    [ad_1]

Whether you’re a minimalist, a maximalist, or somewhere in between, I think most of us would agree that the right piece of jewelry can really elevate a look. Some people gravitate toward statement necklaces to do the trick, while others prefer a sleek and simple pair of hoop earrings to complement their outfits.

With both ends of the spectrum in mind, I compiled a list of my five favorite underrated jewelry brands that my fellow fashion editors are all loving right now. Silver cuffs, gold earrings, colorful rings—you can find all of these and much more in my roundup below. And the prices are similarly diverse, with plenty of options under $200 and some investment-worthy pieces that are pure eye candy. Scroll down to shop my picks.

  • I Spent the Afternoon Shopping in NYC—I Won’t Be Forgetting These 23 Finds

I Spent the Afternoon Shopping in NYC—I Won’t Be Forgetting These 23 Finds

    [ad_1]

If you thought rent prices were a problem in New York City, try being a fashion editor living smack-dab in the center of its biggest shopping hub. It’s torture, especially recently, with so many of the industry’s coolest and most sought-after brands making SoHo their home after living mostly online. (Welcome to the neighborhood, Khaite, Toteme, Alaïa, Simkhai, and Cult Gaia!) Every day when I walk to get a coffee or pick up my prescription at the local CVS, I have to put physical effort into keeping my eyes forward and my attention away from temptation at every turn. But after a few weeks of good behavior, I decided it was time to let myself indulge in the benefits of the place I choose to call home and spend an afternoon doing what I do best: shop.

In addition to roaming around SoHo for a few too many hours during my day of (mostly) window shopping, I also headed up to Midtown to see what was new at Nordstrom, a store I can’t resist stopping into every single time I’m nearby. And while I’d like to say that nothing at all caught my eye along the way, I’d be lying if I did. In reality, I saw too many good things during my afternoon off, all of which I haven’t been able to shake since. Since journaling has always helped me let go of issues I’m thinking a bit too much about, I thought I’d follow the same protocol in this instance by jotting down all of the pieces I witnessed that are currently taking up space in my head below. Fingers crossed that by sharing them with all of you, I might be able to resist the urge to add every last one into my spring wardrobe.

Don’t judge me for what I’m about to admit: At least once a week, I’ll fall into a rabbit hole, where I’m sifting through Nordstrom, Ssense, and Shopbop in search of one thing: handbags. I am a sucker for a designer handbag in every form—it doesn’t matter if it’s secondhand, covered in shearling, or if it’s the It bag of the season. I am a proud bag lady, but I’m well aware of the fact that while I may live for finding the best vegan designer bag of the moment or searching for a sustainable handbag, that’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Luckily for them, I’ve taken the liberty of rounding up 54 vegan designer handbags at every price. Whether you’re an obsessive bag collector like me or are just looking for one great bag to invest in, I’ve got you covered.

When it comes to the fragrances that are commonly associated with the season of rebirth and new beginnings, it’s easy to settle on the easiest imagery that comes to mind: the vibrant explosion of flora and fauna following a stark winter. Sometimes, identifying fragrances that not only envelope its wearer with the florals they love but also provide other springtime-inspired notes can be easier said than done. (Take it from this floral-obsessed beauty editor.)

    Don’t Sleep on H&M’s Pretty Jewelry—14 Expensive-Looking Pieces I’m Considering

    [ad_1]

I have to make a confession. Even though I’m constantly browsing H&M to find the best pieces for our readers, I rarely look at the brand’s jewelry collection. I can’t say exactly why I’ve slept on that section of the site, but I’m all of a sudden keenly aware of what I’ve been missing out on.

Right now, H&M’s jewelry selection is exceptionally strong. I particularly love the Folded Earrings, which come in both silver and gold and are a steal at just $10. I clicked “add to cart” so fast, I didn’t even know what hit me. There are also a pair of oversized hoops that have my name written all over them. • The French Underwear Trend That Makes Your Legs Look Way Longer

The French Underwear Trend That Makes Your Legs Look Way Longer

    [ad_1]

“The newest trend in underwear is definitely the high-cut French brief.” Boom. You heard it here first courtesy of former Journelle Head of Product Development Sandra Rose, aka the woman in charge of knowing what’s new and next in the underwear space. There are a couple of reasons to get on board with the trend, but my primary motive? The underwear style makes your legs look way longer.

“With the band sitting at your natural waist, it gives you legs for days!” says Rose. Fleur du Mal founder Jennifer Zuccarini agrees: “High-cut styles elongate the line of your leg and emphasize your waistline because they sit higher, on a smaller part of your waist than, say, a hip-hugger style.” Another, more practical plus of the high-cut underwear trend? “With a higher rise, they are less likely to bunch when you’re wearing high-waisted pants and skirts,” says Rose.

