  • Norton and Discovery Education Unite to Encourage Responsible AI Engagement for Students

    [ad_1]

Charlotte, NC (Thursday, September 18, 2025) — Norton, a leading Cyber Safety brand of Gen™, joined the Digital Citizenship Initiative by Discovery Education. The Digital Citizenship Initiative is a dynamic partnership powered by Discovery Education with corporations and non-profit organizations providing students with strategies and resources to navigate their online lives safely. Discovery Education is the creator of essential PreK-12 learning solutions used in classrooms around the world.

As part of the Initiative, Norton will soon offer free standards-aligned classroom resources supporting safe student engagement with Artificial Intelligence (AI). Launching in Q4, the new suite of videos and classroom activities will help students and educators learn how to safely and responsibly use AI. This commitment builds on Norton’s efforts in the digital citizenship space, including through My Digital Life with Discovery Education. The My Digital Life resource center offers free standards-aligned resources designed to empower students with the digital citizenship skills they need to navigate their online lives securely, confidently, and responsibly. In just two years, My Digital Life has reached nearly 415,000 students by helping educators bring digital safety skills into the classroom.

“AI is reshaping how children learn, connect, and express themselves online,” said Kim Allman, Head of Corporate Responsibility and Public Policy, for Norton. “Research shows that 2 in 5 children in the United States are turning to AI for companionship and that many parents find that concerning, underscoring the need for thoughtful guidance and digital literacy skills at home and school.”

The Digital Citizenship Initiative grew out of needs summarized in a recent white paper entitled Risks and Resilience: Why Digital Citizenship Matters in K12 Education. This study illuminated many of the issues facing today’s students, including cyberbullying, online privacy, and digital footprints. This year’s Norton Cyber Safety Insights Report on Connected Kids found that nearly one in four U.S. kids experience cyberbullying and over a quarter turn to AI for emotional support, underscoring the need for guidance around safe online interactions and AI use. Furthermore, the Education Insights 2025–2026: Fueling Learning Through Engagement report showed that while two-thirds of students believe AI can help them learn faster, fewer than half of teachers reporting AI use themselves.

Digital Citizenship Initiative partners also include Verizon and Fortinet. Each partner contributes expert insights to develop standards-aligned digital resources. Resources include ready-to-use materials, digital lessons, the DEMystified series videos, and instructional materials spanning disciplines such as science, health, social studies, and English language arts. Educators can expect quarterly content releases covering a range of topics that address digital citizenship.

To access the Digital Citizenship Initiative resources, please visit digitalcitizenship.discoveryeducation.com. Educators with access to Discovery Education Experience can find these resources on the Digital Citizenship channel

“Norton has strong experience in both AI technologies and digital literacy. We’re proud to partner with Norton on the Digital Citizenship Initiative,” said Catherine Dunlop, Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships at Discovery Education. “Together, we believe that engaging students in responsible AI use and digital literacy is essential to building a safer digital future.”

  • In time for Constitution Day, new civics curriculum available to educators

    [ad_1]

This press release was originally distributed by the New Hampshire Department of Education. You can find the Department’s online version here.

CONCORD, NH (Sept. 15, 2025) — Nearly 80 ready-to-use lessons and 24 videos strengthening New Hampshire’s civics education have been completed and are now available for educators to use during the upcoming school year, including for Constitution Day lessons on September 17.

Led by the New Hampshire Civics Commission and created by worldwide edtech leader Discovery Education, the new digital civics lessons showcase the history and heritage of the New Hampshire Constitution, which can easily be integrated into instruction.

“Knowledge is power. Understanding the New Hampshire Constitution and how our state government works is key to empowering students and citizens to have their voices heard and to influence public policy,” said Ovide Lamontagne, commission chair. “State government was established by the citizens of the Granite State to serve them and only a knowledgeable citizenry can assure government works as intended.”

