Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s 11th Publicist in 5 Years Leaves

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s chief publicist, Meredith Maines, is stepping down from her role after one year in the job.

Us Weekly can confirm that Maines will no longer work for the Sussexes in her role as .Chief Communications Officer (CCO), which she began in January. Maines worked in conjunction with US-based PR firm, Method Communications. The Sussexes have cut ties with the consultants after seven months.

“After a year of inspiring work with Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Archewell, I will be pursuing a new opportunity in 2026,” Maines said in a statement to Us. I have the utmost gratitude and respect for the couple and the team, and the good work they are doing in the world.”

A spokesman for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said: “Meredith Maines and Method Communications have concluded their work with Archewell. The Duke and Duchess are grateful for their contributions and wish them well.”

Meanwhile, a source praised Maines’ skills, exclusively telling Us on Friday, December 26 that Maines is “best in class.”

“Anyone who has worked with Meredith knows she’s best in class — she’s no nonsense, highly strategic and has done it all. They’ve accomplished a ton over the past year and it’s time for what’s next,” the source said.

In May, Forbes reported that Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, added Method Communications to their communications team as they continued to grow their careers and community efforts.

“Chief Communications Officer Meredith Maines has retained the global firm Method Communications to bolster her team overseeing the growing business portfolio and philanthropic efforts of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex,” a spokesperson for the royals told the outlet at the time. “Method is an integrated PR and marketing agency specializing in high-growth tech and consumer brands. The Sussex team also recently welcomed Emily Robinson as Director of Communications. Method is serving as an extension of that team.”

Maines’ departure marks what is believed to be the 11th publicist to stop working for the couple in the past five years since Meghan and Harry stepped away from the British Royal Family in 2020.

Her exit comes after the couple’s director of communications, Emily Robinson, left her high-profile role after only a few months on the job in October.

“Ms. Robinson oversaw project-based work for a very successful season of With Love, Meghan and additional support for the production company,” a spokesperson for the Duchess of Sussex told Us Weekly in a statement on October 24. “She did an excellent job and completed these projects with great success.”

Robinson joined Meghan and husband Prince Harry’s team in June after a previous stint doing publicity for Netflix. The Times of London and People reported that Robinson left on her own accord.

Meghan has been accused in the past of being difficult to work for. The Times of London reported in 2021 that the Suits alum had allegedly bullied and reduced staff members to tears at Kensington Palace. In August 2024, NewsNation claimed Meghan and Harry had lost 18 employees between their time in the U.K. and the U.S. (they launched Archewell Foundation in 2020), with a source blaming an “unbearable” and “condescending” Meghan for the “churn and burn” rate.

However, several former and current staff members denied these reports. Speaking to Us in September 2024, former head of content Ben Browning, who secured the couple’s Harry & Meghan documentary Netflix prior to his exit in 2023, described his experience working for the couple as “positive and supportive.”

He added, “We all continue to be friends. The narratives we’ve seen suggesting the contrary are untrue.”

David Beckham Wasn’t Nervous But ‘Very Emotional’ During Knighthood

David Beckham got the royal honor of a lifetime when he was knighted by King Charles III earlier this month, but the retired soccer star managed to play it cool.

“It’s been a very emotional week. I wasn’t nervous, just emotional, as it means so much to me and my family,” David, 50, told People in an interview published on Tuesday, November 25.

“It’s such a huge honor to receive, and all-round, it was a very special day for us. It’s a memory I’ll cherish for the rest of my life,” he added, referring to his November 4 investiture at Windsor Castle.

David was accompanied for the occasion by his wife, Victoria, parents Ted and Sandra, and three of his four children: sons Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 14. (Neither eldest son Brooklyn, 26, nor Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz, attended.)

David was knighted “Sir David Beckham” for his services to sport and charity and wore a suit designed by fashion designer Victoria, 51, for the special occasion.

“I couldn’t be prouder. People know how patriotic I am — I love my country,” David told the BBC at the time. “I’ve always said how important the monarchy is to my family. I’m lucky enough to have traveled around the world, and all people want to talk to me about is our monarchy. It makes me proud.”

David quipped that King Charles, 77, was “quite impressed” by his sartorial choice, which he said Victoria designed based on some of the monarch’s past looks.

“He’s the most elegantly dressed man that I know, so he inspired quite a few of my looks over the years, and he definitely inspired this look,” David said. “It was something that my wife made me.”

David was first announced as receiving a knighthood in the 2025 King’s Birthday Honors list revealed in June.

Kate Middleton Makes Plea to End Addiction Stigma

Princess Kate Middleton is making a passionate plea to end the “stigma” around addiction.

