  • Catherine Zeta-Jones Just Nailed Italian Vacay Style in Portofino

Catherine Zeta-Jones Just Nailed Italian Vacay Style in Portofino

    [ad_1]

What are you doing if you’re not vacationing in Europe right now? I, for one, am sweating out the summer in Brooklyn, living vicariously through all the photos of celebrities vacationing everywhere from Paris to Positano.

Recently, Catherine Zeta-Jones caught my eye when she stepped out for a stroll with her husband, Michael Douglas, while on holiday in Portofino, Italy. The 53-year-old Wednesday star looked stunning clad in a chic vintage Ungaro gown with a plunging neckline. If this dress looks familiar to you, then you’re not alone. It was worn almost two decades ago by Jessica Simpson when she received the Big Stylin’ award at VH1’s Big in 2005 ceremony. This goes to show that truly excellent fashion never goes out of style.

Ahead, shop maxi dresses that are perfect to take on vacation. Or, if you’re like me, to wear while taking your dog for a hot girl walk around the block. When you carry yourself with this much confidence, it doesn’t matter if you’re in Pittsburgh or Plano.

  • Kendall Jenner Just Discovered the Secret to Making Denim Shorts Look Chic

Kendall Jenner Just Discovered the Secret to Making Denim Shorts Look Chic

    [ad_1]

Leave it to Kendall Jenner to make even the most casual of clothing look ridiculously chic. In this case, the item is a summertime classic: cutoff denim shorts. And the way Jenner just styled them is kind of genius, so take notes.

Jenner went with a short pair of black denim cutoffs for a shopping trip in Malibu over the weekend, and the basics she styled them with are key here. In addition to a fitted white T-shirt, she wore a belt, sleek flat slide sandals, and a sweater draped over her shoulders as the pièce de résistance.

You’re probably thinking it’s a bit hot for sweaters right now (even one you’re not really wearing), but as we start transitioning into fall, wearing a sweater with denim shorts will make a lot of sense. And if you’re like me, having a sweater on hand, even on hot days, will help you combat the frigid A/C once you’re inside.

Scroll to see Jenner’s wildly chic denim shorts outfit, and shop the look for yourself.

  • It’s Knee-High Boot Season—Here’s How Everyone Will Be Styling Them This Fall

It’s Knee-High Boot Season—Here’s How Everyone Will Be Styling Them This Fall

    [ad_1]

The fashion industry likes to consider fall as “boot season,” but if you ask me, there’s only one shafted shoe style that matters, and those are the ones that settle right below the knee and make every outfit infinitely more refined. Knee-high boots are classic for a reason. They go with everything, provide far more stability than any sandal or slingback can, and protect you from the dropping temperatures that might not be here yet, but will be very soon (count on it). A good pair will get you all the way through autumn—even if you wear them every day—and winter, not to mention spring and summer (or am I the only one who can’t give up my knee-highs no matter how hot it gets?).

There’s only one problem. Every footwear designer on the planet makes boots in the fall. It’s basically law. And though my workplace pays me to navigate through clothes, bags, and shoes all day, I’m pretty sure a majority of others do not. That’s why I went ahead and spent a few hours finding every chic pair on the market, not to mention a bevy of outfits to inspire your styling of them, and dropped them all in an easy, effortless list below. Thank me later when your boots arrive and you can’t stop wearing them.

Reformation’s Sale Is Finally Here—8 Marked-Down Items I Tried On and Loved

    [ad_1]

Out of all the sales that have come and gone this summer, only a handful really standout as being elite and worthy of some serious set-aside time. There’s Nordstrom’s iconic Anniversary Sale, Zara’s mind-boggling everything-must-go sale, and, of course, *the* SSENSE sale. But none get whispered about among fashion girls quite like Reformation’s once-yearly sale, which, as luck would have it, started today

Every year around this time, Reformation secretly launches a mega round of discounts, with the date and time always changing slightly to surprise the brand’s biggest fans. People plan for weeks leading up to it, hoping the items they’ve been eyeing will get the markdown treatment. Well, I’m here to tell you that it’s time to check your shopping carts for 30%-off prices. That, and tell you exactly what it is that you should buy now that red slashes have been dealt out.

