Hix is regarded as one of the most exciting DJs around, known for his blistering high-energy club sets and massive festival performances. He has DJ’d on stage with some of the biggest names in the world, having supported David Guetta, Tiesto, Martin Garrix and many more. He’s signed a major label deal with Warner Records and his music has been backed by the biggest radio stations in the UK and Ireland, including BBC Radio 1, Capital Dance, Capital, KISS and many more. A highly-respected radio presenter in his own right, Hix also hosts The Evening Show on Northern Ireland’s biggest station, COOL FM, showcasing the hottest and freshest dance music around.
Kelli-Leigh’s astonishing career includes over 500 million streams on Spotify, 2 UK numbers 1s and 3 UK Top 10 hits. Her unmistakable vocals feature on the club anthems, ‘More Than Friends’ (James Hype), ‘I Wanna Feel’ (Second City) and the Billboard dance chart and GRAMMY nominated number 1 ‘I Got U’ (Duke Dumont & Jax Jones). But it’s her work as a solo artist that Kelli-Leigh is being recognised and celebrated for now, garnering a loyal fanbase and huge support from Kiss FM, Radio 1, Virgin Radio DXB, Sirius XM & Gaydio. Also no stranger to the live scene, Kelli-Leigh has taken to the stage at many of the UK’s most iconic venues, including London’s O2 Academy and the Roundhouse, performing alongside huge names like Adele, Jessie J and Leona Lewis in the process.
It’s only fitting that these two immensely talented artists have now come together for what is an addictive, uplifting anthem, titled “Oh No You Didn’t,” that is sure to be rinsed for many years to come. Kelli-Leigh provides a powerful vocal performance while Hix provides layers of infectious piano and house elements. “Oh No You Didn’t” shows Hix and Kelli-Leigh at the top of their games with no signs of slowing down.
If you have been creating music for a while, you may feel like you’ve hit a brick wall with your writing. This could be the case for writers in all stages of their careers. Embracing risk and curiosity in your process can help shift your mindset when it comes to creation. Here are three new approaches to help get you in a groove and out of your creative rut!
Write multiple versions and choose what you like best
Sometimes the best way out of a rut is to work through it. Instead of settling on the first iteration of an idea, try digging deeper to see if you can interpret it in multiple ways. Could you create a couple more demo versions of the same song? How about jotting down different ways of expressing yourself through your lyrics? Rather than doing something radically new, this approach is about refinement and uncovering the most compelling version of an idea.
Start small with a single note or a non-pitched instrument
More is not always better in music, especially when it comes to notes. It’s easy for songs to get weighed down by notes that don’t add anything to the music. A helpful approach to try out is to experiment singing over a single-pitched instrument like a bass guitar, or a non-pitched instrument, like an electronic drum kit.
It’s easier to start minimally and add chords in if you want, as opposed to starting with a full arrangement and stripping things down. Bear in mind nothing is keeping you from developing your original idea if you like! This approach is great for narrowing down your musical skills and harnessing your creativity in direct, impactful ways. You might not like or use what you write when doing this, but the aim is to put you in a place of curiosity and unguarded musical engagement.
Experiment with musical extremes
In conventional songwriting, we usually avoid extremes such as lightning-fast tempos or harmonic dissonance. However, embracing at least one extreme might be a good starting point if you’re looking for a new approach. Working with ideas you’re not used to is one way to find new musical inspiration. Use it as a launching point to develop loads of rich, innovative ideas!
As songwriters, we can choose between exploring something that feels new or to sticking to approaches and ideas we’ve used before. While it’s comfortable and safe to travel down the same roads, it’s unlikely you’ll create anything new and special that way.

Even with all the technology and connectivity we have today, it can be surprising that EDM, and specifically D&B, can permeate into some of the most remote areas of the world. Case in point: the Azores, a collection of nine volcanic islands located dead centrer of the nortern Atlantic, halfway between Newfoundland and Portugal. Considered part of Portugal as one of two autonomous regions (the other is Maderia), the Azores could be claimed by any country, really, because they’re not terribly close to anything, but Portugal seems to have managed to maintain a Puerto Rico-style agreement with the Azoreans since the 16th century so that’s good enough for us.
