  • Fergie’s Arrest Reportedly ‘Inevitable’ as Andrew’s Ex-Wife Seemingly Goes into Hiding—It’s ‘Only a Matter of Time’

    [ad_1]

Sarah Ferguson may never return to the United Kingdom lest she wants to be put in handcuffs like her ex-husband, ex-Prince Andrew.

A source told Rob Shuter’s “Naughty But Nice” Substack in a post published on February 24 that Fergie is hiding in the United Arab Emirates, where she’s sheltered by a wealthy friend who’s offered her security, privacy, and refuge following Andrew’s arrest. “She has gone into the fire,” the insider said. “This isn’t a holiday. It’s survival. She will be arrested next if she returns to the UK.” The source continued, “It’s only a matter of time — it’s inevitable.”

Andrew, for his part, was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office on February 19. His arrest came after allegations he shared confidential information with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein while acting as a trade envoy for the U.K.

Fergie, who was married to Andrew from 1986 to 1996, also has a history with Epstein and appeared in the latest Epstein files released by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), which included an alleged email to Epstein about her daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.

Shuter’s report that Fergie is in the UAE also comes after the Daily Mail reported that the former Duchess of York had left the U.K. and checked into the Swiss rehabilitation clinic, Parcelsus Recovery, which is located in Zurich. (People could not independently confirm the Daily Mail’s report.) According to the Daily Mail, Fergie left for the facility just after Christmas in December and has stayed through the end of January.

“She always feels at home at Paracelsus, and knows she’ll get love and attention there, as well as expert health treatment when she’s feeling at her most vulnerable,” a source told the Daily Mail. Another source added that Fergie, who has appeared in promotional videos for the clinic and wrote an op-ed about it for The Telegraph, has a “strong relationship with Paracelsus, so it was the obvious place for her to get away from everything.”

A source also told Us Weekly in a report published on February 23 that Andrew and Fergie are “miserable” and in “survival mode” amid their Epstein scandal. “They are miserable,” the insider said. “And misery loves company.” The source continued, “There’s no real return to royal life. [They’re] very much in survival mode.”

  • Kate & Fergie’s Relationship Takes Drastic Turn After the Ex-Duchess’ ‘Self-Sabotage’—It’s ‘Utter Madness’

    [ad_1]

Kate Middleton and Sarah Ferguson’s friendship has been an unlikely tale, but new revelations from royal sources say that the Princess of Wales and the former Duchess of York’s bond might be heading into hot water.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s scandals have reportedly tired out Prince William and his wife, and they’ve been grateful to see his uncle out the door with his titles stripped and exiled to Sandringham. “Kate is pleased, though it’s a little harder for her to admit this because she and Sarah were previously so friendly. She hated the idea of residing so close to Andrew and feels relieved that he’s no longer living in such close proximity,” a source told Closer UK. “Kate does feel badly for Sarah, but there’s
no denying the fact she has made some terrible choices.
The fact that she elected to try to lie her way out of trouble for such a long time has ultimately come at a terrible price.”

Related: Kate Reportedly Terrified of What Fergie Could ‘Reveal’ After Reports She’s Writing a ‘Tell-All For Money’—They Were ‘Friends’ For ‘Years’

The pair’s friendship reportedly developed due to their shared experiences with cancer. Middleton was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer at the beginning of 2024 and announced she was in remission early in 2025. Sarah Ferguson has had cancer twice: breast cancer in June 2023 and malignant melanoma in January 2024.

One point of contention between the two, however, is the new rumor that Fergie would be willing to take back Andrew. “In her view, taking him back would be utter madness and an act of total self-sabotage on Sarah’s part,” the source said. “She very much doesn’t want Sarah to fall back into his trap.”

RadarOnline, reported that the loss of their titles and the eviction from Royal Lodge has brought them closer together. “Andrew and Sarah share a unique understanding that no one else can relate to,” an insider told the outlet.

“Friends are saying they appear happier and closer than they have [been] in years, and there’s a definite spark when they’re alone,” the source added. Another source suggested there’s a “thrill” for the two in navigating the scandal together

Kate is urging Fergie to take the high road. ‘It’s a real opportunity for Sarah to put her hands up
and show some honesty, transparency and class – not crawl back to Andrew and be sucked in by his manipulation as she has been in the past,’
the Closer source says.

