Canadian gaming operator Gateway Casinos and Entertainment has announced the relaunch of its loyalty rewards program, My Club Rewards. The updated program includes a new exclusive partnership with Baha Mar, a CAD 4.8 billion ($3.5 billion) integrated resort, casino and waterpark in Nassau, Bahamas.

“With 14 Gateway properties across Ontario, guests can now play and earn points at their local casino and redeem them for the finest rewards at Casino Rama Resort,” the company said in a statement. “Members can now access an unmatched level of experiences, including hotel stays, spa retreats, cruises, concerts, and more.”

Exclusive contests and special offers from Norwegian Cruise Line, PlayStudios and the NFL are available to MCR members as part of the relaunch, says Gateway. Also included is the new partnership with Baha Mar Resort in the Bahamas, which is home to three oceanfront hotels: Rosewood Baha Mar, SLS Baha Mar, and Grand Hyatt Baha Mar.

The destination offers the largest casino in the Caribbean, a Jack Nicklaus signature-designed golf course, a world-class racquet club, a full-service ESPA spa, a nature sanctuary, an explorers club for kids, an all-new luxury beachfront waterpark Baha Bay, and culinary concepts led by celebrity chefs such as Marcus Samuelsson and Daniel Boulud, points out a press statement.

The enhanced MCR program is set to work as a portal to the “Reward Life,” which Gateway describes as a connected ecosystem of benefits and rewards for its guests. There are five My Club Rewards tier levels — rewards, silver, gold, elite and ultra. Dependent on MCR tier status, members can enjoy exclusive discounts at Gateway’s signature restaurants.

MCR members can visit, play and collect points at any of Gateway’s 14 properties across Ontario. As points are collected, they can be redeemed for Resort Rewards and used for multiple amenities, including concerts, hotel stays and spa retreats at Casino Rama Resort. It’s the largest and most luxurious casino in the Caribbean, designed for gaming of every level, from casual players to high-stakes rollers,” said Mark Juliano, EVP and chief gaming officer of Baha Mar.

Bally’s inks multi-year multimedia and gaming partnership deal with Minor League Baseball | Yogonet International

    [ad_1]

Casino-entertainment heavyweight Bally’s Corporation has announced a multi-year partnership with Minor League Baseball (MiLB) that makes Bally’s the first-ever National Media Rightsholder and Exclusive Fantasy & Gaming Partner of the league.

This wide-ranging, multimedia partnership provides Bally’s with live broadcast and exclusive free-to-play gaming content rights across its digital platforms and partner channels which will provide MiLB fans with “a unique in-stadium and at-home experience.”

Under the terms of the partnership, Bally’s receives the right to use MiLB’s official marks in marketing as well as in-park signage, broadcast, and digital exposure. The deal also extends to Bally Live, the company’s over-the-top, proprietary platform that features low-latency fan engagement tools.

With Bally Live, MiLB fans attending games in person and those choosing to join from outside simultaneously can watch the game and use the app’s chat and watch party features. “These unique and immersive tools are geared to drive greater interest in the game, both in and out of the ballpark,” notes Bally’s.

Bally’s media rights extend further across select partner-owned linear and over-the-air channels. The channels, which include local and regional broadcast stations across the country, give Bally’s Corporation customers coverage of the up-and-coming stars of Major League Baseball (MLB), covering more than 7,000 blackout-free live games in total.

Additionally, fans engaging in Bally Live activities, including free-to-play, trivia, and other predictor games, will be eligible to earn rewards through Bally Bucks, Bally’s rewards points program. Bally Bucks are redeemable for experiential rewards and merchandise through the Bally Live app.

Soo Kim, Chairman of Bally’s Corporation Board of Directors, commented: “This exciting partnership presents a remarkable opportunity for Bally’s, MiLB, and the league’s teams to come together and collaborate on delivering an exceptional experience for MiLB’s more than 30 million fans across 120 teams and ballparks.”

“With a rich legacy of innovation, Bally’s is dedicated to leveraging its expertise to elevate engagement and create truly immersive experiences that are sure to captivate and delight MiLB fans,” he added.