The Princess of Wales marked Addiction Awareness Week in the U.K., which takes place from Sunday, November 23, to Saturday, November 29, with a statement urging people to be considerate to those in recovery.

Kate, 43, issued the statement on Monday, November 24, in her capacity as royal patron of the Forward Trust, a social justice charity that helps people in the U.K. overcome addiction.

“This Addiction Awareness Week, I am, as always, very glad to lend my support to this hugely important campaign,” she began her plea. “Through my role as Patron of the Forward Trust, it has been humbling to see the significant progress made to better understand addiction and tackle the stigma surrounding it. But there remains much more to do.”

“Addiction is not a choice, or a personal failing, but a complex mental health condition that should be met with empathy and support,” Kate continued. “But still, even now in 2025, people’s experience of addiction is shaped by fear, shame and judgment. This needs to change.”

The statement continued, “The stigma surrounding those who face addiction allows it to thrive behind closed doors, impacting families and communities, and ultimately ruining lives. Many of us will know someone who is struggling with an addiction. Now is the moment to show our compassion and love to help them, or their friends and family, to reach out to organizations like the Forward Trust for support.”

“Recovery is hard, but with the right treatment it is possible. And this begins with a conversation, a listening ear and showing we care,” Kate wrote.

She concluded the statement, “So please join the conversation. By talking about it in the open, together we can bring addiction and the harm it causes out of the shadows. We can reframe this issue with kindness and understanding, and we can help individuals and families coping with addiction know they are not alone.”

The royal also recently spoke out “the often unseen realities of mental health throughout pregnancy and beyond” in a letter shared by U.K. charity Maternal Mental Health Alliance (MMHA) on November 4 in support of the organization’s new exhibition, “This Is Also Motherhood.”

Kate Middleton and Prince William Step Out for Rare Date Night

Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton stunned as they stepped out for a rare date night.

The couple attended the Royal Variety Performance at Royal Albert Hall in London on Wednesday, November 19. Hosted by English comedian Jason Manford, the annual event raises money for the Royal Variety Charity, supporting entertainment industry workers. The charity has shifted its focus to those with mental health struggles.

Kate, 43, stunned in a green velvet gown with her signature curls and long chandelier earrings. She walked alongside her husband, William, 43, in a classic tuxedo. This was the first time the Prince and Princess of Wales have attended the event in two years. (This year’s appearance will be their sixth time at the event in total.)

This year, Jessie J and Icelandic singer Laufey are set to take the stage. The Paddington the Musical and Les Misérables casts will also perform. Following the event, William and Kate are set to chat with members of the Royal Variety Charity along with some of the performers.

It was reported earlier this week that Kate and William were scheduled to attend the event as the guests of honor. Mental health is a cause that is close to both royal family members’ hearts.

During their last appearance at the event, William was spotted laughing at comedian Tom Allen’s set.

In 2014, comedian Jack Whitehall even poked fun at the royal couple during his time on stage. He called out Kate, specifically, recalling the years they attended Marlborough College together. After that year’s show, Whitehall discussed the joke on The Jonathan Ross Show.

“I referred to her as the one that got away,” he said. “I flirted a little, ’cause I said that she was one of my first crushes at school.”

Both Kate and William have been taking part in separate public outings recently.

Meghan Markle is getting into the holiday spirit a little bit early this year.

Her lifestyle brand As Ever shared an Instagram video on Saturday, November 15, with a first look at the Duchess of Sussex, 44, putting up her Christmas decorations. In the footage, Meghan beams with delight in a shimmering brown ensemble while hanging up a white stocking.

“Oh, we see you! Not even Thanksgiving yet and you’ve already got this in the bag,” As Ever wrote in the Instagram caption.

As Ever officially unveiled its 2025 holiday collection on October 25 and promised its products were perfect for “giving and gathering, thoughtfully curated to elevate every occasion.”

The collection includes three-packs of Markle’s viral fruit spreads or $36, or in a signature gift box for $42.00. Both collections come with the same trio of fruit spreads: raspberry, orange marmalade and strawberry. (Individual fruit spread jars are also available for $12 while supplies last.)

Meghan and her husband Prince Harry were most recently spotted at two separate high-profile L.A. events on November 8. The Sussexes supported their friend Serena Williams at the Baby2Baby Gala in West Hollywood, where the tennis star was given the Giving Tree Award “for her fierce commitment to uplifting children and families and her powerful advocacy for maternal health,” per the organization.

Meghan and Harry, 41, also joined A-listers such as Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Kyle Richards, Kathy Hilton and Gayle King by making an appearance at Kris Jenner’s James Bond-themed 70th birthday party. Jenner and her daughter Kim Kardashian originally shared photos with Meghan on Instagram, but any trace of those pictures were later removed from the family’s social media.

