wednesday podcast that she had Lasik eye surgery. In response, the X account for LASIK.com wasted no time promoting the fortuitous namedrop. The post had more than 450,000 views and 17,000 likes as of Friday.
About 500,000 Americans undergo Lasik every year, CBS News recently reported. And while the American Refractive Surgery Council says the complication rate is less than 1%, side effects are not uncommon and should not be taken lightly by those considering the procedure.
Swift’s two-hour chat with the Kelce brothers marks the singer’s first ever podcast interview, a milestone moment for the medium.
By Thursday afternoon, Wednesday night’s talk had already been seen more than 11.7 million times on YouTube. Clips distributed on Instagram, TikTok, X and elsewhere have received more than 400 million views, and the episode was also available for streaming on audio platforms.
It has further to go to be a record-setter, though. The most-watched podcast episode ever on YouTube, and likely the most-consumed podcast ever, is by a company called Thmanyah, a Saudi Arabian Arabic podcast network and independent journalism platform, according to its website. The video has racked up 144 million views in two years.
Taylor Swift is entering her latest era and she is sharing all the details with the Swifties in her nearly two-hour appearance on the New Heights podcast with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason Kelce.
The teaser for the episode revealed that the 35-year-old pop star would be talking about her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, which will be released on Oct. 3.
Swift unveiled the album cover once the episode aired on YouTube, which already has nearly 10 million views. Throughout the episode, Swift hit on subjects like her relationship with Travis, owning her entire catalogue of music and of course, the new album.

Now that the full-length podcast — or New Heights (Taylor’s Version) — has been released, here’s everything you need to know about Swift’s appearance and the new album.
The Life of a Showgirl was created during the Eras Tour
In the full episode, Swift told the Kelce brothers that she worked on the album in Europe while she was on the Eras Tour — flying between dates to record, truly embodying the album’s title, The Life of a Showgirl.
“How on earth did she do this on the tour is still blowing my mind,” Travis said.
The Cruel Summer singer said she just “loves music a lot.”

“I would do three shows in a row, I’d have three days off. I’d fly to Sweden, go back to the tour and actually, like, working on this, I was physically exhausted at this point in the tour, but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating,” Swift added.
Travis said his girlfriend was “literally living the life of a showgirl.”
Then she read the track list. The entire album was completed in Sweden with producers Max Martin and Shellback, who worked with Swift before on hits like I Knew You Were Trouble, Shake It Off and Blank Space.
“Do you want to see the back cover? The back cover is where we find the 12 tracks for my 12th album,” Swift said, before reading out each song title, including a collab with Sabrina Carpenter.
“This is the record I’ve been wanting to make for a very long time,” Swift added.
She also said the new album is about “what was going on behind the scenes during this tour, which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant.”
When it comes to The Life of a Showgirl, Swift wanted to make sure the new album had “melodies that were so infectious that you’re almost angry at it.”
She also wanted to create lyrics that were “just as vivid but crisp and focused and completely intentional.”

When asked about the album’s glittery, orange colour, Swift said it is “energetically how my life has felt.”
The major Easter egg Swift dropped for The Life of a Showgirl

Swift mentioned exiting through an orange door on the last date of the Eras Tour, which was a “subliminal hint that I may be leaving the Eras Tour era,” she said. “But I was also entering a new era.”
It was an Easter egg for The Life of a Showgirl.
“I would leave the stage every night going down the elevator lift. That’s how every single Eras show ended, except for one, except for the last one, where I exited through a door — an orange door, to be specific. And that actually was an Easter egg,” Swift explained.

Swift said she was “pretty happy” that the Swifties noticed that Easter egg.
“I was like, ‘I trained them well,’” she added.

Earlier in the episode, Swift also spoke about how she approaches Easter eggs for her fans.
“The art of the Easter egg is that there’s dos and don’ts, right? Like, I’m never going to plant an Easter egg that ties back to my personal life,” she said. “It’s always going to be towards music or … something I’m coming up with, something I have coming up, a plan I have coming together. Something that you don’t know I’m saying for a specific reason that you’ll hear later, and you’ll go back and be like, ‘Oh my God.’”

