Amazon is the place to discover and buy everything and anything, whether it’s the best beauty products, stylish home decor, or even the latest in fashion. And yes, we’ve all flocked to the site to immediately order items we’ve been seeing all over TikTok. Amazon has everything from cozy loungewear and reliable jeans to gorgeous wedding-guest dresses and the cutest swimwear. While the retailer is known for being the place to find dupes of popular styles, it also produces its own line of stylish clothing, accessories, and shoes, called The Drop.

Amazon’s in-house fashion line collaborates with popular influencers, fashion bloggers, and designers to create limited-edition collections made from high-quality materials in a wide range of sizing from XXS to 5X. Whether you lean cool and casual, love colorful prints and patterns, or gravitate toward something tailored and city chic, The Drop features a wide variety of styles and vibes to choose from, featuring on-trend pieces that are easily accessible. Although its intent was to have limited-run collections, the line also features a section of wardrobe essentials and bestselling styles that stay in stock because of their popularity.

To truly see if The Drop is worth the hype, three of our editors got to pick out a few styles from The Drop’s Staple collection and try them out so you can see how they look on different body types. Plus, we gave our rundown on the quality, sizing, and fit of each and every piece. Whether it’s a flattering dress or comfy sweater pants, we reviewed it all, including accessories and shoes. Keep reading to see what styles we got, how we styled them, and our honest thoughts about our selections.

  • Law Roach on Stepping Into Creative Direction at the Falguni Shane Peacock Show

Law Roach on Stepping Into Creative Direction at the Falguni Shane Peacock Show

    [ad_1]

Feathers, sequins, gems, prints: Falguni Shane Peacock is known for bringing glamour and opulence to the global fashion space with Indian craftsmanship and contemporary silhouettes. Their New York Fashion Week Spring 2024 show combined those house codes with a quintessential New York City flair, thanks to creative direction by image architect Law Roach. In collaboration with Roach, the husband-and-wife design duo was excited to make their grand return to NYFW after 8 years, with Shane Peacock previously telling POPSUGAR, “When we left off, the passion was at a very different level; it was still a delicate, couture kind of a vibe. Showing at New York Fashion Week today, it’s more street.” It’s with that vision in mind that the Peacocks brought on Law Roach to creative direct their “2.0” Spring 2024 collection.

The designers, who count Priyanka Chopra and Sarah Jessica Parker as fans, saw Roach as a perfect fit. “As a brand, we’re very rebellious, we’re luxury, we’re young, and I think that goes with Law,” Shane Peacock told POPSUGAR after the show. “He has a great sense of style, great sense of creative direction, and that’s what we needed for the brand.” Falguni Peacock also raved about Law’s singular sense of style, explaining: “We wanted to have couture meet street, and he just had the right vision for it.”

Roach found the creative director role invigorating, noting that the process was collaborative from start to finish. “I wasn’t just given a bunch of clothes, I’m gonna put them on a bunch of girls,” he explained. “It was like, ‘what is your opinion on this?’ I sent references. We went back and forth. We fought a little. Shane and I, we fought a little, but I won in the end. But I was a part of the whole process and I think that’s what being a creative director is.”

Keep scrolling to learn more about the inspiration behind the Falguni Shane Peacock Spring 2024 collection — from hair to design — and Roach’s role in bringing it all to life.

  • The Viral Senreve Crossbody Bag Is Quiet Luxury Made Accessible

The Viral Senreve Crossbody Bag Is Quiet Luxury Made Accessible

As POPSUGAR editors, we independently select and write about stuff we love and think you’ll like too. If you buy a product we have recommended, we may receive affiliate commission, which in turn supports our work.

After constantly rewatching Sophia Richie Grainge ‘s TikTok page, my feed has been flooded with quiet luxury fashion inspiration, and I’m officially engrossed in LuxuryTok. Although I enjoy watching luxury bloggers review the most coveted handbags (yes, specifically the Hermes Birkin journey), I’ve noticed a niche intersection of quiet luxury meets midrange designer bags that exude contemporary and innovative design and European craftsmanship.

