Want to charge smartphones, tablets, or laptops? The upgrade pick in our guide is all you need. This beast from Anker boasts a 25,000 mAh capacity, has three USB-C ports rated at 100 watts, and can deliver 165 watts to juice multiple devices at once. You also get a handy built-in cable that doubles as a carry strap, a retractable cable, and a small display to see the precise percentage of remaining power, charging rate for each port, and battery temperature and health.

    Shargeek 170 Power Bank

My pursuit of the best portable chargers has led me to test hundreds of power banks, but this might be my favorite. This transparent, prism-shaped device is a real looker, but it’s also feature-packed, with a maximum output of 170 watts and a 24,000-mAh capacity, not to mention tough, with an IP66 rating for water resistance. It will fast charge just about any small gadget, from phones to laptops, and the handy display shows battery life as a percentage, time remaining, and the input or output in watts.

    PicoGo Qi2 MagSafe Power Bank

The handy O-ring on the back of this Qi2 power bank can rotate 360 degrees and stay securely at any angle, so it works well as a stand to prop your phone in portrait or landscape orientation. It’s also pretty slim, with a 5,000 mAh capacity, charges at 15 watts wirelessly, and has a USB-C port that can charge at 20 watts.

    MagGo Power Bank (10K) (Qi2)

The Qi2 wireless charging standard was developed in partnership with Apple and features MagSafe-like magnetic alignment and speedier iPhone charging rates of up to 15 watts. This power bank can also charge other Qi2 devices, like Google’s Pixel 10 series, and existing Qi devices (just more slowly). This compact power bank also has a handy kickstand, a two-way USB-C port, and an LED display that shows remaining power and time to charge. You can attach MagSafe iPhones in portrait or landscape orientation, and it works with Apple’s StandBy mode, making it one of the best MagSafe power banks.

Slimmest of the slim, this magnetic power bank will cling to the back of your iPhone and keep the battery topped off. It is just 0.3 inches thick and weighs in at 112 grams, so you’ll barely notice it’s there. The capacity is 5,000 mAh, so you can expect at least a 50 percent battery boost for most iPhones.

This compact 5,000 mAh power bank slots directly into the bottom of your phone with its built-in rotating USB-C jack. It’s a great way to give your phone a boost, but might not work if you use a thick case.

MagGo Power Bank for Apple Watch

I always forget to take my Apple Watch charger on trips, but this smart power bank has one built-in and it even pops up to charge your Apple Watch in Nightstand mode. It also boasts a 10,000 mAh capacity and has a permanently attached USB-C cable that doubles as a carry loop.

    Baseus

    EnerCore CR11 Power Bank

A built-in retractable cable ensures you are always able to charge your gadgets, and this Baseus charger can deliver up to 67 watts. You get 2.3 feet of USB-C cable when fully extended, but you can pull and stop at shorter lengths, and there’s also a USB-C port. Tap the power button once, and the circular display shows the remaining percentage. Tap it twice to activate low current mode for charging earbuds or smartwatches safely. The 10,000-mAh model that maxes out at 45W is also on sale. There’s an additional 10% off with the coupon.

In space no one can hear you scream… when your phone runs out of battery, but snag this sci-fi styled power bank and you’ll have power for days. There’s a 27,600 mAh model that can go on flights, with three ports and a top output of 240 watts, or there’s an even bigger version at 40,000 mAh. Both models are on sale.

Jackery Explorer 300 Plus, a large grey square battery-shaped device with handle on top, outlets on the front face, and a small screen.

Cute and compact, this portable battery has a fold-out handle, a 288-WH capacity, and weighs 8.3 pounds. It has two USB-C ports (18 W and 100 W), one USB-A (15 W), a car port (120 W), and an AC outlet (300 W, 600 W surge). That’s enough to keep your small gadgets going, and when the power runs out, simply unfurl the book-sized 40-watt solar panel. It took me around 8 hours to charge it from the sun.

Solix C300 DC Portable Power Station

Campers are sure to love this handy portable power station. It has a hefty 90,000 mAh capacity, so it can easily keep your gadgets topped off for a weekend in the wilderness. The pop-up lantern has three brightness settings, there are various ports (including an XT60 input for a 100 W solar panel), and the display shows every charging stat you could want. It is pretty heavy at 6.17 pounds, but the lantern design and handle make it easy to carry, and Anker sells an optional shoulder strap.

Many (or most) of them live on our best budget headphones guide, so now that they’re on sale, they’re even harder to pass up.

Once you’ve perused these sweet deals, make sure and check out our Absolute Best Prime Day deals post and our Amazon Prime Day live blog for tons more Prime Day Big Deal days sales on stuff we’ve vigorously tested.

    Slick Style Meets Solid Substance

    Photograph: Parker Hall

Nothing burst on the scene with some of the coolest earbuds we’ve seen, bringing transparent tech out of the ‘80s and into the now. The Nothing Ear (a) is one of the brand’s best creations, offering solid noise canceling and good sound in a splendidly stylish package, including a transparent charging case that you’ll want to keep out of your pocket to just to show it off to friends and coworkers. The call quality is great, the touch controls are responsive, and everything just works, all spun into a package with much more verve than the price point would suggest.