Swift added that she is drawn to numerology and she loves “math stuff” and dates.
She even shared that she has a special numeric connection with her boyfriend, Travis, whose football jersey number is 87. Swift said her favourite number is 13 and said that 87 plus 13 is 100, and they’re “numbers that have a specific significance.”
Swift’s mom and brother helped her buy her masters back
Swift discussed regaining control over her entire body of work. In May, it was announced that the pop star purchased her catalogue of recordings — originally released through Big Machine Records — from their most recent owner, the private equity firm Shamrock Capital. She did not disclose the amount.
Travis said Swift “reclaiming” her master recordings was “one of my favourite things this summer.”
“I signed a record deal when I was 15 and I kind of refer to it as I got my music back this summer but I never owned my music at all,” Swift explained. “Traditionally, a lot of record deals are set up in a way that artists don’t own what’s called their master recordings. Owning your master recordings means that you have complete control and power over distribution, licensing and essentially the way your legacy is shaped.”
She said that since she was a teenager, she’s been saving up money to buy her music back.

In order to gain the rights to her music, Swift said she sent her mother and brother to Los Angeles to discuss acquiring her music catalogue with Shamrock Capital.
“They sat down with Shamrock Capital and they told them what this meant for me,” she said. “They told them the whole story of all the times we’ve tried to buy it, all the times it’s fallen through.”
Swift revealed that she was told she acquired her master recordings a few months after the Super Bowl.
“I get a call from my mom and she’s like, ‘You got your music,’” Swift said, as she got emotional. “It’s literally been so long since this happened, and it’s every time I talk about it … I just like, very dramatically hit the floor for real. Honestly, just started like bawling my eyes out, and I’m just like, weeping.”
Travis said he also started crying when Swift got the news.
“I was blown away that you have been doing this your entire life and for your first six albums, you weren’t given the rights to all of that,” Travis added. “I know what that looked like and I know how much it burns you that you didn’t have that.”

How Travis and Swift began dating
When Swift was discussing the Eras Tour, Travis described it as a catalyst for his interest in Swift.
Swift said Travis tried to meet her during her Eras Tour concert at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., in July 2023.
She joked that he “threw a man tantrum” when he wasn’t able to give her the friendship bracelet he had for her.
“This dude didn’t get a meet and greet and he’s making it everyone’s problem, that’s what I thought at first,” Swift shared.

But Swift went on to say that Travis declaring his interest in dating her on his podcast was “wild.”
“It was such a wild, romantic gesture to just be like, ‘I want to date you,’” she said.
“That’s what it does when you’re on the stage and you perform in Arrowhead. That’s what it did to me,” Travis added. “You come to Arrowhead, I get to meet you. That’s the perk of playing for the Chiefs.”
Swift said Travis planned to meet her during the concert that night.
“You realize he didn’t even reach out to our management. I was like, when this podcast came out, I was like, ‘Did he ever reach out to be like, in the tents, or did we know he was in the building?” Swift said. “He came with Pat (Patrick Mahomes), and thought that because he knows the elevator lady, that he could talk to her about just getting down to my dressing room.”
The Fortnight singer went on to say that Travis declaring he wanted to date her on his podcast “felt more like I was in an ’80s John Hughes movie, and he was standing outside of my window with a boombox saying, ‘I want to date you! Do you want to go on a date with me? I made you a friendship bracelet! Do you want to date me?’”

