    1. EastEnders spoilers: Bianca and Reiss clash

Things heat up as Reiss finally arrives home at No.25. He’s been gone a while, and Bianca’s anger has been stewing. Is he ready to face up to her?

He is greeted by Bianca, who is ready to wear him down for a confession.

Things get even worse for him when excited Teddy reveals that his PI friend has CCTV from a warehouse near Debbie’s care home. Could this be the evidence the police need?

Bianca demands to come to see the footage, but Reiss manages to give her the slip and heads to the warehouse with Teddy and watches the footage alone. He’s stunned by what he sees and sneaks out with the flash drive, as angry Teddy tells Bianca that Reiss did a runner.

Storming over to No.25, Bianca bangs on the door, demanding answers from Reiss. He does not answer, and instead locks himself in the house and cowers from Bianca’s loud shouts.

Nothing can stop a determined Bianca and she corners him at the café with Martin and demands answers. Things aren’t sure to go well, however, Bianca is given fresh hope when Teddy hands her the other copy of the footage.

At The Vic, Reiss tells a sneaky lie to Teddy prompting Teddy to admit Bianca has another copy and is about to watch it. Reiss races to No.25, but will he get there in time?

Reiss and Bianca are set to have a huge Bonfire Night showdown, which has huge consequences for them both… is it time to free Sonia?

    2. EastEnders spoilers: Kat’s social battle

Love could be in the air for Kat and Alfie, despite their relentless battle with social services – which are still in full swing.

Kat is nervous ahead of her latest meeting about Tommy, and she continues to blank Stacey and Jean out of anger. Alfie, however, wants to get things back on track. He begs Stacey to call a truce and tells a fib to get Kat to meet the Slaters at The Vic.

When she arrives, Kat is furious to have been tricked, but Alfie gives a truly impassioned Moon-speech, and they finally reconcile.

After Kat tells Alfie she’s grateful, Freddie notes how insane their chemistry is, and Alfie admits he still has feelings for Kat.

At the social services meeting, Kat is devastated by how cold Tommy is towards her and fears they’ll never get their boy back. But the social worker is positive. Alfie even suggests they want him back for Christmas, and shares a moment with Tommy.

The meeting ends positively and back at the flat, grateful Kat surprises Alfie with a kiss. A bit bamboozled, Kat goes to get Stacey’s take on the confusing situation between her and Alfie, while he seeks counsel from Ian and Freddie (as usual).

Could they be getting back together?

    3. Panesars vs Mitchells

The all-out battle between the two Walford families is only progressing. But this week, we feel the consequences for poor Barney.

After a stay with his mum, Barney is back and makes it clear he’s still annoyed with Teddy and Harry. Feeling sad, Teddy makes a plan on how to win Barney around and make him proud to be a Mitchell.

Teddy reveals to Harry that he intends to buy Peggy’s and become a respectable Walford businessman, he hopes this will impress Barney. A nightclub is the way to a 15 year old’s heart, after all…

But he thinks there’s something more and he tasks Harry with finding out what went on when Barney visited their mum.

But Harry is too heavy-handed as usual, and leaves Barney even more isolated and Teddy in despair. They need a united front in the midst of their family battle.

EastEnders spoilers: 4. Harry tricks Jack

Harry is also preoccupied with his latest tirade – against Jack Branning.

Penny is hurt by Jack’s dismissive reaction to the news she’s received her court summons due to the club crush. In response, she asks Harry to help her punish him by turning up the pressure on her dad.

Harry steps up to the task and tells Jack he’s got a job for him. Although Jack angrily declines, Harry reminds him that if he doesn’t collect a stolen motor as instructed, he’ll destroy Jack’s career and put him behind bars.

However, Jack is in a dire situation as he realises that the dodgy job clashes with Amy’s physio appointment.

He decides to be a doting father (for once) and prioritise Amy, but luckily makes it back just in time to do the car job.

Lurking nearby, Harry takes photos of Jack picking up the dodgy motor. Could this be the end of Jack’s career?