These little factoids above do little more than to underline just how extraordinary that someone like Impex, who is from the Azores, would even be into drum & bass, let alone getting attention from big banger labels like Eatbrain and Korsakov Music. This is all the more extraordinary when one considers Impex has only been releasing for three years. With tracks on Korsakov Music’s Future Stars Vol. 2 and Eatbrain’s recent Divergence IV compilation albums and one called “Epic” with Korsakov’s A&R organ grinder monkey AL/SO on US label Boomslang Recordings, Impex’s neuro/dancefloor bucket list is coming along nicely considering his first track released in late 2019 on fellow remote island Tenerife-based Histeria Records (what is there, a secret island D&B network we were heretofore unaware of?).
This Thursday, November 17 is yet another milestone for Impex: his first EP on a big label. It’s no surprise, as Korsakov once again was the first big box to notice Impex, but what is surprising is it’s his second EP in just over a month. His debut The Minute EP dropped in early in October on UK underground label Dirtbox Recordings and showcased his more neuro/experimental side while the upcoming How Low is slightly more dancefloor-forward for the Korsakov crew, so it makes sens why the two EPs have been separated thus. Nonetheless, it’s pretty impressive that Impex is producing so many tunes of such diversity in such a short period.
Getting into How Low itself since it is what we came here to talk about. When we say it’s only slightly more dancefloor than the work on The Minute, it really is by a small measure. the tracks here are still aggressive, crunchy and unabashedly neuro in terms of synths and sound design, but the underlying beats and breakdowns are just a little more roller-y and ravey, respectively. “The Choke,” for example, has an old school starburst beat to anchor the almost industrial, late 90s rave synths. “Give Them Hope” also has roller vibes keeping feet on the dancefloor as the overline production gets more and more complex, with a heavily ornamented, Beethoven-esque synth line. This track would have to be on the dancefloor, because that’s the only way anyone could deal with this level of hype.
How Low‘s title track is our YEDM premiere today and seems to be sort of the bridge between The Minute and this EP, as it’s almost as out there as the tracks on that previous EP. This makes it also a great bridge between neuro and dancefloor, as it’s fast and hyped but technically risky and full of snarling, evil breakdowns that experimental neuroheads will love. Think Current Value-meets-Gydra-meets-dancefloor: you can get low and stomp to “How Low,” but you can also join the chin-strokers in the back and marvel at the composition of this track. It might be Impex’s best track in terms of tech and balance thus far, and he’s only getting started.
Needless to say, Impex is one neuronerds and dancefloor delinquents will want to follow, starting about two years ago. If How Low and The Minute are the level he’s already achieving, the D&B world at large can expect even more of the unexpected to come from this upstsart artist, remotely dropping some of the dirtiest tracks ever from a remote island chain in the middle of the ocean.
How Low drops this Thursday, November 17 on Korsakov Music. Click here to pre-order or pre-save.

Now, whatever that band is called, is in the studio tracking their debut material. As for the absence of Williams, all we know is that Buckley said back in August that the band was “saving Andy‘s spot while he wisely tends to all the success that pro wrestling has brought him! But he’s always with us in spirit.” Still, we’re definitely looking forward to hearing this!
“Day 1. We fucked around and found out. We even found out and THEN fucked around. This was the day I had to visualize in order to get myself out of bed during all the months that depression was both big and little spoon. I am so very grateful and thankful to have another opportunity to make music with and for people I love. My shoulder strap now has a chip on it, and since I haven’t been able get it off yet I might as well use it for motivation. We need all of it that we can get since this whole operation is being self funded.
“Scary shit in this economy, but we believe in ourselves and each other so you’ll definitely see us on stage asap as possible. Maybe you’ll be there. If so, thank you. You’re gonna fucking love our songs. Thoughts become things, and I can’t stop thinking about you stage diving to these nasty ass drum fills [Holyoak] has been laying down! ❤️ Peace and love peace and love. Go Bills.”

About David Arkenstone
5-time Grammy® Nominee David Arkenstone has established himself as one of the best contemporary instrumentalists of our time. This visionary continues to create distinctive tracks that inspire the imagination. A musical storyteller, David is passionate about taking listeners on a journey, creating sonic tapestries that evoke every emotion. “I envision a place where I would like to go, or an adventure I would like to take, and let my imagination run free,” says David. “I’ve gotten countless messages from listeners who love to take these journeys with me. I’m sometimes surprised by how powerfully people respond to my music.”