Royal expert Tom Sykes later reported that Harry and Meghan had reportedly checked “no” on a photo consent form they received before the party, and thus apparently did not want any pictures taken of them to be shared.

The royal expert clarified that Harry and Meghan were not “particularly bothered” by the pictures ending up on social media, though the Jenner-Kardashian family still took them down out of respect.

Prince William Gives Brief Look Inside New Home With Kate Middleton

Prince William is welcoming royal watchers into his new home with Princess Kate Middleton — sort of.

William, 43, filmed a video for the Royal British Legion’s Remembrance Assembly to celebrate Armistice Day earlier this week. Eagle-eyed fans took notice of the Prince of Wales’ new digs.

While William’s message to the young people of the U.K. was an important one, more focus was put on the gold crown molding behind him. One wall featured blue wallpaper and two framed photos. The room William was standing in also had giant red curtains. (It seems like there’s a lot of gold in this new home.)

William and Kate, also 43, officially moved out of their former home, Adelaide Cottage, to Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park earlier this month.

Us Weekly confirmed in August that William, Kate and their three kids — Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7 — would be moving before 2026. Their new home features eight bedrooms, six bathrooms, a sunken fence for privacy, a tennis court and large pond.

“The new house marks a new era for the family,” a source told Us exclusively in August. “The decision to move into this new home is a significant one that signals independence, though it is not entirely surprising.”

The Windsor home “will allow” the couple to stay closer to their kids, who are gearing up to go off to boarding school over the next few years.

The same insider explained to Us that William and Kate “are very strict about their boundaries” and want to protect “their mental health and family life.” A past report claimed that they will stay in Forest Lodge even after William becomes king.

The loss of Andrew’s prince title and the eviction from his home came as headlines continued to connect the disgraced royal family member to late billionaire sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has continued to deny the late Virginia Giuffre’s allegations of sexual assault since she first made them in 2019.

“Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse,” Buckingham Palace’s statement concluded.

Prince Andrew Threw a Party With ‘Poppers, Lube,’ Book Claims (Excl)

Royal expert Robert Jobson shared some alleged details about Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’s parties in a new book.

Jobson wrote in The Windsor Legacy, which is set to be released early next year, that Andrew hosted a party for Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in 2000 at the royal family’s Sandringham Estate.

“Staff were stunned to discover the bathrooms were stocked not only with toiletries, but poppers, lube and condoms,” an excerpt from the book, obtained by Us Weekly exclusively, claimed.

Jobson also alleged that late convicted billionaire sex trafficker Epstein “funded Andrew’s yacht trip to Thailand, where they were photographed lounging with topless young women.”

Along with his long-reported friendship with Epstein, the disgraced royal family member was close to Maxwell also, Jobson claimed. (Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence in prison for child sex trafficking and related charges.)

Prince Andrew’s downfall as a working royal is unquestionably intertwined with his connection to the late disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. “They were regulars at parties and weddings — even a ‘hookers and pimps’ bash,” the author wrote. (Us Weekly has reached out to Buckingham Palace and Andrew for comment.)

Another royal expert, Andrew Lownie, who authored the book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, offered his own insight into the parties that Andrew would throw on royal property.

“He brought in prostitutes to Buckingham Palace for years,” Lownie claimed during an appearance on NewsNation earlier this month . “It was done on a regular basis. People who worked there complained to people in command, but nothing was done.”

Lownie further alleged that prior to her September 2022 death at age 96, Queen Elizabeth II was aware, and any security who made a stick would be told to “keep quiet” or get demoted.

“She was informed,” he added. “But he was her favorite son, and he got away with everything. They brushed it under the rug — until now.”

Andrew’s connection to Epstein led to the eventual removal of his royal titles.

Last month King Charles III announced that Andrew, 65, lost his prince title and would be evicted from his home at Royal Lodge.

“Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor,” a statement from Buckingham Palace, released on October 30, read. “His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence.”

Andrew’s connection to Epstein first went public in 2019 when the late Virginia Giuffre claimed that she was sexually assaulted by the former duke. He has continued to deny all allegations against him.

Giuffre, who died by suicide this past April at 41, later sued Andrew for sexual abuse in 2021. They settled out of court the following year. Last month, Giuffre’s memoir, Nobody’s Girl, was published posthumously. The book included more allegations against Andrew and Epstein.

Queen Elizabeth II Would Have Been ‘Heartbroken’ Over Andrew Situation

The late Queen Elizabeth II would have had a lot of feelings on the ongoing drama surrounding son Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

“It’s like a Greek tragedy; he’s been stripped of everything and humiliated,” royal author Phil Dampier told Hello! Magazine in an article published Tuesday, November 4. “The poor late queen would be absolutely heartbroken to see what’s happened to the son who was often referred to as her favorite.”

