  • Florence Pugh Wore the Opposite of Travel Shoes to the Train Station in Paris

Florence Pugh Wore the Opposite of Travel Shoes to the Train Station in Paris

    [ad_1]

Florence Pugh appears to have a favorite category of shoes right now, and it’s Valentino’s towering platforms. She’s not alone in this, as the brand’s Tan-Go heels have been very popular among celebrities since their release. Pugh has worn some sort of Valentino platform shoes to nearly every red carpet event that she’s attended recently, and now she’s wearing them to a less expected place: the train station.

The shoes, which add nearly five inches of height, may look amazing and cool but they’re not exactly a practical choice for a travel day. Pugh’s outfit for a train trip out of Paris consisted of an oversized leather jacket, white tank top, baggy trousers, and yes, the massively high Valentino platforms.

There’s no denying that Pugh’s outfit is great for travel. The shoes, not so much. I personally can’t fathom wearing platform shoes for a travel day, but Pugh has shown that she’s game to wear controversial items to the airport, so why not the train station?

Scroll to shop Pugh’s “travel” shoes and a few other pairs that make a bit more sense for the train station (or airport).

J.Lo’s $69 Hot-Pink Bra Made Me Want to Wear Bras Again

    [ad_1]

Less than a month after Jennifer Lopez posted on Instagram in an electric blue lingerie set from the Italian intimates brand Intimissimi, she’s done it again—and this time, her post came with a big announcement. As of Monday, the singer and actress is the brand’s newest global ambassador, which means this probably won’t be the last time we she shares her current favorite lingerie picks. Lucky us.

The news of her partnership with Intimissimi broke alongside the brand’s spring/summer 2023 collection, modeled entirely on J.Lo herself. And while every image from the campaign is more gorgeous than the last, a handful that show Lopez in a $69 hot pink, lace bra made me especially convinced to pull out my credit card. In fact, her balconette bra had me rethinking everything I thought I knew about my lingerie preferences, which up until this point, didn’t include bras at all. But leave it to J.Lo to sway me in the way of perhaps giving the style a go.

Keep scrolling to shop the $69 bra that’s made me want to wear bras again, thanks to J.Lo.

  • Zendaya Wore a Bra and Zebra Short Shorts to the Louis Vuitton Show in Paris

Zendaya Wore a Bra and Zebra Short Shorts to the Louis Vuitton Show in Paris

    [ad_1]

Louis Vuitton‘s guest list always reads as a who’s who in fashion. This season, the stars came out in full force, including Zendaya, Emma Stone, Ana de Armas, Sarah Paulson, Chloë Grace Moretz, Catherine Deneuve, Jaden Smith, Venus Williams, Alicia Vikander, and more. Phew! That’s a seriously impressive front row.

As she tends to do, Zendaya stole the show in a zebra-print ensemble that I’m simply obsessed with. With nothing but an itty-bitty bra underneath, her outfit is an incredibly chic interpretation of the underwear-as-outerwear trend that’s sweeping Hollywood right now. Scroll down to see her full outfit that’s bound to go viral any second now. Plus, see what all the other stylish guests wore to the show.

Florence Pugh Just Wore a Thong-Exposing Sheer Skirt to Paris Fashion Week

    [ad_1]

Florence Pugh’s newest outfit combines two of the biggest trends right now: maxi lengths and sheer fabrics. Attending the Valentino F/W 23 show during Paris Fashion Week, she wore a basic cropped sweatshirt with a sequined statement “naked” skirt that exposed a simple white thong underneath.

Along with the underwear-as-pants trend, sheer skirts are one of those controversial, risqué trends that celebrities are not afraid of wearing in public. (For the rest of us mere mortals, hints of sheer paneling might be a tad easier to pull off.) Scroll down to see Florence Pugh’s new outfit from the Valentino show in Paris.

  • Gigi Hadid Wore Spring’s Biggest Flats Trend With the Pantsless Outfit Trend

Gigi Hadid Wore Spring’s Biggest Flats Trend With the Pantsless Outfit Trend

    [ad_1]

Gigi Hadid had a very busy week promoting her first season as a host on the Netfix series Next in Fashion. Between that and a few appearances at Milan Fashion Week, Hadid has worn a lot of amazing outfits lately, but there’s one that really stood out to me, as it consisted of two season-defining trends—one controversial and one very much less so.

