Meet Gareth Southgate’s beautiful wife, Alison, and their lookalike children

    [ad_1]

Gareth Southgate will be hoping to get England through to the semi-finals on Saturday as the Three Lions take on Switzerland in the quarter-finals of the Euros.

While much is known about the star’s on-pitch life, you might know less about his glamorous wife Alison, who he walked down the aisle with in 1997, or the pair’s two lookalike children: Mia, 24, and Flynn, 20.

    WATCH: Meet the England WAGS!

Here’s everything we know about the England star’s life with his family…

    Alison Bird

Gareth and wife Alison are childhood sweethearts with the pair meeting while Gareth was just a trainee at Crystal Palace F.C. At the time of meeting Gareth, Alison was working in a clothing boutique, however as she generally keeps out of the public eye, it’s unknown if she still has a career in the industry.

In his 2003, Gareth spoke about plucking up the courage to ask Alison out after meeting her at the shop where she worked. When they first got together, they would sneak around the Tesco car park for their dates.

Gareth and Alison’s love quickly blossomed and the duo walked down the aisle in July 1997 with the ceremony taking place in Crawley, close to where Gareth grew up and studied. Despite their joy at tying the knot, the weather was not in their favour on their big day, with some of their wedding photos taking place underneath umbrellas.

The couple live in Harrogate, Yorkshire, and own several properties in the surrounding area.

Alison is always on hand to comfort Gareth

Despite her husband having a successful career, Alison isn’t actually too interested in football. Speaking to the Mail, the manager’s father, Clive, said: “Actually, I don’t think Alison likes football very much.

“Obviously she has to take an interest because it’s Gareth’s job, and she is always very supportive. She will sometimes go to Wembley for an international game – but not during the school term because she always puts the children first.”

Mia is Gavin and Alison’s eldest child and the young adult has grown up to be a budding fashion influencer and boasts over 4,000 followers on her platforms.

    Flynn, 20

Flynn is interested in law and politics

Flynn is Gareth and Alison’s youngest child, and he has pursued a career far away from his father’s sporting shadow. Instead of heading into the world of football, Flynn is a trainee lawyer and achieved a bachelor’s degree in politics from King’s College London.

    Life as a dad

Speaking about his parenting style to the Standard in 2017, Gareth said: “Over the last couple of weeks I’ve just had a nice time spending it with the family though, and for me that’s important because my kids are 18 and 14, and their development is as important for me as anything else in my life.

Family is very important to Gareth

“You do have to try to find a balance because my focus inevitably gets drawn towards making this team as successful as we can and driving them to be the best team in the world, but I’m also a dad and a husband.”

  • Angelina Jolie and daughter Vivienne have big week ahead far away from home

Angelina Jolie and daughter Vivienne have big week ahead far away from home

    [ad_1]

Angelina Jolie and her daughter Vivienne, 15, have an incredible bond, so much so that they have worked together on a very special project close to both of their hearts.

In April, the mother-daughter duo’s Broadway musical, The Outsiders, opened in New York City, and has received rave reviews ever since. What’s more, the show has even been nominated for an incredible 12 Tony Awards, including for Best Musical, up against the likes of Alicia Keys’ show Hell’s Kitchen, Illinoise, Suffs, and Water for Elephants

It is also nominated for Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score (Music and/or Lyrics) Written for the Theatre, Lead Actor, Featured Actor, Lightning Design, Sound Design, Choreography, amongst more.

The prestigious awards show will be taking place in New York City on June 16, and Angelina and Vivienne are likely to attend the ceremony.

The synopsis of The Outsiders reads: “In Tulsa, Oklahoma, 1967, the hardened hearts and aching souls of Ponyboy Curtis, Johnny Cade and their chosen family of ‘outsiders’ are in a fight for survival and a quest for purpose in a world that may never accept them.

“Adapted from S.E. Hinton’s book and Francis Ford Coppola’s film, The Outsiders is a story of the bonds that brothers share and the hopes we all hold on to.

This gripping new musical reinvigorates the timeless tale of ‘haves and have nots’, of protecting what’s yours and fighting for what could be.”

Vivienne has been working as an assistant on The Outsiders, while Angelina has been the producer, and the special project has been an incredible bonding experience for them both.

The Outsiders is an adaptation of the popular book under the same name, written by S.E. Hinton. What’s more, Angelina recently got a new tattoo in honor of the musical.

She recently stepped out in New York City to promote the Broadway show, and could been seen with a tattoo reading ‘Stay Gold,’ which is a line that’s mentioned in both the original book and the movie.

In the play, there is also a song with the same name. Angelina and Vivienne recently appeared on the Today Show to talk about the show, which marked Vivienne’s debut TV appearance, as she appeared from the audience in the famous plaza.

Hoda Kotb asked Angelina about her daughter’s involvement with the show, mentioning that she was the one who turned her mom onto the production, and Angelina reiterated that it was all about “family.” “She did,” the Oscar-winning star responded.

“But I think that’s to say for anybody watching and anybody who is going to see this and what they brought forward…this is about family.”

“And the same reason it responded to her and the same reason she wanted me next to her watching it and the same reason we all hugged when I came out here is because this is about family.”

Hoda asked how the Girl, Interrupted star reacted to receiving 12 Tony nominations for the show (the second-most of the ceremony for a musical after Hell’s Kitchen), and she revealed that it was actually her youngest daughter who broke the news to her that morning.

