YouTuber Jack Doherty arrested in Miami on drug-related charges

The 22-year-old creator was taken into custody on multiple drug-related charges and his bond was set at $3,500.

WASHINGTON — YouTube prankster Jack Doherty was arrested in the Miami, Florida area Saturday on drug-related charges, according to the Miami Beach Police Department.

Police say the 22-year-old creator “intentionally stepped into the middle of Washington Avenue to film content” around 3:12 a.m. Saturday. They said he blocked traffic and created a “dangerous situation.”

He was arrested after refusing to leave the road, shouting “once I’m done with this bet” in response to police orders, according to police. 

He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and resisting an officer without violence, according to arrest records obtained by NBC News. The charging documents accuse him of possessing amphetamine.

Doherty is known for prank and stunt videos, and has more than 15 million subscribers on YouTube, over 10 million followers on TikTok and more than 3 million followers on Instagram. 

Hours before his arrest, Doherty posted videos of himself on a yacht in Miami and livestreamed his night out on the app Parti.

It was not immediately clear if he has an attorney. His bond was set at $3,500.