Travis went on to say he wanted Swift to “just meet me once, just give me a chance.”
“I was like, ‘If this guy’s not crazy, this is sort of what I’ve been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager,’” Swift said.
She has become ‘obsessed’ with the NFL
The Love Story singer also opened up about how she is now “obsessed” with the NFL.
She said when she first started dating Travis, she was lost when it came to football terminology.
“I didn’t know what a first down was. I didn’t know what the chains were. I didn’t know what a tight end was.… Oh my God, I fell in love with it. I became obsessed with it,” Swift said. “I became a person who was running through the halls of my house screaming, ‘We drafted Xavier Worthy!’ My friends are like, ‘Who body-snatched you? What do you mean we drafted Xavier Worthy?’”
Swift also said her previous relationship with sports was when she sang the national anthem at games.
“My relationship with sports was like, you know, I grew up in Pennsylvania. I always heard my dad yelling at the screen watching Eagles games. That was always the sports sounds that I heard in my house,” she said. “However, I was up in my room, playing guitar, learning instruments, playing piano. I was focused on different things. I was so laser-focused on music, and that’s how it was in school.

“I would go to sporting events so I could sing the national anthem. Everything was a means to an end to get me to do music. I know every halftime show from the Super Bowls, but I didn’t watch the sports.”
Swift also joked about the complaints about her having screen time when she attends Travis’s games for the last two seasons.
“You guys have a lot of male sports fans that listen to your podcast and I think we all know that if there’s one thing male sports fans want to see in their spaces and on their screens, it’s more of me,” Swift said with a smile.
Jason Kelce is making it clear that he doesn’t play about his lil’ bro Travis Kelce as well as, his girlfriend Taylor Swift. In fact, the former NFL player let his actions speak for how far he’s willing to go for the couple.
Jason Kelce is blowing up on social media after he got into a lil’ confrontation with a football fan. Footage of the incident circulated on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, Nov. 2, capturing a heckler referring to his brother, Travis Kelce by a homophobic slur. The retired athlete was walking outside of Beaver Stadium in State College, Pennsylvania, during the Penn-State-Ohio State game, according to PEOPLE.
The clip kicks off with fans running alongside Jason and appearing star struck. One fan could be heard asking for a fist bump, while another shouts at him, “Hey Kelce, how does it feel that your brother’s a f****t dating Taylor Swift?”
Jason wasn’t feeling the troll’s rude comment. He quickly turned around, snatched the guy’s phone and smashed it on the ground. Additional footage captured the ESPN analyst slamming the phone against concrete before picking it back up and walking away. Later, another clip sees Jason stepping in front of the guy and clapping back with, “Who’s the f****t now?” before stepping off aggressively again.
Jason hasn’t responded to the footage or his reaction as of yet.

Social media users on X a.k.a Twitter quickly reacted to the video of Jason Kelce, and many commenters gave him props for checking the troll and standing ten toes down behind his brother and Taylor Swift.
A man is seen as a f*ggot for dating one of the most successful/sought after women in the world? pic.twitter.com/pVmUMy63UJ
And he did the right thing… no one would hear sh! about his brother and the girl he is dating especially if its Taylor Swift… we support Jason Kelce pic.twitter.com/7M389FCIhe
Note to bullies… maybe don’t come for Travis Kelce when his 6’3″, 295-pound brother is standing right there. That’s a lesson one Penn State student learned the hard way this weekend when Jason Kelce took matters (and the student’s phone) into his own hands after hearing an offensive comment about Travis and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
The incident occurred at Penn State University, where Jason was visiting for the Ohio State-Penn State game. What started as a friendly interaction with fans quickly turned sour when someone in the crowd hurled a homophobic slur at Travis over his relationship with Taylor, yelling, “how does it feel that your brother is a f***** for dating Taylor Swift?”
Video footage circulating on social media shows Jason turning to face the heckler before grabbing their phone and throwing it to the ground. In a follow-up clip, there appears to be a brief scuffle as the phone’s owner demanded it back, with Jason reportedly responding, “Who’s the f***** now?”
Representatives for both Jason and ESPN, where he works as a commentator, have not yet commented on the incident. However, social media has largely rallied behind Jason’s protective response, with many fans applauding him for standing up for his brother.
“I love this. Jason Kelce just took a stand for normal men against the “idiots who have become way too comfortable saying ridiculous shit to people who can actually kick their ass” crowd,” one social media user wrote on X. “Good for him.” Another added, “This is exactly how trolls should be handled in real life. Kudos to Jason Kelce.”
While some might question Jason’s reaction, it’s worth noting that the Kelce brothers have consistently shown nothing but public support for each other. Jason, along with his wife Kylie and their daughters, has embraced Taylor as part of their family, even attending her Eras Tour show in New Orleans in October 2024.
Despite the negativity from some corners, the Kelce-Swift connection has given us plenty of heartwarming moments, from Taylor cheering at Chiefs games to Travis’s surprise appearance during her Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium. And now we can add “Jason Kelce defending his brother’s happiness” to that list.
One thing’s for certain: you don’t want to mess with the Kelce family—especially when Jason’s around.
For Sidney and Chase, the Battle Against Each Other Pales to the Battle On Their Respective Teams.
In February of 2023 — when the Eagles reached the pinnacle of sports’ championship games with a berth in Super Bowl LVII — the matchup didn’t just feature a battle between Andy Reid and Nick Sirianni. It featured two future Hall of Famers both with the last name of Kelce.
For Travis and Jason — this game wasn’t simply of matchup of family — it was the peak of two professional careers that saw one of the finest centers in NFL history on opposing sidelines with one of it’s top All-Pro tight ends. Ms. Kelce, who was instrumental in bringing two NFL Pro Bowlers into the world — attended the game sporting merchandise for both the Eagles and the Chiefs.

