Who is Mysterious Viral Funk Star MR. FANTASY? Listen to His New Single ‘Catapult’ – Culture Fix

MR. FANTASY burst onto the music scene with his self-titled debut single, a funk-pop fusion that has already garnered near 6.5 million Spotify streams at the time of writing. The mysterious musician followed this with second single Wayuwanna. Now MR. FANTASY delivers his third single Catapult, a dancefloor-driven funk pop number.

The star shared: “Thankyou all for listening to CATAPULT I am incessantly watching you and your experience with it and thankyou for all the kind words this song is a PARTY BABAY.” The track is penned by the mysterious MR FANTASY and produced by Florian Gouello. The wild energy of the “British” star’s punctuation is also channelled in the madcap video for the single which you can watch above.

Internet speculation is rife with the belief that MR. FANTASY is a musical alter ego of actor and musician KJ Apa who released his debut album Clocks back in 2021. Eagle-eyed fans have spotted similar features such as tattoos that MR. FANTASY and KJ share. Perhaps he’s just a big fan of Riverdale?
