Rani Mukherji wears daughter Adira’s initials at National Awards after she…, REVEALS real reason for…

Rani Mukerji’s emotional gesture of wearing a custom gold necklace with her daughter Adira’s initials at the 71st National Film Awards melted hearts. Read on to know the reason.

Rani Mukherji wears daughter Adira’s initials at National Awards after she…, REVEALS real reason for...

Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji shared her heartfelt feelings after winning her first National Film Award for her film, Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway. The necklace she wore at the awards ceremony in Delhi wasn’t just a piece of jewelry, but a special memory of her daughter Adira. The necklace featured Adira’s initials. This is why, when photos and videos went viral on social media, people called it the most beautiful moment of the day. Rani shared at the India Today Conclave that her daughter Adira wanted to attend the ceremony, but children under 14 were not allowed. Hearing this, Adira broke down in tears and said it was unfair that she couldn’t accompany her mother on her special day. Rani thought to wear a necklace with Adira’s initials. Rani smiled and said, “She’s my lucky charm. I wanted her with me, and this was the closest I could do,”

Rani further explained that when Instagram reels and posts about the necklace went viral, she showed them to Adira. She said, “I want to thank everyone who made those reels and snippets on Instagram, writing that ‘Rani carried her daughter along.’ I showed them to Adira, and it calmed her down.” This small gesture became a great memory for her and her daughter.

Rani Mukerji paused here to not only share her feelings but also address the stereotypes that often bind women between career and marriage and children. She said that the notion that women can’t work after marriage or having children is wrong. She cited actresses like Hema Malini, Sharmila Tagore, and Dimple Kapadia, who continued working even after marriage and having children. Rani said, “Each woman should decide for herself what she wants to do,” she said firmly. “If you want to work after marriage, it’s your choice. If you want to be a homemaker, that’s also your right. Being a homemaker is one of the toughest jobs.”

  • EXCLUSIVE: Karan Johar says he would ‘correct gender politics’ if he had chance to remake Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

EXCLUSIVE: Karan Johar says he would ‘correct gender politics’ if he had chance to remake Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji starrer Kuch Kuch Hota Hai recently clocked 25 glorious years of release. The makers have re-released the film to celebrate 25 years of the film. Now, the director of the film Karan Johar who recently graced our Pinkvilla Masterclass, opened up on various topics and also answered some interesting fans’ questions. During the interactive session, the director revealed what changes he would make if he had the chance to remake Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

Karan Johar reveals changes he would make if he had chance to remake Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

During the exclusive interaction with us, a fan asked Karan Johar what made the director say Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was an “unusually silly” movie in one of the previous interviews. Sharing a light smile, the director said, “Yeah I got a lot of hate for that. It’s like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai lived an emotional legacy and it had so much nostalgia. But the thing is (laughs) is that if you really look at the story as I said what I said about innocence and conviction it operates beautifully as an example with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. When I have children they are nearly seven and I start reading letters out to them, I’m not sure how proactive they will be and they definitely not go after that to find some lost love of mine. They won’t have that comprehension.

He said, “Plus, how did this dying Rani know that 8 years later Kajol would remain unmarried and in no relationship? It was like I couldn’t understand what that first or second or third letter must have said.”

Speaking about changes he would make if he had a chance to remake Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, he further added, “Now that we’re speaking the language of the woke world, it’s the gender politics of the film are not something I’m very proud of. I feel like if I had to make Kuch Kuch Hota Hai again, I would correct the gender politics with life, time, experience, and evolution I’ve understood, how important it is as to what we show on celluloid, the communication is so critical so I may have used the word silly in an unfavorable manner, I didn’t mean it like that. I meant that the film has some logical as well as some inappropriate parts in terms of gender politics that I wish were different.”

    WATCH THE FULL INTERVIEW:

Speaking about Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, the romantic drama film tells the story of a complicated love triangle of three college-going students Rahul Khanna (played by SRK), Anjali Sharma (played by Kajol), and Tina Malhotra (played by Rani Mukherji). • Rani Mukerji revealed that the term ‘OTT content’ bothers her and films should be watched in cinemas

Rani Mukerji revealed that the term ‘OTT content’ bothers her and films should be watched in cinemas

Despite savouring the success of her latest film, Mrs Chatterjee Vs. Norway, actress Rani Mukerji revealed that she was anxious before the premiere. According to reports, the movie is doing well at the box office, therefore Rani spoke out about the “cynicism” surrounding the movie’s release. She remembered the difficulties in the movie.

