  • The Coziest I’ve Been Was While Testing Gifts for the Cold Person in Your Life

    [ad_1]

It’s getting cold outside, and it’s even worse for a person who’s always cold. The first crisp morning of the season sends your poor, perpetually cold loved one diving under the bedsheets, digging for the fuzzy socks, or fiddling with the thermostat when your back is turned. (Don’t look—they’re probably doing it right now.) This year, give the gift of warmth to your friend who is constantly shivering, sniffling, and suffering. From protective layers for outdoor adventures to cozy accessories, here’s how to show your hypothermic human you care.

For more ideas, check out our many holiday gift guides, including the best Gifts for Birders, Gifts for Golfers, and Gifts for Hikers, Backpackers, and Outdoorsy People, and more.

Updated October 2025: We added the Xero Pagosa Cozy, the Skida Fleece Scarflette, the Dreo Whole Room Heater, the Rumpl Wrap Sack, the Finisterre RNLI Jumper, In the Kingdom of Ice book, and the Fjällräven Expedition Down Lite Jacket.

  • We’ve Teed Up the Best Gifts for Every Golfer Right Here

    [ad_1]

Why do we golf? We may never get good at it, and even when we cross some self-imposed pinnacle of proficiency we face near-infinite new challenges and a good chance of the dreaded backslide. Yet once you catch the bug, driven by the euphoria of the perfect shot and the temperance to conquer your own emotions, you’re hooked for life.

The good news is there’s an ever-evolving bounty of gear and gadgets offering new ways to improve, enrich, and enhance the game we hate to love. To help you hone your search, I’ve rounded up my favorite golf gifts for every player and budget, all tested out on the links by yours truly. Whether you’re a hacker on the hunt or a loved one shopping for the afflicted, you’ll find the perfect gifts for every golfer below.

Updated October 2025: We’ve added the Sun Mountain Matchplay golf bag, Heathlander Golf Shoes, Juniper & James golf polo and shorts, and updated prices throughout.

WIRED’s Gear team has personally tested and vetted everything that appears in our gift guides. Also, be sure to check out Best Golf Rangefinders guide, and our gift guides for outdoorsy people, dads, and travelers.

It’s well known that golf isn’t the most sustainable game, using plenty of resources to create sculpted greens and a lovely landscape to explore. That doesn’t mean you can’t lean toward more environmentally friendly ways to play. In my Pacific Northwest home region, where the rain is aplenty, we have several courses that target sustainable ways to maintain their beauty.

That’s not always possible, especially in desert climates, but if you’re after geo-certified courses, this site can help guide you toward the best options in your area around the world. You’ll find plenty of other resources elsewhere online to help out, and it’s always nice to feel good about where you play in more ways than one.

  • Here’s What I’m Gifting My Fellow Book Lovers This Year

    [ad_1]

I love losing myself in a good book, and I’m not the only one. Finding great gifts for book lovers isn’t just about testing for the best e-reader (which we have!) or rounding up all the accessories worth adding to your Kindle (we’ve done that too), but rather it’s about setting up your favorite reader to keep enjoying stories.

You can help your favorite reader enjoy another story with anything from a new reading gadget and a handy accessory to cozy items to settle in for a nice, long reading session. After all, if there’s anything we’ve learned from the rise of #BookTok, it’s that there’s no lack of accessories and items that can make a reader happier than ever. Here are our favorite gifts for book lovers we’re shopping this season.

Be sure to also check out our other buying guides, including Best Kindles, Best E-Readers, Best Kindle Accessories, Best Tablets, and Best Digital Notebooks. If you’re on the hunt for more gifts, don’t miss our guides to the Best Viral Gifts, Best Gifts for Bird Lovers, Best Subscription Boxes for Gifting, and many more.

Updated October 2025: We’ve reorganized this guide and added new gifts from PopSockets, Strapsicle, BukSuk, Passion Planner, James Wax, East Fork, Beautiful by Drew Barrymore, Eberyjey, and Ugg, plus we’ve included new book sets.

    A New E-Reader

When I got back into reading, I fell in love with ebooks and getting free copies from the library that I would read on my Libby app. That year, for my birthday, I was gifted a Kindle from two different people, and I’ve never looked back. Whether they’re a new reader looking for a better or one who’s complaining about how heavy their books are, an e-reader makes for a great solution (and you can still get those free library books on it!).