He faces danger when back on the Square. Jack is distracted by a text from Harry. He then drives into the back of Reiss’ car, causing damage to the stolen motor…

EastEnders: Chrissie wants Sharon’s support at parole hearing, fans predict

    [ad_1]

Fans of EastEnders think they have worked out Chrissie Watts’ motives for apparently reconciling with one-time daughter-in-law Sharon. The pair met again after Sharon found herself facing a stint in jail after an outburst at Dean Wicks’s trial.

It was there that she met Chrissie again – currently serving time for murdering her husband and Sharon’s dad, Dirty Den. Things were frosty at first, but the pair initially appeared to settle their differences, with Chrissie promising to look out for Sharon.

    What’s Chrissie up to?

However, it quickly became clear that Chrissie is up to something, revealed during a sinister conversation with a fellow inmate afterwards.

But what does Chrissie want from Sharon?

It can’t be a coincidence that Chrissie mentioned her upcoming parole hearing. And surely a good word from the daughter of the man she was imprisoned for killing would put her in good stead with the panel?

EastEnders fans predict ulterior motive for scheming Chrissie

Writing on a Reddit thread as his week’s episodes aired, fans of the soap shared their theories as to what Chrissie might be up to. And many wondered whether she might have an angle.

“Chrissie arranges for Sharon to get slapped around. Chrissie manages the situation and comes to Sharon’s rescue and gaslights Sharon into thinking she has her back. Sharon then gives some sort of positive feedback re: Chrissie’s parole hearing. Chrissie is released with future potentials for a returnj to the Square,” suggested one fan.

“It’s essentially a given isn’t it,” agreed another.

“Just happens to be during the same week Sharon gets banged up,” noted a third.

Could Chrissie be planning to use Sharon to get herself out of prison? And if so, will Sharon fall for her scheme?

  • EastEnders: ‘The Six’ to kill Bernie, a new fan theory predicts

EastEnders: ‘The Six’ to kill Bernie, a new fan theory predicts

    [ad_1]

Fans of EastEnders have predicted that ‘The Six’ could kill Bernie Taylor as her quest to uncover the identity of Keanu’s killer continues. The soap revealed this week that Bernie had been working with Dean to pressure Linda into recanting her testimony.

This she did by plying Linda with booze and sending her a poison pen message suggesting that she knew what she’d done. Horrified, Linda sunk even further into the bottle, embarking upon an almighty bender which almost killed her.

Seeing the damage she’d done, Bernie immediately felt bad – and her regret only worsened when Dean revealed that he had no intention of helping her find Keanu’s real killer, caring not a jot as long as he was off the hook.

Still, nearly killing Linda hasn’t dissuaded her from her investigation. And, as Sharon rushed to get Bernie on side, one fan wondered whether she might be in danger.

EastEnders fans fear for Bernie Taylor’s life

As last night’s episode aired, fans took to X to share a new theory as to where the story – and Bernie – might be headed.

“I bet the scenario with Bernie and the Six will be something out of Desperate Housewives. Bernie will eventually find out that Linda killed Keanu and before she has time to call the cop shop, she’ll die and the Six will have to bury Bernie’s body,” said one fan.

Could Sharon and the other members of ‘The Six’ kill Bernie to cover their tracks?

    Bernie on EastEnders

    Bernie’s on the case

Meanwhile, other fans wondered whether Bernie might be onto Sharon‘s part in the crime due to her sudden kindness.

“Don’t you think that Sharon gifting Bernie a flat won’t make her even more suspicious?”

“Sharon offering to pay Bernie’s rent while she stays with her. I think Bernie is suspicious it’s only going to make her feel determined to find the truth who killed her brother Keanu by agreeing to Sharon’s offer,”

“Bernie knows Sharon’s trying to keep her close. I love #BernieTaylor’s avenger phase,”

Will Bernie’s determination get her killed – or bring down The Six?

  • Debbie’s perfect makeup, Caleb’s whole roast chicken – and everything that made zero sense in soap this week

Debbie’s perfect makeup, Caleb’s whole roast chicken – and everything that made zero sense in soap this week

    [ad_1]

It’s fair to say that soap has seen some very bizarre things happen this week, with Corrie, EastEnders and Emmerdale all giving us something to talk about.

Debbie’s makeup has caused quite the stir for fans of the Walford soap EastEnders, whilst Caleb’s eating habits became the talking point for Emmerdale viewers.

Here’s everything that made absolutely NO sense whatsoever in SoapLand this week!

