A high-speed police chase that started in Ellis County ended in a crash in west Fort Worth early Friday with four suspects detained, officials said.
The cause of the pursuit wasn’t clear. During the chase, shots were reportedly fired from the suspect’s vehicle, according to KDFW-TV. The car rolled over on its side and police approached with caution.
The four suspects were taken to a local hospital for the treatment of crash-related injuries, KDFW reported.

Fort Worth police are investigating a crash that killed one person on Interstate 30 late Friday.
The accident involved a motorcycle and car and occurred in the westbound lanes of I-30 near Forest Park Boulevard, according to police.
The person who died has not been publicly identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner. The Traffic Investigation Unit is looking into the details surrounding the crash.
No further details were immediately available.

Fort Worth police officers responded to the crash on I-20 eastbound/Southwest Loop 820 near Bryant Irvin Road about 5:30 p.m. One driver died at the scene, police said.
Police did not release details on how many vehicles were involved and said the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
All eastbound lanes of I-20 were closed near the scene of the crash for about four hours Monday night, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

Two people were killed in a wrong-way crash with a suspected drunk driver in south Fort Worth early Saturday, police said.
Officers were called to Interstate 35W at Garden Acres Drive shortly after 2 a.m. A car traveling south in the northbound lanes hit another vehicle, killing two of the occupants, according to police. Both died at the scene.
Axel Perez, 18, was arrested and faces a charge of intoxicated manslaughter with a vehicle, according to police records. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner will publicly identify the two people who died.

A 29-year-old man was killed early Saturday in a crash on Interstate 35W in north Fort Worth, police said.
Officers were called to a major accident in the northbound lanes of I-35W at Western Center Boulevard at 1:20 a.m. At least two vehicles were involved, and one of the drivers died at the scene. The other driver appeared to be mostly uninjured, according to police.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified the man who died as Terry Scott-Jones. The Traffic Investigation Unit is looking into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The northbound lanes of the highway were closed for several hours afterward but reopened by 5:15 a.m.

Fort Worth Fire Department Engines 5 and 14 responded to a single vehicle accident about 3:30 a.m., at the U.S. 287 interchange southeast of downtown, Fire Department officials said in a social media post.
The driver of Engine 14 parked the engine at a 45-degree angle “to protect the scene downstream from the flow of traffic,” according to the Facebook post. Moments after the last firefighter stepped off Engine 14, a northbound pickup truck collided with the fire truck, officials said.

The two occupants of the truck that hit Engine 14 were trapped and firefighters on the scene extricated them, officials said. After being removed from the vehicle, they were taken to a local hospital.
The driver who hit the fire truck, Zachary Carlisle, 24, is facing a charge of intoxication assault with a vehicle, according to jail records.
No firefighters were injured, officials said.
Investigators believe Carlisle was intoxicated, and his blood sample was collected for testing, according to the police report.

Two people died after a crash on South Freeway in Fort Worth Monday night, police said.
Officers responded to a major accident about 8 :15 p.m., at 1800 South Freeway, also known as Interstate 35W.
When officers arrived, they found that a single vehicle crashed with a parked semi-truck. One of the occupants of the vehicle was pronounced dead on scene, police said.
The other occupant was taken to an area hospital where they later died, police said.

Two officers helped to save the life of a baby girl who was pinned under a car in a rollover crash Thursday on Interstate 30, Fort Worth police said in a social media post and video.
Officers were called to the major accident on I-30 between Eastchase Parkway and Cooks Lane about 9:30 a.m. According to the 911 call details, a mother and her 1-year-old daughter had been thrown from the vehicle, police said.
The arriving officers immediately started looking for the child. Body-camera footage shows the vehicle overturned in the grassy area along I-30.

Witnesses who’d seen the crash helped the officers push the car up enough to free the infant. The little girl was unconscious, and Sgt. Nichols started performing CPR, according to police.

“She has a pulse. Is she breathing, though?” one of the officers asks.
The officers continue to work with the child, and a short time later she makes some faint noises and starts to cry. The infant was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, and is doing well, according to police. Both she and her mother are expected to fully recover.
“We are beyond proud of the life saving actions performed by Sgt. Nichols and Officer Bounds for their bravery and quick response to this terrible scene,” officials said in the post. “We are also grateful to the Fort Worth citizens who saw someone in danger and, without hesitation, assisted our officers.

One person was killed and another was hospitalized in critical condition after they were hit by a car in Fort Worth early Sunday morning, Sept. 28. The suspected driver was later arrested, police said.

Officers responded to the auto-pedestrian crash about 1 a.m. near the Salvation Army center in the 1800 block of East Lancaster Avenue, police said.
When officers arrived at the hit-and-run scene, they found the two victims. One victim was pronounced dead on the scene and the other was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police said Montanez fled prior to officers’ arrival. Later, officers found the suspect’s vehicle and Montanez was taken into custody.
