We’ve already heard Taylor Swift’s take on what Emma Stone is like when she falls in love (paces the floor, closes the blinds and locks the door, calls up her mom, etc.), but what about when Emma stars in a movie? Swift attended the premiere of her pal Stone’s new movie Poor Things Wednesday evening in New York City, showing up to support her longtime friend.
Swift, who was announced this week as TIME Magazine’s Person of the Year and sat for a rare wide-ranging interview that shed light on her romance with Travis Kelce, her long-running beef with Kanye West and Scooter Braun, and more, stepped out for Stone’s starring role in the dark comedy. She and Stone posed together at the event, with Swift rocking an all-black look with a floor-length slip dress and black furry jacket, in contrast to Stone’s own off-white slip dress look. Swift did not walk the red carpet.

The two have long been close, with Stone telling Vanity Fair in June, “we’ve been friends for a really long time. I’ve known her since we were 17 and 18.” Stone has shown up to support Swift in the past, too: Fans spotted her bopping at the opening night of Swift’s Eras Tour in Glendale, Arizona in March. Stone said that Swift had helped her score the “impossible” tickets.
“She’s a wonderful friend. She blows my mind,” Stone said of Swift. Though Stone won an Oscar for her work in the 2016 movie musical La La Land, the actor shook off the idea of ever duetting with Swift.
“Oh, God, hell no!” she said of the idea. “I can’t sing, like, for a massive stadium. Let’s not even go down that road. She has insane talent—I could never do what she does.”
Swift has seemingly paid tribute to Stone in song, with the vault track “When Emma Falls In Love” off of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)widely theorized to be about Stone’s past relationship with Andrew Garfield. On the red carpet Wednesday evening, Stone played coy when asked by ET about the song.
“You would have to ask her,” Stone said of the track.
Representatives for Taylor Swift did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
In a spotlight-stealing move, Taylor Swift has been crowned Time magazine’s person of the year for 2023. The announcement comes as no surprise — Swift has had an exceptional year marked by chart-topping albums, a record-breaking tour, and the ascent to billionaire status at the age of 33.
Time, renowned for its iconic covers, showcased Swift in various captivating poses, including one with her beloved cat, Benjamin Button. While the honour has historically been bestowed upon US presidents, Russian leaders, and popes, Swift’s inclusion underscores her ability to transcend borders.
In an exclusive interview, Swift delved into the personal aspects of her life, offering a rare glimpse into her relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce. She also opened up about her headline-worthy feud with Kim Kardashian and peeled back the curtain on her intense workout routine leading up to the Eras tour.
“Make no mistake — my career was taken away from me.”
Swift opened up about her feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. She labelled it as a period that nearly led to her “career death”. The drama reached its peak in 2016 when Kim Kardashian released snippets of an alleged phone conversation, centring on the lyric “I made that b***h famous.” According to Swift, Kardashian orchestrated a fully manufactured frame job, involving an illegally recorded call edited to portray Swift as a liar.
“That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before,” she told the publication. “I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn’t trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard.”
Out of this challenging time emerged 2017’s “Reputation”. Swift crafted the album as a response to the scandal, fully aware of the uproar and scepticism it would face.
Reflecting on that era, she said, “I thought that moment of backlash was going to define me negatively for the rest of my life.”
Taylor Swift finally spoke about her relationship with Travis Kelce, giving fans a glimpse into their love story.
“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” Taylor shared, revealing the unexpected beginning of their romance.
“We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.”
And that game everyone thought was their first date?
“I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date,” she added.
Swift said the pair were in a relationship and so “we’re showing up for each other” at things the other loves, including football matches.
“Other people are there and we don’t care.”
Taylor Swift’s Vigorous Eras Tour Regime
Taylor also gave us a glimpse at her Eras Tour prep. Swift freely admits she used to party on tour back in the day, almost like a frat guy. But things have changed. Why, you ask? Well, the Eras tour is a different beast, featuring 44 songs and running for over three hours. It’s no cakewalk.
“I knew this tour was harder than anything I’d ever done before by a long shot,” she admitted. That’s when the prep began, a full six months before the first show.
Every day she would run on a treadmill and sing all the songs going “fast for fast songs, and a jog or a fast walk for slow songs”.
In addition to cardio, Swift committed to three months of dance training under the guidance of renowned choreographer Mandy Moore, who is known for her work on the hit musical “La La Land” with Emma Stone.
“I wanted to be so over-rehearsed that I could be silly with the fans and not lose my train of thought,” she added.
Taylor’s Decision to Quit Drinking
The pop star also gave up alcohol ahead of the tour, admitting: “Doing that show with a hangover. I don’t want to know that world.”
The fans deserved it, she said, because many had paid top dollar to be there.
“They had to work really hard to get the tickets,” she said. “I wanted to play a show that was longer than they ever thought it would be, because that makes me feel good leaving the stadium.”