  • Fergie Accused of ‘Selling Access’ to Royal Family After Report She’s ‘Panicking’ Over Her New ‘Financial Reality’

    [ad_1]

As if things couldn’t get worse for her, Sarah Ferguson is being accused of “selling access” to the British royal family and providing “secret information” for cash amid her and her ex-husband Prince Andrew’s exile from The Firm.

A source told Andrew Lownie’s Substack in a report published on November 20 that the allegations first surfaced when Queen Elizabeth II was still alive, with the rumors negatively impacting the queen’s relationship with Fergie.

“The Queen described Sarah as the type of person who was beyond experiencing guilt, shame, or regret for her terrible actions because all she cared about was herself and nobody else,” the insider said. “The Queen said Sarah was ‘remorseless.’”

The source continued, “She sold access to the Royal Family and secrets of the Royal Family…to make a quick buck. It was an utter betrayal of the trust placed in her. It was all calculated to prioritize her own personal interests.” Another insider also claimed that Fergie was told to “get professional help” once the allegations surfaced.

“It’s become abundantly clear that Sarah has withdrawn,” the source told Lownie. “No matter what she gets herself into, I’ll always love her. We’ve shared many laughs over the years. She needs to reframe all these negative situations and somehow take small steps to reconnect with herself. I hope she gets professional help to deal with all the turmoil surrounding her.”

The insider added, “I hope and pray she does this before it’s too late.”

The report comes after Fergie was recorded on tape in 2010 offering to sell access to Andrew for $650,000 to News of World reporter Mazher Mahmoon. She accepted $50,000 as a down payment. “That opens up everything you would ever wish for,” she told the undercover reporter, according to the recording. “I can open any door you want, and I will for you. Look after me and he’ll look after you… You’ll get it back tenfold.”

The report also comes after a source told Radar Online in November 2025 that Fergie is on a “desperate hunt for a wealthy suitor” now that she’s lost her place in the royal family due to her and Andrew’s association with Jeffrey Epstein.

“Sarah’s always been a survivor, but this time she’s genuinely scared. The idea of slipping into obscurity – or worse, running out of money – is haunting her. She’s telling people she needs to find a man with real wealth who can help her keep living the way she’s used to,” the insider said, adding that Fergie was “panicking” about her new “financial reality.” The source also added that Fergie had “no intention” of downsizing her life as she and Andrew were forced to move out of their home at Royal Lodge.

“She’s desperately framing it as a fresh start, but in truth it’s more of a bailout,” the insider continued. “She’s not about to part with her designer clothes, luxury trips, or spa days. The only way she can sustain that lifestyle now is by finding someone rich enough to fund it. She’s on the hunt for a true sugar daddy now, and is appealing to the few people in high society who will still speak to her to make introductions.”

The source continued, “She’s telling people it’s like being freed from the royal leash, but she knows the financial reality has hit hard. What she wants now is someone who can give her security and keep her in the comfort she’s always enjoyed.”

  • Beatrice & Eugenie Reportedly ‘Deeply Concerned’ For Fergie’s ‘Heavy Drinking’ After Her Cancer Diagnosis—They’re ‘Urging Her to Ease Up’

    [ad_1]

Princess Beatrice and Eugenie are reportedly “concerned” for their mother Sarah Ferguson‘s wellbeing after her and their father ex-Prince Andrew‘s royal exile.

A source told Radar Online in a report published on November 16 that many members of the British royal family, including Fergie’s daughters Beatrice and Eugenie, believe she’s headed down a “dangerous downward spiral” and is “losing her grip” after she and Andrew lost their royal titles and home at Royal Lodge following their association with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

“Sarah’s been drinking heavily lately. She says it helps her unwind, but it’s gone way beyond that – she’s staying up late most nights with a glass in her hand. Everyone around her is deeply concerned because she seems genuinely scared about what’s ahead. Considering her recent health issues, what she’s doing – pickling her organs – could be seen as suicidal or a death wish,” the insider said, adding that those close to Fergie believe she’s “drowning her sorrows.”

Another source called Fergie’s alleged behavior “heartbreaking” after her battle with two forms of cancer. She was previously diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023 and melanoma, a type of skin cancer, in 2024.

“She’s become very fragile and emotional. Some nights she talks about everything she’s lost – her place in the family, her home, her direction in life. She’s terrified of ending up with nothing, and those close to her are afraid she might reach a breaking point,” the insider said.

