EmRata Just Wore This $36 Zara Necklace That’ll Sell Out Immediately

    [ad_1]

If you’re anything like me, you have favorite retailers for different categories. For example, I love to buy my sneakers from Shopbop, my denim from Nordstrom, and my T-shirts from H&M. As for Zara, I always make a beeline to the brand’s blazers. However, Emily Ratajkowski just reminded me that I’ve been overlooking Zara’s excellent jewelry section—to my own detriment!

Photographed in New York City, EmRata wore Zara’s Physalis Necklace ($36), which is bound to sell out now that it has her stamp of approval. Scroll down to see how she styled the necklace and shop other pieces of jewelry from Zara, including a glistening choker necklace, pretty pearl earrings, a mixed-metal ring, spiral earrings, and more.

  • If Nordstrom Existed In Italy, These 29 Items Would Be the First to Sell Out

If Nordstrom Existed In Italy, These 29 Items Would Be the First to Sell Out

    [ad_1]

Though I don’t have an ounce of Italian blood in my body, I’ve always been allured by the country, from its architecture and food to, of course, its signature fashion. For all of these reasons and more, I try to visit the country as often as I possibly can (I just traveled to both Milan and the Emilia Romagna region last week) and stay up to date with its residents’ current tastes via the street-style Instagram account @milanesiamilano, giving me a fair understanding of what the chicest people who live there are eyeing, buying, and wearing in 2023.

Because I spend so much time studying Italian style (not to mention cars—I’m personally a Ferrari fan though I wouldn’t say no to an adorable Fiat—coffee, recipes, and more), I often find myself noticing pieces during my everyday scrolls that I think would feel right at home in the country, be it a billowy, cotton midi skirt or a superbly tailored blazer. And since much of my market research is done at Nordstrom, a store that sadly hasn’t broken into the Italian market, I decided that I’d spend my day scouring the entirety of the retailer and picking out items that I believe an Italian woman would buy if it were to open up shop on Milan, Rome, or Florence. See which pieces fit the bill below.

  • This Pretty Summer Aesthetic is Going Viral—33 J.Crew Finds That Embody the Vibe

This Pretty Summer Aesthetic is Going Viral—33 J.Crew Finds That Embody the Vibe

    [ad_1]

Thanks to the lightning-speed power of the internet, it seems like a new “core” or “aesthetic” is coming to the top of everyone’s social media feeds every other day. But amidst it all, there’s one that I’ve seen stand out for quite some time now—mermaid-core. It first caught my attention back in 2021, back when Versace released a runway collection heavily inspired by everything of the under-the-sea variety. (I’m still thinking of the starfish dresses, wet-looking hairstyles, and bejeweled heels.) But thanks to the recent release of Disney’s The Little MermaidI’m not surprised to see another surge of attention fixated on aquatic-inspired style.

While I was always mesmerized by the ethereal aesthetic, I didn’t think it was extremely “wearable.” for my everyday attire. How I could incorporate the aesthetic of a mythological creature seamlessly into my summer style? Well, J.Crew was quick to change my mind. The brand released an edit of “modern mermaid” pieces and it’s safe to say if I had endless money, I would happily click “add to cart” on every single one. The pieces manage to captivate the relaxed and easy look I want for summer while managing to infuse the fun touches of “mermaid-core.” Think seashell jewelry, airy skirts, and sequin skirts galore. Keep scrolling to shop the prettiest summer pieces from J.Crew right now.

  • Zoë Kravitz Wore the Cult-Favorite Flats That Sell Out Every Summer

Zoë Kravitz Wore the Cult-Favorite Flats That Sell Out Every Summer

    [ad_1]

In recent years, Zoë Kravitz, like so many of us, has largely given up on heels, choosing to preserve her feet by prioritizing flat shoe styles that are both comfortable and undeniably chic instead. Mary Janes, ballet flats, thong sandals, and sneakers—if they’re flat and somewhat podiatrist-approved, the actress has probably worn a fashionable version. But her most recent shoe choice might be the best one she’s made yet.

Earlier this week, Kravitz was spotted walking to dinner in New York City alongside actress Margaret Qualley wearing a Canadian tuxedo from The Row with a Saint Laurent bag, The Row x Oliver Peoples sunglasses, and a perfect pair of suede Birkenstock Boston clogs. Known for their comfort and cool shape, the Boston clogs are among fashion’s favorite shoes, causing them to sell out year after year, especially during the summer. Luckily, Kravitz’s exact pair haven’t sold out just yet. Shop the $158 slip-on flats below.

I Just Got Back From London—Brits Surprised Me by Wearing These 6 Things

    [ad_1]

Here’s a fun fact that I absolutely love to share: I used to live in London. Last month, for nostalgia’s sake, I took the Eurostar into one of my favorite cities of all time. While many things remained the same, one thing had changed. The fashionable people looked…different.

