Taylor Swift Wore the Trendy Non-Skinny Jeans Every Fashion Person Knows About

    [ad_1]

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably know Taylor Swift is currently traveling the country for her sold-out Eras Tour. But when she does manage to get a rare night off from her concert schedule, Swift’s destination of choice has lately seemed to be New York City. She was photographed going to dinner at Lure Fishbar in Soho last night, wearing a casual outfit that featured a pair of instantly recognizable (to me, at least) baggy jeans.

The jeans are Agolde’s Upsized Criss Cross Jeans, and they’ve been popular for so many seasons the brand has, at this point, released them in several different washes. Swift opted for a faded black pair, which she wore with a black bodysuit, saddle bag, and platform zip-front boots from The Row.

In addition to its Upsized Jeans, Agolde has released crisscross-style shorts, straight-leg jeans, leather pants, and denim miniskirts, further proving the popularity of the overlapping waistband trend. Scroll on to shop Swift’s exact jeans and other crisscross styles she’s likely to love.

Elle Fanning Wore the Pretty Shoes That Pair Perfectly With Anti-Skinny Jeans

    [ad_1]

As gorgeous as Elle Fanning looks when she’s dressed in lavish period garb on the set of The Great, her off-duty style is just as impressive. Classic and sophisticated, she and her stylist Samantha McMillen work in sync to make every outfit a timeless one, always adding a playful touch here or there to personalize the look.

Take her latest ensemble, for example, which she wore for an evening with friends at every celebrity’s favorite Los Angeles dinner spot—Craig’s in West Hollywood. For the occasion, she casually combined a black waistcoat and matching blazer with baggy, wide-leg jeans and the prettiest pair of point-toe black pumps that ever so slightly peek out underneath the bottom hemline. To top it off, she added a bamboo-handle Jil Sander handbag for that aforementioned bit of whimsy.

Below, see Fanning’s night-out look and shop non-skinny jeans and point-toe heels.

8 Non-Dated Skinny-Jeans Outfits That Are Making Me Rethink Everything

    [ad_1]

As I write this, it’s Friday afternoon, and I’m almost too tired to get into the skinny-jeans debate yet again, but I chose this topic, so here we go. If you need a crash course, Gen Z declared millennials’ beloved skinny jeans passé on TikTok, and the response was passionate, to say the least. As a millennial who doesn’t wear skinny jeans all that much, I think I’m a pretty neutral party who can offer some perspective on this topic.

I fully recognize and respect that many people in both generations simply don’t want to part with their skinny jeans. But the key to making them look cool and fresh lies in how you style them. I found eight non-dated outfit examples that make skinny jeans look every bit as cool as Gen Z–approved baggy jeans. Scroll to check them out for yourself and shop for the items (including skinny jeans) needed to re-create them.

The Best High-Waisted Jeans on the Internet, All In One Place

    [ad_1]

Mid-rise and even low-rise jeans might be popping up here and there on runways and in street style across the globe, but no matter who wears them or how much we consider giving these two trends a try, nothing beats a good old pair of high-waisted jeans. We spend hours and hours scouting for the right pair at vintage thrift stores and online shops, and once we find the right ones, there’s no looking back. Of course, the pair you adore might not work for all occasions or dress codes, and who doesn’t like to shake things up every once in a while? But nobody wants to start that stressful search all over.

  • Brooke Shields Just Wore the Easy-Chic Jeans Look That French Girls Love

Brooke Shields Just Wore the Easy-Chic Jeans Look That French Girls Love

    [ad_1]

It’s practically a fact that French girls do easy-chic style like no other sector of the population. As if by nature, they seem to put together outfits with little effort that time and time again look elevated and cool. And one of their favorite combos comes in the form of a blazer paired with jeans and ankle boots. Each piece is good on its own, yes. But together, they form an unbeatable outfit that will never get old.

Brooke Shields clearly sees the winning qualities of the trio because the actress and former model was just spotted wearing all three pieces during her press tour for the new Hulu documentary about her life, Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields. Specifically, Shields wore a black blazer with a graphic T-shirt underneath, mid-wash bootcut jeans, and pointed toe white boots for an appearance on the Howard Stern Show. She went on to accessorize with a red Goyard tote bag and a classic black belt.