“Make no mistake — my career was taken away from me,” the pop star told Time regarding the backlash she received after Kanye West released his song “Famous,” which contains a lyric referring to Swift, where he raps, “I made that bitch famous.” Swift went on to shade the song in a Grammy acceptance speech, and West’s then-wife Kim Kardashian clapped back by uploading an edited video on Snapchat of Swift seemingly giving West approval of the song. Kardashian’s video set off a social media storm at the time, leading to the trending hashtag #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty.
“You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar,” she said of the incident which led to her being canceled. “That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before. I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn’t trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard.”
She also shined light on her decision to rerecord her albums, telling the magazine that her dad and Kelly Clarkson encouraged her to rerecord her music after her original master recordings were sold to Scooter Braun, West’s former manager, and a man Swift says wanted the master recordings “for nefarious reasons.”
“I’d run into Kelly Clarkson and she would go, ‘Just redo it,’” Swift told the magazine. “My dad kept saying it to me too. I’d look at them and go, ‘How can I possibly do that?’ Nobody wants to redo their homework if on the way to school, the wind blows your book report away.”
She added: “I respond to extreme pain with defiance.”
Clarkson tweeted Swift in 2019 encouraging her to rerecord her music, writing, “just a thought, U should go in & re-record all the songs that U don’t own the masters on exactly how U did them but put brand new art & some kind of incentive so fans will no longer buy the old versions. I’d buy all of the new versions just to prove a point.” In October, Clarkson told E! News that every time Swift releases a rerecorded album, she sends flowers as a thank you.
“You know what’s so funny? She just sent me flowers,” Clarkson told E! News. “She’s so nice. She did. She was like, ‘Every time I release something’ – ’cause she just did ‘1989.’”
Kelly added: “I love how kind she is… She’s a very smart businesswoman. So, she would have thought of that.”
The musician’s last serious relationship with actor Joe Alwyn was significantly more low-key, considering the two were only photographed together a handful of times during their six-year relationship. Swift told Time that being in a public relationship means “showing up for each other.”
“The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone,” she said. “And we’re just proud of each other.”
She also stated she isn’t sure how many times she’s broadcast during the games she’s attended so far and isn’t concerned about the added attention her presence at games brings or if her showing up results in “pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”
She added, “I’m just there to support Travis.”

Time magazine’s Person of the Year is Taylor Swift — because in this era, who else could it have possibly been?
The magazine announced its 2023 pick on Wednesday. The 33-year-old singer beat outBarbie, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and even King Charles III for the spot (though Swift, too, is undeniably royalty in her own right).
Swift told Time the honour — which has been previously bestowed to politicians, world leaders, activists and more — made her “the proudest and happiest I’ve ever felt.”
Swift graced the Time magazine pages with a powerful photoshoot that saw the Anti-Hero singer pose in her signature red lip shade. In one snap, Swift posed with one of her cats, Benjamin Button, around her neck.
Swift’s Time magazine feature, written by Sam Lansky, is a more in-depth look at the notoriously tight-lipped star than her fans are often used to. The interview is sweeping, covering topics from her Eras tour to when Kanye West interrupted her on stage at the 2009 VMAs and even her much-buzzed-about romance with football player Travis Kelce.
‘The Swift Effect’ being felt in Canada
Swift reminisced about the highs and lows of her career, and said she’s often been “given a tiara, then had it taken away.”