David enjoys touring and meeting his fans from around the world. “One of the most exciting things about performing live is the interaction I have with the audience. It’s very different than making a recording, where you’re not sure who will be listening to it. A lot of the roots of our musicianship come into focus in a live situation. You’re in the moment, you perform your best, and many times reach new heights – then it’s gone and on to the next one!”
MBW’s Stat Of The Week is a series in which we highlight a single data point that deserves the attention of the global music industry. Stat Of the Week is supported by Cinq Music Group, a technology-driven record label, distribution, and rights management company.
The use of artificial intelligence-created music just moved up a gear.
We’re not talking about AI in mere instrumental music production, but the use of machine learning to actually mimic and even recreate human vocals – rendering the need for a real singer obsolete.
MBW first explored this topic last March, in which we analyzed the long-term implications of HYBE’s investment into (and subsequent acquisition of) Korea-based Artificial Intelligence company Supertone – which claims that its AI tech can create “a hyper-realistic and expressive voice [not] distinguishable from real humans”.
Now, over in China, things have reached the next level: Tencent Music Entertainment (TME) says that it has created and released over 1,000 tracks containing vocals created by AI tech that mimics the human voice.
And get this: one of these tracks has already surpassed 100 million streams.
During the three months to end of September, TME rolled out what it refers to as “patented voice synthesis technology”, the Lingyin Engine. This tech, says TME, can “quickly and vividly replicate singers’ voices to produce original songs of any style and language”.
Part of TME’s initial work using the Lingyin Engine involved developing “synthetic voices in memory of legendary artists” such as the late Teresa Teng, and the late Anita Mui.
(‘Resurrecting’ the voice of a deceased star is something HYBE’s Supertone gained a lot of media attention for last year: The company used its own tech to recreate the voice of South Korean folk superstar Kim Kwang-seok.)
Cussion Pang, TME’s Executive Chairman, explained to analysts earlier today (November 15) that TME used the Lingyin Engine to “pay tribute” to Anita Mui by “creating an AI code based on her [voice]” for a new track – May You Be Treated Kindly By This World [English transation] – released in support of the New Sunshine Charity Foundation in China.
“[This track] has become the first song by an AI singer to be streamed over 100 million times across the internet.”
Cussion Pang, Tencent Music Entertainment
Teresa Teng’s voice was recreated by TME/the Lingyin Engine to lead the track Letter Not Sent [English translation], released earlier this year to mark the anniversary of the Taiwanese star’s death.
TME also confirmed today (November 15) that – in addition to “paying tribute” to the vocals of dead artists via the Lingyin Engine – it has also created “an AI singer lineup with the voices of trending [i.e currently active] stars such as Yang Chaoyue, among others”.
As mentioned, by the end of September, TME says it had created and released over 1,000 songs with human-style vocals manufactured by the Lingyin Engine.
One of those tracks has set the standard for popularity: TME’s Cussion Pang confirmed this morning to analysts that a version of one song, which appears to be called Today (English translation), “has become the first song by an AI singer to be streamed over 100 million times across the internet”.
Where could all of this go next?
For one thing, the mind inevitably wanders to the fact that over 100,000 tracks are now being uploaded to major global music streaming services every single day.
Where could that figure scale up to if limitless tracks are now being born with uncanny human-esque AI vocals?
It’s also worth remembering what Choi Hee-doo, the COO of Supertone – that’s the Korean AI voice-creation platform – said last year, when pondering how the tech might evolve.
“For example, BTS is really busy these days, and it’d be unfortunate if they can’t participate in content due to lack of time,” the exec told CNN.
“So, if BTS uses our technology when making games or audiobooks or dubbing an animation… they wouldn’t necessarily have to record [that audio live] in person.”
Interestingly, K-pop company HYBE’s biggest organic revenue driver in Q3 2022 was its Artist ‘Indirect-involvement’ business line, which sees the name and likeness of superstar artists such as BTS used in other areas like games and advertising without requiring the band’s active participation.
