Megan Thee Stallion has joined the cast of Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway. For eight weeks beginning in March, she’ll take on the mononymic role of Zidler—changed from Harold Zidler—the proprietor of the Moulin Rouge cabaret and the show’s de facto narrator.
A statement obtained by The New York Times says that “a hint” of Megan Thee Stallion’s music will be added to Moulin Rouge!’s jukebox score, which spans 70 songs by the likes of Rolling Stones, Outkast, and Britney Spears. Boy George and Bob the Drag Queen have both previously played Howard Zidler on Broadway.
In 2024, Megan Thee Stallion put out her album Megan and its deluxe version, Megan: Act II. She dropped the one-off singles “Whenever” and “Lover Girl” last year.
Three-time Grammy winner Megan Thee Stallion will make her Broadway debut as the impresario Zidler in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, producers announced today.
She’ll begin a strictly limited eight-week engagement at the Al Hirshfeld Theatre on Tuesday, March 24, finishing up on Sunday, May 17.
Megan Thee Stallion will be the first female-identifying performer to play the role.
“Stepping onto the Broadway stage and joining the Moulin Rouge! The Musical team is an absolute honor,” Megan Thee Stallion said in a statement. “I’ve always believed in pushing myself creatively and theater is definitely a new opportunity that I’m excited to embrace. Broadway demands a different level of discipline, preparation and storytelling, but I’m up for the challenge and can’t wait for the Hotties to see a new side of me.”
Said producer Carmen Pavlovic, “Welcoming Megan Thee Stallion into the Moulin Rouge! The Musical community is a thrilling moment for us.” said Producer Carmen Pavlovic. “Megan is a true global superstar. She is one of the most influential artists of her generation and her impact on music and culture is undeniable. This historic casting is a major part of our closing celebrations: our farewell gift to Broadway audiences and one of our biggest announcements in the history of Moulin Rouge! The Musical. We want our show to go out with a spectacular bang, and Megan is the force of nature to lead us there. And yes, there will be a hint of music from her own iconic catalogue. It’s an unmissable moment for both Megan’s fans and ours.”
For weeks, fans have been buzzing about Klay Thompson and his bae Megan Thee Stallion. Now, the spotlight turns to someone whose opinion carries serious weight: Klay’s dad, Mychal Thompson. One thing is clear — when it comes to the rapper, this family patriarch has firmly made up his mind.
Cameras caught up with Mychal Thompson, father of two-time NBA champion Klay Thompson, and he couldn’t stop raving about Megan Thee Stallion — calling her a “very nice lady” and giving her cooking skills a glowing seal of approval. When asked about her signature dish, Mychal didn’t hesitate: her barbecue baked beans are, in his words, “the best I ever had in my life.” So, he is clearly serious about her kitchen game and even said, “Nobody could ever cook as good as my mother, but man, Megan is a chef,” he added.
Of course, fans immediately wondered if this parental praise could foreshadow a proposal. When asked whether Klay might put a ring on it, the elder Thompson diplomatically said, “I don’t know, it’s up to them, gotta ask them that.” Still, it seems clear he’s fully on board, calling Megan a “very lovely lady” and making it official that she’s already got family approval — and maybe a future spot in the Thompson cookbook.
On Saturday, Megan Thee Stallion took to social media to share a super cute video of her cooking for her basketball bae and his dad. In the clip, Meg is cheffin’ it up in black PJs, a headband, and a full beat, keeping it cozy but still camera-ready. She explains that Mychal was in town while Klay’s Dallas Mavericks were playing the LA Lakers, and since she was caught off guard by the visit, she wanted to show some serious Southern hospitality—cooking up chicken thighs, her famous baked beans, potato salad, and cornbread.
Klay even makes a cameo, giving Megan some love, before Mychal tries her boudin for the first time and showers her with praise, even joking that she should “retire” and open a cooking school. At one point, Mychal can be heard joking, “You gone be fat when y’all get married!” And, of course, the comment section had thoughts on that “retire” line—because sirrrr… fans were NOT here for it.
Everyone’s Upset They Didn’t Get A Plate Too
Fans absolutely booked it to Megan Thee Stallion’s TikTok comment section, and they went IN! Even the King’s Hawaiian rolls team was peeping her recipes, while some fans were begging to know when she’s cooking for them next. Meanwhile, everyone else was just over here clocking how Klay and his dad straight-up tore those plates UP!
One TikTok user @KING’SHAWAIIAN commented, “A MASTERPIECE“
This TikTok user @faithhdump_acc shared, “‘Megan, you need to retire.’ ouu hold on now Mr. Thompson we still need albums n tours now“
And, TikTok user @Mycrossroad wrote, “‘Dang baby you just going up the street let me cook.’ 😂😂🥰🥰”
Meanwhile, TikTok user @K added, “Klay sitting there so polite waiting for his plate lol“
While TikTok user @VenusTheeHottie joked, “Come cook for me too Queen pleaseeee 😭😭😭😭”
Finally, TikTok user @ishmelle said, “Ok Megan Thee Chef!!!“