The Commission developed a K-12 curriculum to support educators across the state and equip students to be knowledgeable and eager participants in our Constitutional Republic. The newly completed civics curriculum is organized within a custom New Hampshire Constitution Channel on the Discovery Education Experience platform – which is made available at no cost to schools and educators by the New Hampshire Department of Education.

“With its focus on our unique State Constitution, the curriculum deployed by the New Hampshire Civics Commission has materially advanced civics education. It is critically important for students to be taught and to understand how, first and foremost, Part I of the New Hampshire Constitution protects our rights, while Part II carefully defines and limits the power of government,” said Chief Justice Gordon MacDonald, commission member. “As a result of the Commission’s work, our students will be empowered to go on to influence public policy and improve the quality of life in our state well into the future.”

These digital assets feature state-specific artifacts and primary source documents that help develop each student’s understanding of their state government and constitution. Topics such as freedom of speech, government functions, the Pine Tree Riot, branches of government, the meaning of freedom, and the Western Rebellion are included in the curriculum. “It is my sincere hope that the curriculum developed by the New Hampshire Civics Commission will provide educators with the tools to provide students with the functional knowledge of our state government. I am grateful to my fellow commission members for their faithful dedication and professionalism in completing our work,” added Lamontagne.

“Discovery Education is proud to have collaborated with the Commission and other stakeholders on this important project,” said Lance Rougeux, Discovery Education’s Senior Vice President of Curriculum, Instruction, and Student Engagement. “Together, we’ve created a dynamic civics curriculum that is both engaging for students and easy-to-use for teachers, and we are excited to see these resources in use across the state.”

  • Kali Uchis Radiates Classic Beauty and Vibes at Toyota Center

    [ad_1]

    Kali Uchis
    The Sincerely, Tour
    Toyota Center
    September 2, 2025

Ten years ago, I was in the audience as Kali Uchis performed for the first time at the Austin City Limits Music Festival. Back then, I wrote the following observation:

“[Uchis] is an odd yet satisfying mix of doo-wop, R&B and smooth/dreamy reggae with a hip-hop attitude.”

In the world of algorithms and trends, it is refreshing to see that Uchis has stayed her own course, still writing and singing lovely tracks with the same classical beauty aesthetic and mix of R&B and Latin inspired vibes.

The Toyota Center was packed on Tuesday evening with adoring fans who were also adhering to the aesthetic, many wearing cute, summer dresses adorned with hues of pinks, baby blue, and other pastel colors. Some attached flowers to their outfits as if they were extras strait out of Kali’s “I Wish You Roses” music video. All I know is that I was way underdressed and too old to be there as a 45 year old in cargo shorts and New Balance sneakers.

The night started strong with opening act for the tour, San Diego’s own Chicano Soul band named Thee Sacred Souls. Their sound is also classic, but in the backyard BBQ, driving slow in a lowrider type of way. The band consists of a horn section, drummer, a duo of funky guitar and bass, an electric organ, and the band’s secret weapon: vocalist Josh Lane.

Lane is tall and slender, and looks like a member of the Marley family. But his voice is the epitome of chill, endearing the listener with smooth vocals, a mile wide smile, and dance moves that would make Elvis nervous.

Normally, a band holds their biggest hit for the end of the set, but not this band. They came out of the gate with “Can I Call You Rose?”, which was on my personal Top Ten list of favorite tracks 2022. The track was met with a loud roar of appreciation from the audience, and indeed sounded magical in person as opposed to in my headphones.

Lane then ran into the crowd, dancing and singing across the arena floor and even up and down the aisles. He was definitely being extra and doing “the most”, but in doing so won over the crowd and provided a memory that will not fade away anytime soon. My niece Rose Marie literally jumped up and down with joy as Lane passed by our section, sliding and dancing and smiling the entire time.

After a quick intermission, the baby pink curtain was draped across the stage, and the words “Kali Uchis, The Sincerely” were projected against the backdrop. When the lights dimmed and the show was beginning, the curtains revealed Uchis sitting on a swing above center stage, with fog and spotlights allowing her to shine bright in dreamy setting.