    Amazon

    Kindle Paperwhite (2024, 12th Generation)

If they don’t have a Kindle, the 12th-edition Paperwhite is our favorite one. It’s got a warm front light and great battery life, and it comes in a fun pink color. Upgrade to Signature for an auto-adjusting light and more storage (aka more books!).

    Kobo

    Libra Color

If they have an e-reader but want the option to use color, the Kobo Libra Color is the best option. It lets them use a range of colors as they read, and you can add on a stylus to turn it into a digital notebook. It’s got page-turner buttons, which are great and something you won’t find on Kindle.

    E-Reader Accessories

From cute cases to handy straps that make reading easier, there’s no lack of fun options to add to a Kindle or other e-readers.

    PopSockets

    PopCase Kindle and PopGrip

PopSockets has a new collection of Kindle cases that have a MagSafe ring, so you can easily pop on a PopSocket grip. The Curled Up With a Good Book design has a matching case and grip you can use together.

    Strapsicle

    E-Reader Hand Strap

These straps from Strapsicle make it really easy to hold up an e-reader. They’re easy to attach, and I even find just using one of the two straps secures it. The limited-edition neon collection is super fun and worth shopping before it runs out.

    The Quirky Cup Collective

    E-Reader Sleeves

This stylish sleeve is a great gift to give an e-reader user who loves to take their device on the go. It’ll keep it protected without taking up more space.

    Lamicall

    Gooseneck iPad Holder

I struggle with a wrist cyst that makes holding up my Kindle for long periods uncomfortable. This tablet holder works great for tablets and e-readers alike, and it lets my book hover over my head hands-free.

    Accessories for Physical Book Readers

No e-reader? No problem. These book lights solve the constant struggle for a book reader: darkness getting in the way of their reading.

    Vekkia

    14 LED Book Light

Our favorite reading light is a super versatile clip-on with an adjustable gooseneck. The two swiveling light bars have seven LEDs each.

    Glocusent

    LED Neck Reading Light

This lightweight neck light is a great option if your reader might hate clipping something onto the pages. It has three light warmths and six brightness settings.

    Book Bags

If the book lover in your life is known for toting their e-reader or book of choice everywhere they go, here are some fun accessories for carrying them around (and for logging their thoughts as they read!).

    Hello Clio

    The Original Kindle Belt Bag

This cute belt bag isn’t too much wider than a normal one but packs a soft internal pocket made for carrying a Kindle Paperwhite or base Kindle.

    New York Public Library

    Library Card Tote Bag

This tote bag screams “I love books” in the best way possible. It’s a great size with, nice long straps that make it super comfortable to wear.

    Stickers, Journals, and Annotation Tools

Whether they’re looking to decorate their e-reader or the pages of their books, there’s a fun add-on here for every kind of reader.

    Strapsicle

    Sweet Stickers

Strapsicle recently launched stickers, with both a sweet and spicy pack. It’s a nice-size set that could easily decorate multiple e-readers.

    Papier

    Reading Journal

If they’re constantly crushing a new read, get them a journal to track everything they’ve read and how they liked it.

    Book Tabs

I don’t like primary colors while I annotate my books. This is a similar but much larger pack of book tabs I found at my local Daiso, and the pastel colors are much more pleasing on the eyes as I mark up my book pages.

    Passion Planner

    Passion Highlighters

I love these highlighters for my paper planners, and they’re a great option for readers who light to highlight their passages. There’s a highlighter and pen end for each color if they like to underline.

    Reading Vibes

Gifts for your local book lover aren’t just giving books and book items. Help them set the mood while they read with these cozy gift ideas.

    James Wax

    Reading Time Candle

The label says it all. Give them a candle to alert everyone they’re busy reading. I’ve tried all four scents you can choose from, and my favorites are the mimosa and white tea scents.

    Sony

    WH-1000XM6

Help them block out the world while read (or take part in immersion reading, where you listen to the audiobook while you read the physical book at the same time) with our favorite noise-canceling headphones.

    East Fork

    The Mug

Give them a gorgeous mug to stay hydrated with their drink of choice while they read, whether that’s a nice cup of tea or a hot toddy.

    Beautiful by Drew Barrymore

    Beautiful Electric Kettle

They’ll need some hot water with that cup of tea, and this chic electric kettle is both stylish and affordable without slacking on performance.

