France back-row Axelle Berthoumieu has had her ban for biting Ireland’s Aoife Wafer during their World Cup quarter-final reduced to nine matches after an appeal, after intially being suspended for 12 games.
The 25-year-old will miss Saturday’s semi-final against England and either the bronze match or final on 27 September.