On Sunday afternoon when the Eagles and Bengals face off in Cincinnati — two other brothers will be doing battle. For the Eagles Sidney Brown, it will a moment that he has been waiting for in duration for almost a year. Last year — in a December game against the Cardinals — Brown read a Kyler Murray mis-fire and patiently waited for the interception — already planning his next move as he quickly turned upfield and followed blockers 99 yards to put the Eagles up 14–3 on New Year’s Eve. One week later in week 18 of his rookie season against the Giants — he would tear his ACL and would be done for the season.
Last week — Sidney Brown re-joined the Eagles in the Metlife Stadium- the same location where he was injured last year. For Brown — drafted in 2023 by the Eagles — he rejoins a young Eagles secondary that is securing itself for years to come in preparation of NFC East dominance. His return is over-shadowed only by the Eagles top two rookie selections in 2024 that are now the focal point of an Eagles secondary ready to do battle with top-tier NFL receiver talent like Ja’Marr Chase, Malik Nabers, CeeDee Lamb, and Terry McLaurin.
In the 2023 NFL Draft — the same one that saw his brother taken by the Philadelphia Eagles — brought running back Chase Brown to the Cincinnati Bengals. For Chase — a rookie season where he racked up 335 yards over twelve games saw him trying to fit in amongst a running back room headlined by All-Pro Joe Mixon. In 2024, he is battling to save a 2–4 Bengals team and to take top-billing in a position battle with Zach Moss in his own running back room.
Sunday’s matchup of two Brown brothers will be less about the competition between each other and more about the competition within themselves to solidify a long-term future on two Super Bowl rosters for two teams trying to find that conference championship stature yet again.
“At the end of the day it’s the Cincinnati Bengals and the Philadelphia Eagles,” said Sidney Brown. “That’s my guy, someone I talk to like every single day.”
For Jalen Hurts and Joe Burrow In 2024 — the Best Football Is About to Be Played.
During the Covid-restricted 2020 NFL Draft — it was Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow who would become the first selection. As a sophomore at LSU — Burrow didn’t just break FBS records- he shattered them throwing sixty touchdowns in a season that captured not only the Heisman Trophy but also the National Championship.
In the opening week in 2020 — Burrow was the only one of the rookie quarterbacks to start before suffering a season-ending knee injury against Washington. Much like Jalen Hurts — Burrow’s second season was magical. The Bengals roared into the AFC Playoffs and defeated the Raiders 26–19, the Titans 19–16, and the Chiefs in Overtime stunning Arrowhead Stadium in the AFC Championship Game by a score 23–20 before falling to the Rams in Super Bowl LVI 23–20 — Cincinnati’s first appearance since 1988.
PHOTO: Philadelphia Eagles
And like the Eagles- the Bengals have been trying to get back to the Super ever since. In 2022, they would lose a rematch in the AFC Championship Game to those Chiefs. In 2023 — Cincinnati wouldn’t even qualify for the playoffs with a 10–8 record. So far in 2024 — the Bengals are 3–4 and clutching to the hope of a narrowing window that they can still make the AFC Playoffs with some Burrow and Ja’marr Chase late-season magic.
