Woman hospitalized after shooting in North Highlands

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A woman was taken to the hospital after a shooting in North Highlands Thursday afternoon.
A spokesperson for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said the shooting was reported along the 7300 block of Salazar Drive.
Few details surrounding the shooting have been released at this time, but officials said the woman’s injuries were life-threatening. Several people were detained, but officials said none were cooperating.