HYBE has now doubled down on its AI-generated voice plans, by fully acquiring Supertone in October in a $32 million deal.
Indeed, when HYBE confirmed that BTS would be enlisting in the army last month, HYBE CEO Jiwon Park, breaking down HYBE’s strategy without its top-earning act, said that the company’s newly acquired AI voice startup will “serve as a key piece of the technology sphere we aim to create”.
He added: “HYBE plans to unveil new content and services to our fans by combining our content-creation capabilities with Supertone’s AI-based speaking and singing vocal synthesis technology.”
In addition to HYBE and TME, there’s also another giant of the technology and music world that seems to be betting big on AI: TikTok and its parent company ByteDance.
Back in July 2019, ByteDance acquired Jukedeck, a UK-based AI Music startup that specialized in creating royalty-free music for user-generated online videos.
In May, ByteDance launched Mawf, a machine-learning driven music-making app that analyses incoming audio signals and then “re-renders” those signals using what it says is machine learning models of musical instruments. ByteDance also recently launched a music creation app in China called ‘Sponge Band’ according to Tech Planet.
This year, as first reported by MBW, the company has been doubling down on its AI-powered music-making ambitions via a hiring spree for AI music experts.
TikTok is specifically (and currently) hiring for a Research Scientist in Speech Synthesis in California. TikTok says that this person will “lead research to advance science and technology in Natural Language Processing and Speech Processing (e.g., Speech Synthesis, ASR)”.
They will also “research, model, design, develop and evaluate novel machine learning models and algorithms”.
TikTok says that this team’s focus is “on cutting-edge R&D in areas like speech & audio, music processing, natural language understanding and multimodal deep learning”.
Could TikTok – which runs its own artist distribution service SoundOn, and is reportedly preparing to expand its Resso music service into more markets – release tracks in the near future (just like Tencent Music) either fully created by AI, or featuring ‘AI synthetic voices’?
If it did, what would it mean for its relationship with the music industry?
Having the right tools and processes that allow for frictionless output of creative ideas is paramount to any musician’s workflow.
This notion is a key pillar of London-based Vochlea Music, an audio company empowering creatives with Dubler 2. The advanced voice-to-MIDI desktop application uses the most intuitive instrument of all, the human voice, to effortlessly print musical ideas into MIDI.
Dubler 2 is a standalone app which connects to any DAW. It comes with a game-changing “MIDI Capture” AU/VST plugin, which musicians can utilize to produce and manipulate vocal-driven beats without even touching a keyboard.
It’s important to note that Dubler 2 is compatible only with dynamic microphones. After you’ve connected your mic (the same way you would an external MIDI keyboard) and trained it to your voice—a process that takes less than 30 seconds—you’ll be able to use the software within your DAW.
The program allows producers to trigger oneshot samples, control synths, play chords, manipulate filters and effects, lock to a key, track pitch, pitch-bend and simultaneously control envelopes, velocity and MIDI mapping values.

c/o Vochlea Music
The most straightforward way to use Dubler 2 is to sing notes into your microphone and watch the software turn them into MIDI inside your DAW real-time. And with 14 scales and advanced key detection and suggestion, you don’t have to be an adept singer to utilize its voice-to-MIDI feature. You can also take advantage of the “Sing in Notes” feature, which displays a list of selected keys that match your input signal in case you’re unsure about the key of your project.
It doesn’t stop there. Dubler 2 allows for even more advanced voice-to-MIDI controls. If you enjoy beatboxing, you can map various vocal samples along with claps or snaps, and trigger them in real time for complex drum grooves. You can also choose from a list of chord presets to easily create progressions from scratch, or map your voice to effects and parameters inside your DAW.
Dubler 2 is available for purchase starting at $219. You can sign up here to be among the first to get access to Vochlea Music’s next livestreams.

King Combs joined Swaggy Sie to share how he linked with Kodak Black on “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop,” how he is building his own personal legacy, and what’s to come. SoundCheks are a Hip Hop Nation (Ch. 44) series that highlight artists’ new projects and puts them center stage to perform their music. We connected with King Combs about what he plans on doing for the next generation of hip-hop.
The interview below has been edited for clarity and length.