2025 was another hilariously messy mishmash of mayhem that peaked with Kendrick giving Drake one final WOP WOP WOPPING during his legendary performance at the Super Bowl.
In one of the buzziest Super Bowl shows ever, the Compton rapper diabolically demolished what’s left of Drake during his world-stopping performance at Super Bowl LIX.
Megan Thee Stallion was busy this Thanksgiving as she stepped into the kitchen to make a feast for her man, Klay, and the Thompson family.
Thee Hot Girl Chef jumped in the kitchen and threw down, making all of the must-have Turkey Day staples in portions large enough to feed Klay’s family full of professional athletes. Taking on such a major holiday had our girl admittedly stressed as she wanted to impress the Thompsons.
“I was really nervous because I was like ‘dang I’m really finna cook for my man and his whole family and I hope they like it because I really gotta show them that I really love they son,” she said in her reel.
Though Meg had already told her fans that Klay’s dad and Lakers legend, Mychal Thompson, loved her cooking so much that he felt she could own a restaurant, he took it a step further by singing her praises during the local Los Angeles broadcast of the Lakers and Mavericks game.
While Meg and Klay‘s mom, Julie, sat courtside to take in the game, Mr. Thompson was busy talking about Thee Hot Girl’s culinary skills.
“Thanksgiving dinner was the best Thanksgiving food I’ve ever eaten,” Mychal said during the live broadcast. “Megan Thee Stallion should be Megan Thee Chef. It was unbelievable. She went out of her way to make sure everyone was fed. We had to take so many bags home there was so much food. It was one of the best Thanksgivings we ever had, thanks to Megan.”
The NBA champion is a man of few words but he’s been vocal about his adoration for his son’s superstar girlfriend. Soon after Klay and Meg went public, Mr. Thompson chatted about her during a broadcast, playfully saying that he referred to her as “Megan Thee Filly” due to that being the proper term for a young female horse. He clearly is not above a good dad joke.
Meg is clearly in good with the Thompsons as she also made sure to let everyone know that the biggest stamp of approval came from Klay’s mom, who she affectionately calls “Miss Julie.”
“Miss Julie was the star of the show,” Meg said during a courtside interview. “Miss Julie is the hostess with the mostest. Mr. Thompson definitely said that I can own my own restaurant, I’m glad that I got the stamp of approval from the father but the mother! Miss Julie was my number one stamp of approval.”
The Thompsons have been a relatively low-key family over the years but since Meg’s arrival they’ve all seemed to come out of their shell a bit, especially Klay. Meg and “Miss Julie” have been kiki-ing at Mavericks games since the start of the season and we all remember the Wag Wig fiasco that had the internet talking for days.
The internet is already speculating that the Thompsons are making room for Meg in their family and since she posted a photo of what many suspected was a home she shares with Klay, we’ll be checking our mailboxes for the wedding invite. Save the date? Say less!
Nicki Minaj’s diss track “Big Foot” did not get a full listen from Megan thee Stallion. During Megan’s testimony for her defamation trial against blogger Milagro Cooper, Cooper’s lawyer Jeremy McLymont asked the rapper about the song, to which Megan admitted that she had not listened to the entire thing, per court reporter Meghann Cuniff. “It was just so silly in the beginning. I couldn’t get through it,” Megan shared. “I just feel like it wasn’t something I wanted to keep listening to.” Minaj’s “Big Foot” diss track was a response to Megan’s song “Hiss,” in which she called out people who were talking about her shooting in their music and referenced Megan’s Law, seemingly to nod to Minaj’s husband’s legal issues. “So you have the ability to turn things off that you don’t want to listen to?” McLymont asked as a follow-up. “As it pertains to Nicki Minaj, yes,” Megan replied.
It wasn’t the only song referenced in the testimony on November 24. Megan was then asked about Drake’s song, “Circo Loco,” more specifically about the line: “This bitch lie ‘bout gettin’ shots, but she still a stallion.” At the time, it was speculated that the line was about her as she seemingly replied to the track online, but in court, she refuted the reference. “If he was talking about me he could’ve been more direct, because I don’t have butt shots,” Megan stated.
It is expected that there will be closing arguments for the trial on Tuesday, November 25. Megan thee Stallion, legal name Megan Pete, sued Milagro Cooper last year for defamation, accusing her of working with Tory Lanez on discrediting her during his own trial with Pete where he was convicted of shooting her in the foot.
Megan Thee Stallion broke down in tears about suicide while testifying about blogger Milagro Gramz’s alleged harassment and spread of deepfake porn. The rapper’s lawyers claim an alleged affair with Tory Lanez’s father was also Milagro’s motive for campaigning against Megan online.

