INsiders Guide: GOOD SLEEPY, MORGAN EVANS, Cherry Bomb, DeepFaith, KALEO, 2070… – OutLoud! Culture

the Central Massachusetts emo outfit Good Sleepy has released a new melodic single, “LOOMING.” This is their final single off their upcoming sophomore LP CONSTANT HUMMING set for release on February 13th, 2026.

STREAM THE NEW SINGLE “LOOMING ” AND PRE-SAVE CONSTANT HUMMING

Good Sleepy offers a moment of clarity with their new track. While still grounded in honest, hard-hitting feelings and intensity in performance, the song leans into a more melodic, indie groove that feels open and inviting. Bright hooks contrasting an anxious undercurrent make this one of the band’s most immediately engaging tracks to date. As the final single ahead of their forthcoming LP, “LOOMING” examines the abrasive grind of modern daily life, rooted in a longing for the comfort and nostalgia of the past.

Good Sleepy shared their thoughts on the new single below:

“’LOOMING’ is the third and final single release from our upcoming 14-track LP. This is one of our favorites off of the upcoming album, and we’re stoked to finally be putting it out there. It showcases a side of the album that’s a bit more indie rock and pop influenced. It’s still hard-hitting and emotional, but has a more lighthearted feel to it than what we typically write. It’s a relatable and catchy song that we thought most people could easily get down with.”

Solrise Records / Virgin Music Group’s Australian-born, Nashville-based country mainstay Morgan Evans teams up with Geffen Records’ acclaimed singer-songwriter Laci Kaye Booth on new duet, “Two Broken Hearts” – listen HEREand watch the visualizer HERE.

Written by Evans with Fraser Churchill, “Two Broken Hearts” is a stripped back admission. Evans and Booth’s soulful harmonies entangle over raw, vulnerable truths:

There’s nothing left of you,

Left for me, left of me

That could be yours

Two Broken Hearts find their way to each other

Feeling their way through the dark

Two Broken Hearts healing under the covers

To keep them from falling apart

Sometimes where it ends is where love starts again

But we both know that ain’t where we are

We’re just lying together, when we’re lying together

We’re just trying together, to put back together

Two Broken Hearts

“This song still hits me like the day I wrote it,” Evans shares. “It wasn’t written as a duet, but Lace’s voice took it somewhere I couldn’t have imagined on my own.”

Introducing Cherry Bomb–the Los Angeles-based solo project of MisterWives’ Mandy Lee who is kicking off the new year with a disco-pop independence anthem and fierce music video“Never Be Me (M★therf★cker)” out today via AWAL. Glitter-soaked and maximalist, Cherry Bomb is thrilled to formally introduce a new world filled with unapologetic fun and rebellious femininity.

PAPER Magazine, who debuted the video, says “The track is pop perfection, chronicling her departure from her old life and excitement for the road ahead. Her fluttering vocals that earworm synths define this genre she’s calling “popera.” Adding, the video “highlights bright, DIY-ed costumes and the feminine energy-filled community that’s helped her reach these new heights.”

The hooky, synthy dance-pop tune sees Lee learn to let go of external validation and expectations as she basks in her own strength and autonomy. Lee calls the new existential pop track, “a defiant Declaration of Independence dressed up in maximalist synth pop made for dancing out a loveless love.”

Reflecting on the new chapter and stepping into a role of her own, Lee says, “Starting this project I knew I desperately needed to reconnect with parts of myself I lost along the way and NBM was the catalyst to reclaiming my power, saying farewell to spaces that made me shrink while welcoming back the energy of the little girl who once wore boas routinely, blasting “You Don’t Own Me” through a bedazzled boombox. This song has become a mantra in learning to let go of old painful patterns and letting in the pleasure of self I once abandoned for the love and acceptance of others.”

DeepFaith’s single ‘Y&I’ is reimagined with Breakbot’s Dreamix. This collaboration brings together
DeepFaith’s emotionally charged songwriting with the classic French house elegance of Breakbot (Ed
Banger Records). The original song released at the end of 2025 showcased the creative partnership
of acclaimed artist Byron Spencer and Danial Stricker (Midnight Juggernauts) through their project
DeepFaith. From recent parties in Berlin, Paris and Australia to reimaginings with global techno
powerhouse Nina Kraviz, Y&I highlights DeepFaith’s pop-op-erratic vision with a new twist each time.

Breakbot’s version envelops the original’s intimate vocals and evocative baroque chords in a sun-
drenched, cinematic French touch, inviting listeners into a space that feels equally at home on a

rooftop at sunset or drifting through a Paris nightclub. “Reworking this beautiful and powerful song
was a real treat,” shares Breakbot. “The original chords and vocals are just too good. Thanks, Dan for
having faith.”
DeepFaith add: “We’ve always been huge fans of Breakbot. A classic French Touch on this track – we
love it.”
The original ‘Y&I’ drew strong early support, with the video clip premiering on Rolling Stone, Ben
Lee naming it Pick of the Week, as well as international radio rotation, including a First Play on
Australian station triple j. Acclaimed Italian publication METAL Magazine stated about the band that,
“reinvention isn’t just part of their process, it’s the point. Their world thrives on contrasts: cinematic
but chaotic, maximalist yet intimate.”