The star was left almost lost for words as she replied: “It was…I woke up, my daughter was sitting on my bed and she told me. And I was…I love this group so much, I’m so proud of the work that they’ve done and I’m in awe of all of them.”

“Awards don’t always say it [all], when something’s not nominated it could still be the most wonderful piece. But when people you love, you feel like they deserve it and they’ve worked hard for it, they do get recognized, it means a great deal.”

Describing the show as a “passion project,” Angelina stuck around for the Fourth Hour of Today to speak with Hoda and Jenna Bush Hager about passing down the love for theater from her mother Marcheline Bertrand to her own kids.

  • How Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughters Vivienne, Shiloh, and Zahara’s journey is just like their famous mom’s

How Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughters Vivienne, Shiloh, and Zahara’s journey is just like their famous mom’s

    [ad_1]

In the midst of ongoing legal battles between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, a new bombshell dropped last week when it was revealed that Shiloh, their 18-year-old daughter, was reportedly trying to distance herself from her father.

It is being reported that just days after turning 18, she has hired legal counsel to help drop “Pitt” from her surname to become just “Shiloh Jolie,” a move that mimics her own sisters’.

When Zahara, 19, entered a sorority at her university, it was revealed that she had joined as “Zahara Marley Jolie.” And in April, when 15-year-old Vivienne made her Broadway debut with her mom, she was listed as a production assistant with the name “Vivienne Jolie.”

The Jolie-Pitt clan have traditionally remained tight-lipped when it comes to personally sharing more details of their relationship with their dad, particularly in the midst of a complicated and lengthy legal battle over custody, purported abuse, and shared assets.

However, as anyone with knowledge of Hollywood in the late ’90s and early aughts might remember, their journey with their dad, particularly when it comes to dropping his name, doesn’t deviate much from Angelina’s own.

The now 49-year-old is the daughter of actors Marcheline Bertrand and Jon Voight, and while she and brother James were close with their mom, who inspired them to start acting, they had a dysfunctional relationship with their father.

The couple’s daughters are reportedly attempting to distance themselves from their famous dad

Their father and mother separated when Angelina was just six months old. Marcheline raised the siblings while their father was much less of a presence in their life. While they did appear at press events together occasionally, and Angelina made a small appearance in her father’s Lookin’ to Get Out in 1982, the father-daughter relationship was strained.

    GALLERY: Shiloh Jolie-Pitt’s ever-changing appearance — her transformation then-and-now

In 2001, they reconnected briefly when they starred together in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, but that soon deteriorated. “We don’t really speak that much anymore,” she told Vogue in 2002.

Angelina’s own relationship with her dad Jon Voight was complicated

Angelina, who at the time had been using her middle name “Jolie” for her stage name, then filed a legal petition to officially change her name to “Angelina Jolie,” as did James, which was granted in September 2002, officially dropping the “Voight.”

Things changed, though, when in 2007, Marcheline died at the age of 56 from a bout with ovarian cancer, which led to her and her dad reconnecting through their grief, bringing them closer together.

After Jon separated from Marcheline, his relationship with his kids became strained

They eventually went public with their reconciliation, with the Oscar-winning Coming Home star making appearances with his daughter and grandchildren as well. After her separation and divorce from Brad, Angelina spoke with Vanity Fair in 2017 about reconnecting with her father and having him be a permanent part of the family.

“He’s been very good at understanding they needed their grandfather at this time,” she said of his relationship with her six children with her ex. “I had to do a therapy meeting last night and he was just around. He knows kind of the rule — don’t make them play with you. Just be a cool grandpa who’s creative, and hang out and tell stories and read a book in the library.”

  • Ben Affleck finally reunites with Jennifer Lopez to celebrate daughter with ex Jennifer Garner amid marriage strain reports

Ben Affleck finally reunites with Jennifer Lopez to celebrate daughter with ex Jennifer Garner amid marriage strain reports

    [ad_1]

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are out and about together once again, being snapped together in public for the first time in nearly two weeks.

The couple, who are reportedly living separately as they work on their marriage while dealing with professional commitments, were snapped in Los Angeles on their way to a family celebration.

They were seen heading to another graduation party for Ben and ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s daughter Violet, who recently graduated from high school.

Jennifer Lopez warns ‘Don’t F With JLo’

The 18-year-old has already been celebrated by her mom, who shared a tearful (and viral) Instagram video marking the occasion, and has been seen in public out with her stepmom JLo as well.

Both Ben and Jennifer kept their hands hidden away to avoid sparking talk of their wedding bands after the former was seen weeks ago walking around LA without his ring.

Ben wore a gray blazer with slacks and a white button down, carrying a wicker basket with pink gift wrapping inside, presumably a big gift for Violet, while Jennifer wore a floral plunging maxi dress with oversized sunglasses.

Walking with them was the actor’s mom Anne Boldt, the doting grandmother to his three kids with his ex-wife, Violet, 15-year-old Fin, and 12-year-old Samuel.

While Ben has been busy filming in California, Jennifer has been flying around the country promoting her upcoming Netflix movie Atlas, co-starring Simu Liu and Sterling K. Brown.

In a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she shied away from answering any questions about their marriage or Ben specifically, but did speak more vaguely about her life at home with her children, her three step kids with Ben and her own two children, 16-year-old twins Max and Emme.