More than five years passed since Megan Thee Stallion’s (Megan Pete’s) shooting, but she revealed the ordeal left wounds more than skin-deep. As BOSSIP previously reported, Megan sued Tory Lanez (Daystar Peterson) and his “paid surrogate” Milagro Gramz (Milagro Cooper) for a years-long campaign to “denigrate, belittle, insult, and spread false statements about Ms. Pete on her online social media platforms, for no other reason than to bully, harass and punish Ms. Pete for Mr. Peterson’s conviction and to tarnish her reputation, causing emotional distress.”
Megan Thee Stallion Takes The Stand With Tearful Testimony About Wanting To Kill Herself After Deepfake Porn Circulated
The Grammy winner broke down in tears that she “wanted to die” after Gramz allegedly directed her millions of followers to view the A.I.-generated sex tape using Megan’s likeness in 2024. Legal Affairsand Trials with Meghann Cuniff reports the jury viewed the computer-generated clip in court on Monday.
When Megan’s former manager T-Farris (Travis Farris) told her about it circulating online, she struggled with suicidal ideation and not “feeling like existing anymore.”
“I don’t want to be here. I’m tired of waking up. I didn’t care what happened. I just wanted to tie. I was so tired of being alive,” she said.
Megan revealed that she fought thoughts of self-harm because she believed that’s what Tory and Milagro wanted:
“So I can’t kill myself because I don’t want to give them what they’re looking for.” She continued, “I feel like … to this day, I feel a little, like, defeated. Because no matter what, no matter if the video was fake or not … [Gramz] wanted it to be real.”
The mental health advocate also hoped her strength could empower “another woman out there going through that.” She added, “All the things that I went through and I’m still going through hopefully can inspire other women to want to tell their truth.”
See how Megan Thee Stallion’s emotional distress led to $240,000 worth of therapy and why her lawyers speculate a romance between Milagro Gramz and Tory Lanez father after the flip.
Megan Thee Stallion Suffered PTSD, Required $240K Worth Of Therapy Over Deepfake
Megan testified that the jury’s review of the explicit A.I.-generated video was still “really embarrassing to have to look at a bunch of people you don’t know see you in a position like that,” she said. “Like, I know it’s not me, but being in front of everybody else, and they have to watch it … it’s really embarrassing.”
According to TMZ, T-Farris took the stand to testify that Megan’s recovery from the deepfake cost $240,000 for a month of intensive therapy for emotional distress. She apologized that her friend had to witness the footage even though it wasn’t real.
The expensive treatments took place at a medical facility for Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which helps teaches how to store trauma in the brain. Dr. Lenore Walker later testified about diagnosing Megan with PTSD.
In addition to false images of the star going viral, Megan battled “false narratives” like a rumors that she slept with T-Farris. Milagro repeatedly called Megan a liar about the shooting and her relationship with Tory, which she admitted during the shooting trial was sexual at one time.
TMZreports Megan’s legal team speculated about a “romantic relationship between Tory’ dramatic daddy and Milagro based on “alleged text messages in which Sonstar gave Milagro direct instructions how to get into the security gate of his Tarzana home” and an exchange of “love you” messages.
It’s been more than a year since Megan Thee Stallion filed a defamation lawsuit against Milagro Gramz (real name Cooper). The case has been inching towards a trial for several months, and this week, it kicked off with jury selection in Miami. Megan has accused the blogger of being part of a “coordinated campaign” to tarnish her reputation — allegedly with the financial backing of Tory Lanez. He has been named in the lawsuit and deposed at least three times. But on the last jailhouse chat, the incarcerated rapper reportedly refused to answer questions. In response, a judge reportedly held him in contempt and fined him a double stack!
What Happened During The Deposition Of Tory Lanez?
According to Rolling Stone, Judge Lisette M. Reid filed her decision on Sunday (November 16) following his third jailhouse deposition. The third questioning took place last Friday. Tory Lanez reportedly began by asking what the consequences would be for declining the questions. Learning of a possible fine and being held in contempt didn’t deter him.
“Whatever the fines are, I’ll pay them,” Tory Lanez reportedly said. “I’m a millionaire. I don’t care.”
Judge Reid wrote in her filing about Tory’s alleged behavior. She said Tory “stormed out of the room” at one point, and directed comments like “liar” and “calm down” at Megan’s lawyer. Additionally, he refused to answer questions about how he met or learned about Milagro Gramz. He also declined to say whether he was involved in any contact with the blogger via text or Instagram. The judge said Megan’s legal asked the questions “properly” but Lanez still “refused to answer and ultimately terminated the deposition without answering any questions.”
Daystar Peterson (the rapper’s legal name) now owes Megan Thee Stallion’s lawyers $20,000. The fine is for “his obstruction of Plaintiff’s multiple attempts to depose him,” the judge said in her filing. Tory Lanez’s lawyer, Crystal Morgan, also took an L. Rolling Stone reports that the judge also fined her. He has not publicly commented on the ruling.
What’s The Latest On Megan Thee Stallion’s Case Against Milagro Gramz?
The new ruling was the talk of the internet as Milagro Gramz’s trial finally kicked off on Monday.
MORE DETAILS TO COME.
Judge Recently Ruled Against Overturning Tory’s Conviction
This is week two of Tory Lanez’s facing legal setbacks involving Megan Thee Stallion. A California court last Wednesday denied the rapper’s appeal of his guilty verdict from the 2020 shooting of Meg. A three-judge panel from the California 2nd District Court of Appeal issued a ruling saying they affirm the triple-charge conviction. Lanez was convicted of three felonies in December of 2022: assault with a semiautomatic firearm; having a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
Halloween took over daytime TV this year as America’s favorite morning time talk show hosts went all out to celebrate the spooky season. From Jennifer Hudson’s disco-inspired transformation to Sherri Shepherd’s four costume changes and Tamron Hall’s hilarious tribute to reality dating shows, each star brought their own unique twist to October 31.