Though Swift captured the hearts of her dedicated fan base over a decade ago, she said this year has felt like “the breakthrough moment of my career.”
She’s not wrong. Swift reached even higher heights of success this year. Her highly praised The Eras Tour, which concluded its 2023 run in São Paulo last week, is anticipated to bring in an impressive US$4.1 billion (about C$5.5 billion), according to the Washington Post.
Swift broke Grammy records this year when she earned her seventh Song of the Year nomination, surpassing Sir Paul McCartney and Lionel Richie, who have six each.
Grammy Award nominations: Best Pop Solo Performance
She also released two heavily anticipated albums this year, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and 1989 (Taylor’s Version), as well as her Eras Tour movie.
On Spotify, Swift dethroned the longtime champion, Bad Bunny, as the platform’s most streamed artist globally. According to Spotify, international Swifties have listened to her music 26.1 billion times since the start of the year — which, for the record, is over three times more than there are people on the planet right now.

Swift told Time that the infamous incident involving her and West (who has since changed his name to Ye) shaped her to be the artist she is today. As Swift was awarded Best Female Video at the 2009 VMAs, Ye stole the mic to insist Beyoncé had a better video that year.
“I realized every record label was actively working to try to replace me,” Swift said, noting that 2009 was around the time she began to transition away from country music. “I thought instead, I’d replace myself first with a new me. It’s harder to hit a moving target.”
Years later, after she’d recovered her pride from being upstaged by Ye, he wrote a vulgar lyric about her in his song Famous. As the track blew up, Ye’s then-wife Kim Kardashian released a recording of an alleged phone call in which Swift seemingly consented to the lyric about her. Swift has denied ever consenting to the lyric and told Time the video of the phone call was doctored.
Swift said the fallout felt like a “career death.”
“Make no mistake—my career was taken away from me,” she said. “That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before.”
As the world called her a snake, Swift said she moved to a foreign country and shut herself out.
In the years since, Swift has undeniably bounced back (and even embraced the “snake” identity in her 2017 album Reputation).
Swift has had a cultural impact even beyond the entertainment world. When she attended an NFL game in October to cheer on her boyfriend Kelce, a tight end with the Kansas City Chief, the game became the most-watched match of Sunday football since the Super Bowl.

“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” Swift told Time.
Kelce told his audience that he tried to gift Swift a friendship bracelet at her show but was unable to meet the star.

“We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple.”
Swift said she is currently gearing up for the release of Reputation(Taylor’s Version), which like all other Taylor’s Version albums, will feature several tracks from the vault.
The Time magazine issue featuring Swift includes praise for the singer from Stevie Nicks, Greta Gerwig and more.