“I love to cook. My kids love to bake. I love hosting at home, family and friends, especially now that the weather is warmer. I like to have people over. I don’t like to go out a bunch,” she said.

While talking about her brand of cocktails Delola, she also referenced the fact that she would be spending a good amount of time away from home in the coming months while on her world tour in support of her album This is Me…Now, dedicated to her and Ben’s enduring love story.

Ben and Jennifer were last seen out and about earlier this month when reports of a strain first emerged

“I’m gonna be going on tour this summer, so for sure we’ll have Delola at the venues, and I’m just excited for more people to be exposed to it and try it,” she gushed.

Last week, at a promotional event for Atlas in Mexico City, Jennifer was pointedly asked about the divorce reports hounding the couple, and as her co-star Simu jumped to her defense, she kept her response simple.

Jennifer appeared to laugh it off but when the reporter could be heard continuing his line of questioning, she looked directly at him and said: “You know better than that.”

    [ad_1]

Alabama Barker recently received some upsetting news, and has used her growing social media platform to ask her fans for help.

The stepdaughter of Kourtney Kardashian, 18, took to Instagram Stories this week to share a photo of herself with her friend Julie, who she referred to as a “dear aunt”, explaining in the caption that Julie had recently been diagnosed with brain cancer.

Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler’s daughter accompanied the picture with a link to a GoFundMe page, which is raising money for Julie’s cancer treatment costs.

She also wrote: “It could be an honor if you could donate even $1.” The page has been written by Julie’s twin sister Elizabeth, revealing that she had been diagnosed with brain cancer four years after beating breast cancer.

She penned: “Unfortunately, the tumor we were praying was benign is metastasis of her previous cancer”, adding “she currently will be recovering from brain surgery + ongoing chemo & radiation for an unknown amount of time.”

Alabama Barker shared a heartbreaking post about her friend with brain cancer

Elizabeth added: “My beautiful sister leads us as the head of our family and is an amazing mother, daughter and friend for those who know her. She will be out of work to put her energy towards winning this fight once again.”

The post concluded that any “money raised will go towards rent, bills, food and medical expenses”.

In November, Alabama became an older sister after Travis and Kourtney welcomed their first child together, Rocky 13. She is also a stepsister to Kourtney’s three children from her relationship with Scott Disick – Mason, 14, Penelope, 11, and Reign, nine.

Alabama recently gave an insight into what kind of a father Travis was when she paid a heartfelt tribute to the Blink 182 star on his birthday in November.

She penned: “Happy birthday to my everything! I couldn’t have asked for a better father to raise me. I’m so thankful to have you, you’ve always made sure you’ve put your kids before anybody and have given us unconditional love.”

Sharon Stone shares shirtless photo of handsome son as he joins the family business

    [ad_1]

Sharon Stone has a rising star in her family as her eldest son Roan has followed in her famous footsteps.

The 66-year-old actress proudly shared a photo of the 23-year-old on Friday posing for a mirror selfie as he enjoyed his first day on the set of his new mystery project.

In the image, Roan is reclining in a chair wearing nothing but a pair of shorts, with his tattooed chest and muscular physique on display.

Captioning the snap, Sharon penned: “ROAN JOSEPH STONE. DAY 1 on set. Welcome to the family biz kid have fun.”

Sharon’s followers appeared to be very happy with her latest share as many couldn’t resist complimenting Roan’s appearance.

“He’s so handsome,” one replied. A second said: “He’s beautiful like you.” A third added: “Gorgeous!”

Alongside Roan – whom Sharon adopted in 2000 with her then-husband Phil Bronstein – she is also mom to sons Lair, 18, and Quinn, 17, who she adopted in 2005 and 2006, respectively, following her divorce from Phil in 2004.

Speaking of her decision to adopt in 2019, she told British Vogue: “When you adopt, you [realize] any child could be your child, any person could be your relative.

“After that you never see the world in the same way again. I’m connected to everyone on this planet. And that’s a miracle in and of itself.”

    Roan is Sharon’s eldest son

Sharon has been candid about her tumultuous journey with motherhood, particularly her difficult custody battle over Roan with her ex-husband.

At the time of her divorce from Phil, the former couple reportedly agreed on joint custody, with Roan living primarily with his father in San Francisco during the school year.

However, Phil was granted primary custody and Sharon was only allowed visitation rights. She challenged the court’s decision in 2008, hoping to move Roan to live with her in Los Angeles, but the request was denied.

Sharon temporarily lost custody of Roan

During an appearance on the podcast Table For Two with Bruce Bozzi last in March, Sharon claimed she lost custody of Roan because of her role in 1992’s Basic Instinct.

She explained: “I lost custody of my child. When the judge asked my child – my tiny little boy, ‘Do you know your mother makes sex movies?’ Like, this kind of abuse by the system – that I was considered what kind of parent I was, because I made that movie.”

Sharon continued: “People are walking around with no clothes on at all on regular TV now and you saw maybe like a sixteenth of a second of possible nudity of me – and I lost custody of my child.”

Roan has now followed in Sharon’s footsteps

Detailing how losing custody of her child affected her health, she added: “I ended up in the Mayo Clinic with extra heartbeats in the upper and lower chambers of my heart…it broke my heart.”

Despite the separation, Sharon and Roan remained close throughout his childhood, and he now lives with her and his two brothers in California.

