    A special screening was held for the celebs for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Abhishek Bachchan had tagged along with Shweta Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan for the movie. While he shared the review of the Karan Johar movie, he did not talk about his mother’s performance but praised the new movie collectively. When recently, he was told about the thumbs up from the audience, Abhishek seemed in a mood to jest. He gushed saying “That’s good to hear,” but adds, “Go tell her in parliament,” and laughed, reports Pinkvilla.     He mentions that he watched the movie with his mother. Abhishek says that for him, Jaya Bachchan is the only family member who he cannot view as an actor. The Dasvi actor shares that he can see his father, Amitabh Bachchan and his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as performers and actors but that’s not the case with Jaya Bachchan. He says that it is too emotional for him. “The relationship between a mother and a son, or any child and a parent, is just that. I always view her as my mother, so it is very difficult for me to judge her,” he tells India Today.     On Monday, megastar Amitabh Bachchan took to social media and informed his fans about taking a lift from an unknown person to reach his work location faster. He shared a picture of himself sitting on a bike with the person. On the other hand, Anushka Sharma too was spotted taking a bike ride with her bodyguard after a roadblock. However, both actors were not seen wearing helmets. Soon after Big B’s picture and Anushka’s videos surfaced on the Internet, netizens were seen tagging Mumbai Police.

    Taking to Instagram, Big B shared, “Thank you for the ride buddy .. don’t know you .. but you obliged and got me on time to location of work .. faster and in avoidance of the unsolvable traffic jams .. thank you capped, shorts and yellowed T-shirt owner.” 

    Social media users were quick to tag Mumbai Police and remind them that the veteran actor was not wearing a helmet. A user wrote, “Missing helmets for both rider and pillion. @MumbaiPolice please take note!” Reacting to the same, Mumbai Police wrote, “We have shared this with traffic branch.”

    Similarly, when Anushka‘s video was shared, a user wrote, “@MumbaiPolice No helmet?” In reply, they informed that they have shared the same with the traffic branch.

    Work front

    Amitabh Bachchan has resumed work after recovering from his injury. He was injured on the sets of Project K while shooting for an action scene. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film also stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani in key roles. The film is slated to release in January 2024. Apart from this, Big B has Ribhu Dasgupta’s next courtroom drama, Section 84. He will also feature in Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s Ganapath. 

    On the other hand, Anushka was last seen in Zero alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. She made a special appearance in Triptii Dimri and Babil Khan’s Qala recently. This year, she will be seen returning to films with Chakda ‘Xpress. It will be her first film after her daughter Vamika’s birth.

    In an interview with Times of India, actor-filmmaker Karan Razdan said ‘In his heart, Satish always wanted to make Tere Naam 2 with Salman Khan. He didn’t talk much about it but he used to praise Salman a lot, because he had helped Satish a lot even during the making of Kaagaz.’ He further revealed that Satish was planning to do a film with Amitabh Bachchan as well. He said ‘I think he was planning a film with Amitabh Bachchan, at least that is what was there in his head. He was planning a film with Neena Gupta, which later he scrapped because of the political atmosphere. He told me that he was planning something big with Amitji. I don’t know what stage it had reached though. He spoke a bit about Amitji’s film to me in the past few months. But I could not ask him at what stage his plan had reached.’

    Meanwhile, Satish Kaushik’s last rites were performed in Mumbai. Several celebs like Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Shilpa Shetty, Shehnaaz Gill, Arjun Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, Javed Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, Pankaj Tripathi, Satish Shah, Ishaan Khatter and more were seen attending the funeral. Satish Kaushik was last seen attending Javed Akhtar’s Holi party in the city. He even shared happy pictures from the party with Richa Chadha, Ali Fazal and other celebs.

    Amitabh Bachchan has suffered an injury on the sets of his upcoming film Project K. The megastar informed fans about the same via his blog, in which he wrote that he was shooting for an action scene for Project K in Hyderabad, when he got injured. Big B shared his health update, revealing that his rib cartilage is broken, and that the right rib cage suffered a muscle tear. The shoot was canceled after Big B was injured, and he was flown back to Mumbai.

    In his blog post, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “In Hyderabad at the shoot for Project K, during an action shot, I have got injured .. rib cartilage popped broke and muscle tear to the right rib cage .. canceled shoot.” Big B shared that he consulted a doctor and did a CT scan at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad, post which he has ‘flown back home’ to Mumbai.

    “Strapping has been done and rest been advocated .. yes painful .. on movement and breathing .. will take some weeks they say before some normalisation will occur .. some medication is on also for pain ..,” wrote Amitabh Bachchan. He further shared that all his upcoming work and projects have been either suspended, cancelled, dropped or postponed for the moment until he heals.

    Amitabh Bachchan wrote that while he is able to move a bit for essential activities, he is mostly resting and ‘generally lying around’ at his home Jalsa. I shall be unable to meet, the well wishers at Jalsa Gate this evening .. so do not come .. and do inform as much as you can to those that intend coming .. All else is well .. “ wrote Big B.

    Helmed by Nag Ashwin, the pan-Indian film Project K also stars Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. It is expected to hit the screens on January 12, 2024.