Last year’s Time Person of the Year was Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Taylor Swift fan dies at ‘Eras Tour’ concert in sweltering Rio de Janeiro heat
Taylor Swift has had a massive year, and now the pop star is opening up about her road to success — and all the bumps along the way.
In a rare interview with Time as she’s crowned the publication’s Person of the Year, Swift celebrated what she feels is the “breakthrough moment” of her career after her record-shattering Eras Tour and highly successful concert film.
“I’ve been raised up and down the flagpole of public opinion so many times in the last 20 years,” Swift told Time. “I’ve been given a tiara, then had it taken away. It feels like the breakthrough moment of my career, happening at 33. And for the first time in my life, I was mentally tough enough to take what comes with that.”
However, Swift said it took reaching her lowest point to truly appreciate this high. “It’s not lost on me that the two great catalysts for this happening were two horrendous things that happened to me,” she said. “The first was getting canceled within an inch of my life and sanity. The second was having my life’s work taken away from me by someone who hates me.”
Swift is referring in part to her public feud with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian that led to her “Reputation” era. In 2016, West released the song “Famous,” in which he infamously rapped the line “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex,” and claimed that Swift had consented to it. She denied this, leading to Kardashian releasing a recording of a conversation which seemed to indicate that Swift did in fact give the use of her name the green light. Swift told Time that in the moment, it felt like a “career death.”
“You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar,” Swift said. “That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before. I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn’t trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard.”
After the release of her “Reputation” follow-up “Lover,” Swift was struck down once again — this time by the sale of her catalog to Scooter Braun. “With the Scooter thing, my masters were being sold to someone who actively wanted them for nefarious reasons, in my opinion,” Swift told Time. “I was so knocked on my ass by the sale of my music, and to whom it was sold. I was like, ‘Oh, they got me beat now. This is it. I don’t know what to do.’”
What Swift ended up doing was re-recording all her albums and releasing them under the moniker “Taylor’s Version” — an unprecedented move that has sparked even more commercial success, as well as the catalyst for the Eras Tour, celebrating each specific period of her career.
As Swift fans who have been to an Eras show know, the concert is long — over 180 minutes — and extremely physically demanding, leading many to ask Swift to drop the workout routine. The pop star revealed to Time exactly what she did to prepare for the tour, which recently ended for the year in South America and will pick up again next year in Japan.
“Every day I would run on the treadmill, singing the entire set list out loud,” Swift said. “Fast for fast songs, and a jog or a fast walk for slow songs. Then I had three months of dance training, because I wanted to get it in my bones. I wanted to be so over-rehearsed that I could be silly with the fans, and not lose my train of thought.”
Swift also stopped drinking, saying to Time: “Doing that show with a hangover… I don’t want to know that world.”
Another topic on which Swift had yet to speak on until now is her budding relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Her appearances at his games have spiked football TV ratings and led to some claims that the romance is a publicity stunt due to just how public it is — but Swift affirmed to Time that that couldn’t be further from the truth.
“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell. We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other,” Swift said. “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”
She added, “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care. The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
Simone Biles is as regular (and nearly as famous) a presence at Green Bay Packers games as Taylor Swift is at Kansas City Chiefs games.
The highly decorated gymnast married Packers safety Jonathan Owens this summer, and she attends enough of his games to have noticed a fan well known for his impressively crafted outfits.
That man’s name is Jeff Kahlow, better known to fans at Lambeau Field as “Frozen Tundra Man.” Kahlow, who was profiled by Milwaukee’s Journal Sentinel, recently had an opportunity to meet Biles.
He brought her an impressive gift.

Kahlow, wearing an outfit with carved foam icicles hanging off his entire body, and including the requisite cheesehead hat, shook Biles’ hand gently.
“Hi, Simone,” he said enthusiastically, in a clip captured by Sunday Night Football‘s crew. “What a pleasure to meet you. You are the greatest of all time. I had to make you something. You are the GOAT.”
Kahlow then produced a bizarre but impressive hat. On top, he had carved a muscular goat with gold medals hanging off one hoof. The goat appeared to be wearing a leotard with “Biles GOAT” and the Olympic rings on the shoulder.
Biles thanked Kahlow with a big smile, put the hat on and turned so cameras could capture the moment.
“We can’t let your husband out of the picture,” Kahlow added and pulled out a similar carving for Owens.
The Journal Sentinel reported that Kahlow used the opportunity to get autographs from Biles for two young gymnasts whom his wife babysits. Kahlow, who uses scissors and a razor knife to make his creations and has been perfecting the craft for 32 years, told the newspaper that he has created hats for Tiger Woods, Willie Nelson, Harrison Ford and many other celebrities, as well as Packers players like Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers.
Biles has had an impressive year in 2023. In October, she collected two gold medals at the 2023 Gymnastics World Championships for balance beam and floor exercise. She also won a silver medal for vault. Biles owns the record for most combined world and Olympic medals, with 37. The U.S. women’s team won its seventh straight team title at the world championships.
Kahlow and Biles were treated to an impressive performance by the Packers on Sunday, as they defeated the Chiefs 27-19 and vaulted themselves into the seventh and final spot in the NFC playoff picture. Owens recorded five tackles in the win.
Swift, meanwhile, was in attendance to watch her boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Chiefs, who fell to 8-4. Kelce caught four passes on five targets for 81 yards.

