  • Rachel ‘Raquel’ Leviss Reveals She’s 1 Year Sober Following Scandoval

Vanderpump Rules alum Rachel “Raquel” Leviss is continuing to focus on her health one year after her affair with former costar Tom Sandoval made headlines.

“I am almost a year sober. I’ll be a year sober on Wednesday,” Leviss, 29, told E! News at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Monday, April 1. “So, it’s a huge accomplishment. And I’m just really proud of how far I’ve come.”

Leviss has also been “staying really active” in an effort to keep her mind from “spinning” as she keeps her social media usage under control. The former Bravo star said she unfollowed several accounts “except for a select few that are a little bit more biased towards my side, because I like to at least know that my voice is being heard.”

Her podcast, “Rachel Goes Rogue,” is another outlet for the model to take her “power back” after Scandoval led to her quitting Vanderpump Rules.

“Just sharing what I’ve learned about myself through this journey,” she said. “And hopefully helping other people who have been through abusive relationships, toxic friend groups, that can relate to what I’m talking about.”

Leviss is looking ahead but almost came face-to-face with her past at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, as Katie Maloney also attended the event. It seems the former costars narrowly missed an awkward reunion at the awards show and they were not seen in close proximity during the Los Angeles event.

Leviss walked away from Bravo following season 10 of Pump Rules. The season was extended when news of Leviss’ affair with Sandoval, 40, made headlines in March 2023. Sandoval’s nine-year relationship with Ariana Madix ended in the wake of the scandal. Leviss and Sandoval initially remained together, but Leviss broke things off after a 90-day stint in a mental health facility.

Sandoval and Leviss have both made many comments about the situation, as did the rest of the Vanderpump Rules cast when Sandoval and Madix returned for season 11. Lala Kent accused Sandoval of manipulating Leviss during their whirlwind romance before digging into him further.

“You know what triggered me was when she said [during the final part of the season 10 reunion], ‘If I don’t fall in line with Sandoval then I have nobody,’” Kent, 33, recalled of Leviss’ statements when the cast sat down for the reunion. “You isolate. You groom. You lie. I do not want to know you. You are scary.”

Leviss resurfaced Kent’s quotes during a March episode of her podcast.

“If I am going to be completely honest, I do feel like I have been groomed because I was in a very vulnerable state of mind,” Leviss said about her ex. “I just got out of a relationship [with James Kennedy] that I feel like was very destructive to my wellbeing. He witnessed that whole thing play out. Things started shifting when we went to Coachella and he really went out of his way to cater to me.”

“It is equally heartening to hear how sharing my own diagnosis has helped promote public understanding and shine a light on the work of all those organizations which support cancer patients and their families across the U.K. and wider world,” His Majesty explained. “My lifelong admiration for their tireless care and dedication is all the greater as a result of my own personal experience.”

Selma Blair on Aging, Her Health Amid MS Remission

Selma Blair is getting candid on what it’s like being in remission for multiple sclerosis — and the pain that comes with getting older.

“I hurt all the time,” Blair, 51, said in an Instagram video on Monday, January 29. “I say that only for you people that hurt also. Like I get it.”

The Legally Blonde actress went on to say that, in general, aging “hurts” for everyone.

“You have to stretch,” she explained, adding that for her it’s “hard to stretch” because of Ehlers-Danlos. “The Ehlers-Danlos will make me really, really stiff because I’ll pull my muscles too easily. So I get some injuries, but this is nothing that’s like horrible, scary stuff or anything. It’s just like one of those extra things that turns into a chronic thing and you have to watch.”

(According to the Mayo Clinic, Ehlers-Danlos is a group of inherited disorders that affect connective tissues resulting in people usually having overly flexible joints and stretchy, fragile skin.)

Selma Blair has been candid about navigating her new normal since being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2018. Blair confirmed that her multiple sclerosis (MS) is fine and she’s “still in remission,” however, she is due for an MRI and blood work soon.

“I seem to be doing fine and [an IV drip] helps so much,” Blair shared. “I still get tired. I still am stiff like all the time. If I’m by myself, I do move and walk better and in open space. But still I notice when I go out it’s still very pronounced when I go into different rooms, hallways or meeting new people or even focusing on talking about it.”

Blair admitted that she doesn’t mind talking about “how strange” her symptoms are because she knows it “can look weird.”

“And when I didn’t talk to anyone else that had MS or other things that might be like this, I didn’t know that it could come and go like that,” she explained. “I was used to things being a little more linear when I was younger or that was just the way things were and I felt bad all the time.”