Fans have turned Debbie into somewhat of an ‘icon’ (Credit: BBC)

    1. Debbie’s flawless makeup

Despite being in a coma, Debbie didn’t let this stop her from serving us with those looks.

Reiss’ comatose wife’s skin was GLOWING, with Easties fans quickly becoming envious of her makeup routine.

We have no idea who was applying her makeup everyday whilst she lay in that bed, but we’re going to miss being amazed by her perfect foundation everyday.

And, this week, even in death, Debbie continued to lie there as still as anything, looking like the model that she is. Respect.

Caleb had a right feast (Credit: ITV)

    2. Caleb’s whole chicken feast

Caleb could be seen enjoy a meal with Ruby in the Woolpack over in Emmerdale this week, after the police quizzed him on the fire at the car sales site.

However, his dinner choice was rather unusual… he could be seen eating a WHOLE chicken, with a side of chips.

Tucking into the chicken with his knife and fork, this pub grub scene was rather bizarre. Caleb must’ve been feeling particularly hungry that day!

EastEnders' Martin is talking to Eve at the market, next to a 40 balloon
Martin is actually only 39 (Credit: BBC)

    3. Martin’s fake 40th birthday party

Honey surprised Martin with a birthday party on the Square in EastEnders this week to celebrate his big 4-0.

Martin was rather taken aback by the celebrations – and who could blame him? He’s actually only 39!

Despite realising that Martin’s actual wasn’t until next year, Honey and co decided to continue with the celebrations. Poor Martin had to fake being 40 for the whole thing!

Emmerdale's Kim is sitting outside of the B&B
Kim had no shame (Credit: ITV)

    4. Kim Tate’s B&B stay

Recently, Kim moved out of HER house at Home Farm and decided to stay at the B&B to stay out of her family’s way – despite having nothing to do with the drink spiking.

This week, viewers were treated to so many scenes of Kim sitting outside of the B&B. Sometimes she was chatting to Lydia, other times she was enjoying an afternoon tea.

In what world would Kim give up the luxuries of Home Farm for the local bed and breakfast? And, then sit outside everyday to make everyone aware of her circumstances?

Jack and Stefan talk on Corrie
Jack just let Stefan into the house (Credit: ITV)

    5. Jack’s lack of stranger danger awareness

On the cobbles this week, Stefan Brent turned up at Abi and Kevin’s house whilst they were out and made out that he was there to speak to Kev about a car hire.

Jack took Stefan’s word for it, not even asking for his name. And, then, when Stefan made out that the milk was off, Jack was the one to leave the house to pick up a fresh bottle.

Yes, he just left a stranger in his house, free to roam around and do whatever (in this case, steal back a burner phone.) Who does that? Did Jack never learn anything about ‘stranger danger?’

Emmerdale's Rose is wearing a black beanie whilst on the phone
Great summer hat that is, Rose! (Credit: ITV)

    6. Rose’s hat choice

Kim and Will found out about Rose’s schemes in Emmerdale and ordered her out of the village for good.

When being dropped off at the side of a country road, Rose could be seen wearing a black beanie – one you would typically wear in winter.

Rose loves to wear a good hat, but wearing this sort of headwear in AUGUST is a bit weird, right? We’ve all got the fans plugged in at home, Rose. Maybe you’d like to do the same?

EastEnders: Anna’s spiking storyline should’ve aired on a different week, fans complain

    [ad_1]

This week on EastEnders, Anna Knight went on a night out with Felix, Gina and Freddie at Peggy’s but the night took a turn when her drink was spiked.

Anna’s storyline aired on the same week as Ian Beale’s big secret reveal though – seeing the return of his ex-wife, Jane.

Now, EastEnders fans have complained that Anna’s storyline has been overshadowed by Ian’s one.

    EastEnders: Anna was spiked

This week, Anna headed to Peggy’s on a night out with Gina, Freddie and Felix. However, her loved ones then became concerned by how drunk she seemed.

Felix then noted that Anna hadn’t actually consumed that much alcohol, fearing that her drink had been spiked.

With Anna nowhere to be seen, they started to search for her and found her in a bad way. They then took her to the hospital.