The look I’m referring to is an all-white Malaikaraiss Berlin outfit. Instead of pants, the oversized blazer is paired with white tights. (I don’t know about you but I’m loving the colored tights renaissance.) And to make the outfit even more 2023, Hadid wore what is arguably the biggest flat shoe trend of the season: Mary Janes. In keeping with the monochromatic theme, she opted for a cream-colored pair by Aeyde. I just love it when celebrities wear comfortable shoe trends.

It’s on the runways and the Insta fashion set, and a whole host of celebs have been quick to embrace the trend too. • Selena Gomez’s Cute Minidress Is Shockingly Still in Stock at Nordstrom

Selena Gomez’s Cute Minidress Is Shockingly Still in Stock at Nordstrom

    [ad_1]

Selena Gomez knows exactly what the people want: more episodes of Only Murders in the Building. And that’s what she’s serving up. Photographed in between takes on the show’s New York City set, Gomez bundled up in a pink puffer coat and boots. Only a glimpse of her red minidress underneath was all it took for me to become instantly obsessed. Lo and behold, I found it online at Nordstrom and it’s shockingly still in stock.

Gomez’s Farm Rio Shiny Flowers Long Sleeve Minidress ($295) is a winner all around. I love the tiered skirt, fun print, and beautiful color. In case you aren’t familiar, Farm Rio is a Brazilian brand known for its joyful prints—and Selena’s dress is no exception. Scroll down to shop the dress before it inevitably sells out.

  • Kate Middleton Wore the Pretty Skirt Trend That’s Ideal If You Hate Miniskirts

Kate Middleton Wore the Pretty Skirt Trend That’s Ideal If You Hate Miniskirts

    [ad_1]

For the past several seasons, miniskirts have ruled the skirt kingdom. And then last fall, maxi skirts started to fight for attention and a place in our closets. Now, there’s a new skirt trend vying for our love, but like most skirt trends, it isn’t new at all.

The trend is full midi skirts, and I’m actually a bit surprised by it. It’s pretty much the opposite of Y2K inspired, unlike seemingly every trend these days, so it’s quite refreshing. It’s also very appropriate for Kate Middleton’s classic wardrobe (which is unlikely to contain any low-rise miniskirts). Earlier this week, Middleton opted to wear a full midi skirt from Zara, which is now sold out, unfortunately. She paired the tweed black-and-white skirt with a cream turtleneck and coat and black knee boots. It’s the perfect way to style a swingy skirt during late winter, and once the weather warms up, you can take the same skirt. Just swap the turtleneck for a tank top and the boots for sandals.

Lila Moss Just Wore the ’90s Trend That’s Back With a Vengeance

    [ad_1]

Hate to say we told you so, but we told you so. Last summer, we predicted the rise of the column maxi skirt trend, and we pretty much hit the nail on the head. Now, Lila Moss is offering us further proof of its popularity right now.

Photographed at the Saint Laurent show on day one of Paris Fashion Week’s F/W 23 season, Moss wore a low-rise column maxi skirt, and it’s giving me ’90s vibes in the best way. She completed the look with an ab-baring sheer crop top and no jewelry—the ultimate minimalist’s move. Scroll down to see how she styled the trend in Paris, and shop similar versions for yourself.

  • Beatrice Grannò Embodies Classic Italian Glamour in Valentino

Beatrice Grannò Embodies Classic Italian Glamour in Valentino

    [ad_1]

Let’s talk about your look for the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

What I loved about that look is that it tells a story of sensuality that I like because it’s not upfront. It’s reserved, but it’s there. So sometimes through the gap of the dress, you can see my leg, but sometimes, you don’t. I love this kind of way of telling a story of sensuality. But also, I loved it because it is, in my opinion, what Italian fashion is, what it always was. So it’s chic but minimal but very definite and very strong. It doesn’t need that much—it’s there. I tend to have a very soft energy, so something that makes me feel more strong, it was just perfect.

Was it one that you tried on and instantly knew “This is the one,” or did you try many options?

I tried many looks from many brands, but for some reason, my eye would always go back to that one because that dress was one that we tried, but it didn’t fit. It was the most complicated one, but I kept going back to it.

You had such cool hair and makeup. What was the inspiration behind your glam look?

I think that we were going for more of a natural look for the makeup. And then for the hair, we wanted a wet look, which is something I’d never done before and was exciting. The glam team was so talented. Peter Gray did the hair, and it was so good. And also the makeup artist Karoline Karakeosian works with Valentino Beauty. With makeup, I don’t like to have too much on. I always love a natural look, but this was the idea to create a sort of wet effect.