Swaggy Sie: You been so busy, and I want to say congratulations on everything you have done. How has this wave been for you?
King Combs: Thank you. You know I got my new single, “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop,” out right now. The people are loving it. We were number one on the most used sounds and stuff like that.
Swaggy Sie: You’ve been doing fashion shows, you’ve been at homecomings, you hit up the BET Hip Hop awards, so it is definitely giving “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop.” The BET Awards was your first time performing at an award show. What was that like for you?
King Combs: That was crazy, I’m not gonna lie. It was a surreal moment. I’m used to going with my pops, which is a blessing, but to be there to perform by myself was dope. I always envisioned myself doing that.
Swaggy Sie:You’re no stranger to stardom and the cameras. Were you nervous at all?
King Combs: I’m not gonna lie, usually I don’t get nervous, but this time I was nervous. I was like aw, man this The BET Awards! We on the main stage, this is crazy. It was like excitement, you know? I been wanting to do it.
Swaggy Sie: How do you deal with those nerves when it happens?
King Combs: You know, I just stay prayed up. I pray to God. I just like to dance it off and just vibe.
Swaggy Sie: You’ve been in the studio, I’ve been hearing something is getting cooked up. What’s going on? A new project?
King Combs: New heat is beeing cooked up. A new project is about to drop soon. Stay tuned. We are going to drop some singles before that.
Swaggy Sie: Do you feel like the singles are the wave right now?
King Combs: Yeah singles are definitely the wave, but I’m definitely excited for the fans to hear my project though. I feel like that’s something I am going to be proud of when they finally get to hear that.
Swaggy Sie: You know how to put a creative project together from head to toe. Do you feel like your creative process was different for this one?
King Combs: Yeah, I feel like it’s a bit different. You know like, over the last two years, Quarantine and stuff I got to like evolve as an artist. I feel like this one will be for sure the best one yet. We got hits on hits on hits there I been stacking them up so I can’t wait for the people to hear this.
Swaggy Sie: I grew up in an era where music made you feel good. Do you feel like that is missing now?
King Combs: Yeah it is missing a little bit, but that is what we are about to bring back right now with my new single “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop” and my next project. We are definitely going have people just feeling good, make them wanna dance, and just have a good time. It’s not always about shooting other people and all of that. You want to spread positivity too.
Swaggy Sie:You came from that feel good era too. When you put together records like that, do you have to look to your dad sometimes for the stamp of approval? He knows a hit when he hears one.
King Combs: You know, he is definitely the ultimate stamp of approval. If he be like “for sure that’s a hit”, then we got one. You know, he don’t play about that.
Swaggy Sie: You know you been outside a lot. Is there anything that you look towards right now in terms of sounds? Is there a sound that you are gravitating towards?
King Combs: For me, I like to go off whatever moves me instantly. I can’t mess with any beat. It has to be a beat that I caught a vibe right off the rip. It has to be something that I love and I can hear all day. I am not too particular about sounds, like, I am not against 808s or certain different types of drum patterns. As long as it makes me feel good.
Swaggy Sie: From the outside looking in, some people may think “King Combs has it all”, but for you that might be different. What does success look like for you?
King Combs: I know my family has been successful, and my pops has a lot of accolades but me myself I want to be successful. I want to have my own legacy, and my own awards too. I feel like I am just starting, and I really have a lot more to prove. We need some Grammy and trophies too, man.
Swaggy Sie: You and your father [Diddy] be outside. You are the first Father and Son duo to be on the charts at the same damn time. Congratulations! What is that impact like for you?
King Combs: It’s definitely dope. I been watching my pops and I never really wanted him to retire. I wanted us to kinda like, be doing it at the same time, so for us to both be on the charts at the same time…is a blessing.
Swaggy Sie: What was it like putting this record together with Kodak?
King Combs: It was fun, even down to the music video. We had a good time. It was a vibe.
Swaggy Sie: Kodak doesn’t dance too much. How’d you get him to dance?
King Combs: Nah, he was like “We gotta dance in the video. We gotta go crazy.” Haha. I was like “Okay, bet let’s do it!” So we had to pull the moves out for that one.
Swaggy Sie: I know you gifted him that Bad Boy chain. Why was that important for you?
