Sunday with Lucy Beaumont: ‘I only take CBD oil when my husband’s here, because I pass out’ | Comedy – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

Up early or lie-in? I’d love a lie-in, but for the past six years we’ve had a child alarm clock. You could put Elsie to bed at midnight and she’ll still wake at 7am.

Sunday breakfast? We’ll usually have Frosties or Coco Pops. We’re big fans of peanut butter and Marmite together. My daughter has peanut butter, Marmite and honey, which is bizarre.

Out and about? We live near the Yorkshire countryside, so if it’s sunny we’ll go for a walk or to the seaside, then out for a roast.

Perfect roast? Roast dinners are my favourite. It’s hard to find somewhere that does crispy roast potatoes and mash. Nowhere does proper gravy. It’s criminal.

Sunday afternoon? Whatever our child tells us: go to the shopping centre, make a den, watch telly. She calls the shots.

Sunday housework? I’m messy, but my sinks, toilets and work surfaces are clean. Jon [Richardson, Beaumont’s husband] is meticulously tidy, but he’s not bothered about surfaces. I frantically try to sort out a week’s worth of mess in two hours.

Sundays growing up? I’d go to my granny and grandad’s. It was pretty idyllic: peeling spuds on our knees in front of the telly. They were both art teachers, so they’d be drawing. It was very calm, very different to how my mum and I lived.

Sunday wind-down? Red wine. I’ve also got into CBD oil, but I can only take it when Jon’s here, because I pass out.

Look forward to or dread Mondays? Look forward, because I’m my own manager. I used to be a teacher. I miss…

Medical marijuana license dropped – Tri-County Citizen – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

    [ad_1]

VILLAGE OF CHESANING – During its Tuesday, Feb. 21 meeting, the Chesaning Village Council considered the request of the Voltano marijuana facility to prorate the medical marijuana license the company held during 2022 to just 21 days ($400) because they did not intend to renew the medical marijuana license in 2023. After listening to Voltano representative Jon Chips explain the situation, council members agreed that Voltano did not owe the village for the license, which was not being used. However, they did agree Voltano’s offer to donate the $400 amount (equal to the proposed proration) to a local charity or nonprofit organization.

In his appeal to the council, Chips explained that Voltano had previously held both medical and adult recreational marijuana licenses; but they decided not to renew the license to grow medical marijuana in 2023. It was explained that in order to qualify for an adult-use facility license, the state required applicants to first hold a medical marijuana facility license.

He explained that they simply didn’t renew their medical marijuana license with the state. They didn’t realize that they had to officially inform the state that they are no longer growing medical marijuana. Consequently, Voltano had still been listed as growing medical marijuana on the state website for 21 days during 2023, even though they weren’t growing…

National calls Chch CBD upgrades ‘waste of money’ – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

    [ad_1]

The National Party is branding planned central city upgrades in Christchurch a waste of money.

A section of Gloucester Street in the CBD will be overhauled from next week, becoming a one-way lane with its speed limit reduced to 10km/h on a 10-week trial basis.

The $1.5 million project will receive 90 percent of its funding from Waka Kotahi, through its Streets for People programme, with the remaining amount funded by the Christchurch City Council.

National Party transport spokesperson Simeon Brown said the money would be better used improving the country’s roads.

“It’s an absolute waste of money, the reality is the government is taking millions of dollars out of people’s road taxes to pay for anti-car policies,” he said.

“This only makes it harder to get around and that money would be much better used filling in potholes.”

However, Christchurch city councillor Jake McKellan disagreed with criticism the work was a waste of money, saying the upgrades would have a positive economic impact by drawing more people to the area.

“We’re still rebuilding and I think Waka Kotahi clearly see this as we do, which is a street with lots of amazing facilities – Tūranga, the performing arts centre, the Court Theatre – and they, like us, appreciate that it’s a space that’s poorly utilised at the moment.”

Safety concerns had been raised by businesses in the central city, who said that violence and intimidation had risen, and McKellan said the upgrades could also act as a…

Legal clinic in Somerville offers free aid to help people clear their records of marijuana crimes – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

    [ad_1]

Ryan Dominguez, executive director of MASS CultivatED, a workforce development and jobs training program for the cannabis industry, said the free legal aid is the organization’s most popular program.

Since the group was established in 2020, Dominguez said, 125 people have initiated efforts to have their criminal records expunged or sealed with legal assistance offered by MASS CultivatED. Criminal records make it difficult for people to find jobs or housing, or participate in some volunteer opportunities.