Icelandic rock band KALEO announce the 10-year anniversary deluxe edition of their debut album, A/B due out June 10 via Rhino Records. The double vinyl release will spotlight some of the band’s iconic live performances plus a few rare studio recordings. To celebrate, the band will embark on an extensive North American Way Down We Go Tour this summer with very special guests DAWES, Darren Kiely and 4x GRAMMY®-nominee, singer-songwriter Elle King at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre. See all dates below and more information here.

This year’s tour will be even more special considering we’re commemorating ten years since the release of A/B,” said KALEO frontman JJ Julius Son. “We are truly honored that the music still means so much to so many people and we’re planning an entirely new show we think our fans are going to love.” The debut album spawned hits like “All The Pretty Girls,” “No Good,” and the global sensation “Way Down We Go,” which landed at number one on Billboard’s Alternative Rock chart which has nearly 4 billion streams and has been featured in over 3 million TikToks worldwide. In addition, the band will incorporate hits from their two follow-up albums, Surface Sounds and 2025’s critically acclaimed MIXED EMOTIONS, into the setlist. On their 2025 effort, Forbes wrote, “Like so many of the great ’70s rock albums, it is powerful, diverse, rooted in the great American sounds like blues and country, that are blended with a rock attitude and base sound.”

2070, Los Angeles’s hardest working band, is excited to share another preview of their Danger Collective Records debut, Big Blue, available everywhere on February 6, 2026. “Windowpane” premieres today with raw vocals that glide over chugging guitars and sweet synths, looking over a life that never stops moving along. The single arrives alongside an official music video featuring painting by the artist 1celer

“Khari and I wrote and recorded a good portion of this in the summer of 2024. It is the last thing we recorded at my house in City Terrace, where most of our work had been done previously,” bandleader Trevor Coleman says. “When recording it, I was coming up with a melody for my vocals, and we joked that it sounded like something by Modest Mouse, which led to me doing an impression mocking Isaac Brock, but it ended up actually being too good to pass up, so we kept it as my vocal melody on this song. Khari sings on this, too, which is also sick.”

DMV-based rapper Mikey Polo announces his upcoming album Art of War, set for release on January 28th. Known for blending raw storytelling with genre-bending emo trap, Mikey uses the project to explore ambition, resilience, and the highs and lows of life on his own terms. With unflinching honesty and cinematic production, Art of War showcases his evolution as an artist; a fearless statement from a rising voice determined to leave his mark on the scene.

Rising pop powerhouse Rachel Grae returns with her deeply moving new single “Come A Day,” out January 23—a soul-baring meditation on endurance, hope, and the quiet belief that pain is never permanent. Floating between heartbreak and healing, the track captures the emotional limbo of waiting for brighter days while still standing in the shadow of the hurt.

“‘Come A Day’ lives in the space between hurt and healing,” Grae explains. “It’s about moving through pain while holding onto the belief that it won’t last forever. It’s a reminder that the light at the end of the tunnel exists, even if it feels far sometimes.”

Sonically, “Come A Day” showcases Rachel Grae’s patented soulful pop sound, anchored by a vocal performance that feels both fragile and commanding. Drawing comparisons to Adele and Amy Winehouse, the song pairs classic soul influences with modern pop restraint, allowing emotion—not production—to take center stage. The result is a track that feels timeless, intimate, and quietly powerful.

The single arrives on the heels of a huge 2025 for Grae, a breakout year that included a U.S. headline tour, a UK/EU headline tour, and her festival debut at Lollapalooza, where her raw, emotionally charged performances resonated with new audiences on a massive scale.

GRAMMY® Award-nominated genre-defying songwriter, producer, podcast host, and guitarist extraordinaire Cory Wong has shared his new single, “Better Than This (Feat. Cody Fry).” The 80’s retro-banger in collaboration with Cody Fry is the fifth song released from Wong’s upcoming album, Lost In The Wonder, set to arrive on February 3, 2026. “Better Than This (Feat. Cody Fry)” is streaming everywhere now.