The original snap featured a sultry Swift dripping in silver Balmain, while Lively sported a black Chanel ensemble. Not to be left out, on Sunday Reynolds shared a pic to his Instagram stories with his face replacing his wife’s, and Swift’s rumored boyfriend Travis Kelce’s over the singer’s mug.
“I feel like I should remember this,” he captioned the art.
Reynolds credited the creator of the art, @karthiknjartist, in his story. The artist has created several variations on the photo, including one with Kelce and Jason Momoa spooning while Swift lurks in the background, Reynolds and pal Rob McElhenney on the couch in front of a shadowy Deadpool, and yet another where Reynolds’s gloved hand is clutching Hugh Jackman‘s thigh. Variations on a theme, a classic of the art world.
Maybe Reynolds was feeling a bit of FOMO, since he didn’t get to attend the latest Chiefs game with Swift, as he and Lively (and Jackman, for that matter) did just a few months ago.
Swift was in attendance Sunday night at Lambeau Stadium in Wisconsin to watch the Chiefs face off against the Packers. Her fuzzy red coat over an all-black ensemble featured significantly less thigh than her royal attire to pay her respects to Queen Bey.
Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, or hail would keep Taylor Swift from seeing Travis Kelce play on Sunday evening. An advisory issued for northeast Wisconsin promised “heavy to moderate wet snow” through the scheduled kickoff time for the Green Bay Packers matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs that night, a game to be played at the open-air Lambeau Field.
Temperatures in the stadium will range between 28 and 31 degrees, Sports Illustrated notes, with a windchill that makes it feel far colder. Given that, one can see why Grammy-winning Packers superfanLil Wayne disputed Packers’ coach Matt LaFleur’s claims that Swift would attend tonight’s game in support of boyfriend/Kansas City Chiefs tight end Kelce. “It’s too cold out there for Taylor Swift, she’s not coming,” the “Green and Yellow,”told FOX Sports showUndisputed. But he was wrong.
Sure, Swift spent her formative years in balmy Nashville, Tennessee, but spent her earliest years in Pennsylvania. Famously raised on a Christmas tree farm, she’s surely faced inclement weather before. Even folks like ESPN NFL reporter Jeff Darlington wondered if the chill would keep Swift away, noting that Green Bay police were prepared for Swift at Lambeau…” weather permitting.”
And weather did, indeed, permit. Instagram account Taylor Swift’s Jets offered the first confirmation of her trip Sunday, showing her departing Kansas City on one of her planes and touching down in Green Bay shortly after that. Joining Swift on the flight was Brittany Mahomes, whose quarterback husband, Patrick, also plays for the Chiefs, the Daily Mail reports.

Clad in a long red coat, the singer strode into Lambeau at around 6:10 p.m. Green Bay time, an entrance tweeted by Yahoo Sports. Sunday Night Football caught Swift a few minutes later from a perch high in the stadium, seemingly using her phone to capture footage of the briskly falling snow.