One brand I’ve been seeing all over my social feeds, and on the streets of NYC is Senreve, specifically the effortless and elevated Cadence Crossbody ($695). As someone who almost exclusively wears crossbody bags, I was immediately drawn to it, but what really piqued my interest is how it can convert into a shoulder bag. After seeing the rave reviews on the quality and versatility of Senreve’s Cadence Crossbody, I had to try it out for myself, and I chose to go with the pebbled genuine leather in cream.

What I Like About the Senreve Cadence Crossbody:

    Main Image

The moment I started wearing the Cadence Crossbody out and about, it’s been the one thing everyone’s been noticing — even chopping off my long hair and getting a lob couldn’t take the attention away from this bag. From its rounded, sleek silhouette to its spacious interior, this handbag has been garnering plenty of compliments. What stood out to me is its craftsmanship that’s timeless and durable while maintaining its elegance and clean-lined look. The materials used are durable, scratch, stain, and water-resistant, and the hardware is 14k plated gold. You can tell that it was a thoughtfully designed piece that merges practicality with style.

The bag is structured with a minimalist look. However, it’s spacious enough to fit a six-inch tablet, and all your everyday essentials, whether it’s keys, wallet, phone, power bank, mini sunscreens, hand sanitizer, lip balms, pill box, and even a small water bottle. The interior has one large compartment in the middle and two smaller ones, including a button pocket for keeping things secure. Plus, there’s also a key leash. The back of the bag also has an exterior pocket, where I like to store my Metrocards for easy access.

    POPSUGAR Photography | Anvita Reddy

What makes the Senreve Cadence Crossbody special is its adjustable strap construction. You can convert this from a crossbody to a shoulder bag by simply adjusting the leather strap to the desired length you need. During the daytime or more casual events, I like to wear it as a crossbody so I can be hands-free. I also opt for crossbody wear, when I’m wearing a midi or maxi dress. When I have to head to dinner or want to dress it up, I wear it as a shoulder bag or on the crutch of my arm. No matter how you wear the bag, the excess strap can be secured to the bag with the belt loops surrounding the sides and bottom of the bag, maintaining the clean-lined, refined look. You can even remove the leather strap completely and add on a chain strap for a more glam look, or use the leather strap as a belt.

What’s Worth Noting About the Senreve Cadence Crossbody:

There’s so much to love about Senreve’s Cadence Crossbody there are barely any drawbacks. But, it’s worth noting that this handbag has a sturdy, stiff construction, so it will hold its shape and stand on its own, but it’s not as flexible or malleable as softer leather handbags. It might be a little difficult to open up the interior compartments and the exterior back pocket, especially when you first get the bag. Likewise, adjusting the crossbody strap may take some more effort, specifically when you’re removing it from the hardware and sliding the excess into the belt loops. You’ll need to press down with some force to get the strap to be secure. Living in the city, I truly appreciate the Crescent clasp for its secure closure, however, it does take a little more effort to close the bag back after it’s been opened.

Who’s the Senreve Cadence Crossbody Best For?

The Senreve Cadence Crossbody is perfect for those who want a quality, crafted everyday handbag. It’s contemporary and fits the quiet luxury aesthetic while being a practical purchase with its spacious interior, durable construction, and its adjustable strap. The handbag is a versatile option as well since you can dress it up or down and carry it a certain way, depending on what your day consists of. It’s ideal for those on the go, who travel often, appreciate craftsmanship and design, or want something elevated and minimal that goes with practically everything.

Is the Senreve Cadence Crossbody Worth the Splurge?

If you’re in the market for a high-quality midrange luxury bag, the Cadence Crossbody is worth every penny. Honestly speaking, the craftsmanship of this bag surpasses some of my $1,000+ designer handbags. Its durability and design are unmatched by most of what’s in the market, whether you opt for genuine leather or vegan leather options. It’s a truly resilient piece that will stand the test of time and the elements. It can fit all your essentials while looking refined and elegant. It’s a bag you’ll definitely put to use often, especially with its convertible strap.