Talking about the same in The Romantics, Rishi Kapoor shares, “Yash ji didn’t know how to approach Sridevi.     The superstar issued a letter that states anyone infringing his personality or celebrity rights would face legal action. Lawyer Harish Salve on behalf of the actor issued a petition against those using his image, voice, and personality traits without his written permission. Well, this is not new, brands tend to use the identity of popular stars to promote their business and mint large sum amount.

    On the work front, Rajinikanth aka Thalaivaa will be next seen in a much-awaited film titled Jailer. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar it stars Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles. The film will have a special appearance of Drishyam actor Mohanlal.

Big B’s height is one of his most distinguishing characteristics because many people relate it to his on screen persona. Amitabh told a story from his school days when a little participant on the show complained about her short height.

    He said he would get beaten up by his seniors, due to his height.  “Boxing was mandatory in our school and because of my height, I was added to the senior’s list. Bahut maar khata tha main school mein (I used to get beaten up a lot) just because I was tall,” he said.

    In the recent promo of Kaun Banega Crorepati, Amitabh Bachchan was praising a contestant for her beautiful long hair. As Big B continued to shower praises, he recalled that one of the reasons why he chose to get married to Jaya was because of her “long hair”. 

    The promo started with Amitabh Bachchan appreciating contestant Priyanka’s hair. He said, “Priyanka ji jitne bhi humarein contestants aatein hai unse hum puchte hai ki aajkal ap kya kar rahe hai (Priyanka, we ask all our contestants about what they have been doing lately).” 

    Responding to this question posed by host Bachchan, Priyanka replied, “Mai beauty and wellness ki ek academy mein manager ki job karti hu (I work as a manager in a beauty and wellness brand.)” 

    It seemed that the Don actor then recalled one of his memorable incidents from his past. Amitabh said, “Devi ji apke jo kesh hai woh bahaut sundar hai (Ma’am, you have beautiful hair.)” Priyanka replied, “Thank you sir.” 

    Soon, the veteran actor jokingly revealed that he married Jaya Bachchan because she had long hair. He said, “Apni patni se humne vyah ek iss wajah se kiya tha ki unke kesh bahaut lambe the (One of the reasons I married my wife Jaya Bachchan is because she had long hair.)” Within a splash of seconds, Priyanka and the audience were laughing hard at knowing about this revelation.

    Amitabh Bachchan was recently seen in the film Uunchai wherein he played the lead role alongside actors Boman Irani, Anupam Kher, Sarika, and Neena Gupta. Parineeti Chopra also played a supporting role in the film. 

    Prior to this, he was seen in the film Brahmastra which was a huge hit at the box office. The film also starred Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. 

    He was also seen in the film Goodbye alongside actors Rashmika Mandanna and Neena Gupta in lead roles. Clearly, 2022 is a special year for Amitabh Bachchan. 

    Next year, Amitabh Bachchan is all set to make his debut in Telugu cinema in Project K directed by Nag Ashwin alongside Deepika Padukone and Prabhas.

    Sooraj Barjatya’s latest directorial venture Uunchai has crossed the Rs 10 crore mark at the box office. The film featuring actors like Anupam Kher and Amitabh Bachchan has collected Rs 10.16 crore so far. Uunchai minted Rs 1.81 crore on Friday, Rs 3.64 crore on Saturday, and Rs 4.71 crore on Sunday, according to film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh. 

    Adarsh tweeted, “Uunchai touches uunchai on Day 3…. Glowing word of mouth has come into play… Fantastic trending on limited screens/tight showcasing… Double-digit weekend indicates the power of content…. Friday Rs 1.81 crore, Saturday Rs 3.64 crore, Sunday Rs 4.71 crore. Total: Rs 10.16 crore.”

    Adarsh gave the film a three-and-a-half star rating and gave it a one-word review of heartwarming. He tweeted, “Sooraj R Barjatya delivers a straight-from-the-heart film that celebrates friendship and hope…. A simplistic plot treated with utmost simplicity, with drama and emotions [post-interval] being its USP.”

    He further noted that the film stands tall given its ensemble cast comprising Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, and Danny Denzongpa. Adarsh also states that despite its slow first half, the film works due to its second and third acts. 

    Uunchai focuses on a group of friends who leave the comfort of their homes to embark on a trek to the Everest Base Camp to fulfill their friend’s dying wish. The 60th film of Rajshri Productions features Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa, Neena Gupta, Nafisa Ali Sodhi, Sarika and Patineeti Chopra in significant roles.

    Uunchai, the much-awaited upcoming project produced by Rajshri Productions is gearing up for a grand release. Uunchai, which is directed by the senior filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya, revolves around three friends who take a trek to the Everest base camp. Both Akshay Kumar and Abhishek Bachchan also opted for casuals as they graced the event. Rani Mukerji looked gorgeous in a saree, while Kajol looked comfy in a maroon casual shirt and trousers. Leading lady Parineeti Chopra raised the temperature in an all-black look, while Madhuri Dixit looked ethereal in a golden embellished gown. Tiger Shroff opted for a black casual t-shirt, and denim trousers, which he paired with statement sunglasses.