To prepare for the annual shopping event, I stopped into SoHo’s store ahead of the sale and got a sneak peek at some of what it would eventually include, from floral dresses and sets to tank tops and denim. I even got to try some on. Below, see the items I took into the dressing room with me and shop more of my finds from Reformation’s just-launched 30%-off sale.

Zooey Deschanel Just Got Engaged—See Her Pink and Purple Floral Ring

    [ad_1]

From Sofia Richie to Naomi Watts, there have been plenty of great celebrity weddings this summer. But just because fall is on the horizon doesn’t mean the excitement is slowing down. Today, Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott (of Property Brothers fame) just announced they’re engaged after four years of dating. How cute are they?

In an Instagram post, Deschanel revealed her unique engagement ring, which consists of pink and purple stones in a floral design. Of course, she also coordinated her manicure with similar shades. I have a feeling her New Girl character Jessica Day would approve. According to People, the couple became engaged in Scotland, where Scott’s family is from. Keep scrolling to see their announcement.

  • How Natasha Case Pivoted Her Career Into Bettering Kids’ Meals With Lunch Bunch

How Natasha Case Pivoted Her Career Into Bettering Kids’ Meals With Lunch Bunch

    [ad_1]

It’s rare for us to bring back a guest, but there’s no doubt that Natasha Case, the brilliant founder and CEO of Lunch Bunch, is the perfect exception. We first sat down with Case in 2018, when she was at the helm of Coolhaus, a phenomenal ice cream company, after a previous career in architecture. Case and her now-wife Freya were dedicated to creating an ice cream brand that resonated with their generation. Coolhaus grew rapidly after its electrifying debut at Coachella in 2009 (via an ice cream truck) to boast three brick-and-mortar stores and a staggering 25 flavors in over 6,000 retailers by 2018.

But Case’s career journey has taken several exciting turns since our last conversation. After stepping away from her daily role at Coolhaus, she embarked on a new venture: Lunch Bunch, a company designed to encourage children’s curiosity through food with healthy lunch offerings for kids. The inspiration for this ingenious concept stemmed from Case’s role as a mother of two. She recognized a significant gap in the market for nutritious and convenient meal options tailored specifically to the fussiest of eaters: kids. Launching as a meal subscription service, Lunch Bunch has since evolved into an enriching partnership program. Collaborating with over 20 schools, the initiative provides wholesome lunches and imparts valuable knowledge about food, nutrition, and cooking to young minds.

Hailey Bieber Told Me the “Perfect” Bra to Wear With White Tees

    [ad_1]

If you look at any one of Hailey Bieber’s daytime street style looks from this summer, you’ll start to see a pattern. She wears a lot of white T-shirts. With them, you might spot some denim cutoffs, tube socks, and either loafers or sneakers. What you won’t see, though, is any sign that she’s wearing a bra. And no, that doesn’t mean she’s not wearing one. It just goes to show that the style she is wearing is really good and invisible in a way that’s almost impossible to guarantee. Naturally, I asked her about it.

Bieber is one of nine models—from the original supers such as Gisele Bündchen and Naomi Campbell to new-era names such as Adut Akech, Paloma Elsesser, and Emily Ratajkowski—who starred in the campaign for Victoria’s Secret’s just-launched Icon Collection. As such, I got the opportunity to talk all things lingerie with the Rhode founder. In addition to finally finding out the details of her miracle bra for wearing under white tees, I learned about the pajamas she’s the most confident in, how she feels about working with her idols, and the three lingerie trends that she’s been obsessing over this year. Read all about it and check out the star-studded campaign below.

  • Summer Suncare Tips with Beauty Director Erin Jahns

Summer Suncare Tips with Beauty Director Erin Jahns

    [ad_1]

So let’s say you took a trip this summer, and maybe you experienced some sun damage. What can you do to help combat the damage you have inflicted upon yourself, over-the-counter product-wise?

I think a lot of people stop using retinol or retinoids during the summer, which you have to be using SPF if you’re using retinol, but retinol is one of the best things you can do to basically undo sun damage, stimulate cell turnover, retexturize the skin, prevent fine lines, brightening, all of it. It kind of does everything. So reincorporating that into your routine a few days a week, maybe don’t go every day because it can cause irritation, and again, you want to slow build these products that are a little bit more active, a little bit more potent, so a few times a week to help correct sun damage.

