That’s entirely dependent on who you’re shopping for and the occasion. Some say the best gifts are those that take into account his interests and preferences. For example, if your dad finds a round of golf time-consuming and boring, we wouldn’t suggest an indoor putting kit, but if he’s an avid marathon runner, new trainers or fitness gadgets will hit the mark.
From experience, personalised gifts are often well-received, suggesting a certain level of thoughtfulness and effort has gone into getting them.
However, there’s not always a need to get a physical present. With experience gifts — concert tickets, great seats to watch their favourite football team, or a countryside staycation — are fairly low-risk. That’s because they cater to his tastes but also create lasting memories, making them some of the best gifts for men.

How we choose the best gifts for men:
Here at GLAMOUR, we don’t do anything by halves. Our research began by quizzing various men — specifically our dads and father figures — for their valuable insight on the best gifts they’d ever received. We also requested a quick look at their wishlists to see what they would like to find beneath our (expert) wrapping this year.
After clocking up a fairly lengthy list, we got our hands on as many samples as we could to consider the following: product quality, quantity, aesthetics, value for money and ultimately, whether it qualified as a decent pressie. Unsurprisingly, the items that didn’t impress or we wouldn’t actually gift to our loved ones haven’t been included in this list.
