Every year, I spend most of my December and January in Europe, basking in the trends firsthand thanks to the incredible people-watching. Whether it’s on-the-go Spanish women in Madrid or chic, stylish Parisians sipping their morning coffee, the women across the pond deliver plenty of style without even realizing it. On this season’s agenda, you ask? A well-made, impressive shearling aviator jacket.
Aviator jackets—and double-faced sherpa and shearling-lined jackets, in general—proved to be one of the biggest jacket trends of last year. They’re not going anywhere anytime soon based on my hard-found, calculated research. (Read: sneaky street style pictures of women I saw during my travels.)
They’re the perfect no-fuss adornment to an already great outfit, and, for most European women leading their busy, metropolitan lives, the jacket style seemed to be a go-to choice as we ended 2023 and entered 2024.
Below, browse plenty of outfit inspiration from the sources and shop for the best aviator jackets to start the year strong. Trust me, you won’t want to scroll away.

There’s no better way to ring in the New Year than sitting in a café in Paris and people-watching. Last week, I spent the start of 2024 in various little cafés around the French capital’s most stylish districts trend-spotting among the chic Paris street style crowd.
Whether it was passing by boutiques in the Marais, the city’s trendiest shopping district, or sipping on chocolat chaud viennois—Vienna-style hot chocolate—in the heart of Montmartre’s painter’s square, French women left and right wore these six can’t-miss trends to ring in 2024. Below, scroll through and shop all of the elevated items you need to keep an eye on this year that will, no doubt, take over your Instagram feed in the weeks and months to come.
If there’s one thing I learned about my time in Paris over the holiday season, it’s that French people don’t wear all black nearly as much as New Yorkers. After sitting at cafés people-watching and trend-spotting for hours, I’d go out to stay that the stylish Paris street crowd is saying au revoir to basic and monochromatic outfits in 2024.
While I spotted a fair share of elevated basics and classic styles in brown, black, nude, and cream, the Paris street style crowd that stole my heart the most while in the French fashion capital were those who were unafraid to experiment with color. Whether it was full-on statement coats in bright hues or blink-and-you-miss-it accessories to add a touch of playfulness, French women everywhere are throwing the notion that all-black outfits are the only way to look chic this winter.
Below, browse some style inspiration on how to incorporate color into your winter outfits the cool French-girl way and shop their key staples.
Earlier this November, I felt downright giddy when I realized my Australia trip was right around the corner. A sunny reprieve in the middle of winter (okay, I live in California, but still)? Yes, please!
I was so blinded by my own sunny outlook that I chose to ignore my Australian relatives’ warnings. November, they warned me, was more akin to spring, and rain was far likelier than beach days. “Totally,” I agreed as I spread bikinis out on my bed.
Here’s the cold, hard truth: Melbourne is chilly. Weather-wise, it’s got the moody marine layer of San Francisco with a healthy dash of Seattle fog. It’s a gorgeous city but a gray city nonetheless! Your girl was freezing, her dreams of returning stateside a sun-kissed goddess dashed. Ever the optimist and buoyed by a daily diet of piping-hot meat pies, I chose to look on the bright side. I was 11 hours ahead of home, putting me in the unique position of living in the future, baby! With newfound zeal, I hit the streets, credit card at ready and a keen eagle eye trained on what the cool Melbourne girls were wearing.
As an avid RealHousewives fan, I’ve gotten used to seeing women in splashy outfits. Logo mania looms large in the Bravo universe, which makes it the perfect form of escapism. My own sartorial tastes are decidedly more sedate. While I’ve never shied away from color or texture, I grew up in a household where the saying “take one accessory off before leaving” is gospel, and while I believe rules were made to broken, you have to admit that restrained dressing is becoming more and more of an art form.
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock this year, the terms “quiet luxury” and “rich mom” dressing aren’t novel to you. But the French have been doing it for ages and doing it well. They know that dressing expensively doesn’t require draining your bank account, just discerning taste, smart investing, and pairing pieces well.
Read ahead to see how French women fake it (and by “it,” I mean money in their bank accounts).