As for her daughters, the source claimed that Beatrice and Eugenie have been encouraging Fergie to “ease up on the drinking.” “The girls are deeply concerned,” the insider said. “They’re constantly checking in, urging her to ease up on the drinking and take care of herself. They’ve even reached out to other relatives to make sure someone’s always looking out for her.”

Fergie’s older sister, public relations executive Jane Ferguson Luedecke, also recently flew from Australia to London to offer her support, according to Radar Online’s source. “Jane’s doing her best to cheer her up, but Sarah just isn’t herself,” the insider said. “She’s been in tears often and keeps saying she feels stuck. She still promises to support Andrew, but deep down she knows their paths have split – and it’s really weighing on her.”

The inside also noted that Fergie and Andrew’s relationship has deteriorated dramatically ever since their royal exile started. “They’re basically strangers now,” the insider said. “Andrew spends his time shut away, pacing and mumbling to himself, while Sarah retreats to her bar or stays in her room. The only time they come together is for meals, and even then, it’s just endless talk about their problems. It’s a really grim atmosphere.”

The source continued, “Sarah’s petrified she’ll get dragged down with everything surrounding Andrew. She’s convinced there are shadowy figures keeping tabs on him and fears she could be next. It might sound far-fetched, but she’s truly rattled.”

As for what’s keeping her going, the source noted that Fergie has taken comfort in Sandy and Muick, two corgis who once belonged to Queen Elizabeth II that Andrew gifted to her following his mother’s death. “The pets are what keep her grounded,” the insider said. “They’re the only thing that truly soothes her. But when evening comes and she’s alone again in The Doghouse, all the anxiety and dark thoughts creep back in.”

  • Finally Confirmation on if Andrew & Fergie Are Moving to the US After Reports ‘America Feels Like Freedom’ From What They Did

    [ad_1]

Andrew and Fergie have been in the middle of scandal after scandal for years. And yet, it is only now that they’re facing some level of consequences for their own actions. So what do two people who are used to doing what they want and never being held accountable do at this point? The answer might just be to run away.

But not to the United States, where the two might be compelled to testify against Congress, according to royal biographer Andrew Lownie. ”Andrew will not respond or testify in front of Congress,” he told NewsNationNow.

Related: Here’s what each royal inherited from Queen Elizabeth

”He — or his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson — will never travel to the United States again. Neither want to be arrested or forced to testify in front of Congress about their friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.”

With the so-called Epstein files being released in the United States, there’s fear that more scandalous revelations about their association with the convicted sex offender could be coming out. “Both of them were much friendlier with Epstein than people imagine,” Lownie said, explaining it is expected that upcoming leaks will prove “that their friendship with Epstein began much earlier than previously thought and that it lasted much longer than people say.”

That’s not all, according to Lownie. “We’re going to get other names of people who were trafficked to Andrew, particularly girls younger than Virginia. We are also going to get a stronger sense of the sort of monies that were exchanged and paid to Sarah Ferguson.”

Ferguson has claimed she “borrowed” $15,000 from Epstein, but the royal biographer says that’s underselling it. By a lot. ”The total (amount given to Ferguson by Epstein over the years) was $2 million,” he said. “He felt it was a good investment as (the Yorks) would introduce him to other royals.”

This contradicts earlier reports from Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop, which had suggested Fergie was planning a “major relocation” to either Palm Beach or Beverly Hills to get away from the “relentless scrutiny” in England.

“America feels like freedom to her,” a source told the publication. “In London, the whispers never stop. In the U.S., she thinks she can blend in with every other famous face who reinvented themselves.” At the time, there were no reports of Andrew moving with her, but the two have remained close despite their divorce and even lived together at Royal Lodge for over a decade.

Now, however, they will both have to leave the property. Andrew is said to be moving to his brother’s estate in Sandringham, where all his expenses will be paid by the King. There has been no confirmation of where Fergie will live, though some reports indicate she could be moving in with one of her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

Wherever the two end up, considering all that is coming out about Epstein in the US and all that’s likely to come out in the days ahead, we probably won’t see Andrew or Fergie follow in the footsteps of Harry and Meghan and relocate to the United States.

  • Fergie Reportedly ‘Fears’ for Andrew’s Life as Sources Claim the Ex-Prince Is ‘Probably Going to Jail’—He’s a ‘Sitting Duck’

    [ad_1]

Sarah Ferguson is reportedly worried about her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s safety after his titles were stripped. The situation is causing turmoil within the family behind closed doors.