With the holidays upon us, people everywhere are donning their silliest sweaters—and that includes Taylor Swift’s squirrel sweater
.
Over the weekend, the Midnights singer and her boyfriend Travis Kelce showed up to a holiday party in Kansas City, MO wearing what appeared to be matching holiday sweaters. In a photo shared by a fan on social media, Kelce’s back is turned to the camera but Taylor is seen wearing her sweatshirt as she mingles with fellow partygoers. The design on Taylor’s sweater appears to feature a squirrel wearing a Santa hat, which many are already interpreting as a cheeky reference to Kelce’s now-viral “squirle” tweet.
The tweet, which was originally shared back in April 2011, was resurfaced by fans after the NFL star started dating the 1989 (Taylor’s Version) singer earlier this year. In the tweet, which you can see below, Kelce misspelled the word “squirrel” as he recalls feeding one of these small woodland creatures a piece of bread. “I just gave a squirle a peice of bread and it straight smashed all of it!!!!” the message read. “I had no idea they ate bread like that!! Over on social media, fans of the couple have been giddy over the thought of Taylor poking fun at Kelce’s squirrel tweet. “UHM?! TAYLOR SWIFT?! TRAVIS KELCE?! WEARING MATCHING SQUIRREL SWEATERS?! AT A CHRISTMAS PARTY?!” one social media user wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
While it’s hard to make out the exact design of Taylor Swift’s squirrel sweater based on the photo from the event, there is speculation on social media that it’s this holiday squirrel sweater

Taylor Swift’s squirrel sweater wasn’t the only fun getup at the holiday party. Kelce’s teammate Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, were both at the event and were pictured wearing adorable reindeer onesies. Brittany took to Instagram to share a photo from the night alongside Patrick, his teammate Blake Bell, and his wife Lyndsey, who also wore matching Christmas tree onesies. “Falalalalalalalalala,” Brittany captioned the post.
Taylor’s appearance at the holiday party came just one day after she flew to England to join Beyoncé at the premiere of her Renaissance concert film. She spent less than a day in London before heading back to Kansas City, just in time for the ugly sweater party with Travis. And this is just the start of their holiday plans: according to Us Weekly, the couple already has a schedule laid out for the rest of the year.
“They have very detailed plans coming up while she’s on tour and he has games. Taylor and Travis have the next few months completely laid out,” an insider told the site. “They don’t want to start their relationship off with big gaps [in time spent apart]. They’re trying to be as much like a regular couple as possible.”