  • Nicolas Cage Has 2 Adult Sons and an Infant Daughter — Meet Them

Nicolas Cage Has 2 Adult Sons and an Infant Daughter — Meet Them

    [ad_1]

Nicolas Cage is a character, and he’s played some of our favorite characters to date. He’s also been playing the role of dad for over 30 years. Nicolas has two sons, the first of whom was born in 1990, and now he’s even taken on a bigger gig: grandpa to his four grandchildren. Nicolas’s sons have grown up on Hollywood film sets and with famous friends, but they still lead fairly low-key lives, all things told. Nicolas himself doesn’t have an Instagram to share pictures of his kids, but we do catch glimpses of the boys on red carpets and at events.

In 2022, Nicolas’s family grew even more with the birth of his first daughter with wife Riko Shibata, whom he married in February 2021. Of parenting a girl after raising boys, Nicolas told ET in January, “It’s a new adventure.” In general, the “Renfield” star is enjoying those exciting moments of youth with his youngest. He told the outlet, “Reliving the experience of childhood brings it all back, and seeing how she’s discovering new experiences.”

And even though he tries to keep his kids away from his celebrity, he admits sometimes it bleeds through. “Well, when my first son was really little, he used to call me ‘Nicolas Cage,’ so he must have heard it from people,” he told The New York Times in a Nov. 5 interview. “He didn’t call me ‘Dad.’”

Ahead, get to know both of Nicolas’s three children a little bit better.

Weston Coppola Cage was born Dec. 26, 1990. He is Nicolas’s oldest son and his only child with ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton. Weston has been in two black metal bands, Eyes of Noctum and Arsh Anubis. At one point, Weston and his mother had their own fashion collection of menswear and womenswear, as well as some accessories. It was called FULCAGE. He’s acted alongside his dad, as well as in roles of his own.

Of his acting, Weston told the Daily Mail in 2019, “My father introduced me to the importance of the many intricacies in acting, the dynamics of it. The importance of delivery, character background study and research. The best acting advice I’ve received is from my father. He told me about the importance of utilizing your imagination, your expressions and voice — a homeostasis of all those things together to really express your character’s desires.”

Weston spent his childhood in the presence of Hollywood legends who were friends of his dad’s — Jim Carrey, Cary Elwes, and others. He flew all over the world at his dad’s side while he took on major film roles, and even said in 2019 that he still has hope for the two of them filming a show together. “I would really love to be on a TV series with my father. That’s something we’ve always liked to do together,” he told the Daily Mail.

Weston also has four children of his own to keep him busy, sons born in 2014 and 2016 and twin girls born in 2020. He often shares pictures of his family on Instagram. Nicolas told People previously of being a grandparent, “I love it. Every second.”

    Kal-El Coppola Cage

Kal-El Coppola Cage was born Oct. 3, 2005. He is Nicolas’s youngest son and his only child with ex-wife Alice Kim. He is, of course, named after Superman, whom Nicolas is a huge fan of. He’s also followed in his dad’s footsteps a bit and landed a voice role in “Teen Titans GO! to the Movies.” Like Weston, Kal-El no doubt spends time with his dad on various film sets when he’s not at home with his mother, whom Nicolas split from in 2016 after over a decade together. Unlike Weston, Kal-El’s life seems to be a little bit more low-key, though, and he seems to mostly stay out of the spotlight.

    August Francesca Coppola Cage

Shibata gave birth to the couple’s first child together, daughter August Francesca Coppola Cage, on Sept. 7, 2022, in Los Angeles. She is named after the actor’s late father. During Shibata’s pregnancy, Nicolas told Access in an April 2022 interview that he was “extremely excited” about welcoming his daughter. And though he hasn’t offered much information about baby August since then, he told Entertainment Tonight at the end of March that the little girl has musical talent. “She’s singing really good songs. Her first song — I was very happy about it — naturally, it was about me,” Nicolas recounted. “She went, ‘Da da da, oun ja, oun ja.’ I thought it was a great song. I’m gonna steal it and I’m gonna get rich off my daughter’s song.”

  • JAY-Z Reveals the Unexpected Inspiration Behind Blue Ivy’s Name

JAY-Z Reveals the Unexpected Inspiration Behind Blue Ivy’s Name

    [ad_1]

Blue Ivy Carter’s name has been synonymous with success since day one. As the daughter of Beyoncé and JAY-Z, the 11-year-old has navigated inherited fame like a pro. At eight years old, she was nominated for a Grammy for her contributions to Beyoncé’s “Brown Skin Girl.” More recently, Blue Ivy guest starred as a backup dancer on her mom’s “Renaissance” tour, showcasing her mastery over the complex choreography. On Oct. 27, however, JAY-Z rocked the internet when he revealed that his oldest daughter’s name — the same name fans have come to know and love — was almost completely different.

“We just took the ‘berry’ off and called her Blue.”

“It was supposed to be Brooklyn,” JAY-Z told Gayle King in a “CBS Mornings” interview. “That was the name we had in theory.” Say again? Brooklyn Carter? Though Brooklyn also starts with a B, it’s a far cry from Blue, a unique name that has allowed the preteen to go mononymous just like her mom. Of course, if the couple had opted to name their daughter Brooklyn, it likely would have been a nod to the New York borough where JAY-Z grew up.