From the jump, ‘King Kong’ pulls no punches, diving straight into a furious and lust-filled state of delirium, driven forth by choppy drums and jagged samples. HAWA’s tone-shifting vocals dance maniacally through the turbulence as temptations of the flesh insatiably beckon, whilst Theo Croker’s impassioned brass motifs add an air of elegance and grandeur to the proceedings. Alex explains : ‘King Kong is an ode to women through the eyes of the female gaze. Put simply, lesbians are my favorite genre of human, this song celebrates that’HAWA adds ‘Life is better with strap on This one is club-ready and prepared to do damage. On the flip, ‘NO FUTURE /dear freedom’ channels a  sombre and more reflective mood, with grainy sine waves slowly filling a grey void, as a ghostly piano melody provokes the release of innermost confessions, as told by our alluring and sultry narrator

Under his Alex Da Kid production alias, he created multi-diamond selling records for Jay ZRihanna, Eminem, Dr. Dre, U2, Christina Aguilera, Imagine Dragons and more—leaving an immeasurable imprint on popular culture. The forthcoming deluxe LP deepens his universe with a collection of tracks that channel personal reckoning, smoky jazz-club atmospheres and late-night, club-soaked delirium.

Beyond music, Alex is reshaping SoHo’s cultural landscape through 66 Greene Street, his retail concept store, music venue and editorial studio. From this creative hub, he nurtures and platforms some of the world’s most forward-thinking artists in music, fashion and art. As one of the only Black men to own a building on Greene Street, Alex stands as a rare anchor of authenticity in a neighbourhood long overtaken by corporate luxury. His mission is simple but urgent: return SoHo to the creatives In 2025, he launched an eponymous cultural publication in parallel to the venue, documenting New York in the present tense; spotlighting the photographers, stylists, musicians and visionaries shaping culture as it unfolds. Rooted in downtown mentality, its aesthetic is defiant, instinctive and subcultural: born from the raw spirit of jazz, the pulse of techno and the whisper of the speakeasy. 66 Greene acts as a new kind of cultural institution where fashion, art and underground expression converge.

Eclectic producer, multi-instrumentalist, and visual artist Monster Rally has released another cut from his upcoming collaborative album with today’s new single “Rosella” featuring Sessa. The Brazilian vocalist’s penchant for fusing rock, jazz, samba and soul references perfectly intersects with the collage-like tapestry of sound Monster Rally has become known for. The result is something lush, dreamy and purely psychedelic — Stream

On today’s collaboration, Monster Rally shares, “When I started the process for making this features album, one of the first artists I knew I wanted to reach out to was Sessa. I’ve been a fan of his music for years, since I first found his vinyl at a local record store when I lived in LA. At first I couldn’t tell if he was a new artist or someone from 1970s Brazil.”

“His music is the same way, he’s bringing the spirit of that era of music to his releases like no other artist is at the moment. ‘Rosealla’ is my take on that vibe of 70s tropicalia with some dub elements thrown in. Sessa lends his signature breezy vocals and guitar riffs to the track to make everything come together.”

Set for release on March 27, Monster Rally’s tenth full-length record is titled Echoes of the Emerald Sands. Venturing into uncharted territory, the upcoming record will be Monster Rally’s first that isn’t purely instrumental. He recruited not just one or two guest vocalists, but a whole fleet of artists and industry friends to sing over his recordings. The list of collaborators includes TV Girl, JordanaToledoMei SemonesX-CetraLeisureSessaNellaMiles Michaud (Allah-Las)BenétJordannMunya and more. Ditching the tropical, sample-based plunderphonics of his past work, he decided to record everything from scratch in his Cleveland home studio — resulting in some of the liveliest, most vivid music in Monster Rally history.

San Jose-based maximalist screamo band SUPERWORLD today announce their debut album Super World, out February 13 via Lauren Records. Alongside the announcement, the band has released the album’s lead single and video, “The Dream,” a dynamic and intricately layered track that reflects on how identity forms through observation, influence, and awe.

Alternative band Good Terms is excited to share Burnout Deluxe, an extended edition of their 2024 album Burnout. The record features recent single “Progress” as well as a newly released single titled “All In”. The song was recently added into heavy rotation on Sirius XM Faction Punk, where it has been streaming exclusively ahead of the song’s official release. Along with the album, the band has today released a new music video for “All In” – watch now here.

Fans can purchase a vinyl copy of Burnout Deluxe – limited to 500 copies – here, or stream the album here.

“‘Burnout’ has been a life changing album for us, and putting out ‘Burnout Deluxe’ is our way of celebrating it. We definitely did literally burn ourselves out, but the journey of going from writing riffs for ourselves in our bedrooms to playing to hundreds of people has been so rewarding and energizing that it’s all felt worth it. The experience has directly impacted the new songs on the deluxe album.” the band shares. “Meeting new people, seeing what songs got people singing along, and just finding out what songs were the most fun for us to play turned into new songs that we really believe in. I’ve also met so many people who’ve related to our songs in ways I never expected. They’ll tell me how our song helped them get through a hardship in their life, and their hardship will be so different from what I experienced that inspired me to write the song in the first place. The deluxe album feels like a celebration of all of these moments over the last few years with ‘Burnout’.

