The woman had exited her vehicle in order to attend to her infant child.
A woman died in Lawrence this week after her vehicle rolled back into her and pinned her against another car, according to police.
The incident occurred on Thursday just before 11 p.m. The woman parked her 2015 Honda CRV on Currier Street and walked around it in order to attend to her infant child. The vehicle began to roll backward, and the woman was unable to stop it, the Lawrence Police Department said in a statement.
After she was pinned against another car, first responders eventually transported her to Lawrence General Hospital. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The woman’s child was also brought to the hospital but was uninjured.
The victim’s name has not been made public. Lawrence police and State Police troopers are continuing to investigate.