In perhaps one of the most quarterback-rich NFL Drafts since 1983 that included Justin Herbert, Jordan Love, and Tua Tagovailoa — Jalen Hurts was selected by the Eagles in the second round with the 53rd pick. Jalen’s path to become the franchise quarterback was quite different from Burrow’s. He had to supplant Carson Wentz — who had just signed a four-year $128 million extension a year earlier. But on a cold 2020 evening in Green Bay — when Wentz headed to the bench and Hurts headed to be the future of the Eagles — the era of Jalen began.
Two years later — the high-powered Eagles offense was also in the Super Bowl. Even now in 2024 — the Eagles are striving to overcome that loss to the Kansas City Chiefs 38–35. The team that Kansas City beat to earn a trip to Super Bowl LVI and a matchup against the Eagles was Burrow’s Cincinnati Bengals.
What is at stake this Sunday in Cincinnati isn’t just a week eight NFL matchup. For Burrow and the Chiefs — it’s a must-win home matchup. Five losses this early in the NFL season don’t bode well for a crowded AFC Playoff field. For Hurts, Barkley — it’s another matchup to prove that the Eagles offense is once again prolific with the return of Devonta Smith and Brown coupled with an Eagles defense that once again matches rookie talent against one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and a young secondary featuring Quinyon Mitchell desperately waiting for that first professional pick.
The answer to the question about whether Hurts or Burrow were the better pick themselves is not yet clear.
Shoutout to friends who gift luxury items to their pals! Just kidding—we know that the thought behind a gift is more important than the price tag. However, for Stevie Nicks, the two factors have somehow merged. The former Fleetwood Mac singer, as recently revealed, is big on gifting cashmere blankets to her loved ones, and she recently gifted one to Travis Kelce, the boyfriend of her friend Taylor Swift.
Nicks made the revelation in a new Rolling Stone interview while discussing what she enjoys doing besides being on the road for her never-ending musical tours.
“I haven’t been able to do a lot of creative things that I love in many, many years,” Nicks told the outlet. “I draw, I write songs, and I write poetry. I’d like to make a perfume because I actually have a smell that I love,” she said.
The Grammy winner added, “I like to design blankets. Cashmere blankets are my favorite thing. That is what I buy for my friends if there’s a special occasion. I bought Travis Kelce a blanket.”
Nicks revealed that her penchant for blankets dates back to 1977 when Don Henley and J.D. Souther, took her to a store in Los Angeles, where she purchased her first cashmere wrap. “I always laugh and say, ‘They taught me how to spend money,’” the Landslide performer shared.
Elsewhere in the interview, Nicks talked about her fondness for Swift, revealing she received a bracelet from the singer a year ago, which she hasn’t taken off since. She also expressed delight over her friend having Kelce—“a good man”—in her life.
Regarding the power couple’s relationship, the Rhiannon crooner expressed hopes that they end up becoming each other’s endgame, getting married, and having babies—if that’s what Swift wants, that is.
Travis’ brother Jason previously hinted at a collaboration with Nicks for an upcoming Christmas album. Rolling Stone confirmed the same in their new profile.
For his third holiday effort, the retired footballer will release A Philly Special Christmas Party with former teammates Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson. The offering will be out on November 29.