Jennifer Hudsontook a time travel machine back to the 70s during The Jennifer Hudson Show’s annual Halloween special, which aired on Oct. 31. Keeping with tradition, the EGOT winner, 44, transformed into a 70s diva for this year’s soulful celebration, complete with original Soul Train dancers, a guest appearance from Megan Thee Stallion, and a groovy dance portal Spirit Tunnel.
Hudson’s dazzling costume was incredible: a glittering lilac metallic trench coat with hot pink feathers, bold earrings, stunning makeup, completed with voluminous hair. Underneath the coat, she rocked a glistening silver suit, paired with a crystal embroidered top. Her crew also embraced the theme with vintage-inspired bell-bottoms and bright retro flair.
Adding to the fun, Megan Thee Stallion, 30, stopped by the show to talk about all things “Hottieween.” The Grammy-winning rapper stunned in a cheetah-print dress and matching choker, bringing fierce festive energy to the stage. She and Hudson chatted about her latest track “Lover Girl,” her journey into a love-filled era, her bond with Queen Latifah — including a memorable Coachella moment — and her dream of stepping into acting.
Megan also gave fans a glimpse of her tequila brand, Chicas Divertidas, which will hit shelves soon.

Over on SHERRI, host Sherri Shepherdmade not one but four costume changes for her Halloween takeover episode. She opened the show as Morticia Addams, inspired by Catherine Zeta-Jones’ portrayal of Wednesday. Created with seamstress Ana Toval, the gown featured five yards of black stretch velvet, hand-beaded lace trim, and a semi–sweetheart neckline. Sherri completed the look with a 40-inch jet-black wig, pale complexion, and dark, dramatic makeup—embodying Morticia flawlessly.
Next, she channeled Steve Urkel from Family Matters, complete with vintage ’90s Lee jeans, striped polo, and suspenders, while joined by Reginald Vel Johnson and Jo Marie Payton, who portrayed The Winslows on the hit ‘90s sitcom.

Finally, she ended the show in complete vintage fantasy as Jeannie from the 1965 show I Dream of Jeannie, wearing a custom Todd Fisher New York design: a velvet vest, pink chiffon pants, and a pleated bra top, paired with color-matched Sergio Rossi heels and a perfectly sculpted high bun.

Tamron Hall paid homage to some of America’s iconic dating shows.
Tamron Hall, meanwhile, declared that “nothing is scarier than a first date.” The two-time Emmy winner leaned into that theme by parodying iconic dating shows from across the decades, and dressing up as their male hosts.
In The Tamron Hall Show’s Oct. 31 episode, she spoofed The Dating Game, Love Connection, and Flavor of Love with an array of fake facial hair and nostalgic flair.
“I didn’t know facial hair was so problematic. Believe it or not, it was easier being a pregnant Cardi B,” Hall joked to PEOPLE. “We were ripping mustaches and goatees off! It took me back to my waxing days!”
As “Reggie Romance” from The Spooky Dating Game, Hall sported a bouncy afro and ’70s flower power vibes. Then, as “Lenny Lovebird” from Love Potion Connection, she embodied 1983 in a pumpkin-colored suit and thick mustache, channeling Love Connection’s iconic host Chuck Woolery.
Later, she faced off against musical guest Kwamé Holland, who appeared as himself opposite Hall dressed as his ’90s alter ego. And for her grand finale, “T-Flav” of Flavor of Fright, Hall donned Flavor Flav’s signature clock and hosted a cake-decorating contest, joined by none other than reality TV icon Tiffany Pollard, who famously appeared on Flavor of Love in the early 2000s.
This Halloween, these powerhouse hosts proved that no one brings creativity, humor, and star power to a spooky season quite like daytime TV’s leading ladies.