Gina tried to encourage Anna to report the incident to the police but she didn’t want to. After some persuading though, Anna changed her mind.

EastEnders fans blast soap for overshadowed Anna spiking storyline

With Anna’s spiking incident taking place on the same week as Ian’s secret reveal, fans have now taken to social media to share their upset.

They think that the storyline should’ve aired on a different week so that it could receive the attention it deserves.

One fan said: “It’s a shame Anna’s storyline hasn’t left more of an impact. Spiking is a really important issue to address but it felt like Anna’s scenes were a secondary storyline to the Beales’ little side-quest to the Cotswolds. I know they’re different subject matters, but compare it to Yolande’s assault which was raw, emotional and thought provoking. I wanted a similar effect, where we got to see Anna really come into her own as a character. But instead it all fell flat.”

Another fan replied: “Yeah, they definitely chose the wrong week to do it.”

A third viewer added: “This Anna storyline should have aired another week. It’s less impactful due to Jane returning.”

What’s next for Anna Knight after the spiking?

Last night’s episode (Thursday, July 18), saw Anna open up to George about the drink spiking.

Bobby also found out what had happened but had a certain way with words that ended up offending his girlfriend.

Freddie managed to jump in and support Anna in a way that Bobby couldn’t. But, is Anna starting to question her relationship with Bobby? Is the future looking bleak for the couple?

The son of Pat Butcher and Pete Beale will still be a ‘smooth-talking womaniser.’ Last being seen on the Square in 2014, he’ll still be the lovable rogue fans knew before.

The details of David’s return are yet to be revealed. However, viewers can expect trouble to follow David wherever he goes.

With both Cindy and Ian back in Walford, Ian’s looks set to come face to face with the guy who once had an affair with his wife and almost had him killed. Oh, that’s bound to go down well, isn’t it?!

Michael French speaks out on returning to EastEnders

Speaking about returning to EastEnders ten years after he last filmed on the set, Michael French has shared: “I feel honoured to be asked to reprise the role of David Wicks once again. It may only be a brief visit, but we know from his past that David never fails to create a lot of drama in a very short time.”

The soap’s Executive Producer, Chris Clenshaw also added: “David Wicks is undoubtedly one of EastEnders’ most beloved rogues, and we are thrilled to welcome the talented Michael French back to the legendary role as we lead up to the show’s 40th anniversary. David’s character was never shy of drama during his previous stints, and I can assure you this return will be no different.”

There’s bound to be lots of drama to follow David’s return. But, why exactly will he come back to Walford? And, how will his appearance go down with Cindy and Ian?

  • Here’s why EastEnders is back on form after THAT huge Jane Beale reveal

Here’s why EastEnders is back on form after THAT huge Jane Beale reveal

    [ad_1]

Tonight’s episode of EastEnders (Monday, July 15), saw the soap icon that is Jane Beale make a surprise comeback to our screens as Cindy confronted Ian over his secret.

Cindy followed a mysterious Ian to the Cotswolds and came face to face with Ian’s ex – Jane!

With an episode that had us hooked to our screens, here’s why EastEnders are finally back bringing their A game.

Cindy and Jane came face to face (Credit: BBC)

    EastEnders: Jane Beale’s back!

Easties viewers have been desperate to know who Ian has been sending those mysterious messages to, with Cindy even accusing Ian of having an affair.

Tonight though, fans finally got some answers as Ian headed off to attend a ‘leadership course in Manchester.’ Cindy soon realised that Ian was lying to her and asked George to drive her to the place that Ian was actually going to… all the way in the Cotswolds.

Once arriving at a lovely looking house, Cindy got cold feet. However, George then persuaded her to confront Ian and face the truth.

Ian soon opened the door to an angry Cindy who barged in and found a bottle of wine on the table. She then looked up to see Jane Beale in an iconic EastEnders moment that will now go down in soap history.

Jane’s ‘Hello Cindy, I’m Jane’ will forever be a moment to remember!

EastEnders is back on top – and they’re not messing around

Last Christmas, I, like many EastEnders viewers, were hooked as Linda killed Keanu in The Vic. However, from this moment on, the soap has lost its touch.

With the exception of Yolande’s assault storyline (perfectly executed by Angela Wynter), other storylines have fallen flat. The soap reached such a peak last year, but 2024 hasn’t provided the same effect – until now.