    Ugg

    Men’s Neuman

Give the gift of happy, cozy feet with our favorite set of men’s slippers. Our WIRED reviewer says these slippers hold up well and have the classic Ugg front, with a low back that makes them easy to slip on and off.

    Gorgeous Books and Boxed Sets

Looking to give the gift of a true book? These box sets and illustrated editions are worth collecting.

Lord of the Rings Illustrated Editions

If there’s a book I want to get my husband that he’s already read, it’s these beautiful illustrated editions of Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and even The Silmarillion.

    One Piece

Maybe they’ve been a One Piece fan for years. Maybe they’re a new fan after seeing the Netflix series. You can start their collection of the still-running manga or even give a couple initial volumes to get them hooked on the original.

    Crescent City Boxed Set

If they’re fans of A Court of Thorns and Roses, it’s official: They’ll need to read Sarah J. Maas’ other series, Crescent City, to keep up with what happens in the next ACOTAR book. The first one is my favorite.

    Judy Blume Essentials (Boxed Set)

    by Judy Blume

These are a great series of books if you’re shopping for an elementary reader or teenager. The books have held up, with Blume’s themes still resonating years later.

    Book Subscriptions

Buying a book for someone can be hard if you’re not sure what they’re into or what they’ve already read. But covering a few months of a subscription is the gift that gives over and over again.

    Audible

If you know someone struggling with time to sit down and read, give them an Audible subscription so they can listen to books while they drive, do chores, work out, and so much more.

    Book of the Month

    Subscription

Book of the Month is a subscription for the reader who loves physical books. Every month, there are five to seven titles to choose from that ship right to their door (they can skip months if nothing catches their eye).

    Parnassus

    Signed First Editions Club

WIRED reviewer Adrienne So has subscribed for years (on and off) to Parnassus Signed First Editions, from novelist Ann Patchett’s store in Nashville, Tennessee. The books are mainly literary fiction, with occasional nonfiction. Every book she’s gotten has been an absolute banger.

  • M&S X Bella Freud is back – these pieces are still in stock

    [ad_1]

Cast your mind back to this time last year, and you may remember the launch of M&S X Bella Freud volume one. As the days grew shorter and the nights colder, the joining of two British stalwarts injected a helping of welcome glitz and joy into our autumn capsule wardrobes – and their first capsule collection (consisting of slogan jumpers, mood-boosting knitwear and very chic women’s suits) sold out almost instantly.

Amidst the fashion set’s obsession with 2010s nostalgia, it feels timely that M&S and Bella Freud have joined forces for a second time, returning – today – with a 43-piece capsule collection.

This time around, M&S X Bella Freud not only includes the cheeky logo sweaters she has long been famous for (my favourite candyfloss pink release reads Wham Bam) – but party season-appropriate homeware, matching Christmas pyjamas, kidswear and even knits for your dog, too. It’s good.

From conceptualising with the M&S team and sketching designs in her London studio, through to seeing the collection come to life on set during the campaign shoot, Bella worked closely with the M&S team on this collection – and it shows.

“This year’s collection is based on the idea of entertaining at home. You want to be a bit dressed up and feel glamorous, but you also want to feel at ease,” Bella Freud says. “At the centre of the collection is a velvet suit and around that, there’s wool and cashmere knitwear and silk shirts, to style it back with. I think the styling feels old school and glamorous – its dressing down that’s dressed up.”

Expect a colour palette of black, navy and white, underpinned with seasonal brown and burgundy interjected with bright colour pops of pink and green. Outerwear and tailoring mainstays include a 100% recycled wool coat, velvet tuxedo trousers and co-coordinating velvet tuxedo jacket – and of course, Bella’s aforementioned iconic word jumpers are back. Bestsellers from the first collection can be picked up, along with new launches, printed with new words, chosen by Bella.

As for Bella’s favourite piece? “I must tell you about the little dog jumper,” she said, “which I think will make people very happy. It’s really fun to make a little garment for a dog – and they’re often hosting alongside you, so it’s only fair they dress up too.”

Ahead, shop our favourite pieces from the M&S X Bella Freud collection.

  • I celebrate Diwali every year, and these gifts are at the top of my wish list

    [ad_1]

With various family get-togethers and elaborate dinners on the cards, it’s expected that she’ll want to look and feel her best. So a restock of her favourite beauty, including a scent, shower gel and lip scrub.