Following the fervor over Taylor Swift‘s The Eras Tour, AMC Theatres has issued a set of guidelines for the Beyhive as fans make their way to see Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé that includes asking moviegoers to take off costume pieces during the movie that could block the view for others, such as hats and wings.
The theater chain — which is also distributing both films — released the guidelines as the superstar’s concert movie opens across North America, where it’s on course for a better-than-expected $21 million-$24 opening after earning a coveted A+ CinemaScore and stellar reviews.
Like the Swifties, the Beyhive are encouraged to take selfies, dress up and sing during the screenings. They also are given the same warnings about not recording the actual film, not dancing on seats or blocking fellow theatergoers from “viewing, safely walking or exiting the auditorium,” according to the guidelines, which are posted on AMC’s website.
“You know the words, you know the choreography — sing & dance your heart out, but please respect each other’s space along with the theatre equipment,” the theater wrote.
AMC also offered up a handful of rules more specific to those members of the Beyoncé-loving crowd who may want to emulate the superstar’s elaborate wardrobe.
“We want to see your amazing outfits! Feel free to take selfies and group shots to celebrate the occasion and the beautiful ensembles you came up with,” states AMC. But the guidelines continue to say, “If parts of your outfit will potentially block other viewers from the screen, please remove them as the film begins (ex. headwear, wings, etc.), and please keep in mind that masks (except for standard face masks used explicitly for health and safety reasons) are not permitted.”
The no-mask edict is blanket policy for AMC because of security issues.
While Swifties were also encouraged to be respectful of other guests in their specific theater as well common locations such as the lobby, those attending the Beyoncé concert movie were specifically encouraged to “save your energy for once you are inside the Renaissance” screening.
AMC also made sure to let customers know that Renaissance runs two hours and 48 minutes on top of 15 to 20 minutes of trailers, and advised the Beyhive to “plan your bathroom breaks or other needs accordingly.”
Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé looks to score the biggest opening for the first weekend of December since Tom Cruise’s The Last Samurai debuted to $24.3 million 20 years ago in 2003, not adjusted for inflation. Beyoncé’s film has held on to its perfect 100 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes since Friday with the number of reviews doubling from nine to 18, in addition to an increase in from a near-perfect 99 percent audience score from 100 verified users to 100 percent from more than 250 reviews on Saturday.
To celebrate the film’s opening, Beyoncé dropped a new song, “My House,” the first new music from the artist since the release of Renaissance last year. The multiphyenate, who is now the most Grammy-awarded singer in history, also hosted star-studded red carpet premieres in Los Angeles and London. Swift — whose Eras Tour film opened in October to its own record-setting $92.8 million — was in attendance at the west coast event after Beyoncé also appeared at the L.A. premiere of Swift’s film.
With her Eras tour on break until the end of 2024, one wonders what Taylor Swift will do to keep herself busy. Sure, there’s the occasional red carpet event (for example, the London premiere of Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé), as well as whatever role she plays in the war between her publicist and anonymous Instagram account Deuxmoi over Swift’s past relationships, but how much time does stuff like that kill? Instead, says NFL great Matt LaFleur, the billionaire musician will settle into her time off era Sunday from the stands of Lambeau Field, where she’ll cheer boyfriend/Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce on as his team plays the Green Bay Packers.
Bookies and oddsmakers had already predicted a Chiefs win over the Packers, and that was before LaFleur’s post-practice interview Friday. When the Packers’ head coach was asked if Swift was expected to travel to Wisconsin to attend Sunday’s game, LaFleur responded, “That’s what I heard,” WBAY reports.
If the spell Swift cast on previous games continues for this one, that news could spell doom for LaFleur’s underdog team. As analysts, gambling experts, and the man himself have acknowledged, Kelce’s playing ability sharply improves when Swift is in the stands, to such an extent that they try to keep her gametime plans a secret to avoid skewing the odds.
But even if LaFleur had refused to comment, the cat might already be out of the bag. An Instagram account devoted to tracking the flight paths of Swift’s private planes claims she arrived in Kansas City Friday. According to taylorswiftjets (as the account is dubbed), the KC stop was the last leg in a trip that began in London shortly after Swift posed for the cameras at Beyoncé’s film premiere.

If accurate, Friday was Swift’s second arrival in Kansas City this week, after a flight from São Paulo (with a quick stop in Florida) on Monday. Swift and Kelce have “the next few months completely laid out,” an unnamed source reportedly said of the pair this week. “They’re trying to be as much like a regular couple as possible.”
It’s a nice dream, if true, but likely an impossible one. How many regular couples fly back and forth from London to Kansas City in a private jet tracked by a social media account with 44.9 million followers? How many regular couples end up on the topic of a pre-game press conference with a veteran coach? And how many regular couples have representatives who Vanity Fair contacted for this story (and who, in this case, did not respond as of publication time)?
In other words, good for Swift and Kelce if they’re trying to live life as you or I might! The grass is always greener, I suppose. But given the scrutiny the pair are under (this item included), how realistic a goal can that possibly be?
When celebrities choose to wear an affordable item, we tend to take notice. Seeing as Hollywood has access to the very best in everything (the best facialists, manicurists, and of course, stylists), it should come as no surprise that the wardrobe’s of the A-list would be equally as exclusive. And for the most part, they are. Celebs make headlines for wearing the latest designer It bag and those designers also clamor to have famous faces wear their collections. In other words, most celebs have their pick of luxury labels, but they love an affordable fashion find just like us because, well, sometimes the cheaper option really is the best.
Recently we’ve noticed some of the best-dressed stars in wallet-friendly pieces, so we figured it was worth sharing. From the $10 tights Taylor Swift wore all over NYC to the sneakers Jennifer Lawrence just stepped out in that could be the next It pair, these are the under-$150 items celebrities are prioritizing right now.
Taylor Swift’s fringe is essential to her signature aesthetic. She wears it straight, she wears it curly, she wears it in intense summer humidity. But for the Renaissance movie premiere in London, Swift decided to go (mostly) fringe-less, though that doesn’t mean she’s growing it out entirely. Rather, she presented a true masterclass in how to hide your fringe within your hairstyle.
Taylor Swift attended the premiere in a glittering silver gown, per the dress code, with her dark blonde hair worn in glamorous-yet-undone tousled Hollywood waves. Instead of wearing her fringe across her forehead as she usually does, Swift decided it was time for a change and brushed it over to one side along with her part, tucking it precisely under the front portions of her hair. They’re still bangs, obviously, but the sideswept style gives them a sweet, retro ‘50s vibe. Whatever pins she used to secure them must have been made from steel, because the tucked-away fringe didn’t budge one bit as she posed on the red carpet. (It remains to be seen if the look lasted during the movie itself, though, given that Swift is a noted and enthusiastic chair dancer.)