Sagarika Chakaraborty’s true-life narrative served as the basis for Ashima Chibber’s film Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway, which was adapted from her memoir The Journey of a Mother.

In the movie, Rani plays Debika Chatterjee, a mother who is fighting for the custody of her children after they were taken from her under the pretext of bad parenting.

The opening day box office gross for Mrs Chatterjee Vs. Norway was Rs. 1.27 crore thanks to positive reviews. Reflecting on its box office numbers, recently Rani said in an interview with a leading news agency that she truly believes that a good film will always find its audience, regardless of what the genre is.

Talking about the challenges, she said, “There was a lot of challenge for our film because the new fashionable word that is going on is OTT ‘content’ – it is something that has bothered me a lot. Because I do believe that cinema is an experience to be had in the theatres.”

    Rani Mukerji

She also mentioned how there was a lot of cynicism prior to the movie’s premiere and how many critics used the fashionable term “OTT content.”

“So, it was really scary because when you are all alone, fighting this cynicism, I was just hoping and praying that the audience validates my belief in good cinema. And the audience has done that,” Rani added.

  • Box Office: John Wick 4 emerges number 1; Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar and Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway remain steady

Box Office: John Wick 4 emerges number 1; Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar and Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway remain steady

The new week at the box office began with a new film emerging as the most preferred film choice for Indian moviegoers. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar held the top spot for 2 consecutive weeks and now it is the second most preferred film on its third Friday. John Wick 4 is the box office leader this Friday and it seems so for the rest of the week too, before the release of Bholaa and Dasara. Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway took the third spot, comprehensively netting over this week’s new release Bheed. Most of the other releases of last week have been discontinued at most centres due to a poor show.

John Wick 4 Emerges As The Most Preferred Movie Option For Indian Moviegoers

John Wick 4 had a very good Friday of Rs 6 crore nett. The Thursday night previews that netted around Rs 2.5 crores already gave an indication of a box office breakout and it has successfully managed it now with a first day collection of Rs 8.50 crores including premieres. It will not just emerge as the highest grossing John Wick film in India tomorrow but will also trump the net box office total of the first three John Wick films in the country. John Wick has never been a big franchise in India from a box office perspective but with John Wick 4 running so comprehensively in Indian theatres, the future of the franchise looks very bright. It is the box office leader this Friday in India and it will remain so till the release of Bholaa and Dasara next weekend.

The Day Wise Box Office Collections Of John Wick 4 Are As Follows:

    Premieres – Rs 2.50 cr

    Day 1 – Rs 6 cr

    Total – Rs 8.50 crores

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar Remains Steady On Third Friday

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar recorded collections similar to Thursday and this is what the film really required. It collected Rs 1.80 crore nett on its 17th day and this takes the total collections of the film to over Rs 108 crores. The steady collections on Friday ensure a good growth in the numbers this weekend, pushing the film closer to the Rs 125 crore nett India figure. The box office performance of the film can be termed as reasonably good. It is currently the second highest grossing Indian film this year.

The Day Wise Box Office Collections Of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar Are As Follows:

    Extended 2 Weeks – Rs 106.50 cr

    3rd Friday – Rs 1.80 cr

    Total – Rs 108.30 crores

Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway Sees Growth In Collections On Second Friday

Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway saw a 10 percent growth on Friday vis-à-vis Thursday. The film collected around Rs. 90 lakhs on day 8 and it ensures that the film will have a nice second weekend, just around 40 percent lower than the first weekend. The steady nature of the film’s collections guarantee that the film will cross Rs 20 crores nett in its full run. Coupled with a solid international performance, the makers will get a net theatrical share of around or over Rs 15 crores. For a film that has recovered its costs from non-theatricals alone, it’s a very pleasant result. From a box office perspective, the numbers are still just about fair, but you take that when similar looking films don’t even survive through the first weekend.

The Day Wise Box Office Collections Of Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway Are As Follows:

    Week 1 – Rs 10.15 cr

    2nd Friday – Rs 90 lakh

    Total – Rs 11.05 crores

Bheed had an unmentionably low opening day number.

You can watch all these films at a theatre near you.