She wore a baby blue gown, hair in an up-do, and carried a glittery gold microphone. Simply put, she is gorgeous, exuding that classic Hollywood glamour energy, with a mix of Latina sensuality and mystique. She is sexy but not overtly sexual, a combination of coquette and baby doll, secure and strong and downright beautiful. Her voice matches her look, a mezzo-soprano with a wide range, frequently hitting falsetto notes to accompany her smooth tonal vocals.

Her set list was divided into six sections and an encore, each section representing a different album from her career. She endeared herself even more to the crowd by praising Houston for being “the loudest audience in Texas by far!”

After the opening set from her “Sincerely” album, she shifted into her album “Orquídeas”, which includes some of my favorite Kali cuts, including “Muñekita” and “Igual Que Un Angel.” Her dancers surrounded around the stage wearing all white, and at one point began to carry Uchis as if she was Cleopatra, elevating her across the stage, all while Kali kept in tune and on beat.

During another section of the set, a large bed was introduced onto the stage. Uchis laid on the bed and the camera displayed her from above as she sang and shimmied center stage. Kali has a habit of dropping low to the floor, sometimes crawling, always cute and still modest. It isn’t quite twerking, but rather living on a different plane, shifting her angles and providing gracious looks.

Uchis took a small break to invite a special guest to the stage, her life partner Don Toliver. The crowd erupted in cheers, welcoming the Houston native to the scene. She then continued her set and finished with songs from “Isolation,” “Sin Miedo” and “Red Moon in Venus.” My favorite songs were performed during this section, including “After The Storm,” “Telepatia” and “See You Again”.

It definitely was marvelous to see Kali Uchis again, and we wish her continued success along her journey.

    ¡Hasta pronto!

  • New Research Highlights Both the Importance and Challenges of Student Engagement in K-12 Education

    [ad_1]

Charlotte, NC (Wednesday, September 3, 2025)—A new study reveals that while there is wide agreement that student engagement plays a vital role in learning, educators continue to face uncertainty about what engagement looks like, how best to measure it, and how to sustain it. Education Insights 2025–2026: Fueling Learning Through Engagement captures prevailing attitudes and beliefs on the topic of engagement from 1,398 superintendents, teachers, parents, and students from across the United States. Survey data was collected in May 2025 by Hanover Research on behalf of Discovery Education, the creators of essential PreK-12 learning solutions used in classrooms around the world.

Discovery Education conducted the Education Insights report to gain a deeper understanding of how engagement is defined, observed, and nurtured in K-12 classrooms nationwide, and we are thankful to the participants who shared their perspectives and insights with us,” said Brian Shaw, Discovery Education’s Chief Executive Officer. “One of the most important findings of this report is that engagement is seen as essential to learning, but is inconsistently defined, observed, and supported in K-12 classrooms. I believe this highlights the need for a more standardized approach to measuring student engagement and connecting it to academic achievement. Discovery Education has embarked on an effort to address those challenges, and we look forward to sharing more as our work progresses.”

Key findings of the Education Insights 2025–2026: Fueling Learning Through Engagement report include:

    • Engagement is broadly recognized as a key driver of learning and success. 93% of educators surveyed agreed that student engagement is a critical metric for understanding overall achievement, and 99% of superintendents polled believe student engagement is one of the top predictors of success at school. Finally, 92% of students said that engaging lessons make school more enjoyable.
    • But educators disagree on the top indicators of engagement. 72% of teachers rated asking thoughtful questions as the strongest indicator of student engagement. However, 54% of superintendents identified performing well on assessments as a top engagement indicator. This is nearly twice as high as teachers, who rank assessments among the lowest indicators of engagement.
    • School leaders and teachers disagree on if their schools have systems for measuring engagement. While 99% of superintendents and 88% of principals said their district has an intentional approach for measuring engagement, only 60% of teachers agreed. Further, nearly 1/3 of teachers said that a lack of clear, shared definitions of student engagement is a top challenge to measuring engagement effectively.
    • Educators and students differ on their perceptions of engagement levels. While 63% of students agreed with the statement “Students are highly engaged in school,” only 45% of teachers and 51% of principals surveyed agreed with the same statement.
    • Students rate their own engagement much higher than their peers. 70% of elementary students perceived themselves as engaged, but only 42% perceived their peers as engaged. 59% of middle school students perceived themselves engaged in learning, but only 36% perceived their peers as engaged. Finally, 61% of high school students perceived themselves as engaged, but only 39% described their peers as engaged.
    • Proximity to learning changes impressions of AI. Two-thirds of students believe AI could help them learn faster, yet fewer than half of teachers report using AI themselves to complete tasks. Only 57% of teachers agreed with the statement “I frequently learn about positive ways students are using AI,” while 87% of principals and 98% of superintendents agree. Likewise, only 53% of teachers agreed with the statement “I am excited about the potential for AI to support teaching and learning,” while 83% of principals and 94% of superintendents agreed.

  • The Weeknd Radiates Energy and Emotion at NRG Stadium

    [ad_1]

    The Weeknd
    After Hours til Dawn Tour
    NRG Stadium
    August 30, 2025

There’s a big difference between being a singer and being a star performer. Anyone with a little courage can stand on a street corner and sing some tunes, but it takes a special kind of talent to command a stadium full of adoring fans. Last night, Abel Tesfaye, known to the world as The Weeknd, hosted night one of two sold-out concerts inside NRG Stadium. Joining him for these shows were opening acts Playboi Carti and Houston’s very own multi-instrumentalist and producer Mike Dean.

The show began early around 6:45 p.m. with Dean surrounded by keyboards and synths, standing solo on the massive stage and running through a litany of hits. He dove into the tracks he produced while working for Rap-A-Lot as a producer, mixer, and engineer, creating music for Scarface and The Geto Boys, Devin The Dude, Big Mello, Z-Ro, 5th Ward Boyz, and many more. Dean also played the guitar and even played a few melodies on the tenor saxophone as he ran through songs he created for Kanye West, Travis Scott, Kid Cudi, Jay Z, Beyonce, and more. It was a perfect homecoming set for Mike, who would later return to the stage to play keys during The Weeknd’s headlining set.

Legendary producer and multi-instrumentalist Mike Dean, who is originally from Houston, performed an opening homecoming set at NRG Stadium on Saturday, August 30th.

Rapper Playboi Carti followed Dean, and although he is a strong and energetic performer, the audience seemed to be withholding their applause for The Weeknd. Carti would later accompany the headliner for the songs “Timeless” and “Never Lie,” which were well received by the crowd.

As the intermission was ending and the stagehands prepped the scene for Abel, the stadium was filled almost to capacity. A massive LED video screen was positioned at the east end zone of the football field, and the set resembled a post apocalyptic scene with a broken skyline. Two long runways crisscrossed the length of the arena floor, and a giant golden figure of a female dancer served as a centerpiece.

A group of dancers dressed in red robes and face masks made their appearance on stage as the opening notes of “The Abyss” rang out. The Weeknd then appeared in the middle of the group wearing a black robe and a golden mask. The eyes were illuminated with lights, giving him a mystical aura and commanding awe and applause from the crowd. “Wake Me Up” and “After Hours” rounded out the opening trio of tracks.

The theme of the production was a mix of religion, cult imagery, and a dystopian future. Heavy use of pyro and lasers enhanced the mood, which played with the contrasts of light and dark, fun and fear, angels and demons. The moving images on the large video board showed fantastical visuals of an all seeing eye, souls being lifted around in a circular motion, and many other magical forces.

Ranging from sad and moody to upbeat and dance-worthy, its easy to see why The Weeknd is one of this generation’s most beloved artists.