In a post-pandemic world, British people seem to have embraced a new level of daring regarding their fashion choices. Amongst the fashion crowd, gone were the predictable floral dresses that I remembered from my college days; instead, the streets were filled with an explosion of unexpected trends and risk-taking fashion statements. I was so inspired, I began to take notes on the fashion lessons that I learned. Below, find 6 surprising things that British people were seen wearing.

The spring/summer 2023 runways held plenty of new ideas. Designers introduced a slew of cool new trends that offered both a look into the future and a nod to the past. With so many trends seemingly happening at once, it can feel impossible to differentiate between what’s more niche and what’s more mainstream. Oftentimes, I prefer to make trend purchases that will last beyond the immediate season, which is why I’ve been thinking a lot about the 2023 trends that will last all year long, not just for this spring. And I’m starting with my favorite topic of all: shoes.

After combing over the runways, my social media feeds, and the market, I’ve landed on the six shoe trends that I’m positive will have a long-term effect on 2023 and beyond. With the engineering boots inspired by the Miu Miu runway and the classic pumps that are currently having a renaissance, consider this list to be your North Star for all things stylish 2023 footwear.

  • This Once-Hated Dress Trend is Suddenly All I Care About

This Once-Hated Dress Trend is Suddenly All I Care About

    [ad_1]

If 2023 has taught me anything thus far, it’s to never say never. At the start of the year, I all of a sudden coming around to the idea of wearing voluminous full skirts, something I would have never been caught dead in before. And now that summer dressing is on my mind, there’s another surprising style bubbling up and it’s making me question everything I thought I knew. All of a sudden, I’m seeing fit-and-flare dresses start to trend and for once, I’m not opposed to the idea of wearing one. In fact, I’ve seen so many chic options that I’ve officially remove them from the list of things that are banned from my closet.

I’ll admit it, I was once a hater of fit-and-flare dresses. The fitted waist and full skirt shape just felt too sweet for my personal style, and yet here I am, writing my apology letter to the style. If you’re wondering But why now? the answer has to do with the new wave of fit-and-flare dresses I’m noticing. Instead of having volume on both the top and bottom, balanced only by a nipped-in waist, the styles on deck for 2023 offer a refined update with a completely fitted bodice and full skirt. Some of the standout dresses even qualify as drop-waist styles, another current favorite of mine. In other words, the styles you’re about to see are streamlined, minimal, and very chic.

Ahead, scroll through to shop the best fit-and-flare dresses of summer 2023 and glean some outfit inspiration along the way.

  • 31 Chic Black Basics Nearly Every Fashion Person Will Be Wearing This Summer

31 Chic Black Basics Nearly Every Fashion Person Will Be Wearing This Summer

    [ad_1]

I may be in the fashion minority here, but I actually get quite tired of bright colors and white dresses in the summer. I’m more than happy to unironically wear an all-black outfit in the middle of July. I’m also more likely to pair colorful pieces with black basics than I am with white ones. I was thrilled to see lots of warm-weather black looks on the spring/summer 2023 runways, and it’s putting me in the mood to refresh my summer basics even more so.

If you’re someone who also likes to wear black in the summer, you’re probably aware that wearing it in full sun when it’s over 90° isn’t optimal. That’s why it’s important to shop for basics that are made of cotton poplin, linen, silk, and lightweight knit. There are plenty of options to choose from right now, so I narrowed them down to only the chicest.

Keep scrolling to shop my picks for the best black basics to prepare your wardrobe for summer.

29 New Nordstrom Finds That Will Sell Out Before Summer Even Arrives

    [ad_1]

Hi, I’m Anna, and I’m a shopping-obsessed editor. (Scratch that—I’m a Nordstrom shopping–obsessed editor.) For as long as I can remember, the retailer has been my go-to source for all things fashion and my first destination whether I’m looking to restock a basic or on the hunt for a trendy buy. And since I spend several hours every week surfing and scrolling the site, I know the best buys like the back of my hand. Yep, I can even predict which items will sell out first. I said obsessed, right?

Seeing as Nordstrom recently dropped a ton of new summer items, you can bet that I’m already all over them. I spent an afternoon going through the new-arrivals section and felt that these just-dropped pieces were simply too good not to share. Between the newly launched It girl–approved brand, a fresh Skims drop, and exciting new Prada shades, I’m betting anything that the 29 buys you’re about to see below will hardly be in stock by the time June rolls around. So armed with this knowledge, I would suggest you shop accordingly.

Are you ready for miniskirt season? If the answer is no, you’d probably love Kaia Gerber’s full midi skirt as a more-than-worthy alternative. But if the answer is a resounding yes, you’re in the right place because Sydney Sweeney just shared the cutest way to style the trend. While at an event celebrating her collaboration with Frankies Bikinis, Sweeney naturally wore pieces from the line, including the Eyelet Top ($165) and the Eyelet Mini Skirt ($135).