Although she is doing “well,” it still makes Blair “sad” that she just wants to “sleep and then get on [her] horse and be better.”

“I’m a beginner every day, so it’s like Groundhog Day and I’m doing really well there’s no complaining, but I don’t know if I’ll ever have the coordination or balance or stamina that I want to,” Blair said, adding that she’s still “lucky” and “grateful.”

Three years after being diagnosed with MS, Blair announced in August 2021 that she had entered into remission due to undergoing a stem cell transplant.

“My prognosis is great. I’m in remission,” Blair explained to a Television Critics Association panel at the time, per Today. “It took about a year after stem cell for the inflammation and lesions to really go down, so I was reluctant to talk about it because I felt this need to be more healed. I don’t have any new lesions forming. There’s still maintenance, treatment and glitches, and wonderful things. Cognitively, I’m very changed and that’s the harder part.”

Sarah Ferguson has been diagnosed with skin cancer, Us Weekly can confirm.

“Following her diagnosis with an early form of breast cancer this summer, Sarah, Duchess of York has now been diagnosed with malignant melanoma,” a spokesperson for the Duchess of York, 64, told Us in a statement on Sunday, January 21. “Her dermatologist asked that several moles were removed and analyzed at the same time as the Duchess was undergoing reconstructive surgery following her mastectomy, and one of these has been identified as cancerous.”

Ferguson is currently undergoing “further investigations” to check that her recent diagnosis was “caught in the early stages.”

“Clearly, another diagnosis so soon after treatment for breast cancer has been distressing but the Duchess remains in good spirits,” the rep adds. “The Duchess wants to thank the entire medical team [who] has supported her, particularly her dermatologist whose vigilance ensured the illness was detected when it was. She believes her experience underlines the importance of checking the size, shape, color and texture and emergence of new moles that can be a sign of melanoma.”

The Golden Bachelor runner-up Leslie Fhima ended 2023 in the hospital.

“Hey everybody! I know that everyone was just curious to know what I did on my 65th birthday. I spent it in the hospital. Yes, I had a bowel blockage, severe cramping, came into the ER,” she explained via Instagram Stories on Sunday, December 31, according to multiple outlets.

Leslie, who filmed her health update from a hospital bed, noted that she underwent surgery after doctors discovered the blockage, which she described as “just something so random.” She explained: “[It was] actually, scar tissue from an appendectomy I had when I was 18 years old.”

She went on to tell fans, “If you have severe stomach issues, don’t wait 12 hours to go to the hospital like I did.” Leslie ended her message by wishing fans a happy new year and stating that she was “very excited” to go home to her dog.

Leslie turned 65 on December 28, 2023. Two days later, she took to Instagram to thank fans for their “amazing birthday messages.” She continued: “I am so appreciative and grateful for everyone that supports me on a daily basis. This has been an amazing year for me and I count my blessings daily … 🙏❤️🙏 Happy 2024!”

Leslie was one of the 22 women looking to win Gerry Turner’s heart on the debut season of The Golden Bachelor. She developed a strong connection with Gerry, 72, securing a spot in the final two women along with Theresa Nist.

Gerry proceeded to apologize profusely, telling her it was not his intention to “hurt anyone.” Though Leslie said she was unsure of whether she’d accept his apology, she told Gerry that she “understand[s] it.”

  • Kyle Richards on Staying Fit and Her Split From Mauricio Umansky

Kyle Richards on Staying Fit and Her Split From Mauricio Umansky

Kyle Richards is in the best shape of her life. “I think back to when I was in my 20s and 30s, and I look better than I did then, and that’s after having four kids,” says the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star. “It’s definitely never too late.” Richards, 54, has made fitness a priority as she continues to navigate her separation from her husband of 27 years, Mauricio Umansky. (They are parents to daughters Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15; Richards also shares Farrah, 35, with ex Guraish Aldjufrie.) “When I was younger, I used to work out to lose weight,” says the former actress. “Now it’s for me — first and foremost, my mental health. The fact that it makes me look good is just a bonus.” Richards opens more about staying fit and what the future holds in Us Weekly‘s cover story.

You look fantastic. What inspired you to transform your body?
I had a breast reduction [in 2022], and I wasn’t able to work out for eight weeks. At the time, I was on vacation in Europe, eating pasta and drinking wine and cocktails. By the end of the trip, I didn’t recognize myself. I had also just lost my best friend to suicide, and I wasn’t taking care of myself. And [it was] making me feel more depressed. So after we left, I said, “That’s it. I’m not going to have bad carbs — no sugar, no pasta, no bread, no alcohol. And I’m going to work out every single day.”