    Soundcore Life Q30 Wireless

I can’t give the Soundcore Life Q30 a better recommendation than to say that I took them on a transcontinental trip, and they were up to the challenge. The noise canceling can’t match the big boys, but it keeps the drone sounds at bay, while their rich sound punches up films, TV shows, and music to keep you entertained as you float five miles high. The chassis is a bit of a scratch magnet, but they fit comfortably for hours and even come with a case. Soundcore has updated its lineup, but there’s a reason the Life Q30 have stuck around for years.

If you’re new to open earbuds, they keep your ear canals open so you can hear your music without checking out. Having recently become a steward of a mercurial newborn, I’ve found yet another fantastic use for them, letting me catch up on my Lonely Island podcast without neglecting my little one. The Acefit Acefast Air are my favorite pair for the money, which is a great fit for earbuds you can’t wear anytime (say, when the little one is shrieking). They sound great, work well, and fit seamlessly on my ears and in my new dad life.

    The Best Sound, Pound-for-Pound

Soundpeats Capsule 3 Pro Plus, black and gold earbuds with white cushions hovering over a closed black oval-shaped case

    Courtesy of Amazon

We’ve come to depend on Soundpeats, which makes some surprisingly excellent-sounding earbuds at similarly surprising prices. The Soundpeats Capsule3 Pro+ is our favorite yet, mixing a tiny (and crazy-durable) xMEMS speaker with a regular dynamic driver to provide clear and articulate treble, rich and meaty bass, and tons of detail throughout the sound signature. You’ll get extras like high-resolution support via Sony’s LDAC code, solid battery life, and some decent noise canceling, all for well under $100 on sale. I don’t love the touch controls, which are sometimes unresponsive, but for everything else you get, it’s an easy concession.

At $30 regular price, you wouldn’t think the Go Pop ANC could get any cheaper, but darn it if you wouldn’t be dead wrong. This sale won’t change the equation for most budgets, but then again, at just $21, can you afford not to buy these earbuds? These make for a killer gift, especially for a niece or nephew who may lose them quickly. So what do you get for your money? Surprisingly solid sound, a modicum of noise canceling, touch controls that actually work, and even some basic EQ options. That’s a whole lot of action for very little scratch.

  • The Fantastic Sonos Era 100 Reaches Its Lowest Price Yet for Prime Day

    [ad_1]

Amazon Prime Big Deal Days means sweet sales on some of our favorite gear, and as perhaps the best smart speaker we’ve ever tested, the Sonos Era 100 certainly qualifies. This is the lowest price we’ve ever seen for Sonos’ entry-level speaker, so if you’ve been looking to grab one or two of these stylish columns to fill your home’s halls with sound, now’s the time to strike.

Also, be sure and check out our main Absolute Best Prime Day deals post and our Amazon Prime Day live blog for tons of deals across our favorite tested products.

    Courtesy of Sonos

The Era 100 has it all: tons of features, responsive microphones for voice commands, sleek style, and even the great Giancarlo Esposito (or his voice, at least). Best of all for my money is the Era 100’s fantastic sound, offering smooth midrange frequencies, sparkling treble, and punchy bass that’s much more robust than you’d expect for the size (and price).

Of course, there is an elephant in the room. The Sonos app, once the pride of the Sonos empire, has had some major issues of late, including dropping speakers off user networks, among other quirks. That said, Sonos has admitted its failures and worked hard to address user issues, including appointing a new CEO who has spoken frankly on the matter. That work seems to have paid off, as the software and hardware seem to be much more stable for users in recent months.

For my part, the Sonos Era 100 and its pricier sibling, the Era 300, have both been working great on my network for months, providing stalwart connection to go along with their excellent performance. I’ve even recently connected an older Sonos/Ikea Symfonisk Lamp on my network for our newborn baby’s nursery, and all three speakers have been working well in concert.

The setup lets me enjoy all the bounty Sonos has to offer, including features like multi-room connection, prompt voice response, access to nearly any and every music streaming service, and extras like Bluetooth, Spotify Connect, and Apple AirPlay. The Era 100 also provides smooth and meticulously designed touch controls on top of the speaker, and even a line-in input. It all adds up to a slick and seamless smart speaker experience.

Looking for bigger and bolder sound, including Dolby Atmos multi-directional speakers for 3D audio? Check out the Sonos Era 300, which is anoher one of our favorite smart speakers on a great sale right now for $379. Either way you go, you’ll save big on Sonos’ best.

  • I Love This Little Red Light Wand, and It’s on Sale for Prime Day

    [ad_1]

There are a lot of great red-light tools out there. I’d know; I’ve tried several masks over the past year that I’ve been testing red-light therapy masks and LED devices here at WIRED. You can find me testing some kind of red light device almost daily, from soft, flexible masks to even a red-light cap for hair growth. While I’ve mainly tested masks, there’s another handy little gadget I’ve also tried: Solawave’s 4-in-1 Renewal Wand.

Solawave’s wand stands out for a handful of reasons. It lets you target specific areas, rather than just masking your entire face and hoping the right wrinkles vanish; it vibrates and radiates warmth for a massage-like experience; and it’s much more affordable than a full face mask. With Prime Day underway right now, it’s more affordable than ever, letting you snag red light benefits for a little over $100.

    Photograph: Nena Farrell

    Solawave

    4-in-1 Radiant Renewal Wand

Solawave’s wand will take a little more work than just slapping a mask on. You need to hold it (duh) and manually massage your face while you use it, but you’ll only have to do this for three minutes at a time compared to the 10 minutes of a typical face mask. The vibration can feel funny at first, but it makes for a relaxing experience once you get the hang of it. A few different WIRED staffers who tried this wand said they saw positive results with skin tightening, particularly in areas around the eyes. Note that it only has a single 630-nm red-light wavelength.