The Weeknd’s voice equally as angelic and mischievous, a natural tenor who flaunts his falsetto as his not-so-secret weapon, mixing tones, tunes, and tempos effortlessly. His set list is at times slow and moody, which then ventures into upbeat and dance-worthy, then crashes into vibrant stories of love, lust, and loss. Its easy to see why he is one of this generations most popular and beloved artists.

The set list was extensive, with over 40 tracks spanning his 15 year career. The crowd was completely enamored of him, showing love and cheering at every look, gesture, and smile. Once Abel removed his mask, you could see how the love was reciprocated. “I love you, Houston!” he shouted, with tears forming in his eyes. It was a spectacular connection between artist and audience.

“We are nearing the end of our tour, and usually by this time an artist tends to get lethargic” he confessed to his fans. “But you guys are giving me so much life! I’m never going to skip Houston, ever!” he promised.

There were many highlights, but my favorite tracks of the night were “Save Your Tears,” “I Feel It Coming” and “Often.” I will definitely be in the building when The Weeknd returns to H-Town.

  • Hockinson School District Rolls Out New Tool to Boost Student Achievement

    [ad_1]

Charlotte, NC (Monday, August 25, 2025)—Starting in the 2025-26 school year, Washington State’s Hockinson School District (HSD) is partnering with Otus and Discovery Education to better track student learning and growth. This new collaboration will help educators make timely, data-informed decisions about what is working in the classroom so students can get the most out of instructional time.

Since its founding in 1870, HSD has focused on preparing all students for future success. Currently, the district’s talented team serves approximately 2,000 students in the district’s elementary, middle, and high schools. HSD’s educators and staff seek to inspire all students to live with strong core values and become competent, responsible learners by developing independent thinkers who can positively contribute to our changing world.

HSD selected the Otus platform because it provides teachers with past and current academic data from a host of sources, including insights from district-wide edtech solutions such as Mystery Science by Discovery Education, which is currently used in HSD classrooms. Using this data, HSD educators are able to set achievable goals for each student and support students more effectively by grouping students with similar needs for focused instruction.

As strong communication between families and schools plays a key role in student success, the HSD team sought a solution that would support the school-to-home connection. The Otus platform will make it easier for families to stay informed about their child’s learning by providing clear updates, easy-to-read progress reports, and visual tools that show how their child is growing over time.

This new collaboration also helps save HSD money by replacing several tools with one that centralizes assessment, grading, data analytics, and progress monitoring in one place. To secure a lower annual cost, the HSD team customized the service package to choose only the features that fit the needs of Hockinson students and staff. As Hockinson School District makes budget adjustments in response to Washington State’s funding shortfall, the district is focusing resources on student programs and academic achievement.

“Integrating Otus into our district solutions provides educators with the data they need in an easy-to-read format, enhancing their ability to support students effectively,” said Steve Marshall, Superintendent of Hockinson School District. “Additionally, Otus will help strengthen our connection with caregivers by keeping families informed of student progress. We are excited to have teachers begin to use this new resource as it will improve their ability visualize student progress in one place and quickly adjust instruction to improve outcomes in a thoughtful, cost-effective manner.”

HSD educators using Otus will receive dedicated professional development from Otus’ team of professional learning experts. Through these interactive professional development sessions, participants will learn best practices for integrating their new digital resources into instruction. Effective professional learning increases student engagement and supports the continued academic development of all students.

“This unique new collaboration with Otus is a powerful opportunity for Hockinson School District to combine high-quality learning solutions with real-time data analysis to best serve students and educators,” said Jessica Lasher, the Senior Educational Partnerships Manager at Discovery Education. “Discovery Education is proud to help Hockinson School District enhance district educators’ ability to interpret data and deliver life-long results for their community.”