Did you notice a big difference?
I started seeing results pretty fast. Even though I wasn’t a big drinker, removing alcohol made such a difference in my skin and how I felt.

What do you do for exercise?
I’ve always worked out, but I was doing the same thing on repeat — I’d go on hikes and spin. I started including weights, hot yoga [and] running, especially when going through a hard time. It really clears my head.

    Your abs are amazing!
I wanted to get a tummy tuck when I had my breast reduction, and the doctor wouldn’t do it; he said we’ll talk about it [later]. I started doing a Peloton 10-minute abs thing, then 15 minutes every day.

    Some people have called your
new look your “revenge body.”
Do you agree with that?
It’s certainly not meant to be a revenge body. It’s meant to be an I-feel-good body.

“I’m very determined in what I want from my life and what my personal goals are,” says Richards in Us Weekly’s cover story.
    Us Weekly

You’ve been open about overcoming body struggles. Are you proud of getting to such a healthy place?
As someone who [had] body image issues their whole life, it’s kind of funny that I’d be on the cover of [a diet and fitness] issue [of the magazine]. Growing up with my sisters, they were both blond and skinny, which [was] very much the look. I was brunette and curvy, and I was always trying to be thin. I started working out when I was 15, but I’ve learned to switch things up and what my body needs.

What do you do when you’re not motivated?
I make the commitment every day. If I have to take a 5 A.M. flight, fine, I have to skip my workout at my house, but I can always do abs in my hotel room.

    What do you eat during
a typical day?
Breakfast is either a protein shake with a banana or oatmeal with berries.
For a snack, I like apples and peanut butter or string cheese. I eat raw nuts when I want something crunchy or a healthy popcorn. Lunch is chicken or grilled fish on salad. At night, I eat a lot of salmon, halibut, chicken paillard with arugula and lemon. I like eating at home so I know what’s going into my food.

Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky were married for more than two decades before they shocked fans with their separation in 2023. Richards was previously married to Guraish Aldjufrie, with whom she shares daughter Farrah, from 1988 to 1992. She met Umansky in 1994, and the couple exchanged vows two years later. Richards was four months […]

Would you say your diet is just as important as exercise?
You have to be committed to both. If I don’t eat well, it affects my mood.

    What’s your ultimate body goal?
I don’t want to lose any more weight. I’m five-foot-two, and the heaviest I ever was was 132 [pounds], which I believe was after my trip to Europe. Now it’s settled at 117. [But] I need to change up my workouts because my body has become accustomed. I have this trainer — CoryG Fitness on Instagram — and he’ll email me a routine. You have to keep changing it constantly, otherwise the progress will halt.

Do you have a favorite body part?
My stomach surprises me. When I’m lying down, I can see I have a six-pack. When I stand up, I have loose skin from having babies, so I won’t be posing standing up. [Laughs] My legs are also really strong. I’ve been spinning for years.

What’s your advice for people looking to make lifestyle changes?
It’s about surrounding yourself with people who will support you. My friends happen to be like me. We want to take care of our bodies and enjoy hiking and then grabbing coffee.

    Are you still not drinking?
I haven’t had one drop of alcohol since July 15, 2022. I don’t miss it. After two glasses of wine, I’d wake up and feel [like I was] dragging. Like, “I’m going to skip my workout today. I’m tired, and I feel like having In-N-Out.” It was a domino effect. I was never a big drinker, so you’d think, how much of a difference could it make? But it really does.

Do you think you’ll continue to abstain from alcohol?
I don’t see myself drinking again. I love the way I feel and look.

Has everyone been supportive of your decision to stop drinking?
When you choose to stop drinking on your own, it’s interesting how it’s met with such resistance from your peers. In the beginning, I was like, I’m just going to pretend [I’m drinking]. I would whisper to the waiter, “I’m going to order a vodka soda, and then just bring me a club soda.” But then a couple of my friends were like, “What are you doing? You drink margaritas.” It just got to the point where I was like, “Why am I having to pretend at my age?” I think about my daughters and peer pressure, and here I am, feeling like I don’t want to be pressured into this. So I stopped pretending. I was just like, “Guys, I promise you, I am still going to be fun.”

On RHOBH, some cast members talked about you going to the gym on vacation and hinted you’ve
replaced alcohol with exercise…
I don’t understand why doing something good for you is looked down upon. I was up at five o’clock, why wouldn’t I do something that makes me feel good and gives me energy? Maybe it’s a reflection of something they don’t like about themselves.