DS & DURGA Deluxe Box Set

    Kulfi Mehndi Moment Blush

Fable & Mane MahaMane Smooth & Shine Hair Oil

    Ranavat Royal Trio Bestsellers Set

    LUSH Mango Lassi Shower Gel

    What is Diwali?

For those who celebrate, Diwali — or Deepavali in South India — is often the biggest event in the calendar year. It’s the festival of light and a time to commemorate the triumph of good over evil, usually marked by getting together with family, dressing up and eating a feast.

This year, Diwali falls on Monday, 20 October 2025, but it changes every year and can fall anywhere between October and November, often coinciding with the new moon (amāsvasya). Last year, Diwali fell on 31 October, creating a brand new, one-off holiday Desis dubbed Diwaliween. Bandi Chhor Divas is on the following day, Tuesday, 21 October 2025.

    Who celebrates Diwali?

The event is celebrated across India and the world by Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs and Jains, but everyone is invited to join the festivities. Sikhs also celebrate Bandi Chhor Divas around the same time as Diwali.

    How do people celebrate Diwali?

People celebrate Diwali in various ways, and this can differ across regions and countries. There are some non-negotiables, though, such as lights, lights and (you guessed it) more lights. Spending time with your loved ones and eating lots of delicious food is also important. From firework displays to adorning your house with tealights and fairy lights, Diwali is first and foremost marked by illumination in every. way. possible.

What are the best gifts to give and receive for Diwali?

From fashion, jewellery and beauty gifts to thoughtful, personalised gifts, there are no strict rules around what to give someone for Diwali, but there are certainly some gift options that are promised to go down well.

People often wear new clothes for Diwali, so brightly coloured new outfits, accessories, and beauty buys make great gifts. As the festival of lights, candles and ornate tea light holders are always a fantastic present, along with new homeware pieces. Don’t forget about food, either – gift hampers and sweets will always go down a treat.

  • This Is What the Moms Want for Christmas This Year, OK? (According to a Mom Who’s Also a Shopping Editor)

    [ad_1]

Learning to do my own gel manicure has been such a game-changer now that I have a little human to look after. As someone who loved doing her own nails versus going to the salon (although I still go if I want something more complex), I knew I’d need to pivot to longer-lasting gels once I became a parent. There’s just too much hand-washing and sanitizing to keep my regular polished nails intact! Olive & June’s newly released Mani System makes doing your own nails so simple—I was able to test it before it came out, and can’t recommend it enough for DIY gel newbies.

Their Mani System comes with nail polish (pick one or six polishes from their selection), an LED gel lamp, a base and top coat (including one peel-off base coat option), the Poppy (for easy polish application), cuticle pusher, nail file, nail clipper, nail buffer, cuticle serum, cuticle remover, clean-up brush, and an acetone pot.

I’m so impressed with the nails I get using O&J’s system—they last for weeks, and I don’t have to leave the house (win!).

    Best Gifts for Aries

When it comes to the best gifts for Aries, Maressa Brown, astrologer and author of Mercury Magic, says fitness-related gifts, tickets to sports events, or a super competitive board game are always a good idea for these bold and passionate rams. Aries also loves a nice piece of jewelry and isn’t afraid to try something new (and then master it!).

Blue Nile Pavé Diamond Aries Zodiac Pendant

The Aries in your life will love this Pavé Diamond Aries Zodiac Pendant from Blue Nile. This necklace is constructed from solid 14K gold and features an Aries symbol encrusted in pavé diamonds for an added touch of sparkle.

The Woobles Zero to Hero Beginner Gift Box

Aries love learning new things. If you’re shopping for a crafty Aries, why not give them the gift of learning how to crochet? The Woobles specializes in beginner-friendly kits, and this Zero to Hero Beginner Gift Box is the best starter set.

    Best Gifts for Taurus

According to Brown, Taurus are “sensual homebodies,” so a cozy sweater or blanket, houseplants, or a gift card for a massage make for a great gift idea. These bulls also appreciate the finer things in life, so a piece of jewelry, a painting, or a handcrafted mug with some nice leaf tea are also good gifts for Tauruses.

Tauruses are known homebodies who love luxury items such as a bougie throw blanket. The Lola Weighted Blanket is one of the most comfortable faux fur blankets ever and has a little bit of weight to it for added relaxation.