  • Suki Waterhouse Just Mastered the Pantsless Trend In a Pair Of Denim Underwear

Suki Waterhouse Just Mastered the Pantsless Trend In a Pair Of Denim Underwear

    [ad_1]

If anyone can pull off the tights-as-pants look that’s been popping up everywhere in 2023, it’s Suki Waterhouse—and she knows it. I presume that’s why she decided to make the trend even more risqué than going pantsless naturally is by trading in the minimal briefs that’ve gone hand in hand with the trend ever since it first went viral following Bottega Veneta’s spring/summer ’23 runway show last September for a denim version. Might I add that she donned the micro jorts to do press on the top of the Empire State Building (casual).

The New York City occasion was all about Waterhouse’s new Prime Video show Daisy Jones & The Six, which she stars in alongside Riley Keough, Camila Morrone, and Sam Claflin. Waterhouse plays keyboardist Karen Sirko in the series, so naturally, she had to look the part of a musician in the ’70s but with a modern touch. As such, she chose the first look from Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini’s fall/winter 2022 collection—a cropped blazer, exposed bra, silk blouse, and denim hot shorts—adding ripped tights, Gucci pumps, and an oversize furry jacket for effect.

Though the denim underwear in her look isn’t for the faint of heart, the overall ensemble is easier to achieve than it might initially appear. Below, shop our favorite denim short shorts of the season and check off the first step in recreating Waterhouse’s hyper cool take on the no-pants trend.

10 Red-Carpet Looks From the NAACP Image Awards That Won’t Soon Be Forgotten

    [ad_1]

On Saturday, some of the today’s most prolific names in music, film, television, and sport met up in Pasadena, California to celebrate the 54th NAACP Image Awards. And naturally, they didn’t show up in just anything. Dressed by the most sought-after stylists and brands in the business, from Law Roach to Jason Bolden and Prada to Versace, the attendees at the 2023 NAACP Awards knew exactly what they were doing when they stepped onto the event’s golden carpet. That is, embedding their outfits in our minds forever.

Between Zendaya wearing not just vintage Versace from the Italian brand’s spring/summer 2002 couture collection but also a custom-made Prada set that was inspired by one from spring/summer 1993, Tracee Ellis Ross donning a dress snatched right off of Brandon Maxwell’s NYFW runway, and Gabrielle Union showing up in Gianni Versace’s Circus gown from his 1989 couture collection, it’s clear that no fashion stone was left unturned by the end of this particular award show. Below, see the 10 most memorable looks from the star-studded event for yourself.

Figuring out what to wear to the airport is always a bit of a challenge. I want to be comfortable, but I also want to wear an outfit that will take me from the plane to sightseeing with ease—meaning no pajamas for me! That’s why I love seeing what celebrities wear while traveling because their outfits always spark practical ideas for me to copy.

Gigi Hadid’s newest travel outfit, for instance, offered up a rather smart idea when it comes to airport footwear. She wore Tory Burch Ballet Loafers ($298), which are exactly what they sound like: hybrid shoes that blend the polished look of loafers with the comfort of ballet flats, complete with a flexible ruched back that’s absolutely perfect for sliding your shoes on and off at security. • Kate Middleton’s Latest Bag Shows Where She Stands on If Mini Bags Are “Over”

Kate Middleton’s Latest Bag Shows Where She Stands on If Mini Bags Are “Over”

    [ad_1]

Kate Middleton is the ultimate celebrity to look to if your style is classic. Her wardrobe epitomizes a polished, timeless aesthetic, and her chosen accessories only emphasize that. If you look through her outfits, you’ll find that more often than not, she’s carrying a tiny bag with them. In fact, this week, she paired a monochromatic navy outfit and camel coat with a top-handle mini bag that perfectly complemented her look.

So why is this significant now? Well, the general consensus in the fashion world is that the mini-bag trend is being replaced by the oversize-bag trend. (Katie Holmes and Zendaya are on board.) Mini bags have certainly been around for a minute, but I think it’s safe to say that they’re not disappearing anytime soon—especially ones that are big enough to fit your phone.

If you too are still on team mini bag, keep scrolling to shop some of the chicest, most timeless ones on the market. Kate Middleton would surely approve.

  • Rihanna Broke the Oldest Style Rule In the Book At Her 35th Birthday Party

Rihanna Broke the Oldest Style Rule In the Book At Her 35th Birthday Party

    [ad_1]

As if Rihanna didn’t have enough to celebrate at the moment, between a record-breaking half time performance at the Super Bowl and a second baby on the way, she can also add turning 35 to the list. Naturally, the singer turned entrepreneur didn’t ring in another year as the world’s favorite billionnaire on the DL, at least not in the dressing department.

