Victoria Dennis Releases New Single ‘Booty Pop’

    Press Release

    Jul 29, 2022

Reigning out of the city that never sleeps, New York City is the lyrically inclined and talented Victoria Dennis. Singing and dancing her way into hearts, dance floors, and stages with songs like “Miles Away”  “Rooms” and “Out of Your Mind ” she released her new single titled “Booty Pop”. The nineteen-year-old singer, songwriter, drummer, and dancer has always had her eyes and heart set on one thing,  performing and connecting with people on social media platforms liik Tik Tok. When writing “Booty Pop”, Victoria stated she wanted to “push the envelope and create something FUN.”. When this record comes on it gives you this feeling that makes you just want to dance wherever you’re standing. Whether you are at the grocery store, subway station, at work, or driving.

Victoria aims to not only entertain her fans but also is big on girl power, confidence, and sexiness while still remaining poise, which are values Victoria gets from her modeling career she started at age 5. When writing this song with her co-writer Shatic Mitchell, the beat gave Victoria this old-school vibe which helped curate these melodies and chorus breakdowns that embodies a classic “Brittney Spears” like aura. Victoria states, “We talk about women, and how sexy it is for a female to be dominant! Women are beautiful, and using our charm and power can lead to desirable things.”.

Victoria, an advocate for anti-bullying, has always gone by the motto “Take your negative and make it positive” using her music as an escape where she can express herself and her feelings with unlimited creativity. Her writing style oozes vulnerability and gives her listeners something to relate to in all of her songs throughout many phases of their lives; this is what made “Booty Pop” special for the young star. Dennis wants to leave a legacy behind that will always encourage her fans to walk in their destiny and always have fun.
“Hours and hours of work went into this record across the board with everyone who had hands on it, and I feel so relieved that it’s finally out because it was something out of my comfort zone, but I tried it and believe I might’ve just created one of my favorite songs to date!” Victoria says. Be sure to check out “Booty Pop” on all streaming platforms, and catch this fun, energetic music video. To stay updated on Victoria, you can follow her on Instagram @VictoriaDennisMusic

World’s top education experts meeting to integrate latest research into curriculums that boost students’ resilience and ‘grit’

    Press Release

    updated: Jun 25, 2018

With school shootings, bullying and teen depression reaching a crescendo, thousands of educators from around the world are meeting in Fort Worth this week at the World Positive Education Accelerator June 25–28 to deal with the growing number of kids struggling to cope with school, their peers or society in general.

“Essentially we’re meeting in Fort Worth and redesigning what 21st-century global education looks like,” says Sir Anthony Seldon, president of The International Positive Education Network (IPEN), a co-convener of the four-day conference. “We want educators to walk away empowered with the tools, resources and connections to make real, lasting change.”

Essentially we’re meeting in Fort Worth and redesigning what 21st-century global education looks like. We want educators to walk away empowered with the tools, resources and connections to make real, lasting change.

Sir Anthony Seldon, President of the International Positive Education Network (IPEN)

The need is high. Statistics paint a grim picture with studies showing one in five children will experience a major depressive episode before graduating from high school. Many enter universities unable to tolerate points of view other than their own. Alarmingly, employers find that new grads entering the workforce lack the “soft skills” needed to succeed in the workplace, such as tolerance, effective communication or critical thinking.

Conference attendees from as far away as Australia, the U.K., Latin America and Dubai are sharing results of their research about how utilizing positive psychology — the scientific study of positive human functioning and positive education and its application in the classroom — can lead to the development of individuals who are resilient, learn more and exhibit a mindset of well-being.

Together with peers worldwide, U.S. public and private school teachers, as well as policymakers, are learning more about what positive education is and how to integrate the latest research into curriculums that boost student well-being, resilience and “grit.” The meeting is the largest of its kind ever held and provides cutting-edge-yet-practical, science-based tools and solutions that can be implemented in classrooms.

Keynote speakers include Angela Duckworth, Ph.D., author of the best-selling book Grit: the Power of Passion and Perseverance; and Martin Seligman, Ph.D., founder of positive psychology, past president of the American Psychological Association and author of Flourish and The Hope Circuit, whose current mission is to transform social science to work on developing strengths, positive emotion, good relationships and meaning in life.

Topics include “Empathy, an Antidote to Aggression,” “Raising Confident Children” and “Future-Proofing Our Youth — Positive Psychology as an Antidote to a Rapidly Changing World,” along with sessions that focus on peer pressure, reducing discipline problems and bullying.

Co-convening the conference along with IPEN is Champlain College’s David L. Cooperrider Center for Appreciative Inquiry, developers of a strength-based methodology that is creating a positive framework for change in education, the corporate world, public service and elsewhere. Appreciative inquiry is being used by conference attendees to generate concrete results that turn inspiration into lasting action, organizers say.

Addressing School Violence and Bullying, STOPit Solutions Now in 500+ Texas Schools

    [ad_1]

    Press Release

    updated: Jun 5, 2018

STOPit Solutions, which provides a comprehensive, anonymous software communication platform that mitigates and deters school violence, harassment, and bullying, announced Wednesday that the number of schools in Texas protected with STOPit Solutions passes 500 safe STOPit schools. The news comes after Gov. Greg Abbott announced school safety plans and proposed increased attention to school safety.

