A class action lawsuit against Madonna for starting a concert two hours late has been dropped.
On Wednesday, June 19, People reported that the suit by Michael Fellows and Jason Alvarez was permanently dismissed and canât be refiled.Â
The concertgoers sued the 65-year-old pop star after attending the December 13, 2023, stop on her Celebration Tour at Barclays Center in New York City. They stated that the show was advertised to begin at 8:30 p.m., but they did not see her take the stage until âbetween 10:45 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.â They accused Madonna, promoter Live Nation and the venue of âunconscionable, unfair and/or deceptive trade practicesâ by listing 8:30 p.m. as the start time.
As a result of the Queen of Popâs tardiness, they claimed that they were âleft stranded in the middle of the nightâ with limited public transportation options and increased prices for ride-share services. (Barclays Center is located next to the New York subway systemâs Atlantic Avenue/Barclays Center Station, which serves nine subway lines 24 hours a day, though trains are less frequent late at night.)
Since releasing her debut album in 1983, Madonna has rarely been out of the public eye â and sheâs never stopped delivering floor-filling pop hits. Jeff Warshafsky, a lawyer for Madonna and Live Nation, wrote in a June 19 letter (via People) that the lawsuitâs dismissal âwas not the result of any settlementâ between the plaintiffs and the defendants.Â
âDefendants believe that this action was a frivolous strike suit designed to force them to incur legal expenses,â Warshafsky said. âPlaintiffs have now abandoned this lawsuit when it became clear that this approach would not result in a settlement payment and that they would need to oppose defendantsâ motion to dismiss the Amended Complaint.â
In April, Madonnaâs lawyers filed a motion to dismiss the case, writing, âPlaintiffs speculate that ticketholders who left the venue after 1 a.m. might have had trouble getting a ride home or might have needed to wake up early the next day for work. That is not a cognizable injury.â
They also said that no âreasonable concertgoerâ would expect the headlining act to begin their set at the exact time advertised on their ticket.

In late May, Madonna was hit with another lawsuit over her Celebration Tour. Concertgoer Justen Lipeles alleged that he and the audience at her May 7 show in Los Angeles were subjected to âpornography without warning,â including âtopless women on stage simulating sex acts.â He also claimed that the âLike a Virginâ legend had the air conditioning turned off during the performance, causing him to fall ill in the sweltering heat.Â
Madonna, whose stage persona has long embraced erotic imagery, has not made a public statement on Lipelesâ complaint.
The reality star, 45, took to social media on Sunday, June 16, to pay tribute to her husband in celebration of Fatherâs Day.
Sharing a series of photos that capture Barker, 48, playing with and caring for the pairâs seven-month-old son, Rocky, Kourtney wrote of her husbandâs protective nature.

In addition to a trip to Scotland, LOCASH will be traveling to join Kane Brown for a handful of his âIn The Airâ tour dates. âItâs gonna be a great tour. We did the arenas with him last year, and then he moved us up to the stadiums this year, Preston teased. âSo, itâs our first time playing stadiums and weâre pretty pumped up about that.â
Lucas added: âStadiumâs gonna be a little different. And theyâre all baseball stadiums too, and [weâre] huge baseball fans. So, weâre playing Fenway [Park], which is awesome, and Arlington [Texas], Coors [Field].â
Snoop Dogg and Earl âE-40â Stephens are skilled not only in the recording studio, but also in the kitchen.
The rappers teamed up to create a delicious take on a classic meatloaf recipe, which they exclusively shared in the latest issue of Us Weekly. âWe put our own creative spin on it, stuffed with mozzarella and other special ingredients,â E-40, 56, tells Us of the versatile dish.
âYou can eat it with rice, potatoes, vegetables macaroni and cheese or make a sandwich out of it,â he adds. âAnd itâs absolutely delicious along with a glass of Earl Stevens Selectionsâ Function Red Blend wine, owned by yours truly.â
Comprised of typical meatloaf ingredients, including bread crumbs, onion, salt and pepper, the pairâs version swaps traditional ground beef for ground turkey and turkey sausage, as well as red bell pepper, jalepeĂąos and, as the recipeâs name suggests, mozzarella cheese. The recipe is one of many tasty dishes featured in Snoop, 52, and E-40âs cookbook, Snoop Dogg Presents Goon with a Spoon, which hit bookshelves in November 2023. The bookâs title is a nod to E-40âs food brand of the same name, which he launched in 2021. The companyâs products include burritos, sausages and several flavors of ice cream.
The cookbook also served as a follow-up to Snoopâs 2018 debut cookbook, From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Doggâs Kitchen. Included in the book is a recipe inspired by his 1993 hit track âGin and Juice.â
Snoopâs dive into the culinary world is partially thanks to his friendship with Martha Stewart, with whom he hosted the cooking show Martha & Snoopâs Potluck Party Challenge from 2016 to 2020. The VH1 series saw the duo team up with celebrity guests to compete for the prized Potluck Party Platter.