  • Whitnall School District in Wisconsin Selects Adaptive and Engaging Edtech Solutions to Support Math, Science, and Reading

    [ad_1]

Charlotte, NC (Monday, August 18, 2025)—Wisconsin’s Whitnall School District (WSD) today announced that it has selected several new adaptive and engaging edtech solutions from Discovery Education for classroom use. These new digital resources will be used by teachers districtwide to enhance instruction and support student achievement in math, science, and reading. Discovery Education is the maker of essential PreK-12 learning solutions used in classrooms around the world.

The Whitnall School District is a dynamic public school system serving the village of Hales Corners and the cities of Franklin and Greenfield in Wisconsin. With a student population of approximately 2,500 and a dedicated team of around 500 employees, Whitnall prides itself on fostering a supportive and innovative learning environment that empowers every student to succeed.

To continue WSD’s tradition of academic excellence, personalized learning, and cultivating a culture of inclusion and growth, district leaders sought interactive, adaptive math, science, and reading resources for classroom use. Following a careful review of potential solutions, WSD selected the following solutions from Discovery Education:

Discovery Education Experience: The essential companion for engaged classrooms, Discovery Education Experience is a supplemental cross-curricular digital resource that inspires teachers, motivates students, and supports instruction in all academic disciplines. Designed expressly for K-12 schools, Experience delivers all-in-one, ready-to-teach lessons and strategies, exciting career exploration resources, standards-aligned content, and flexible tools for differentiation and assessment. Recently, Discovery Education announced a host of new enhancements to Discovery Education Experience that includes new tools and resources, AI technology, additional career explorations, and more. WSD will use Discovery Education Experience to support both science and social studies instruction among other disciplines.

Discovery Education Science Techbooks: The Discovery Education Science Techbook series is a complete, research-backed science solution for grades K-12. Used in classrooms across the United States, the Science Techbook series drives engagement with exclusive phenomena and interactive content. The Science Techbooks that will be used by WSD middle and elementary students are standards-aligned and feature virtual and hands-on investigations, STEM activities, and instructional supports that enhance the delivery of impactful, blended instruction. The Science Techbooks also include standards connections and differentiation activities that inform instructional planning and guide three-dimensional learning. Available with the Science Techbooks are coordinated teacher guides offering unit, concept, and lesson overviews, accompanying print resources and pre-packaged kits that make classroom activities easy to implement.

Discovery Education’s Science Techbook is certified as meeting the rigorous, evidence-based ESSA Tier III standards as set forth in the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Multiple studies show that regular use of Discovery Education Science Techbook in the classroom has many positive academic results for educators and students across a variety of districts and populations in the United States. This research and more can be found here.

DreamBox Math: Updated earlier this year with a host of improvements that empower teachers to create even more personalized learning experiences, DreamBox Math by Discovery Education adapts dynamically to the learner, providing tailored instruction within a highly engaging, gamified learning environment. DreamBox Math lessons are available in both English and Spanish, and now over 900 students have access to DreamBox Math across the district.

Along with actionable reporting and tools that empower differentiation for all learners, DreamBox Math offers teachers content-specific professional learning and provides administrators critical insights into student progress. With DreamBox Math, every student is empowered to independently engage in interactive problem solving so they can develop conceptual understanding, apply a variety of strategies, and gain competence and confidence in mathematical reasoning and skills.

DreamBox Reading Plus: DreamBox Reading Plus by Discovery Education develops silent reading fluency and comprehension, improving reading proficiency by as much as 2.5 grade levels in a single school year. DreamBox Reading Plus is an evidence-based, online literacy program that accelerates learning by providing personalized instruction and intervention for students in grades 3-12.

The Reading Plus adaptive assessment, InSight, provides a fast and effective way to determine students’ academic standing and place them on a personalized learning path to success.

In just forty minutes, educators gain a clear and comprehensive view of each student’s silent reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and motivation. These findings guide reading practice and instruction both within the program and in the classroom.

These new edtech solutions will be used alongside Pivot Interactives and Mystery Science, which are already used across the district. Pivot Interactives actively engage students in the exploration of scientific phenomena while developing their skills in science practices. Mystery Science is a digital, K-5, ready-to-use multimedia science and STEM curriculum resource used in more than 50% of United States’ elementary schools each month.