If there’s one thing that EastEnders does best, it’s surprising viewers with a big twist. Or, even better, making that twist a huge comeback.

Jane Beale is an EastEnders icon and Chris Clenshaw knows it – never being afraid to give fans what they want. Already bringing back Cindy, Ian and Peter last year, the Beales are gradually building up to being one of the most prominent families on the Square – as they should be.

And, it all seems very fitting, especially as this year marks ten years since Lucy Beale was killed by Bobby! Suddenly, we’re back in 2014 again, and I’m living for it!

Let’s keep the drama coming! (Credit: BBC)

EastEnders are after the awards – but they must keep it up

This week, EastEnders came out on top at the RadioTimes Soap Awards, bagging seven awards – including that of ‘Best Soap.’

And, on the day that the British Soap Awards have been announced for 2025, Easties have already made a head start in securing points with fans after tonight’s episode.

But, like the big killer twist at Christmas, EastEnders now has to be careful not to let the storyline die out after its peak – with ‘The Six’ storyline no longer being given the attention it should be.

Jane’s back – and viewers are thrilled. So, hopefully the soap can make use of this fan enthusiasm and keep it rolling…

  • Queenie’s Tilly Keeper on condition that affected her sight on set, and rumoured fling with soap co-star

Queenie’s Tilly Keeper on condition that affected her sight on set, and rumoured fling with soap co-star

    [ad_1]

Queenie star Tilly Keeper has made a name for herself in the likes of Netflix phenomenon You, so imagine her discomfort when she was once left unable to see properly while filming a pivotal scene…

Tilly, who previous appeared on EastEnders as Phil Mitchell’s daughter Louise, is now starring in the Channel 4 drama Queenie, based on the bestselling book of the same name.

Here’s everything you need to know about Tilly Keeper from Queenie, her career, and dating rumours.

Tilly has come a long way since Walford! (Credit: Steve Vas/Future Image/Cover Images)

How old is Tilly Keeper? Where is she from?

Tilly Keeper was born on August 16, 1997, in Westminster, London. At the time of writing, she is 26 years old.

At just four years old, Tilly began learning ballet at D&B Academy of Performing Arts before signing for their agency aged seven. She would later become the fifth alumni from the school to appear on EastEnders (another is Lauren Branning actor Jacqueline Jossa!).

Tilly attended Bromley High School, an independent school located in Bickley, Greater London.

Who did Tilly Keeper play in EastEnders?

Tilly portrayed Louise Mitchell, daughter of soap heavyweights Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin) in the BBC soap. She had some huge storylines on the soap.

Memorably, Louise saw red when she discovered her boyfriend and baby daddy Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) was also the father of her stepmum Sharon Watts‘s (Letitia Dean) baby. She exacted her revenge by helping her father and brother Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) kidnap Keanu, leaving him for dead.

Louise left the soap with baby Peggy Mitchell in 2020, believing she would get the blame for Keanu’s murder. However, EastEnders fans know Keanu was in fact still alive. It also wouldn’t be his last time involved in a soap murder plot!

    Tilly Keeper in EastEnders

    Why did she leave EastEnders?

The Sun Online announced in 2019 that Tilly was leaving the show. In a statement, Tilly said: “I have loved playing Louise Mitchell over these past few years, and I feel honoured to have been part of such an iconic show.”

She also added she would “miss my EastEnders family greatly”.

In 2023, Tilly confessed to W Magazine that at the time she had been getting “itchy” to leave.

She said: “I was 18 when I started and I’d just turned 21. All of my friends at university were graduating. I started thinking, ‘Maybe I should be moving on too’.

“It felt like a natural progression. I got the the point where I was ready to work on other things. I was seeing my actor friends getting roles and I was kind of getting a little bit itchy. So it felt like the right time to leave.”

    Who plays Darcy in Queenie?

Tilly stars in new drama Queenie, the Channel 4 adaptation of the award-winning Candice Carty-Williams novel. She plays Darcy, the friend of lead character Queenie (Dionne Brown), a woman struggling after the break up of a long-term relationship.

Queenie is a sharp, honest, funny drama about 25-year-old Jamaican British woman who straddles two cultures, but slots neatly into neither.