Just like the French so often do, Shields made the combo look uncomplicated yet intentional. See her look and more below.

  • French Girls Always Wear This Jeans-and-Flats Outfit Formula

French Girls Always Wear This Jeans-and-Flats Outfit Formula

    [ad_1]

You don’t have to be a math genius to figure out how French women have perfected the outfit formula. When the goal is effortlessly chic, a staple of wardrobe basics can be mixed and matched to achieve a look that’s polished enough for any event, but also easy enough for every day.

Case in point? Michelle Williams, Montana native, and noted fashion aesthete was recently spotted in New York City wearing our favorite combination of straight-leg jeans, an oversize blazer, and Mary-Jane flats. The four-piece look, complete with a strawberry-red lip, was polished enough for her morning show appearance, while also perfectly practical for running around the city now that it’s officially springtime. Even better, you don’t need to have a Hollywood stylist to re-create this outfit at home. Just grab your favorite blazer, button-down, jeans, and flats. Roll up your sleeves, swipe on a bright lip, and you’re good to go. Easy enough, right? Oui!

If these basic outfit building blocks aren’t already in your wardrobe, then you’re in luck: we’ve pulled several pieces that can be combined to create the perfect jeans-and-flats outfit formula for anyone who wants to take French girl style for a spin—no passport to Paris necessary.

I Tried the Most Popular Jeans Trend of 2022—These 10 Are the Best-Fitting Pairs

    [ad_1]

The non–skinny jean trend has already been spotted all over the ‘gram on some of our favorite influencers and celebrities. • Everything You Should Know Before Buying Zara Jeans

Everything You Should Know Before Buying Zara Jeans

    [ad_1]

People might disagree with me (especially on TikTok, where edits are constantly made about this topic), but I’m obsessed with Zara‘s product imagery. From the styling to the varying locations and artistic framing, I can’t get enough of it, so much so that I end up buying (and then returning) a great deal of items that I probably wouldn’t have taken an interest in had I gone into a physical store. And of all the pieces I’ve ordered, the ones that most consistently trips me up are jeans

I have a love-hate relationship with Zara jeans. On one hand, the price-to-quality ratio is out of this world, specifically in the case of its non-stretch, 100% cotton offerings. On the other, I’ve been burned by its jeans with elastic that lose their color and shape too quickly, the varying lengths of its denim silhouettes, and confusing sizing. Since you can’t read reviews of the denim on its website, there’s no real way to know how a style will fit or look IRL without actually trying them on. Knowing that, I decided to take one for the team and try on a ton of the brand’s coolest jeans right now and give you the 411.

I Just Tried On 8 Pairs of Levi’s Jeans and Would Put My Money Behind These 5

    [ad_1]

There are very few brands that not only truly stand the test of time but even appreciate in value over time. Needless to say, Levi’s is part of that exclusive club. A huge part of why I hold Levi’s so near and dear to my heart is the quality of denim and superb fit at such a low price. These days, when a pair of everyday jeans can cost $200 to $300-plus, I know I can always count on Levi’s to keep me stylish and on budget.

Spring is officially here, so I decided to do a haul of all the Levi’s I’ve been eyeing at Nordstrom—from a tapered-leg that makes me feel like a carefree Lisa Bonet to a dark-denim straight-leg that feels more Megan Markle, each pair I tried has its own personality and will hold a unique spot in my wardrobe. The 2022 Anti-Trend Pieces I’m Ditching for Their 2023 Replacements

    [ad_1]

I am in the midst of updating my closet this season, which just so happens to be filled with a plethora of anti-trend pieces. With my serious dedication to classic style, I can’t help but reach for effortless options each season that can (for the most part) stand the test of time. My goal is always to put together a set of key staples that I know I will wear over and over again. Even so, it feels like it’s time to store, sell, or donate, some old staples to make room for fresh additions.

In most of these cases, I am looking to make the simplest of updates. For instance, I have been a huge fan of the boxy oversize blazer for some time now, but lately, I am craving a more tailored blazer that cinches in right at the waist. In the skirt department, I am taking a break from midi lengths to wear ankle-grazing maxi styles inspired by ’90s throwbacks. Keep scrolling to check out four anti-trend favorites that have served me well and what I am swapping them out for this season.