Kenny Gersh, Executive Vice President, Media and Business Development for Major League Baseball, also said: “We couldn’t be more pleased to have Bally’s Corporation as an Official Partner of MiLB. Since assuming operations of Minor League Baseball in 2021, we’ve focused on growing the reach and awareness of our impressive young prospects and iconic MiLB teams.”

Bally’s Corporation will be a critical partner for us in achieving that goal, providing extensive distribution of live MiLB broadcasts and enhancing the fan experience with fun and predictive free-to-play, fantasy, and real-money games that uphold the integrity of the sport,” he concluded.

  • Illinois Senate passes bill requiring sports betting operators to display hourly safe gambling pop-us | Yogonet International

Illinois Senate passes bill requiring sports betting operators to display hourly safe gambling pop-us | Yogonet International

    [ad_1]

The Illinois Senate has passed a bill addressing sports betting addiction. Senate Bill 1508 requires sports gaming companies to display a message to people at least once every hour noting how much money they have wagered since logging in.

The alert would also include a hyperlink to websites and phone numbers for assistance with gambling addiction. Senate President Pro Tempore Bill Cunningham (D-Chicago) noted the proposal comes as the state’s industry rakes in millions per year off betting.

According to the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB), January saw a record-high in bets wagered with $1.07 billion in legal sports betting in the state – an increase of more than $20 million from January 2022.

But according to a separate study released last year by the Illinois Department of Human Services, approximately 380,000 adult Illinoisans are considered to have a gambling problem while an additional 761,000 are believed to be at risk of developing one.

“I think we would all acknowledge that that brings with it some responsibility for those of us who are policymakers,” Cunningham said, as reported by WAND. “And I think that we need to ensure that part of that responsibility is making sure people who have problems with gambling can easily get help.”

SB1508’s journey took it from the Health and Human Services Committee, where it saw one small amendment altering the semantics of one sentence. It then passed unanimously out of the Senate. The legislation now moves to the House for further consideration.

“Illinois has been a leader in the regulation of sports betting, and we need to ensure that we are also addressing the potential harms associated with gambling addiction,” Cunningham said when he filed the bill.

“By requiring sports wagering apps to display a pop-up message with resources for gambling addiction assistance, we can help individuals who may be struggling with problem gambling access the help they need.”

    [ad_1]

Online casino and sports betting operator BetMGM announced it has received a top accreditation from the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) for the responsible gaming and player protection protocols incorporated into its North American platforms and operations.

The RG Check is regarded as “one of the industry’s most comprehensive and rigorous responsible gaming accreditation programs,” notes the brand. The program validates organizations that have implemented robust responsible gaming policies and practices.

Adam Greenblatt, CEO of BetMGM, commented: “We are proud to have received this prestigious RG Check certification. This accreditation is a testament to our ongoing efforts to promote responsibility throughout our business and to ensure the well-being of our customers. To achieve RG Check accreditation, BetMGM underwent a rigorous evaluation process, which included a review of its responsible gaming policies and procedures, staff training and player protection measures.

  • Ohio: Kiosk sports betting grows with nearly 900 sites, $973K in handle | Yogonet International

Ohio: Kiosk sports betting grows with nearly 900 sites, $973K in handle | Yogonet International

    [ad_1]

Ohio sports betting continues its upward trend, with nearly 900 kiosks. A February Ohio Lottery Commission report shows 79 host locations were added in February to the existing 772 that opened in January.

The report shows kiosk gamblers wagered $973,208 in February, a $122,872 increase compared to January. Players took home $909,552 in winnings, a 26% increase over January’s $722,376, which sums up to a payout of 93.61%.

PlayOhio managing editor Danny Cross attributes this boost in payouts to a rise in existing kiosks and better operations, and noted the jump in February “is directly tied” to less friction for sports bettors. “The biggest reason is that the technology roll-out issues were remedied at most locations,” he said, as reported by Columbus Business First.

Most of the businesses in Ohio adding kiosks partner with SportsBet. But due to software updates and other technical difficulties, 700 of the 772 initially licensed host locations were affected by delays,” he added.

SportsBet had the most host locations accounting for 728, and the most wagers for the month, leading up to $610,650. As of mid-March, 899 sites are licensed with nearly all of them and running, Cross said.