“As a Taurus, I can relate to the homebody sentiment—and these Lola blankets are some of my most prized possessions. I admittedly own two of these weighted blankets (one for my couch and one for my bed) and even gifted my dog her own Lola dog bed and matching blanket (though, she still prefers mine).”— Jessie Quinn, StyleCaster Contributing Writer

Birthdate Co. The Birthdate Gold Pendant

    On Sale 21% off

Give jewelry-loving Tauruses a new sparkling piece for their collection. The Birthdate Gold Pendant from Birthdate Co. makes for the sweetest personalized touch and is available for April and May, so you can choose one based on their birth month.

    Tea Forté Select Gift Box

Give your favorite homebody the gift of a warm cup of tea. The Tea Forté Select Gift Box is a customizable gift filled with Tea Forté’s most popular blends.

    Best Gifts for Gemini

Those with Gemini sun signs are incredibly curious and love a good book, so Brown says this makes the best gift idea for Geminis (bonus if it’s the latest, trendiest book!). Geminis are also adventurous, so travel-related gifts are also ideal for these twins.

CALPAK Terra 26L Laptop Duffel Backpack

    On Sale 15% off

Give your adventure-loving Gemini the gift of a new carry-on that fits everything. The CALPAK Terra 26L Laptop Duffel Backpack is a versatile bag that is both a duffel bag and a backpack, and is small enough to fit under the seat in front of you on a plane.

“I travel every month and rarely leave home without a CALPAK bag. This Terra Backpack has become one of my favorites because it’s compact enough to count as a personal item on a plane but spacious enough to fit so much. It’s survived a five-week tour with my musician husband, several cross-country flights, and a recent trip to Europe.”— Jessie Quinn, StyleCaster Contributing Writer

Ostrichpillow Go Memory Foam Travel Pillow

A neck pillow is a must-have for any traveler, and no one does it quite like Ostrichpillow. Give the gift of in-flight comfort with the Go Memory Foam Travel Pillow

    Best Gifts for Cancer

When gifting a Cancer, Brown says a cooking subscription box, cozy blanket, or something sentimental, such as a framed photo or heirloom, makes the best gifts. “They’re also collectors, so anything that fits into their collection.”

    Anthropologie Gold Twist Frame

If you’re planning to gift a framed photo, Anthropologie has so many cute options to choose from, like this Gold Twist Frame oval frame for 4 x 6 photos.
According to Brown, a cooking subscription box like Hello Fresh is another great gift idea for Cancers. And, Hello Fresh makes it super easy, allowing you to give a gift card that they can use to activate their own subscription.

    Best Gifts for Leo

“Leos adore jewelry, especially anything yellow gold or adorned with diamonds and gemstones,” says Brown. “You can’t miss with a classic pair of diamond hoops or maybe a pendant with a gorgeous ruby (which is the birthstone for July Leos). In addition to jewelry, Leos will also love makeup and skincare products, tickets to a Broadway show, or dinner at a trendy restaurant.

Blue Nile East-West Pear-Shaped Ruby Paperclip Necklace

Leos are big on jewelry and love yellow gold. This East-West Pear-Shaped Ruby Paperclip Necklace from Blue Nile is the best jewelry gift for Leos, especially those July Leos who have ruby birthstones.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Ultimate Brow Essentials Kit

Give the gift of the best eyebrows with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Ultimate Brow Essentials Kit. This set features some of our favorite products—we use the Brow Wiz Mechanical Brow Pencil daily—and makes getting defined brows at home a breeze.

    OSEA Bestsellers Discovery Set

If the Leo in your life loves a cult-favorite skincare formula, the OSEA Bestsellers Discovery Set is a great gift to give. This set comes with four mini OSEA formulas, including the viral Undaria Algae Body Oil.

    Best Gifts for Virgo

Individuals with Virgo sun signs are characterized by their organization, meticulousness, and practicality. When shopping for a gift idea for Virgos, consider a gift card to a local yoga studio or a pretty journal they can use to keep their thoughts organized. Sapphire jewelry is also a fitting gift, as it is the birthstone for Virgos born in September and “a very centering, communicative color for Virgos,” says Brown.

Rifle Paper Co. 2026 Brass Easel Desk Calendar

Make scheduling and organizing easier on your favorite Virgo with the Rifle Paper Co. 2026 Brass Easel Desk Calendar. This adorable desk calendar comes with 12 die-cut foil-stamped cards with a brass easel to display them.