J.Crew Just Put Tons of New Fall Items on Major Sale—These 29 Are Wardrobe Gold

    [ad_1]

While some brands are still marking down summer items, J.Crew is busy marking down its new fall items. That’s right—from now through August 14, the brand is offering 30% off of its “almost fall” styles with the code SHOPNOW. Specifically, there are 343 items to choose from, with cardigans and sweaters, button-downs, dresses, cargo pants, jeans, skirts, and accessories all present and accounted for.

My Editor Senses Are Tingling—Nordstrom’s New $60 Flats Are About to Go Viral

    [ad_1]

As a fashion editor, it’s my job to predict how the internet will react to new releases, runway collections, collaborations, and more. It’s not enough to identify a trend once it has already caught on. You have to spot them early and take a chance. Well, that’s exactly what I’m doing today after noticing that Open Edit, an in-house Nordstrom brand editors love, had dropped a pair of new Mary-Jane flats in two colorways. At just $60, these shoes sent my editor senses tingling, a sure sign I’d just found a future hit.

Named Regina, the flats feature a slightly pointed toe and delicate top strap—details that immediately reminded me of other offerings I’d seen in the designer shoe section of Nordstrom’s website, where pairs by The Row, Aeyde, and Prada can be found. The big difference, of course, is that those flats go for hundreds of dollars or more, and these will only set you back $60. Or, if you buy both colors, which might have to be my move, $120.

Keep scrolling to shop Open Edit’s Regina flat before the world catches wind of this just-launched style and buys up every last pair. Trust me. You’ll regret it if you don’t.

Omg—Prada Beauty’s Lipsticks and Eyeshadows Are Already Here

    [ad_1]

Right now, there’s one phrase on the fashion crowds’ lips—Prada Beauty. No beauty launch has caused this much commotion in the fashion space in recent memory. It makes sense, as no one knows quite how to marry classic and modern together quite like Miuccia Prada, the queen of understated elegance meets eccentric style.

Now, Prada is taking that same sensibility into the beauty space. Prada Beauty is just debuted with their “Rethinking Beauty” campaign. The collection aims to feel both highly personal and accessible, with skincare and makeup that tap into the best of both minimalism and maximalism. There’s Prada Skin and Prada Color, and each perfectly encapsulates the heart of the iconic brand.

While Prada Beauty formally launches in the United States in January 2024, it looks like we’ve lucked out—some of the products are already available on the site. If you want to be the first to try the new lipsticks and eye palettes, you can. The eyeshadow palettes draw from Prada’s archival prints, while the lipsticks are inspired by the iconic Saffiano leather, which reinvents the idea of what matte lipstick looks like as we know it.

  • This Foundation Is the Celeb Secret to Flawless Skin—It’s On Sale

This Foundation Is the Celeb Secret to Flawless Skin—It’s On Sale

    [ad_1]

Do you ever see a photo of a celebrity and wonder how on Earth their makeup looks so flawless? Sure, a lot of this has to do with celebrity makeup artists, access to the top derms and facialists, and Photoshop, but there is one product that celebrity makeup artists consistently reach to more than any other for a flawless, skin-like finish.

The product in question? Chantecaille Future Skin Gel Foundation. Makeup artists have been reaching for this product for years, but it first garnered attention when it became known as the foundation that celebrity makeup artist Donni Davy reached for on the Euphoria set. “These foundations look like skin, they do not look at all like foundation,” Davy told Who What Wear UK. “It melts into the skin and looks so much like skin.”

The trick to this foundation is all in the formula. Chantecaille Future Skin is an oil-free gel, which allows for customizable, lightweight, and buildable coverage. It melts seamlessly into skin, like an IRL Instagram filter. Since it’s made with 60 percent water, aloe, and Camellia sinensis (tea leaf) extract, the formula also hydrates and nourishes skin while it evens and adds coverage.

Every product has a downside, and the downside to Chantecaille Future Skin is that it’s $89, which is quite a pretty penny for foundation. Even though the jar lasts a long time and is definitely worth the investment, I still feel uneasy shelling out so much for a face product. Right now, though, Dermstore is having their Anniversary Sale, and one of the products included in the sale is Chantecaille Future Skin. From August 8 until August 17, you can use the code CHEERS at checkout to get 25% off Chantecaille’s cult-favorite foundation (and plenty of other beloved products).

