WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Westfield’s Madison Curbelo has been getting a lot of support from her hometown since she started her journey on The Voice, a singing competition on NBC.

Kim Starsiak with the All Stars Dance Center in Westfield told 22News that their staff and dancers have been supporting Madison from the beginning. Curbelo worked for the dance center as their musical theatre teacher for about 3 years.

Starsiak says everyone at All Stars are huge fans of Curbelo. They held a watch party for her performance on The Voice. The owner and director of the dance center said that they also support her by reminding the community to put in their votes.

“When she started this process last year right around this time we knew we would be 200 percent behind her,” remarked Starsiak. “We are very excited. She is as sweet as can be, she genuinely what you see on TV, very soft spoken, very sweet and the girls and the kids just absolutely adore her.”

The community has been putting in their votes for Madison because she made it to the top 9 in the semi-final competition Monday night.

Watch The Voice on 22News Tuesday at 8 p.m. to see if Curbelo will move forward to becoming one of the five finalists.