Dampier, who has been writing about the royal family for more than two decades, said it was “ a total shock” when news broke that Andrew had been stripped of his prince title.

“It’s a very extreme measure,” he added. “This situation is totally unprecedented and an extraordinary fall from grace for somebody who, when he was born, was second in line to the throne and returned from the Falklands a war hero.”

King Charles III announced on Thursday, October 30, that he began the formal process to strip brother Andrew of his title and evicted the former Duke of York from his home at Royal Lodge in Windsor.

“Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor,” a statement from Buckingham Palace read at the time. “His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence.”

The statement noted that “formal notice” was presented to Andrew, who “will move to alternative private accommodation.” Us understands he will be relocating to Charles’ Sandringham Estate.

“These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him,” the statement added. “Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”

Charles’ decision came after Andrew continued to make headlines for his connection to late billionaire sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. In 2019, the late Virginia Giuffre alleged that she had a sexual encounter with Andrew in 2001 when she was underage. Giuffre claimed that she and Andrew had crossed paths through Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

Dampier’s recent comments are similar to those made by fellow royal author Christopher Andersen to Us exclusively.

Andersen doubled down on Andrew being the late queen’s “favorite” child,” which was true “to the very end” of her life. “She did what she could to protect him,” the author added.

“This must have been a painful decision for the king — this is his brother, after all,” Andersen shared last week. “Charles must know how much booting Andrew out of the royal family would have hurt his mother, the late queen. I can’t imagine Elizabeth II would have ever gone this far — not ever.”

King Charles Heckled Over Prince Andrew’s Ties to Jeffrey Epstein

King Charles cannot escape the continued media attention on his brother Prince Andrew’s longstanding friendship with the late convicted pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.

“How long have you known about Andrew and Epstein?” an individual shouted at Charles, 76, as the royal greeted the public outside Lichfield Cathedral in Staffordshire on Monday, October 27, per footage shared online.

“Have you asked the police to cover up for Andrew?” the heckler continued. “Have you asked the police to cover up for Andrew, Charles? What do you think — should the MPs be allowed to debate the royals in the House of Commons?”

Charles ignored the questions and was promptly escorted away from the scene by an accompanying guard. The heckler didn’t appear particularly popular with the rest of the crowd, who had gathered to greet the King, as some onlookers could be heard on video telling the unidentified man to “stop” and “shut up.”

On October 17, Andrew, 65, announced he is giving up his royal titles and honors as the relationship between himself and Epstein is once again dominating worldwide headlines.

“In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family,” Andrew said in a statement to Us Weekly on Friday, October 17. “I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.”

He added, “With His Majesty’s agreement, we feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honors which have been conferred upon me. As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me.”

Andrew was accused of assault by the late Virginia Giuffre in 2019, further claiming that she was also sexually assaulted by Epstein, who she said introduced her to the royal along with his longtime associate and convicted sex trafficker, Ghislaine Maxwell. Giuffre sued Andrew for sexual abuse in 2021 and they settled out of court for an undisclosed sum. Prince Andrew has repeatedly denied the allegations, and Giuffre died by suicide at age 41 this past April.

Epstein died by suicide while he was incarcerated at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York after he was arrested on charges of federal sex trafficking of minors. Maxwell was found guilty on child sex trafficking charges in 2021 and is currently imprisoned at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas.

Interest in the relationship between Andrew and Epstein was reignited after emails exchanged between the pair were made public this year. The emails, from 2011, allegedly disproved Andrew’s previous claim that he had cut off all contact with Epstein in December 2010.

King Charles III reportedly feels some type of way after another one of his brother Prince Andrew’s emails to late billionaire and convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein resurfaced.

U.K. newspaper The Telegraph reported on Monday, October 13, that there is “nothing else left” in the relationship between the two men. The publication also doubled-down on reports that Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, were ousted from the royal family’s Christmas celebration.

King Charles III reportedly isn’t interested in celebrating the holidays with Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.

The Duke and Duchess of York have been made aware that the king will not be looking to invite them to spend Christmas with the royal family this year, according to The Times of London.

The king has reportedly made it clear that he would prefer the pair, who divorced in 1996, to be “invisible” at future gatherings.

“You can’t sack someone from being your brother,” a source close to Charles told the outlet. “But this year, if the duke and duchess were both to be as honourable [as last year], it would be very much for the best and the family would not be disappointed, not least to avoid the King having to make any more difficult decisions.”

Earlier this month, Ferguson found herself in hot water after a controversial email to Jeffrey Epstein reemerged.