With Stagecoach happening this weekend, a lot of people have cowboy boots on the brain right now, so Sweeney’s outfit couldn’t have come at a better time. Her white boots created a cool monochrome outfit that’s absolutely worth copying this spring and summer. • The Wildly Chic Bags You’re About to See Everywhere Are Under $500

The Wildly Chic Bags You’re About to See Everywhere Are Under $500

    [ad_1]

What inspired the design of the bags?

Joni Pangsaeng: When designing this collection, we were inspired by the aesthetic shift that’s happening right now. There is definitely a movement towards a more minimalist, understated energy and investing in key pieces. We focused on creating classic shapes that speak to different facets of the Ref customer’s life and wardrobe. The collection is a mix of ’90s minimalism with a few nods to the early aughts and an overall emphasis on beautiful, high-quality materials.

What are your tips for styling the bags for spring/summer?

JP: The oversized Vittoria is such a great statement bag. We love that big bag shapes are returning. Basically, you can live out of this bag. This silhouette looks great paired with your favorite pair of relaxed pants (like the Mason Pants or Cary Jeans) or maxi denim skirt (Nila Skirt) and a clean white tee for that ’90s minimalist look.

Rosetta is our most versatile bag, a classic hobo shape inspired by the early aughts. We love the idea of pairing a pop-colored bag, like the Mini Rosetta in Heather, with a monochromatic look like this knit set or a denim-on-denim vibe (Val Jeans paired with the Simone Jacket).

Chiara is such a great event bag, the convertibility is definitely a key feature of this style. It can be worn as a shoulder bag or wristlet. Ideal for all your upcoming weddings or just a night on the town, this shape looks perfect paired with a printed dress or pastel look styled back to an optic white bag.

    What’s next for Ref bags?

JP: This is an ongoing category we’ll be offering online and in all our stores long-term. We’re focused on these three core shapes for the near future but will refresh the category on a monthly basis with small drops of new colorways. You can expect a larger drop with new shapes and fabrications in time for fall!

I Work At Revolve—These Soon-to-Be Viral Festival Items Will Sell Out First

    [ad_1]

There’s a few things that always loom over Indio, California while everyone is partying in the desert in April— the scorching sun, for one, and the ubiquitous, unmistakable, inescapable presence of Revolve and their mega-watt star-studded crowd of models, influencers, and celebrities. The retailer has worked tirelessly for years to maintain its cool girl image year-round, but for one weekend in April, it shines ten times brighter than usual (and not just because Revolve’s shiny, sequin-covered mini dresses and metallic cowboy boots are on display.)

Festivals— including Coachella, Revolvefest, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and the like—have become synonymous with Revolve’s ever-growing amount of trend-forward clothing and in-house brands. And it’s not by accident: Revolve’s attire is expertly curated, providing their customers with a fashion-forward experience that practically guarantees them internet virality. “The Revolve customer is always looking for a statement piece that draws attention whether it’s a dress, an earring, a shoe, etc,” Revolve’s Chief Merchandising Officer Lauren Yerkes tells Who What Wear. In a world where social media engagement is currency, having something that will set you apart from the crowd is essential: “We know they are coming to us looking for the latest trends and emerging designers that she can tag on Instagram and share with her friends.”

Enter: Revolve’s 2023 Festival Shop to wear at their flagship music festival taking place April 15 and April 16. If you’re not attending a festival this summer, no worries: the styles are versatile enough to wear to summer parties, picnic dates, or tropical vacations with specialized style edits revolving around colorful knitwear, ’90s minimalism, and double-denim— all 2023 trends that live far beyond this summer’s festival circuit.

Naturally, as a leading force who conceptualizes what items Revolve’s festival shop centers, Yerkes is almost single-handedly instrumental in wearing (and selling out!) this season. At a glance, Yerkes and her team are already predicting some big winners at Revolvefest and Coachella later this month: “We have seen trends change over the years but crochet, mesh, and any sheer elements seem to remain consistent,” she explains. “This year we feel strongly about metallics, western elements, nods to the 90’s, sneakers, and cowboy boots.” We’re sold already.

Below, shop all the items her and the Revolve team are guaranteeing will be all over your #FYP this summer.

Since a part of my job is to take a deep dive through new arrivals on a regular basis, it’s pretty common for me and my fellow editors to get first dibs on a product we can just feel that will sell out. Call it whatever you want—a talent, intuition, or just luck, but I’m deciding to use it to help you figure out what to buy for spring before it’s gone. What can I say? There’s never any gatekeeping here at Who What Wear. And I’ll let you in on a team secret—despite the differing price points, it’s the gems from H&M, J.Crew, and Net-a-Porter that always seem to sell out the quickest.  But no matter your budget, there’s a solid selection of chic buys in this roundup for you.

I’m always the first to recommend taking the time to think intently before you buy, but since time might not be in your favor with these picks, I’m suggesting that you don’t take too long to decide which ones to add to your wardrobe. While other brands may prioritize restocks, these three usually operate in the “first come, first serve” category.