As it stands, her actual name also has a pretty sweet meaning. “When we got the sonogram, we was calling her Blueberry. Like, ‘Look at the little blueberry,’” the dad of three said. “You know, it was like a nickname for nine months.” After referring to their firstborn as Blueberry the entirety of Beyoncé’s pregnancy, the adorable nickname stuck, and Blue Ivy was born. JAY-Z added, “It was just natural. We just took the ‘berry’ off and called her Blue.”

Prior to the revelatory interview, many fans speculated Blue Ivy’s name was derived from a quote in Rebecca Solnit’s 2005 novel, “A Field Guide to Getting Lost,” which Beyoncé shared to her Tumblr account in 2012. “The world is blue at its edges and in its depths,” the piece reads. “This blue is the light that got lost. Light at the blue end of the spectrum does not travel the whole distance from the sun to us. It disperses among the molecules of the air, it scatters in the water.”

The piece continues, “Water is colourless, shallow water appears to be the colour of whatever lies underneath it, but deep water is full of this scattered light, the purer the water the deeper the blue. The sky is blue for the same reason, but the blue at the horizon, the blue of the land that seems to be dissolving into the sky, is a deeper, dreamier, melancholy blue, the blue at the farthest reaches of the places where you see for miles, the blue of distance. This light does not touch us, does not travel the whole distance, the light that gets lost, gives us the beauty of the world, so much of which is in the colour blue.”

As for Ivy, her middle name, the moniker was reportedly inspired by Beyonce’s deep personal connection to the number four and the Roman numeral IV, which equates to four.

Brooklyn Carter. Blueberry Carter. Blue Ivy Carter. In the multiverse of celebrity baby names, the possibilities are endless. Whether she’d been born Brooklyn or not, though, one thing is clear: Blue Ivy is a star just like the rest of the Carter-Knowles family.

Blue Ivy Secretly Thinks JAY-Z Is Cool . . . According to JAY-Z

    [ad_1]

All dads have their embarrassing moments. Yes, even JAY-Z. In a recent interview with Gayle King on “CBS Mornings,” however, the proud dad of three claimed that his oldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, only pretends to be embarrassed by him in public. At home, she actually thinks her dad is pretty cool. In fact, JAY-Z says the 11-year-old even asks him for fashion advice from time to time.

“Blue, she be frontin’ on me a little bit.”

“Blue, she be frontin’ on me a little bit, but I catch her,” he said. “I catch her in the corner, you know? Now she asks me if this is cool — her sneakers or whatever she’s wearing.” While Blue Ivy wasn’t around to refute her dad’s claims, she does appear to have taken some major style cues from both her parents in recent years.

Take, for example, when the father-daughter duo attended the 2022 NBA Finals in San Francisco last year. For the outing, Blue Ivy wore low-top Nike Dunk sneakers, sweatpants, a black leather jacket, and a “Brown Skin Girl” T-shirt from mom Beyoncé’s merch line. JAY-Z complemented his daughter’s look in an all-black outfit and white sneakers. The preteen also spent some quality time with her dad at the 2023 Super Bowl in February, during which the pair wore all-black ensembles and matching sunglasses.

At the NBA finals, they went viral after JAY-Z wrapped his arm around Blue Ivy on the jumbotron and pulled her in for a kiss on the cheek. Embarrassed by her dad, the preteen rolled her eyes and subtly attempted to pull away as JAY-Z smiled for the camera. Though Blue Ivy does try to call her dad out when he’s making her feel awkward, JAY-Z told King he’s learned to make a case for himself: “I’m cool. I don’t know what you saying. At your house, your parents is cool.”

Since their NBA outing, Blue Ivy has been busy guest starring as a backup dancer on her mom’s “Renaissance” Tour. While performing in Dubai in January, the mother-daughter duo performed “Brown Skin Girl” together. Blue Ivy also broke out some impressive choreography before sharing a sweet embrace with her mom on stage.

Though Blue Ivy might say otherwise, it seems like having JAY-Z and Beyoncé as parents is pretty cool after all.

Maya Hawke and Uma Thurman Are a Chic Mother-Daughter Duo in Matching Outfits

    [ad_1]

Uma Thurman and Maya Hawke’s latest appearance proves great style must run in the family. The famous mother and daughter, who are both actors, recently attended the Room to Grow gala in New York City on Oct. 25 wearing similar all-black looks. Between their matching outfits and pulled-back hairstyles, the resemblance was striking.

Thurman wore a cape over an ankle-length column dress featuring long sleeves and a slit in the front. She paired the sleek outfit with pointed-toe pumps, an envelope clutch, diamond drop earrings, and a crescent-moon brooch, which peeked out under her coat. Hawke, meanwhile, wore a button-front jacket, pleated trousers, pumps, and a Prada handbag.

Hawke is an ambassador for Prada, and recently appeared in its latest holiday campaign. Hawke’s family has a special history with the fashion house, and one of Thurman’s most defining red carpet looks is the lavender Prada dress she wore to the 1995 Oscars, where she was nominated for her role in “Pulp Fiction.” The appearance boosted sales and spawned many dupes. Prada had been around for many decades by that point, but it certainly helped lead to its it-girl prominence in the 1990s and subsequent years.