    On Sale 9% off

Notebooks are another fun gift to give Virgos—especially when they’re as pretty as the Papier Quilted Daydreams Hardcover Plain Notebook. We love this one because it resembles a bound journal but features a hidden spiral inside for added convenience.

Blue Nile Oval Birthstone Sapphire Stud Earrings

Gift your Virgo a pair of Oval Birthstone Sapphire Stud Earrings from Blue Nile. As Brown notes, this stone is very centering for Virgos. It also symbolizes wisdom, truth, and protection.

    Best Gifts for Libra

Libras are “partnership-oriented and associated with the Seventh House of Partnership,” says Brown. This means that a custom piece of jewelry with their initials or a meaningful date can make for an excellent gift idea. Libras would also appreciate a gift card for a manicure, or a piece of art, or a print that uses symmetry or paired imagery as a nod to their scale symbol. Libras also love anything aesthetically pleasing and are known to be great hosts, so a set of dishes or drinkware is also greatly appreciated.

    Anthropologie Valencia Stoneware Pie Dish

If the Libra on your list loves to bake, a new pie dish—such as the Anthropologie Valencia Stoneware Pie Dish—for their next dinner party is a fun gift. In addition to pies, they can use this dish as a piece of kitchen decor.

    Threshold Coupe Glass

    On Sale 20% off

Libras love to host others and appreciate nice-looking glasses and dishware. Give your favorite Libra a bar cart refresh with a few of these Threshold Coupe Glasses

Anthropologie Emery Jacquard Dish Towels (Set of 3)

A pretty dish towel goes a long way with Libras. The Anthropologie Emery Jacquard Dish Towels come in a set of three and look so cute hanging from a hook in their kitchen.

    Best Gifts for Scorpio

Known for their mystery, shopping for gifts for Scorpios is fun because you can nod to this trait. According to Brown, an overnight stay at a sexy or swanky hotel or a poem detailing your most heartfelt emotions are both good gift ideas for Scorpios. You can also gift a good piece of staple clothing for their mysterious, sexy, and likely all-black wardrobe. And, since they’re a water sign, you can’t go wrong with water-inspired photography or art.

    Custom Hand-Typed Vintage Typewriter Print

If you want to give something sentimental, write your favorite Scorpio a poem and have it specially printed. There are several printing options on Etsy, including a Hand-Typed Vintage Typewriter Print on deckled-edge cotton paper.

    Reformation One-Shoulder Knit Top

A timeless wardrobe staple—in all black, of course—is another gift idea Scorpios will love. Instead of gifting a basic tee, go with something with a little more pizzazz, like this Reformation One-Shoulder Knit Top

Minted Studio Shines Exhale Art Print

Brown also recommends a water-inspired art print, such as this Minted Studio Shines Exhale Art Print, which features indigo and ocean blue hues in a modern, abstract style.

    Best Gifts for Sagittarius

The Sagittarius in your life likely has an adventurous soul and loves to learn new things and explore the great outdoors. With this in mind, Brown says a globe (that they can reference often) would make for a fun and unique Sagittarius gift. You can also give them the gift of learning a new language by purchasing a subscription to Duolingo or Babbel. And, of course, items that support their nature-loving spirit will also be appreciated.

If you want to give the Sagittarius the gift of a globe, you can find a budget-friendly and ultra-chic option such as the Threshold Modern Globe at Target.
Give the gift of learning a new language with a Babbel Gift Subscription. This app is one of the most-recommended ways to not only learn a new language but also become more fluent in said language, allowing the Sagittarius to communicate with others IRL while on one of their many adventures.

Retrospec Weekender Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board

Sagittarius love spending time in nature. If they already have all of the camping equipment they could ever need, an inflatable paddle board for their next lake trip is a fun way to spark their adventurous spirit. The Retrospec Weekender Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board is one of the best options out there, with everything you need—including an easy-to-use pump—to get started.

“I recently tested this Restrospec inflatable paddle board and was so impressed by the quality and how easy it is to inflate (so much so that I used the hand pump instead of my car pump). I am a beginner and appreciate the fuss-free design and how stable you feel when standing on the board.”— Jessie Quinn, StyleCaster Contributing Writer

    Best Gifts for Capricorn

Brown says Capricorns “tend to have a green thumb and can be workaholics,” so gardening tools, hiking gear, or a high-quality classic laptop bag or purse are excellent gift options. Capricorns also have a classic sense of style, so gifting them staple pieces, such as a pendant necklace or a pair of timeless denim, is also a good choice.