What does self-care mean to you?
Today [was] a self-care day. I worked out, took Portia to school and now I need to go to HomeGoods and buy ridiculous things I don’t need. That makes me feel good! And then I’ll go to bed early with a good book.

Have you been watching this season of RHOBH?
Yes. Sometimes it gives me anxiety, and sometimes it’s OK. It was difficult shooting the season because I was going through stuff in my marriage, but our daughters didn’t know, and I didn’t feel like sharing it on camera quite yet. But I was honest with the [cast]. When they started grilling me, I was like, “Why are you acting like I haven’t been honest? I told you it’s the worst year we’ve ever had.” Did they want me to take them inside my bedroom? I don’t know what they wanted me to do. I felt like people I considered my friends hurt me.

Was there anything specific you were nervous for viewers to see?
[Things] about my marriage. I didn’t know how to navigate it off-camera, let alone on-camera.

    What’s your message to fans?
People were upset when they heard [Mauricio and I] were having problems. I felt like we let people down. [Starts crying] Some were saying [our marriage] was a farce the whole time. But there were also sweet and supportive messages. I didn’t know so many people cared, but they’ve been in my home for 13 years watching us.

Do you feel closer to a place
of happiness now?
In a lot of ways, I feel happy, but
I’m also still struggling because it’s all new to me. I’ve been married
my whole life.

What’s your relationship with Mauricio currently?
We still live in the same house and we spent [the holidays] together. I have no idea how long we’ll be like that, but we are trying to be as normal as possible in a very un-normal situation.

    Is there still love there?
We love each other. We go to therapy. We both want to see each other happy. I don’t know what the future looks like. That’s the hardest part because the unknown is scary.

You recently ran a 10K with your friend [singer] Morgan Wade. Do you motivate each other?
All my friends do. I’ve been shooting a documentary on the road with Morgan, so we’ll go to the gym together.

    What’s happening with the doc?
I’ll probably be shooting that for [a few] more months. It started out as a documentary and then kind of turned into something else… I better stop.

Are you and Morgan sick of all
the dating rumors?
I don’t even think about it anymore. It doesn’t faze me.

Do you regret putting your friendship with her on the show?
In the beginning I did because even though she’s an artist and a musician, she’s not someone who wants this attention. I felt bad about that.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards’ close friendship with Morgan Wade has raised eyebrows amid her ongoing separation from husband Mauricio Umanksy. Richards and Umansky opened up about experiencing “a rough year” in their marriage via a joint Instagram statement in July 2023. The pair also seemingly addressed fan speculation regarding the nature […]

How did Mauricio respond to the RHOBH scene where you tattoo your initial on Morgan’s arm?
He likes Morgan a lot. We’ve gone to her shows [as a] family. What they didn’t show [in that scene] was me saying, “I’m going to do a tattoo on you,” and her saying, “You can, I don’t care.” I was drawing flowers, a pumpkin, but I can’t draw to save my life, so that’s why I ended up just doing a K.

You wrote a memoir in 2011. Would you ever write another book?
I’d write one about mental health and anxiety. I think I had my first panic attack when I was 12, and it got so bad during different times in my life that it was debilitating. I took Prozac, I took Lexapro, and oddly enough, I don’t take anything now even though I’m going through such a hard time. I used humor [and had other] ways of dealing with it because nobody wanted to talk about it. But when I lost my best friend, I thought, “OK, this is a mental health issue I would like to address because of what happened to her and how it affected me.”

    What did 2023 teach you?
That I can handle a lot more than I ever imagined and am stronger than I realized.

What are you looking to leave
behind as we go into the new year?
Negativity and any stress and pain I’ve been holding on to. I want things to be a little more quiet and I want to go into 2024 happy and at peace.

2 Chainz Taken to Hospital After Car Crash in Miami

2 Chainz was involved in a car accident, resulting in an ambulance rushing him to the hospital.

The rapper, 46, confirmed the incident via Instagram Story early on Saturday, December 9, sharing footage of the wreckage.

In the clip, 2 Chainz (real name Tauheed K. Epps) sat in an ambulance as a paramedic prepared to shut the door to transport him to an emergency room. In the background, a black sedan had collided with a barricade on the road’s shoulder. The entire front of the car was smashed.