I’m back for round two: After writing about the struggles of looking for a chic, well-fitting plus-size coat this winter, my inbox was flooded with messages asking for more.
As an editor, it’s my job to spend hours online digging through pages and pages of stuff to uncover the hidden fashion gems. Ahead of the New Year (and instead of doing my holiday shopping), I sat down to find even more plus-size coats that don’t look like you stole them from your grandmother’s closet.
Below, shop 19 more coats that literally made my jaw drop, along with some other can’t-miss plus-size winter essentials I think you’ll love.
Despite the fact that I have a massive shoe collection, ashamedly, none of them really fit me right. For context, I’m anywhere from a size US 10.5 to a US 12. Add having wider feet than most on top of that, and it’s a recipe for disaster when it comes to well-fitting footwear. Over the years, I’ve spent more money than I can fathom on shoes that pinch my toes, give me blisters, or end up being downright uncomfortable. So when a friend asked me for wide-width shoe recommendations the other day, I was embarrassed when I said I didn’t have any off the top of my head. Naturally, as a curious editor, I knew I needed to find out so I’m not empty-handed when asked next time.
Over the last three months, I’ve walked over 60 miles in New York, Seoul, Copenhagen, and Porto while testing some of the best wide-fit shoes on the market. My requirements? Only two: They have to be comfortable enough that I last a full 12 hours in them, and most importantly, they have to be cute. (No orthopedics here!)
From runway-ready slingbacks that don’t make me want to cut my feet off to sneakers so good Bella Hadid approves, these five wide-width shoes are the ones I firmly stand behind.
While I like my accessories trend-forward, I have to admit I’m a bit boring when it comes to my shoes. Maybe boring isn’t quite the word, but I like to keep the footwear in my rotation quite minimalist and straight to the point. I opt for timeless silhouettes and elevated classics that go with everything in my closet. Some days, though, after I scroll too far on Instagram, I’ll find myself lusting after a hyper-specific, incredibly niche footwear trend I set my heart on. Enter stage left the six fall shoe micro-trends that have been altering my brain chemistry since I saw them.
In lieu of my basic black ankle booties and simple leather flats, these six footwear trends are sure to make waves this season. If you’re looking to spice up your footwear drawer, look no further. Below, scroll for the best fall footwear micro-trends fashion people can’t seem to put down.

I recently decided I need to redo my wardrobe. Don’t get me wrong, I love my clothes, but it’s that time of the year when the seasons change drastically and nothing in my closet feels fresh. How will I remedy my situation? By shopping the ASOS Black Friday sale, of course!
Around a year ago, I bought a pair of black, knee-high, square-toe, western boots. Since then, they’ve become my all-time favorite pair of shoes and also the ones that have received the most compliments (no, seriously—it feels like people comment on them every week). People never expect my boots to be from ASOS, and honestly, same. But you’d be surprised by the retailer’s range of brands, designs, silhouettes, and aesthetics. After combing through its offerings, I know I sure am. So, allow me to enlighten you on the ASOS Black Friday sale and share how you can start saving early.

I’ve been searching for a sweater with a high neck that I can zip down, and I think I just found the one. I can picture this khaki option with a black puffer vest and wide-leg jeans or baggy jeans for the cutest winter ‘fit.
As a plus-size editor, I’ve done tremendous work over the years of curating a thoughtful yet stylish wardrobe full of trend-forward pieces and chic essentials that rival the closets of some of my straight-sized friends. With limited options at my disposal since I’m above a size US 12, there are only so many options I can choose from. Thankfully, as more and more of my favorite brands and stores embrace size inclusivity, the amount of trendy, cute clothing keeps on going up. While it may be bad for my wallet (whoops!), it certainly isn’t bad for the thousands of chic plus-size shoppers who are looking for clothing that isn’t boring, plain, or downright ill-fitting.
Now that winter is right around the corner and I’m swapping my light cardigans for heavy-duty outerwear, I’ve spent hours online tracking down the best plus-size coats and trendy size-inclusive outerwear options. Below, shop 25 trendy plus-size coats—from runway-inspired looks to quiet luxury–esque styles—if you’re itching for something cute to wear as the weather gets colder.