King Combs: I felt like with that song, he was one of us. You know? This is a big moment in my career, and this a big moment in both of our careers. We about to go number 1 together. Pops even said “Yo, we gotta give him a chain.” too. So we made it official.
Swaggy Sie: Before you go, I gotta ask you what’s next?
King Combs: A tour about to come. We coming to a city near you. Stay tuned. Stay tuned for the project today. It’s coming real soon. Follow ya boy @kingcombs. Let’s get it.

Bruce Springsteen appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday night (November 14) to perform his cover of Frank Wilson’s “Do I Love You (Indeed I Do).” He also stuck around for an interview, during which he talked about his new album Only the Strong Survive, the correct lyrics to the often misheard “Thunder Road,” and potentially attending Taylor Swift’s upcoming tour. Watch it all happen below.
Only the Strong Survive is a collection of soul music covers by a wide-ranging list of artists, including the Commodores’ “Nightshift,” Ben E. King’s “Don’t Play That Song (You Lied),” and transgender pioneer Jackie Shane’s “Any Other Way.” When explaining why he chose to cover soul songs in particular, Springsteen said, “My goal is for the modern audience to experience its beauty and joy, just as I have since I first heard it.”
Starting on February 1, 2023, Springsteen will embark on a world tour with the E Street Band in support of his new albums. The lengthy run will mark his first tour in six years. Fans have spoken out against Ticketmaster’s “dynamic pricing” for the concerts, which listed tickets at prices upwards of $5,000, but Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau defended the tour’s ticket pricing model in a statement.
The famed DJ Gino Gomez has spun decks and wowed audiences across the world over the past decade. He is renowned for his retro-mashups and electro-bouncing sound and for making original tracks in collaboration with Andrew, his brother. Here’s the low-down on this man’s incredible career and how he’s helping other budding artists.
Gino grew up like many other music professionals, surrounded by musical-loving parents with diverse tastes in music and cultural history. His father’s Afro-Cuban blend and enjoyment of the Beatles made for a rich sound and the counterpart was his mother’s taste for Madonna and other pop sensations of the 70s and 80s period. Gomez’s mashups and overall musical vibe are a reflection of his childhood, blending nostalgia with a post-modern take.
Gomez’s creativity has enabled him to work with a guitarist from Gypsy Kings fame and other celebrities producing live recordings. This is quite a feat for any musician to gain attraction from the largest names around, yet Gomez did this. Furthermore, you can expect that he has a host of names in his address book that may help support future artists.
Everything was going great until Gino was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. His life was interrupted, and Gino had to seek treatment in New York City. After well over a year of battling cancer, Gino questioned what he was doing. He decided to create a production and events business at one decisive point. This would allow him to give back everything he learned from his peers and throughout his highly successful career. Today he helps other artists with producing, bookings, event management, touring, and planning. This company called ‘Hurry Up Slowly,’ named after a fun phrase during that period, now helps many aspiring stars reach the big time.
Starting up a business has not stopped Gino from performing or creating original content, though. At present, he’s touring the world, including; the US, UK, Spain, and Greece.
Stream Gino on all platforms everywhere, and be sure to see him Live at a venue near you!
After a barrage of requests from their fans, Rezz and Seven Lions have finally released “Arcturus,” a long-awaited collaboration.
Seven Lions debuted the track more than a year ago at EDC Las Vegas, where it left fans speechless as it combined the talents of two of the biggest names in today’s bass music scene. Now, “Arcturus” has been released in an official capacity.
With a flurry of cinematic, stomping bass, “Arcturus” opens like a certified Rezz classic. The track then quickly switches gears and drops into a psytrance breakdown reminiscent of some of Seven Lions’ deeper cuts. Blending gothic, orchestral sound design with a dramatic build, the duo combined their distinct sounds with ease to produce a versatile anthem that will be tough to escape on the festival circuit.
In addition to the release of “Arcturus,” Rezz revealed that she and Lions have plans to work on a second collaboration. She said the track’s follow-up will be “more official” and receive a release on major streaming platforms like Spotify.
Just ask Romy of The xx, whose haunting new single, “Strong,” is a soul-stirring ode to resiliency. Produced in collaboration with Fred again.. and prolific record producer Stuart Price, the cathartic track is about learning how to process grief.
