Texas Governor Greg Abbott is gearing up for the intense storms projected to hit the Lone Star State this weekend.

On Saturday, the Governor announced on X that he has deployed emergency response resources across Texas in preparation for the projected intense thunderstorms around the state.

“Texans are urged to monitor weather conditions, make an emergency plan, and heed the guidance of state and local officials,” Abbott’s post said.

According to the National Weather Service, the risks associated with the storms include intense winds, hail, and rainfall that could result in flash flooding.