A spokesperson for the Florida Highway Patrol confirmed to TMZ on Saturday that a crash involving three vehicles occurred in Miami. The outlet reported that 2 Chainz’s car was struck by another vehicle, and the musician allegedly suffered neck injuries. Per TMZ, he is now in stable condition.

Tarek El Moussa is opening up about his struggles with alcoholism as a young adult.

“I will never forget this day … or this kid. I was 20 years old fishing for King salmon in Alaska,” the HGTV personality, 42, wrote via Instagram on Monday, December 4, alongside a photo of his younger self. “Unfortunately, all I remember was the terrible hangover I had. I had drank over 30 shots of vodka and whatever else I could get my hands on. I can still feel the throbbing in my head and the pulsing vein on my temple.”

El Moussa confessed that in his younger years, he was “used to” feeling those aches and pains due to his consistent heavy drinking.

“Most people don’t know this about me, but at 19 my life went downhill in what felt like overnight. I gained 50 pounds, lost my confidence, lost my hope, and became a raging alcoholic,” he continued. “All my drive was gone. El Moussa noted that his book is available to preorder and will be released in February 2024.

The reality star revealed earlier this year that he had been working on writing his story for nearly a decade and had accomplished his goal.

“I’ve been working on this book for 7 years now, and I can’t wait for you to read my personal journey on how I found success, and how I got to where I am today,” he shared via Instagram in September alongside a video slideshow of different moments in his life. “Within that journey, you will learn about many bumps in [the] road including cancers, divorce, business struggles, addiction, and more. Guerdy Abraira is not happy with Larsa Pippen after she told their Real Housewives of Miami castmates about her breast cancer diagnosis.

“It’s just the sloppiness of it being said in front of people I don’t even know,” Guerdy, 45, told Page Six on Tuesday, November 28. “It’s actually disturbing.”

Guerdy noted she was particularly upset that Larsa, 49, spoke about her health news with two women who aren’t Guerdy’s friends while prepping for a party with other people in the room. “To say my personal health news? You’ve got people bartending, waiters [around],” Guerdy said, adding that she was shocked by Larsa’s “nonchalant” attitude.

Guerdy shared her breast cancer diagnosis with Larsa during the November 15 episode of RHOM and asked her not to tell anyone because she hadn’t yet decided when she would share the news with some of their costars. At the time, Guerdy had already told Julia Lemigova, Adriana de Moura and Nicole Martin.

As RHOM producers helpfully told viewers, Larsa broke her promise just six hours after lunch with Guerdy, telling two of her friends about the diagnosis before breaking the news to costars Lisa Hochstein, Marysol Patton, Kiki Barth and Alexia Nepola.

When Guerdy and Larsa saw each other again during the Wednesday, November 29, episode of RHOM, Guerdy expressed her anger at Larsa by being short with her, but Larsa didn’t seem to think she’d done anything wrong. Nicole, meanwhile, revealed that Larsa called her to ask whether Guerdy really has cancer, so it seems certain that a bigger clash is coming.

Guerdy publicly announced her cancer diagnosis in May, revealing that she received her diagnosis two months prior. “I will ‘guerdyfy’ this cancer as I guerdyfy everything else in my life,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “I am lucky that this breast cancer was discovered at an early stage — it is still scary of course, but I have love and support from those around me and that alone is the fuel that I need. For those who do not get health checks regularly, I urge you to. Your life depends on it.”

Many celebrities have spoken out about their personal battles with breast cancer over the years. Julia Louis-Dreyfus went public with her breast cancer diagnosis in September 2017 via Instagram. Nearly one year later, she had successfully beaten the illness and returned to work on Veep. “It sounds kind of corny, but there’s something about after […]

Guerdy completed her last round of chemotherapy in September. At BravoCon two months later, she told the crowd that she’s officially cancer-free. “I’m very excited and I’m so blessed and I literally wake up every morning counting my blessings and making it count,” she said. “Remember that. Make it count!”

In October, Guerdy told Us that she felt a major “release” after finishing her chemotherapy. “I just felt so free,” she said. “It felt so freeing to be me again and a new version of myself. So, now, it’s kind of like, I take no BS from no one, no more. No BS from no one, no more. That should be my new tagline: ‘I take no BS from nobody.’”

Though Ozzy Osbourne has retired from touring due to his ongoing health struggles, the heavy metal icon isn’t ready to relinquish his dream of returning to the stage.

“I’m taking it one day at a time, and if I can perform again, I will,” Osbourne, 74, told Rolling Stone UK for the magazine’s December/January 2024 cover story. The Prince of Darkness retired in February, citing a “major accident” where he damaged his spine, and he told the publication that the months after have “been like saying farewell to the best relationship of my life.”