Two newspapers published an email reportedly sent by Ferguson to Jeffrey Epstein in 2011. The Sun and the Mail on Sunday reported that the email was sent weeks after the duchess had publicly distanced herself from the disgraced financier.

In the email, Ferguson reportedly wrote to Epstein that he has “always been a steadfast, generous and supreme friend to me and my family.”

A spokesperson for Ferguson said the email was to counter a threat Epstein had made to sue her for defamation.

“The duchess spoke of her regret about her association with Epstein many years ago, and as they have always been, her first thoughts are with his victims,” the spokesperson said in a statement to the BBC. “Like many people, she was taken in by his lies. As soon as she was aware of the extent of the allegations against him, she not only cut off contact but condemned him publicly, to the extent that he then threatened to sue her for defamation for associating him with paedophilia.”

Ultimately, multiple charities — including the Teenage Cancer Trust, the British Heart Foundation and the Children’s Literacy Charity — distanced themselves from Ferguson in recent weeks.

While Charles’ relationship with the Duke and Duchess of York continues to be distant, the royal family member is working on his relationship with Prince Harry.

Although the duo has been estranged since 2020 after the Duke of Sussex and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down from their duties as senior working royals and moved to California, Harry recently visited his father on September 10 during a trip to London.

Prince William and King Charles III Feud Rumors, Drama Explained

Prince William and King Charles III put on a united front amid ongoing reports of a rift between them.

The father-son duo stepped out at the Countdown to COP30 event on Thursday, October 9, at the Natural History Museum in London. The event kicked off the upcoming COP30 summit, set to take place next month, by bringing together climate ambassadors from around the globe. (The outing came just after Charles announced his upcoming documentary about the environment and hope for a sustainable future.)

Charles, 76, and William, 43, arrived together at Thursday’s event and were photographed meeting with several attendees. It appears they didn’t leave each other’s side during the outing.

Their public appearance comes after multiple reports of tension between William and Charles, with several outlets claiming that there’s a frosty relationship between the two after the Prince of Wales spoke candidly about the monarchy during a recent appearance on Eugene Levy’s Apple TV+’s The Reluctant Traveler. (Us Weekly has reached out for comment.)

“This shouldn’t be seen as criticism of King Charles,” he told People in a profile published earlier this week. “He is very close to his father and has been his most important supporter.”

Royal biographer Sally Bedell told the publication that William’s decision to have a conversation with Levy was a “savvy move” by the Prince of Wales.

“By choosing a Canadian comedian as his interlocutor, William seems to be signaling that he wants to break out of the conventional mold,” Bedell explained to People.

William also addressed the fact that his eldest son, Prince George, will be king one day. (William and wife Princess Kate Middleton share kids George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.)

“There’s lots of things to think about with that. King Charles III Poses for New Portrait Before 77th Birthday

Prior to the death of Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles III had been the heir apparent to the British throne for seven decades.

Charles held the position longer than anyone in the monarchy’s history. While waiting for his ascension, he served his country as the Prince of Wales. After serving in the military and founding his own charity, he proposed to Princess Diana in February 1981. They tied the knot in a lavish wedding at St Paul’s Cathedral in July of that year. The couple subsequently welcomed two sons, Prince William in June 1982 and Prince Harry in September 1984.

Despite starting a family together, Charles and Diana separated in December 1992. They finalized their divorce in August 1996. The prince became a single parent to their sons after Diana died in August 1997 at age 36 following a car accident. Charles ultimately married his future queen consort, Camilla Parker Bowles, in April 2005.

Following Elizabeth II’s death in September 2022, Charles assumed the throne. His royal coronation took place in May 2023 at Westminster Abbey, the same place his mother was crowned as queen.

Meghan Markle Quietly Attends Balenciaga’s Paris Fashion Week Show

Meghan Markle quietly attended her first Fashion Week show in years, taking a front-row seat at Balenciaga’s Saturday, October 4, exhibition in Paris.

A spokesperson for Meghan, 44, told Hello! that the Duchess of Sussex attended the show “in support of Pierpaolo Piccioli, who recently assumed the role of Creative Director” for the brand.

“Over the years, the Duchess has worn a number of designs by Pierpaolo. They have worked closely together collaborating on design for key moments on the world stage,” the rep added in a statement. “She has long admired his craftsmanship and modern elegance, and tonight was no different.”

Meghan wore a chic, winter-white pantsuit with a matching cape. Her look was completed with a pair of black pumps, and she wore her hair fastened in a slicked-back bun.

As for Meghan, she had never previously attended a Paris Fashion Week runway show before Saturday, though she often attended Toronto and New York iterations when she was a working actress. Meghan stepped back from her acting roles after marrying Prince Harry in 2018.

