Woman pulled from Lake Michigan near Belmont Harbor, critically injured, fire officials say

CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago Fire Department divers pulled a woman from Lake Michigan Sunday on the city’s North Side.

The water rescue happened around 3:20 p.m. in the 3100 block of North Lake Shore Drive near Belmont Harbor in Lakeview, CFD officials said.

A 29-year-old woman was reported to be in distress in the water at the location.

CFD diving crews responded and pulled the woman from the lake. She was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