Mozzarella-Stuffed Turkey Meatloaf with BBQ Sauce
Serves 4, with leftovers
Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey
1 Ib uncased turkey sausage
2 eggs, beaten
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 medium white onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 jalapeĂąo, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp salt
½ tsp cracked black pepper
2 cups shredded mozzarella
2 cups barbecue sauce, plus more for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.
2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, turkey sausage, eggs, bread crumbs, onion, pepper, jalapeĂąo, garlic, salt and pepper. Combine the mixture well with your hands. Divide the mixture in half.
Friends come in all shapes and sizes â but we were surprised to learn of these celeb friendships. Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg first connected in 2008 when Snoop appeared on Stewartâs show Martha. 3. Transfer one half of the mixture to the prepared baking sheet. Form into a 10-inch disc about 2 inches thick. Pile the shredded mozzarella on top of the disc, spreading it to the edges.

4. Form the remaining turkey into a ball, then flatten it into a disc. Place the disc on top of the mozzarella and pat it so it covers the bottom round of meat. Pour the barbecue sauce on top, spreading it to the edges and over the sides.
5. Bake 1 to 1½ hours, until cooked through or it measures 160 degrees on a meat thermometer inserted at the thickest part of the loaf. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing to serve, passing around additional sauce, if desired.

There wasnât a dry eye in Austinâs Moody Center as Lainey Wilson and more country superstars paid tribute to the late Toby Keithtwo months after his death at the CMT Music Awards.
Wilson, 31, was joined by Brooks & Dunn, Sammy Hagar and Lukas Nelson on Sunday, April 7. Former MLB player Roger Clemens exclusively told Us Weekly that he was looking forward to remember Keith. âHopefully, I donât get too emotional,â he told Us on the red carpet. âWe miss him dearly and just an honor to be asked to come and present one of his songs, so Iâm looking forward to it.â
He added that he wanted to recognize the family and âstay upbeatâ throughout the night. âToby did leave us with some great songs. I mean, you know what Iâm saying? A lot of great ones, and theyâre fun to sing too,â Clemens, 61, said. âSometimes I can sing âem pretty good and thereâs other ones I canât sing very well, but I give it my best.â
The retired athlete took the stage to introduce the tribute first. âItâs an honor to be here and celebrate Big Dog Daddy Toby Keith, a true friend, patriot and great American. Toby was in Houston, off and on for three years while he was battling that damn C-word. Through it all, he always kept his humor and his wit,â Clemens shared during the show.

Hagar continued, âWe had this routine. Iâd go down early and Iâd Iâd be on stage with the band and Iâd see this big commotion going on at the front door and I would look up and big dog daddy and his posse walking through the door and I would turn to the band and I would say.â

Then, Hagar launched into Keithâs song âI Love This Barâ and revealed his shirt said âForever a Sooner.â
Following Hagar, songwriters Lukas Nelson and Riley Green came out to pay their respects. âToby was not a shy guy. He had a big personality,â Nelson said. âI met him when I was younger, when he was working on Beer for my horsesâ with dad. I got lucky I got the opportunity to watch his artistry in person.â
Green added, âThat guy could come up with a hook like no other and sang the hell out of every song that he wrote somehow while making it look easy.â
They introduced Lainey Wilson, who covered Keithâs âHow Do Ya Like Me Now?â Finally, Clemens returned to the stage to end with the tribute with a shout-out to the family and a toast.

âLast fall I was diagnosed with stomach cancer,â the âRed Solo Cupâ singer wrote via Instagram in June 2022. âIâve spent the last 6 months receiving chemo, radiation and surgery. So far, so good. I need time to breathe, recover and relax.â
He continued at the time, âI am looking forward to spending this time with my family. But I will see the fans sooner than later. I canât wait.â

Taylor Swift was one of several celebrities who didnât take Jennifer Lopez up on her offer to make a cameo in her documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told.
In the doc, which dropped earlier this month, it was revealed that Swift, 34, Jason Momoa, Jennifer Coolidge, Lizzo, Vanessa Hudgens, Ariana Grande, Snoop Dogg and KhloĂŠ Kardashian were unavailable for cameos in the project. (Lopez, 54, said she also wanted Bad Bunny to make an appearance, but it was unclear whether he was asked.)
While it wasnât confirmed why any of the A-list stars didnât appear, Swift is currently booked and busy on her worldwide Eras Tour. The two women have a friendly history, as Lopez appeared as a surprise guest at Swiftâs Los Angeles Red Tour stop in 2013, where they performed her hit single âJenny From the Block.â