The wand isn’t the only thing Solawave has on sale. Solawave’s Red Light Therapy Face Mask is also on sale for $227 ($122 off), and is a pretty comfortable, flexible mask. It’s an affordable price point, too, while on sale, but our mask picks have better features and more comfort. But there’s nothing else we recommend like Solawave’s 4-in-1 Renewal Wand.

  • The Best Automatic Litter Box for Most People Is $150 Off Right Now

    [ad_1]

A big part of my job as a pet tech writer is setting up automatic litter boxes and observing my cats, ahem, do their business. It’s not glamorous work, but someone’s gotta do it. After testing over a dozen, I’ve learned that not all are created equal.

I’ve been impressed with all of the automatic litter boxes that I’ve tested from Petkit, but the PuraMax 2 is the litter box that I recommend to most people. (For more Big Deal Days bargains, be sure to consult our guide to the Absolute Best Prime Day Deals for October 2025 and check in on our Prime Day liveblog, where we’re tracking deals and trends all event long.)

    • Photograph: Molly Higgins

    • Photograph: Petkit

It’s the fairest price point for the quality of all I’ve tested. Regularly $500, it’s $150 off right now, making it well below the price point of many comparable models, like the Litter-Robot 4, which is regularly $700.

I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but the PuraMax 2 actually smells good. This box has triple odor control, a sealed waste bin, an odor eliminator attachment that sits in the waste bin, and a citrusy deodorizing spray that goes off after every cleaning and randomly throughout the day to ensure the litter box stays fresh.

The design of the large, forward-facing hole feels familiar to most cats, and both of my cats (including my large 17-pound tabby) took to this litter box easily. When it’s time to refill, the box rotates and the hole faces up to make litter filling easy with no awkward bending or refilling with smaller containers.

When the cat enters the box, their weight is displayed on the front, and the app logs every time it was used, for how long, when the cleaning cycle begins, ends, and when the deodorizing spray was emitted. Owners can also change settings manually via the buttons on the front.

  • This Sonos Soundbar Puts Your TV Speakers to Shame at a Great Prime Day Price

    [ad_1]

Amazon Prime Day comes around but once, or twice, or maybe like three times (?) a year, and it’s a great time to stock up on tech, including grabbing one of the best soundbars you can buy on sale. This Sonos Beam Gen 2 Prime Day soundbar deal certainly qualifies, offering clear and expressive performance and a ton of features for a serious discount during Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days event.

Before you go, don’t forget to check out our Absolute Best Prime Day deals roundup and our Prime Day liveblog for tons more ways to save big.

    Small but Stout

    • Courtesy of Sonos

    • Photograph: Simon Hill

Style meets substance has long been the Sonos ethos, and the Beam Gen 2 exemplifies that brilliantly. You’ll find carefully designed curves, slick touch controls, and a compact chassis that fits on any console and below virtually any TV.

The Beam’s sound quality is among the best in its class, with only Bose’s Smart Soundbar keeping pace. While the Bose bar provides better Dolby Atmos effects thanks to dedicated upfiring drivers, Sonos’ bar offers more low-end muscle and impressive frequency balance, along with some solid virtualized Atmos effects.

As with other Sonos products, the Beam Gen 2 is loaded with networking features, including tons of supported streaming services over Wi-Fi in the Sonos app, third-party connectivity like Apple AirPlay and Spotify Connect, and the ability to connect with other Sonos speakers in surround sound or as part of a multi-room audio system.

The Sonos app has had its issues of late, but Sonos has spent plenty of time and toil fixing it since its relaunch with the Sonos Ace. It has worked fine for me for months, with my Sonos Era 100 and Era 300 standing among the most reliable speakers on my network.

The Beam Gen 2 is also a snap when it comes to connection and usability, connecting to your TV over HDMI eARC for simple control with your TV remote. It’s a highly capable little bar that can grow with your system as needed, and at this price, it’s an easy buy.

  • My Favorite Wi-Fi 7 Mesh Router Is at Its Lowest Price Yet

    [ad_1]

The Prime Big Deal Days are in full swing, but a discount on Netgear’s Orbi 770 Series is not to be missed, since this is the best Wi-Fi 7 mesh for most homes right now. It is easy to set up and use, delivers stable and speedy performance, and provides expansive coverage. If you’re looking to jack up your home Wi-Fi, the Orbi 770 Series is a great way to do it—especially with this Prime Day deal.

On the prowl for tasty discounts? You owe it to yourself to check out our roundup of the Absolute Best Prime Big Deal Day Deals, covering all categories, and our fun and frantic Prime Day liveblog.

    • Photograph: Simon Hill

    • Photograph: Simon Hill

    • Photograph: Simon Hill

For many years, I recommended Asus mesh systems, like the XT8 (also on sale right now), because they perform well, include free security and parental controls, and allow for deep configuration. The XT8 is still my pick of Wi-Fi 6 mesh systems, but Asus has failed to impress with Wi-Fi 7, releasing mesh routers with flaky firmware. They are slowly improving, but in the meantime, Netgear stepped into the breach with excellent Wi-Fi 7 systems.

Netgear’s premium pricing used to put me off, but it has started to offer more affordable mesh routers, and the Orbi 770 Series is the sweet spot in the lineup for most folks. Refreshingly easy and impressively stable, this tri-band mesh offers three bands (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz) as a unified network that’s available for devices and as backhaul (traffic between the main router and satellites). You can expect very fast speeds at short range but also wide coverage for more than 100 devices.

