    Why Donald Glover left Fionna and Cake ahead of Season 2?

    Created by Adam Muto and Pendleton Ward, Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake is an animated comedy series streaming on HBO Max. It is a spin-off of the original Cartoon Network series Adventure Time.

    The series follows gender-swapped versions of the main characters Finn and Jake—Fionna and Cake—in an alternate universe. Fionna struggles with ordinary life until she is pulled into the Land of Ooo, where she discovers her true identity.

    In the show’s first season, Donald Glover voiced Marshall Lee, a gender-swapped version of Marceline from the original series. He is a vampire with similar supernatural abilities to Marceline, including flying and shape-shifting into a bat.

    For Season 2, Glover, who’s popularly known by his stage name Childish Gambino, will not be reprising his role. The actor has not provided any official statement, but many speculate that his health issues may be the reason. In September 2024, the Community actor notably canceled his world tour to focus on his “physical health for a few weeks.” (via Los Angeles Times)

    Since the production for Season 2 coincided with this announcement, it is possible that the actor was unable to return to work. The details on his health condition are still under wraps.

    On the other hand, voice actor Kris Kollins has announced that he’ll be taking over the role in the latest seasons. He took to his Instagram account to break the news. Kollins posted a carousel of photos with a caption.

    This caption read, “Marshall Lee ☆ I can finally announce I am joining Season 2 of Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake as the voice of Marshall Lee. It’s such an honor to be a part of a show that I’ve loved since 2010. Thank you to Kristi and everyone who saw Marshall in me.”

    He also addressed Glover in the captions: “Thank you @donaldglover for originating the role of Marshall…I promise to put my best foot forward. Grateful and appreciative. Thank you, God.”

    He added, “I don’t know if this is going to be a situation where Ava and Ric would ever wind up getting back together, even remotely. But this is a soap, right? Anything can happen, anything is possible.”

    Hearst also admitted that even if the two characters don’t end up together, he’d like Ric to stay close to Ava, as he loves working with West. “I would love to be able to be in Maura West’s [Ava] orbit,” he expressed. “I adore working with her and I love the dynamic that happens between us — not just as actors, but as the two characters.”

    In the second match, Bayley took on Raquel Rodriguez. The latter had Roxanne Perez in her corner, and she eventually played a key role in Rodriguez’s win over Bayley.

    LA Knight vs. Kofi Kingston

    LA Knight wrestled Kofi Kingston in the next match. They put on a great show, utilizing their skills. Knight ultimately won via pinfall.

    AJ Styles and Dragon Lee vs. Los Americanos

    In episode 7, “Ascend”, the show sheds light on Evelyn’s past and her ritual. As a pregnant teenager, Evelyn ran away from home after her parent took her child away from her. Following this traumatic experience, she ends up in Tall Pines, where Weldon, an older man, introduces her to a cult-like community. After turning against him and killing him, Evelyn takes control.

    As a part of the ritual, Evelyn uses the venom from the toads in the town to induce students into a psychedelic state. She believes this helps them relive and confront deep emotional wounds and trauma.

    In the finale, her assistant, Rabbit, and police officer, Alex, inject Evelyn with the toad poison, sending her into a trance-like state. In her hallucinations, she relives and confronts her past trauma. She sees multiple versions of herself as Rabbit continues to chant the ritual to her. While Evelyn’s mind is occupied with hallucinations, he body lies in the water, with nobody to help her. As a result, she is presumed dead.

    While this may have looked like she died, the show doesn’t explicitly acknowledge it. So, there is no confirmation that she is indeed dead. However, this opens up a possibility for her character to return in the second season, if there is any.

When Chase arrived, firefighters worked to free the man while Chase questioned Lulu. She explained she hadn’t seen anyone else at the scene and only glimpsed the obscured driver. Chase reassured her she did everything right as the victim was taken to the hospital.

    Liz and Lucas react to Monica’s death

    At the hospital, Liz told Lucas that Britt was tied up in a meeting with Terry and Portia. Suddenly, Liz read the devastating news online that Monica had passed away. Shocked, Liz recalled that Monica was once Jake’s first art customer. Lucas admitted the hospital would never be the same without her.