The Reviews Don’t Lie: These Sculpting Jeans Will Make Your Butt Look Great

    [ad_1]

There’s nothing like putting on a pair of amazing jeans that instantly transforms your look and boosts your confidence. But we know all too well that with so many styles, fits, and fabrics out there, finding the perfect pair of jeans that flatters your figure, contours your assets, and fits like a glove is not always an easy feat. Taking a few features into account can help when shopping for your body type and fit preference. Two style details to consider are the position of the back pockets and the design of the yoke. (The yoke is the V-shaped section at the back of the jeans that gives denim a curved seat. Typically, the deeper the V, the more shapelier your bum will look.)

Luckily, when it comes to finding the butt-lifting jeans of your dreams, we’ve done some of the hard work for you. We looked at the top reviews and positive feedback of sculpting jeans from a plethora of retailers to bring you the 24 best out there. I Tested 7 Pairs of Lightweight Jeans in 90-Degree Heat

    [ad_1]

I’m someone who wears jeans almost every day. I’m also someone who lives in the hot and humid South, so wearing denim in the summer months is often a no-go. But a girl can’t live in shorts and dresses alone (at least this girl can’t), so I set out to find lightweight jeans that I can actually get away with wearing in the summer without sacrificing my body temperature.

As luck (or something like that) would have it, an intense heatwave recently appeared and I got to put a stack of lightweight jeans to the test. In choosing the jeans that I would try, I stuck to stretchy styles, most of which were below 11 ounces (denim weights typically run from 5 to 32 ounces). For the sake of variety, some of the styles were slim-fitting while others were wide-leg, but all of them were reflective of current denim trends and were created by some of the coolest denim brands on the market.

Keep reading to find out how I fared in my search for the best lightweight jeans to wear as the temperatures climb this summer and shop them for yourself.

  • Hailey Bieber Wore the World’s Most Classic Pair of Jeans in a Very 2023 Way

Hailey Bieber Wore the World’s Most Classic Pair of Jeans in a Very 2023 Way

    [ad_1]

As much as I love trying out new denim brands, there’s only one that I’m truly loyal to: Levi’s. Original, I know. But there’s a reason why the more than 150-year-old denim brand is still beloved by so many. Simply put, the jeans it produces have a better fit, are made of better materials, and age better than any of the ones its competitors make—period—especially when it comes to its OG pair, the 501s. While you shouldn’t really need more proof of their superiority if you ask me, I’ll give it to you anyways.

Hailey Bieber, who’s probably tried every single pair of elite jeans on the market, always seems to come back to her 501s. This latest time, she wore a vintage pair from Orlee Weisberg’s L.A.-based vintage denim brand Denim by Orlee, which are purposely oversize and therefore sit low on Bieber’s waist. She paired the jeans with a blue-and-white striped Loewe polo worn tucked in, a Previously Known leather bomber jacket, and Bottega Veneta Westerncore mules. It’s a combination that feels extremely 2023 despite her jeans being originally designed way back in the 1800s. Further adding to its modern aesthetic, she wore arguably this year’s most popular sunglasses, Saint Laurent’s SL 557 Shade, and Miu Miu’s Wander Matelassé bag, a style the Italian brand re-creates season after season.

I’m a Former Nordstrom Stylist—These 6 Denim Brands Are the Best

    [ad_1]

In a past life, before I was an assistant editor at Who What Wear, I worked as a stylist for Nordstrom. I loved everything about being a stylist. I got to play with clothes all day and help people feel more confident about their personal styles. One of the things most people want to know is what denim brand works for me. As an avid jeans wearer, I love a good pair of jeans and have tried almost every brand you can think of.

Not only have I tried several denim brands, but I have also recommended them to clients, friends, and now to you. Nordstrom is my absolute go-to when looking for all things denim. It carries all of my favorite brands plus offers free basic alterations on Nordstrom-purchased clothing, so if I need a quick hem, it’s no big deal. When shopping for jeans, there are three things that are important to me: wash, cut, and fit. I need jeans that not only look luxe but feel it as well and are super flattering. Of course, I’d never brag about all the great denim brands Nordstrom has to offer without letting you in on my favorites.

Keep scrolling to see the six denim brands that I currently can’t get enough of.