To mark the occasion, Rihanna was joined by A$AP Rocky, her best friend Melissa Forde, her brother, and more close friends and family at her go-to spot in L.A. Giorgio Baldi, where she showed up in four-inch, crystal-covered Louboutins aptly named the “Just Queen” sandals, an off-the-runway Bottega Veneta coat, vintage Gucci by Tom Ford accessories circa 2004 (sourced by the one and only Vintage By Misty), and a micro-mini look that defies fashion’s oldest rule: never wear white after Labor Day.

To clarify, we know that this particular style guideline is staler than the snacks we indulged in during the birthday girl’s epic show last Sunday. But it still goes to show that Rihanna continues to play by her rules and her rules only. To see her entire birthday look (as well as A$AP Rocky’s epic Loewe ensemble), keep on scrolling.

  • Storm Reid Is Still Growing Up (and That’s Okay)

Storm Reid Is Still Growing Up (and That’s Okay)

    [ad_1]

Beyond her role in the breakout HBO series, Reid has taken on several heart-wrenching projects this year, including her starring role in Missing. A follow-up to the film Searching, the thriller follows June (Reid), who must take matters into her own hands when her mother goes missing while on vacation in Colombia. “Playing June was the most challenging role I’ve had yet because of the technical aspects of production. Everything was filmed on iPhones, watches, and computers, so I couldn’t rely on stage partners or camera angles to emphasize emotions. It really pushed me as an actor,” she admits.

It’s hard to believe that Reid needed any more pushing, especially considering her uncanny ability to embody the circumstances of her characters’ lives without getting lost in them. When I ask how she does it, she confesses, “I always try to step into my character’s shoes wholeheartedly and experience how they’re feeling and experience their given circumstance while also not neglecting how I would feel. It’s hard at times to differentiate the two, so I always have to remind myself that my character’s reality is not mine. That helps me escape the sadness, fear, or whatever my character’s going through.”

Reid makes a concerted effort to remind herself that there are grains of truth in every character she’s playing, even if she’s in a world that feels far out, like that of HBO’s adaptation of the video game The Last of Us. While the critically acclaimed series follows the fallout from a fungal disease that turns people into zombie-like creatures, it’s not lost on Reid that the global-pandemic story line hits home, as it’s comparable to what we’ve collectively been dealing with for the past few years. She states, “Of course, their pandemic is way different than what we went through, but it’s still a similar situation of feeling isolated and alone and not knowing what to do, and I think that’s so beautifully depicted in the series.” She pauses, then continues, “Even with these last few episodes, you can feel the sadness, the loneliness. That’s what many of us felt during these last few years. My character [Riley] and her friend [Ellie] are just young people trying to figure it out in this crazy world. That’s what everybody’s doing—we’re all trying to figure it out amid all the madness and noise.”

12 Celebrity Outfits That’ll Make You Want to Wear Leggings As Pants Again

    [ad_1]

You’re not imagining it: Leggings as a trend took a hiatus over the past several years. As baggier silhouettes became the norm, they were replaced by sweatpants, as legging lovers such as Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner weren’t photographed wearing them quite as much as they once did. As a result, in recent years they’d become less of a trend that you build an outfit around and more of a functional item that you solely wear to the gym or pilates. Well, as things do in the world of fashion, things are starting to shift again.

If you follow the runways, you’ve probably noticed that silhouettes are moving back toward the slimmer spectrum, with Prada featuring skinny pants and Celine cashing in on skinny jeans for their S/S 23 collections. Accordingly, celebrities are again embracing the leggings as pants concept, and we’re seeing them wear them more as of late.

If you’d like some styling inspiration, here are twelve chic legging outfits we spotted on celebrities recently along with some of our favorite pairs to shop right now.

Maddie Ziegler is gearing up for an exciting spring. Following her critically acclaimed performance in last year’s drama The Fallout, the 20-year-old is returning to the big screen this March with Bloody Hell. Debuting at the South by Southwest, the coming-of-age dark comedy follows 16-year-old Lindy (Ziegler), who is diagnosed with a reproductive condition that upends her sex life and changes her views on womanhood and sexuality. It’s sure to be another standout role for Ziegler, so it’s safe to say the actress is officially solidifying her status as one of this generation’s most electrifying young talents.

It’s not surprising, then, to see the young star sitting front row at the biggest shows during New York Fashion Week.