Hawke and Thurman attended the “Asteroid City” premiere together in June, where Hawke’s siblings Levon Roan Thurman-Hawke and Luna Thurman-Busson were also in attendance. In previous years, the mother-daughter duo have attended a variety of glamorous events including the 2018 Met Gala and a Miu Miu resort show in 2015.

Meet Lauren London’s 2 Sons, Kameron and Kross

    [ad_1]

When Nipsey Hussle was killed on March 31, 2019, the world immediately came together not only to grieve but to support his long-term girlfriend and the mother of his son: Lauren London. Together, the couple welcomed son Kross in 2016, making their family a blended clan of five (London has another son, 14-year-old Kameron, whom she shares with her ex Lil Wayne, and Hussle’s daughter, Emani, is now 14).

Since Hussle’s death, London has for the most part stayed out of the public eye aside from promoting her TV and movie projects, her latest being Netflix’s “You People,” which premiered on Jan. 27. The actor has done only a few interviews over the last four years. In an April 2021 interview with “Entertainment Tonight,” she spoke openly about grief and how important it was to show her children she was easing back into the world. “We can’t stop, you know?” she said. “We do have a purpose, all of us, and it’s important for my sons to see me moving forward with grief, not just curling up in a ball, because I curled up in a ball for a long time.”

In July 2022, London spoke about her life after Hussle’s death in an in-depth interview on the “Angie Martinez IRL” podcast, stating that she’s “so honest” with her sons because “it helps them trust me” and vice versa. “I’m trying my best to help them cultivate how to deal with their emotions as best as I can through therapy. . . . Anything that I do that feeds my soul I share with them, because I feel like I don’t know where they’re going to go with their lives, but as long as they have the tools,” London said.

London also said she hopes to cultivate Hussle’s legacy for their 7-year-old son Kross’s sake, though not at the expense of her own dreams or those of Kross, as Hussle was passionate in life about making sure everyone around him followed their own journey. “So many conversations we had about my own destiny, my own marathon,” London shared. “He would hype me up so much. He would never want me to just get lost in his purpose and miss my mark, whatever that is. Big or small . . . I wouldn’t want that for anybody. I wouldn’t want my kids to be caught up behind me either.”

With legends like their fathers and an empowering role model like their mom, Kameron and Kross have a lot to look up to. Get to know London’s kids a little better ahead.

Everything We Know About Taylor Swift’s Parents, Scott and Andrea Swift

    [ad_1]

Outside of her incredible music career, Taylor Swift is known for her close-knit support system of friends and family. The 12-time Grammy winner‘s friend circle includes stars like Blake Lively and Selena Gomez, but they aren’t the only ones that have been cheering for Swift throughout her musical journey. Since she was a child, the “Anti-Hero” singer’s parents, Scott and Andrea Swift, encouraged her love for music and pushed her to pursue her dreams of singing professionally.

“She was always singing music when she was 3, 5, 6, 7 years old,” Scott revealed to the University of Delaware’s UDaily. “It’s Taylor doing what she likes to do.”

According to People, Scott and Andrea married in Harris, TX, on Feb. 20, 1988, and welcomed Taylor into the world on Dec. 13, 1989. Along with her younger brother, Austin (born 1992), Swift was raised in a home on a Christmas Tree farm in Wyomissing, PA. “It was such a weird place to grow up. But it has cemented in me this unnatural level of excitement about fall and then the holiday season,” Swift previously explained to Esquire in 2014.

During that time, Swift took an interest in songwriting, and after landing an artist development deal with RCA, the Swift family moved from Pennsylvania to Hendersonville, TN, in hopes that she would make it big one day, and she did. “I never wanted to make that move about her ‘making it,”‘ Andrea previously explained to Entertainment Weekly (via E! News). “Because what a horrible thing if it hadn’t happened, for her to carry that kind of guilt or pressure around . . . We’ve always told her that this is not about putting food on our table or making our dreams come true.”

At 14 years old, Swift signed a record deal with Sony, and in 2006, she released her self-titled debut album that featured tracks like “Teardrops on My Guitar,” and “Our Song,” which helped propel her into the country music world. From there, Swift’s sound has transformed over the years from pop to folk, and she has continued to have the support of her parents through every music phase.

  • “XO, Kitty”‘s Min Ho and Yuri Are Real-Life Siblings

“XO, Kitty”‘s Min Ho and Yuri Are Real-Life Siblings

    [ad_1]

“XO, Kitty” follows Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart) as she travels to South Korea in order to reconnect with a lost love. By the sound of things, the “XO, Kitty” cast quickly developed a close bond — though two of the cast members are actually family members, which was apparently a big surprise for everyone.

It turns out that Gia Kim and Sang Heon Lee, who play Yuri and Min Ho, are actually real-life siblings. In an interview with Teen Vogue, fellow star Minyeong Choi opened up about how the cast found out they were related. “I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say this, but . . . did you know that Gia [Kim, who plays Yuri] and Sang Heon are siblings in real life?” Choi said of the “mind-blowing” revelation. He went on to reveal that the news had come to light when Lee asked if he could add his sister to a cast group text.

“I was like, ‘What?’ Of course, I want to meet my cast’s family too, but not on the first day and not in our first meeting,” Choi said. “[Then] Sang Heon was like, ‘Oh, actually, she’s playing Yuri.’ And then I was like, ‘What?!’”