In episode one of eight, entitled The Prodigal Granddaughter Returns, Queenie is left shell-shocked when her long-term boyfriend Tom tells her they need a break.

What else has Tilly Keeper been in? What is she doing now?

Last year, Tilly portrayed socialite Lady Phoebe Borehall-Blaxworth in Netflix hit You. Phoebe was part of the wealthy London crowd that serial killer protagonist Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) hides within.

In one terrifying scene, Phoebe attempted to seduce the dangerous Joe – little knowing his good looks disguised an evil personality.

However, Tilly remembers that scene for all the wrong reasons – after falling ill during filming. She told Glamour: “I woke up the morning that we filmed that scene with an optical migraine, so I think I could only see like the left half of Penn’s face as I was filming it!”

Tilly’s other big roles include the TV film Make Me Famous (2020), alongside Tom Brittney and Amanda Abbington.

    Who are her parents?

It turns out that Tilly isn’t the only famous name in the family. In fact, her dad Peter Keeper wrote for satirical comedy Spitting Image.

Peter contributed to the writing of two seasons of the hit show in the 1980s.

Meanwhile Tilly’s mother, Amanda, is a former model. In 2017, Tilly told the Daily Express that her taste in fashion was inspired by her mother. She said: “It’s a lot to do with my mum. She used to model in her younger days and whenever I go shopping, she comes, too.”

    Who is Tilly Keeper dating?

While starring on EastEnders, rumours flew that Tilly was romantically involved with her co-star Shaheen Jafargholi. Shaheen portrayed Shakil Kazemi, brother of Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) on the London-based soap. Shakil was at one point involved in a love triangle with Tilly’s Louise Mitchell and Bex Fowler (Jasmine Armfield).

However, Tilly told OK! Magazine in 2019 that the pair were “just friends”.

It’s a friendship that she maintains to this day. Despite not appearing on screen together since 2019, Tilly supported Shaheen at the March 2024 launch of his BBC Three series Wreck.

Tilly is not rumoured to have dated anyone else, and is believed to be single at the time of writing.

    How tall is she?

According to Tilly’s IMDb profile, she is 5’8″.

That’s the same height as her former on-screen father Steve McFadden.

  • Emotional EastEnders fans divided as Whitney leaves Walford: ‘Worst exit story ever’

Emotional EastEnders fans divided as Whitney leaves Walford: ‘Worst exit story ever’

    [ad_1]

Whitney Dean left EastEnders tonight in an emotional farewell after 16 years. Actress Shona McGarty bowed out of the soap as her character left to move to Wakefield.

She left behind stepmum Bianca, former fiancé Zack and ex best friend Lauren as she and her girls got the bus out of the Square.

But while some fans thought it was ‘perfect’, others declared it the ‘worst exit ever’. So where do you stand?

Britney and Dolly went with Whitney (Credit: BBC)

    Whitney Dean leaves EastEnders

After making up her mind last night (Wednesday May 22) that she was leaving Walford for good, Whitney turned things around pretty darn quick. By tonight’s episode (Thursday May 23) she had sorted somewhere to stay (with brother Ryan), got a school placement for Britney and a whole new social services plan already in place.

Bianca soon announced she was going to move with her. But that all came crashing down when upset Zack revealed Bianca had known about him and Lauren the whole time.

Whitney confronted her stepmum and told her she was no longer welcome to Wakefield. Bianca sobbed and begged for another chance, but Whit remained firm.

Sonia also encouraged her to talk to Lauren before she left. Whit did, but was still not forgiving. She cut all ties, telling her: “You lost a mate.”

Tearful Lauren told her: “Good luck with your new life.” But Whit simply retorted: “Don’t need it.”

Whitney then met with Zack by Peach’s tree. She told him they had never really loved each other enough – that their love and grief for Peach kept them together when it shouldn’t have done. She told him she’d never regret their time together, though, as it gave them Dolly.

Whitney also promised she wouldn’t make it hard for him to see Dolly (because moving to Wakefield isn’t hard!) as she knew he would be a brilliant dad.

Zack bid a tearful goodbye to his daughter and allowed Whitney to leave without a fight, knowing it was what she needed.

After a send-off in The Vic, Whitney, Britney and Dolly walked through the market to rounds of applause from the market traders.