As for where the reemergence of the high-cut French brief trend came from, Zuccarini attributes it to Instagram It models like Kendall Jenner, Bella and Gigi Hadid, and Emily Ratajkowski as well as ’90s supermodels like Naomi Campbell. Just like with any trend, “it takes time and the right people wearing it again and again for people to adopt a new look like this,” says Zuccarini.

Since the look has been gaining steam for a moment, the time is now to hop on the high-cut underwear trend. To help you with that aim, we rounded up the best options along with some visual inspiration to get started.

  • These Are the 25 Best Blazers Ever, According to Our Editors

These Are the 25 Best Blazers Ever, According to Our Editors

    [ad_1]

As an avid blazer connoisseur, I can attest to how difficult it is to find one that feels just right—one that has the perfect amount of structure yet is comfortable, one that is boxy but not too oversize, and one that looks expensive regardless of the actual price. What tends to happen when you’re looking for the “perfect” version of something is that you end up buying lots of imperfect versions of it, leaving you unsatisfied. Well, that just won’t do, at least not on my watch.

I decided to reach out to my stylish co-workers for the blazers that they cannot live without. According to the picky editors ahead, the blazers they listed are truly the best ever, and trust me when I say they don’t say that often. From investment-worthy designers to some cult-classic affordable brands, the picks ahead are our editors’ all-time favorite blazers, and I can’t wait for you to feast your eyes on them.

Additionally, in case the small selection of “best” blazers doesn’t excite you, I shopped out some newer ones on the market that I’ve had my eye on. You’re welcome.

28 Expensive-Looking Jewelry Items from Anthropologie I See a Viral Future For

    [ad_1]

When it comes to jewelry, there’s a big difference between fakes and the real thing. So, when you do find pieces that look and feel like designer without the three- to four-digit price tags that almost always come with, it’s no small feat. In fact, it’s a fairly major deal, one that requires swift and immediate action before the word gets out and every chance you had of getting in on the deal slips away.

As luck would have it, I stumbled upon a jewelry treasure trove of this exact magnitude while I was checking up on Anthropologie’s website a few days ago and haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Hidden among braided handbags and boho-chic apparel were every last one of the jewelry styles I’ve been scouring the internet for, searching for an affordably priced option that could get me the designer look without having to either majorly splurge or turn my ears and/or fingers green due to poor quality.

From Bottega Veneta-esque teardrop studs to wrist cuffs that give off serious Saint Laurent vibes, the 28 jewelry items from Anthropologie below are bound for viral fame. Secure yours before it’s too late.

  • I Tried On 7 Under-$150 Spring Shoes at Nordstrom—These 4 Are Worth Buying

I Tried On 7 Under-$150 Spring Shoes at Nordstrom—These 4 Are Worth Buying

    [ad_1]

Like almost every young woman in New York, I like to think of myself as a sort of Carrie Bradshaw type. I live pretty close to the fantasy characters’ home, find myself at the same restaurants although 20 years have passed, and also have quite the affinity for shoes. At this exact moment, I write from my home where many pairs sit lined up outside of my closet. Unlike Ms. Bradshaw, I wasn’t blessed with a walk-through closet and am trying to shove them all into tiny spaces. I’ve given up and they currently remain scattered throughout my small space. They’re so pretty to look at that it doesn’t bother me one bit.

One struggle I have with the world of online shopping we have fully embraced is finding shoes that actually fit and aren’t wildly uncomfortable. We’ve all seen that photo of a model propped up with a subtle glimmer in her eyes wearing that pair of shoes you’ve been eyeing. She looks so happy, so they must be comfortable. Well, that’s just not always the case, so I decided to do some field reporting.

A quick cab ride to the Nordstrom flagship in New York City led me to what most people would consider being in paradise: thousands of shoes laid out before me as I tried on everything that caught my eye. The experience was quite magical, and I highly suggest a visit if it’s convenient for you, but for the most part, shopping online is king. That’s why you’ll find that I’ve gathered the best of the best below. After trying on styles that were upward of $1,000+ I decided in this installment of If The Shoe Fits, we’re going to keep it under $150. I’m in my smart money moves era so it makes sense that my next shoe haul would be affordable.

A few pairs that I tried didn’t fit quite right, some were too difficult to walk in, and others were a bit outdated for the new world we’re living in. You can trust the below are editor tested and approved. I think you deserve to pick up a pair or two.
