A 38-year-old woman is fighting for her life after being shot in the head on a Brooklyn street during a quarrel with a gunman who wounded a second victim before fatally turning the gun on himself early Thursday, cops said.
The 50-year-old shooter was arguing with the woman and a 44-year-old man on Greene Ave. near Marcus Garvey Blvd. in Bedford-Stuyvesant when he opened fire on them about 3:40 a.m., police said.
All three people knew each other and the two men may have been romantically involved with the woman, a police source said.
The gunman shot the woman in the head and leg and the man in the stomach before putting the gun against his own head and pulling the trigger, cops said.
The gunman died at the scene. His name was not immediately released.
His two victims were rushed to Kings County Hospital, where the woman remains in critical condition Thursday. The male victim is expected to recover.