When you’re plus-size, sometimes it feels like you can only have two out of three corners in the fashion triangle: fits well, looks good, and doesn’t cost the price of a mortgage on a house. Thankfully for you, my entire life has bee on finding well-priced yet incredibly stylish finds for me and my friends—especially for the people in my life itching to look on-trend while being above standard U.S. sizes.
While it certainly isn’t easy to find cute, affordable plus-size clothing, there’s more than meets the eye. Every year, retailers are adding more and more inclusive ranges onto their sites, with our editors’ tried-and-true retailers like J.Crew, Mango, and H&M all expanding well past a U.S. size 12.
Below, shop 32 affordable and chic plus-size clothing finds that took me hours to dig out of the internet’s best stores. From cozy knits to deliciously trendy denim, these pieces are too good to say no to.
It’s time to stop sleeping on Zara’s sister store, Bershka. Here, you can find the same on-trend styles you love from the Spanish company, mixed with the basics you go back for at Brandy Melville. Please note though that since it’s geared toward a younger consumer, sizes run a bit small.
In a year filled with denim skirts, sheer skirts, ruffled skirts, and floor-sweeping maxi skirts, I’m going against the grain to admit something that, potentially, might get me in some hot water: There’s nothing better than a plain ol’, simple miniskirt.
While you can (insert any random statistic here) about shorter hemlines leading to more spending power, I don’t need a mathematical theory telling me it’s a good financial decision to pick up a miniskirt to wear with my favorite trendy items this fall. While wearing a simple, tailored short skirt can seem like it borders on the edge of being boring, there are plenty of ways to integrate all this year’s fall trends into your outfit and keep the classic silhouette feeling incredibly fresh. From fiery pops of color our editors can’t stop thinking about to industrial details Miuccia Prada already gave a shout-out to during a recent Prada runway show, these 10 miniskirt outfit ideas might have hitting the checkout button before you know what hit you.
As a fashion editor and plus-size fashion devotee, I spend A LOT of time browsing through offerings of countless brands that claim to cater to the plus-size fashion person. Over time I have found I keep returning back to specific brands. I’ll keep up with the latest product drops and releases or kill time by digging through the sites to find the next perfect addition to my closet. I have come to count on Eloquii, H&M, Anthropologie, and ASOS for most of my dressing needs.
During my most recent browsing session, I saw so many new pieces from these top retailers that I wanted to share with you. Keep scrolling to check out the best AND newest styles from Eloquii, H&M, Anthropologie, and ASOS. Ahead shop lovely spring dresses, gorgeous breathable knits, and the cutest bathing suits for your next vacation.
As a fashion editor, it’s fair to say that I see tons of exciting brands on a daily basis. I spend my days grazing the Internet for the best new products and some of my favorite brands are found on ASOS. Of course, I then find myself in a rabbithole of similar products and choice brands on the site that leads to a full cart.
It truly is a gold mine of cost-effective yet trendy pieces in a range of sizes. Whether you’re looking for a brand name pair of sneakers, a fun new bag, or a bargain piece of outerwear, the options are endless. Not to mention, plenty of amazing denim options–both traditional and trendy.
I’ve shared this week’s rabbithole below for shopping the best affordable pieces on ASOS right now.
Spring is approaching! Next time you look up it’ll be all April showers bringing May flowers. As I type this article, it’s a balmy 60 degrees outside. Practically Bermuda-esque weather for New York.
And while it may snow next week, this weather has me looking forward to those cute outfits I can debut in the spring. 2022 winter fashion brought us apres-ski chic and lace detailing, but I’m anticipating some big changes in the fashion world as the weather warms up. People are feeling risky…I can tell.
The weather is getting warmer and jeans are getting tighter. Don’t panic, we aren’t diving into the deep end and bringing back skinny jeans or jeggings. It’s all about a straight leg or minimal bootcut flare.
Multiple Fashion Weeks have come and gone, and I have a good picture of what retailers are about to push out in stores soon. 2023 spring fashion trends include heavy denim and satin-style cargo pants. With an emphasis on casual comfort and pants with lots of pockets, spring 2023 fashion will look very familiar.