It’s only the second-ever solo track from Romy, who said “Strong” was inspired in part by the loss of her mother and written to “ultimately find a sense of release in the euphoria of music.” The single arrives ahead of her debut studio album, which is still in the works.
Check out the official music video for “Strong” below. The audiovisual was directed by Romy’s wife, filmmaker and photographer Vic Lentaigne.
warner case, badxyou, RYLLZ, Lost Identities and more are featured in this week’s installment of “Underground Vibes.”
Meanwhile, Fred again.. is fresh off the release of Actual Life 3 (January 1 – September 9 2022), his third full-length and one of the year’s most hotly anticipated albums. Romy says the surging Brit was a kindred spirit in the studio.
“My friendship with Fred means a lot to me, our closeness helps me to feel safe to be honest and vulnerable lyrically and we definitely connect over our love of songwriting and emotions in dance music,” Romy said in a statement. “It’s amazing and inspiring seeing and hearing what Fred is doing in his solo work and I’m very excited to be releasing this song together.”

Pete Pistone and the rest of the SiriusXM Big Ten Radio team will unveil “Power Rankings” each week of the college football season. Check out their Week 11 “Power Rankings” below, and start listening to SiriusXM Big Ten Radio (Ch. 372) on the SiriusXM app now.
Here’s how the SXM Big Ten Radio team voted to shape this week’s edition of the “Power Rankings” after week 11 of the 2022 season.
Blake Corum ran for 162 yards and a touchdown, helping No. 3 Michigan stay undefeated with a 34-3 win over Nebraska on Saturday. The Wolverines (10-0, 7-0 Big Ten, No. 3 CFP) have won their first 10 games for the first time since 2006, when they closed the regular season as the second-ranked team with a loss to rival and top-ranked Ohio State.
Miyan Williams rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown before leaving with an injury late in the first half, C.J Stroud threw five TD passes and No. 2 Ohio State buried Indiana 56-14 on Saturday. The Buckeyes (10-0, 7-0 Big Ten, No. 2 CFP) had piled up 377 yards by the time Williams left the game and seemed to be back on track after struggling to beat Northwestern on a windy day the previous week. They finished with 662.
Nick Singleton scored two touchdowns and ran for 113 of his 122 yards in the first half and the defense of No. 14 Penn State smothered Maryland in a 30-0 win on Saturday. Tight end Brenton Strange caught a touchdown pass and Jake Pinegar kicked three field goals for the Nittany Lions (8-2, 5-2 Big Ten, No. 14 CFP), who beat Maryland for the seventh time in nine games since the Terps (6-4, 3-4) joined the Big Ten in 2014
Cooper DeJean returned an interception for a touchdown and set up another score with a 41-yard punt return as Iowa defeated Wisconsin 24-10 on Saturday. The Hawkeyes (6-4, 4-3 Big Ten) moved into a tie for the Big Ten West lead with their third consecutive win. Iowa, ranked 129th nationally in total offense, had just 142 yards and averaged 2.1 yards per play, but took advantage of plays made by its defense and special teams.
Aidan O’Connell passed for 237 yards and three scores, two to Payne Durham, and Purdue beat No. 21 Illinois 31-24 on Saturday to turn the Big Ten West race into a muddled mess. The win gives the Boilermakers (6-4, 4-3 Big Ten) a crucial head-to-head tiebreaker over the Illini (7-3, 4-3 Big Ten), who were firmly in control until losing their last two games.
Mohamed Ibrahim rushed for 178 yards and three touchdowns and Minnesota’s defense continued its dominance on Saturday as the Golden Gophers defeated Northwestern 31-3. Ibrahim, who carried the ball 36 times, extended his streak of consecutive 100-yard rushing games to 18, the longest in FBS since 2000. He also became the seventh player in Big Ten history with 50 career rushing touchdowns.
Payton Thorne threw for 256 yards and two touchdowns and Ben Patton hit two fourth-quarter field goals to lift Michigan State to a 27-21 victory Saturday over Rutgers and keep the Spartans’ bowl hopes alive. The Spartans built a 21-7 lead early in the third quarter on Thorne’s 25-yard touchdown pass to Jayden Reed.