According to sources to The Sun, the former Duchess of Sussex is “leaning on staff” after it was reported that she’s losing her security staff at Royal Lodge, their longtime residence, where they will be kicked out soon.

“Sarah, in particular, is panicking about what comes next, and she is not in a good place,” a source told the publication. “She fears being caught in the crosshairs and is worried about herself and her and Andrew’s daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie.”

However, more emphasis is put on her ex. “But she is particularly fearful for Andrew as she knows he was at the centre of the Epstein scandal. She has talked about ‘dark forces’ potentially targeting him.”

Related: Prince William’s Relationship With Beatrice & Eugenie Takes a Dramatic Turn After He ‘Threatened’ to Take Away Their Royal Titles

RadarOnline.com reported that he could face criminal charges now that he’s got no titles to protect him. A source told the outlet, “Andrew’s in a very precarious position now. Without the protection his royal titles gave him, he’s more wide open to legal action.”

“The Palace has clearly distanced itself, and he’s been left to deal with the fallout over his links to Epstein alone. He is a sitting duck for law enforcement, and very vulnerable. He should be getting a top legal team in place now.”

Another source added, “Andrew has never been this exposed, both legally and in the public eye. His title once gave him a degree of protection, but that safety net has vanished. If authorities in the U.S. or U.K. uncover new evidence, he’ll be under huge pressure to answer for it just like anyone else.”

“Andrew is going to be charged with various public offences and misconduct in public office… he’ll probably go to jail,” the author of a recent royal biography on Andrew and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, Andrew Lownie, told NewsNation. “The case against him is pretty clear. He’s absolutely, he’s toast.”

However, according to Lownie, Andrew won’t go down for his connections to Epstein or the trafficking accusations. “He won’t go down for sex trafficking,” Lownie explained. “It will be for financial impropriety.” It all ties back to the fact that the former Prince reportedly overspent on his trips as a trade envoy, and not just that, asked a protection officer to dig up dirt on Virginia Giuffre.

  • Andrew & Fergie Reportedly in ‘Trouble’ as Sources Claim the Ex-Prince Will ‘Probably Go to Jail’ While His Ex-Wife Is ‘Investigated’

    [ad_1]

After Andrew Mountbouten Windsor‘s titles were stripped, the next question is whether he and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson will be held accountable for their connection to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

According to royal biographer Andrew Lownie who wrote his biography Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, he and his wife will be left scathed. “Andrew is going to be charged with various public offences and misconduct in public office… he’ll probably go to jail,” the author claimed to NewsNation. The case against him is pretty clear. He’s absolutely, he’s toast.”

Despite his connection to Jeffrey Epstein and accounts of sexual abuse, the former working royal “He won’t go down for sex trafficking,” Lownie explained. “It will be for financial impropriety.”

During his trips, Andrew reportedly spent a lot of money on his trips as a trade envoy, preferring to have accommodations in five star hotels when he was abroad. The Metropolitan Police has also publicly said it is “actively looking into” claims that Andrew asked a close-protection officer in 2011 to dig up personal information about his accuser, Virginia Giruffe.

As for Sarah Ferguson, Lownie says that she could be investigated for her charity work. “She’s been basically using charities to make money. So she’s gonna be in trouble there,” Lownie said.

Lownie argues that the ex-couple could avoid the consequences of their actions by fleeing the United Kingdom. ”Andrew will end up in the UAE like Juan Carlos and as for Fergie, she will likely go to live in Portugal and Switzerland while maintaining a small presence in London with help from friends,” Lownie said.

“(Ferguson) did get an offer from a billionaire in Bolivia to live for free there, but it’s unlikely she will do that.”

The ex-couple is being pushed out of their house The Royal Lodge. A royal source told Daily Mail about Sarah Ferguson, “The honest truth is that she has nowhere to go and no-one to go with. Her future is hanging in the balance,” explaining that, “People don’t want to be associated with her anymore.”

People recently reported that, “She is going to be moving out and into a separate home,” with a source saying she has never asked for handouts. “Contrary to reports, she has never asked for a property or any provision for herself.” The source also said, “She will continue to forge an independent life.”

  • Prince William and Kate Middleton Officially Have a New Address

    [ad_1]

Prince William and Kate Middleton have moved into what they hope will be their “home for life.” The couple and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, have bid farewell to Adelaide Cottage, where they had been living since late summer 2022, to take up discreet residence at Forest Lodge, a magnificent 19th-century manor house, also located on Windsor’s Great Park. The move took place during the All Saints’ vacation, which ended on Sunday, November 2, according to the Telegraph.