According to Choi, the cast grew extremely close over the course of filming, so there weren’t too many more big surprises to follow. However, his sister’s presence did make things a little uncomfortable for Choi when he had to kiss Madison (Jocelyn Shelfo) while Kim was on set. “I didn’t want her to be there, and, oh my gosh, it was just so awkward . . . I [could] see Gia all the way there, behind the DJ booth set,” he told Netflix in May, “saying that his sister refused to leave even after he asked her to. “She was like, ‘No!’ And I was like, ‘What do you mean, no?!” he continued. “You want to see your brother kiss someone?’ I think that was my foremost awkward and embarrassing moment.”

Fortunately for fans — though possibly unfortunately for Choi — there may be even more moments like that in store, as the show was renewed for season two in June.

“XO, Kitty” season one is now streaming on Netflix.

Get to Know Leslie Odom Jr. and Nicolette Robinson’s 2 Kids

    [ad_1]

Leslie Odom Jr.’s two kids with fellow Broadway star Nicolette Robinson are quite possibly destined for greatness. With parents who are as unbelievably talented as these two are, we think it’s only inevitable that their daughter and son will follow in their footsteps and become stars themselves — if they want to!

Odom and Robinson, who met in 2008 while working together in LA in “Once on This Island” and married in 2012, make the most of their time together as a family when they’re not working on other projects. They even found time to write a children’s book, called “I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know,” which they released in March. “We try to make bedtime end the day in a really positive way,” Robinson told Playbill of the inspiration for the book. “We want our kids to always feel empowered and secure and loved. Ending the day with that before they drift off to sleep is really important. So, we just wanted to contribute something to the book space that reminds kids constantly that they are loved.”

Ultimately, the book was all about reminding their kids how much they’re loved — and that they deserve to love themselves, too. “I think self-love is one of the most important things,” Robinson told Parents in March. “You have to be able to have self-love to love others, to make your way confidently through this world. And I’m still learning; we’re still figuring it out. But I do think that part of that journey for your kids is teaching them how to love and teaching them that they are loved so endlessly no matter what they do.”

The book’s text doubles as lyrics to a song that Odom and Robinson wrote alongside composer Katie Boeck. “I grew up with books on tape. There are still ones that my sister and I quote to each other to this day,” Odom told the outlet. “So this is our version of that. You can read the book as a book, or you can follow along with the song.” Of course, the musically talented couple recorded their own version of the song, and in the official recording, their kids can be heard singing along at the end.

  • Cool Dad Will Ferrell Fills in as Surprise DJ at a USC Frat Party

Cool Dad Will Ferrell Fills in as Surprise DJ at a USC Frat Party

    [ad_1]

It’s Will Ferrell’s party, and we’re all invited. On Oct. 7, the actor made a surprise appearance as guest DJ at a Sigma Alpha Mu frat party at the University of Southern California, his alma mater. Getting the party started ahead of the football team’s game against the University of Arizona, Ferrell hopped behind the turntables and blasted a medley of hits, including “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor and “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers. Ferrell also played “N— in Paris” by Jay-Z and Kanye West, which features a clip of his “Blades of Glory” character Chazz saying, “No one knows what it means, but it’s provocative.”

At one point, Ferrell even took his hands off the turntables to operate a fog cannon as he bobbed his head along to the music. Around him, college students danced, sang along, and, of course, recorded the unforgettable moment on their phones. Even with video evidence, however, the fact that the four-time Emmy winner would suddenly appear at a college event to show off his DJ skills feels a little surreal.

How did he land the gig? Did he bring his own DJ equipment? What will he do next: deliver pizza to the dorms? Start a flash mob in the quad? Fill in as an adjunct professor? Once the novelty of the situation sinks in, though, we can’t help but admit that hosting a surprise DJ set is incredibly fitting for someone as lovably eccentric as Ferrell.

Considering Ferrell’s oldest son Magnus is a sophomore at USC, it makes sense that his impromptu DJ set coincided with USC’s Parents Weekend. But Ferrell has actually been a regular at the university since he graduated in 1990. During his time at USC, he studied sports broadcasting and joined the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. Since graduating with a BA degree in sports information, he’s remained an active alumn; he delivered the class of 2017 commencement speech, which he ended with a rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.”

Beyond banging on the drums in “Step Brothers” and joining an international music competition in “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga,” Ferrell — who is often confused with Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith — continues to pursue his musical talents in other ways. For instance, in 2022, the proud dad crashed Magnus’s first live performance with his band by jumping in to play the cowbell, a reference to one of his most memorable “Saturday Night Live” sketches. Needless to say, we have a feeling this DJ set won’t be his last.

Anne Hathaway Is an Incredibly Private Mom of 2; Here’s Everything We Know About Her Sons

    [ad_1]

You know Anne Hathaway as an onscreen princess (hello, “The Princess Diaries”!), but did you know she’s also a mom of two? Since marrying her husband, Adam Shulman, in 2012, the actor has welcomed two boys. Although Hathaway’s incredibly private about her home life, she’s shared snippets about her little ones here and there.

On July 24, 2019, Hathaway announced that she was officially expecting her second child. In an emotional Instagram post, she shared that it “was not a straight line” to either of her pregnancies, alluding to struggles conceiving, and encouraged other women who are experiencing infertility to hang in there.