Katie Tupper releases her debut album Greyhound via Arts & Crafts. The record is about the instinct to chase–fleeting desires, guaranteed mistakes, the feeling of home, love in all its shapes and forms. It’s already knowing the ending but letting it unfold anyway. Often receiving comparisons to Olivia Dean and Charlotte Day Wilson, Tupper’s smoky alto voice wraps together soul, indie and alternative R&B with just a touch of folky twang. Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Greyhound will bring the prairie roots of Tupper’s past to meet the blended and expanded worldview of her present — Stream

Tupper contextualizes her debut body of work in saying, Greyhounds that race on tracks are given these parameters and rabbit decoys to chase that are unreachable. If the front/fastest dog gets close to the decoy it just speeds up to make them run faster. The dogs think they are chasing something reachable but by design it will always be slightly ahead of them. It made me think about my relationships and how I act in the world. I am often both the Greyhound and the decoy — chasing something unreachable and being the thing that cannot be caught.”

It’s this duality – the fast and slow, the hard and soft, deep and delicate–that shapes the journey of Greyhound. This record is a homecoming, a return to her roots with years of new experience. It embraces the expanse of the endless sky and the light of the golden fields with an undercurrent of the sidewalks and skylines she’s spent years calling home.

Album standout track “Disappear” arrives today with an official live video. Simply her voice and a piano, the live video shows the elegant force within Tupper. On the album version, Jordan Rakei and Rachel Bobbitt lent their vocal talents to the slow-burning, soft ballad. Tupper shared, “I wrote this song about a relationship I was in that was progressing way faster than I felt comfortable. I didn’t speak up for myself because I was worried I would hurt this person’s feelings and as a result I could feel myself quietly shrinking over the course of it.”

Blow” is the latest single from Ricky’s forthcoming album 10,000 Grams, a thematic sequel that reunites the Limosa Nostra founder and CEO with hit-making producer Lex Luger (Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, Mac Miller). The SoundCloud-bred emo trap collaboration arrives ahead of Ricky and SosMula’s Killa Season Tour this February. Hil’s catalog has garnered over 50 million streams, with highlights including collaborations with Lil Peep on “Lost In The Mail” and 2014’s breakthrough “Nomads” with The Weeknd. Nearly two decades in, he remains committed to fusing cultures, breaking barriers, and leading with authenticity. After building his career brick by brick, Ricky Hil is preparing his next powerful move with 10,000 Grams. Refusing to stray from the mindset that brought him here, he is dedicated to being utterly and completely himself.

Chicago songwriter Delaney Bailey is excited to unveil her new album Concave, available everywhere now via AWAL. On Concave, Bailey delivers a striking record that transforms vulnerability into expansive, cinematic songs anchored by her expressive vocal presence. Eleven songs navigate loss, desire, anger, and self-examination through layered production that feels colossal and intimate, framing personal moments against sweeping emotional backdrops. With its heightened sense of vision and atmosphere, Concave captures an artist expanding her sonic palette while inviting listeners into a fully realized inner landscape.

A hazy, animated video for the opening track “How To” premieres today. Reflecting on the track, Bailey explains, “‘How To’ is a song about my fear of developing memory loss in old age. The women on my mom’s side of the family tend to forget things as they get older, and as I’ve reached a stage in my life where I’m living on my own and taking care of myself, I’m constantly reminded that I should be doing things to keep that from happening. Learn now, when you have the time and energy to take preventive measures, before you’ve committed yourself to taking care of a family. I have a genuinely miraculous life, and I shouldn’t waste it waiting, stagnant and scared, for the inevitable to come.”

Jada Kingdom has never been interested in playing by anyone else’s rules. Today, she releases her most fearless and conversation-shifting project to date, Just A Girl In A Money Man’s World, out now independently via her imprint Kingdom Mab. Get it HERE today.

The EP captures a woman who understands the systems around her, money, desire, power, and chooses to move through them on her own terms. Rather than rejecting or romanticizing those dynamics, Jada studies them, challenges them, and bends them in her favor. Rooted in Caribbean storytelling and informed by global sound and culture, the project positions her not simply as a participant in the conversation, but as a force actively shaping it.

Across six tracks, Just A Girl In A Money Man’s World traces an evolution from awareness to agency, using musical history as conversation rather than nostalgia. The EP opens with “Still Searching,” a reflective reinterpretation of a 2001 Damian Marley classic that signals discernment and preparation. That perspective is flipped into control on “Maxine,” inspired by Chaka Demus & Pliers’ 1992 staple “Murder She Wrote,” one of dancehall’s most enduring records. The clarity hardens into boundaries on “Don’t Talk To Me,” built around a I Just Wanna Love U (Give It 2 Me) sample by The Neptunes and Jay-Z and produced by Di Genius, where confidence without substance is dismissed outright.