“What we are doing is providing the services directly to impacted individuals from the war on drugs,” Dominguez said in an interview. “We focus on three main components of our core program. That is expungement, education, and employment opportunities.”

Connexion United Methodist Church in Somerville hosted the event, where participants met with attorneys from Greater Boston Legal Services as well as representatives from community programs in Greater Boston. Also sponsoring the event was Ayr Wellness, a cannabis business with dispensaries in seven states, including Massachusetts, where it has locations in Somerville, Back Bay, Watertown, and Needham.

The Rev. Jordan Harris, pastor of Connexion United Methodist Church, said the congregation hosted its first expungement clinic last year.

“For us it’s all about grace,” Harris said. “It’s a way for us to kind of put our space and our money where our theological principles are. It’s reconciliation. Helping…

owners upgrading buildings to entice workers back to CBD – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

Wesfarmers Health is moving from suburban Camberwell to the CBD into the rejuvenated former Victoria Police headquarters, taking 3500 sq m in the 673 Flinders Street building, with options to expand into 5000 sq m. Peakstone, owner of the building, invested $80 million to refurbish it – from B grade to A grade – which attracted the AAA tenant.

One of the first CBD building “repositioning” opportunities of 2023 could well be a major litmus test for what may be to come.

JLL’s Melbourne CBD sales team is offering 99 Queen Street, a 4682 sq m building that is 50 per cent leased and located in the prime central CBD precinct near Collins Street.

“We anticipate strong interest, given the opportunity to reposition the asset and tap into the ‘flight to quality’ that we are seeing from the markets,” said Nick Peden, who is handling an international expressions of interest campaign along with Rutman and Mingxuan Li .

Jones Real Estate managing director Paul Jones said underperforming B grade city buildings represent an opportunity for well-established investors. “There is significant scope to update them into state-of-the-art workplaces, with sustainability and social amenity that caters to rising ESG standards,” he said.

A major success story, Jones said, is the Queen and Collins project – an upgrade of the former 34-storey ANZ office tower, along with three heritage buildings in the same block.

  • How Can CBD Be Used to Benefit Health? 4 Crucial Things to Know – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

How Can CBD Be Used to Benefit Health? 4 Crucial Things to Know – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

    [ad_1]

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a compound found in cannabis plants. Unlike THC, CBD does not have any psychoactive effects. This means that it does not make you feel high or intoxicated. However, CBD has many potential health benefits. Here are four ways you can use CBD for your health.

    Inhale CBD to Relieve Pain

CBD (cannabidiol) is becoming a popular alternative to traditional pain relief. With the innovation of CBD inhalation, it has become even more accessible for those with chronic pain to access its therapeutic effects. CBD inhaled through a vaporizer – typically referred to as “vaping” – produces rapid results that are often felt almost immediately. Depending on your comfort level with vaping, various types of products are available, including disposable pens, coils, and pods that offer convenience and a consistent dose of CBD per puff. You can get CBD from Florida dispensaries or a dispensary in the state you are in for as long as it is legal. You just need to find a reliable dispensary with quality products to get the most benefit from your CBD.

Topical Application to Reduce Anxiety and Stress

From creams and lotions to oils, sprays, balms, salves, and even crystals, CBD can be applied topically in many different forms to calm the mind. Those who partake report positive anecdotal evidence, including fewer anxious thoughts, lower levels of cortisol (the body’s primary stress hormone), more restful sleep, relief from everyday irritations such as…

Fentanyl, heroin found in CBD gummies, district attorney warns – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

    [ad_1]

This story originally appeared on 6abc

Officials are warning the community about illegal drugs that were found in CBD gummies being sold at three locations in Montgomery County.

District Attorney Kevin Steele was joined by police chiefs from several departments on Friday to announce the discovery.

Steele said both fentanyl and heroin were found in Strictly Delta gummies, called “Delta 8 THC 600 MG Happy Cubes,” sold at three Tobacco Hut stores in the county.

The gummies have caused two overdoses, Steele said. Both victims have recovered.

The D.A. said the overdoses led to an investigation. Undercover detectives found two flavors of “Delta 8 THC 600 MG Happy Cubes,” Juicy Pineapple and Blueberry Lemonade, were laced with illegal drugs.

A search warrant was executed on Thursday night.

“We don’t yet know whether other items from the stores contain deadly drugs. Testing is ongoing. We also don’t know if this is a widespread issue but we are working with law enforcement at the local, state and federal levels to ascertain that,” Steele said.

Steele also had a warning about “Urb Extrax” and “Packwoods Coned,” both of which allegedly contained fentanyl.

The D.A.’s office said the Tobacco Hut locations involved were located at:
