Bad Bunny handed his Grammy award to a child during the Super Bowl halftime show. But who was the boy? Here’s what we know.
WASHINGTON — One particular moment in Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show caught the attention of viewers and sent many looking for answers.
During the historic halftime show performance, Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, was seen handing his Grammy award to a young boy who was watching a clip of the singer’s recent Grammy speech.
Who exactly was the child in the halftime show?
Some viewers were quick to claim online the child was Liam Ramos, a 5-year-old from Minnesota who was detained by immigration officers in Minnesota and held at an ICE facility in Texas. A photo of Liam went viral after ICE agents detained him at school pickup at Valley View Elementary School in Columbia Heights.
However, that doesn’t appear to be the case.
Instead, the boy seems to be a child actor by the name of Lincoln Fox.
Social media users found Fox’s Instagram after his halftime show moment and noticed a clip of Bad Bunny’s performance had been posted.
“I’ll remember this day forever,” Fox’s account wrote.
Bad Bunny performed his halftime show entirely in Spanish — as all of his music is recorded in the language, though he has collaborated with English-language artists. The only English singing came from a surprise appearance by Lady Gaga.
There were also some additional celebrity guests: Cardi B, Jessica Alba, Pedro Pascal, Karol G, Young Miko, Ronald Acuña Jr., Alix Earle and Dave Grutman were guests at his pari de marquesina (“house party”).
A couple was actually married during the wedding scene at Bad Bunny’s halftime show.
Representatives for the artist say the couple invited Bad Bunny to their wedding, and he invited them to instead be part of his Super Bowl show.
During a segment where Lady Gaga joined Bad Bunny to perform “Baile Inolvidable,” they took their vows.
Bad Bunny served as a witness and signed their marriage certificate.

The chance of Team USA medaling in the event rested squarely on the 21-year-old’s shoulders. Here’s how he performed.
MILAN, Metropolitan City of Milan — Ilia Malinin of the U.S. was poised to decide the team figure skating medals at the Milan Cortina Olympics on Saturday. His performance did not disappoint.
Malinin, who went into his first-ever Olympic performance as the gold-medal favorite, stunned judges with the vast majority of his performance. The 21-year-old skater recovered masterfully from a fall midway through his performance, pulling off his signature quad-loop into triple-axel, which no one else in the world has been able to pull off.
Judges awarded Malinin’s performance 200.03 points, which commentators of the performance said was a “magic number” for Olympic skaters. Japan skater Shun Sato, 22, had never scored over 200. Despite having a fantastic performance, that didn’t change on Saturday as judges awarded him a 194.86, leading to a gold medal for the United States.
The U.S. and Japan were both sitting on 59 points after seven of the eight programs in the three-day competition. Amber Glenn finished behind Japanese star Kaori Sakamoto and Anastasiia Gubanova of Georgia in the women’s free skate on Sunday night, leaving the defending champion Americans tied with their biggest rivals with only the men’s free skate still to go.
Japan got a surprising lift on Saturday night when Yuma Kagiyama upset the heavily favored Malinin in the short program, giving his team the maximum of 10 points. But the Japanese decided to swap Kagiyama out for the free skate for Sato, who finished behind his countryman at their national championships in December.
But the U.S. was always going to give Malinin the opportunity to be its closer. The two-time reigning world champion was mediocre only by his standards in his short program. But Malinin’s real strength comes in the free skate, where there are seven jumping passes and his incredible leaping ability gives him a tremendous advantage.