He also assured that the pace will not slow down in the coming months, as the Ohio Casino Control Commission approved over 1,100 businesses to host sports betting kiosks. “As more companies gain final approval, the revenue we saw in February should continue to grow,” he added.

As wagers and winnings went up, revenue went down. The report shows total revenue dipped by nearly 54% month to month, bringing in only $62,146 over January’s $116,040. The Ohio Lottery and kiosk hosts also took home less at $13,184 and $48,332, respectively.

Ezugi launches first-ever live game show with the circus-themed Ultimate Roulette | Yogonet International

    [ad_1]

Evolution‘s live dealer casino platform Ezugi launched on Thursday its first-ever live game show, Ultimate Roulette, a “unique multiplier-filled Roulette entertainment that takes place in a stunning circus-themed environment.”

Streamed live from Ezugi’s state-of-the-art studios to players, Ultimate Roulette presents classic Roulette in a fun live game show format set in a circus Big Top and with a live game show host.

Ultimate Roulette follows regular Roulette rules but with a twist that offers “truly entertaining opportunities for players to win big.” In every game round, there’s the possibility of 11 of the Straight Up bet numbers on the betting grid being hit with a multiplier. Some multipliers can even double themselves, from up to 1000x to up to 2000x.

First, five Lucky numbers receive random multipliers in the range of 50x to 1,000x. Players then have the option to buy up to three extra Lucky numbers each per game round. The Lucky numbers can spread to up to three neighboring numbers on the betting grid, with the new numbers receiving the same multiplier as the original number. Purchased multipliers can double (2x), potentially resulting in one or more multipliers with a value of up to 2,000x.

Fredrik Bjurle, Chief Product Officer at Ezugi, said: “Ultimate Roulette is a momentous launch for Ezugi. It’s not only our first live game show but also a game with incredibly high production values. We are confident that players will be super-excited and entertained by the game’s unique setting and the dynamic multiplier action, which gives them a chance to win up to 2,000 times their bet.”

“Players will be keeping one eye on where the multipliers are hitting, spreading, and potentially doubling in value too, and one eye on where the ball is coming to rest in the wheel. In terms of player engagement and entertainment value, it’s the ultimate online live Roulette gaming experience,” he concluded.

  • Entain continues to bet on digital transformation with 100th Digi-Hub shop launch in Scotland | Yogonet International

Entain continues to bet on digital transformation with 100th Digi-Hub shop launch in Scotland | Yogonet International

    [ad_1]

Sports betting and gaming group Entain is moving forward with the digital transformation of its flagship Ladbrokes and Coral shops in the UK, as it celebrates the opening of its 100th “Digi-Hub” in Muirhouse, Scotland.

According to the company, Entain’s Digi-Hubs “reinvent the traditional betting shop, with the contemporary, digital-first spaces dubbed the shops of the future.” Digi-Hubs have transformed look-and-feel, and are fitted with more digital touchpoints, sports betting and gaming terminals, and interactive displays, “providing more dynamic content and experiences for customers.”

Since 2019, when the first trial Digi-Hub opened, the roll-out of these digital-first shops has been integral in welcoming customers back to the high street, says the group. Entain has already seen over 1 million gaming sessions and over 10 million sports bets take place in Digi-Hubs. With this achievement, Entain has moved closer to its ambition to open 200 Digi-Hubs by the end of 2024.

Will Thorp, Strategy Director – UK Retail at Entain, said: “We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our 100th Digi-Hub. We’re passionate about creating connected, digital experiences in our shops to continue distinguishing ourselves as the market leader.”

Entain sits at the very heart of a fast-paced, ever-evolving world of entertainment, and to continue providing positive player experiences, it’s crucial that we continue to innovate and excite our customers. Digi-Hubs help us do just that and have been a huge hit,” he added.

The Digi-Hubs’ relaxed atmosphere has been key in attracting a new generation of customers, according to the firm. The group highlights that more online-first customers, who are typically more diverse than traditional betting customers, are coming into betting shops for the first time.

The milestone moment for Digi-Hubs comes as UK retail continues its resurgence after the lockdowns of the pandemic. In 2022, Entain reported UK retail NGR up 56%, which is supported by an improved customer offer through more digital touch points in shops and sports betting and gaming terminals.