Prince Harry Reunites With Meghan Markle After King Charles Visit

Prince Harry made his first public appearance with his wife, Meghan Markle, in the U.S. since his long-awaited reunion with his father, King Charles III.

The royal couple made an unannounced appearance at the One805LIVE! concert in Carpinteria, California, on Saturday, September 20. This was Harry’s third annual visit to the event, which raises money for Santa Barbara County’s first responders.

Meghan joined Harry backstage at the concert, before they briefly appeared onstage to present an award to Santa Barbara County Fire Chief, Mark Hartwig, according to reports. The concert was held on Hollywood legend Kevin Costner’s oceanside property, and featured live performances from country music icon Trisha Yearwood, rockers Good Charlotte and R&B singer Thelma Houston, among others.

Organizers have described the One805LIVE! event as “an unforgettable evening of music, community, and support for our First Responders.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have called Santa Barbara home since 2020, after temporarily living in friend Tyler Perry’s Beverly Hills mansion when they first moved from Canada to the U.S. (Harry and Meghan spent the early part of their marriage living at Frogmore Cottage near Windsor Castle, before resigning their royal duties in January 2020.)

It has been a whirlwind few weeks for Harry, as he just returned to the U.S. following a trip to his native U.K. for the WellChild Awards as well as a diplomatic visit to Ukraine. While in London, he reunited with his father King Charles III for the first time in 19 months during a one-on-one meeting at Clarence House on September 10.

A source exclusively confirmed to Us Weekly that father and son reconciled after King Charles received “a handwritten letter from Harry earlier this year” that expressed “his [son’s] desire to reconnect.” Harry chatted with his father for around 54 minutes before he had to leave for an event in honor of the Invictus Games.

“They were catching up personally about the children and what has been going on with Charles and his health,” an insider told Us. “There were hugs and tears at the meeting.”

The meeting was likely to have been emotionally charged since Charles was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in February 2024. Following the meeting, Harry told The Guardian that “the focus really has to be on my dad” in the year ahead.

Asked if the reunion increased the likelihood of moving his family back to the U.K., Harry answered: “This week has definitely brought that closer.” (Harry and Meghan share two children: a son, Prince Archie, 6, and a daughter, Princess Lilibet, 4.)

Us has learned that, while Harry and King Charles are on better terms these days, there is still a rift between the prince and his brother, William.

Meghan Markle gave a rare glimpse of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet while behind the scenes on her cooking show, With Love, Meghan.

“Filming season two of With Love, Meghan was more fun than you can imagine,” the Duchess of Sussex, 44, wrote via Instagram on Monday, September 1, alongside a slideshow of pictures featuring some of her favorite moments from season 2 of her hit Netflix series.

Meghan’s post included a sweet snap of her children visiting their mom on set. Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 6, can be seen with their backs facing the camera — a common shot shared by the Duchess of Sussex, who makes it a point to hide her children’s faces from the public. The siblings had their eyes glued on their mom as they watched her film via a mini screen while wearing headphones.

The fun time on set didn’t end there for Archie and Lilibet, either. Another shot showed Lilibet sitting in a director’s chair. Archie, for his part, got to hold up a clapperboard as Meghan prepared to film another scene.

Meghan also included a photo of her and husband Prince Harry posing with chef Clare Smyth.

In addition to spending time with her family, Meghan shared that bringing music to the With Love, Meghan set helped uplift the mood while filming.

“Part of how we kept the vibe alive? Music. Between set ups I would play a song from my phone, and today I wanted to share some of the favorites I kept on rotation!” Meghan continued in the post’s caption. “Add them to your playlist, press shuffle, and enjoy! The last photo in Meghan’s post included a track list of songs that inspired her while filming season 2, like, James Taylor’s “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)” and “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston.

While Archie and Lilibet did not join their mom on camera for With Love, Meghan season 2, Meghan did open up about life with her little ones. During season 2, Meghan discussed how difficult it was to leave Archie and Lilibet for extended periods of time.

“I’ll miss them so much,” she said to guest Tan France. “You want to be the parent who’s like, ‘Yes, go do it. Go do your thing. Go live that life. But I’m going to miss you so much.’”

France echoed similar sentiments, sharing that he “might die without my kids.”

“I need my boys,” the Queer Eye star explained. “If I don’t see them for a couple of days, I feel like my heart is broken.” (Tan shares sons Ismail, 4, and Isaac, 2, with husband Rob France.)

Meghan sympathized, sharing that she’s experienced that very same feeling.

“The longest I went without being around our kids was almost three weeks,” she said. “I was … not well.”