In October 2022, Hathaway opened up about how having kids has made her pickier when selecting projects. “I have to say, the ‘kids’ thing has been the biggest shift,” she told SiriusXM’s “The Jess Cagle Show,” per People. “That’s kind of reprioritized everything, so it’s actually made me a bit choosier because something really has to be so excellent to spend time away from them because they’re so precious to me.” She added, “They’re the most sacred part of my life by a long shot. And then when I do accept something, it puts greater pressure on me to make it worth the time that I’ve spent away from them.”

Read on to learn everything we know about Hathaway’s sons so far.

    Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman

Hathaway and Adam welcomed their first child, Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman, into the world on March 24, 2016. Like some celebrities who enjoy their privacy, Hathaway doesn’t typically share photos of Jonathan on social media.

In a January 2021 interview with Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show,” Hathaway said that staying home with Jonathan — or “Johnny” as she calls him — amid COVID-19 has been relatively easy. He “believes everything we tell him, and that’s adorable as well as very useful,” she explained. She also noted that his gullible nature made parenting around the holidays a breeze, especially when he refused to share with his little brother. Apparently, mentioning that Santa is watching his every move is “so powerful.”

    Jack Shulman

While we don’t know his exact birthday, Hathaway confirmed the name of her son Jack in an October 2020 episode of “Live With Kelly and Ryan,” saying, “Now I have a beautiful almost-11-month-old boy, but I was pregnant when I made ‘The Witches,’ so technically he’s all over that performance.” According to the mom of two, her sons couldn’t get along better. “Now Jack’s big enough to wrestle with, and that’s brought a new element to their relationship that’s really cute,” she said.

Superstar Sisters Zooey and Emily Deschanel Also Have Famous Parents

    [ad_1]

Emily Deschanel and her sister, Zooey Deschanel, have been gracing our screens for years, but did you know that success in Hollywood has been in the family for generations?

The Deschanels’ parents were both established in the entertainment industry long before the birth of their daughters. Their father, Caleb Deschanel, is an Oscar-nominated cinematographer. He was first nominated for an Academy Award in cinematography in 1983 for the film “The Right Stuff,” followed by “The Natural” in 1984 and “Fly Away Home” in 1996. Additionally, 2000’s “The Patriot,” 2004’s “The Passion of Christ,” and 2018’s “Never Look Away” all netted him nominations. He is also a member of the National Film Preservation Board of the Library of Congress.

Their mother, Mary Jo Deschanel, is an actor. She is perhaps best known for playing recurring character Eileen Hayward in “Twin Peaks.” She went on to appear in the movie “The Patriot” and had roles in “Law and Order: Trial by Jury” and “Ruby Sparks,” and portrayed Hayward again in “Twin Peaks: The Missing Pieces” in 2014.

Emily, the pair’s oldest child, was born in 1976. Her first role was in 1994’s “It Could Happen to You,” and her big break came through her role as Temperance Brennan on “Bones.” Zooey was born in 1980, and her career began with the TV show “Veronica’s Closet,” which aired in 1998. She went on to appear in major features like “Elf” and “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy,” and she also launched a musical duo, She & Him, in 2008.

The siblings apparently had a tense relationship growing up. “I would tell her . . . that I’d [hurt] her sister and taken over her body, and that I was going to kill her next,” Emily revealed in a 2012 interview with Conan O’Brien. Fortunately, she said that the siblings now “get along now very well.”

The pair also grew closer when they both had babies within two months of each other in 2015, with Zooey telling Jimmy Kimmel that it was “amazing” and they “couldn’t have planned it better,” per Broadway World. Zooey shares two kids, Elsie Otter and Charlie Wolf, with her ex-husband Jacob Pechenik. Emily also has two children, Henry and Calvin, with her husband David Hornsby.

Peter Dinklage Has 2 Kids — Here’s What We Know About His Family

    [ad_1]

There’s a very good chance you didn’t even know Peter Dinklage had kids, let alone how many children he has. The Emmy-winning actor and his wife, theater director Erica Schmidt, have two children, but they’re extremely private about their family, to the point that they’ve never even publicly discussed their children’s names!

    Peter Dinklage’s Oldest Daughter

Dinklage and Schmidt’s daughter was born in 2011, according to Entertainment Weekly. Aside from that, though, pretty much nothing is known about her. Perhaps because of that air of mystery — and the fact that she was born right as “Game of Thrones” turned Dinklage from a character actor to an internationally famous household name — there have been a few odd rumors about her over the years. One such funny rumor: at one point, there were incorrect reports that she was named Zelig. “I don’t care!” Dinklage told The Guardian in 2015 when asked about the rumor and if he wanted to make an on-the-record correction.

Dinklage has admitted to being a protective dad, though. “No, she does not [visit the ‘Game of Thrones’ set],” he told The Guardian. “I am so protective of everything that society has to offer, especially if I am in it. Maybe one day she’ll watch ‘Thrones’. . . She has been to the cinema once and she lasted about half an hour . . . I think she was a little too young. I think Dada was projecting on to her . . . I jumped the gun on that one.”

    Peter Dinklage’s Second Child

In October 2017, Dinklage and Schmidt’s second child was born, according to Us Weekly. Although Schmidt was visibly pregnant at public events earlier in the year, the couple never actually confirmed the pregnancy to any media outlets or via any statements. Us Weekly reported that they were seen at a concert that September, apparently with their newborn baby. Since then, however, there has been no news at all about their youngest child. The couple has chosen to not release any details, not even their child’s gender or name.