A 2-pack of the Netgear Orbi 770 Series will likely be enough for most homes, and easily delivered in my modern 1,600-square-foot house, extending a strong Wi-Fi signal into my backyard. However, after moving into an old Victorian house with thick walls, I had to switch up to three. Luckily, the 3-pack is also on sale.

Handling four simultaneous movie streams and online gaming sessions with apparent ease, the Netgear Orbi 770 is easy to recommend. The accessible app shows connected devices, allows you to set up a guest network or IoT network, and offers a handful of analytical tools. The main router has a 2.5 Gbps WAN and three 2.5 Gbps LAN ports, while the satellites make do with two 2.5 Gbps LAN ports apiece.

The subscriptions are a bit of a catch with this system. Netgear Armor is feature-packed security software that includes Bitdefender Security and VPN service, but it’s only free for 30 days, then $40 for the first year, and $100 a year after. Basic parental controls are free, but to set limits, track website and app usage, apply age-appropriate filters, and set bedtimes, you must subscribe to Smart Parental Controls for $8 a month or $70 a year after the 30-day trial. You can live without these, but they’re nice to have.

While a cheaper Wi-Fi 6 mesh will still serve most homes well, snagging the Orbi 770 enables you to tick off Wi-Fi worries for the next few years. It is a supremely slick, set-and-forget mesh that’s robust, reliable, and rangey. And this Prime Day deal is the cheapest I’ve seen this system so far.

  • The Ninja Slushi Regularly Sells Out—Prime Day Brings Its Cheapest-Ever Price

    [ad_1]

The Ninja Slushi doesn’t go on sale often. Why would it? Throughout this year and last, the real story behind the Ninja Slushi was that you couldn’t find the dang thing in stock.

What a difference a season makes: Now it’s $50 off list price on an early Prime Day deal. This is the best (and kinda the only) actual deal I’ve seen on the Ninja Slushi. It’s among the most exciting and surprising early Prime Day deals, but check out our rundown for more.

    Courtesy of Ninja

I received a Ninja Slushi to test at the beginning of summer, and it changed my year a lot more than I expected. The Slushi has been an unbridled hit since it first came out (then promptly sold out) last year. It’s a feat of engineering that brought the bar slushie machine into the American home kitchen and onto the American home patio.

I tested the Slushi against a couple new competitors, and the Ninja still reigned supreme. But I still didn’t expect to use it as much as I did.

Just like my favorite soda maker, the Drinkmate Omnifizz ($133), the Slushi offered the chance to try pretty much every drink you already like … a different way. Orange juice slushie, cold-brew slushie latte, mimosa slushie, frosé all day, daiquiri slushie, negroni slushie, and tamarind michelada slushie. Fruity-sour craft beers slush like champions, it turns out, as do sweetly cheap wines from Grocery Outlet.

I am apparently still a child, plus alcohol, is what I learned. I even nurtured by inner fraternity bro by making slushies from Bapple and Mike’s Hard Mango Lemonade. Both, by dint of being Very Cold and Very Sweet, were also trashily delicious.

Attempts at soft serve ice cream or milkshakes didn’t really pan out, alas—you want a Ninja Swirl for that. But I dutifully lugged this thing to barbecues and to parties full of children—where the slushie machine was quickly commandeered for wholesome lemon-lime, strawberry, or orange-vanilla slush.

Heck, I was named an honorary uncle to a tot and tween just for bringing this thing to a birthday party, and presumably bringing it again for the next one: You’ve gotta keep at least one slushie machine in the family, seems to be the idea. I can’t help but agree.

This is the best iPad on the market. The 2025 Apple iPad (A16) is cute and comes in a few different colors in your choice of 128-, 256-, or 512-gigabyte storage. It has a modern design, USB-C charging, Touch ID, and two 12-MP cameras. It’s powerful enough for most people, and it doesn’t have support for Apple Intelligence (which may be a blessing or a curse). If you primarily use your tablet to watch videos, play mobile games, or do light work, it’ll be just fine (and you won’t overpay for features you aren’t using). One thing to note is that it only supports the first-generation or USB-C Apple Pencil. Check our guide to the Best iPad Accessories for additional picks.

    Amazon

    Kindle Scribe (2024)

Full disclosure: A new Kindle Scribe is coming, but we still think this is worth buying. The Kindle Scribe is our favorite e-reader for taking notes. It works well as a digital notebook and as a way to read your favorite books. With a generous 10-inch display and a Premium Pen (with a soft-tipped eraser on the end) included, you can use it to plan, journal, or annotate. There are some AI software features like note summarization, too. We do wish it was waterproof, or that it had some color features like the new model will, but if you’re in the market for something like it, it’s worth considering. There’s a chance it will get slightly cheaper when Prime Day actually arrives, but it likely won’t be by much—especially considering this is a match of the lowest price we’ve tracked.

This smart ring is our favorite without a subscription. Importantly, due to a ruling by the FTC, these rings will no longer be available for purchase in the US after October 21 (though Ultrahuman says existing rings will still be supported). If you have been eyeing one, this deal is a match of the best we have tracked so far. The Ring Air can track your heart rate, blood oxygen, physical activity, and sleep, and it’ll offer insights about changes in your heart rate variability or skin temperature. There are some additional convenient features like a smart alarm that’ll wake you up during a lighter part of your sleep cycle, too.