Meghan was referring to the time she and Harry were in the United Kingdom for multiple charity events and the couple stayed longer following the death of the Duke of Sussex’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, in September 2022.

Prince Harry Was ‘Amazing’ With Children During London Charity Event

Prince Harry made quite a positive impression on kids during his latest charity event in London.

“Harry was so warm and charismatic on stage,” an observer at the 2024 WellChild Awards exclusively shared with Us Weekly on Tuesday, October 1. “The reaction to him was very good.”

The Duke of Sussex has been a patron of WellChild — an organization that raises money for children and young people with exceptional health needs to be cared for at home instead of hospitals — for the past 16 years.

The nonprofit’s annual event, held on Monday, September 30, celebrates the inspirational qualities of the U.K.’s seriously ill children and young people, along with those who make a difference in their lives.

“Harry’s amazing with kids and spent time backstage with all the winners for a long time before the event started,” the observer told Us. “He was just chatting to them all and had even learned things about them all first, so it was intimate and touching. He is so good at that sort of thing, hanging with kids.”

Perhaps it helps that Harry, 40, is a dad himself. When not supporting important causes near to his heart, Prince William’s brother can likely be found in California raising his son, Archie, 5, and daughter Lillibet, 3, with wife Meghan Markle.

When speaking to the crowd attending the WellChild Awards, Harry shared a glimpse into his own fatherhood journey.

“As a parent, I know a little about the emotional roller-coaster of parenting,” he told the audience. “But, when I hear about the care many of you mums, dads and family members provide; the level of round-the-clock care you offer; the skills you’ve had to learn; and the battles for support that you fight every single day — I am truly in awe. You are all incredible, and your love and dedication are nothing short of heroic.”

During his speech, Harry vowed to continue his support for the organization. He also shared that working with the foundation is something he is “immensely proud” of.

“For many of us, it is a daily life we can hardly imagine, and yet somehow, the young people I meet are always smiling and every room they walk into seemingly lights up with warmth and positivity,” he said. “So keep being you. You’ve got this. And we’ve got you.”

After visiting London, Harry was expected to travel to Africa where he was slated to have lunch with Princess Senate Seeiso of Lesotho.

Why Prince Harry Visited a Tattoo Parlor in New York

Prince Harry has been spotted visiting a tattoo parlor in New York during his solo trip to the city.

A video posted on X on Friday, September 27, showed the Duke of Sussex leaving East Side Ink, a popular tattoo parlor beloved by celebrities.

The video clip showed Harry, 40, leaving the store while dressed casually and surrounded by security guards. The Duke of Sussex was wearing white sneakers, blue jeans and a relaxed gray shirt.

Prince Harry’s visit to East Side Ink took place on Wednesday, September 25. Us Weekly has learned that the Duke was at the tattoo parlor to shoot a promotional video.

Senior members of the British royal family generally eschew body modification, PopSugar reported in 2018. At the time, the outlet suggested that Prince Harry was unlikely to get any tattoos, despite having a reputation for being the most rebellious member of the royal family.

Since stepping down as a senior member of the royal family, Harry has made a plethora of huge changes in his life. Having moved to California with his wife Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, the prince’s life is presumably very different from when he lived in London.

It’s also worth noting that Harry’s cousin, Princess Eugenie, has a small tattoo of a black circle subtly hidden by her left ear. Lady Amelia Windsor is also known to have a number of tattoos.

The Duke of Sussex has kept an extremely busy schedule during his visit to New York.

The prince delighted viewers when he appeared on the September 26 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he agreed to be scared in a haunted “Tonightmares” maze.

Harry also passionately spoke about his work with The HALO Trust, the organization dedicated to eradicating landmines from around the world.

“Much has changed in my life and the world since 2019 when I first visited [Angola],” Harry said at the event on Monday, September 23. “In those five years, I’ve become a father for the second time,” he explained, referencing the birth of his daughter, Princess Lilibet, 3.

Harry continued, “While you don’t need children to have a stake in the future of our planet, I do know that my mother [Princess Diana] would have been horrified that anyone’s children or grandchildren would live in a world still infested with mines.”

Revealing why the charity’s work is so important to him, Harry explained, “As you know, The HALO Trust work in Angola meant a great deal to my mother carrying on her legacy is a responsibility that I take incredibly seriously and I think we all know how much she’d want us to finish this particular job.”

Prince Harry has turned 40, and the royal family is paying tribute to the Duke of Sussex on his milestone birthday.

Princess Kate Middleton and Prince William wished Prince Harry a Happy Birthday in a rare Instagram Story and a post on X celebrating the special occasion.