    Levi’s 501® ’90s Jeans

    On Sale 30% off

Capricorns will love the gift of a classic pair of jeans, such as the Levi’s 501® ’90s Jeans, that they can garden, work, and live in.
If the Capricorn on your list loves to hike, the HOKA Anacapa Breeze Low sneakers are a must. These sneakers feature the comfort and support that HOKA is known for, with a waterproof construction and excellent traction, making them the perfect hiking shoe.

“I have these HOKA hiking sneakers and am obsessed. They’re super comfortable and supportive on my high arches, and I love that the tread boasts so much traction. Plus, the waterproof construction means I don’t have to deal with soggy soles when hiking. I love these so much that I wear them as regular sneakers when traveling, too.”— Jessie Quinn, StyleCaster Contributing Writer.

Osprey Tempest™ 6 Hiking Lumbar Pack

Hiking accessories are also great gifts for Capricorns—and the Osprey Tempest™ 6 Hiking Lumbar Pack will surely get a ton of use. This belt bag is compact yet spacious enough for your phone, snacks, and other essentials while you hike.

    Best Gifts for Aquarius

Those with Aquarius sun signs love puzzles and games, as well as “tickets to an indie music concert, rare vinyl, or a cool piece of vintage clothing,” says Brown. Aquarians are also humanitarians and would appreciate “a donation made in their name to a charity that means a lot to them.”

    LEGO Botanicals Orchid

    On Sale 20% off

If you have a puzzle lover on your list, consider switching it up and giving them a LEGO set this year. LEGO sets such as this Botanicals Orchid
are a great way to use similar skills without needing to sacrifice the kitchen table.

“I gifted my puzzle-loving mom this LEGO Orchid last year, and she loved it. The set is super beginner-friendly (my mom is not a LEGO expert by any means) and a great way for you to flex those puzzle muscles without needing so much space.”— Jessie Quinn, StyleCaster Contributing Writer

Stonemaier Games: Wingspan by Elizabeth Hargrave

The Stonemaier Games: Wingspan by Elizabeth Hargrave
is another great gift for a game night-loving Aquarius. This competitive board game is designed for one to five players to moonlight as bird enthusiasts, building a wildlife preserve for all kinds of species.

    Uncommon Goods Upcycled Record Coasters

If you can’t get your hands on a rare vintage vinyl, the next best thing is a piece of home decor that nods to an Aquarius’ collection. The Uncommon Goods Upcycled Record Coasters come in a set of six and are all crafted from labels cut from actual vinyl records.

    Best Gifts for Pisces

Dreamy Pisces are creative and spiritual, so a journal, art set, or metaphysical kit with all of the essentials for a seance is a great gift idea. Brown says you can also treat these fish to a “thoughtfully planned day at the beach with a sushi or a seafood lunch.”

Mind Body Nirvana Good Vibes Kit

Give your spiritual Pisces the gift of good vibes with this Mind Body Nirvana Good Vibes Kit. The set includes two crystals, palo santo, and sage for cleansing, protection, and amplified intentions.

BaubleBar Just Roll With It Earring Set

Nod to your Pisces’ sushi obsession with this adorable BaubleBar Just Roll With It Earring Set. The jewelry set features a pair of rhinestone-encrusted sushi roll dangle earrings and chopstick stud earrings in gold-plated brass.

  • 63 best gifts for men, approved by a seasoned shopping editor

    [ad_1]

What is the best gift for men?

That’s entirely dependent on who you’re shopping for and the occasion. Some say the best gifts are those that take into account his interests and preferences. For example, if your dad finds a round of golf time-consuming and boring, we wouldn’t suggest an indoor putting kit, but if he’s an avid marathon runner, new trainers or fitness gadgets will hit the mark.

From experience, personalised gifts are often well-received, suggesting a certain level of thoughtfulness and effort has gone into getting them.

However, there’s not always a need to get a physical present. With experience gifts — concert tickets, great seats to watch their favourite football team, or a countryside staycation — are fairly low-risk. That’s because they cater to his tastes but also create lasting memories, making them some of the best gifts for men.