    Danny confronts Drew about Scout

    Danny visited Drew, asking to see Scout. He insisted Scout needed her family and accused Drew of keeping them apart out of spite. Drew pushed back, blaming Danny’s recklessness on Jason’s influence. Danny hit back, saying their mom would be heartbroken over Drew’s actions. Later, Liz told Drew about Monica’s death, leaving him devastated.

    Gio finds Outback and kisses Emma

    Emma, Charlotte, and Rocco brainstormed ways to find the missing dog, Outback. Meanwhile, Molly discovered Outback’s owners online, but Cody hesitated to contact them. When Gio later asked Cody about the missing dog, Cody finally reunited Gio and Outback.

    Later, Emma found Gio celebrating with Outback at the stables, and the two shared their first kiss.

    Jason breaks the news to Michael

    At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Jason remembered Monica’s kindness when he was young. Michael joined him, and Jason had to tell him about Monica’s death. Michael regretted not visiting her that morning with Wiley and Scout. Jason later stayed behind, alone in his grief, missing his mom.

    Anna and Dante see a shocking comeback

    Laura sat down with Anna and Dante, who revealed the evidence linking Drew to the murdered judge. Though they found a Swiss bank transfer in Drew’s safe, laws made it impossible to trace ownership. Anna vowed to confront Drew.

    Later, as Anna and Dante prepared to question Drew, the crash victim from Lulu’s scene was wheeled into the hospital. Lucas rushed forward, shocked at the man’s identity. When Anna and Dante looked at the patient, they were just as stunned.

    Peacock’s new TV and movie releases for September 22-28, 2025, include Brilliant Minds Season 2, Law & Order Season 25, and M3GAN 2.0.

    Brilliant Minds Season 2 comes to Peacock on September 23, 2025, one day after its NBC premiere. This medical drama stars Zachary Quinto as Dr. Oliver Wolf, an eccentric yet gifted neurologist suffering from face blindness. Wolf, whose unique condition gives him special insight into his patients, solves various complex cases with the help of several young interns. Supporting cast members include Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh LaThrop, Alex MacNicoll, and Aury Krebs, among others.

    Also dropping on September 26 is M3GAN 2.0, the sequel to 2022’s hit sci-fi horror M3GAN. As a result, Gemma, M3GAN’s creator, who shut her down in the previous film, resurrects her to take down Amelia.

    Also releasing on Peacock this week is Knock at the Cabin. This gripping apocalyptic psychological horror from M. Night Shyamalan follows a young girl and her two fathers, held hostage at their own home by four mysterious strangers. The strangers demand that the trio make a difficult choice to avert a looming apocalypse.

    Here’s what Jimmy Kimmel said that led to this huge controversy.

    In what is an extremely unusual circumstance for a talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! was pulled off the air hours before its planned airing. This is because of some comments that Kimmel made about Charlie Kirk’s shooting on Monday night.

    In Monday’s opening monologue, Kimmel accused Donald Trump and the “MAGA gang” of trying to “score political points” from Kirk’s death. He emphasized how they blamed the left even before anything was established about the murder.

    “The MAGA gang (is) desperately trying to characterise this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel had said on the show, “In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving.”

    Kimmel has always been a vocal critic of Donald Trump. In this instance, too, he criticized the way the President reacted to the death. Kimmel added, “This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he calls a friend. This is how a four-year-old mourns a goldfish.”

    These remarks angered the conservatives enough and ultimately led to Trump pushing back. This led to the suspension of Kimmel’s show indefinitely. It is unclear if Kimmel will ever return to ABC after this. Sources say that he has other plans lined up and would not return to the network ever.

    This suspension and controversy have also raised bigger questions about freedom of speech in America.

    Few can predict what will go down in the coming years for talk show hosts. But it seems that after Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel, talk show hosts will have to measure their words carefully if they need to stay on air.

    The movie is likely to stream on STARZ, which has an exclusive deal with Lionsgate for streaming their films. While The Long Walk may not be limited to STARZ, it is certainly set to hit the streaming service first before arriving on any other platforms. Both Flight Risk and World of John Wick: Ballerina took over four months to be available for streaming.

    The story of The Long Walk takes place in a dystopian future where a group of teenage boys takes part in an annual stamina event called The Long Walk. The contestants must walk at a minimum speed of 4 miles per hour without stopping, and if they do, they’ll be shot dead. The last one remaining will be awarded “The Prize.”

    The film stars Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Garrett Wareing, and Tut Nyuot, among many others, with Mark Hamill as The Major.