“Our expanded partnership with Discovery Education provides educators with exciting new tools they will use to build dynamic, personalized learning environments that connect all learners to the world beyond the classroom,” said Adam Hengel, the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Whitnall School District. “Together, these resources empower our students to achieve their full potential, and we look forward to seeing them integrated into instruction quickly.”

WSD educators using the new solutions from Discovery Education will receive dedicated professional development from the company’s team of professional learning experts. These learning opportunities for teachers help schools recognize the full return on their edtech investment. Through Discovery Education’s interactive professional development sessions, participants will learn best practices for integrating their new digital resources into instruction. Effective professional learning increases student engagement and supports the continued academic development of all students.

In addition, all educators using Discovery Education’s digital resources have access to the Discovery Educator Network or DEN. A global community of education professionals, the DEN connects members across school systems and around the world through social media, virtual conferences, and in-person events, fostering valuable idea sharing and inspiration.  This year, the DEN is celebrating 20 years of connecting educators to their most valuable resource: each other. • Top 2025 Flavor & Trend Predictions

    [ad_1]

John Koch, Founder of Koch Associates, has unveiled his annual predictions for five emerging trends set to influence food and beverage menus in 2025 and beyond. With over 25 years of experience in tracking and producing flavor and trend forecasts, Koch offers invaluable insights into the trends that will shape restaurant operations in the coming year.

    Flavor Bombs
Next-level flavors will dominate 2025 menus, focusing on sweet and spicy sensations, intense heat, and umami-rich foods. The blend of sweetness and spiciness, cheekily dubbed “swicy” (yes, really), will create layered taste experiences with combinations like spicy honey and chili-infused confections. Consumers will crave intense spice with ghost peppers and habaneros, pushing flavor boundaries. Umami-rich ingredients like soy sauce, mushrooms, and black garlic will enhance savory depth, providing adventurous, complex flavors that keep diners coming back.

    Diving Deeper into Global Flavors
The global flavor trend for 2025 blends international cuisines with lesser-known regional dishes, offering diners a rich and culturally diverse taste experience. Expect to see a mix of bold flavors from around the world, such as South Asian spices, Caribbean ingredients, and Mediterranean herbs, all coming together to create exciting and innovative dishes. This trend caters to both adventurous palates and those who enjoy a global culinary landscape, making every meal a mini travelogue.

    Tropical Storm
The tropical trend is making waves across multiple categories, especially in the food and beverage industry. Vibrant flavors like pineapple, dragon fruit, guava, coconut curry, and Caribbean spices are transforming everyday dishes into unique culinary experiences. This trend extends beyond food, with tropical prints and vibrant colors influencing fashion, home decor, and even music, where reggaeton chileno and Latin Afrobeats are gaining popularity. Infusing various aspects of life with an exotic vibe, the tropical trend brings a splash of excitement and a taste of the islands into our daily routines.

Snack Culture: Revolutionizing Restaurants One Bite at a Time
In 2025, snacking will become a priority, focusing on innovative and convenient options. This trend is taking the restaurant industry by storm, from fancy establishments to cozy local spots. Restaurants are now offering a smorgasbord of smaller, high-quality dishes and in some cases, mini cocktails. Think amuse-bouche, bite-size starters, dumplings, tapas and two-sip cocktails – delicious tastes that double as snacks or mini meals.

    Specialty Beverages
Creative and refreshing non-alcoholic drinks will be in even stronger demand. The category of non-alcoholic beverages that includes flavored lemonades, iced teas, boba drinks, refreshers, dirty sodas and similar drinks is often referred to as “specialty beverages”, “hybrid beverages” or “refreshment beverages”. These terms encompass a wide range of drinks that are typically crafted to offer unique flavors and refreshing experiences, often incorporating fruit flavors, teas, and other innovative ingredients.