Then they boarded a bus to King’s Cross as Britney asked: “Will we be all right?” Whitney told her: “We’ll figure something, we always do.” Before smiling to herself.

    Fans react to Whitney’s exit

Some fans watching the goodbye scenes felt the whole episode was brilliant.

“Just watched Whitney’s final scene. So poignant and emotional to watch. The perfect way to close what has been an incredible 16 years in Walford for Whitney Dean. Shona McGarty, you were one of the best actors on the show and will be missed hugely,” said one.

Another added: “I’m so emotional. I love Whitney so much. Going to miss her on my screens. I can’t believe I’m tearing up.”

“Whitney’s exit is a brilliant one! Loved every scene (especially with Callum), and the acting felt so real coming from the actors/actresses,” agreed a third.

A fourth said: “Watched tonight’s episode of EastEnders and I got emotional. Thank you Shona for Whitney Dean she will always be the best character in EastEnders. That exit was perfection.”

“Honestly didn’t expect to get so emotional watching tonight’s episode. It really does feel like the end of an era seeing Whitney leave though. Such a nice send off for her, especially loved Britney wearing the same cap Whitney wore when she first arrived,” noted one more.

    ‘Worst exit ever’?

However there were plenty of other EastEnders fans who hated the goodbye.

“I absolutely hate everything about Whitney’s exit except the slideshow and Stacey’s appearance. Shona will be very sorely missed though,” said one.

Another agreed: “I honestly think Whitney’s exit might be right up there with the worst I’ve seen for this show (poor Krushed Kush aside). Meta, cringeworthy and really unjust – why does one selfish woman get hero worshipped whilst the other selfish people who betrayed her get shunned?”

“Worst exit story ever, Whitney deserved better after all the trauma they put her through on this show. Logging out until Christmas, what a disappointment,” said a third.

A fourth added: “Whitney’s ending was so dead. Shona deserved so much better than that!”

EastEnders: Britney dropped a huge bombshell at the wedding

Last night in Walford, Whitney and Zack enjoyed spending time with baby Dolly as Britney returned home with Bianca.

Zack then begged Britney not to ruin things by mentioning his cheating…

It wasn’t long before Zack and Whitney realised that nobody knew that the wedding had been cancelled, deciding to put the event back on.

After Britney listened to Lily talk about Whitney’s previous heartbreaks, Whitney walked down the aisle with baby Dolly.

She then started saying her vows to Zack but Britney couldn’t help but interrupt things, revealing that Zack had slept with Lauren!

EastEnders fans unhappy with timing of Britney revelation

Britney knew about Zack’s cheating as soon as Whitney gave birth to Dolly but chose not to say anything.

Fans have now slammed her for waiting until the actual wedding ceremony to break Whitney’s heart.

One fan said: “Britney… girl. Like? Whitney is up there in a WHITE wedding gown 10 mins after delivering a 5 month old grown baby. BLEEDING and probably stitched up. And like? You waited until right /THEN/ to tell her. Mmmk.”

EastEnders airs Yolande assault and fans declare the episode ‘phenomenal’

    [ad_1]

Yolande Trueman was sexually assaulted by Pastor Clayton in tonight’s EastEnders. We then saw how he has groomed and abused various women over the years.

Fans have been left floored by the “powerful” episode. They have declared it – and Yolande actress Angela Wynter – “phenomenal”.

Pastor Clayton assaults Yolande in EastEnders

The episode began as Yolande was under pressure to get the fundraiser exactly right. She was running around trying to make sure everything was in order, all-the-while fending off barbed comments from the pastor’s wife, Stella.

Patrick didn’t help matters when he lost his temper after seeing Yolande and the pastor at the house together. They ended up having a furious row and Yolande told Patrick not to come to the fundraiser.

However things took a turn when Yolande was preparing something alone in the kitchen at the Community Centre. The fundraiser was in full swing outside and Pastor Clayton came in behind Yolande and locked the kitchen door.

The next thing we saw was Yolande looking petrified as she pulled herself up and Pastor Clayton letting himself out.

As he spoke to the waiting crowds and played the showman, Yolande stood beside him on the stage fighting tears and in complete shock.