If you’re looking to catch the spring trends a little early this year, look no further. I’ve scoured every page of Vogue and every paparazzi shot of off-duty models like Hailey Bieber and Emily Ratajkowski. And I’ve most definitely kept up with the Kardashians, our ever-present trend dictators.
An Excessive Amount Of Pockets

Whether it be a pair of cargo pants or a mini-skirt, anticipate the cargo-style pocket to be sewn on. We are focusing on Y2K style again, as always. All different types of cargo pants like satin will be on trend.
Pair your cargo pants with a cropped baby tee for the ultimate Y2K resurgence. We want enough pockets that you could arguably fit multiple phones and wallets at once.
90’s Style Strapless Tops
Reformation Clothing
We all know and love the strapless top, but the 90’s style involves a looser top. They pair well with the ever-so-highly debated low-rise jeans, which are still trending. It’s a bit more flowy and forgiving than a tight top, so I’m a fan.
This type of top reminds me of the early 2000’s red carpet style. Tuck it into high waisted jeans for a tucked in look that’s perfect for spring weather.
Full Denim Fits & Skinnier Jeans
Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake may have been the founders of the full denim fit, but it looks like we’re bringing it back this spring. Denim strapless tops, denim accents, everything is all denim. You’ll also see less of the baggy style jeans and more fitted, straight leg styles.
These Levi’s are perfect for this spring’s hottest pair of denim, and if you’re looking for a fun denim addition to your closet, try this top.
Lingerie-Inspired Detailing

We’re back to playing the “is-it-lingerie-or-is-it-acceptable-to-wear-in-public” game. Think all lace bodysuits and mesh everything. Slip dresses with lace applique and deep v cuts will be the star of the show.
If you have to question whether you bought it in the underwear section of the store, you’re probably right on trend. Lingerie-inspired clothing is back and if you want a more understated look, throw on an oversized blazer and tailored menswear style pants.
Quilted Jackets
Street Style, Spring Summer 2021, Milan Fashion Week, Italy

Vogue says if you have one jacket this spring, make it a quilted one. And since our fashion Bible says a shell coat can be the perfect transitional weather piece, we must listen. The quilted jacket has been worn by Gigi Hadid, and can be layered on top of your favorite sweater.
This quilted jacket by ASOS is my favorite piece in this article. As someone who was a big fan of the shacket, the quilted jacket is a more elevated approach on a spring favorite.
Silks & Satins
I’ve seen a bunch of silk cargo pants online when browsing, but that’s not all. We’re bringing back the low-rise silk maxi skirt that’s reminiscent of every beach commercial ever. It’s an essential piece for a brunch outfit or the transitional weather we’ll be experiencing.
I like this satin mini for weekends out on the town with a moto jacket (also a spring favorite), and this silk maxi for a bottomless mimosa brunch with friends.
Since September, every Sunday has been reserved for football. It’s the only subject anyone can talk about: the all-consuming, seemingly endless football season that has America in a chokehold…and I’m no exception.
While the games themselves are worth the watch, one of the most highly anticipated events this season is the reveal Gameday Fit. It comes before the game when the players arrive at the facility in their literal Sunday Best….and the players are coming to serve.
The Tunnel is the new Runway. Some of the best players in the NFL sport bold colors, fun prints, standout shoes, vests, and ski masks. Others choose leathers, oversized sweaters, and iced-out chains. Regardless, the men of the National Football League are showing they have talent and style.
We’re in a new era of men’s fashion where we’ve begun holding men to higher standards. Instead of just the trusty sweatpants and t-shirt combo we’d have normally expected, we’ve come to expect an ostentatious Gameday Fit. It’s each player’s chance to let their personality shine through before they shove into their pads for 3 and a half hours.
NFL stars like the Buffalo Bills’ wide receiver, Stefon Diggs, are known for donning insane fits that rival fashion week. And we’re not the only ones paying attention, GQ now has readers voting for the NFL’s Most Stylish Player 2023 – much like they did for the NBA and winner Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
GQ
Amongst a star-studded bracket with names like Travis Kelce, Ceedee Lamb, and Saquon Barkley, the resounding winner was the Philadelphia Eagles’ wide receiver Devonta Smith. Smith defeated Stefon Diggs in the final round of voting. While Smith looks forward to the Super Bowl this upcoming Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, I’m sure this award is equally important to him.