The rest of Swift’s Renaissance beauty look was just as bejewelled, with frosty metallic silver eye shadow and black liner. Swift’s red lipstick is just as important to her look as her fringe, and it was present and accounted for; lately, she’s been wearing a darker red shade, but Swift opted for a vibrant cherry for the Beyoncé film premiere.
This isn’t the first time Swift has done some hairstyling sleight of hand on the red carpet. For the premiere of her concert movie, she shouted out the 1989 album with a clever faux-bob that harkened back to her beloved crop from that era. At the MTV VMAs, she wore what we can only describe as a deconstructed French twist with lots of romantic curls and waves pulled out. Swift is currently on a break from the Eras tour, which means you never know where she’ll pop up next — and what she’ll be doing with her hair.
“RENAISSANCE: A Film By Beyoncé” hit theaters on Dec. 1, and the night before, Queen Bey attended a star-studded premiere in London. Taylor Swift, who debuted her own concert film earlier this year and received support from Beyoncé, was in attendance.
Swift shared a shot of herself and Beyoncé tossing popcorn at the Los Angeles premiere for “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” movie in October, writing: “I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without @beyonce’s influence. The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms.”
Swift said in the Instagram post that Beyoncé has a “generosity of spirit,” and “resilience and versatility.”
“She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale,” she wrote.

Swift, like many others at the premiere for “RENAISSANCE: A Film By Beyoncé,” was photographed wearing an on-theme gown that was silver and sparkly. Beyoncé wore a black dress with a large silver emblem on the front.
Many fans wore elaborate black and silver ensembles to Beyoncé’s concerts this year. In fact, during the shows that fell during the astrological “Virgo Season,” Aug. 23 to Sept. 22, Beyoncé asked in an Instagram story that concert attendees celebrate her zodiac sign by “wearing your most fabulous silver fashions.” Beyoncé’s birthday is Sept. 4 and her album includes a song called “Virgo’s Groove.”

Other attendees at the London premiere included Michelle Williams and Blake Lively. Beyoncé also held a Los Angeles premiere that included famous faces such as Janelle Monae, Gabrielle Union and Tyler Perry.
In addition to the film premiere on Friday, Beyoncé also released a new song: “MY HOUSE.”
Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” tour grossed an estimated $580 million as of October, according to Billboard.
Both Beyoncé and Swift’s tours were wildly popular and were even credited with boosting the economy by bringing masses to cities for concerts. Swift’s Ears Tour, which recently completed part of its international leg, is expected to be the highest grossing tour ever, raking in an estimated $900 million, according to Billboard. The “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” movie, which hit theaters Oct. 13, grossed more than $248 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo.