Megan Thee Stallion is standing ten toes down in her defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz, and she just won a major sanction in their case.
The two will face off in a Houston court via trial, but in the meantime, Meg’s team won a sanction against Milagro after claiming she “deleted thousands of text messages” despite being told not to. Meg was granted an “adverse inference jury instruction” as well as “monetary” sanctions against Milagro—whose full name is Milagro Elizabeth Cooper—for what the court is calling “spoliation of evidence.” According to the legal documents, Cooper was instructed not to delete any correspondence about Meg, but she did so anyway.
Meg’s team said “not so fast” once Milagro was unable to turn over the evidence and requested that the judge make it permissible in court to let the jury know that she attempted to hide things that could have harmed her defense. She is also now responsible for giving Meg back her coins for having to bring the issue up to the court though they have not agreed on what the compensation will be just yet, according to Hot 97. Either way, Milagro is digging herself quite the hole ahead of the trial.
She was already ordered to pay $5,000 towards Meg’s lawyer fees back in July for tampering with evidence, and she’s also accused of circulating a deep fake pornographic image of the “Cobra” artist, which is now considered a federal crime. The entire case stems from Milagro’s commitment to allegedly disseminating falsified information in support of Tory Lanez.
Meg claims that the blogger participated in fueling a smear campaign against her alongside the imprisoned singer’s father, Sonstar Peterson, that contributed to immeasurable harassment in the years after her shooting. Allegedly, the fake porn video was the final straw on the stallion’s back that led her to march Milagro into court.
Former United States Vice President Kamala Harris on stage at the Tabernacle on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025. Photo by Donnell Suggs/The Atlanta Voice
Former United States Vice President Kamala Harris was back in Atlanta on Wednesday night. Harris, who also served as the former Attorney General of California and United States Senator, was on her tour for her latest book, “107 Days.” The book is a diary-like rehashing of her historical presidential run that ended with a loss to the current President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.
The line outside the Tabernacle was reminiscent of the lines outside the many arenas, stadiums, and event spaces in Georgia that Harris spoke at during her campaign. The line stretched down Luckie Street and around the corner. It was clear that Harris remained popular in Atlanta.
Upon taking the stage, Harris, in one of her signature looks, a pant suit, said, “It’s good to be back in the ATL.”
The evening’s moderator was social media influencer and Spelman College alumna, Lynae Vanee.
There was a long line outside the Tabernacle hours before the ‘107 Days’ book tour event was scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025. Photo by Donnell Suggs/The Atlanta Voice
Harris’s 107-day campaign was self-described as “American history.” By the looks and sounds of the capacity crowd in attendance, it has left an indelible mark on Georgians. Between applause and laughter from the crowd, Harris retold stories from her book and acknowledged that she had her toughest day at the end of the campaign on Election Day.
“It took a lot of time for me to think, reflect, and feel,” said Harris of her new post-election reality. “Writing this book was part of what helped me do that.”
On more than one occasion, Trump was mentioned by name and in jest. On one more serious note, Harris said of the current administration’s actions towards immigrants, for example, “I predicted all of this.”
That comment was followed by loud applause.
“When this is over, meaning his presidency, there will be a lot of debris,” she added.
Photo by Donnell Suggs/The Atlanta Voice
During the conversation, Harris discussed portions of the book, including the pages in which she invited Megan Thee Stallion to perform at a campaign event at the Georgia State University Convocation Center. Harris got pushback from people who supported her and Megan, but thought the rapper wasn’t a good look, Harris recalled.
“I did ask her to come, and I was happy to have her because she is very talented,” said Harris of the Houston-born rapper. “It wasn’t traditional, and it didn’t comport with what people thought was the norm.”
Nothing about Harris’s campaign was normal, and she would have Hip-Hop performers, actors, actresses, and the like make appearances on her campaign throughout the 107 days. Many of these moments are in her book. Other moments described in “107 Days” include former running mate and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, the vetting of a potential running mate, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, her relationship with her family, and her relationship with other people in the White House.
With 91 days till Election Day, Harris shared the sights and sounds of the first time she and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, took the stage in Philadelphia. “The roar that met us when we walked out onstage was so deafening we could barely hear ourselves,” Harris recalled (page 100).
In the book, Harris also reveals behind-the-scenes moments from the campaign and her relationship with former United States President Joseph R. Biden, her running mate and friend. One revelation that will get readers’ attention is the lack of support for her campaign by members of Biden’s camp (pages 40-41), and her suspicion that former First Lady Jill Biden hadn’t gotten over some of the barbs Harris and Biden exchanged during the 2019 presidential primary (page 39).
The former vice president was reflective during her time on stage.
“During the 107 days I did not allow myself, nor was there any room for reflection,” Harris said of the whirlwind that was her life last year.
Harris also added that losing that election brought on emotions that she hadn’t felt since she lost her mother.
“I was grieving for our country, because I knew what was going to happen,” she said.
There was no grieving this evening, however. Harris was showered with applause from the start to the finish of her time on stage.
“This is true talk right here,” she said. “It may get worse before it gets better. But we cannot afford to put the blanket over our head and say, ‘Wake me up when it’s over.’ If we give up, then all is lost. We cannot let our spirits be defeated by one election.”

Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion‘s defamation case against Milagro Gramz is making progress, with a new deposition scheduled to take place in a Houston court. This latest development in the defamation case is set to zero in on allegations of evidence tampering and uncooperative behavior.

For those who’ve been following the legal drama, Megan Thee Stallion’s defamation case against Milagro Gramz is part of a broader legal push by the Houston femcee to hold bloggers and online personalities accountable for spreading misinformation. The lawsuit, filed after Tory Lanez was convicted of shooting Meg, alleges that Gramz was paid thousands of dollars to speak negatively about Megan during her coverage of the case. In a not-so-surprising twist, the person allegedly giving her those payments was none other than Tory Lanez’s father, Sonstar Peterson.
The upcoming deposition is set to be exactly two hours and was approved by a federal magistrate judge in the Southern District of Florida. According to AllHipHop, a deposition date is yet to be set. However, Megan’s legal representatives believe this is a necessary step to “question [Milagro’s] alleged tampering of evidence and communications with other important people in this case.”
This new deposition will focus on issues and evidence brought up during the first one on July 21st. A particularly key issue is the alleged conversations Milagro Gramz had with Tory Lanez‘s father. According to HotNewHipHop, in August, Megan’s lawyers accused Gramz of “deleting ‘thousands of messages’” with Sonstar Peterson. “Despite good faith attempts at conferral, Defendant has presented no well-reasoned explanation for the mass deletion of thousands of messages from her cell phone,” Megan’s lawyers said. The legal team also noted that Gramz failed to comply with a May 27th deadline to present digital records, such as metadata and texts.
This isn’t the first time Megan’s legal team has had to deal with uncooperative individuals. As BOSSIP reported, they previously dealt with a similar situation in Tory Lanez’s own deposition, which was described as “incredibly rude and disruptive.” Lanez reportedly interrupted Megan’s lawyers and insulted one of them by begging for her to comb her hair, but the behavior ultimately backfired in Meg’s favor. He was eventually ordered to cover Megan’s legal fees, with a magistrate judge now set to supervise his future testimonies.
Megan Thee Stallion’s defamation case against Milagro Gramz is a part of a larger mission to hold bloggers and social media personalities accountable for their actions. As she said in a previous statement, “It’s time to hold bloggers accountable for years of harassment, cyberbullying, and the publication of misinformation about my personal and professional life. I’ve endured countless attacks on my character based on false narratives from social media bloggers misrepresenting themselves as journalists. It’s unacceptable behavior and these individuals need to understand there will be repercussions for recklessly posting lies and defamatory falsehoods.”
The upcoming deposition in Houston, followed by the trial in November, is the latest chapter in this ongoing legal fight for justice and accountability.

Megan Thee Stallion is in the news after the release of her new Amazon Prime documentary Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words.
The powerful new documentary takes fans inside her rise to fame over the last few years as she was also navigating grief in her personal life. Her beloved mother died in 2019, and two weeks later her great-grandmother, who had also been a caregiver for Megan died.

Here is all we know about Megan’s relationship with the pair:
Megan – real name Megan Pete –was raised by her mom Holly in Houston, where Holly, known by her stage name Holly-Wood, was a rapper and took her daughter into the recording studio each day.
Holly encouraged Megan’s own talents, although insisted she did not pursue a career in the industry until she was 21.

“I knew I wanted to be a rapper when I was, like, 5. My mom was a rapper. I would go to the studio with her, and that definitely showed me I can do this, I wanna do this,” she told Essence in 2019.
Megan’s father was in prison during her childhood and died when she was 15.
Megan studied at Prairie View A&M University, but as her online rap battles went viral, she left to pursue her career; she later returned to school and graduated from Texas Southern University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in health administration.