“Wishing a Happy 40th Birthday to the Duke of Sussex,” the Prince and Princess of Wales wrote in their sweet message.

Senior members of the royal family have rarely shared public birthday posts for non-working royals. Prince Harry’s 40th appears to be the exception, which is likely because the Duke of Sussex is celebrating such a momentous birthday.

In May 2024, royal correspondent Danielle Stacey discussed the royal family’s policy for publicly acknowledging family member’s birthdays in a HELLO! article.

“In recent years and certainly since King Charles III’s reign began in September 2022, we have only seen public messages from the royal family’s social media accounts for working members of the royal family, such as the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the Princess Royal,” Stacey told HELLO!

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back as senior royals in 2020, and no longer carry out royal duties,” Stacey noted. “Similarly, the palace doesn’t typically share messages on the likes of Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall’s birthdays nor their children’s special days.”

Princess Diana Told Ballet Teacher She Was ‘Ashamed’ of Bulimia Battle

According to a new book, Princess Diana opened up to her dance instructor, former London ballet dancer Anne Allan, about her eating disorder.

Allan is detailing her history with the late princess, who died in a fatal 1997 car crash at the age of 36, in her new memoir, Dancing With Diana. According to a Wednesday, September 4, excerpt in People, Diana had confided in Allen about her struggles with bulimia.

“Her head dropped and, unable to look me in the eye, she said, ‘I am so ashamed, Anne, but I need to tell you that I suffer from bulimia,’” Allan wrote. “Her shame was evidently painful for her.”

According to Allan, Diana profusely apologized for hiding her struggles “until now.”

“Diana explained that her bulimia had started when she had started attending important functions, particularly dinners where she had to sit down to eat,” Allan recalled. “Meeting so many people was terrifying to her and the feeling that she was being judged with every move she made or how she looked or what she said caused her to feel totally inadequate.”

Diana, per Allan, would continue to resort to “the cycle of bulimia” through the years despite slowly growing in confidence.

“Understanding the disease was the way forward, I told her, adding that finding ways not to judge herself would come in time,” Allan wrote.

Diana first detailed her battle with bulimia while recording tapes for Andrew Morton’s bombshell 1992 biography.

“The bulimia started the week after we got engaged and would take nearly a decade to overcome,” Diana had claimed in a recording. “My husband [King Charles III] put his hand on my waistline and said: ‘Oh, a bit chubby here, aren’t we?’ and that triggered off something in me —and the Camilla thing.”

Three years later, Diana confirmed her eating disorder during a 1995 interview on BBC’s Panorama.

“I had bulimia for a number of years. And that’s like a secret disease,” she recalled. “You inflict it upon yourself because your self-esteem is at a low ebb, and you don’t think you’re worthy or valuable. You fill your stomach up four or five times a day—some do it more — and it gives you a feeling of comfort. It’s like having a pair of arms around you, but it’s temporarily, temporary. Then you’re disgusted at the bloatedness of your stomach, and then you bring it all up again.”

According to Diana, she opted against telling other members of the royal family out of shame.

“You have to know that when you have bulimia you’re very ashamed of yourself and you hate yourself — and people think you’re wasting food — so you don’t discuss it with people,” Diana said at the time. “The thing about bulimia is your weight always stays the same, whereas with anorexia you visibly shrink. So you can pretend the whole way through. There’s no proof.”

Diana married King Charles III in 1981 when he was still the Prince of Wales. Throughout their marriage, she was infamously jealous of his bond with ex-girlfriend Queen Camilla (then Camilla Parker Bowles). Charles, 75, and Camilla, 76, ultimately had an affair before the now-king and Diana separated.

Meghan Markle Talks About Son Archie on Colombia Trip

Day two of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s trip to Colombia brought them back to the classroom, where the two brushed up on their Spanish skills.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited with kindergarteners at the Colegio La Giralda in Santa Fe, a small locality in the country’s capital district of Bogota.

“You’re the same age as my son Archie!” Meghan, 43, said in Spanish to one of the students.

Archie turned 5 in May, and Meghan and Harry also share daughter Lilibet, 3.

Not to be outdone, Harry, 39, flexed his Spanish chops by asking kids their names and ages in their native language.

The kindergarteners showed off for Meghan and Harry, as well, performing a song and presenting them with gifts and handwritten letters.

During their visit, Meghan and Harry also toured the school, participated in an art class and helped plant trees on the school’s property. Colegio La Giralda prioritizes outdoor classrooms and the school’s garden was created in 2020 to help educate students on both the environment and the farmers, who are essential to providing food for Columbia.

Following their school visit, Meghan and Harry had a private lunch with vice president Francia Marquez, where they learned more about the inaugural Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children, which Bogota will host in November.