The couple’s move was confirmed by Kensington Palace last August. It was scheduled to take place “before Christmas,” but some renovation and modernization work, both inside and out, was reportedly completed ahead of schedule, allowing the timeline to shift. The necessary renovations, as well as the installation of privacy measures, are said to have been financed by the future king, William, himself. The family’s belongings were gradually moved from one house to another so that the move could be completed before the end of the school holidays, the Telegraph reported.

The red-brick mansion offers more space than the Prince and Princess of Wales’s previous home. Adelaide Cottage has four bedrooms, while Forest Lodge has twice as many. There’s also plenty of green space, including a pond and tennis court. By moving into Forest Lodge, the Waleses are staying in Windsor’s Great Park, where they love the peace and tranquillity of the green expanses, while remaining close to Windsor Castle and London—a good hour’s drive away—where they regularly travel on official business. As the old and new houses are only a 10 minute drive apart, the family will be able to maintain their usual routines. The children will continue to attend Lambrook School.

  • ‘Extremely Greedy’ Fergie’s New Home Revealed After Andrew Was Evicted From Royal Lodge—Here’s if They’ll Still Live Together

    [ad_1]

The Andrew drama has escalated dramatically in the past few days. We went from him giving up his title and honors to Buckingham Palace announcing he would be losing the honorific of Prince, and he would be evicted from Royal Lodge. But he’s not the only one who was living at Royal Lodge; his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, also was. So, what does the new announcement mean for her?

People is now reporting that Ferguson will move into a new home of her own after the two have been asked to surrender the lease to their longtime residence. “She is going to be moving out and into a separate home,” a source told the outlet. “Contrary to reports, she has never asked for a property or any provision for herself,” the source added. “She will continue to forge an independent life.”

Related: Here’s what each royal inherited from Queen Elizabeth

Reportedly, Ferguson is unlikely to relocate to Sandringham, where Andrew will be living from here on out. Reports indicate his future accommodation will be privately funded by King Charles. Andrew and Fergie are expected to leave Royal Lodge as soon as possible.

Just recently, The Sun reported that the disgraced royal had made demands to vacate his current home. He reportedly wanted Frogmore Cottage, which used to be the home of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, for himself and Adelaide Cottage, the home Prince William and Kate Middleton are about to move out of, for his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.

Andrew and Fergie married in 1986, separated in 1992, and divorced in 1996, but the two have remained close. Andrew moved into his current home of Royal Lodge in 2003, with Ferguson joining him there in 2008. But the decision to live together wasn’t about affection, according to the Daily Mail.

“It’s lucrative for both of them to be together,” royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told the outlet, explaining that the “mutually advantageous” agreement has allowed both of “them to live at a certain level.”

Fergie once boasted to the Financial Times in 2021 that she and Andrew were “the happiest divorced couple in the world,” explaining about their living arrangements, “I’m lucky enough to be a guest at Royal Lodge,” which was described as “quite big.” She even added, “He’s that side and I’m this side.”

“They’ve kept that facade up very well,” Fitzwilliams told the Daily Mail. “My feeling is that it was because they are extremely greedy.”

Andrew’s lease on Royal Lodge was recently published by The Times, showing that he has only been charged “one peppercorn (if demanded)” in rent each year since 2003. That has, reportedly, added to the general discontent from people in the know about Andrew and Fergie being allowed to stay in the property despite their numerous scandals.

Now, that’s over. The former Duke and Duchess of York will vacate Royal Lodge and now go their separate ways, as normal divorced couples do. But it doesn’t look like scandal will leave them alone, no matter where they hide.

  • Epstein Victim Reveals Prince Andrew & Ghislaine Maxwell’s HORRIFYING Convo About Beatrice & Eugenie! – Perez Hilton

    [ad_1]

Every new detail that comes out about Jeffrey Epstein and his circle just reminds us what a monster this man was — and why we should never stop fighting to uncover the names of every participant in his underage sex trafficking ring.

One name that’s been out there maybe the longest? Prince Andrew.

The royal family’s black sheep has never been formally charged with a crime, but he has been accused of engaging in the sex trafficking. Victim Virginia Roberts Giuffre claimed Epstein sent her to have sex with Andrew more than once, including when she was just 17 years old. As disgusting as that is — considering Andrew would have been 41 at the time — it’s worse when you factor in his daughters.