In the documentary, Megan revealed that she was the one who had to make the decision to turn off her mother’s life support machine; Holly had been diagnosed with a brain tumor and was having “back-to-back seizures”.
She died at the age of 47. She was also Megan’s manager.

“They had to put her under. She was just brain dead. So I stayed up there every day. I was spending the night at the hospital. I just was praying that she could shake back from it,” the musician recalled.
“Once I realized she wasn’t coming back, I was just like, ‘Damn, I can’t keep her like this.’ Because I know she wouldn’t have wanted to stay like this. So I had to make the decision to pull the plug, and she just passed the next day.”
She announced the news on Instagram in a now-delete post which read: “The best mom in the whole world. The strongest woman on the planet. I can’t even put complete sentences together rn RIP mama.”

“My mom and (late great-grandmother) filled me with self-love and determination,” she said during her Glamour Women of the Year award speech in 2021. “Because of them, I never felt unworthy of my success and my womanhood. Because of them, I’ve learned to be competitive with myself and that other women don’t need to lose for me to win.”
In 2022, during an Apple Music conversation, she revealed how her mom and great-grandmother’s passing had not gotten any easier, and that it still hadn’t clicked that she didn’t have anyone to go to for advice.

“I didn’t even have to think about too many things when my mama was with me,” Megan told Nadeska and Ebro .
“I feel like it’s just recently that it’s clicking to me. ‘Who can I ask anything to?’ Because I still don’t want to put people in my business,” she explained.
“When I’m going through something personal, I’m like, ‘I just got to pray.’ Because I don’t even know who I can ask. Who can I ask about this situation? And who do I trust?”
Clearing the air. Megan Thee Stallion revealed the exact reason why she didn’t want to reveal to Gayle King about her sex life with Tory Lanez.
Megan Thee Stallion, real name Megan Pete, posted that she was shot in the foot on July 12, 2020, after Kylie Jenner’s pool party and that it required medical surgery. She then identified Tory Lanez as the shooter in an Instagram Live on August 20, 2020. After the Live, Megan received threats online and claims that she was lying about the incident. Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was later arrested on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle. He pleaded not guilty. Three years after the incident, Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the shooting.
In April 2022, Gayle King interviewed Megan Thee Stallion on CBS Morning about the incident and the ongoing trial. “What was the nature of your relationship with Tory Lanez, because he has led people to believe that it was a sexual relationship,” Gayle said. “That you two were dating? What was the nature?” Megan responded that they were “not dating” but were just “really close” friends who “hung out, like, every day.”
“Did you have an intimate relationship with him,” Gayle asked. Megan answered, “Like sexual? Um, I didn’t have a sexual relationship with Tory.” The rapper later clarified her remarks in court and said she and Tory Lanez had a “brief sexual relationship.”
Why did Megan Thee Stallion lie to Gayle King?
Megan Thee Stallion explained that she didn’t feel comfortable when Gayle asked the question in her documentary Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words. “Yes, bitch. I lied to Gayle King, bitch. First of all, I ain’t know that bitch was even finna ask me about that shit. I thought we was gonna talk about this shooting,” Megan said. “Why is you asking me about fucking Tory? That’s not what this is about. Even if I was…I fucked that n—a like once, maybe twice on a drunk night. You kept catching me out of my fucking mind.”
In an interview with Women’s Health, the “WAP” artist talked about how she felt dehumanized during the trial. “A lot of people didn’t treat me like I was human for a long time,” she told the publication. “I feel like everybody was always used to me being the fun and happy party girl. I watched people build me up, tear me down, and be confused about their expectations of me.”
Gayle King responded to Megan’s comments on her Instagram. She posted herself, “Hey, I’m just sitting here minding my own business. People are reaching out to me, saying, ‘Hey Gayle, Megan Thee Stallion just called you a bitch.’ I know you’re expecting me to…maybe you’re thinking I have something negative to say. I do not. I have nothing but great, great love and respect for Megan Thee Stallion.”
Good news: Megan Thee Stallion‘s net worth is a “savage” amount, and it just keeps on growing.
Megan, whose full name is Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, was raised in San Antonio, Teas, and started writing raps at the age of 16. When she told her mom, Holly Aleece Thomas, that she wanted to be a rapper, her mother told her that she had to wait until she was 21 to pursue a music career. While she was a student at Prairie View A&M University, Megan started uploading videos of herself freestyle rapping on her social media. After a video of her in a rap “cypher” against other male rappers went viral, Megan’s social media following started to explode. Around this time, she also chose the stage name Megan Thee Stallion, which was a reference to how she was called a “stallion” as a kid because of her height. (She’s 5’10”.)