    Additional Details:

    • The handbag is made from genuine Italian leather that is scratch-, stain-, and water-resistant. It has a micro-suede interior that is also stain-resistant.
    • The Cadence Crossbody from Senreve comes in three leather types: pebbled leather, vegan amica, which has a crocodile-like embossed texture, and vegan terra, which is made from plant-based proteins and has a smoother texture.
    • Depending on the leather type, you can choose from 14 color options, and the hardware is gold-toned.
    • It is 6.5 inches tall, nine inches wide, and four inches deep.
    • The bag has a double flap closure with the brand’s signature Crescent clasp.

Where is the Senreve Cadence Crossbody Available?

The Senreve Cadence Crossbody is available on the brand’s site.

Target is one of our all-time favorite places to shop; after all, who can resist the elevated home decor and furniture offerings, the expansive beauty section, and of course its fashion offerings — all at an affordable price point?! We’re especially impressed with the retailer’s wide assortment of high-quality chic clothing and accessories, whether it’s
gorgeous dresses , the ultra-soft Stars Above pajamas, or comfortable footwear, like the editor- and TikTok-loved Blakely Rhinestone Mule Heels. However, when it comes to experimenting with our personal style, we always turn to the brand’s Future Collective line.

Target’s Future Collective is an apparel and accessories line that partners with various style and culture influencers to create a limited-edition, trend-driven collection. This is the collection to browse if you’re looking to add something unique to your closet. Target previously worked with style expert Kahlana Barfield Brown, NYC-based fashion editor and stylist Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, and Brooklyn-based fashion creative Alani Noelle. Blutstein’s Future Collective collection is perfect for the fall with tailored blazers and trench coats, cardigans and chunky sweaters, and casual yet statement-making denim. The line will add that quintessential autumnal vibe to your wardrobe, whether it’s a flowy pleated midi dress that lends itself to layering or closet staples like a button-down bodysuit. • “RHONY”‘s Jessel Taank Shares Her Must Haves: From a Givenchy Diaper Bag to Paravel Luggage

“RHONY”‘s Jessel Taank Shares Her Must Haves: From a Givenchy Diaper Bag to Paravel Luggage

    [ad_1]

As POPSUGAR editors, we independently select and write about stuff we love and think you’ll like too. If you buy a product we have recommended, we may receive affiliate commission, which in turn supports our work.

Jessel Taank is making a splash on our TVs as a new cast member in season 14 of “The Real Housewives of New York,” but deciding to be a part of the hit franchise wasn’t easy. “Being Indian and from a private culture, it definitely took a lot of back-and-forth and a lot of conversations, but the more I spoke to NBC and Bravo and the powers that be, the more I was like, this could be an amazing opportunity because there’s never been an Indian in this position before,” she says. Taank is a fashion publicist and founder of PR firm The Know — and this is her first time appearing on a reality show. “I’m gonna show what a modern Indian woman first generation living in the United States looks like.”

Being the first-ever Indian-origin Housewife on Bravo inspired her tagline, which she says in the show’s opening sequence: “I always bring the flavor. It’s not my fault you don’t have any taste.” Coming up with the now-iconic line wasn’t easy. “Choosing a tagline is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do,” she says. “How do you find one sentence that packages you as a person and then you share that with the entire country and the world?!”

Taank got recommendations from NBC and a few friends, but most suggestions had the word “spice” in it, a cliché attached to Indian culture that she didn’t want to spotlight. A good friend who happens to be a writer penned her official tagline, and Taank loves that it’s a subtle nod to her roots while also speaking to her connection with fashion and style. “I thought it was really fun. It’s a little bit cheeky and not cheesy — we already don’t like cheese,” she says.

But the tagline was just the beginning. Taank acknowledges there were also challenges behind the scenes, like feeling pressure to be perfect. “I think everyone’s so nervous and you have to be this perfect person and especially Indian women, you have to be this perfect version of what an Indian woman is,” she explains. “I can honestly say the pressure of all of that is so overwhelming, you can be real and authentic and transparent about what you’re going through. It’s OK.” Taank is pleasantly surprised by the support she’s been receiving from the South Asian community, noting that although the community are their biggest critics, they do come together and support each other.