If you want to find a menswear outfit that could give Joe Burrow’s Cartier glasses a run for their money…here are our fave gameday-inspired fits.
Dress Like Joe Burrow
Cartier glasses, fur jackets, floral suits, and turtlenecks with an icy chain a la The Rock…he has the nickname “Joe Shiesty” for a reason. One of his most iconic looks, when asked if his diamonds were real he responded “I make too much money for them to be fake.”
An easy way to elevate your look is with a statement jacket and sunglasses. While your diamonds may not be real, you can still achieve the Joey B look with ease. All you need is a chain, this oversized fur bomber, a black turtleneck, and rectangle-frame glasses for the Joey B look.
Dress Like Devonta Smith
Devonta Smith has a Heisman Trophy, an NCAA Championship, and some of the finest fashion taste under his belt. King of the wide brim hat and fitted suit, he is always looking polished…down to his tie complementing his bag.
If you want the “Skinny Batman” look, Smith is a fan of matching his colorway from head-to-toe. If you’re wearing pink, include subtle accents throughout your entire outfit…not just the suit. These Ralph Lauren Shorts and Blazer pair perfectly with Nike Air Force 1’s to complete a Devonta-esque outfit.
Dress Like Stefon Diggs
Credited as the king of NFL fashion to many, Stefon Diggs never misses. A fan of the bomber jacket, layering and experimenting with oversized pieces, and an advocate for crossbody bags…but he never regrets a fit. He told GQ,
“Hell, no. If I put it on, then it was the right shit. [laughs] I don’t regret any fit. I look at all my fits like, “That was the time in my life when I felt like that was okay.”
Dress like SD with a pair of oversized jeans, a bomber jacket, and t-shirt for a relaxed, comfortable fit that still serves.
Dress Like Jason Kelce
It wouldn’t be an NFL fashion article with Philadelphia’s Jason Kelce, who will meet his brother Travis in the Super Bowl next week. The Kelce Bowl is all the rage right now, but may I introduce you to one of the best dressed players in the league?
Kelce is known for saying things like “I’m not here to play dress up” when wearing flip flops on gameday. He’s famously dressed as Doug Whitmore from 50 First Dates or in an Ocean Drive shirt (a Sea Isle City, NJ bar where Kelce holds fundraisers). If you want to dress like the older Kelce, buy a pair of Rainbows and cut your jeans to short length…it’s about fun and comfort.
Dress Like Travis Kelce
Jason’s younger brother, Kansas City tight end, Travis Kelce, has his own clothing line “Tru Kolors,” selling 90’s-inspired athleisure. He wears different styles of peacoats, experiments with different prints, and is not afraid of accessorizing. Travis has always been interested in fashion outside of football.
A Travis Kelce look is not complete without a statement peacoat like this one. From there, don’t be afraid to accessorize with chains, watches, sunglasses, and hats. It’s an easy way to spice up any old “basic” outfit.
We fashion editors are often asked about how to curate the perfect wardrobe, and the answer is often the same: versatility. In an ideal world, your wardrobe should include some timeless, premium pieces mixed in amongst more affordable trend-led items (extra points for any vintage and secondhand pieces you can wear). This mix of brands and price points will help your clothing will reflect your personality, and above all else, dressing in a way that is true to you is what makes fashion fun.
That being said, I totally understand the appeal of building a capsule wardrobe from just one store. First of all, it’s an effective use of your time. (No one wants to traipse around the shops or endlessly scroll through every new-in section.) And secondly, pieces from the same store tend to look seamlessly pulled together as we know all too well that a brand’s honed aesthetic can make or break your chances of shopping success. Two of the brands that we spend the most time looking at are ASOS and H&M. The sites are veritable treasure troves of new-in pieces ranging from affordable takes on runway trends to everyday basics, so there’s an overwhelming amount to sift through. That’s where we step in. Below, I’ve assembled five expensive-looking outfits that are guaranteed to work for every occasion in your social calendar.