He continued, “At the start of my illness, when I stopped touring, I was really pissed off with myself, the doctors, and the world. But as time has gone on, I’ve just gone, ‘Well, maybe I’ve just got to accept that fact.’”

Osbourne underwent surgery on his spine in September and hoped to tour again. The “Bark at the Moon” singer told Rolling Stone UK that if he can’t tour, he would still want one final performance where he could give back some love to the fans who have supported him.

A heavy metal icon. Ozzy Osbourne has sold over 100 million records worldwide between his solo career and his days as a member of Black Sabbath. The England native got his start in 1967 when he joined bassist Geezer Butler’s first band, Rare Breed, as a vocalist. Although the group didn’t last long, the duo […]

“For whatever reason, that’s my goal to work to. To do those shows. If it’s at Ozzfest or somewhere, or even a f—ing gig at the Roundhouse,” said Osbourne. “If I can’t continue doing shows on a regular basis, I just want to be well enough to do one show where I can say, ‘Hi guys, thanks so much for my life.’ That’s what I’m working towards, and if I drop down dead at the end of it, I’ll die a happy man.”

In his February retirement announcement, Osbourne cited that his singing voice is “fine,” but after “three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernetics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak. … Believe me when I say that the thought of disappointing my fans really F—KS ME UP, more than you will ever know.”

“Never would I have imagined my touring days would end like this,” he added. Seven months later, he gave an update that he’s doing another album — a follow-up to 2022’s Patient Number 9 — and would still want to “go back on the road.”

Osbourne has been struggling with his health since suffering a fall in 2019. The accident dislodged metal rods that had been inserted into his back after a 2003 quad bike crash (the same year that Osbourne was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, a battle he largely kept private until 2020.)

After the 2019 fall, he underwent corrective surgery but it went “drastically wrong” he told Rolling Stone UK. “Virtually left me crippled. I thought I’d be up and running after the second and third, but with the last one, they put a f—king rod in my spine. They found a tumor in one of the vertebrae, so they had to dig all that out too. It’s pretty rough, man, and my balance is all f—ked up.”

Despite these setbacks, the metal icon is still staying positive as he works to get back on stage. “I do count my lucky stars,” he says. “I don’t know why I’m still here, and I do sometimes think I’m on borrowed time.”

Linda Evangelista is opening up about the cosmetic procedure incident that she said left her “permanently deformed” and “brutally disfigured.”

“How people feel about me still bothers me a little bit, but it used to bother me a lot,” Evangelista, 58, said to The Sunday Times in an interview published on Sunday, November 26. “I know now that I didn’t do anything wrong. For the longest time I thought I did.”

She continued: “I’m not completely rid of it, but I work hard at getting rid of the guilt and the shame. And I’m not letting it ruin my life. I wouldn’t have stayed locked up if I’d known how many people cared.”

The model revealed via Instagram in September 2021 that she underwent the CoolSculpting procedure designed to “decrease” her fat cells. Instead, the cosmetic procedure allegedly “increased” them and left her “permanently deformed” even after two “unsuccessful corrective surgeries.”

Evangelista, who reached supermodel stardom alongside Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington, also said on Sunday that she doesn’t look in the mirror.

“My son will say to me sometimes, ‘You might want to know that you have a pimple on your chin.’ And I’m like, ‘What?’ But life is better without mirrors,” she said.

Evangelista, who is a two-time breast cancer survivor, noted that her greatest goal is to “stay alive.” (She was diagnosed in both December 2018 and July 2020.)

“When I hear other people’s stories, I think, ‘Oh God, I have no right to complain,’” she said to the outlet.

Evangelista previously revealed in September 2021 that she developed a rare side effect called Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia (PAH). She noted that she had been left, “as the media has described, ‘unrecognizable.’”

“PAH has not only destroyed my livelihood, it has sent me into a cycle of deep depression, profound sadness and the lowest depths of self-loathing,” Evangelista wrote via Instagram at the time. “In the process, I have become a recluse.”

Evangelista sued Zeltiq Aesthetics Inc. for $50 million in damages. The lawsuit was settled in July 2022 for an undisclosed amount.

“I’m pleased to have settled the CoolSculpting case,” she wrote in an Instagram statement following the agreement. “I look forward to the next chapter of my life with friends and family, and am happy to put this matter behind me. I am truly grateful for the support I have received from those who have reached out.”