Whether it’s speaking on her IVF journey or how her relationship with her husband is portrayed on the show, Taank has no regrets about being authentic to who she is. “If I can empower people with this platform and the show, that’s all I care about.” Taank has specifically endured criticism about the state of her marriage and sex life, including divorce speculation. Addressing the topic, she tells POPSUGAR: “A lot of people are questioning my husband, Pavit, and I right now . . . He has been the biggest pillar of strength for me for my family. I just need readers to know that, having a partner that’s supportive and is always by your side is the only reason I actually got through this in the way that I did.”

As someone who works in fashion, it’s no surprise that Taank’s personal style is one to emulate. But fans might be shocked to learn she frequents one of the most affordable fast-fashion retailers. “First of all, don’t sleep on Zara,” she says. “If you just need staples, I just go there; the white T-shirt, the denim jeans, it’s so good.” She also loves shopping at Revolve and Fwrd for more contemporary brands and special occasion dresses, and she’s currently loving the work of New York-based designer Ronny Kobo.

Her style philosophy involves embracing bold accessories, from handbags to jewelry. “Everything I do, I do it with a little bit of a twist, so it’s always accessorized to make it a statement, or my earrings will always be very flamboyant. I do think the accessorizing is key,” she says. Taank is never worried about being overdressed and points out that fashion in New York is all about the freedom of self-expression. “You can be truly who you want to be . . . and no one’s gonna judge you here.” And if they do, the critique better come from someone like “RHONY” castmate Jenna Lyons.

Lyons, a revered style icon and J.Crew’s former executive creative director and president, gave Taank pointed style advice in episode two. When Taank wore two logo-heavy items at once, Lyons quipped: “Wait, no. You can’t wear Alexander Wang on your back and Balenciaga on your bag.” Taank tells POPSUGAR she wasn’t offended. “[Lyons] was 100 percent right, I’m glad she checked me. Thank god she didn’t let me go out like that; it would have been over,” Taank says. “She has this style sensibility that truly is just like she can do no wrong in my eyes.”

Taank’s passion for fashion goes beyond the show, as she’s in the process of launching Oushq, a retail platform for South Asian and Middle Eastern designers. She wants to streamline the shopping process by offering standard sizing with optional tailoring services, two- to three-day shipping times, and a vast selection of up-and-coming designers. “Indian fashion is taking a global stage. We’re having a moment with Gaurav Gupta, who’s seen on every single red carpet right now. It’s mind-blowing, and he’s showed in Paris Couture Week. The same goes for Rahul Mishra dressing Zendaya.” Taank wants to showcase Indian fashion on a bigger scale and bring more designers to the US market, emphasizing that it’s not just a platform for South Asian and Middle Eastern shoppers. Some of her favorite designers and brands include Abhishek Sharma, Kamaali Couture, and Papa Don’t Preach by Shubhika Sharma.

When she’s not giving British banter on “RHONY,” she’s spending time with her husband and her adorable twin boys, as well as watching “Love Island.” Ahead, she shared her current favorite products, including a Givenchy diaper bag and a lightweight moisturizer.

Whether you’re a handbag connoisseur or a lover of luxury, we all know that the Hermès Birkin Bag is the most sought-after fashion item on the market, making it the crème de la crème of luxury goods. The iconic handbag is crafted with premium leather and precious metals; plus, each and every bag is handmade by skilled artisans. It is named after the late English actress and singer Jane Birkin, after expressing her need for a leather bag that is both practical and stylish to Jean-Louis Dumas, the chief executive of Hermès at that time. Inspired by the conversation, Dumas created the leather bag and named it after her, and the rest is history. Its elegant structured silhouette, featuring double rolled handles, is recognizable on A-listers and the ultra-wealthy alike, but the true allure of this bag is its exclusivity.

The waiting list to acquire a Birkin bag from the brand directly can be notoriously long, with some enthusiasts waiting for years to get their hands on one. Although there are plenty of YouTube videos, TikToks, and articles about how Birkin owners got their coveted bag, there’s no guarantee that you’ll get one, even with a spending history with the brand. However, all is not lost in the quest of procuring a Birkin — you can always shop the reseller market (and guarantee you’re getting the size and color of your liking.)