The infamous photo of Prince Andrew with Virginia Roberts, who says she was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein to have sex with the Royal when she was just 17. / (c) BBC/WENN

Andrew’s own children Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were 12 and 11, respectively, when Andrew allegedly had sex with Virginia for the first time.

Related: Virginia Giuffre Describes ‘Prime Minister’ Who Tortured Her In Posthumous Memoir!

You might think Andrew compartmentalized this fact when he was having sex with a teen girl. But it was apparently front of mind. In her posthumous memoir, Virginia describes the first night she met Andrew. She says Epstein’s Ghislaine Maxwell introduced them — and challenged the Prince to guess Virginia’s age.

“The Duke of York, who was then 41, guessed correctly: 17. ‘My daughters are just a little younger than you,” he told me, explaining his accuracy.’”

Ew. Ew ew ewwww! He said this to her?! He could tell how young she was because of how she resembled his own young daughters?!? JFC, man.

And if you think that’s disturbing, it gets worse when Maxwell responds:

“As usual, Maxwell was quick with a joke: ‘I guess we will have to trade her in soon.’”

WTF. What the actual bleeding EFF.

“We will have to trade her in”? As in… trade her in because she’s too old? For what, girls even younger? As in, closer in age to his own daughters? Or was she actually joking about trading her for Beatrice and Eugenie??

Any possible interpretation we can think of is more horrifying than the last. JFC, these people…

We have to say, this is even more horrifying when you take into account Epstein’s claims that Sarah Ferguson brought the princesses along with her when she visited him after he got out of prison. You know, the first time he evaded sex trafficking charges. That would have been just a few years after the meeting Virginia described. The idea of Beatrice and Eugenie coming face to face with that monster after this convo? Shivers.

  • Fergie Finally Confirms if She Also Lost Her Royal Title After Report She & Andrew Could Get ‘Banished’ From the Family

    [ad_1]

From the moment Prince Andrew announced he would no longer use his titles and honors, the question on everyone’s mind was: what about his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson? Would she still be using the title of Duchess of York even though Andrew was no longer using the title of Duke of York? Now, it seems like we’ve got a clear answer on that, and it came on social media.

Sarah Ferguson has now removed “the Duchess of York” from her social media. People had previously reported that as Andrew gave up his titles, Ferguson would also not use the title going forward. And that change has been reflected on her social media, as she has changed her X handle from “@SarahTheDuchess” to “@sarahMFergie15.” Her Instagram handle remains “@SarahFerguson15.”

Andrew’s page on the royal family’s official website was also updated, replacing his title with just Prince Andrew. The biography text has not been completely updated, as there are still references to the title in the text.

Queen Elizabeth II originally made her son the Duke of York when he married Fergie in 1986, which made Ferguson the Duchess of York. The two separated in 1992, and divorced in 1996, but Ferguson has retained the title.

In a statement released by Buckingham Palace on Friday, Oct. 17, Prince Andrew stated, “In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family. I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.”

“With His Majesty’s agreement, we feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honours which have been conferred upon me,” he added. “As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me.”

This is reportedly not all, as The Sunday Times reports that Prince William will go even further when he is King, banning Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson from public and private royal events and state occasions, including his coronation. This ban will reportedly not extend to the couple’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

Reportedly, this all ties back to the fact that William and his wife, Kate Middleton, are not happy that Prince Andrew is still living at Royal Lodge, which is very close to their new home, Forest Lodge. Royal author Tina Brown said in her Fresh Hell Substack (via the Daily Mail), “Unless Andrew can be persuaded to banish himself to a cottage on the Balmoral estate or a cushy villa on a Dubai golf course, his scowly, jowly visage will keep seeping back into the national consciousness.”

“How do you disappear a 6-foot-tall, 190-pound, 65-year-old man in robust good health who has an iron-clad contract to live in the Queen Mother’s former mansion, a short neigh from Windsor Castle and just four miles from the new “forever” home of Prince William and Kate, who can’t abide him?” she also asked.

Prince William reportedly has plans for that, though perhaps the bigger obstacle that remains is what happens when King Charles dies. “The thornier question, perhaps approaching faster than anyone is indelicate enough to discuss, is whether, in the fullness of time, Andrew will be allowed to attend his brother, the king’s, funeral.”