The news also comes as the company seeks to expand its footprint not only in the UK but elsewhere. Earlier this week, Entain confirmed it has been selected by TAB New Zealand as its preferred partner for a 25-year strategic arrangement. The company beat Tabcorp to become the preferred partner to acquire the management rights to New Zealand’s sports betting monopoly.

The proposed strategic arrangement, and timing of completion, remain subject to approval from the New Zealand Minister for Racing. Further information, as appropriate, will be provided after the completion of the Ministerial approval process, said Entain.

Greentube launches new classic tale-inspired game Diamond Tales: The Little Mermaid | Yogonet International

    [ad_1]

Novomatic‘s online gaming division Greentube is “reopening its book of classic tales once more” for its latest title, this time bringing an aquatic-themed slot to life in Diamond Tales: The Little Mermaid.

This variable volatility 5-reel, 40 payline slot, created in collaboration with Intellectual Property owner RoyalCasino Denmark, has players aiming to win a maximum of 50,000x their stake by way of several bonus features, including the Snap Drop and Diamond Tales features.

Players are tasked with collecting Pearl Hearts on a special reel to take with them into the bonus features to progress story chapters, before ultimately reaching the Ocean Feature.

If the Snap Drop symbol lands on the fifth reel, players will be awarded with a re-spin where only Pearl Hearts with multipliers appear, which are then added together. Multipliers are added together, multiplying the player’s bet.

The Diamond Tales feature is triggered when three Book Bonus symbols land on reels one, three and five. Three re-spins are awarded which reset every time a new Pearl or Gold Heart lands on the reels. Gold Diamond Heart’s values are multiplied by any new Pearl Hearts that land.

When players reach the final chapter of the game, they will automatically unlock the Ocean Feature, giving them the unique opportunity to land five Gold Diamond Hearts, explains the company.

Michael Bauer, CFO/CGO at Greentube, said: “With the second addition to the game family after The Ugly Duckling, the Diamond Tales franchise continues to go from strength to strength and we are confident that players will enjoy what we have to offer them with Diamond Tales: The Little Mermaid. This aquatic title boasts a real sense of progression as you work through the chapters to reach that final bonus.”

The new licensed features will be available across Blueprint’s table game portfolio in all jurisdictions, with the first game being Blackjack Player’s Choice. Six Side Bets will be available at launch.

Blueprint’s global growth trajectory is also boosted by the agreement and launch, which offers further opportunities to work on adapting new content and game variants to support operators as it expands into new territories,” the studio said.

  • Stanleybet undergoes its first rebranding, encompassing all of its brands | Yogonet International

Stanleybet undergoes its first rebranding, encompassing all of its brands | Yogonet International

    [ad_1]

For the first time in its 65 years of history, the Stanleybet Group will undergo a rebranding. The company has implemented a “restyling” of its European operations, opening to the temporary inclusion of new colors “to honor historical events.”

The update includes the entire range of brands associated with the group, which started out as a bookmaker in 1958. “By relaunching its brand, Stanleybet is now looking to the future of the global market, where the group has always played a lead role, while balancing tradition and innovation, with enthusiasm and dynamism,” the company said in a press statement.

Giovanni Garrisi, CEO of the Stanleybet Group, said: “Since we first considered the rebranding, the goal has been to continue to embody the group’s core values – Strength, Dynamism and Balance – while responding to the changes in the industry and, more generally, to new styles and trends used to convey a message.”

    Giovanni Garrisi

Ivan Fantasia, Head of Brand, Marketing & Communications for the Stanleybet Group, said: “My team and I evaluated various options, ranging from more cautious choices to more audacious ones. We ultimately decided to carefully restyle the brand that was already in use, with a final outcome that less accustomed eyes might not even detect initially. The token will stand in for the actual change.”

The diagonal ‘cut’ that divides the token symbolizes the balance between tradition and innovation, the company said. The slope of that cut has now been set at 18 degrees, along with the slope of the Stanleybet trademark letters.

Additionally, the color of the small section of the token – and with it, occasionally, also the background of the logo itself – will adopt a theme or different colors on social media channels, which will be dedicated to the celebration of an event of historic significance, whether it be sporting, cultural, or customary.