Megan released her first single, “Like a Stallion,” in 2016, but it wasn’t until her 2019 tracks, “Cash Shit” with DaBaby, and “Hot Girl Summer” with Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla Sign, that her career started to take off into what it is now. In 2020, Megan achieved her first number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with her song “Savage,” which went viral on TikTok. In April 2020, Megan released a remix of savage with Beyoncé. The collaboration won Megan’s first Grammy in 2021 in the Best Rap Performance category. At the 2021 Grammys, Megan also won the coveted award for Best New Artist, becoming the first female rapper to take home the award since 1999.
Three years later, Megan was profiled in Prime Video‘s documentary, Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words, following her career and how her life changed after the death of her mother, Holly Thomas, to cancer in 2019. “I wouldn’t be the woman I am today without Holly Thomas,” she said at the premiere of the documentary in October 2024. “So mommy, I love you.”
With a whirlwind past couple years, it’s understandable why fans want to know about Megan Thee Stallion’s net worth and how much she made from songs like “Savage” and “Body.” Ahead is what we know about how much Megan Thee Stallion is worth.
Megan (Amazon Bonus Track Version)
What is Megan Thee Stallion’s net worth?
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Megan is worth $30 million, which includes the money she’s made from songs like “Hot Girl Summer,” “Savage,” “Body” and the sales from her 2020 debut album, Good News, her 2022 sophomore album Traumazine, and her 2024 third album Megan. In 2020, Megan was named one of Forbes 30 Under 30 musicians. After the release of Good News in November 2020, Megan’s debut album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 and sold 100,000 units in its first week, according to Nielsen.
What happened with Megan Thee Stallion’s lawsuit
However, Megan’s net worth isn’t without drama. In March 2020, Megan was embroiled in a lawsuit with her former record label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, which was founded y former Major League Baseball player Carl Crawford. Megan was signed by 1501 Certified Entertainment in 2018 and released her first LP, Fever, in May 2019. The release rose to number 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. In March 2020, she released another EP, Suga, which debuted at number 10 on the Billboard 200. In a lawsuit at the time, Megan claimed that Crawford and 1501 Certified Entertainment did nothing for her career and signed her to a “ridiculously unconscionable” contract, according to Forbes. The magazine reported that all 1501 Certified Entertainment did for Megan was pay her $10,000 advance, a relatively low figure in the rap industry, and took massive shares of her streaming, publishing, merchandising and live performance earnings.
In a statement to Variety at the time, Crawford denied that the contract was “unreasonable.” “In baseball, we have to honor our contracts. She said she signed a contract when she was 20; I signed a contract when I was 17. I understood everything about it. I knew I had to play five years to get another contract, and got another contract. She seemed to not understand the business of what’s going on. She doesn’t understand that when you do a contract, you have to honor the contract,” he said.
According to Forbes, Megan filed the lawsuit to challenge whether 1501 should be entitled to 60 percent of her streaming income, 25 percent of her music publishing income snd 30 percent of her live show income (which Forbes reports is more than $1,000 per show). The magazine also reports that Megan’s suit challenges whether she should be required to pay producer royalties and other costs out of her share. In April 2020, Megan scored a victory in her suit, according to Billboard.
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Houston rapper BeatKing, whose booming voice and eccentric songs brought him fame in nightclubs and on social media, has died, his manager said Friday. He was 39.
The rapper, whose name was Justin Riley, died Thursday after fainting during a recording session, Tasha Felder told The Associated Press. Felder, his manager, said Riley was taken to a hospital and that he had a pulmonary embolism.
“His daughters were with him the entire time,” Felder said. “It is truly sad, we loved him so much.”
BeatKing, whose club music anthems earned him the name Club Godzilla, achieved his biggest hit in 2020 when his song “Then Leave” went viral on social media and peaked at No. 3 on Billboard’s Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart. He also scored hits with the songs “Crush” and “Thick.” His final album, “Never Leave Houston on a Sunday,” was released last month.
He was known for humorous, raunchy lyrics and broke through the Houston music scene in 2010 with “Kings of the Club,” reaching Houston’s younger generation not as familiar with the city’s famous slowed music style from The Screwed Up Click and Swisha House.
As a rapper or producer, BeatKing collaborated with major artists including 2 Chainz, Bun B, T-Pain and Ludacris. Although BeatKing didn’t achieve the national prominence of fellow Houstonians such as Travis Scott and Megan Thee Stallion, he found fame throughout the South among fans who admired his sound and authenticity to Houston.
“My condolences @clubgozilla,” 2 Chainz wrote on social media. “God Bless your soul and family.”
“Just a great spirited person,” Bun B said in a tribute to the rapper on Instagram.
Fans on social media recalled BeatKing’s dominance over the club scene in the 2010s. He formed an image for himself by wearing black T-shirts with phrases such as “I unfollow back” and “Stop moving to Houston.”
He is survived by two daughters and his partner.