Baratza Encore Coffee Grinder for $120 ($30 off)

    Baratza Encore electric coffee grinder

    Courtesy of Amazon

    Baratza

    Encore Burr Grinder

WIRED has devoted a lot of time to thinking about and analyzing the best coffee grinders—because frankly, the quality of the grind is every bit as important to determining how your coffee tastes as the machine you use to brew. What we keep discovering is that Baratza’s entry-level Encore grinder series performs shockingly well for its price range. At a $120 Prime Day deal, it’s punching far, far above its weight. Note this grinder is for drip, French Press and AeroPress. For espresso, you’ll want the Baratza Encore ESP ($200).

  • You Can Get Lenovo’s Gaming Handheld for $120 Off Right Now

    [ad_1]

Excited by the fervor of new gaming handhelds hitting the market but don’t want to shell out the big bucks? The Legion Go S with SteamOS installed offers an easy entry into the space, is great for occasional travelers and couch gamers, and is marked down by $120 at Best Buy.

    Photograph: Julian Chokkattu

    Lenovo

    Legion Go S (SteamOS)

Having spent time with both the SteamOS and Windows models, I prefer the one running Valve’s custom handheld software. While Lenovo does a good job bridging the gap with extra buttons and control options, trying to use a desktop operating system with just a controller and touchscreen can often be a frustrating experience. With SteamOS, you turn on the device, scan a QR code with your phone, and within minutes you’re downloading your games and save files from the cloud.

This Legion Go S is fairly bulky, which I actually found more comfortable than slimmer options. It has built-in controller grips, and a spacious button layout, plus triggers and bumpers that are luxurious and well-placed. The screen is nice and bright, and features a 120-Hz refresh rate, although it’s an IPS panel instead of the OLEDs we’re starting to see elsewhere. This model comes with 1 TB of storage and 32 GB of memory, plus a MicroSD card slot if you want to really load up on games.

Like with most of the non-Nintendo gaming handhelds, you’ll probably need to tweak settings or even resolution to get the latest games running smoothly. I did find it more powerful than my aging Steam Deck, and in games like Vampire Survivors and Trackmania 2020, the kinds of games I often play on the go, it had no problem and required very little tweaking. A lot of that is thanks to the SteamOS support, which helps games automatically understand the device’s capabilities better than Windows often does with custom hardware.

I’ve got the new Legion 2 in hand and am working on a full review, but know that it’s a larger and more expensive device and also runs Windows out of the box. If you’re looking for a more compact device and plan on using SteamOS for your gaming, this is a solid deal on a capable handheld.

  • My Favorite All-in-One Printer and Scanner Is $50 Off

    [ad_1]

While a printer upgrade might not sound like the most exciting way to spend your hard-earned dollars, the right machine can save you a ton of time and money. My favorite all-in-one printer and scanner, the Epson EcoTank ET-2980, is marked down by $50 on Amazon. It has all the features most home users will need, even daily printers, and is a much better value than ink cartridge, and even some laser printers.

    Photograph: Brad Bourque

In my testing, the Epson EcoTank ET-2980 was my favorite printer that included a scanner. I’ve continued to use the EcoTank long-term for the past few months, and I’ve been consistently impressed with the reliability and excellent print quality. I’ve printed photos, flyers for garage sales, and order invoices for my side business selling TCG cards, and everything has come out pristine and detailed. It was surprisingly easy to set up, with ink bottles that don’t drip or leave stains, and very little initial configuration.

While it may seem like a steep price for a new printer, the ink tanks make a huge difference when it comes to value. Epson includes enough ink in the box for thousands of pages, enough for the average home to print for years, and even if you do need more, the replacement ink is much cheaper than cartridges. In my quick and dirty estimates, you’ll generally break even on the more expensive Epson in just two rounds of cartridge replacements, depending on the brand. You’ll also sidestep concerns about subscription plans or first-party limitations.

There are really only two drawbacks to the ET-2980, and they’re both pretty minor. The first is, like any ink tank printer, it would really prefer to stay put. You can secure the parts for moving it, and I’ve had no issues swapping it from one desk to another, or moving it between rooms, but you’ll want to avoid tilting it or leaving it at an angle for too long, lest you end up with a mess on your hands. The other drawback is the paper tray, which has a solid path and good sensing for alignment, but only holds about 100 regular pages, or less than 20 envelopes.

  • Amazon’s 2 Best-Selling Espresso Machines are on Sale Before Prime Day

    [ad_1]

Hi. it turns out Prime Day is only really a suggestion on the calendar. A lot of brands like to kick out early Prime Day deals before getting lost in the big din of Prime Big Deal Days on October 7-8. (See here for early Prime Day deals on laptops, earbuds, and more.)

The two most popular espresso machines on Earth—as judged by Amazon sales, anyway–are both on sale for $100 off this week, ahead of Amazon Prime Day’s October reprise. These are a couple of the best early Prime Day Deals.

$100 off Ninja Luxe Cafe Premier Before Prime Day

    • Photograph: Tyler Shane

    • Photograph: Tyler Shane

    • Photograph: Tyler Shane

    Ninja

Luxe Cafe Premier Series Espresso Machine

The most exciting deal of the pair is probably the Ninja Luxe Cafe Premier ($500), on sale for the lowest price we’ve ever seen it.