The company says the decision is aimed at giving the brand dynamism and adaptability, allowing for “quick, direct and effective communication.” The new brand look is also set to update its presence on social media.

  • NY: Hofstra University calls Nassau County “an entirely inappropriate” location for Sands’ casino bid | Yogonet International

NY: Hofstra University calls Nassau County “an entirely inappropriate” location for Sands’ casino bid | Yogonet International

    [ad_1]

A new casino proposed by Las Vegas Sands in the state of New York faced further opposition this week from Hofstra University, which shared an open letter opposing the project. The proposal would see the company construct an entertainment complex at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum site on Long Island, which would include a casino, a hotel, and a large event space.

The Nassau Hub is an entirely inappropriate location for a casino. It is surrounded by educational institutions from preschool through graduate school and a diversity of suburban communities that should not be exposed to the increased traffic congestion, crime, economic harm to local businesses, and other negative impacts that a casino development would likely bring. There are other locations in and around New York City to site a casino that are not in such proximity to multiple educational institutions where so many young people live and learn,” the letter read.

In addition to Hofstra University, the Garden City Village Board voted to take an official stand against the proposal for the Nassau Hub. It is worth mentioning that the Village Board does not actually hold any power, so the vote was largely considered a symbolic gesture. Members of the community, however, are confident it sends a strong message to the New York regulators and also developers that Nassau is not the ideal place for a casino.

Although Hofstra champions students and cites student welfare as a reason to reject Sands’ proposal, Nassau Community College has signed a prospective partnership deal to become the primary employee training center for the company should the casino plan go ahead. The partnership would also include internships and ‘experiential learning’ for Nassau Community College students who wish to consider a career with LV Sands in the future.

Maria Conzatti, acting president of Nassau Community College, said: “The creation of a new industry with thousands of jobs in multiple sectors is a tremendous opportunity not only for our students but for the diverse populations we serve as a community college.”

Enhancing our curriculum with training programs, mentorship, and internship opportunities in conjunction with an industry leader like Sands provides an opportunity for adult students, career changers, and all community members to be placed on successful career paths,” she added, as reported by Business 2 Community.

Sands’ proposal calls for an entertainment complex at the Nassau Coliseum site, including a casino, a hotel and an event space. The company claims the project would bring jobs and tax revenue to the community, but those against the casino say the property could drive increases in traffic and crime, as well as negatively impact students at nearby colleges.

SOFTSWISS and CoinsPaid donate $50K to aid earthquake victims in Turkey | Yogonet International

    [ad_1]

iGaming solutions supplier SOFTSWISS and crypto payment processing provider CoinsPaid announced they have donated $50,000 to deliver aid to the people affected by the recent natural disaster in Turkey. The donation was made to help earthquake survivors rebuild their lives and get access to basic necessities.

Nurullah Yildiz, a SOFTSWISS representative who visited the earthquake-affected territory in Turkey, noted: “When we were in the disaster area, we saw towns lying in ruins. It was devastating. We contacted the survivors to find out what they needed most and how we could help.”

The SOFTSWISS and CoinsPaid teams procured container houses and got them transferred to the survivors. They also helped people, especially families in urgent need and those who have disabled children or lost their relatives, get food and clean water.

“Such terrible events should not be overlooked by those who can help. SOFTSWISS has both the ability and the desire to help people in need,” the company said in a social media post. “And in this unfortunate time, we are extending financial aid to support the victims in Turkey.”

Ivan Montik, Founder of SOFTSWISS, said: “We have the opportunity to support people in need. It is terrible what happened in Turkey and what is happening in Ukraine. People shouldn’t face this, but life always shows us that nobody is protected here, so we chose to help those who need it.”

SOFTSWISS participates in several global campaigns and initiatives to support people in need, the company notes. Since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the provider has been actively helping Ukrainian people, having donated over EUR 1 million. The support for Turkey is a continuation of the ongoing commitment to this cause, SOFTSWISS pointed out.

Its community-centered initiatives come as the company sees success in its gaming endeavors. Last week, SOFTSWISS unveiled it has perceived 40% client portfolio growth year over year for its Casino Platform in 2022, as the flagship product celebrates its 10th anniversary. Presented in 2013, the SOFTSWISS Casino Platform has seen over 400 successful projects launched to date.