“STOPit has been a beneficial tool to the students in our district by providing them the ability to anonymously report incidents that they may not have felt comfortable doing otherwise,” stated Karen Stevens, Director of Student Support Services for Comal Independent School District in Comal Texas.

Texas passed a landmark law one year ago in June 2017 mandating that all schools adopt an anonymous reporting solution. STOPit is now used across the state and is a cornerstone of improved school climate, and integration with local enforcement whenever needed. This incredible adoption rate and the successful STOPit program has already helped to manage 6,275 incident reports in less than a year in Texas.

“Texas’ David’s Law was passed to help protect kids and mandate that schools implement a modern reporting solution. We are incredibly proud of the stellar track record we are delivering in STOPit schools across Texas, and see improved behavior with our modern approach to address today’s complex issues in schools,” stated Neil Hooper, STOPit CRO. “We wish it were in every school. School violence and aggressive student behavior must be stopped early and effectively, and STOPit is leading this effort across the state of Texas. It’s a good sign to see the state, schools, and teachers trying to do everything they can.” added Todd Schobel, founder of STOPit. “We look forward to many more schools embracing the STOPit platform.”

With the tap of a button in the STOPit app, students can anonymously share incidents and alert school administrators – along with photographs, videos, screenshots or other evidence that may be relevant. When reports are filed, school administrators are notified immediately so that they can address the issue and, when necessary, engage law enforcement through an integrated escalation process. Some districts also use STOPit’s call center to route emergency reports directly to local law enforcement for them through STOPit’s 24-hour monitoring service.

STOPit has been creating safer places to learn, work, and live for over 5 years. Their innovative platform and comprehensive 24 hours per day monitoring service continue to make exciting market leading announcements across the country.

STOP School Violence Act to Provide Funding for Programs Like STOPit

    [ad_1]

    Press Release

    updated: Mar 19, 2018

The U.S. House of Representatives has passed HR 4909 which is designed to provide a minimum injection of $50 million per year for the next 10 years to help fund programs such as STOPit. Passed by a convincing margin, it now moves on to the U.S. Senate and early signals from President Trump look positive that he will sign the bill.

STOPit has been adding school programs across the country and there are now STOPit schools in 42 states – with this unrivaled national expansion achieved in just four years. “In this school year alone, STOPit schools have managed over 18,000 incident reports. There is no doubt on the effectiveness of the platform and its universal appeal to students, as well as school administrations using the system to keep their schools safe,” stated Neil Hooper, CRO STOPit.

“The focus on school safety has been powerful. STOPit customers can coordinate with local law enforcement and other first responders, and SROs are armed with instant notifications from the STOPit system,” continued Hooper. “We look forward to the injection of federal funding to help schools put their STOPit program in place to STOP School Violence.”

The STOP School Violence Act was the first school safety-focused measure to pass in the House since the horrible tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. The bipartisan vote of 407 to 10 saw only five Democrats and five Republicans vote against the bill.

Online tips are available to teachers during October’s National Bullying Prevention Month

    Press Release

    updated: Oct 2, 2017

In support of Bullying Prevention Month, Amelia teaches students in K-8 how to keep their schools bully free. Amelia is one of six relatable characters developed over decades of research and efficacy. Each character is highly researched and evidenced backed and helps thousands of teachers impart social/emotional learning and character foundation skills. “During October, Amelia is our champion character. She is a teacher’s best tool in supporting Anti-Bullying,” said Linsey Covert the driver behind a growing cloud-based, integrated coursework (TEAMology) that builds stronger, more resilient students.

What gives Amelia her street cred? Well, let’s hear from Amelia herself. “It is ok if students don’t always agree with each other or even like each other. They just need to learn how to celebrate differences, always be respectful and productively cooperate on a TEAM. When you help students build a TEAM culture, there will be no room for bullies.”

    Amelia

Dr. JoLynn Carney, Penn State University College of Education researcher, joined in the research and development of Project TEAM. “What we always suspected was that creating a positive environment by empowering the students with strong prosocial attitudes and skills would help with bullying problems, other disciplinary issues, and provide a more productive environment for learning and growing. We now have the data that applying this approach with fidelity actually works.”

Jenna St. Mars from Rostraver Elementary School in Belle Vernon, Pa has been utilizing Project TEAM in her school since the 2016-2017 school year. “The kids are really being in the house here at RES and their behavior has been fabulous since the start of the school year. We tie Amelia into our Anti-Bullying month activities very heavily. We weave her into all aspects of Bullying Prevention month as she represents inclusion and the respect for others and their differences that we want our students’ to emulate,” says Jenna.

Jen Lowe from Stafford Township SD has been using the material for over six years. “I can tell you it is worthwhile. Bullying is basically gone, and I have a better handle on my students’ emotions and how to handle them. It’s techniques we weren’t taught in school,” said Jen.

During October, TEAMology is offering tips on how to use Amelia to help students understand the value of peace, harmony and acceptance and also to give students strategies to use if faced with a bullying situation. Follow TEAMology on Facebook (TEAMology) and Twitter (@weareteamology) where all month long, Amelia will be featured along with easy to use activities and ideas for promoting Anti-Bullying.