When Ninja announced it was jumping into the semiautomatic espresso market, I didn’t know quite what to make of it. But Ninja seems to have applied its general flair for multipurpose machines to this beautifully beginner-friendly espresso machine with a 25-setting conical burr grinder, a built-in scale (thank you), and options for cold brew and drip coffee.

WIRED contributing reviewer Tyler Shane was likewise skeptical of Ninja’s first espresso device when it arrived but ended up loving the excellent milk steaming and the fact that this Ninja grinds espresso shots by weight. (Why doesn’t everybody?) She also appreciated the reasonable price—a price that’s even more reasonable ahead of Prime Day.

    $100 off Breville Barista Express

    Breville Barista Express

    Courtesy of Breville

Breville’s Barista Express ($600) semiautomatic espresso machine has been Amazon’s best-selling espresso machine for years—so long it’s hard to remember a time when it wasn’t the top-selling pick.

Why’s it so popular? It’s a Goldilocks thing—a mix of accessible price, Breville’s excellent reputation for customer service on high-ticket items, and beautiful ease of use on a semiautomatic machine with a built-in grinder that makes full-flavored, well-extracted espresso. This $100 discount isn’t quite the lowest price we’ve seen on it—it’s been down to $550 before—but it’s a very good price.

And besides, this Breville has the merit of being a tried-and-true machine. WIRED reviewer Julian Chokkattu has been pulling shots from his Barista Express for six years now, and it’s still going strong. No wonder the Express has been among WIRED’s top espresso machine picks for ages.

This is a great deal on our favorite outdoor security camera, and you can get in on it right before porch pirate season. The Arlo Pro 5 has clear footage, fast live-feed load times, and smart notifications. Recording at up to 2K resolution with HDR, it won’t struggle in low light thanks to night vision, and there’s also a color mode. Two-way audio is clear, and there’s a built-in siren too.

If you have been eyeing one, this deal is a match of the best we have tracked so far. The Ring Air can track your heart rate, blood oxygen, physical activity, and sleep, and it’ll offer insights about changes in your heart rate variability or skin temperature. This deal comes within $20 of the lowest price we’ve tracked for the best iPad on the market.

They pack excellent sound and good noise cancellation, and they’re downright easy to use. The battery lasts about five and a half hours if you’ve got active noise cancellation on. They also pair easily with both Android and iOS devices. This deal comes within $10 of the best discount we’ve tracked.

The Nimble Champ (Series 2) is the best power bank lineup you can buy, and right now a few different capacities are on sale. They don’t drop in price very often. Every iteration is small and lightweight, with fast charging speeds (that vary from 15 watts to 65, depending on the size) and a durable finish. Nimble’s power banks are made with bioplastics and have minimal packaging, which helps lessen the environmental impact. They’re also nice to look at.

    MagGo Power Bank (10K) (Qi2)

You can attach MagSafe iPhones or Qi2 phones in landscape or portrait orientation. It’s not the beefiest power bank in the world, offering about one and a half charges for newer phones, but it’ll definitely come in handy if you just need a quick top-off while on the go—especially since you won’t need to bring your own cable.

  • The cookbook inspired by Gordon Ramsay is here – get it and the pans he uses

    [ad_1]

When you think of Gordon Ramsay, chances are you can hear his voice in your head, yelling about food that’s undercooked, overdone or just looks a mess. Chefs fear him, TV viewers love him and home cooks can’t get enough of his recipes. You can join the fan club, or add to your collection of Gordon Ramsay cookbooks with his newest release, “Idiot Sandwich”. Yes, you probably remember exactly where this iconic line is from, and if not, it’s worth a watch

The collection of recipes comes straight from Ramsay himself, as well as FoodTok chefs and YouTube stars. There are more than 100 delicious, unique sandwich recipes, from the Grilled Eggplant Caponata to the Cinnamon Apple Grilled Cheese and a full English breakfast sandwich. Each recipe blends international flavors, giving you new, exciting dishes to try. You’ll also find a carefully crafted outline of pantry essentials, necessary equipment and everything else you need to make the best sandwiches of your life.

Must-have HexClad pots, pans and more

HexClad pans are Gordon Ramsay’s signature pans that are all made with a hybrid technology that combines stainless steel and nonstick pans. (Fox is an investor in HexClad) The effect? A stunning, highly durable surface that food won’t stick to. Plus, it’s easy to clean and makes for the perfect sear.

    Original price: $999

Revamp your entire kitchen with a 12-piece pots and pans set.

Revamp your entire kitchen with a 12-piece pots and pans set. (HexClad)

If you want to completely overhaul your pot and pan setup, this 12-piece HexClad set is currently on sale. Every pot and pan has HexClad’s classic hybrid technology that gives you the perfect sear, whether you’re making a grilled cheese or cooking a steak. The set includes three different sized pots, three different sized pans and lids for all of them.

For a fraction of the cost, you can also go with an 11-piece set of stainless steel pots and pans from Cuisinart. They’re dishwasher and over safe, plus they have cool-touch handles that keep your hands safe when you’re cooking.

8 KITCHEN GADGETS TO TAKE YOUR COOKING TO THE NEXT LEVEL

    Original price: $532

Replace your outdated pots and pans with this set.

Replace your outdated pots and pans with this set.  (HexClad)

Not ready to fully invest in everything HexClad? You can still get a good taste of what they offer with the six-piece hybrid fry pan set. This set includes three different sized fry pans (an eight, 10 and 12-inch) and their corresponding lids. They’re metal utensil- and dishwasher-safe, making cleanup a breeze, no matter what you’re cooking.