The timeless design, impeccable craftsmanship, and exclusivity have made the Hermès Birkin a symbol of luxury and sophistication. As fashion trends come and go, the Hermès Birkin is a piece of fashion that is truly timeless from generation to generation and only grows in value. Ahead, we curated some of the best Birkins you can buy secondhand from What Goes Around Comes Around, a premiere vintage and luxury reseller.

  • From Herbal Tea to a Bomber Jacket, Shop Falguni and Shane Peacock’s Must-Have Products

From Herbal Tea to a Bomber Jacket, Shop Falguni and Shane Peacock’s Must-Have Products

    [ad_1]

As POPSUGAR editors, we independently select and write about stuff we love and think you’ll like too. If you buy a product we have recommended, we may receive affiliate commission, which in turn supports our work.

Designers and creative directors Falguni Peacock and Shane Peacock have carved a niche for themselves in the global fashion space with their traditional Indian craftsmanship, contemporary silhouettes, and glamorous aesthetic. You’ve probably seen creations from their brand on red carpets and in music videos worn by everyone from Lady Gaga to Beyoncé. Priyanka Chopra and several other celebrities wore their opulent designs at last year’s South Asian Excellence pre-Oscars celebration, plus you can spot one of their gorgeous lehengas on Sarah Jessica Parker in season one of “And Just Like That.” The Indian fashion house has always had a global approach from its inception in 2004, and we spoke to the designers behind the brand Falguni Shane Peacock about building their namesake label, their comeback to New York Fashion Week, and their current must-have products.

The husband-and-wife duo initially had two separate brands. “After we got married, it didn’t make sense to have two different brands. If it’s the same thing we both want, then why not do it together?” Falguni says. They decided to join forces and create their namesake label. The brand caters to both the South Asian market and the global market with its wide array of offerings. “We do Indian couture, we do western ready-to-wear and western couture, advanced contemporary. We’re going to start a line of accessories, too,” Falguni says. “We always designed for a well-traveled, modern woman who knew what she’s wearing,” Shane says. “She wears her traditional sarees, but she also does the modern part in terms of styling,” Falguni adds. The designers’ signature style is modern elegance, and most of their inspiration comes from traveling to truly capture that global essence, which is a core part of the brand’s DNA.

Falguni and Shane’s line started as resort wear, and at their first show in India, that collection got bought by Harrods, Villa Moda, and other global stores. They then showcased at Miami Fashion Week and LA Fashion Week. “We jumped to London fashion week, and that’s when our sensibilities, our styling, everything approach towards fashion changed. We went from a resort brand to an edgy brand,” Shane says. Around this time is when their designs were grabbing the attention of celebrities, and it inspired them to start showing at New York Fashion Week up until 2015. Although the brand is global, Falguni and Shane knew they needed to focus on building the brand in India, so they took a break from the Fashion Week shows in 2016. Falguni notes that since India is booming, it was the perfect time to grow in the that market and build brand recognition and storefronts all over the country. “What’s the point of you being so famous, if you’re not famous in your own country?” Shane points out. Now their brand is one of the most sought-after for South Asian bridal wear and more.

This year, the designers are making their comeback to New York Fashion Week, and they’ve never been more excited. “When we left off, the passion was at a very different level; it was still delicate, couture kind of a vibe. Showing at New York Fashion today, it’s more street. We’re in a time where I don’t think gendered clothing matters anymore,” Shane says. Falguni points out that the world is so much more connected, especially with Instagram in the mix: “It’s going to be an interesting space to show in.” Most recently, they showed at Indian Couture Week, complete with a Barbiecore-inspired showstopper worn by Bollywood actress Kiara Advani.

Falguni and Shane are both very passionate about their work, which makes working together a flourishing partnership. “Our personal lives and our work lives are so tangled that we don’t know whether we travel for vacation or went to work. Some work trips feel like a vacation, and vacation also feels like work because we are talking about work,” he says. When they’re not building a global design house and dressing your favorite celebs, they love to watch movies and often get inspired by them. “There are times when we’ve just taken a break from work and told everyone we’re just coming in one hour, we have a meeting, but we’ve gone, watched a movie instead,” Falguni says. From bold red lipstick to foldable sunglasses and their favorite pieces from their line, Falguni and Shane share current must-have products ahead.