69 of the best gifts for dads 2025

What is the ‘five gift rule’ for men?

If you’re still struggling to nail down the perfect present, some suggest using the ‘five gift rule,’ a tactic which involves gifting five (often fairly small) presents, one from each of the following categories: something they want, something they need, something to wear, something to read, and a special gift that holds personal significance.

How we choose the best gifts for men:

Here at GLAMOUR, we don’t do anything by halves. Our research began by quizzing various men — specifically our dads and father figures — for their valuable insight on the best gifts they’d ever received. We also requested a quick look at their wishlists to see what they would like to find beneath our (expert) wrapping this year.

After clocking up a fairly lengthy list, we got our hands on as many samples as we could to consider the following: product quality, quantity, aesthetics, value for money and ultimately, whether it qualified as a decent pressie. Unsurprisingly, the items that didn’t impress or we wouldn’t actually gift to our loved ones haven’t been included in this list.

  • 13 White Elephant Gifts Worth Fighting Over

13 White Elephant Gifts Worth Fighting Over

    [ad_1]

White elephant parties present a unique challenge: Can you find something either cool or funny enough within a set budget that a group of people—who are potentially strangers—will battle to take it home?

If you’re headed to your first white elephant gift exchange, here’s a quick explainer on what’s about to happen. Everyone will bring a wrapped gift (often under a certain price, like $25) and place them into a pile or central spot, and then each person will draw a number to see the order. When your number is called, you can either choose and unwrap a gift from the pile, or steal one that has already been unwrapped by someone. Most exchanges will have a limit of how often you can steal one gift—usually around three times—so if you have the best gift in your hands, there’s no guarantee you’ll get to keep it. If your gift is stolen, you can either unwrap a new one or steal a different gift (no take-backs, sorry).

The real thrill comes from finding something great in a pile of who-knows-what. Some folks bring joke gifts, some bring booze to be safe, and some gifts will feel like garbage to you but gems to others. Here are some gifts I recommend bringing, ranging from quirky to cool. There’s something in this guide too for every potential price cap.

The best advice I can give when shopping for a PC gaming enthusiast is simple: If you’re unsure, just ask. Ask if they have a favorite mouse, keyboard, or headset brand they’ve been eyeing. Ask if there’s anything else they’ve been thinking about picking up for themselves. If you’re still not sure, and you don’t want to get them the wrong thing, there’s another one-size-fits-all gift that no PC gamer will dislike: a Steam gift card. With this, the PC gamer in your life will be able to pick out a game from a vast online store. Most popular titles are around $60, so use that as a baseline for how much to add to the card.

  • 19 Piping Hot Gift Ideas for Coffee Lovers

19 Piping Hot Gift Ideas for Coffee Lovers

    [ad_1]

I didn’t consume my first cup of coffee until the ripe age of 24, when I was forced by a former employer to attend an ad hoc cupping session. At first I found the taste of black coffee repulsive, but my small-chain coffee shop employer did not comp the cost of more palatable options like the Minty Mocha Freeze, so my taste buds were forced to adapt. I slowly learned to enjoy the ritual of brewing a fresh pot of coffee in the morning, and I soon began to relish the opportunity to hang with my dad and chug coffee all day when I visited my parents around the holidays. Just two guys drinking Folgers from a crusty Mr. Coffee while reruns of NCIS and Law & Order: SVU air in perpetuity on the television.

I eventually moved to Portland, Oregon, during the height of coffee’s so-called “third wave,” and landed a job at a high-volume café and bakery. At this point my coffee consumption escalated from a physiological necessity to a more considered, bespoke experience. Roasters like Stumptown and Coava taught me about the principles of extraction, Black Rabbit taught me how to clean and maintain my shop’s La Marzocco, and a since-shuttered Seattle Coffee Gear outpost stoked my interest in the ever-expanding universe of grinders, brewers, boilers, and doodads that promise exquisite cups of coffee in all manner of scenarios.

Whether your budget is $4 or $400, there’s no shortage of thoughtful gadgets that make excellent gifts for family, friends, or total strangers in a hotly contested white elephant exchange. We’ve included only products and accessories our team has personally tested, vetted, and used to brew their own coffee at home.

Be sure to check out our many other buying guides. We have a few coffee-related guides, including our favorite cold-brew coffee makers, espresso machines, portable espresso makers, and cappuccino machines.