We talk about French style a lot at Who What Wear, often referring to Paris as the ultimate mecca for style. But, while the French capital is full of fashionable locals, it isn’t the only place we look to for inspiration. Much closer to home and brimming with chic brands and inhabitants is Los Angeles, where every trip to Erewhon or Sunset Tower is met with a bevy of need-to-copy wardrobe items, with jewelry being potentially the most enviable category of all.

We were excited to hear Logan Hollowell, an L.A.-based fine-jewelry designer beloved by Rocky Barnes, Elsa Hosk, and even Meghan Markle, was teaming up with Brilliant Earth, one of the world’s largest and most respected ethically-scoured fine-jewelry dealers. The duo is releasing a capsule collection inspired by nature.

The 12-piece Secret Garden collection, which came out today, features all of the style points that those familiar with Hollowell’s work know and love, including bright-colored gemstones like pink sapphires and emeralds as well as spiritual and enchanted shapes and details, with all of the impeccable quality that Brilliant Earth has been known for since its creation in 2005. “The responsibly sourced lab diamonds, gemstones, and recycled precious metals featured in this collection highlight the wonder of nature and our shared reverence for the planet,” says Kathryn Money, Brilliant Earth’s SVP of Merchandising and Retail. “Both our brands are committed to quality, ethical sourcing, and creating truly beautiful pieces.”

Princess Diana’s Favorite Sweater Is Just As Elite In 2023—19 I Know She’d Love

    [ad_1]

While browsing through fall new arrivals, I couldn’t help but notice a few sporty sweaters that look incredibly familiar. Then it hit me: None other than Princess Diana had the style in her stellar sweater collection. Varsity sweaters are certainly nothing new but with sports like Tennis and Pickleball being fashion’s favorite sports right now, I’m not surprised the prep-adjacent trend is being spotted all over the market. Plus, after all the elegant looks from Wimbledon, I’m anticipating more people incorporating preppier knitwear into their 2023 fall wardrobe.

From a $13 option at H&M to a $960 Wales Bonner sweater at the top of my wishlist, I’ve rounded up the best varsity sweaters money can buy right now. When you come across a royalty-approved trend at an under-$100 price point, you have to give it a look. But also, if there’s anything that Princess Diana’s style has taught us it’s that the pieces she wore will never be quite out of style. So if you’re willing to splurge on the pricier ones below, I support it.  Keep scrolling to find your sweater pick for the season.

Meghan Markle Wore a $240 Dress From the Viral Brand That Sofia Richie Loves

    [ad_1]

It’s pretty much guaranteed that whatever Meghan Markle wears will sell out. Well, that is if it wasn’t custom made or impossible to get your hands on (which has happened quite a bit given the whole royal thing). Even then, though, I’d be willing to bet that at least one person got pretty close to sourcing the same thing. Luckily, her latest outfit isn’t quite so tricky to recreate, one, because it costs under $250, and two, because it’s still very much in stock at Moda Operandi.

Ahead of her 42nd birthday, Markle was spotted on a dinner date with Prince Harry at Tre Lune in Montecito, California wearing a black-and-cream striped tube dress that’s both reasonably affordable and majorly chic. The dress, called the Theo, was designed by the Australian label Posse, which has been allover the fashion news of late ever since Sofia Richie Grainge wore a linen two-piece set from the brand during her wedding weekend in the South of France.

    [ad_1]

If there’s a functional luxury It item, there’s a good chance that Jennifer Lawrence will be wearing it (or at least have it in her cart). She’s the queen of low-key luxury, and that term is exemplified by the bag she just carried in New York City: the new Loewe Puzzle Tote. As someone who has been very keyed into the new fall It bags, I feel like I’ve been seeing this one everywhere, and with good reason.

If you’re familiar with Loewe, you’re probably aware it’s partly known for its various “puzzle” handbags. They’re unique, timeless, and wildly popular because of it. The new Puzzle Tote is a decidedly functional addition to the lineup, as it’s beautiful but also fits a lot of items. Lawrence opted for the medium version in the versatile khaki green, but the tote is also available in other neutral shades and mini and large sizes. Perhaps the bag’s coolest aspect is that it folds down to a flat square when empty, making it an excellent option for travel.