A family in Sacramento County is grieving and frustrated after Daniel Sanchez, 61, was killed in a hit-and-run while changing a tire, and the suspect has been released on bail.Daniel’s son, 11-year-old Anthony Sanchez, expressed his sorrow, saying, “He’s not gonna be able to watch me like graduate or grow up, so it’s just sad to deal with it.” Angela Holguin, the mother of Daniel’s children, shared the difficulty of the situation, stating, “Knowing that it was a hit and run made it that much harder.” She recounted the moment she learned of the tragedy, saying, “She called me and I answered, and she was hysterically crying, and I just knew. SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A major retail theft crackdown led to 21 arrests at a Dollar Tree in South Sacramento, where sheriff’s deputies say repeat theft has taken a heavy toll on the store.
The operation took place on Thursday at the Dollar Tree on Florin Road after the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said the store reported nearly a 65% loss compared with last year. Deputies arrested almost two dozen people during an eight-hour retail theft operation, according to the sheriff’s office.
The store declined to comment on the operation, but customers shopping there shared mixed reactions. Some said they were unaware theft had been such a problem, while others said crime in the area is common and welcomed enforcement efforts.
“Well, it’s affordable, and I come here like twice a week. I could just get really anything, birthday things, things for the kids, snacks,” said Rita Zaverukha, a Dollar Tree customer.
Sgt. Edward Igoe of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said those arrested represented a wide range of people. Twenty-one people were taken into custody, including four juveniles, he said.
“It’s really a mixture of all of society that’s coming in,” Igoe said, adding that thieves ranged from people without housing to others arriving in newer vehicles.
The sheriff’s office said the Florin Road location generated 67 calls for service in just three months. Igoe said one juvenile told deputies he and his friends targeted the store because it was easy to steal from.
Some customers said the theft is concerning but not surprising.
“I mean, it’s concerning, but it’s kind of expected,” Zaverukha said. “You just got to stay out of the way.”
Others said they worry theft could affect prices and employee safety.
“It’s concerning about the management, the employees,” said customer Sophia Salim, adding that continued losses could lead to higher prices.
The sheriff’s office said theft losses can add up quickly and could put about 10 jobs at this store at risk. Igoe said businesses can only absorb so much loss before they shut down, leaving communities without nearby retail options.
Customer Anita Prasad said she would like to see more security inside stores, noting that deputies can’t respond to every theft call.
“So I think it’s more management who needs to take into consideration how the security level is,” Prasad said.
The sheriff’s office said all 21 people arrested will be charged with shoplifting, and six of them are eligible for charges under Proposition 36, which allows felony charges for certain repeat retail theft offenders. Deputies say they are working with multiple businesses across the county to address theft.

A Coalinga man was arrested after intentionally striking four pedestrians, including children, outside a Safeway in Truckee, police say.
TRUCKEE, Calif. — A man was arrested after a driver intentionally struck four people outside a Safeway store Saturday, according to the Truckee Police Department.
Officers responded around 2:45 p.m. to reports of a vehicle hitting pedestrians near the store’s front entrance, police said.
Investigators determined the driver intentionally ran over the victims, police said.
The driver was identified as Jonathan Maurer, 49, of Coalinga. He was taken into custody at the scene and booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility in Nevada City.
The four victims — including adults and children — suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Maurer faces multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon likely to produce great bodily injury, felony vandalism and violation of post-release community supervision terms.
The incident remains under investigation.

ELK GROVE, Calif — The Elk Grove Animal Shelter is temporarily pausing adoptions and intakes of healthy dogs due to an outbreak of Pneumovirus, a highly infectious respiratory infection.
Intakes will be limited through Feb. 17, as shelter officials say they will accept only stray dogs that are severely sick or injured, or aggressive and that require immediate intervention.
Adoptions will be paused for 7-14 days as officials say dogs in the shelter are at increased risk of exposure to the respiratory virus. Owners will still be able to reclaim lost pets during this period and will receive symptom guidance and short-term medical support if the virus is detected.
There is no vaccine for Pneumovirus. Currently, all dogs at the shelter are experiencing mild symptoms, but staff warns the disease can progress to a more serious condition and can become life-threatening.

Speedskater Greta Myers, 21, of Minnesota was added to the 3,000 meter women’s competition roughly three hours before the race started.
MILAN, Italy — U.S. speedskater Greta Myers made her Olympic debut Saturday in the women’s 3,000 meter event after she was added to the race mere hours before it began.
The 21-year-old from Minnesota finished with a time of 4:13.46 and was one of 20 skaters competing in the event.
Myers was added to the competition roughly three hours before the race started, after Czechia’s Martina Sablikova withdrew from the race.
Myers’ excitement was palpable in a post she shared on social media after learning the news.
“HEY! I’ll be racing the 3k today!!!!,” she wrote. “Quite unexpected but I’m so incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to skate and give it my very best!!”
Myers’ participation race came as a bit of a surprise after the U.S. failed to qualify any skaters for either of the two women’s long-distance events when entering the Winter Games, but Myers topped the U.S. Olympic Trials for the event in January and was able to secure the first alternate quota spot with her results on the World Cup circuit, according to an NBC report.
Myers placed 20th in the event, falling 19.18 seconds behind gold medal winner Francesca Lollobrigida of Italy, who set a new Olympic record of 3:54.28 on her 35th birthday.
Myers has also qualified to compete in the women’s 1,500 meter, the women’s mass start and the women’s team pursuit relay.