Avoid splatter with a high-side saute pan.

Avoid splatter with a high-side saute pan.  (HexClad)

Whether you’re making a pasta sauce or cooking up the ingredients that go in one of the sandwiches in “Idiot Sandwich”, a saute pan is always good to have on hand. The HexClad 5.5-quart saute pan is a good all-around pan with high edges that help you avoid splatter. It has the same hybrid technology as all the other HexClad pans, and the handle stays cool, eliminating potential burns while cooking.

5 KITCHEN APPLIANCES TO HELP YOU GET DINNER OUT FASTER

A HexClad saucepan is the right size for sauces, veggies and more.

A HexClad saucepan is the right size for sauces, veggies and more.  (HexClad)

HexClad’s hybrid saucepan and lid set is a great little pan to have on hand for crafting the perfect sauces. It heats up quickly but has a stay-cool handle for easy cooking. With the same hybrid tech HexClad offers, you can also deep-fry veggies and prepare soups.

Get a beautiful knife that’s easy to use.

Get a beautiful knife that’s easy to use.  (HexClad)

As its name implies, the HexClad damascus steel utility knife does it all. The knife combines Japanese knife-making techniques with German engineering principles to make for an ultra-durable knife. It’s smaller than a classic chef’s knife, so it’s great for everyday prep, from cutting veggies to cutting sandwiches. The green Pakkawood handle is a real beauty and is infused with resin to increase its resistance to cracks.

For a more affordable alternative, you can get a Japanese-style chef’s knife on Amazon. The high-carbon stainless steel blade is sharp enough to cut through anything, and you get a brown Pakkawood handle that’s reminiscent of the HexClad utility knife.

The top pocket snaps shut and fits a standard-sized phone. There are also extra-wide waist pockets that can fit a variety of cooking utensils, from a bench scraper to tasting spoons. You can choose from 15 different colors or unique patterns.

Recipes to try from “Idiot Sandwich”

To give you a taste of what’s in Gordon Ramsay’s new cookbook, here are some unique, delicious recipes straight from the book.

    Full English breakfast sandwich

The English breakfast sandwich you love, hold the black pudding.

The English breakfast sandwich you love, hold the black pudding. (Idiot Sandwich)

As an ode to Ramsay himself, the full English breakfast sandwich is everything you love about the classic English breakfast between two slices of bread. Although it’s missing the black pudding, it has delicious baked beans, a roasted tomato smear, mushrooms and savory bangers topped with two eggs.

    Italian beef

Take your classic Italian beef sandwich up a notch.

Take your classic Italian beef sandwich up a notch. (Idiot Sandwich)

Italian beef has been a staple in Chicago since the early 1900s and has since become a favorite all over the country. While there are quite a few variations, the sandwich generally includes thinly sliced beef on a hoagie roll with veggies, typically peppers. This version specifically calls for a red pepper pistou, which is a cold sauce made from roasted red bell peppers, oregano leaves, Parmesan cheese and olive oil.

    PB&J stuffed toast

Imagine your typical peanut butter sandwich – but with peanut butter on the outside.

Imagine your typical peanut butter sandwich – but with peanut butter on the outside. (Idiot Sandwich)

Talk about taking a classic PB&J up a notch, this recipe makes it truly a decadent delight. The brioche bread is slathered in peanut butter and honey on the outside, then caramelized. Inside features strawberry jam (or any jam flavor of your choosing) and more peanut butter. Adventurous eaters could also add bananas or marshmallows!

    Turkey breakfast club

This turkey club is re-imagined into a breakfast option.

This turkey club is re-imagined into a breakfast option.  (Idiot Sandwich)

The Turkey breakfast club includes a chile fried egg on a croissant instead of boring old bread. Throw everything else you’d normally see on a club sandwich (turkey, bacon, tomatoes and lettuce), and you’ll have a delicious sandwich you want to eat over and over again.

If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can get “Idiot Sandwich” sent to your door ASAP. You can join or start a 30-day free trial to start your shopping today.

  • The Apple Watch Series 10 Is $170 Off

    [ad_1]

While the Apple devout are already chasing the new Apple Watch Series 11, you and I know that a product announcements means great deals on the previous generation. You can snag a Series 10 Apple Watch with GPS and cellular data (8/10, WIRED Recommends) for just $329 from Amazon. As long as you’re OK with the 42 mm in rose gold, you’ll get one of the more premium Series 10 models.

    • Photograph: Adrienne So

    • Photograph: Julian Chokkattu

    • Photograph: Adrienne So

The Series 10 version of the Apple Watch had a number of major improvements to key areas over the previous generation. The biggest change was the display, which is bigger and brighter with better off-angle viewing. Our reviewer Adrienne So noted that people actually asked her about the watch after seeing the more vivid faces. Despite the larger screen, this generation slims down in several dimensions, as well as cutting some weight, for an overall more comfortable experience.

If you’re a swimmer, or just like spending time by the pool, there are new water features. A temperature sensor can tell you how cold the lake is before you dive in, and a tides app can help you figure out the best time to paddle out. It all pairs nicely with Apple’s other health monitoring features, which can track fitness across a variety of activities as well as monitor your sleep.

While the battery life is basically the same as the Series 9, Apple made some improvements to the charging. We were able to fully charge the watch via the new fast charger in just about 20 minutes, which means you can use it for sleep, and then have it ready to go for your day while you get ready.