After the attack, Yolande eventually managed to rush out. She went home, but upon seeing Patrick had prepared a romantic meal she ran out again. It was a hard watch as Yolande desperately tried to keep her emotions inside.

Finding solace in the laundrette, Yolande was finally able to let her screams and cries come.

Elaine had seen her come in and followed her inside. Yolande confided what had happened explaining Pastor Clayton had “put his hand where it had no business being”.

Elaine was shocked and insisted it was sexual assault. But Yolande refused to report him or tell Patrick as she didn’t want to ever have to talk about her body in that way; it was too personal.

Pastor Clayton is a serial sex offender

Throughout her turmoil, the scenes flashed back to various time points over the years that showed Pastor Clayton has a history of sexual assault.

Several women were seen confessing he had raped them. One went to the church authorities who simply moved him to another parish and told the woman not to say anything else. Another was told by the police the CPS felt there wasn’t enough evidence to charge him.

They all had one thing in common – they were older women, who were told would not be believed because he was a younger man.

Yolande then resolved not to tell anyone else and to put it behind her. “It was just 60 seconds,” she said as she decided to move on.

But can she really forget what happened and move on? Doesn’t she want to see Pastor Clayton punished? And how will this affect her for the rest of her life?

Fans react to Yolande assault scenes in EastEnders

Those watching at home were in awe of the episode. They have praised it’s power and in particular the performance of Angela Wynter, who plays Yolande.

“If you haven’t yet seen today’s episode of EastEnders, be sure to check it out. Angela Wynter’s performance will blow you away. Wow,” said one.

Another added: “Such a heartbreaking brilliantly written episode! Today’s episode oh my goodness poor Yolande.”

“Angela Wynter is incredible though,” said one more.

A fourth wrote: “Not sure I need to rewatch EastEnders again tonight, so I just wanted to say what a performance by Angela Wynter and Harriet Thorpe. Utterly heartbreaking and harrowing storyline for Yolande that’s important to highlight, I just hope that the Pastor does get convicted for his crimes.”

“Angela Wynter and Harriet Thorpe were amazing. What a performance. Heartbreaking. Cried my eyes out. So many people will relate. Well done again EastEnders and all your writers. Most compelling programme for me on TV for a long time,” added a fifth.

Someone else wrote: “Omg this episode is phenomenal EastEnders, 10s across the board.”

And one more said: “Such a powerful episode tonight. Really nice how they flashed back to past women. Someone needs to give the ‘Pastor’ a beating. Also I’m LOVING Elaine and Yolande’s growing friendship.”

    Who plays Johnny Carter now?

EastEnders revealed Johnny was heading back to Walford last year. He will now be played by new actor Charlie Suff, who is the third person to play the role. Sam Strike was the first Johnny, with Ted Reilly being the last actor to star.

Charlie has spoken about his new role: “I’m so delighted to be joining such an iconic programme – EastEnders was always on at my house when I was growing up. Johnny is a complex character who has been through so much, which I can’t wait to explore. I’ve found EastEnders to be the most kind and loving space to work in, and I already feel like one of the family.”

Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Charlie Suff to the role of Johnny Carter. Although we haven’t seen Johnny on The Square in almost five years, his character remains linked to the show and its most iconic venue, The Queen Vic. Since his short time away, the Carter family dynamics have changed significantly, and it’s safe to say that Johnny will be returning to a very different Walford than the one he left.”

    Christmas in EastEnders

Christmas Day saw Linda Carter kill Keanu Taylor. Although she didn’t mean to do it, she was merely acting to stop him strangling Sharon Watts to death, Linda along with Sharon, Kathy Beale, Stacey Slater, Denise Fox and Suki Panesar decided to cover up the crime.

Nish Panesar was also lying unconscious in The Vic after he had tried to attack Suki and Denise had hit him over the head with a bottle. The women – who have become known as The Six – framed Keanu for Nish’s attack. They made out he had fled and disappeared and buried his body under the cafe floor.

Linda has been drinking herself into oblivion as she struggles to cope. Meanwhile, Denise is now hallucinating Keanu. This comes after she dropped her ‘D’ necklace in the grave when she was pushed in during a fight with Stacey. The necklace was buried with Keanu, meaning Denise’s neck is well and truly on the line if he is ever found.