You could certainly spend more and get the newly announced Apple Watch Series 11 (9/10, WIRED Review) with better battery, and the return of the blood oxygen sensor, but if cellular is a key feature, you’ll save some bucks grabbing the older model. While the Apple Watch is one of our favorite smartwatches, it’s for iPhone users only, so Android owners will want to check out our roundup for alternative options.

  • Lenovo’s Latest Gaming Laptop Is $200 Off Right Now

    [ad_1]

Looking for a new gaming laptop but can’t stand the edgy gamer aesthetic? You might check out the Lenovo Legion 7i Gen 10 (7/10, WIRED Review) in a sleek, all-white look. Best Buy is offering $220 off the list price of this attractive gaming laptop, bringing the price down to just $1,650. It boasts an excellent screen.

    • Photograph: Luke Larsen

    • Photograph: Luke Larsen

    • Photograph: Luke Larsen

    • Photograph: Luke Larsen

    Lenovo

    Legion 7i Gen 10 (16 Inch, Intel)

The biggest selling point, and one of our reviewer Luke Larsen’s favorite features, is the big, beautiful OLED panel. This 2,560 x 1,600 screen is one of the most color accurate laptop screens to date, and has a huge peak brightness of 1,000 nits, and 486 nits in SDR, which beats most other panels by over 150 nits. Our review unit had a 240-Hz panel, but that model isn’t currently listed for the non-Pro Legion 7i, so this machine has a very similar 165-Hz screen.

It’s powered by an RTX 5060, which is importantly the more powerful 115-watt version, as opposed to the cheaper 85-watt variant that some gaming laptops use to cut down on costs. The performance is a good match for the screen, with Cyberpunk 2077 running at 67 fps with Ray Tracing set to low at native resolution. Lowering the quality or the resolution can easily push you to 200-plus fps in games like Marvel Rivals, perfect for a quick round on your lunch break.

Of course, the battery life is going to suffer a little bit as a result of the higher-power GPU. We got less than five hours in a video playback test, so you’ll want to make sure you’re nearby an outlet, especially if you plan on gaming between classes. Thankfully it has an excellent trackpad and keyboard, with a firm press and solid 1.6-mm travel for the size, and it even squeezes in full-size arrow keys and a numpad.

The biggest thing holding back the Legion 7i is the price, with other lower-wattage RTX 5060 laptops coming in closer to $1,000. A healthy discount here makes this a much more appealing buy, especially if you like to watch movies or want to game at higher refresh rates without spending way more on a gaming laptop with a higher-end GPU.

It’s September 29, the day that America celebrates its least guilty vice and addiction, known in the streets as “java” or “joe.” That’s right, it’s National Coffee Day—the day that thousands of people burn $2 worth of gas waiting in a drive-thru to get a free $2 cup of coffee from Dunkin‘.

Or how about this instead? Get free or cheap coffee without leaving your house, like a civilized person in the age of the internet. Take advantage of online coffee subscription deals instead.

WIRED has long considered delivery coffee subscriptions to be the promise of technology fulfilled: The best coffee, from all over the country and world, gets scooted to your door without you lifting more than a finger. Anyway, three of WIRED’s absolute favorite coffee subscriptions are offering big introductory deals for National Coffee Day 2025, so it’s a good day to discover the joys of always having good coffee.

Here are National Coffee Day deals on Atlas Coffee Club, Trade Coffee, and Podium Coffee. Each is 50 percent off for the holiday.

    Coffee Subscription

Atlas is WIRED’s favorite overall coffee subscription for multiple very good reasons. It roasts very good coffee. It also offers reliable, friendly, and swift service—a simple necessity when conducting long-distance relationships over the web. But especially, it offers single-origin coffee from a different country each month, letting you try coffee with flavors you likely haven’t tried before. Arabica coffee from Vietnam, or coffee grown in multiple regions of China or India. It’s cool. It’s kinda what you want showing up at your door, and you can choose your favorite roast level to suit the kind of person you are.

Anyway, Atlas Coffee Club deals are going big for National Coffee Day.

Between September 29 and October 1, 2025, enter the Atlas Coffee promo code FREECOFFEE to get the following discounts and freebies:

If Atlas is our favorite single-origin roaster subscription, Trade Coffee is your ticket to coffee from everywhere—the best and broadest selection of coffee from the best coffee roasters all over the country. I like Trade, especially, as a great way to find roasters I would have never tried, whether chocolatey roasts from Canton, Georgia, or big funky, fruity, light roasts from Portland, Oregon.

And so a Trade Coffee deal is always welcome. On National Coffee Day, Trade Coffee is offering half off a one-month trial subscription.

    Coffee Subscription

Podium Coffee Club is yet another vision of coffee subscription, and also among my favorites. The name says it all: It’s a coffee subscription devoted to only award-winning coffees that have been judged among the best in the country and world in large and credible competitions. Podium picks just one wonderful coffee to send you each month, depending on whether you asked for the Gold or the Platinum subscription.

The Podium Gold subscription is generally very balanced, classic, excellent coffee beans. The Podium Platinum subscription, in part, raises its standards for how prestigious an award a coffee might need to be included. But also, the Platinum picks are often rare, funky, interesting, or just different—coffee that changes your mind about what coffee’s supposed to taste like. Either way, lucky you, it’s cheap today with an exclusive code from WIRED.

Enter the Podium Coffee Club promo code WIREDNTNLCFF50 for half off your first month’s subscription.
